Meet the Sanctuary Kids
"WHAT?!"
A usual morning at the Bakugo home; loud.
"DAMN FUCKING RIGHT WE'LL BE RIGHT THERE!"
And full of cursing. For once however, it was not the son's fault.
14 year old Katsuki groaned and tried to cover his head with his pillow as he heard his mother call his father and scramble to get ready. Maybe he could fake being exhausted and get out of whatever shit he was in now.
"You'd think I'd be used to it by now..." A fair voice groaned.
Katsuki's eyes widened when he realized he wasn't alone in his bed. With a roll of his eyes, he turned to see a blonde girl with yellow eyes and fangs smiling at him.
"Morning Katsuki..." She cooed, nuzzling her nose against his own.
"...Toga." Katsuki sighed, although he made no attempt to push the girl away. "What the fuck are you doing in my room?"
"Missed you." the girl smiled, running a hand through his hair. "It gets lonely in that room, and I wanted to wish you a good morning on your last day of Junior High school."
"Not like it matters, I finished weeks ago." Katsuki smirked, rising up and getting out of bed. "Welp, no use hiding in here if you're here, the old hag'll notice."
Himiko giggled as she sat up herself.
"...Do ya mind?" Katsuki asked, midway through taking off his shirt,
"Nope!" she beamed.
...
...
...
"Kami, you are such a pain in the ass." Katsuki sighed as he grabbed a new shirt.
"That's not what you whispered last night..." Toga cooed, making Katsuki smirk and grunt when she took a small bite of his shoulder. A little bit of blood filled her mouth, and Katsuki's memories and emotions from the previous night filled her:
Determination.
Protectiveness.
Thankfulness.
Adoration.
In spite of it all, Katsuki simply smiled. While he had never found Izuku, the explosive blonde considered finding Himiko an unexpected blessing:
While coverage of the lab was quickly pushed away in favour of the brutal massacre that had come from it, Toga, who the Bakugos took in, ended up making front page new when she explained what had been going on and how she had come to be there: Her parents had sent her there to be 'fixed'; her Quirk required blood and whenever she went without it, her mental state would deteriorate.
What to the public was a correctional facility was actually a front for a mix of inhumane experiments and, apparently for funding, where sadists could 'torture' those held there. Toga had thankfully been spared most of the later, thanks in part to the brave actions of a boy who snuck her out at the cost of his own freedom and regardless of the torture he would endure:
Izuku Midoriya, who had also given her his one possession; an All Might action figure.
While the press relayed most of her story, they were careful to avoided mentioning the Firestater, instead claiming her saviour was among the many dead at the site. Couldn't risk a villain looking more heroic, after all.
Toga's parents found themselves under arrest for child neglect and abuse, and their 'daughter' (she refused to associate with them) was adopted into the Bakugo family. It took some doing and planning, but they eventually managed to work out a deal with a blood bank for Toga to have access to 'about to expire' blood.
With that, she was a slightly loony but ultimately good and kindhearted girl who wanted to become a hero in honour of the boy who saved her and to support the bot she fell in love with. Yes, Katsuki Bakugo and Toga Himiko were a couple; Toga being the only girl Katsuki had yet to beat in anything and Katsuki the only boy never put off by Toga's eccentricities.
"KATSUKI!" Masaru shouted.
This got the two blonde's attention. Mitsuki shouting? Nothing new. But Masaru, AKA the only sane person in the house?
"WHATEVER THEY SAID I DID? I DIDN'T DO SHIT!" Katsuki snapped, but he went ignored.
"THEY FOUND IZUKU!"
No sooner had he said this, the man found his son and the girl they had taken in at the door, already dressed and ready.

A half hour later, the Bakugo family found themselves in Principal Nezu's family, where they were greeted by a familiar face:
A freckled, green eyed and green haired boy. A boy who had been on their minds ever he had since been kidnapped all those years ago,
"Izuku?" the beautiful brunette woman cooed. "Do you remember these faces?"
Izuku's eyes met the blonde boy's.
"K-Kachan?" He asked.
Katsuki's eyes watered
"I haven't heard that for years...!"
"Kachan...?" Izuku asked again, not sure if what he saw was real, especially since the Katsuki he knew had never cried.
The blonde family rushed to hug the green haired boy, but where met with glass.
"What the fuck is...?!" Katsuki demanded.
"Izuku is not yet used to physical contact." Mamako explained, recalling how the boy had screamed in terror when Recovery Girl had changed his bandages, It had taken most of the UA staff to calm him down.
Katsuki had settled for placing a hand on the glass, with Izuku copying him.
"What exactly happened to him?" Mitsuki asked, far quieter than usual. Mamako, fighting tears in her eyes, handed the blonde woman the boy's file. There was not a dry eye in the room and the Bakugos had emptied their stomachs before things were done.
Toga had stayed in the back, not sure how to approach or even speak to the boy who had snuck her out of the lab, only to endure...
She fiddled with the sleeves of her sweater when she heard something fall behind her. Glancing behind her, she saw the All Might toy that had saved her life. Steeling herself, she picked it up and stepped forward, showing it Izuku.
"D-do you remember me?" She asked.
Izuku's eyes filled with tears, but a smile overtook his face.
"Thank Kami...You got out safely!" The boy said, clearing his eyes and nose.
That damn broke in Toga's eyes and she cried as she repeated her boyfriend's action, the two whispering 'thank you' over and over.

As the tearful reunions went on, Nezu appeared before a mass of reporters.
"Thank you all for coming on such short notice." He began, much delight in his tone. He was sure ti get on the Commission's bad side for this, but he didn't care. Besides, if they did anything after this press release? The total slaves to PR that they were; they;d cause so many problems for themselves down the line!
Not to say they wouldn't interfere in some way; Nezu was not ignorant to that. But he'd already calculated their possible actions and was prepared.
Now, time to get things rolling. After taking a sip of tea, the unidentifiable mammal began his speech.
"UA has been the forefront of producing Heroes since the hero occupation began. Our Alumni speak for themselves and showcase what we do. But I ask you today, ladies and gentlemen of the press...what about those who have the skills, but do not have a voice or given no proper choice?"
The reporters seemed confused.
"The lab incident of three years ago and the rise of villains shows us something very wrong is at the forefront of the world we live in. Even with our great Symbol of Peace and the other top 10 heroes, there are those we cannot always save. There are those who are denied the chance to try and become heroes due to circumstances, their blood or other matters. These voiceless individuals often find themselves forced into villainy, and few of them have Quirks that would've made them grand heroes. This is a fact and something you are all quite used to. But a hero works towards making sure injustices are prevented in the future. As the top Hero school in Japan, it only makes sense for UA to do that, is it not?"
A few reporters and viewers began to get an inkling of what Nezu was up to.
"That is why; effective the new school year, UA shall be starting a new curriculum: Class Sanctuary. This program will take in those of outstanding talent or potential but with legal troubles and guide them towards the path of heroism, or should that not be possible, rehabilitation."
The reporters began to howl their questions, but the principal continued.
"Before anyone asks, yes, we at UA are aware of the risk we are taking by enacting such a program. Which is why the students within this program will be housed in an on campus dormitory, and a three strikes system will be in place to expel any who fail to fall in line with the UA guidelines...pending investigations to make sure their actions actually do warrant expulsion, so that UA will not ever have to say it truly created a villain by not investigating properly. However, as long as they are on campus or under the eye of a UA staff member of approved hero, these students cannot be persecuted, arrested or so much as glared at."
Nezu then took a sip of tea and smiled.
"I must depart now, but in order to answer the obvious question, the students of Class S, whose identities will not be available to the public until the Sports Festival, will be under the supervision of Hound Dog, the school guidance counsellor, along with Mamako. And most have already moved into their dormitory. Good day."

Two months later
1 Week before the New School Year Begins
Izuku, still tensing at physical touch, was now well enough to move into his dorm-room. It was currently very bare; a bed and desk. However, Mitsuki and Masaru would be dropping off several boxes of his possessions later; most of it newly purchased and a few things salvaged from the destruction of his Quirk's awakening.
The one thing the boy truly wanted was the framed picture of him and his parents; it was slightly burnt, but their image was still there. That didn't mean however, that he would turn down the All Might Calendar, comics, posters and other memorabilia that Katsuki had bought for him over the years to treat him when he had been found.
The boy seemed uncertain of everything happening; did he really belong at UA after everything? He had missed elementary and junior high school for crying out loud! And yet, he performed greatly on the tests Nezu gave him...
A knock came to his door and pulled him out of his thoughts.
"Hello?" Izuku asked.
"Izu, its me." Toga said from the other side. "Mamako-sensei wants us to all meet in the kitchen."
Izuku took a deep breath and followed the blonde girl, both of them holding the All Might toy. When they came down, they saw they were the last to arrive
"Wait this is our whole class?" Himiko asked. "I only see..."
"There is a reason for that." Hound Dog said. "If this works out, you'll get more classmates that the Hero Association Committee deems 'worthy.' Until then, its just the thirteen of you...and the Committee is clearly betting on you kids not making it through the semester."
This filled the students with anger, although they could understand this.
"Whose the broccoli brat?" A girl with blonde hair with a red streak asked.
Before an answer could be give, the beautiful and motherly dorm matron stepped forward.
"This is the talking stick." Mamako explained as she held up a stick. "Only the person holding it can speak. We're going to go around the room and say who we are,. If you're comfortable enough, you can share your Quirk and the reason you are in this class."
She then turned around and tossed the stick into the air. As if fate was taunting him, it landed into Izuku's hand and he felt all eyes land on him.
"Um...H-hello." He mustered. "My name is Izuku Midoriya..."
The eyes all widened.
"Wait...YOU'RE the fire-starter?" A blue girl asked, a mix of shock, disappointment and pity on her face.
"Funny, I was expecting you to be..." Another girl, this one with pink twin-tails started.
"Taller." A redheaded girl with horns mused.
"Insane." a short albino boy followed. Everyone had the same image in their minds; a cackling fire-wielding pyromaniac
Izuku's hung his head and covered his face with his hands, hiding a blush before realizing:...None of them hated him. They were just shocked, especially one in particular.
"N-no, no, no!" A person with lighter pink hair in a long dress said leaping towards Izuku "Please don't cry! I don't like it! We didn't mean anything mean and I don't know how to deal with friends in pain!"
"F-friends?" Izuku asked.
"Well, yeah..." A green haired girl said. "We...well, kids like us gotta stick together."
Himiko put her hand on the stick.
"He saved me from the same lab." She said. "Stayed behind and...and..."
She couldn't bare to say it; she still couldn't believe how cruel those scientists were to him.
"...All I see is a true man." The single tallest boy Izuku had ever seen said a smile cracking on his face.
Izuku blushed.
"M-my main Quirk is Furnace; I can attract, absorb and flow heat through my body as well as around me. The doctors also gave me my mom's Attraction, my dad's Fire Breath, Super Regeneration, a flying quirk, Database and one more Quirk I can't seem to get a hold on..."
Many whistled.
"Ever since I was little, I wanted to be like All Might, but now..."
"You can and will." Hound Dog cut in. "We'll see to that."
Toga took her turn
"Himiko." She beamed, "Himiko Toga. My main Quirk is Shapeshifter; I need the blood of someone but then I can become them. The lab also forced me to gain Cibopathy, knife creation and a blood manipulation Quirk like Vlad King's...but mine is way weaker. I have a boyfriend who'll start here at UA next week and who happens to be the one person who kept looking for Izuku through and through. I want to be an Underground hero."
She then tossed the stick, which was caught by the person who had tried to comfort Izuku.
"Um...H-hello...M-my name is C-Crona..."
From their back burst a muscular black humanoid with an 'X' on its face an eyes
"And I'm Ragnarok!" The newcomer announced., startling many.
"THE FUCK IS THAT THING?!"
"Language." Mamako said, raising a finger.
"Um...This is..." Crona started before Ragnarok held their head in place and started pulling on their cheek
"They heard my name, dumbass! If all you're going to do is stutter, just shut up and let me do the talking, like the milf said! Unless you want to go back to the sleep deprivation again..."
Crona fought free and began begging.
"No! Don't start waking me up every hour! I don't like it! The dark circles will form under my eyes and I don't know how to deal with the dark circles...!"
"Ragnarok." Mamako announced, her finger raised once again.
"Yes, hot-stuff?" The creature grinned perversely
"Bad."
All Mamako did was move her finger, as if she was lecturing a misbehaving child. But no sooner had the word left her mouth, Ragnarok suddenly collapsed back into Crona's back, letting out an almost comedic wail of pain as it did so.
The students now all felt a bit of dread for the kindly woman.
"Are you alright, Crona?" Mamako asked.
"Y-yes, thank you Mrs. Otsuki." Crona whimpered before returning to their introduction. "Um...Well, Ragnarok is part of my Quirk. I have Black Blood."
The other students looked unimpressed; blood of a different colour? What was so bad about that?
"I can harden my blood, create weapons from it and detect evil in people."
Izuku's eyes widened.
"Amazing! You could probably heal people repair equipment...!" He paused. "Oh, sorry..."
"...C-can you continue after this?" Crona asked. "I..I actually would like to hear more of that."
"LAME!" Ragnarok's head manifested to snark.
"Ragnarok..." Mamako smiled, raising her finger again.
"Staying inside, staying inside!" the creature whimpered as it slid back into Crona.
The pretty boy who bore a starling resemblance to the Dorm matron went next.
"Hi. Names Masato Outsuki. Before anyone asks, yes that is my mom. Feel free to make any Mama's boy jokes if you want. My Quirk is Elemental swords and I' here because...well..."
"Masa is very protective of his mommy." Mamako said.
"Mooooooom!" Her son groaned getting laughs from many as the green haired girl with pointy ears was next.
"I am Amity Blight." She started. "My quirk is Abomination; I can create a golem to follow my orders and fight in my place. I'm here because...well, I want to make up for my family's actions and for..."
She paused and then looked over to Izuku.
"Your parents loved you and you didn't mean to hurt them. Mine? Not so much. In fact, they were part of the Elite Enhancers and tried to kill my best friend...and my Quirk awoke and killed them."
All gasped in shock.
"I know, I know." Amity sighed. "Rock Lock happened to be passing by and took me, my brother and sister in. I want to become someone who can make sure what nearly happened to my friend doens;t happen again."
"I gotta say, your Japanese is phenomenal, Ami!" Toga beamed. "Um, can I call yo Ami?"
Amity blushed and fiddled with her hair.
"I-I guess? And thanks; my girlfriend is a huge anime otaku and insists on watching it in subs, which I love..." She then blushed. "I mean! I wish she tolerated dubs! Like her own Spanish..."
As the green haired girl got lost in her thoughts, the Class S students now all wanted to meet this girlfriend of Amity's; she seemed cool.

Across the world, said girlfriend sneezed, dropping her My Witch Academia manga to the floor, where it landed on her pet skull headed dog, King.
"Mi Hija?" Her mother asked. "Que pasa?"
"De nada, mama!"

The next to speak was a teenager with rosy cheeks wearing a green sweater. However, they didn't speak, instead performing various hand sighs.
"Hi, I'm Chara Demur." Hound-Dog translated. "Years ago, my sister and I were adopted by a group of 'monsters' that were kinder to us than the people in our village, but one thing led to another and I went on a bit of a rampage. I don't really regret what I dud, but I am sorry for why I did it. The only reason I'm here is because my sister asked me to do such. My Quirk is 'Determination'; I get stronger when I don't give up."
The blonde girl with a red stripe in her hair and wearing a jacket Izuku associated with 'big men on campus' took a deep breath and then shouted:
"I'M THE FIRST CAPTAIN OF DONRAMI, THE LEGENDARY ALL FEMALE BIKER GANG FROM SAKA PREFECTURE! THE NAME'S SAKI NIKADO, REMEMBER IT!"
Everyone but the giant boy and Amity cringed at the volume.
"P-please don't yell, Miss Nikaido!" Crona whimpered. "Yelling hurts my ears and makes them bleed. It hurts and I don't know how to deal with the blood in my ears!"
Saki glared at Crona, who whimpered and retreated further into their chair.
"What ya say, Non-Binary? Ya want me to kick your ass?" She growled.
"Saki Chan..." Mamako asked, raising a finer. Saki suddenly tensed and then continued in a normal tone of voice.
"Anyways, the reason I'm here is because Fatgum pulled my ass outta a fire and owed my deadbeat dead dad a favour, something about pushing me towards doing something worthwhile. Since I did a damn fine job bossing those biker chicks around, this Hero shit should be a piece of cake! My Quirk lets me ignore pain!"
Many in the room awed at her quirk and intro.
"Awwww..."
I wrote 'awe!' A. W. E!
"Ooooooh!"
That's better.
"And for the record? I ain't afraid of shit!" Saki snapped, then paused and looked over her shoulder. "But...that lady?"
She whispered.
"...She scares me!"
"Heard that!" Hound-Dog chuckled.
"As did I!" Mamako beamed with a giggle.
Saki grumbled and tossed the stick to the largest boy in the room.
"Names Kongo. Akira Kongoh." He said bluntly and to the point. "I like pudding, my little sister and a damn good fight. I want to remind the nation what a real man is: Strong, dependant, determined and not afraid to show he cares! I'm here on recommendation from Miruko, my Quirk is Violence Mode; pretty much the same as the Hulk in the Pre-Quirk days but not really."
The redhead with horns went next,
"Lucy. Just Lucy. My Quirk is Vector arms, pray you never see me use it. Like Izuku and Toga, I spent most of my life in a lab. Ectoplasm has vouched for me, but I feel i should warn you all; I do not hold back and hate people."
The blue girl was next.
"Paz Luzuli. I was born in the Gem Settlement, uah the one composed solely of people with earth or mineral like Quirks and,,,My Quirk is Singular level, but with water. You name a water based power, I can do it. I may have unintentionally shifted the landscape of were we lived...Honestly I'm just happy to have a home.
The short albino followed.
"I am known as Sho Kusakabe. I am a former member of the White Clad before I was saved by my brother."
Eyes widened: The White Clad was a group fire Quirk users who wished to make the world into a second son. While most of them were scattered to the winds now, many feared they could return, especially since their leader was never caught.
"My Quirk is called 'Severed Universe.'" Sho continued. "In the simplest terms, I can cool my body and the area around me to such a degree that I can skip forward in time. I wish to become a hero to make amends for the many actions I did under the White lad."
One boy, who had remained quiet the whole time and was over a similar complex to Sho, albeit much taller and with what looked like half of a helmet on his head went next,
"My name is Ulqiorra Cifer." The taller albino said. "I was created in the same lab that held Izuku and Himiko. At least that's what I've been told. I do not yet see any point in saying any more than that."
Finally, it was time for the girl with pink twin-tails.
"Hi there, I'm Yuno Gasai and I can make the future happen! My Quirk lets me make anything I write about me within a few minutes come to reality..but only when I'm directly involved and I can't force people to act how I might like. I;m here because...well, I MIGHT have been a little overprotective of my Yuki..."
Lucy and Toga felt a kinship with his girl already.
In fact, by the end of the night, most of the Sanctuary students were on speaking terms with each other; Izuku gave ideas for how to use their Quirks, which they showed off and all the while...they acted like normal teenagers for once.
If only things remained that easy...
To be continued...
How was that?
Next time, the Class S students begin their lessons in heroics...and meet All Might and Class 1A for the first time. How will things go? Will these outcasts prove themselves or will the stigma of society make things difficult for them? Will Katsuki be able ti run damage control and what sort of other threats lie ahead?
Tune in to find out!

"Oh like you can act shocked! You and whatshername practically do NOTHING but phone make outs!" A green haired girl with pointed ears snapped at the single tallest and muscular boy Izuku had ever seen said.
