The yellow lemon drop flowers gently flutter in the breeze, the white tomb almost glows in the moonlight. This is now practically the only spot in the wizarding world that has any sort of niceness or gentleness left; everything else has been destroyed.

"Did you get what you wanted, Albus? Your…"death"…it didn't spur me onward to new heights. It devastated me… And then when I found out it had been faked? I killed the only other two people that knew about it. You, and Snape. Don't you think that was a bit far to go to, to try and get Snape back into Voldemort's good graces? It didn't even work. He was too upset that Draco didn't do the job that he was supposed to, and killed Draco. Snape's mind was almost destroyed when that happened… he came crawling back here, and I was he one that found him. He started muttering about how you'd save him…

"I got the entire story from him. And then I killed him. Everyone thought the Death Eaters had done it, but I… I was in a state of shock. I had just begun to trust you again, and then you faked your own death like that. Well, the next time you died, it wasn't faked. I made very sure of that, old man. Then… I just didn't feel like going on to destroy Voldemort anymore. At least he, though he was…is my enemy, never lied to me. There was never any doubt that he wanted me dead, or why. There were no false promises, nothing.

"So I left. I left the wizarding world. I'm not coming back, old man… I just thought I should tell you this now, before Voldemort manages to destroy even this. At least in the Muggle's world, no one expects anything from me. Except perhaps the Dursleys, but I'm not so much of a fool to go there.

"I hope you enjoy your world now. Your Boy-Who-Lived is now living, for the first time… living in the Muggle world. He and Voldemort, we have a deal. He stays out of the Muggle world, and I don't try to destroy him. We both understand. Neither of us want the Muggles to find out about magic.

"I'm leaving now. I'm never coming back. There's nothing for me here… and I realize now…There never was."

With a quick pop, the short, green-eyed man that had been standing near Albus Dumbledore's tomb disappeared… and the white-masked, black-cloaked figures that had been hiding in the forbidden Forest came up to begin the destruction they were told to do.

A white-skinned, red-eyed man followed them, looking at where the other man had stood. He thought about what would have happened, if Dumbledore hadn't lied… And he was thankful for the lies of the ancient headmaster.

A/N: I firmly believe that Albus and Snape had it set up between them for Snape to kill Albus, whether or not Albus really died, I don't know. I also believe that if Harry ever finds out, he would go psychotic.
