Sombra sat on the throne with Nightmare Moon next to him. "You're sure?" He asks her "They're still in the Crystal Empire though?"
"Sure. Even if they break out of the cell they're days away." Nightmare Moon scoffs.
"Well we need to make sure they do not interfere for the next three days. Once the portal reopens we can let them do what they want." The black unicorn says.
"That reminds me…Nix" Nightmare Moon says looking at him "That red alicorn, Rage, he seemed to recognize you in his dream…"
"Interesting…" the unicorn says "I have no idea who he is…"
"We need to do something about him." Nightmare Moon says. "In every dream or scenario I have run with him hasn't ended well for us."
"What makes him so special?" Nix asks.
"Whatever Twilight and Celestia saw in him..." Nightmare Moon scoffed.
"You'll...never win..." Celestia's voice pants. The three look over to a beaten and wounded Celestia that was being held in a cage made of magical energy.
"The princess awakens." Sombra chuckles. "You see that's where you're wrong...we already have and once we take over CHS...nopony will be able to stand in our way..."
"You're wrong..." Celestia says weakly. "Twilight...and her friends...will stop...you..." The three laugh at the defeated princess.
"Then where are they?" Sombra chuckles. "Stuck in a cell they have no chance of escaping from!"
"Don't...underestimate them..." Celestia spits as she tries to stand up but fails and falls back to the ground. Spike, who had been captured with her, runs over and looks at her worried.
"Twilight will beat you!" Spike shouts at Sombra "Twilight and her friends can do anything!"
"Right and next thing you're going to tell me is that her friend from another world is a god or something." Sombra laughs, "Your empty threats are worthless."
Meanwhile, the mane six and Rage had slipped out of the main dungeon room where no guard was posted. "There has to be some kind of security around here..." Twilight says.
"Shh somepony's coming." Rainbow Dash whispers as they duck back behind a wall. A tall two legged figure of pure shadow with two beady red eyes walked by.
"What was that?" Applejack asks.
"A Dark Spawn." Rage says.
"You know what they are?" Twilight asks.
"Of course. I've dealt with them before. They're not that strong...or smart." Rage says. "Watch." he then whistles and the figure walks over. With a quick and silent shot of magic he fires past it and it follows it leaving them enough space to sneak across the hall to the stairs.
"That was risky." Twilight says.
"Yeah but it works." Rage replies "Every time. They're stupid."
"So what do we do about the rest?" Rainbow Dash asks.
"We can sneak by or fight." Twilight says.
"Doesn't take much to defeat em' the problem is, they have numbers on their side. I have no idea how many we'd be dealing with or how fast they would come." Rage says.
"What about Sombra and Nightmare Moon?" Rairty whispers.
"I don't know…Rage you can sense energy right? Anything?" Twilight asks. Rage closed his eyes and inhaled deeply.
Shortly after the crimson alicorn shook his head "I can't sense anything strong enough to be either of them…I sense Dark Spawns everywhere though…"
"I bet they're holding themselves up in Canterlot…boasting over their triumph." Pinkie Pie spits.
"That would make sense." Twilight says.
"Which puts CHS in danger." Rage says.
"The portal would have closed if they had to fight Princess Celestia." Twilight says as they move again up the stairs to the main level of the Crystal Palace. "We have a few days before it opens naturally."
"What if they go there?" Fluttershy asks.
"Who knows." Rage says "I for one don't think we want to find out."
The seven make it to the main entrance foyer. At the entrance stood a group of about six Dark Spawns. "There's too many to sneak around." Applejack says.
"We could take them out right?" Rarity asks.
"We'd have to be quick so they don't raise an alarm…" Rainbow Dash says.
"Would striking them with magic or something be a possibility?" Twilight asks, looking at Rage.
"It should." Rage says with a nod "A firm magic blast would destroy them."
"By destroy you mean…?" Fluttershy asks.
"Dark Spawns like those are just darkness given a form that acts like it's a living thing. They're nothing more than darkness with basic brainlike activity. They can follow orders and do basic things but that's it. You destroy them and they return to darkness to form again later." Rage explains.
"So we got nothing to worry about!" Rainbow cheers as she rushes in and firmly lands punches on each one cuaisng them to vanish into clouds of darkness.
"Rainbow!" Twilight exclaims as the others run after her. "That was reckless!"
"And awesome!" The pegasus boasts.
"That kind of recklessness could get us killed Dash!" Applejack jeers.
"We have to move." Rage says "We don't have a lot of time before someone notices we escaped. We'd do well to get out of the city before that happens."
"You think they'd be able to lock us in?" Applejack asks.
"Considering…that…yes…" Rarity says pointing up from where she stood outside of the entrance to the Palace. The others walked up and looked in awe. The whole city seemed to have been turned into some kind of internment camp or prison.
Rage looked around and saw strange plant growth everywhere. Vines and flowers of dark purple hues, blood red tones and black shades seemed to protrude from everything. He knew these growths. The same plants from Dark Mobius. Plants that thrived on Darkness. On a few of the vines were strange eye looking fruit. Eye Sentries.
"We'll never escape like this." Rage says. "We'll have to get out through force."
"What makes you say that?" Twilight asks.
"These…" he says walking up to the blue eye like fruit. "They are sentries…no doubt they lead back to where Sombra is. There's no way they don't know we escaped already."
"So what do we do?" Applejack asks.
"We make for the closest way out snd punch through!" Rainbow Dash shouts.
"Yeah…that." Rage says rubbing his head.
"Then let's go!" The pegasus cheers as she starts to fly for the edge of the Crystal Empire.
"Rainbow!" Twilight exclaims before the others follow.
"Dammit this isn't good…" Rage grumbles as he runs as fast as he could. He manages to get in front and fires a bolt of Chaos which strikes the wall surrounding the Crystal Empire and they run through before the hole closes.
"Awesome!" Rainbow Dash exclaims.
"Not awesome!" Rage shouts "If you just kept going that wall would have devoured you."
"What are you talking about?!" Rainbow scoffs "It's a wall!"
"A wall that's a plant!" Rage exclaims pointing to where he blew the hole open that had now been patched up by vines. "If anything now it's clear what they're doing…"
"What?" Twilight asks.
"Why would they try and imprison us as far from Canterlot as they could?" Rage asks "Because they'd hoped it would keep us away long enough to pass through the portal to CHS.
"Yeah and it worked." Twilight scoffs "We're at least a week away on foot!"
"I can use Chaos Control to get us there." Rage says.
"Yeah and get us noticed in the process." Twilight rebuttals "You really think they'd not realize we teleported inside Canterlot?"
"You got a better idea?" Rage asks.
"I do." She says "Why not use Chaos Control to teleport us just outside of Canterlot instead? More of a walk but they won't notice us."
"I hate to interrupt but chances are they already expect us." Rainbow Dash scoffs "There's no way news of us escaping hasn't already been sent."
"She's right." Rage says. "I don't think it matters now. We need to start moving one way or another. There are bound to be search parties coming for us soon."
With that the seven begin their trip south back towards Canterlot. Even if they end up teleporting in the end, they just needed to create distance between them and the Crystal Empire at this point.
"You think we can do this…?" Fluttershy asks.
"We've beaten Sombra and Nightmare Moon before!" Rainbow Dash boasts "They don't stand a chance."
"I'd be worried about that black unicorn." Twilight says "We know nothing about who or what it is. Which is frightening."
"It can't be that bad." Rainbow Dash smiles. "We also stopped Tirek remember?"
"I stopped Tirek…" Twilight mumbles.
"Tirek?" Rage asks tilting his head curiously. "Who was that?"
"Some weird old creepy centaur." Rainbow Dash answers.
"That…doesn't tell me much…" Rage complained.
"He has the power to take energy from others. Eath ponies lose their strength, Pegasai their flight and unicorns their magic. He gets enough he can defeat even the Princesses without so much as a challenge…and he can take Alicorn power as well." Twilight explains. "We nearly lost to him…"
"Makes me wonder if he can take Chaos…" Rage says.
"Not a theroy you want to test." Twilight states.
"Definitely not." Rage chuckles "Just a thought was all."
With that the group walked a few miles with just random banter to keep them going. Rage telling the occasional story from back in CHS.
"Ugh my hoofs are killing me. Can we just teleport to Canterlot now?" Rarity finally complains.
"We have been walking a while I am sure we have enough distance between us and The Crystal Empire." Applejack says looking back where the kingdom wasn't even visible on the horizon anymore.
"As much as I would like that…" Rainbow sighs "It's late and I am far too tired…when we go then we'll be fighting the whole way till we stop Sombra. I don't have the energy to do that."
"Rainbow Dash is right. We should rest before we consider going into Canterlot." Twilight agrees.
"Where do you suggest we rest?" Applejack asks. "In case you've forgotten it's nothing but snow and ice for miles."
"Which we can use." Rage says. "A little transmutation magic and we have a nice camping set."
"Transmutation? I sure hope you can do that Twilight." Rarity says.
"I…don't know." Twilight says.
"I can try…" Rage sighs. He hadn't tried transmutation in ages. He studied some of how it worked on Mobius and even used it a little on Angel Island but that was to shape things into new shapes out of the same material. Full-on transmutation wasn't something he was very skilled at.
Still though, he was the one who could. He walked off to the side of the group and started focusing on the snow around him. The others watch him with great interest. His horn glowed with a brilliant red light as snow on the ground began swirling around and around in spots. With a bright glow of light four decently sized tents with sleeping bags and a small fire popped into existence out of the snow.
Rage let out a heavy sigh "Sorry…I could only manage four tents…" he says.
"It's alright…it's better than sleeping on the ground." Rarity says. "Why don't you take one on your own?"
"It's quite alright if I need to share." Rage says.
"That's awfully generous but you're the guy…we're all girls." The white unicorn chuckles.
"Fair enough." Rage sighs "We should rest though…tomorrow will be a big day…"
"Sleep well." Twilight says as she climbs into a tent with Rarity.
"Night ya'll." Applejack cheers following Pinkie Pie into a tent.
"Rage…?" Fluttershy asks in her soft nervous voice.
"What do you need Fluttershy…?" He asks, looking at her with a warm gaze.
"Thank you." She says "Not…not just for the tents but…for helping Twilight…"
"I was happy to help." Rage says with a smile "Twilight is my friend and any friend of hers is a friend of mine. I'll protect all of you if I have to."
"C'mon Fluttershy…" Rainbow Dash yawns "Let the dude sleep."
"Oh…sorry." She apologized before darting into a tent with Rainbow Dash.
Rage stood a moment and sighs as he puts the fire out. "I hope Sunset is okay…" he murmured as he goes to the last open tent and crawls into a sleeping bag.
Meanwhile in Canterlot Celestia was looking at Spike who had been captured with her. The young purple dragon was shivering in his sleep. "I'm sorry Spike…" the white alicorn sighs. "I failed you and everypony else…" she sulks as she lays her head down to sleep.
Rage opens his eyes to find himself in his mindscape. The place he finds himself in his sleep from time to time. He was still an Alicorn and he sighs. "Blade…?" He asks aloud.
"You called?" A warm voice echoes as a translucent version of the dragon spirit that inhabits his sword appears next to him.
"What should I do?" He asks.
"I am not sure I understand." The dragon replies.
"Twilight and her friends are counting on me Blade…but I can barely fight as an Alicorn and I can't figure out how to change back to my normal form…" Rage sighs.
"By normal you mean Rage Chaotic the Hedgehog or the human Ragis Chaotic?" Blade asks.
"Either honestly. I am used to fighting like that…we can fight together like that…but what are you getting at with a response like that?" Rage replies.
"Surely you've noticed…Rage you've been at CHS for four years now. You've been human for so long…I can tell it's becoming your dominant form…" Blade says.
"I know…" Rage says "I am fine with that…I'm staying at CHS anyway."
"You've made up your mind?" Blade asks.
"Yeah. The Chaos Emeralds are safer in CHS's world." Rage sighs "We can talk about this later though…I came to ask you if you could help with my form problems."
"You forgot the spell…figures." Blade chuckles "It has been… what? Six years since you were taught it and you haven't used it since?"
"Has it already…?" Rage says "Wow…"
"What would you do without me?" Blade chuckles.
"I'd be lost…" he chuckles as the dragon lays its nose on him and a vision of how to change to another non charged form flows back to him. "Thanks…blade…" he days as he feels himself slip away.
The next time he opens his eyes he finds himself back in his tent awakening to the nudging of Twilight. "About time you woke up." She says.
"Y-yeah? How long?" He asks.
"Well it's been about eight hours since you set this camp up." She states as he crawls out of the tent.
"Right." He says as he looks to the others and the tents return to being snow. "We ready?"
"Of course." Rainbow chuckles.
"Once I send us in…we'll have to stop Sombra." Rage warns.
"We know sugarcube. We're ready." Applejack says.
"Alright here we go…" Rage sighs as he uses Chaos Control to warp the group inside of Canterlot. Just a few hundred feet from the entrance to the castle.
Atop the spires of the castle in the throne room Nix, the black Unicorn's head shot around from looking uppn the royal gardens. "Sombra." He speaks.
"What?" The unicorn asks bluntly.
"Did you feel it too?" He asks.
"It seems like we have company." Sombra chuckles.
"You won't win…" Celestia jeers hearing them and feeling the presence of the others. "Twilight and her friends will stop you…"
"Enough." Sombra shouts "I find your useless banter annoying Princess Celestia…"
Back with the mane 6 and Rage they made it to the entrance doors of Canterlot Castle. Rainbow Dash kicks open the door and they walk in.
"I was expecting more guards." Rage says.
"I know. It's like they're underestimating us…ot they have a trap." Twilight says.
"I fear the ladder." Rage agrees. "Stay alert."
The seven make their way to the throne room. What resistance they did encounter they destroyed with ease.
Inside the throne room Nix, Sombra and Nightmare Moon were ready to meet the seven face to face. It was only a matter of time before they arrived.
"They made it through faster than I expected…" Nix says.
"It doesn't matter." Sombra chuckles "We will end them here."
The seven had made it. They stood looking at the door to the throne room. "This is it." Rage says.
"No turning back…" Twilight says. "Are we ready?"
"Just bust it down so we can show them what for!" Applejack cheers.
Twilight then fires a blast of magic at the door and it is blown open. The seven walk into the room meeting the three conquerors face to face.
"So we finally meet for good." Nix chickles.
"We're here to put an end to this." Twilight says "You all have caused enough suffering."
"Please you couldn't stop us back in The Crystal Empire and you can't stop us now." Sombra laughs.
"This isn't the Crystal Empire." Rage says "Twilight is on our side and I don't have any reason to hold back."
"Tough talk…let's see if you can back it up!" Nix laughs as he fires blasts of dark energy at the group who all leap to evade. He fires more and Rage puts a barrier up blocking them
Sombra sneers and rushes for Rage who lept over him and fires a beam of electric energy at Nix. Twilight then shot a magic beam striking Sombra.
"You won't stop us!" Nix shouts as he morphs into a humanoid form. "I'll show you just how outmatched you are!" He chuckles as he begins to form a large ball of dark magic.
"Hmph I was going to say that." Rage chuckles as he glows. Nix fires the beam which surrounds Rage and creates a large explosion. The force of which sent everyone else flying back.
"Fool." Nix chuckles. A thick cloud of dust clouded the area where Rage was. As it dispersed it showed nobody there. Nix laughs.
"Rage!" Twilight screams.
"So do you still plan to resist?" Nix chuckles "You can give up and we'll let you go…"
"You…you…" Twilight stammers glares at Nix. She then lunges for him but is stopped by Sombra.
"You can suffer the same fate." Sombra says as he kicks her.
"For the great heroes of Equestria you are pretty pathetic." Nix smiles.
"Burn…" Rage's voice then echoes from next to Sombra. It was then Rage struck him with his hoof.
"What?!" Nix exclaims
"What's pathetic is you and your unicorn buddy preying on the defenseless ponies of Equestria." Rage states.
"Impossible…" Nix gasps. "You were-"
"Blown away." Rage finishes for Nix. "Yeah thanks for that by the way." He says rubbing the back of his neck.
"Hmph you sure are capable of quite a cocky attitude." Nix scoffs "You still can't stop me…"
"Time to stop messing around then." Rage sighs as he glows. Slowly he shifts back to his human form.
"What!?" Nix exclaims looking at Rage "You're human?"
"Oh so Nightmare Moon didn't tell you?" Rage chuckles "I figured you knew already given the fact she brought me here while posing as Luna."
"When did you figure out how to change back?" Nightmare Moon asks.
"Doesn't matter." Rage states extending his right arm. He summons his sword and points it to Nix. "We end this here and now."
"Your tricks do not intimidate me." Nix scoffs as he forms a sword out of solidified dark energy and rushes for Rage. The two clash their blades.
As they fought, Twilight was going at it with Sombra. Rainbow Dash and Applejack backing her up the unicorn was struggling against the three.
Nightmare Moon watched as her two allies were battling, unsure who to help. "When will you realize there's no winning for you…?" Celestia spoke up. Nightmare Moon looks over to the imprisoned Alicorn.
"What did you say?" She asks.
"You know as well as I do Twilight will not give up. She and her friends will defeat Sombra. They've done it before." Celestia responds "As for Rage…you've seen first hand what he can do…give up…"
"You mean his dream? Ha don't make me laugh Celestia." Nightmare Moon spits.
"Now!" Applejack shouts to Twilight. She and Rainbow Dash managed to restrain Sombra. The purple alicorn nodded and her horn glows with a banishment spell to seal him away once more.
"I'll be back!" Sombra shouts "You can't get rid of me that easily!"
"Not this time Sombra.." Twilight shouts before he vanishes into a puff of smoke which flew off to the North.
"That's that." Twilight pants looking over to Rage who was fighting Nix and now Nightmare Moon.
"Give up!" Nix shouts "You can't stop us!"
"The fact you don't remember me is insulting…" Rage scoffs as they clash again before he leaps into the air evading one of Nightmare Moon's magic beams.
"Why should I know who you are?!" Nix spits at Rage launching towards him.
"Alright, you know what screw it." Rage scoffs "Burn!" He shouts before becoming engulfed in a pillar of fire "Bureijingukaosu!" His voice echoes.
"What's going on?" Fluttershy asks in fear.
The fire pillar faded and Rage stood with long black hair and amber eyes glowing as he glared at Nix. "Ryuu Saishu Burijingukaosu…" he states.
"It can't be…" Nix gasps.
"I am ending this here and now!" Rage shouts angrily as he rushes for Nix faster than he could react. Nix felt a searing pain as he looks to see Rage had slashed him with his sword.
Rage then looks to Nightmare Moon and leaps firing a blast of magic at her. She smirks and uses one of her own to defend against the attack. This resulted in a large cloud of smoke. Rage then runs right for the smoke.
"Rage-" Applejack starts to say but Rainbow Dash covers her mouth.
"Shh." She says "I think he knows what he's doing…"
Rage reaches Nightmare Moon and his free hand glows with a bright whithe light. "Absolute Purge!" He shouts sucker punching Nightmare Moon in the face.
The alicorn gasps in surprise as Rage's fist makes contact with her face. The force was enough to send her into the wall of the throne room. Nightmare Moon remained collapsed there.
Rage once more turns to Nix who was watching him in disbelief. "Alright Nix…time to end this."
"How…is this possible?" Nix asks in shock "Just who are you?!"
"I am Ragis Chaotic, The Last Chaos Guardian…" Rage says "Your worst nightmare…"
Nix screams infuriated by how quickly Rage had turned the tables and rushes at him swinging his sword wildly only for Rage to evade him.
"Take the loss with some pride Nix." Rage scoffs blocking a strike and kicking the dark figure back.
"N-no this isn't it…" Nix says weakly. "I won't lose to a bunch of weak ponies and some…some…wannabe…"
"Before I end this, tell me, Nix, how did you get here from Mobius?" Rage asks.
"How do you…know of Mobius…?" Nix pants.
"You still haven't figured that out?" Rage sighs "I really must have kicked your ass hard last time if you can't even remember me…oh well."
Rage, fed up with entertaining Nix, deals the final blow. His sword glows with a bright white-yellow color and he strikes. Nix then fades into a mist of energy. With that he changed to his normal human form, then back to his alicorn form. He nearly fell to the ground had Rainbow Dash not flown over to help hold him up.
"You okay?" The pegasus asks him.
"Y-yeah…" Rage says weakly "Thank you…" he grunts standing up right.
"Don't push yourself." Twilight warns.
"Don't worry…about me…" Rage answers as Spike runs over to Twilight and hugs her.
"I was so worried about you!" Spike cries. "I thought you'd never come!"
Twilight hugged the baby dragon as Celestia walked up to the group. Twilight looks at Celestia "Are you alright Princess?"
"I am fine." She answers. The princess looks at Rage and bows her head "Thank you..Rage…" she says.
"It's…no big deal." Rage says with a soft smile.
"It is." Celestia says. "You went out of your way for us here with no expectation of a reward or anything…that is a big deal, Rage."
"Hey I was happy to help a friend." He says looking at Twilight "and if I made a few more in the process then that's a plus too."
"Well…I hope you'd be willing to stay for another day." Celestia says "So we can thank you properly."
"By that you mean…what exactly?" Rage asks.
"Well…usually things like this end in a big address to the Kingdom and a feast." Celestia says.
"I don't know if him being in public like that is a good idea." Twilight says "Given his predicament."
"I don't want anyone to get the wrong idea." Rage says "I was happy to help Equestria but…given my appearance I don't want anybody thinking I am royalty or anything…"
"I understand." Celestia says "Well how's this, you're free to come and go as you please Rage."
"What do you mean…?" Rage asks, tilting his head curiosly.
"You're welcome here in Equestria any time." She says "I would be more than happy to have you back."
"Thank you." Rage says. "Would I be okay to bring Sunset Shimmer with me…?" He asks. Celestia looked at him a bit concerned "I know how you feel about her but she's changed." He says. "If she was still as evil as you think I wouldn't vouch for her…nor would I be her friend…"
"Rage is right Celestia." Twilight says. "Sunset Shimmer has changed."
"Alright…" Celestia sighs "I'll allow it…however one misstep…"
"I know." Rage says bowing his head "Thank you…" he yawns.
"You should rest before you head back." Celestia says. "Let me walk you back to a room."
"You don't have to." Rage says.
"I insist." She replies signaling to Twilight to have her and the others start helping other ponies so that they could start getting things organized again as she walks Rage down the hall.
"Okay Celestia what is it you wanted to say without the others around?" Rage asks her as they walked.
"Never miss a beat do you?" She chuckles "I wanted to ask if we could ever count on you again if we needed help…?"
"I don't know Celestia I have two other worlds I look after right now…" Rage replies thinking. "I guess Sonic and Shadow could worry about Mobius…" he mutters to himself.
"Mobius?" Celestia asks.
"Sorry just thinking aloud." Rage says, looking at her. "Only if it's extreme and I am a last resort."
"Of course." Celestia says "If Twilight, Luna or I have to come all the way to get you then it's going to be serious…"
"If that's the case I will be happy to help defend Equestria." Rage nods. As he opens the door to the room he had been using as a guest.
"Thank you." Celestia says "It puts me at ease knowing we have another pony willing to help when things get dark."
"If it's Darkness you're worried about, that's my specialty." Rage smiles. "Stopping some Dark God or the like is just another Monday for me at this point."
"I'll he sure to remember that." Celestia chuckles. "Sleep well." She wishes as Rage closes the door behind him. Exhausted Rage lets a heavy sigh out and crawls into bed. He lets a yawn out and his eyes droop closed and he slowly drifts off to sleep.
The next morning Rage was next to the portal to CHS with Twilight and her friends saying good bye. "Remember if you need me you know where to find me." He says hugging Twilight.
"We will." She promises "See you soon?"
"On better terms, definitely." Rage smiles.
"Of course." Twilight nods as Rage waves walking back through the mirror to CHS.
"I guess he was alright." Rainbow Dash says.
"I can see why you were friends with him." Rarity says to Twilight.
"Yeah…" Twilight says softly.
"You alright sugarcube?" Applejack asks.
"Yeah, sorry." Twilight answers. "I am fine."
On the other side Rage staggered out of the portal and nearly fell over had Sunset Shimmer not caught him. "Thanks." He says giving her a hug.
"How'd it go?" She asks.
"Equestria saved and everyone is happy." Rage says. "With a come back soon request to boot."
"Who wants you to come back?" Sunset asks wtih a chuckle.
"Princess Celestia herself. Oh and you're coming with." Rage replies.
"I don't know if that's such a good idea…I don't exactly have a…good rap in Equestria…" Sunset says, rubbing the back of her head.
"Well that's up to you." Rage says "How long was I gone?"
"It's about 3:30" Sunset says.
"How many days?" Rage asks, crossing his arms.
"Days? It's only been a few hours!" Sunset objects.
"Hours?" He asks "It was three days in Equestria! I think…?"
"So let me get this straight…Twilight said she'd been gone for a few months, it's been almost three years. You were there for three days but only a few hours here?" Sunset asks. "That doesn't make sense…"
"No it doesn't." Rage says "Weird…could it have to do with the portal…?"
"No idea." Sunset replies.
"We should probably head home. Don't want to get caught here by any of the teachers." Sunset says "Plus…" she pauses to yawn. "I am exhausted waiting for you."
"You didn't have to." Rage says giving her a kiss on the cheek as they start walking. "But I am glad you did."
"I am glad you came back safe. I worry about you when you're off being a hero Rage…" Sunset says.
"I know which is why I try to limit it." Rage says. "The only reason I went was because of what Sombra did to Twilight…"
"I know." Sunset says "What'd you think though?"
"It was…weird to say the least." Rage says. "It will take some getting used to if I go back. Specifically…fashion norms…"
"You mean the fact that aside from the guards wearing armor almost everyone doesn't really wear anything aside from the occasional hat or bag?" Sunset asks which Rage nods at. "Yeah I can see that. Given norms here at CHS and well, even you wear clothing on Mobius…"
"Yeah." Rage chuckles "Then there was the whole alicorn thing…that was weird."
"Yeah, did you ever figure out why you turned into one?" Sunset asks.
"Well the consensus from Celestia and Twilight was that it may have to do with my Chaos powers." Rage says "We'll have to watch it if I go back."
"Definitely…don't want any of the residents to think you're royalty or something." Sunset nods as they walk up to Rage's house. "Well good night." She smiles.
"Good night." He says giving her a gentle kiss. "Sleep well Sunset." He wishes as he closes his door.
"Good night Rage." says back.
