"Still no reply on the radar?" I stood on the observation deck, constantly scanning the horizon for anything. the large smoke cloud seemed to be getting smaller. The rising sun was making it difficult to pick out any distinguishable features. I had Javelin trying to contact anyone with the radio but to no avail. Even with the damage it was still protocol to send out radio messages to alert nearby ships to the attack.

"Still noting. Radar isn't giving me anything either. With our current speed we will reach the port within the hour, want me to speed up?" Javelin stood beside me, she too kept looking around nervously.

We were close enough that we would have heard any gunfire, so it was best to assume the attack was over. "Do it, but don't put any strain on yourself. Keep your eyes open in case more ships appear from the sea." the ship slowly gained speed; the whir of the engines now fully audible along with the feeling of a small kick whenever the ship went through a wave.

As we got closer to the port and the sun cleared the horizon the situation looked grim, the smell of gunpowder and ash filled the air as most of the gun emplacements were burning wrecks, loose cargo and wreckage began to litter the sea. I kept looking for any survivors but from my own experience I knew it was a slim chance. I hadn't even noticed that at some point Javelin had grabbed my hand.

"Careful now, we could be going over sunken ships, best not to get grounded out here." we had begun our entrance into the port. burning Wherehouse's, cranes and ships were everywhere. I could see people fighting fires and moving wounded, some stopped to look at us as we came by before returning to their work.

Then we saw them, destroyed siren ships slowly sinking into the harbour, each one almost unrecognisable from the amount of shell impacts across their hull. The sea around them slowly becoming a black oily mess.

"what's with all that black stuff? it's not sitting above the water like oil." Javelin asked. All of her ship's guns were trained on the sirens as soon as they were visible, just waiting for them to show signs of still being active.

"Surprised you don't know. When a siren ship is destroyed, they either explode or dissolve into that black tar, its highly poisonous so its best we keep clear of it." Eventually the tide would come and spread it out into the ocean. It was well known that the waters near ports had become devoid of any form of aquatic life, and with every attack fishermen had to go farther and farther out to sea.

"Ah I never really got to fight against sirens back then, and when I did it never usually ended well."

I started looking for a berth or dock to stop at, most were filled with wrecks or had taken too much damage to be useable, one had a large black plane crashed into it, fire slowly burning on it while it broke apart. "that's not good, siren aircraft are incredibly rare, if one of them is here than it's a surprise there's anything left standing."

"I wonder what shot it down. Even my cannons would struggle to track one going full out." we passed it and saw an open berth next to a destroyed cargo ship. It was completely burned and sunk low into the water. Whatever it had been carrying must have been explosive, most of the hull had been blown outward. The type of fire to have caused that wouldn't have left much of a chance for survivors.

"That should do, just get along the side of it and drop your anker, don't think the harbour master would overly care at this point." after receiving a "Aye" in return I began making my way down the ship and next to the railing to watch us come in. With almost pin-point accuracy the ship came alongside the concrete with barely an inch to spare. The splash of the anker came when we fully stopped. Eventually Javelin came down and stood next to me. She looked down at the hard ground with a concerned look.

"Haven't been on land since my launch, Ships aren't meant to be on land."

I put a hand on her shoulder. "Ships don't tend to be human girls either, I'm sure you will be just fine, Wait here a second." I brought my legs over the railing before jumping the small distance onto the ground, fortunately the deck of the Javelin wasn't too high up. I raised my hands up. "Come, I'll catch you."

She stood there for a moment rocking back and forth before nodding, she did the same as me but took a deep breath before jumping. Grabbing her in my arms I went to put her down.

"Wait." she called before quickly wrapping her hands around me to keep her off the ground. Once again, she waited while taking a few deep breaths. "OK, But slowly please."

I slowly lowered her down until I felt her shoes touch the ground, her grip around me tightened for a few seconds before relaxing, I finished putting her down before stepping back. She looked down on the ground she stood on. Tapping the ground with her shoes a few times before kneeling down to touch it. I was just happy to be on solid ground again.

After taking a few cautious steps she turned to me with a large smile. "This is wonderful, it feels so solid and there isn't any sway at all.

"Yeah, land tends to be like that. What about your ship, are you still able to fully control it on land?" The sound of movement came from the ship as Javelin tested herself. "Yeah, Feels a little strange though. I have this feeling that something is missing."

"Guess I would feel strange if part of myself was separated, but you seem fine. Let's go find someone to tell us what happened here, hopefully find us some food too." She nodded before moving over to my side as we began walking down the berth.

We had only gotten around half way down when a loud whistle called out to us. Looking over I could see a mostly still intact pier with a figure at the end of it waving towards us, it begun to walk down the pier after I waved back. "Who's that?" Javelin asked.

"No idea, must have seen us come in and wants a chat. Strange though, last time I looked nobody was on the pier." I thought for a moment about how I was going to explain everything, without a doubt a lot of questions would be asked. From my survival to Javelins existence. "Hey Javelin this is going to sound strange but could you keep the whole being a ship thing between us for now, still trying to get together a decent explanation for you without sounding like a complete lunatic."

"Okay, but it's going to be hard to explain why there is only two of us on a ship that's supposed to house a hundred and eighty."

"Yeah, let's just hope there not the inquisitive type." We continued walking; the figure also continued to come towards us. Looking around I could see evidence of the port taking heavy amounts of fire. Almost every structure was in ruins. Usually, a siren attack had been a quick hit and run. Destroying everything possible then leaving before the port could put together an effective resistance. They had never gone into the ports waterway before and to see siren aircraft attacking a port was unheard of. I had heard stories from old sailors of the sky being blocked out as wave upon wave of aircraft descended down to wreak havoc on the convoys that occasionally travelled across the Atlantic.

It was almost as if the sirens wanted something destroyed.

We were properly on land as the person came into view.

Surrounded in an ocean of industrial grey and charred black, the blue of her dress shone like a beacon. Walking with an aura reminiscent of the old nobility and making a small curtsey when we finally met. She spoke with a deep English accent. "Greetings, it is a pleasure to see a friendly ship this fine day, unfortunately the port has had a spot of trouble over the night and into this morning so I don't think the proper authorities are in any capacity to assist you."

She offered out her hand, shaking it I noticed her deep blue eyes, along with a pendant on her chest with a small crow painted onto it. "That's fine, were just glad to be on dry land, the sea has not been kind these last few days."

She moved her hair and looked out to sea. "She rarely ever is, but there is a beauty to it don't you think?"

I sighed. "Not when your life is the one on the line. Anyway, the names James and this here is, err, Javelin. I don't think I got yours, miss?"

She looked over to Javelin, then over to our ship. "Javelin, what a wonderful name. It's good to see the young miss in good health." She patted Javelin on the head. "Is there anything I can assist the two of you with, I think you will find me quite capable."

Ignoring javelins quiet response of "I'm not that young." I asked. "Yes actually, you wouldn't happen to know of the whereabouts of a cargo ship that would have probably arrived a few days ago from Dublin, or the where we could find some of her crew?"

Her mood changed; the once gentle smile became a frown. "I'm afraid the ship you seek was the one you came across upon your arrival, it had only begun unloading when the port came under attack from the air and seemed to be the sirens main target. As for her crew, the young boys put up a Valiant effort but their souls belong to the ocean now. May I ask as to why you enquire about this ship?"

"We are looking for some cargo that was on the ship, two blue cubes about this big." I used my hands to show the rough size of the cube. "Probably traveling with a man from the university of London." It had come clear now why the port was attacked, if Javelins cube had attracted sirens to the Endeavour, then this port had its fate sealed when the ship arrived.

Surprisingly her smile returned. "don't worry I am sure your questions will be answered soon, but for now I believe it is the time for rest, it has been a challenging morning. Come we will look for some place to get food and hopefully some tea."

She gestured for us to follow before turning to walk away. Seeing no reason not to I begun to walk.

It had only been a few minutes before javelin suddenly stopped, she looked around worryingly before tugging on my sleeve. The women in front looked to the sky before sighing. "The new destroyers did come with better air radars." I was about to ask what she meant before the air erupted with the sound or emergency sirens. "What's going on, the sea looks clear"

She pointed up into the sky, a small black mass could be seen slowly approaching. "From what I gather, upon discovering their carrier to be destroyed the air wing has returned to expend the last of their ammo before using themselves as weapons. I had hoped they would have just ditched into the ocean."

I had begun to panic, even if we ran, we wouldn't get to the Javelin in time. "Carrier? What do you mean, nobody has seen one in decades, let alone destroy one. Besides that, you need to come to my ship, I know it sounds crazy but you need to trust us." Javelin was holding onto me looking into the sky with panic in her eyes, she had said she could still control her ship but from the angle the aircraft were coming from, most of her guns were blocked by a large Wherehouse.

"I don't believe there is any need for that. Nor any reason to panic." she cleared her throat before standing upright. "I do apologise for being deceptive to you, knowledge is power after all. But if miss Javelin can trust you than I believe so can I. Now prepare to witness the glory of the royal navy." the air around her began to shine a bright blue before four beams of light came out from her. They were replaced with four red metal beams holding up four large turrets; a metal clip appeared around her waist while an anchor swung from behind her. Finally, two small funnels appeared on the top of her shoes.

"HMS Hood, admiral class battlecruiser at you service, may we sail with favourable winds." she finished by slightly Raising each side of her dress and bowing down again. A white hat appeared on her head with a ship's superstructure on top.

I went to say something but was interrupted by Javelin. "Oh, my goodness hood! It's such an honour to meet you." she ran over to her and went to shake her hand. Speaking a million miles an hour she continued "that was amazing. Is this your ship, how did you do that? Can you show me."

"You know each other?" was all I was able to say. The turrets connected to her were slowly moving around. The sheer amount of metal connected to her must of weighed an absurd amount but she still stood normally.

Javelin was the first to answer. "I never got to sail alongside her, but everyone in the navy knew of the mighty Hood, she was the largest, greatest ship in the navy for the longest time."

"Please you make me out to be something more than I am, there are many ships deserving far more praise than myself. But we must not get distracted from the situation at hand. I gather from your reaction that you are unaware of controlling your ship like this, while there is a reduction in firepower the manoeuvrability and strength it grants is more than enough compensation. I could try and show you how to produce your own rigging if you desire."

Javelin spun and moved to me. "Please can she show me, if I'm able to do something like that then dealing with these sirens would be easy, not to mention how cool it looks.

I looked to the aircraft that were almost upon us, the ports defences had opened fire but I could tell they had already taken heavy damage. "Will it hurt her?" I moved my gaze to Hood. "While I cannot give certainty, I can say when I first did, I didn't feel any pain, I will try to make it easy for miss Javelin."

I gave Javelin a pat on the head. "I was telling the truth when I said it's your ship, go ahead, I will be right here if you need me."

After nodding to me she moved to hood, who took her hand and moved next to the water, after kneeling down she placed her hand on her shoulders. "First, I need you to close your eyes. Try to picture your ship as it is. Now find that power you use to control it and ask for it to guide you." Javelins face scrunched up in concentration. "I've got something but it's just not quite there."

"I feared as much. Unfortunately, I was only capable when my life was in mortal peril. It must be part of our fight or flight response." I watched Hoods grip on Javelin shift slightly. "I hope you can come to forgive me for this." before I could react Hood pushed Javelin over the edge and down into the water.

"Javelin!" I ran over to the edge ready to jump in for her, Hood calmly put a hand in the way. "I do apologise but this was how I learned how to do this." I tried to move her arm but found it impossible to even move it. A bright light further down the port stopped my struggle.

Javelins ship was surrounded in a bright blue light. White streaks appeared all over it before the ship seemed to shatter into hundreds of pieces, they remained still for a second before flying over at an almost impossible speed and down into the water where Javelin had gone.

Water erupted upwards as a blast of wind pushed me down onto the floor.

A Whirring sound from behind made me turn to see its source, a siren plane was coming straight towards us. Two bombs on each wing glowed red. I brought my arms up in a futile attempt to shield myself but was saved as two large explosions rang out from behind me followed by two shells flying into the plane and detonating. It veered off and crashed into the ground away from us.

Javelin suddenly landed In front of me. Connected to her hip Just like Hood she had also gained rigging. Still softly glowing a large Smokestack had appeared on her back, connected to a metal arm that held one of her torpedo launchers. With smoke still coming out of the barrel one of her main cannons had become a smaller version of itself and seemed to hover over her left hip. She turned to face me with the largest smile possible. Reaching out a large white light appeared in her hand before forming into a metal Javelin that she twirled around with ease.

I went to stand up but was immediately thrown into a rather tight hug from Javelin. "This is amazing, I feel even more powerful than before, thank you so much for letting me have this. I promise to never let you down, no matter what."

"I know you never would, but would you mind dealing with the sirens first, then you can hug me all you want." She moved back looking up into the sky, while some of the aircraft had moved to attack the port most were now beginning to come directly towards us. "Right, you just wait right here." Before I could reply she had already begun running.

Leaping once more she landed on the water, a jet of water came from her feet as she began what could only be described as skating across the water at breakneck speeds. Her cannon began firing at the sirens drawing their attention. "She really has a lot of energy that one. I believe it would be in your best interests to find at least some cover, we will deal with this shortly." Hood said before also leaping onto the water and moving away, the weapons on her rigging also begun firing into the air.

It was a spectacle to observe, several times both Javelin and Hood were attacked, Bombs fell beside them, each easily able to move aside from the blast. The same blue shield shone around them that I had seen before, protecting them as they returned fire to the siren bringing it down.

Javelin was faster, constantly leaping and dodging around ensuring that the sirens couldn't get a proper line on her, while Hoods movement were slower but were reminiscent of the same grace seen in a ballet dancer. Soon all the aircraft had changed target and were now completely focused on the two, the water becoming a maelstrom of bombs and gunfire, but little by little they were shot down. Javelin had been able to hit more aircraft Than Hood. I remembered her saying that she was designed for anti-air and was showing her skill in the matter. Soon the last flaming wreck of the siren crashed down into the sea and a relative calm came over the area again. Distant cheers from dockworkers could be heard.

While Hood begun to return Javelin spent a little while extra on the water, skating around before also returning, her speed making it so they both leaped up onto land at relatively the same time. "Did you see me out there, the sirens just kept coming but I kept taking them all down." she began walking towards me her rigging became surrounded in light again before disappearing into her.

"I did see, it was very impressive. So, you just able to keep that rigging stuff inside of yourself now?"

"Yep, I don't know how I knew how to do all of that but it just came naturally, but doing this should make our trip to London far easier now, and with Miss Hood with us then there shouldn't be anything to worry about." she stopped, turning round to Hood who had also put her rigging away and was now fixing both her dress and her hair, somehow her white hat had remained. "Oh right, Hood would you like to come with us to London? Apparently, there are more cubes there, so we might find more ships. Please say yes."

Hood looked surprised for a second at Javelins sudden request but soon returned to the gentle smile she normally had. "Don't think I have much of a choice, if there is more of our kin there then we must ensure their safety. You said the university of London did you not? Then that makes the most logical next step to make, how would you have us reach this destination? The city is rather far inland."

"We could take a train, if we walk further into Liverpool, the main train network will be there to distribute the ports cargo. Its best to have ships unload as quickly as possible then distribute away from the waterfront, Reduces collateral." After receiving nods from both of them we began walking, the area we were had been surprisingly quiet, I guessed if the sirens were gunning for Hood, then this wouldn't have been the safest place.

With my hand in my pocket, I was discreetly counting my money. Surprisingly the amount hadn't changed since the last time I checked. The fare for three people was going to take almost all of it. I hadn't eaten in days and with all the fighting Javelin and Hood had been through they were probably also feeling the hunger as well. That is, if they even eat normal food.

I was explaining to Hood our trip across the Irish sea when we began to see people, now with the threat of attack gone for the moment and most of the major fires under control, they were surveying the damage and beginning the tedious work of getting the port back into working order, convoys would begin to arrive soon and if they were caught in the water waiting to unload the damage would be catastrophic. Some would stop and look at us as we passed, where I probably looked normal in this environment both Hood and Javelin stuck out.

"I'm surprised people are not lining up to praise you or anything, you did save the port after all." Hood who had quietly walked a step behind me this entire time spoke. "I came around during the dead of night and was immediately thrust into combat, the darkness of the night along with the chaos of combat mean there was probably a rare few who saw me. I was chasing down the carriers when dawn came. Those that saw us on the water probably know, but I think it's better this way."

"How so?"

"Better for them to believe that it was by their own actions and perseverance that they saw this day through, an attack like this will decimate morale and many would have lost friends. So, I would rather they claim the victory." The look of exhaustion of the workers faces confirmed what she said. They were all quietly working away, only occasionally speaking when needed. Some had just found somewhere to sit and were staring off into the distance.

Javelin tightened her grip on my hand as she walked alongside me. "Is this what you've had to endure all this time?"

I ruffled her hair and put on a reassuring smile. "Don't worry, it may look bad now but give it a few weeks and the port will be back to normal. The people here have been beaten down many times and always get back up stronger than they were before."

We continued to walk for roughly an hour, not making much distance due to having to go round rubble and destroyed buildings, I could see the larger parts of the city now and even slowly growing steam cloud as the trains started to run again. A tap on my shoulder came from Hood as she quietly pointed towards a collapsed crane. She then looked down to Javelin.

Realising what she had seen I stopped. "Hey Javelin. Do you think you could do us favour and search out a path for us, with you being quick it would save time having to constantly double back."

She looked at me for a while before smiling and giving a simple "yep." before quickly jogging away.

"Thank you. The young should be spared the brutality of war as much as possible." Hood commented as we walked over to the crane. What she had seen was a dockworker who had been partially crushed by a part of the fallen crane. The movements of his chest indicated he was still alive.

I didn't have much in the way of medical training but just by looking at his injury's I could tell they were fatal. "Hood there's nothing we can do for him, even if we somehow get the crane off him, I'm afraid it's too late."

"I know." was all she said before making the final steps towards him. He reached up for her as she kneeled by his side. Taking his hand, she placed her other hand at the side of his face. "Shh, its ok don't try to speak, just rest now. Don't worry I'm here." she began to softly hum to him. His body seemed to relax as his breathing slowed. I too felt myself relax at the gentle tune, after a while The grip on her hand weakened as he took his last few breaths before eventually slipping away. She remained there for a minute before placing his hand on his chest and standing back up.

A tear could be seen on her face before she quickly rubbed it away. "My memories are not so clear as I would want them to be, but I know my sinking was not kind to my crew. Their pain is something I must carry, and I can accept that. If we have been gone as long as you say we have, then sights like this are probably commonplace around the world." She straightened out her dress before continuing onward.

I turned and walked alongside her, before I could say anything she changed the topic. "Javelin says you are going to the university of London, I'm sure it crossed you mind what their reaction would be to the both of us."

Like many things I had been trying to avoid overly thinking about it, but the worry was there. "I know. The concern only grew when you showed your rigging. Two women capable of incredible feats, able to destroy sirens with ease. I'm sure countries would be willing to go to war for even one of you. I promised Javelin I would keep her safe. I would just not go and keep your existence a secret but there's cubes there, if they activated at the same time as you two, then I dread to think what has happened to her."

"If I may put forward a proposal then. You mentioned that you were chartered to only transit Javelin's cube. So only arrive with her. Keep my existence as a secret, that way if the situation becomes dire then we can reveal our trump card and simply walk out." She looked over to me with a sly smile.

Despite how she looked Hood had come across as a tacitly minded person, back when we first met she had hidden her identity and now she was saying this. "Definitely a plan, hopefully it won't come to that, I really don't want to end up being wanted."

"It probably won't but it's always good to plan for the worst and hope for the best, but no matter what just know I have your back, If Javelin can already willing to call you captain and from what I've seen then I know my trust is well placed. Speaking of which, it seems she has returned to us."

We had turned a corner to see her leaning against a wall. "I know why you did it, but You didn't need to hide that from me, despite how I look I am a warship and know of death. But anyway, the way is mostly clear if we continue down this road. We should reach the train station soon."

As she had said we found the rest of the way to be rather easy to navigate. The large station was beginning to get underway once again, spared from attack only a few obstructions had to be removed from the rails and the trains were running once again. I had told the girls to wait on a bench while I found the next train to the capital.

I returned after spending almost all of my money on three tickets only leaving a few coins left. "Well, the good news is there is a train to London, bad news is it won't leave for a few hours and will be taking the long way round, we won't be arriving until early tomorrow morning."

"What should we do until then?" Javelin asked.

"The station has indoor areas to wait, best if we just remain there until it's time to go, I would go show you the city but there really isn't much to see and its best to conserve our energy."

So we found ourselves sitting in rather uncomfortable seats waiting for the train. After a while Hood stood up. "you two can wait here, I can practically hear Javelins stomach rumbling and I can guess you're not much better, I will return soon with food for the both of you." After saying that she walked off.

"My stomach wasn't rumbling too loud, was it?" Javelin looked embarrassed. "I wouldn't worry, she was probably hungry herself but just couldn't admit it." I lied; it had been quite audible. I wondered how she was going to get food but if she could it would be most welcome.

Javelin nudged me in the side. "So, are you going to ask her?"

"About what?"

"You said last night that one ship can't be classed as a fleet. well, she's a ship, you should ask if she would want to sail with us. I've been thinking, if we can get a few ships together then we could do convoy escorts. It's an easy way to make some money and are relatively easy to do, I used to do them all the time back when."

It made me realise that after London I really hadn't planned that far ahead maybe go up to Inverness and check the cube there, but apart from that there really wasn't much. The thought of escorting convoys with Javelin was definitely a good idea, and it would solve my current finance issues. "I will have to give it some thought, don't know how I would convince Hood though."

"I wouldn't worry about it, you're a good man who only wants the best for us, and she knows that."

After a while something outside drew Javelins attention. I looked over to see a couple Hugging each other. "You know its rude to stare right." my comment made her jump slightly.

"Sorry, they just look so happy together." They slightly broke the hug and kissed. This had the effect of making Javelins face go bright red. "She looks to be enjoying that. Are kisses really that good?"

"Well from the way he's dressed I would guess he's a dock worker, she has probably been worrying for hours about his safety."

She watched the couple as they held hands and walked away. "Have you ever done anything like that? Relationships and stuff"

"Yeah, a few times."

She turned and looked at me, I noticed her taking deep breath's a few times before building up the courage to ask. "What about now, it's there anyone waiting for you?"

"Nah, the lifestyle I live isn't the safest. The guilt of leaving somebody behind would always dig away at me, so I've never had any form of long-term stuff for a while."

"Ah." She had almost sounded happy with my reply, fortunately Hoods return had saved me from any further questions. Though I did notice an improvement in her mood.

"I wasn't able to get much, but it should suffice." in her hand was a small amount of bread and a cup of water in the other.

"How did you get that?" I asked while taking the bread, tearing it in half I gave the bigger part to javelin. Tearing it again and passing Half to Hood, I kept the smaller bit to myself.

Hood sat down opposite me before replying. "Through the use of my womanly charm." After seeing the confused look on my face, she giggled. "Don't worry yourself, there are several aid stations around handing this out, I believe our actions helping the dock warranted a small reward."

Javelin practically jumped in her seat before happily squealing. "This is food? It's so good. This taste is worth being sunk a thousand times over." she took another bite, once again becoming giddy over the taste.

"It's just bread. Try to save those reactions until we have some proper food." Although I almost had the same reaction when I took a bite, after going days without eating, even the bland taste of bread was heavenly. "What about you Hood?" I was curious for her reaction to see if she would have the same as Javelin. That way I would know if it was due to a ship having food for the first time, or it was just Javelin being Javelin.

She finished chewing the bite she took before taking a sip of water. I noticed all her mannerisms were the same you would see from upper-class ladies. "While I don't fully agree with Javelins assessment, to be gifted this body and being able to taste food is certainly something to be grateful for." She moved the cup of water over to me.

The water was also a welcome relief. "Guess being a ship all your life and then suddenly being able to eat must really be something then." It was hard to imagine the world from their view. It only added to the enigma that was their existence.

We spent a while talking about food and other things, mostly Javelin asking me about food. It continued for a while before a whistle indicating the arrival of our train.

"Right, this should take us all the way to London, hopefully the seats are comfortable. I could do with some shuteye."

"That's the boiler? Its small compared to both of mine." Javelin commented as we walked back outside. Even with her small hull she did have two Rather large boilers.

"Well, they don't need to move a Destroyer through the sea. Don't worry its more than capable. Let's just find somewhere to sit." we eventually found somewhere onboard. Javelin went for the window seat peering at the outside world.

When the train had been fully loaded the jolt of the wheels moving indicated our departure, I put my head back and allowed myself some time to relax.

I found it amusing a few hours later when despite Javelin acting the most energetically out of the three of us only to now be sound asleep with her head in my lap. Keeping quiet as to not wake her, Hood spoke. "She looks like a normal human girl right now, yet just this morning she was preforming feats that would suggest otherwise."

"You both do, minus her purple hair tough, but in this day and age the word normal really has no meaning."

Hood nodded. "You have quite the point there, but aside from that sleep is important. please rest, I will ensure no harm comes." The look on her face showed me there was no arguing the matter, after making sure Javelin wouldn't fall, I let myself begin to slip into sleep.

Early the next morning.

Another train arrived in London as dawn arrived, two figures left the train before walking into the city proper. Eventually they were standing on a bridge looking down the Thames.

"Ah, just as glorious as before don't you think?" one spoke.

"Yes, and even more so now from your return." The other replied.

"Quite right. I can feel it now, a brilliant dawn has broken on the first day of a new era. Now come, there is much to do."
