"How about this one, Ellie?" Diane asks as she holds up a black crop top to Elizabeth's chest.
The silverette lightly chuckles as she grabs the clothing. "I'll be fine with whatever you think, Diane," she kindly says. Diane smiles brightly as she turns around and walks back into the clothing store, leaving Elizabeth in the changing room.
It's probably around nearly one in the afternoon, and Meliodas had sent Diane with Elizabeth to buy Elizabeth some more clothing. Despite Elizabeth saying that she could just drive to her apartment and grab some of her clothing there, Meliodas insisted the brunette accompany the silverette to any clothing store they wished.
Elizabeth couldn't help but be a bit confused though. Why even make the women go through the effort of purchasing new clothes for Elizabeth when she had plenty at her own home?
Maybe this was just a way of getting the two women to hang out and get to know each other.
So far, Diane had picked out a thin long-sleeved t-shirt, a short sleeved shirt, a few pairs of rather short shorts, and a single pair of tight jeans. The silverette doesn't mind shopping with Diane; the complete opposite, actually. She likes spending time with the brunette even if she did meet her just yesterday. Diane has shown her nothing but kindness, and it's really refreshing.
A shaky exhale leaves Elizabeth's lips. How much money are these clothes going to cost?
The brunette comes back with two skirts, and thankfully they aren't as short as the skirt for her bar uniform. But in all seriousness, what in the world was Meliodas thinking? Is he just really that much of a pervert that he's making both her and Diane wear such revealing clothing? Does... Does Meliodas think of Diane that way?
Even if he does, it's none of Elizabeth's business...
But, something deep inside Elizabeth can't help but think about it. Moreover, why does it bother her so much? The silverette barely knows the guy; she shouldn't feel so attached to him already. After all, Elizabeth doubts Meliodas even likes her already.
She's nothing more than just extra and useless baggage...
At some point, the brunette and the silverette leave the clothing store with two bags full of clothes for Elizabeth. They walk around town (though, Elizabeth would have preferred driving, but Diane insisted they walk. She had said something along the lines of "can't have people tailing us back to the bar") and they talk about random things.
"When I first met King, he was really nice and stuff y'know," Diane says as they walk. "After a week or two, he started like stuttering on his words and blush a lot around me. It's kinda cute, I'll admit." Elizabeth lightly chuckles.
"It sounds like he has a crush on you," Elizabeth responds and Diane blushes.
"N-No, that can't be true!"
Elizabeth only laughs a bit harder. Diane likes King, too. The brunette pouts at the other woman. "Okay, well what about you?"
"Huh?" She quirks her eyebrows together as her ocean eyes meet Diane's purple. "What about me?" Diane smiles bright as she takes Elizabeth's free hand and tears their gaze to look in front of them.
"Boss. You like him, right?" What? Was Diane out of her mind? How could Elizabeth develop such feelings for Meliodas only after three days of knowing him? And even if she did, there's still that whole mysterious side to him! The blonde could keep secrets from her with no problem!
Not to mention the trust issues Elizabeth has. She really only trusts Gil, her sisters, and Arthur. And, well, Diane too, she supposes.
"No, of course not!" Elizabeth denies. "I-I can't. I've only known him for three days, and regardless... I have a hard time trusting people," she admits, holding her head low. The silver haired woman hears Diane laugh. Elizabeth looks up, but Diane is still looking forward.
"You seem to be able to trust me just fine," Diane points out.
Elizabeth's lips twitch into a small grin. "I mean, yeah," she agrees. "You don't seem like the type of person to hurt me in any way. Plus, you remind me of my sisters."
The brunette doesn't respond for a moment, concentrated on their walking. "I don't have any siblings," Diane quietly voices. "What's it like?"
"Oh," the silver haired woman softly exhales. "It's nice if you get along with them well. They look after you like they're your best friends. I love my sisters more than words can express. I haven't really been able to spend much time with them ever since my father became president though."
They finally stop at a bench on the sidewalk by what seems to be a nice restaurant, a book store, and a barbershop. Diane sits down, and looks at Elizabeth patiently. Elizabeth sits down next to the brunette and places her bags of clothes on her lap. "It must be nice," Diane starts, "having sisters that care about you like that."
Elizabeth smiles as her cerulean eyes dart to the upcoming cars and motorcyclists as they drive by. "It is. Sometimes they can be really overprotective, though. But at the same time, if they weren't, I don't think I'd be who I am today," the silver haired woman explains. Diane doesn't respond. The two women take a few moments to listen to the roars of the car engines and the distinct footsteps of the people walking by.
It's nice, Elizabeth thinks; having another woman to talk to about anything. Well, besides her sisters of course.
Needless to say, there's also Gilthunder's friends that Elizabeth gets along with pretty well. There's Howzer and Griamore; two of Gil's best friends. Howzer has always been energetic and reckless ever since they were kids. Though, now Howzer isn't really like that anymore. The dark blonde had decided to become a cop and serve justice for those who need it most.
Griamore, on the other hand, is invariably by Veronica's side. He's not as careless as Howzer, but he can have his moments. What he does as a job, Elizabeth doesn't know. And for what Veronica sees in the man, she doesn't know either.
She'd always get into trouble with them, whether it was on accident or not. It was constant scolding from either her own father or Griamore's father. Elizabeth will admit, it has been quite some time since she's seen both Howzer and Griamore, and maybe it'll be nice to see them again soon enough.
As they all got older, the more a gap grew between them. Elizabeth had managed to maintain her friendship with Gilthunder, in which she's thankful for. Of course, she has to be careful with what she tells him; he tells Margaret everything. It's how Margaret found out Elizabeth had been dating in high school. Regardless, she still loves Gil and cherishes her friendship with him.
"Hey, Elizabeth?" Diane eventually says, breaking the silver haired woman's train of thought. Elizabeth looks over to Diane and hums, cocking her head to the side, causing her hair to fall from her shoulder. "I know you barely know me - hell, you barely know any of us," Diane chuckles, "but I just want you to know that if anything bothers you, you can always come to me, okay?"
Elizabeth's orbs widen slightly, Diane's purple showing nothing but kindness. Soon, her surprised expression softens, a smile replacing her parted lips. "Then, it's likewise," the silverette beams.
The brunette smiles brightly. She then stands up from the bench and holds out a hand to the other woman. "Well, c'mon Ellie. You've got somewhere to be with boss in less than six hours." Elizabeth grabs her bags with her left hand and grabs Diane's hand with her other.
"Right!"
The pair walk around for a few minutes before Diane drags her into yet another clothing store. Immediately, Elizabeth is amazed. This isn't like the previous clothing store they were at. Multiple dresses hugged mannequins, most of the dresses being nearly floor length. The brunette continues to drag her along, but Elizabeth can't help but stare at the dresses.
They all look so graceful and beautiful!
But... Why is Diane dragging her into a place like this? "Um, Diane?" Elizabeth voices as she removes her gaze from the dresses and pays attention to the woman holding her hand who looks over her shoulder to look at Elizabeth in the eyes. "What are we doing here?"
Diane stops moving as her amethyst orbs take in the sight of a navy blue cocktail dress. "Oh," she says, her purple eyes still on the dress and she releases Elizabeth's hand. "I don't know, to be honest. I don't really get to go shopping with many people besides King," she posits, "but sometimes he won't even enter the store with me. So, it's nice to actually go shopping with someone," Diane finishes with a smile.
The silverette can't help but smile back.
"Do you think this would look good on you?" Diane asks, pointing at the navy dress in front of the two women. Elizabeth looks at the dress, and it's probably one of the most prettiest she's ever seen. But how is she to determine if it would look good on her? To be frank, it wouldn't even matter what she ends up wearing. It doesn't stop random guys from coming up to her in horrid attempts in trying to convince her to come home with them.
Would the catcalling stop? Probably not, unfortunately. But that's just life, right? Nothing but pure heartbreak and disappointment, no matter how good your life is. It's sad, really. The world could be such a great place if people would just be better.
"I don't know," Elizabeth simply replies.
Diane's eyes find Elizabeth's. "I bet you can make anything look good," she says.
The silverette can't help but grin bashfully. "No, I couldn't!"
"I think your friend is quite right, dear," a store employee says. Both women fixate their gazes to the woman. She has short white hair, her eyes a warm cobalt, and the smallest uptake of her lips. "With beauty like yours, I'm sure you'd have half the population on their knees just with your looks."
"See?" Diane playfully, yet softly, punches Elizabeth on the shoulder. "Even the store employee agrees!"
"So, have you ladies come to buy a dress?" The lady asks.
Diane looks at the woman and grins. "No, we're just looking." The lady smiles then nods before walking away. Elizabeth looks around, taking in the sight of multiple different colored dresses. None of them seem to defeat the radiance of the cocktail dress, though.
They only stay in the store for a few more minutes before Diane says it's time to go. It's probably around three in the afternoon at this point, and somehow, Elizabeth doesn't feel tired in the slightest.
Elizabeth can't help but wonder... Meliodas hadn't been at the bar when she woke up. Was he doing something important? It's no wonder he left both Elizabeth and Diane similar text messages this morning. Does Meliodas always leave the bar before any of the Sins wake up? What is he even doing?
...But Elizabeth supposes it's none of her business. Why is she even curious in the first place? This is the leader of the Seven Deadly Sins; he could be brutally torturing an innocent right now for all she knows. Hell, he could be committing mass genocide. If either were the case though, there's no way the blonde wouldn't be recognized in public.
Maybe Elizabeth is just overthinking it.
Overthinking is a bad habit of hers, no matter how many times she tries to overcome it. Having doubts, too. Nonetheless, there's probably not a single person who doesn't overthink or have doubts.
Despite these bad habits, Elizabeth still has people that care about her more than she cares about herself.
They're irreplaceable.

Back at the bar, and Meliodas still hasn't returned. Elizabeth sighs as she walks to her room to put the bags of clothing Diane bought her on her vanity. She opens the door and closes it behind her. Her cerulean eyes scan her room and she notices some clothes on her bed. Elizabeth walks over to the bed and sets down her bags.
On her bed, there's a dark and thin spaghetti strap tank-top with matching leggings and black high heels. Next to the items, there's a note. Elizabeth takes the note into her hand and the hand writing seems somewhat familiar to her.
Afternoon, Princess, - It's Meliodas, no doubt. No one calls her Princess but him.
These clothes are for later tonight. Make sure you eat some food and drink water. Can't have you passing out on the job. :)
I'll be back before we have to leave, okay Princess?
- Meliodas
Next to his name, there's a tiny heart and it makes Elizabeth blush a bright pink. Setting down the note on her vanity, she takes a look at her clothes. What does she need such dark clothing for?
Despite having so many questions as to why Meliodas wants her to wear theses clothes, she takes them into her hands.
Elizabeth walks over to the other door in her room, and her hunch from yesterday was correct. There's a bathroom on the other side of the door, and it looks better than the bathroom she has in her own apartment. The floor has white, pristine pearlescent tiles, and the walls seemed smooth and coated with a similar white paint color to the tiles.
She sets down the clothes on the bathroom counter by the sink and begins stripping herself of her current clothes. Elizabeth enters the shower with a sigh as she turns on the shower head. The water is cold at first, but soon enough it warms up and a contented sigh leaves her lips.
Her silver hair cascades around her back as she looks up and closes her eyes. The only sound that fills her ears is the sound of the water hitting the shower floor.
This bathroom looks a lot like the one Elizabeth is so used to seeing, in her own apartment, but it feels... different. Not because it's in a different location, but because she's now living with multiple people she doesn't know. It's not bad - not at all - just the fact that Elizabeth will have to get to know these people. Shouldn't be too hard, right?
She'll only have to get along with them, and hopefully, with whatever bullshit Meliodas has planned for them won't involve her needing to put major trust into the other Sins. Diane is probably the only Sins she can trust with anything in a heartbeat.
But there's also that weird form of trust Elizabeth has in Meliodas that she still can't explain... Blind trust, perhaps? Yeah, that has to be it. There's nothing else that would drive her to even want to rely on him. And how could she? He touches her without her say-so, he frustrates her to no end with all that cockiness and arrogance, and overall, that bewildering persona of his... How can she get to know him if most of the things he's told her have been secretive?

After her shower, Elizabeth dries her wet silver hair and dresses herself in the clothing Meliodas left her. She sits at her vanity and plays with her earring. The blue hue to the earring reminds her of her own bright aqua eyes.
Her eyes dart from her earring to her reflection in the mirror. Her long hair is still slightly wet, the shirt Meliodas wanted her to wear hugs her chest a bit too tightly, and her blue eyes holding an emotion she can't identify for some reason.
Soon enough, Elizabeth tears her gaze from her earring and stands up. With unhurried steps, she leaves her room and goes into the bar. Her eyes immediately scan the room and she sees nobody but King, and he's sitting by the bar, scrolling through his phone. Elizabeth tries to be as quiet as she can, but the clicking of her heels already gave her away.
King whips his head to look at Elizabeth and offers her a small smile before turning back to his phone.
Elizabeth decides to slide into the seat next to him. "Where's Diane and Meliodas?" She asks the auburn haired man. He hums, his golden eyes focused on the screen.
"Not sure. Boss hasn't come back yet and Diane probably went to buy some ingredients since Ban won't do it," King answers.
"Is Ban lazy?"
King softly laughs. "You humor me, Elizabeth," he avows. "In a way, I guess. Ban's just a drunk. Always has been since I met him." Elizabeth fidgets with her thumbs on the counter of the bar, her blue eyes focused on them.
"It sounds like you've known him for a while, King," the silverette comments. King sets his phone down, and it catches her attention.
"A while is an understatement. I've known him and Boss for far longer than any of the other Sins," he says matter-of-factually.
So, he's known them for a long time... Diane said she's been with the Sins for a bit over five years. King's been here before that? She wants to ask - her curiosity will be the death of her one day - but it's none of her business. If he wants to tell her, he'll tell her.
Simple as that, right?
His golden eyes meet her ocean blue, and the auburn haired man seems... sad, almost. King offers her another small smile, and Elizabeth smiles back. "It must be weird," Elizabeth starts, her gaze moving back to her thumbs, "having a random person just start living with you and your friends."
"What? No," King denies. "You're the president's daughter, you deserve to be treated like royalty!"
The silver haired woman frowns as her orbs meet King's once more. "I know who I am, but... it's not a friendly reminder," she vocalizes her worries. "I can't help but feel like a- a disappointment to my father. He wants nothing more than for me to work in office, but I just can't. It's not what I wanna do. But it pisses me off; he just doesn't care about what I want anymore!"
It goes silent for a few moments and Elizabeth feels tears prick corners of her eyes. She's trying her best not to cry in front of King.
"I thought your dad was really nice," King whispers and his eyes dart across the bar. Is he uncomfortable with direct eye contact?
Elizabeth holds her head low as she stares at the material of her pants. "He was," she agrees. "Ever since he became president, he's been less... concerned with how me and my sisters are doing. He doesn't even treat us like we're human - or even his own daughters at that," the silverette softly explains.
The auburn haired man hums, his eyes focused on a bottle of wine. "What are your sisters like?" He asks, likely trying to change the topic and she's appreciative.
Elizabeth doesn't think she'll be able to talk about her father without breaking down eternally. "They're really nice and kind. They always look out for me, especially Veronica. She's really overprotective, and I won't lie; it can be annoying at times but," she pauses for a short moment, "I don't know who I would be today without her. Or any of my friends and family for that matter."
"That kind of reminds me of my little sister," King adds, his eyes meeting hers, his golden orbs holding a kind feel to them. "She's overly ambitious, she always puts others before herself, too. I guess, in a way," he gestures with his hands, "she makes me a better person."
Elizabeth's eyes dart around his features. His lips harbor a small smile, his eyes seem kind, his face retaining a small pink hue to it. She smiles kindly. "What's her name?" Elizabeth asks.
"Elaine," King responds. "She would love you."
Her ocean blue eyes widen a fraction. "What, me? No!"
King chuckles humbly. "Really, she would. You seem really kind, just like she is. Elaine loves Diane; I don't see why she wouldn't like you as well if you can get along with Diane." The silverette's lips twitch into a smile. His sister sounds like a treasure! Maybe Elizabeth will get to meet her one day...
"There's really only one problem I have with her, though," King continues as she puts a hand to his chin. Elizabeth looks at him and hums and cocks her head to the side in confusion. Every sibling has some problem with each other. It couldn't be that bad, could it? "She's dating Ban - of all people," the auburn haired man answers her question, as if he could read her thoughts.
"Oh," Elizabeth exhales. "Is it really that bad?"
King gapes at her, his golden eyes wide. Had she said something wrong? Why is he looking at her like that? Elizabeth sinks a bit in her seat, her anxiety telling her to leave, to try and change the topic, something.
"Do you know what Ban's title is?" King asks.
Title...? What is he talking about?
Elizabeth shakes her head. "We're the Sins, you are aware, are you not, Elizabeth?" King observes her movements, the way her eyes dart from his face to the wall behind him and the way she fidgets with her fingers. The silver haired woman nods. "We all bear a title with our sins. I'm the Grizzly Sin of Sloth. Ban is the Fox Sin of Greed. Diane's the Serpent Sin of Envy. And Meliodas..." he pauses, continuing to observe Elizabeth. "He's the Dragon Sin of Wrath."
The blood coursing through her veins runs cold. She knew Meliodas was the leader of the Sins, but... Dragon Sin of Wrath? He really isn't a force to be reckoned with. Her ocean eyes are wide, the emotion in them drained like the color of her supple skin.
"Elizabeth?" King asks, putting a hand on her shoulder. Elizabeth gasps, though it's barely audible. "Are you alright? I didn't mean to frighten you. You look really pale all of a sudden."
The woman frantically shakes her hands. "N-No, I... It's fine, it's just... news to me, I suppose," she says with a smile. King removes his hand from her shoulder and shrugs.
"Anyway," King continues, "Ban's sin fits him perfectly. He's nothing more than a greedy man. He doesn't care about anyone else but himself. I don't understand why Elaine would want to date... that," he waves his hand and leans his elbow on the counter of the bar.
Is Ban really as bad as King makes him out to be? Ban doesn't seem like the type of person to be the way King describes. Looks can be deceiving, Elizabeth supposes. The same thing could be said about her, really. Most people would describe her as nothing but a pretty face and 'perfect body', but she's more than that. She's a human being, nothing more, nothing less.
It's disgusting, how people can just want to deflower a woman and then discard her like she's an old toy you don't want to play with anymore.
Softly exhaling through her nose, she takes King's hands into hers. "I know he may seem like an inconsiderate guy, but... have faith in him," Elizabeth tells King, and his golden eyes go wide as her own aqua pierce his. "Hell, I haven't even spoken a word to Ban, but I can't help it. I felt this weird sensation when I looked at him earlier, and I couldn't see anything but a generous man."
King's hands squeezes hers then he holds his head low and he closes his eyes. "Maybe you're right," he whispers. "Ban and I got off on the wrong foot when we first met, and I guess I never really tried to connect with the guy. My opinion of him only got worse because he started dating my sister," King voices. He lifts his head back up and opens his yellowish eyes, their gazes immediately locking.
"But at the same time," he continues, "all he does is tease me and then say something vulgar about Elaine. It's vexing... and gross." Elizabeth softly laughs, and King raises an eyebrow at her. She only laughs a bit harder at King's reaction. "What's so funny?"
"Oh," she exhales again. "It's nothing. It's just you remind me a bit of my friend. He's like an older brother to me, if anything," she says. "He's always worrying about me. It's probably why I haven't dated anyone in the past three years... But it doesn't stop him from worrying, though," Elizabeth ends with a chuckle. King smiles, his eyes closing.
"I guess I'm like that, too. I'm just looking out for her, you know?"
Elizabeth hums. "Yeah, but just don't go too overboard. I hated it when Gil wouldn't stop pestering me about my whole boyfriend situations. I still do."
Suddenly, King lets go of her hands and pulls her into an embrace. Elizabeth gasps, her blue eyes going wide. King pulls back, his eyes just as wide as hers. "I am so sorry!" The auburn haired man apologizes. "I-I-I don't know what came over me!" The silver haired woman closes her eyes and gives King a large smile before returning his embrace.
She leans over to him and pulls him into her arms. He stills for a moment, but then he wraps his arms around her. King leans his head on her shoulder, and it's silent for a few minutes.
It's... kind of nice, Elizabeth will admit.
"Well, well, well," a familiar voice says. "What do we have here?" Elizabeth squeaks as she pushes King away from her. She glances at King and give him an apologetic smile before turning to the voice behind her.
That mop of blonde hair she's getting so used to seeing is as messy as she's known it being, his emerald green eyes boar into her cerulean ones, his black button-up shirt has two or three buttons unbuttoned, his hands shoved into his equally black pants. "Already trying to seduce one of my friends, Princess?"
Elizabeth blushes as her eyes go wide.
"Boss!" King says from next to her.
"No, of course not!" Elizabeth nearly screams. "What kind of woman do you take me for?!" Meliodas chuckles as he walks to Elizabeth. He takes her hand and help her stand up. His viridescent orbs pierce her own ocean blue, but they hold nothing but a cocky feel to them. As always.
The contact between his hand and hers feels... warm. It feels nice, no matter how much she wants to deny it.
"You're the type of woman to care about people you've never met; like Diane and King. You're also the type of woman that no matter what you put your mind to, you're determined to fix it, or help, or do whatever it is you need to do that makes those happy around you," Meliodas answers her question. Elizabeth's eyes widen, her lips part in disbelief, her cheeks feel like they're on fire and she just stares at him.
Does he really mean those words...?
The silverette hears King get up and leave the room (likely from this insanely awkward conversation), but Elizabeth can't seem to tear her eyes from Meliodas's. Why can't she just avert his gaze? Why does she feel so hot all over? What is this weird tingly feeling in her lower belly?
What is he doing to her?
...But then the moment is absolutely ruined when Meliodas gives her a sly smirk, his eyes holding nothing but mischief. She scowls at the blonde and pulls her hand from his. He chuckles, the sound of his laugh filling her ears, and Elizabeth can't tell if she wants to smack him or... well, smack him.
"Are we leaving?" Elizabeth asks dryly as she moves past him, the clicking noises of her heels filling the room.
"Yes," Meliodas answers quickly, "the car's outside."
Without another word coming from Elizabeth or Meliodas's mouth, Elizabeth walks throughout the bar, Meliodas following close behind. Soon enough, they're outside, standing by Meliodas's car. The blonde takes out his car keys to unlock the car doors.
She wastes no time in getting into the passenger's side of the car, crossing her arms as she sits rather comfortably in the car. Meliodas sits beside her, putting his keys into the ignition. He starts driving the car, and Elizabeth doesn't bat him an eye.
Why does this car feel somewhat familiar?
Elizabeth stares out of the window, her reflection only showing how aggravated she seems. Her thin brows are furrowed together, her lips forming a small frown, and her face is still pink from a bit earlier. The car rolls to a stop, and through the reflection of the glass, Elizabeth sees Meliodas spare her a look. His green eyes unreadable as they've always been, his brows slightly furrowed like hers.
"What are you so upset about, Princess?" He asks. Elizabeth tears her eyes from the glass to look at Meliodas in the eyes. Her ocean eyes are probably just as bright as Meliodas's green from the bright streetlights lighting up the dark roads in the night.
"You," Elizabeth answers his question. "You tell me something sweet and then you destroy that moment by giving me a cocky grin or smile. It's so annoying - do you not realize that?!" She practically yells at the blonde. "It's always when I think I can start trusting you; you make me think you're capable of gaining my trust and then you do something to just drive me away from you!"
Elizabeth sinks into the seat as she realizes what she'd just done.
She yelled. At the Boss of the Deadly Sins.
Meliodas merely smiles at her. Though, his entire expression is just as obscure as it always is. "Sorry, Princess. Just a force of habit, I guess," he says, turning his eyes back to the road and continues to drive. Elizabeth gapes at him. Is he just not going to do anything? She just yelled at him and he's doing absolutely nothing about it.
Why?
"Are you just going to let this go?" Elizabeth finds herself asking. Meliodas hums, not exactly understanding what Elizabeth is saying. Or maybe it's just Elizabeth thinking that way.
"I yelled at you, and you shrugged it off like it was nothing. Are you not going to do anything about it?"
Meliodas shrugs, his rich molten green eyes focused on the road. "Nah," he decides, and Elizabeth is nothing but confused. "I get how you feel. I know I'm not easy; why do you think not all the Sins are at the bar?"
He does have a point... Only three of the Sins actually stay at the bar, excluding Meliodas. Who and where are the other three?
"And besides," he adds. "You'd just hate me more if I did anything to you." Hate him...? Hate is a strong word. She doesn't necessarily hate him, but she also doesn't exactly like him either.
Elizabeth decides to stay quiet for the time being. Why does he show her so much kindness? Regardless of all the cockiness, groping and lewd jokes, he's shown her nothing but kindness. He'd protected her from an insanely creepy guy, he'd bought her coffee, and he's even providing her with a place to stay while she helps him do... whatever it is he needs her to do.
The same questions continues to pop into her head, though.
Why her? Why not anyone else? Are the seven of them not enough? What does he even plan to do?
Nevertheless, if she's a burden to him, he doesn't show it. For nearly her entire life, she's felt like nothing more than a burden to those around her. Even her sisters had to save her from dire situations before.
So, why can't she just help others for once? Why is she the way that she is? Why isn't she capable of helping those important to her? Elizabeth looks over to Meliodas, tears welling up in her eyes.
Please, she says eternally. Please tell me I can be useful. Please tell me I'm not a burden.
