Elizabeth and Meliodas return to the bar at nearly nine at night. The event Arthur planned wasn't exactly the greatest. Most people seemed bored, and it would have stayed that way had they not been given the gift of alcohol. Either way though, Elizabeth enjoyed her time there (and she won't admit it's because a certain blonde was with her the entire time).
Meliodas holds her hand as they walk into the busy bar. The first thing the silverette's eyes takes in is Diane turned so her back faces the pair, her brown hair swaying with her movements as she shakes her head no at a customer. The corners of Elizabeth's lips slightly turn down at the sight. Diane was the only one waitressing tonight so far. She doubts Meliodas would let her help the brunette seeing as how late it already is, but Elizabeth can't help herself. She knows Diane can handle it - better than she can - and maybe it's just the kindness in her that wants to help her friend so badly. But even so, Diane has probably been working her ass off for the entire night while she and Meliodas had gone out to just stand around and converse with random people at another bar.
Ironic, isn't it?
"Hey, are you okay, Princess?" The blonde asks her, breaking her train of thought. Elizabeth's blue eyes finds his emeralds staring back at her, and she only now registers the firm hold on his hands on either side of her waist. She tries to give a smile, but the corners of her lips barely turn up.
Her hands come up to rest on his shoulders, "I just feel bad that Diane's working by herself. She must be exhausted." She then darts her eyes from Meliodas to Diane - who still has her back turned to them - and Meliodas also turns his head. But then he gives her a squeeze to get her attention.
"She'll be fine, Elizabeth," the blonde reassures once her ocean gaze returns to his grassy green. "This isn't the first time she's had to work more than three hours in a row while I wasn't here."
Elizabeth's lips tug into a small smile. Of course, Diane is fine! She really worries for nothing... "You're right. I'm just overreacting," she tilts and lowers her head so it rests on the blonde's, his messy golden locks ticking her cheeks.
"It's okay," he mumbles into her shoulder. The silverette can feel his lips move against the material of her dress. "Diane worries about you just as much; it's mutual. It's alright-"
"Oh Meliodas!" A voice Elizabeth has heard before sings out to the blonde holding her, cutting him off. "Where have you been...?" She then trails off. Elizabeth stops nuzzling Meliodas's hair and lifts her head to look at the woman calling for Meliodas. Instantaneously, the silver haired woman's blue orbs lock with dark greens, the woman's eyebrows sulcating. She feels Meliodas turn his head against her. "Have you been out with her this entire time?" The woman asks, her fingers intertwining in her dark hair. Why does this woman seem so familiar to her?
Wait... This is the woman that spoke to her while she had been waiting for Meliodas on the steps near the building he'd told her to wait by!
Though, now, the woman wears such skimpy clothing. It barely covers the bare minimum. Elizabeth wonders if she'll need to bleach her eyeballs soon...
"Zaneri, what I do with other people is none of your business." Meliodas's voice sounds serious, yet contained like he might lash out. But the way he speaks to her... Had she done this before?
Zaneri looks Elizabeth up and down, until her dark green eyes finally meet her aqua once again. "Wait, this is the president's daughter, isn't it?" She states the obvious, her voice breaking near the end of her sentence. "Are you going out with her and probably fucking her for publicity? Is this who-"
"No." Meliodas says, his grip on her hips tightening. "Don't talk about Elizabeth like that, especially when she's standing right here."
"Why?" The other woman questions further. "She's so - so imperfect! Can't you see how much I love you?"
Something terrible fills the silverette's veins as she spares Meliodas a glance. His upper lip seems to be turned up into a snarl, one of his brows quirking up. Yet, regardless of the way Meliodas visually reacts to the hurtful words Zaneri says, she lets her words get the better of her. Without even thinking, Elizabeth breaks free from the blonde's grip on her, and pushes past the door and into the hallway where the Sins' bedrooms are held.
She kicks off her heels, her feet aching so, and discards them in the middle of the corridor. Elizabeth doesn't head for her room, but instead heads for the small garden beyond the door at the end of the hallway.
The night air hits the exposed skin of her arms and legs as her bare feet step onto the cold floor of the garden. It feels like her body is moving on its own, and before she even knows it, she's sitting on the bench where she had comforted Diane (or attempted to, at least) when she had gotten upset with Ban for teasing King.
Faint tears fill her eyes as the woman's words echo in her mind. She's so imperfect. Elizabeth snickers sadly at her next thought. Does Zaneri just enjoy stating the fucking obvious? Elizabeth knows she isn't perfect. She's nowhere near "perfect".
And besides, she practically confessed her love to him in front of all his customers and friends. And if Meliodas feels the same? Elizabeth doesn't want to get in the way of that, regardless of her own feelings. Sure, she may feel something along the lines of love for the blonde she met at Arthur's bar, but she's clearly known Meliodas for longer than Elizabeth's known him. She smiles sadly at the thought, her eyes watering further as she thinks about the blonde, but she tries to blink them out of her eyes.
Whatever she may feel for Meliodas is something she'll simply just keep hidden deep in her heart. There's no way the feeling is mutual between the two, right?
A hand is suddenly on hers, and she only notices now that her fingers were gripping the stone bench tightly. Elizabeth turns her head to the side only to see those gorgeous emerald eyes looking longingly into Elizabeth's ocean blues. Meliodas smiles sweetly at her, her heart aching at the sight, but she smiles back. He brings his free hand up to her face and wipes a stray tear off her reddening cheeks.
"Don't listen to her, okay? She didn't mean what she said," he says softly. Elizabeth blinks once, then twice, then looks down at the hand atop hers.
Her fingers twitch under the touch of his hand, "What she said is true. I'm nowhere near perfect."
"You're perfect in my eyes," he whispers, Elizabeth's eyes widening as she looks at him in the eyes. "You're gorgeous, you're kind, you're so lovable, and I could go on and on for the entire night about what makes you so perfect, Elizabeth, okay? Zaneri doesn't know what she's on about, and I wouldn't ever feel the same about her."
"But she loves you and-"
"And it's one-sided." His voice cuts her off, and her eyes slightly widen at the change of his tone. He had gone from softly spoken to serious in a matter of seconds. Her cheeks only redden all that much more when she realizes his hand never retreated back to his side, but remains on her cheek. "It always has been one-sided, Elizabeth. Ever since she stumbled into my bar a few years ago to drink the night away and her eyes landed on the back of my damn head; it's been one-sided," the blonde tells her. Elizabeth's aqua eyes soften as they dart from his rich molten eyes to his lips. His lips hold a small and pleasant smile.
"And besides, I already have my eyes on another woman," Meliodas squeezes her hand with a growing and confident smirk. Elizabeth hums as she notices his eyes glance down to her soft parted lips and back up to her bright cerulean hues.
"Mmm, and who would that be?" She questions, her confidence growing as she slides her free hand up his arm to rest on his shoulder. The blonde's smirk widens as his eyelids droop a bit. A soft exhale through his nose tickles the cheek opposite of the hand holding the other as his face inches closer to hers.
"Hm, well, she's amazing, really. She's capable of doing things other people can't."
"Like what?" She asks, her own eyes darting from his viridescent eyes to his lips and back.
"Like making my heart skip a beat every time I look at her. She's the last thing I think about before I fall asleep and I end up dreaming about her. She brightens my world every time she walks into the same room as me. And do you know the best part about all of it?" He smiles lovingly and gently at her as she tilts her head to the side slightly, urging him to continue.
"That woman is you, Elizabeth," he whispers.
Meliodas leans in before she can move her own body, the hand once holding her cheek now cradles her head, his hand digging into her hair, the ball of his palm barely touching her ear. His soft, warm lips collide with hers in a sweet harmony, and it feels like fireworks erupted in all parts of her body. The way his lips move against hers makes Elizabeth question if anything is as surreal as this.
Elizabeth moves both her arms to wrap around his neck, whilst his own wrap around her waist as she practically climbs into his lap. She's never felt her heart beat this fast before; it feels like it'll practically jump right out of her chest.
One of his hands rests on the small of her back, jolting a feeling of pleasure throughout her entire body. He nips her bottom lip, asking for entry and she parts her lips against his almost hesitantly but does it anyway. His tongue invades her mouth and she can't help but give a low moan. She feels him smirk into the kiss against her lips, her cheeks growing unbearably hot, so she tugs at the hairs at the back of his neck and gives it a tug. It was then her turn to smirk when he groaned into her mouth.
His tongue wrestles with hers for dominance. His hands move from the back of her head and the small of her back in favor of groping her ass, causing her to moan and thus losing the battle for dominance. Elizabeth feels his tongue explore her mouth like she's a treacherous cavern ready to be explored by the most experienced spelunker.
Not before long, they separate, both panting for air. Her eyes slowly open, not realizing she had even closed them to begin with. When they slide open though, all she sees is Meliodas' beautiful green hues staring back at her, eyes lidded with nothing but love. She also only realizes now that she's straddling him, but rather than her cheeks blazing more than they already are, a jolt of need pulses through her, right into her core. She almost whines at how bad she wants him.
"You can't be real," she whispers as she gazes into her eyes. He smiles cheekily at her.
"Would be a real shame if I wasn't real," Meliodas says, "holding you in my arms and worshiping you like the goddess you are is the best and only thing I want to do in my life." Now her cheeks redden further at his words. "You know," Meliodas says, his hands softly and slowly moving up and down her back, tickling the skin underneath her thin dress, "the things Zaneri wishes I would do to her, I would only do to you."
The silverette finds herself smiling at his confession. Her hands slide from the back of his neck and back to his shoulders as she gives him a sultry look. "What things?"
Instead of telling her right away, he shows her. Meliodas leans into her, his lips brushing against the lobe of her ear. Elizabeth shivers at the contact, her fingers digging into his clothed shoulders. His lips trail down from her ear lobe to nip at her jaw, her breath getting caught in her throat.
"I wouldn't ever hold Zaneri the way I hold you," he says against her supple skin. "Wouldn't even touch her the way I touch you," the blonde squeezes her rear almost teasingly, but a silent whimper leaves her parted lips nonetheless. Then, he kisses her swollen lips slow and fervently before he parts, his emerald orbs looking longingly into her soft blue eyes, "and I wouldn't ever imagine kissing her the way I kiss you like you're the air I need to breathe."
Elizabeth doesn't even fight the smile that tugs at her lips. She brings both her hands to cup his cheeks, her eyes rounding softly as he leans into her touch. She leans down to press her lips against his, the chaste sounds their lips make gives her butterflies in her stomach. When she pulls away, she doesn't pull away fully; her nose brushes against the tip of his, a warm chuckle rumbling from his chest as they keep their eyes locked on one another.
"You make me feel like I'm the only woman in the world," Elizabeth whispers, her breath hitting his upper lip. "You give me butterflies every time you smile at me, my body heats up just thinking about you. No one's ever made me feel this way," she admits, her breath getting caught in her throat once again as she presses her lips to his once more, this time more frantic and hungry, and she doesn't know what she's searching for, but she's damn well searching for something.
Meliodas responds immediately, his tongue working its magic as she sighs into the messy and heated kiss.
Though, before things could escalate any further than it already has, a loud cough interrupts the silence in the garden. Elizabeth's eyes shoot open, as does the blonde's, the two completely freezing. The silverette slowly slides of his lap, detangling herself from his person, and her aqua orbs finally meet a pair of crimson red. If Elizabeth couldn't reach a brighter and deeper shade of red before, she certainly has now. "Well damn, Princess, Boss," Ban teases the two. "Seems like you two were getting busy back here!"
"Okay, don't be gross Ban," Meliodas says, sneaking a hand to intertwine his fingers with hers.
"Uh huh, don't act like I can't see you two holding hands. And start coming back in. It's closing time," the white haired male says, his eyes still fixated on hers for a few more seconds.
Elizabeth turns her head as she watches Ban leave, her eyes locking simultaneously with the blonde still holding her hand. He gives her an easy smile that makes her heart melt. He stands up and tugs her along with him, the cold stones meeting her bare feet once more. Meliodas whips his head around to look at the silverette when she shivers from the cold hitting her exposed skin. She then giggles when Meliodas scoops her up in his arms, easily carrying her in a bridal hold.
Her arms wrap loosely around his neck as she nuzzles her cheek against his before she presses a warm and lingering kiss to his cheek.
{-}
It was nearly noon, but Diane, King and Ban had left earlier in the morning to restock on both alcohol and ingredients for the food. So, typically, it's only Elizabeth and Meliodas in the bar currently.
At the moment, the silverette wipes down the tables of the bar (since she doesn't want Diane to overwork herself), the silence filling the room as she works. Meliodas still hasn't woken up and Elizabeth wouldn't blame him. They had gone to bed late, and it's almost worrisome the little amount of sleep she had gotten. Nonetheless though, she feels energetic and ecstatic.
As she lifts the rag from the table she was just cleaning, Elizabeth sighs as she leans her head back, closing her eyes all the while, her silver hair cascading down her back. Then, arms wrap around her waist, causing her to gasp, but she relaxes when she hears an all too familiar chuckle fill her ears.
"How did you sleep?" Elizabeth asks softly as she leans into his touch.
"Mm, I slept decently. How about you, Princess?" Meliodas answers, resting his head on her shoulder before pressing a kiss to the nape of her neck. The silver haired woman sighs contentedly as she releases the rag from her hold, hearing the soft thud as it hits the table.
"I slept alright. I didn't get much sleep though."
Meliodas turns her around, causing her to giggle. He rests his chin on the top of her bosom, his eyes looking deeply into hers. He grins sheepishly at her, making the silver haired woman smile warmly at him. His hands rest at the small of her back while her own wrap around his neck. Elizabeth almost laughs when the blonde moves from her chest to nuzzle his face into the side of her neck.
"Sleep is very important, Princess," the blonde purrs, pressing a warm kiss to the junction where shoulder meets neck, "what kept you up, hm?"
The silverette's eyes lid, her back hitting the edge of the table she was cleaning. She falls backwards, taking Meliodas with her, and her body begins to heat up as she realizes the blonde is flush against her body. Elizabeth feels him smirk against her skin, his lips pressing kisses over the hickey he'd given her. She gives a short moan, Meliodas climbing atop her, moving his hands to pin her wrists to the table. Elizabeth wraps her legs around his waist, her legs on either side of his hips.
His lips trail from the hickey to the underside of her jaw, lightly nipping at it. Her breathing becomes slightly faster and she begins to squirm under his touch. She gives a particularly loud moan as Meliodas' lips goes back to her neck, sucking and licking at a sensitive patch of her milky skin.
"You haven't answered the question," Meliodas points out with a throaty hum as he lifts his head to look at her in the eyes, chills running throughout her body. Elizabeth's lips part, in attempt to give him an answer, but his lips immediately go back to nipping at the skin of her neck, a quiet moan slipping past her lips instead of actual words.
That's when a gasp filters into the room, but the sound belonging to neither the silverette nor the blonde.
She feels Meliodas's lips leave her skin, slowly at that, and she watches as he lifts his head from her neck. Elizabeth tilts her head to the side, her aqua hues locking with a familiar looking golden.
As she inspects the person, Elizabeth takes in the way her hair is shoulder length and a lighter blonde than Meliodas's hair color, the shape of her face reminding her of someone, and her golden gaze so promising and safe. At first, she thinks King, but of course this isn't King; this is a blonde woman, not an auburn haired guy.
Then it clicks; this has to be King's younger sister!
"Yo, what's going on Elaine?" Meliodas greets like Elaine hadn't walked in on them... doing whatever it is they were doing. Elizabeth sits up, her legs still wrapped around his waist and her arms snaking to loop her arms around his neck. The silverette is sure the blush on her face got a million times worse.
"Really?" Elaine says, "You're just gonna greet me like you hadn't just been sucking the life out of her neck?"
Meliodas simply shrugs.
Elaine sighs. "You're something else."
"Hey, at least I'm not like your boyfriend and your brother when they start fighting over small things," Meliodas counters as he slides his hands down her back before they rest at her ass, a shaky exhale leaving her lips all the while.
"Uh huh - Where is everyone? And what in the world are you doing to the president's daughter?"
Elizabeth mentally groans - of course there's another person who knows who she is. But Elaine seems so sweet and polite, so maybe just this once she wouldn't mind. However, with the knowing smile on the blonde woman's face, the silver haired woman only flushes more and hides her face in Meliodas's neck. She hears him silently chuckle, his embrace on her tightening.
"They're all out restocking on alcohol and everything. And Elizabeth's here because she's helping us," a simple explanation leaves his mouth. One of his hands moves up to her back, his hand moving up and down in a comforting motion.
"Okay! Then I'll just wait for everyone to come back!" Elaine says, her tone cheery.
Meliodas moves his hand to her thigh before patting it softly. "Princess," he whispers, and Elizabeth lifts her head, their gazes locking. "I'm gonna get dressed, 'kay? I'll be right back," he tells her with a grin. The silverette smiles back before he leans closer to her and presses a kiss to her lips. Though, before she could react, he removes himself from her and leaves the bar.
With a sigh, Elizabeth pulls herself off the table and sits on one of the seats. Not before long, Elaine sits next to her, a wide smile on her face when Elizabeth looks at her.
"This isn't how I expected to meet the daughter of our president," she chuckles. "I'm sorry if I, er, interrupted something."
"Oh, no! Don't worry," Elizabeth nervously laughs, "it's alright. Um, he- we- That was nothing!"
Golden eyes look cheekily and knowingly at the silverette. "Elizabeth, I know I walked in on you two about to," Elaine pauses, "you know," she then gestures randomly with her hands. "I'm not as innocent as I may seem."
Elizabeth giggles at the blonde who grins at her, "Really though; it's fine! Stuff happens!" The silverette watches as Elaine closes her eyes and laughs gingerly, causing Elizabeth to give a warm smile.
Maybe King is right. Maybe Elaine and Elizabeth are gonna be amazing friends.
