"Hurry brother before I beat you to the top!" My little sister Cindy Glidjaro yelled as she ran up a large hill of blue grass. I followed close behind with a smile on my face, truly happy to see my little sister having fun on her 6th birthday.
My father and mother had allowed me to get off early from work and spend time with Cindy on her last day of childhood and for that I was great full.
Cindy laughed with childish glee as she had finally reached the top of the blue hill that stood close by our family farm.
"I beat you brother and now you owe me one promise." Cindy walked up to me with a smug look on her face.
I rolled my eyes faking irritation as I sat down on the grass and allowed the suns rays to bath my skin in warmth. My sister sat down next to me and we both looked out amongst the horizon of farming fields and the large trees of Esneth.
"So what would you have me promise little sister?"
Cindy raps her arms around mine as she continued to watch the beauty of our homeland. "My promise is simple. Wherever you go, whatever path you find yourself on, just promise that you will bring me with you big brother."
I will admit that even now I wasn't expecting to hear those words from someone so young but Cindy was always very wise and smart for someone her age.
"Don't worry Cindy, I'm never going to leave this planet, I'm never going to be able to explore the galaxy and have adventures that most people could ever dream of. You and me will never be separated ok?" I laughed as I looked at Cindy.
In that moment of peace and calm, that moment were nothing could go wrong, I remember hearing the sound of an explosion that seemed to radiate all throughout the planet.
"What is that!" I yelled standing up in surprise.
I could see thick black smoke rising up from behind the tall blue mountains, black smoke that blocked out the golden sun from above.
"Kron what's happening?"
"I don't know Cindy, but we need to get back home quickly."
We ran down the hill as fast as we could. Our only goal was to make it back home as fast as possible. I held my sisters hand tightly refusing to let go. I could just make out the farmlands belonging to my family, but that wasn't all that I saw. From within the air, they appeared from the cosmos beyond. Three giant star ships appeared, floating in the air. These ships I had only heard about only in legend.
"T-those are Star destroyers!" I yelled out in shock as I was literally looking at a legend right before my very eyes.
I didn't know what was happening, I didn't know why so many of our farmlands where burning, nor did I real know why so many Star Destroyers had targeted my village. I didn't know and I didn't care all I hoped was that my father and mother was ok. "Please let them be ok.
"Brother I'm scared." Cindy said as she ran beside me.
For a moment I stopped running and hugged my sister who was tearing up in my arms. "It's going to be ok Cindy but we have to keep moving." I tried to sound as calm as possible.
I got down on my knees and looked my sister in the eyes. "Hey remember my promise, I'm not going to leave you ok?"
Cindy wipes her eyes. "Ok."
It took us around 30 mins to reach the farm and what I saw filled me with rage. The fields were burning, all of our hard work was in smoke, the barn was on fire and our house was completely collapsed. Everything was destroyed and yet I didn't see my father nor my mother.
Cindy looked around in panic "Who did this?"
"I-I don't know yet."
Me and Cindy walked through the burning fields. We stayed quite as we tried to look for answers and yet we found nothing.
"Boom!!!"
A massive explosion echoes from afar, making our ears ring in pain. "That came from the village." I said surprised.
We ran down the dirt path that headed towards the village. I could smell and even see black smoke from afar and yet I still ran. I prayed that my parents would be at the village and that they would be safe.
As we neared the village we bore witness to houses that were in the same condition as ours. House where burning, walls were crumbled, crops were destroyed. All these things brought tears to my eyes, these where the people I grew up with, the people who helped raise me and my sister.
Me and Cindy neared the middle of the village and as we grew closer we could hear a myriad of screams that belonged to the villagers.
Cindy and I slowed down our pace, doing our best to not make noise. We both crouched down behind a cracked wall and slowly peaked our head out to see the commotion.
I could feel a sudden chill go up my spine as I bore witness to dead bodies littered all over the ground as if they where trash. Small burning holes pierced all of their bodies. "Blaster fire." I said shocked.
"Kron look." Cindy softly said as she pointed into the distance.
I follow Cindys gaze and from afar I see solders dressed all in black armor. I couldn't see clearly from where I was but it almost looked like I was looking at the old stormtroopers that once served the empire thousands of years ago, but other than the difference in color their was also something else different about these solders, I just couldn't put my finger on it.
It was like I was looking at some kind of fantasy world but soon the fantasy ended as my eyes fell on a line of still living people and inside that line, I saw my parents. My eyes widened in fear, "Mom, dad..."
The sky rumbled as a grey shuttle appeared from the sky. It landed right in the middle of village and as the shuttle doors opened a man wearing an all black uniform stepped out. His face was stern and cold as if he was void of emotion. The stranger accompanied by two black troopers walked towards the line of survivors. I had a bad filling.
"Behold and rejoice!" The stranger yelled out towards the crowd of my people. "Today you all witness the coming of a new dawn, a new age."
"You... you are part of the empire." My dad said with defiant eyes.
My dad was a strong willed kind of man and honesty their where times when I wished he wasn't so strong willed.
"The empire? Oh no no no the empire was a kingdom lost in history, a kingdom filled to the brim with foolish commanders along with unwise Sith Lords." The stranger stood in front of my father, looking down on him as if he where an insect. "No we are part of a new breed, a new generation of warriors. We are the Revolution and we are the future."
"The Revolution?"
