This warmth running down my cheek is fire

Burning me, I cannot erase

I know not whether it is the tears or the blood

That singe this scar across my face

The snow around us falls as if

Time would never stop

Yet I wait here silently and listen

For each tiny precious drop

Do you know how long I will suffer?

This guilt I bear, I bear alone

It's not the snowflakes falling that

Has chilled me to the bone

You'll never leave my thoughts

Dear love, dear friend, dear wife

I cry for my redemption

I cry in remembrance of your life
