Prologue:

Growing up with a Snake

A little girl of four was running around the flower garden behind Malfoy Manor, her brown hair pulled up into a short ponytail, her violet eyes searching intently for a hiding spot.

A little boy with pale skin and short blonde hair was leaning against a tree, back facing the flower garden, eyes pressed tightly together while counting aloud.

''18,19,20 ready or not here I come!" yelled a young Draco Malfoy. He ran around and around the flower garden laughing all the while, trying to find his best friend. After making his way around the garden for about the fifth time he was ready to give up, when he heard a small giggle coming from the other side of a rose bush. Making his way very quietly over to the bush he peaked over the top and squealed, " I found you, I found you I found you!" while he hoped up and down in circles excitedly.

"Yeah but can you catch me!" yelled Lea from behind her shoulder, who was already five steps ahead of the four year old Draco. He started to run after her, both of them laughing hysterically as they came tumbling down a hill.

Three days later Lea left with her dad to go back to their mansion in the United States. Lea and her father had been visiting Malfoy Manor every summer since she was three. Lea's father and Lucius Malfoy were both long time supporters of the Dark Lord as well as long time friends. Lea's mother had died from cancer when she was only two, Lea could hardly remember her.

When Draco and Lea where nine they started to pick petty fights with each other, most of which ended up with a frog in Lea's bed or Draco getting soaked with a water bubble (a magical version of a water balloon). Draco and Lea continued to pick little fights with each other but they never grew serious until Draco started Hogwarts and Lea started The Freedom Wizardry Academy in America. When they both started school, their father's started to discipline them more as well. Both of their father's started to lecture them on the impotence of the Dark Art's and on all of Voldamort's beliefs, if they disobeyed their father's then they would be seriously punished.

After they started school, when ever Lea would come out for the summer Draco would ignore her and she him. The few times they would acknowledge each other they would end up in a screaming fight.

When they were thirteen they found out that they were betrothed…and they didn't take it to well.

"Why would I ever want to be married to a superficial airhead like you!" screamed Lea, her violet eyes on fire.

"Superficial! You're the superficial one! Always spending hours in front of the mirror, I can't believe I'm spending the rest of my life with a bathroom hog!" Draco yelled with fuming eyes.

"Oh My God! Your so infuriating, I'm so glad I'm leaving tomorrow!"

"Me too!"

"Fine!"

"Fine" and then, the sound of two doors slamming shut was the only thing that was heard.

A/N I know this is short but it's only the prologue I promise the next chapter will be much longer! Don't forget to review 
