Sycamore groaned before taking off a piece of paper from his face. It looked like he fell asleep on his desk again. Countless days with no sleep wasn't such a good idea it seems.
A cup of tea was placed on his desk, making the professor look up.
"Professor, did you get any sleep tonight on a bed?" Noelle asked him, grabbing the papers and organizing them.
It still spooked him, seeing Noelle standing here well and okay, no injuries or blood. He still had flashbacks to where he saw her for the first time, covered with blood and laying on the cold concrete floor.
"Noelle...I'm fine, don't worry about me." He nervously smiled at her, sitting up straight.
"Of course not, sir. Those eyebags of yours are obvious signs of lack of sleep. You should rest for today, I'll take care of your paperwork for today." She said.
"What?! I'm sorry Noelle, but I can't let you do these paperworks! I don't think you'd understand what my research is about-"
"Mega Evolution. Your work is based on Mega Evolution and how it works. Right now, you are working out a way to stop the aggressive nature of some Mega Evolved Pokemon." She interrupted him, making the man speechless.
He took a deep breathe. "How did you know that?" He asked.
"I've been reading! Dexio and Sina have been helping me as well."
He should really thank his two assistants for helping her, but she learned so much from only one day. He had a idea however. "Noelle, can you get me a Lumiose Galette?"
As suggested from the Professor, Noelle wore a different outfit from her usual clothes. Instead of a maid's outfit, she wore a baggy sweater and pants. The reason why is so she wouldn't stand out from the crowd. She understood his reasoning, especially the S.S. Anne.
But she didn't feel comfortable in the attire. She must have gotten used to her maid outfit back home.
The only thing that remained from her normal outfit was her Geo Vision. This time, wearing it as a necklace instead. No one would know it was one, they've never seen one.
Right now she was in the South Boulevard, looking over the directions. The Galette Stand was in the North Boulevard, so she has to either take a taxi or get there herself.
She looked back at the money Sycamore gave her.
100 Pokedollars.
She most definitely was going to take walking, unless she wanted to defeat the powerful taxi riders...without any Pokemon.
She decided to stop near the red cafe located near Magenta Plaza. She stopped there to take a breather. She was lost in the city. She should ask a local and-
"Excuse me ma'ma."
She turned and behind her, was a tall man. She hadn't noticed he was behind her at all. "Sorry, sir. I didn't see you there." She apologized to him.
"It's alright! Are you lost?"
"...Yes I am. How could you tell sir?"
"Well I've had tourists stop by my cafe multiple times before! Where are you going?"
Thought it's short, he seems to glance at her necklace, her Vision. She pretends not to notice, but this man rubs her the wrong way. She has to be cautious here. "I'm heading to the Galette Stand." She simply said to the unknown man.
"Ah that place is easy to get to! In fact, I have never seen a tourist get lost finding that place!" The man laughed. "Come with me, ma'ma." He said.
"No need sir. Please give me directions to the place and I'll be on my way." She backed away from him, holding her hands in front.
"...If you say so!"
She'll have to remember this man's face, her gut tells her something is wrong here. "Wait sir, may I ask for your name?" She asks him.
"Hmph. My name is Fleur, madam!" He answers, smiling.
Fleur, she'll remember that name.
Noelle found the stand, and in perfect timing. There was no line, and only one person was there. A purple haired lady was taking her order so she waited for her to finish.
"Get me a...dozen and..." The woman in front said, the employee nodded his head. The employee handed her a box and the woman thanked him and turned around to walk away. But when she sees Noelle, she halts and looks at her neck.
"Next!"
The woman immediately walks off, mumbling off a apology. 'It's a coincidence right?' She thinks to herself, worrying about the worst.
"Miss?"
She wakes up to reality and walks up, taking out her money. "Only one please." She said, giving it to the employee. He handed her a single Lumoise Galette and took her money. She said her thanks and walked away from the stand.
She left out a sigh of relief as she walked. "Now I can head back to the lab." She mumbled to herself, putting away the Galette.
"Hey wait."
That sounded like the woman. She turned to see the same purple haired woman putting a hand on her shoulder. She remains silent, worrying the woman knows about her Vision.
"Are you from Mondstadt?"
She stood there frozen, her mouth hanging open. "...How do you know that city?"
"I'm from Liyue, my name is Keqing. You?"
That name, Keqing, seemed familiar to her. "Noelle. My name is Noelle."
"Noelle, I have to ask you something before we part ways for some time. Before you came into this world, was Mondstadt attacked?"
Author's Note: I'M FINALLY MAKING A CHAPTER WITH NOELLE WOOO SHE IS ALIVE! okay sorry for that guys, i wanted to bring Noelle back after forgetting her. and now Keqing is here! sadly her and Ningguang arent in the same region, but so is Ganyu. you may get a bit of Noelle's backstory i wont lie about that. also school is ending soon, so i get to write more! okay see you guys, i hoped you enjoyed this chapter and have a wonderful day/night!
