And thus I present to you all chapter 3!. I hope that you all enjoy it despite the long wait.
I do NOT own Jujutsu kaisen or My hero academia!. This is purely a work of fanfiction!.
It has now been a few weeks since Gojo first came to this world and for the most part, he'd adjusted well. No curses were there to be destroyed, no annoying old farts of the Jujutsu World telling him what to do, and no Ryoumen Sukuna. This new world was truly bliss, well for the most part. For one, ever since the aftermath of his fight with that sludge villain a lot of pro heroes have approached him and offered him an internship at their hero agency or some kind of scholarship. Gojo had turned them all down of course since if he were to become a pro hero he would do it all on his own. After all, he was the strongest jujutsu sorcerer in his previous lifetime, he could handle himself just fine. He didn't need any type of assistance whatsoever, nor did he need any type of unfair favoritism. He would get to the top all fair and square on his own. Just like he'd done in his previous life (Not counting the blessing of his somewhat god-like powers).
Time was passing by rather quickly and the time was coming up for Izuku Midoriya to choose his next course of education. Much like all of the other young teens within the country. This choice, in particular, was rather easy for Gojo. Sure his life had been rather peaceful lately but it was honestly kind of boring. After that fight with the sludge villain, he didn't really encounter anything fun that caught his interest. Of course, fighting wasn't always fun but it was something that kept him busy. And whether he liked it or not he'd rather be busy than bored. So with all of that in mind, he choose the hero course at U.A.
He was aware that there were other hero schools of course (He did his research) but out of all of them, U.A seemed to be the best, not to mention the most amusing. And before he inhabited Izuku Midoriya's body it seemed like the teen had set his sights on that particular school too, even though he was quirkless. Which was somewhat admirable or rather stupid depending on how one would look at it. Either way, it was the school that Gojo had chosen. And so he had an exam to prepare for.
He didn't do much for the preparation part of course, as he was confident in his abilities and battle experience. The only thing he really did for the preparation part was to strengthen his new body a bit. In his previous life, Gojo wasn't the most muscley man in the world but he could at least take a hit without completely breaking down. And he was trying to achieve the same result now just in case someone was able to break through his infinity. He could always heal himself with the reversed cursed technique of course but if his new body wasn't able to last long enough for him to do so then it wouldn't be of any use.
More time passed by until finally, the day of the exam arrived and one Izuku Midoriya would turn the pro hero world upside down.
It was early in the morning when Gojo woke up to the sound of his annoying alarm clock. With a less than gentle punch to the top button of the clock, he turned the annoying beeping off, threw the covers off of himself, and stepped out of bed. Gojo couldn't help but yawn as he proceeded to crack his neck in order to loosen up the sore muscles. He really needed to pester his mother about a new pillow someday.
After a quick trip to the shower, He headed towards his closet to pick out a comfy outfit which consisted of a white long-sleeved t-shirt and previously green-now dyed black matching tracksuit set. He couldn't fathom why the teen previously had even bought the thing in the first place. The obnoxious light shade of green was enough to burn almost anyone's eyes. Not to mention it screamed 'hey I am an easy target to spot from even miles away'. Not to mention that his poor six eyes had already endured quite enough pain thank you very much. They didn't need any more to be added to that list.
Now that he was dressed Gojo would quickly pack his backpack with the necessary items before throwing it over his shoulder and heading downstairs to join his mother for breakfast. As expected once he stepped foot in the kitchen his mother had just finished setting everything up and was in the process of taking her seat at the kitchen table when she noticed him. As was usual she greeted him with a smile like she did every morning "Good morning Izuku! Today is the big day huh? Are you excited?".
Gojo casually shrugged off his backpack, putting it down on the floor before he joined Inko at the table by taking the seat in front of her. "Mmm-mm" Gojo hummed in agreement as proceeded to pick up his chopsticks to tackle the food in front of him. "As long as it's somewhat amusing then I'll consider it a win!" Gojo said before happily stuffing his face with the freshly made pancakes. Inko considered him for a moment before she took a bit out of her own pancake.
It wasn't as obvious as it was at first but ever since Izuku got his quirk he'd gone through quite big of a change, heck it was like he went through a complete personality change overnight!. He didn't stutter anymore, always made eye contact, was confident in everything that he did, was not afraid to mess around whether that be messing with others (in a teasing or annoying matter) or messing up bad guys. Not to mention his new love for sweets and the complete detachment of his previously-beloved hero notebook among other things. Inko vividly remembered that Izuku used to carry that thing around with him everywhere he went, muttering amongst himself as he wrote in it. And now he hadn't touched it ever since that incident with the sludge villain.
It was honestly quite big of a change but it was one that she didn't mind. After all, perhaps this was what her boy was truly like, what he was meant to be but previously never dared to show because he was scared. Scared that he'd get bullied more for being his true confident quirkless self. She wasn't aware of the bullying he'd endured at first, heck she was sure that she never would have found out if it wasn't for Izuku himself mentioning it to her. It was truly one of the most surprising conversations that she'd ever had with her son.
Flashback
It had been about 2 weeks since Izuku had gained his quirk and the change in personality had happened when one day, in particular, he approached her. It was around midday on a Sunday when her son approached her in the living room. "Hey, mom can we talk for a second? I think that there is something that you should know". Inko proceeded to look up from the book that she was reading, giving her son a reassuring smile before closing it and putting it down beside her on the armrest of the couch. "Of course Izuku. You can always talk to me about anything. What's the matter?" Inko asked her beloved teen as she took off her reading glasses, folding them and putting them down onto the coffee table in front of her. Izuku followed that up by casually plopping down onto the couch beside her, a small smile present on his face like always "You know Bakugo Katsuki right? The guy that sweats nitroglycerin?".
Inko blinked, surprised by the sudden mention of the name. Frankly, she hadn't heard that name in years, So why now?. "Yes, I remember him. You two used to go to school together until just recently. If I'm not mistaken you two were also childhood friends right?". Iuzku nodded "Yeah that guy. I was just wondering, has he ever been to any kind of anger management classes or something? Because that guy is completely off the rails". Inko blinked once again, surprised. Well yes, she knew that Bakugo had some minor anger issues in the past but it honestly was never that bad from what she'd remembered. It couldn't possibly be as bad as her son was suggesting right?. Inko shook her head before answering "No not that I'm aware of. But why bring it up? I vividly remember you two playing together back in the day and it never seemed to be a problem". Izuku's smile deflated ever so slightly at hearing that "It wasn't a problem until his ego had gotten so big that he started to bully others, and not in a teasing way. He straight-up beats down anyone that pisses him off, whether it be a man or a woman, a teen or a preschooler". Izuku chuckled before he continued, rolling up the sleeve of his black sweater to show her the faintest hints of bruises and scars. "I should know because I've been his favorite target for years. I've got scars like these all over my body".
Inko her eyes widened, looking horrified as she grabbed her son's arm to study the wounds. How hadn't she seen this before? Known this before?. Her son has been in pain all of these years because of that boy and she wasn't there for him. How could she not have noticed this?. Inko felt herself crumble slightly, who was she kidding? of course, she knew why. She was too busy living within her own guilt and sorrow, distancing herself as much from her son as possible because her genetics hadn't given him a quirk.
Determined to change things she let go of her son's arm, her eyes burning fiercely. She would change things, she would be there for him from now on, no more drowning in her self-pity and guilt. Heck, there was even no need for her to feel that way anymore since her son did in fact have a quirk now. "I'm glad that you told me this. Don't worry Izuku I'll have a talk with that boy's mother and make sure that he won't lay single a finger on you ever again". Inko stood up, ready to go over there right now to settle things when her son grabbed a hold of her arm, stopping her within her tracks. "Hey now, there's no need for you to do that. I've got this. I can handle him no problem" Izuku reassured her.
Inko her gaze softened as she looked her boy over from tip to toe, still concerned for his well-being "Are you sure Izuku? Because I honestly wouldn't mind taking care of this. I know that some boys your age might find it embarrassing but it's a mother's duty to protect her child, no matter how old they are. That never changes". Izuku nodded before letting go of her arm and standing up to face her directly "Don't worry I got this. I'll make sure that he never bothers me or anyone else like that again". And Gojo meant every word of it. After a few days of being here in this new world, he started to do some more research on his new identity to figure out if there were any important things that he'd missed, and that was when he came across the videos and photo's on the internet of that blond-haired kid beating the shit out of him and a few other kids, but mostly him.
It turned out that the name of the blond-haired kid that he'd previously rescued was Bakugo katsuki and he seemed to loathe Izuku Midoriya with his every being. The reason? because he was quirkless. Gojo could understand in a sense, he did not always like every weak person either but beating them up for it? That was just multiple reasons of messed up. The strong were supposed to protect the weak, that's how'd it always been, That's what he did, even if it was a slight pain in the ass sometimes. After all, it was a part of being the strongest.
One might say that it would be wrong to beat up the weak, even if it was deserved. But Gojo would make some exceptions to the rule when needed. After all, he wasn't afraid to throw hands, no matter what. And he would throw hands with one Bakugo Katsuki when the next opportunity presented itself. After all, Izuku Midoriya deserved justice for all of the torment he went through.
Inko eventually relented, sighing as she proceeded to sit back down in her previous spot on the couch. "Alright, I'll leave it to you. But if I hear any new things about you receiving a new scar from that boy I'm going to have a talk with his mother and fix things myself. Understood?". Gojo smiled "Loud and clear" before he gave her a salute and casually walked back upstairs towards his room.
End flashback
Inko couldn't help her worrying train of thoughts as she looked at the green-haired teen in front of her. He seemed excited which was always a good thing but this exam was known for being pretty dangerous, not to mention his bully; Bakugo Katsuki would be there too. What's not to say that he would sabotage her boy? Sure Izuku had a quirk know but he'd gotten it just recently and Bakugo had it for years. No matter how talented her son was with his new quirk experience always won against talent.
After swallowing yet another bit Inko spoke up once again "I'm glad that you are excited but are you sure that you are going to be okay with your quirk and all?. You know that there is no shame in taking a gap year to practice more and take the exam next year". Izuku, already having finished his plate, shook his head "I got this. Trust me". He then proceeded to excuse himself from the table, standing up and hoisting his backpack over his shoulders soon after.
Once ready he turned around to face her, holding out his pinky finger to her. "I'll become the strongest hero this world has ever seen and no one will be able to beat me to it. It will only be a matter of time" He said in a matter-of-fact tone like he believed that he already was. Inko snorted, a pinky promise? really? how old was he? 10?. Giggling she gently hooked her pinky around his. "Alright, hotshot I'll hold you to that then. It's a promise" Inko said with a smile before letting go, quickly taking the last bite of her pancake before ushering her sun out of the door.
"Now hurry up or else you're gonna be late," she said as she gently pushed her son through the front door of the house. Gojo turned around to face her, a pout now clearly present on his face "No fair~ I was up all rise and shine this morning and this is how I get treated? Can't I at least get a ride?". Inko rolled her eyes in a fond manner "You and I both know that you can get there all by yourself just fine. Now get your butt over there mister or you really are going to be late". Gojo smiled, simply shrugging at this "Welp it was worth a shot. Love ya ma~" before he teleported away.
Inko couldn't help but chuckle to herself as she closed the front door behind him. Her boy was acting so silly sometimes lately. Whatever was she going to do with him?.
Upon arriving at the school it was immediately evident how huge the school was, way bigger then the biggest Jujutsu Sorcerer school in his previous world, unfortunately. But when thinking about it kinda made sense since in the world almost everyone had a quirk whereas in his previous lifetime Jujutsu Sorcerers were somewhat sparse. Not dwelling much on it he continued on following the other young teens inside into the gathering hall.
Once everyone was seated inside one by one more lights would turn, brightly lighting up a stage within the middle of the hall, a huge display screen could be seen behind it displaying the current logo of the school. The muttering amongst the students quieted and a clear sense of excitement filled the room as a figure appeared on the stage. "For all you examinee listeners tuning in, welcome to my show today!. Everybody say hey!" The pro hero Present Mic stated excitedly, clearly aiming for a warm welcome only to be met dead silence. This did not seem to deter the pro hero however as he seemingly continued without a care in the world. "What a refined response. Then I'll quickly present to you the rundown on the practical exam. Are you ready?!" He exclaimed, only to be once again met with dead silence.
Once again this did not seem to deter the pro hero as he continued. "As it says in the application requirements, you listeners will be conducting 10-minute mock battles after this. You can bring whatever you want with you. After the presentation, you'll head to the specified battle center, okay?. Moving on, Three different types of faux villains are stationed in each battle center. You earn points for each of them based on their level of difficulty. Your goal, dear listeners, is to use your quirks to earn points by immobilizing the faux villains. Of course, attacking other examinees and any other unheroic actions are prohibited!".
As the explanation slowly came to a close Gojo found himself folding his hands behind his hand and propping his feet onto the table in front of him, earning him a few annoyed and confused looks from some of the teens next to him but he didn't care, All of this would be a piece of cake!. As he was ready to possibly doze off a loud voice could suddenly be heard throughout the whole room "May I ask a question?!". The pro hero quickly regarded the young man who'd asked the question before giving him the heads up "Okay! Go ahead". Almost all of the eyes in the room turned in the direction of the young man, curious what he had to say. "On the printout, there are four types of villains. If that is a misprint, then U.A, the most prominent school in Japan, should be ashamed of that foolish mistake. We, examinees, are here in this place because we wish to be molded into exemplary heroes!".
Present mic chuckled before he ushered the student to quiet down a bit "Okay okay, Examinee 7111. Thanks for the great message. The fourth type of villain is worth zero points. That guy's an obstacle, so to speak. There's one in every battle center- an obstacle that will go crazy in narrow spaces. It's not impossible to defeat, but there's no reason to defeat it, either. I recommend that you listeners try to avoid it". "Thank you very much for the explanation!. Please excuse the interuption!" the young male teen who'd asked the question said before bowing politely and sitting back down.
Present Mic clapped his hand excitedly "Alright dear listeners, are there any more questions before we start?". Taking the opportunity Gojo all too early raised his hand. Since it was actual question time now he might as well ask, after all, it was better to be safe than sound. Present Mic smiled as he regarded the green-haired teen who was sitting a few feet away "Alright examinee 2234!, What is your question?". Gojo smiled as he lowered his hand back down and removed his feet from the table in front of him, much to the relief of the other teens sitting next to him. "Well, you mentioned before that we are supposed to destroy faux robot villains, So there's bound to be some damage to the surrounding areas. I was just wondering how far we could go with that? without having to fear for any possible point reductions or any possible costs associated with it?".
Present mic blinked, slightly taken aback by the question just like a few others in the room. It was a bit of an unusual question but also a smart one. Now that he thought about it in all of his years as a pro hero he'd never heard this question being asked before. Granted, it would be a rare case if someone were to cause so much damage to the surrounding areas that they had to completely rebuild it but it wasn't unheard of. Heck, All Might was one of those cases when he took the exams all those years ago. Present Mic found himself smiling ever so slightly at the memory "Ah that is indeed a good question dear listener! But no worries! Such cases are very rare but if it does indeed happen you have nothing to worry about. The school will repair everything, there are no costs associated with it. Nor will there bere any point reductions as long as you don't destroy the battle center on purpose. Are we all loud and clear?".
Gojo nodded, feeling his excitement increase by tenfolds. Yes! That meant he didn't have to worry about anything. He could go all out, he'd just have to make sure that he didn't accidentally hurt anyone "Yes, that helps, Thanks!". Present Mic nodded "Great! Now if there aren't any more questions we can let the exams begin!".
About a half-hour, later everyone had gathered at their right battle center, including one very excited Izuku Midoriya. The only thing that would've made it even better would have been that Bakugo was in the same battle center as him. Gojo's plan would have been to 'accidentally' take away all of Bakugo his points right in front of his nose, but beggars can't always be choosers, unfortunately. Either way, Gojo was ready to pounce and let loose, destroying every robot that came within his vicinity.
He was standing right outside of the gates to his destined battle center along with the few other participants who'd been assigned to the same place. He wasn't stupid though, he knew that particularly all eyes of his fellow competitors were focused on him, after all, he stood out like a sore thumb. And how could he not be? after his identity had basically been made public after his fight with that sludge villain. Not only had he grabbed the attention of some of the pro heroes but some of his possible future classmates as well, and not all the attention was that of the good kind of course. Not that he could blame, after all in his previous lifetime the exact same thing happened too. You either hated Satoru Gojo or you loved him.
He didn't think that anyone would have the guts to approach him so color him surprised when one girl suddenly did, her short brown hair and black tracksuit jacket bouncing slightly with every step that she took. "Hi! You are Izuku Midoriya, right? I'm sorry if I'm distracting you or anything but when I saw you I just couldn't help myself. My name is Ochako Uraraka and I really admire what you did on tv back then!. It takes courage for one to stand up to a villain like that, It certainly motivated me to try harder". She extended her hand towards him and he took it, shaking it to commence to this moment. "Likewise. Ya know I honestly expected more people to approach me today but you are actually the first to do so".
Ochako blinked slightly as she slightly tilted her to the side to think things over "Really? I did not expect that. It's a shame really since I'm sure that I'm not the only one here who admires what you did. But I suppose that in the end, it's their loss since not all of them might make it here and get a second chance to talk to you". Ochako gave him another smile before she let go of his hand and took a step back "Anyways it was nice to meet you. Maybe we'll see each other again in the upcoming semester ne?. Good luck!". She then proceeded to give him a little wave before walking off. Gojo couldn't help but to chuckle to himself as he watched her walk away. Ochako Uraraka huh? he'd make sure to remember that name.
Suddenly a loud beeping could be heard over the loudspeaker signaling that the practical exam was about to start. Once gates had started to open Gojo didn't hesitate and rushed in, teleporting himself near the closest robot villains that he could which happened to be right near the entrance of the faux city battlefield. He'd been going there so fast that the nearest robots didn't even have enough time to spot him before he'd ripped their heads off. Moving on he headed towards the next closest robots that he could see which was particularly child's play thanks to the power of his six eyes.
Once again he'd been able to rip yet another faux robot's villains' heads before it could even sense him and threw its body towards the other nearest robot a few feet away destroying it too. All of this happened within less than five seconds. Gojo, was who having the time of his life at this point proceeded to laugh like a maniac as he destroyed one robot after the other, creating pure chaos whilst he led the other teens that participated on a wild goose chase as they followed him within the hopes that he wouldn't destroy all of the robots within the field. Oh boy, were they wrong.
By the time Gojo was done, he'd single handily taken down all of the faux robots within the vicinity, not counting the big obstacle one since that one hadn't shown up yet. Gojo smiled in triumph as he stood there, within the middle of the field, looking like he hadn't even broken a sweat while all of the other participants were pretty much out of breath, wondering what kind of monster this green-haired kid had to be. Really? what kind of power would one have to hold to be able to destroy all of those robots like it was nothing?.
The teachers who were watching through the hidden cameras behind the scenes were wondering exactly that. After all, not even All Might, the strongest hero in existence hadn't been able to produce such results as these. So this kid's quirk had to be even more insane then the one All Might had which didn't make any sense considering that his quirk was listed only as 'teleportation'. Yeah, teleportation their ass, that kid had without a doubt shown them way more abilities then that including; Self-healing, Shooting some kind of nature-defying beams, Improved sight, Improved speed, strength an invisible barrier of some sorts, and of course teleportation. So either this kid's parent or guardian was high when they wrote in his application or they were somehow unaware of what exactly their kid's quirk entailed. Either way, the school had to find out.
With this in mind, Nezu turned to his fellow pro heroes and colleagues "Can somebody call this boy's parent for me and arrange a meeting between the 3 of us?. I would like to figure all of this out as soon as possible". "Yes sir" the pro hero Midnight nodded in agreement. "Shall I invite the boy to your office now?". Nezu smiled as he proceeded to get up from his chair "Please do. You can let him and his parents know that he passed but that due to some unusual circumstances we have to arrange a meeting first to sort something out". Midnight nodded once more before she respectfully bowed towards her superior "Yes sir consider it done".
"Good. In the meantime, the rest of you should prepare another exam round for the rest of the participants. After all to let only examinee 2234 pass would be quite unfair" Nezu stated before he exited the hidden room's office and proceeded to head towards his own. A loud unanimous "Yes sir!" could be heard before he closed the door of the hidden room behind him.
As made his way through the quiet halls of the school towards his office Nezu couldn't get the enigma that was Izuku Modirya out of his head. The kid was truly intriguing, how could he not be with that massive display of power that he showed just now?. Perhaps he would be the one to ultimately succeed All Might.
The further Nezu walked the further the possibilities of his thoughts went.
Izuku Midoriya. What an interesting character indeed.
