"We are on day two of the Second Alliance-PLANT armistice delegations," a reporter was announcing to the general public of PLANTs. "There are no signs of hostility amongst the nations. Some reporters and journalists have been allowed to sit in on these delegations. Let us head to our own Connor Lexington who is at the scene. Connor, how are the representatives dealing with this armistice?"

The screen split to two reporters. Connor was standing outside the doors of the delegation room. "Yes, Wanda, I'm here outside the delegation room and so far, it has been going on a steady pace. As delegations go, there has been some arguments between the two main parties, but the neutral nations, acting as the mediators, have made sure to keep the conversation flowing. It has been a successful second day so far. Right now, the nations are holding a short recess for lunch, but when they get back, their first topic of discussion are territorial issues. This will likely become a significant topic over the course of this delegation as one of the main points of the wars were to conquer the other. Now-"

The screen switched to another reporter power walking to keep up Gatlin Tzvi, the famed entertainer. They held the microphone up to him. Gatlin's bodyguards were pushing fans and other reporters away from him.

"Gatlin, how do you feel knowing your former teacher is here acting as representative?" The reporter spoke clear but quick.

Gatlin had not been paying attention to them, but this question made him turn his brilliant smile on while looking to the reporter. "It is an honor to be his student, especially as he is now High Chancellor. I know that he must be busy with the delegation. Excuse me, I don't want to be late for my appointment." His guards pushed past the group swarming around them.

The screen turned black. Dearka let out a sigh. Yzak glanced at him. "You have been sighing frequently."

"I thought we would be guarding representatives, but it turns out we will just be attending delegation and events instead," Dearka rested his head on his chin.

"The higher the rank, the more responsibility we have," Yzak reminded him. "Besides our actual guarding will be escorting the vessels back to Earth."

"Yeah, but I did enjoy guarding," Dearka closed his eyes. "Shiho gets to be one of the lucky ones, guarding representatives. I hear she is covering the neutral nations."

"I can always demote you," Yzak smirked.

Dearka jerked his head upwards. "Ha-ha, funny." He relaxed. "I did enjoy guarding our buddy Athrun. I wonder what he's up to in the delegation, bickering with the sense of duty he believes in."

"We will know that when we go to the delegation, later this week," Yzak was organizing papers. "I also have box tickets to the event taking place at the end of the delegation."

Dearka sat up. "You have box tickets to Gatlin Tzvi's ballet?! Isn't that show already sold out? Besides that's not one of the events covered by ZAFT. How much did you have to spend for that?"

"I didn't," Yzak looked over to him. "They were given to me."

"By whom?" Dearka's interest was piqued.

"Gatlin," Yzak spoke his name with familiarity.

Dearka blinked. "You know Gatlin Tzvi?! How-when?!" Yzak gave him a knowing look. "You-you were a student with him?! I can't believe it! Why didn't you say anything? Why haven't you said anything?!"

"I only let you know that I did ballet in the past, I didn't want anything else to be known," Yzak turned away.

"Being in the same troupe as Gatlin with High Chancellor Luka as your instructor is something else though!" Dearka argued. "I mean I may have confided in you that I am skilled in Japanese dancing and I enjoy it as a hobby, but I never been in a group with two famous people like that before! Were there other famous people in this troupe then?" Yzak didn't respond. "There was! Wait, that famous ballet couple, what were their names?"

"Darren and Fiona," Yzak got back to organizing his papers.

"You've really been holding out on me," Dearka smirked. "What else have you been hiding? Aren't those two getting married here soon. Wait, wasn't it the same day you took off?" Yzak didn't even glance at him. Dearka could tell he was being ignored. "Then that means you got to know Selena through that?"

"Yes," Yzak stared straight at him. He was honest. "That's how we originally met. We were all taught by the same instructor."

"That means you have gotten free tickets this whole time!?" Dearka stood up. "And here I was thinking of ways to impress some of the girls I wanted to date, but never had enough money for tickets yet here you are with free tickets to all of their productions!" Yzak shrugged his shoulders. "Gah!" Dearka was furious that he found out this information now. He paced back and forth. He jerked his head towards Yzak. "Did they give you just one or?"

"I have at least two," Yzak informed him.

"Dammit!" Dearka plopped back down on the couch. He was shaking his head. "I thought we were best friends."

Yzak let out a sigh. He felt a bit guilt for not letting Dearka know about this information. "It wasn't something I wanted everyone to know. Everyone knows I have a temper; it was a way to put that energy into good use. I just didn't want it to be known. I didn't want that to be hung over my head as a weakness, not that I would care, but it would have been annoying. It's not something I feel ashamed on, but it's not something I want my enemies to use over me."

Dearka calmed down. "I can see that. I mean seeing you in a leotard would be hilarious." Yzak rolled his eyes. The two started to head out for their first session.

Gatlin made it to his appointment. It was a private lunch with his instructor, Luka. He stood up from his chair to greet Gatlin. Gatlin bombarded him with a hug. Luka let out a sigh and hugged him back.

As the two parted, Luka chastised him. "This could have been photographed to the public?"

Gatlin sat down, taking the napkin off the plate to put on his lap, Luka followed suit. "Not on Selena's watch. She knows how much I appreciate our time together."

Luka bobbed his head in a slight nod. "Selena does like privacy." A button was pushed to notify the servers to attend to them. This was a private meeting between the two. Selena had made sure with her technology there were no bugs or intruders.

The two caught up on their life as they were eating through the course meals. Gatlin leaned back on his chair after he ate dessert. He let out a sigh while patting his stomach. "When I retire, I am going to enjoy lots of food."

Luka chuckled. "But not enough that you lose your physique?"

"Exactly," Gatlin agreed. "If I had your genes, I would then know how I would look when I was that age, but so far, no luck on finding who my parents are, or any relatives."

"Don't lose hope," Luka softened. "Remember, all of you are children to me. You will always be my son. You have a father, right here."

"And this is why Her Heinous-I mean her Her Highness only gives me a need-to-know status on your arrivals," Gatlin sneered. "Did you ever get back with your wife, yet?"

"Not yet," Luka spoke with down casted eyes. He looked back up to him. "Still progressing."

Gatlin felt a stab to his heart. "Then, have you seen your biological son?"

"I have, briefly," Luka gave a soft smile. "When it's the right time, after my wife and I rekindle, he'll know who his father is."

Gatlin sighed. "I hope it was sooner for you. I enjoy that you're my father, but I don't want to see you still struggling to have your own happiness. She still has your nutcracker then?"

"She would not be my wife, if she did not have them, all of my nutcrackers," Luka reminded him. It was a tradition Luka's troupe had whenever someone would play the nutcracker prince in the Nutcracker Ballet. The nutcracker was painted to look like the person playing him. That person, at the end of the season, would get the nutcracker for them to have. Luka's predecessor gave that doll to his girlfriend, later on they got married. It became a tradition to give the doll to their beloved.

All of Luka's nutcrackers were given to his wife. Gatlin was a bit jealous of that. Since Gatlin does not know who she is, he cannot see all of the nutcrackers Luka was. It must be a treasured sight to see.

"You still have not found someone to give yours to?" Luka directed the subject back to him.

"No, but I do hear Selena has one," Gatlin switched the topic. "Possibly many?"

"I do not doubt that," Luka shook his head. "Selena has had many and still oncoming propositioning suitors."

"Are any of them from this delegation?" Gatlin raised his eyebrows at this.

"Yes," Luka nodded. "Some have sent private offers while others made it public, mostly in front of me or Mikael.

Gatlin looked away. He didn't want to see the answer in Luka's eyes. "Do you, do you think we will ever have peace?"

"We have only known war, we do not know how to have peace," Luka explained. "But Selena is here. She will not allow another war to wage on. It is one of her goals."

"Why was she not there for the last wars?" Gatlin asked.

"She was not prepared as she is now," Luka hinted.

The two finished their lunch to get back to their schedules. People were swarming around the delegation building. Luka was escorted in by ZAFT officials. On his passing, he glanced over to see a group of ZAFT commanders speaking with one another. Amongst them was a commander with silver hair, styled in the same page boy haircut he had when he was little. Blue eyes that stared with a sense of arrogance and aloofness. He was a spitting image of his mother. Luka turned his eyes away. Any more and others might have caught on.

Luka sat down behind Selena who was observing the chattering dignitaries standing around the table. He watched as her eyes noticed a certain ZAFT commander heading to his seat. She glanced away, but he could tell she was feeling a bit happier. She was the same to everyone else, but being with her for so long, it was easy to pick up her subtle changes.

Lacus brought the meeting back from a recess. "We shall continue with the topic of territories. We have agreed upon leaving the territories that were being occupied, now to discuss giving back territories that were taken during the wars."

"This is absurd!" An Atlantic Federation piped up. "I've looked back on the last treaty, and we didn't have to do any of this." He brought out a paper. "We didn't have to pay any reparations. We gave back territories!"

"The Junius Treaty is no longer intact as it was broken due to the Second PLANT-Alliance war," Cagalli reminded him. "Which we are now discussing another treaty. It could not be the same as it seems no one learned anything from it. Boundaries were stored back to status quo ante bellum. Neither side paid war reparations. There was no international tribunal, each side would hold its own trial for war criminals. There were preferential tariffs on former PLANT sponsors. Nuclear technologies were prohibited for military use, along with mirage colloid systems. The moon became a neutral territory. And former Minister Lindermann of the Kingdom of Scandinavia proposed strict limits on each nation's armaments in due proportion from natural resources, thus putting the PLANTs at a military disadvantage."

"A PLANT sympathizer again," the Atlantic Federation sneered.

"We are sympathizers because it was them who have become the victim when all they want to live, is in peace, like us," the dignitary from Equilateral Union spoke up. "It is our neutral nations that get pulled in the array. What peace shall we have if we cannot exist amongst one another?"

"Then we must have order in this world!" The Eurasian Federation joined in.

"That's what we are trying to do!" Cagalli stood up with both hands on the desk, leaning over, trying to contain herself.

"Another treaty to hinder both sides until we break through it, as its unfair," the Atlantic Federation crunched the paper with his hand.

"A treaty isn't supposed to be broken!" Cagalli gritted.

"Well, lets make it more fair then," the Atlantic Federation raised his eyebrows.

"Dismantle Blue Cosmos and LOGOS groups and affiliations, war criminals should be judged by a group of representatives from all nations and territories to have a fair trial," Selena was putting up fingers on each point she was speaking about. "The jury will have stricter sentences for leaders than soldiers as leaders made the decisions and soldiers followed their orders. Instead of limits on a number of armaments, limiting on military spending. Only certain budget amount for military while a set minimum amounted budget to help restore civilization. A quarterly report from both sides on expenses and projects. Technology will not be hindered but requirements on the impact and recyclability of these technologic products. A new United Nations should be formed to encompass all territories, which will also meet at least once a year if not more to continue to keep the newly peaceful nations from warring. It would be required that every person that was affected by the wars to undergo therapy. Shall I continue?"

"That's-that's," The Eurasian Federation blinked in shock.

A ZAFT Commander nudged Yzak with his elbow. Yzak glanced over to him. That commander leaned over to him. He whispered, "she's been shutting them up each time she speaks. We may just finally have the peace we want."

The crowd was silent from her words. Could this be part of the new treaty? It sounds so reasonable. It serves to help the people as well as constricting military budgets.

"Are everyone's military budget gets restricted?" The Atlantic Federation's fist was shaking with the paper still crumpled in.

"No, just the warring parties," Selena quipped.

The Atlantic Federation representative's face scrunched up. "How dare you!? Who are you to make these kinds of demands?! Wh-when your royal military is far superior! Outrageous!"

"Oh?" Selena tilted her head.

"IT should be all across the board or nothing at all," he continued on. "Asking-no demanding us to follow this treaty. This delegation. When we all know another war will break out because of these demands! This isn't fair. How are we suppose run a country?! How would it be fair when only a few nations are following these terms. Outrageous I say! Completely outrageous!"

Everyone's eyes were glancing between Selena and him. She was earnestly listening to his rant of unfairness. The anticipation in the room was making people hold their breaths.

"Why should we give back the territories we won, we won them with every right!" He was on a roll but the other two representatives could feel the tension rising. They stood up behind him, trying to get him to calm down. He continued a rant until he struck a chord. "Now we are being nagged by women to be fair."

There were some gasps. The tapping of a gavel prompted him back to where he was exactly. "Earth Alliance Representative," Lacus' reproaching voice made him flinch. "This is a warning. That sort of language is not allowed."

He cleared his throat before sitting down. He tried not to look at the glaring eyes from the women in the room. Selena perked up.

"That's it?" She blinked. "I was expecting more. Fairness? Shall I repeat yesterday's conversation? The Junius Treaty was not perfect, it was lacking. However, this time, we are all here. We all will decide on the fairness. We cannot allow another war to break out. The people cannot endure another war. You mock me for having a royal military, but you forget why I have one. You forget why all neutral nations have a military, whether its royal or not. It is because of the Earth Alliance and PLANTs. We cannot keep our nations neutral without military support. We cannot keep our people safe without military support. Our people become in danger when our nations are pulled into these wars."

"Your so-called neutral nations side with the wrong people!" He jolted out of his chair, pointing a finger at her. "If you were truly neutral, you would not have any military!"

"In wars do you use fairness?" Selena raised an eyebrow. He was silent. "No, it is any tactic to win. When you win, what will you do after that? What will you do with our territory? What is your contingency plan of the Coordinators that you despise? What is your contingency plan to rebuild or do you plan to lay waste the places you conquered and enslave us Coordinators? When you have won will you write history and teach it to the younger generations, will you be fair or blame Coordinators as the villains? Will you continue to mock those different around you? To dehumanize and mock the very people around you?" Selena raised her chin a bit. "These demands are in place to put nations like yours back in its place. All you have ever known is war. These outbursts now are making us fight. That is the only thing you know how to do, fight. To keep on fighting until the other surrenders or dies. It is time you learn to stop fighting and to find peace. This treaty is to bring peace back to the people. Not war, not injustice, not famine, not homelessness. Peace."

The Earth Alliance felt guilty and ashamed by the lecture. It was dead silent but there was a lot of silent agreement to the words Selena spoke. It was time they learned to know what peace was. It was time to stop fighting.

Lacus cleared the air. "We shall have the territories go back like the Junius Treaty. It will be status quo ante bellum. Princess Selena made some good points on how the Junius Treaty was unfair and gave disadvantage. Blue Cosmos and LOGOS was targeted by the late Supreme Council Chairman Durandal. His tactics were in the wrong as well but if we are to be fair, then both sides should have restrictions that cannot allow them to have that much power with little checks and balances. We shall discuss placing these limits and possibly taking those limits off in years in conjunction of evidential progress. We can set restrictions on neutral nations, but neutral nations try to be strict on themselves. It is hard to govern when those nations are open to those fleeing from war.

"Taking technology into consideration, we shall discuss if technology being made is for military or if it's made for the aid in human survival. The Lindermann Plan was great but no one on either side held up their promise. We shall discuss consequences of failing to keep to the treaty and any amendments. We shall discuss creating a new United Nations, budgets, and so forth. We cannot have peace if we cannot follow through with the promises we make. It is no longer the time to fight, it is time to live in peace. We shall adjourn for now and pick up in the morning." She tapped her gavel.
