Goin' KABOOM!

Chapter 3: Nice to Meet You

A young blonde girl had just finished unpacking and despite her previous objections about moving here, she decided to go and explore this place.

She is still not happy about moving into this new and supposedly "haunted" town but she knew that she can't stay in their new house forever. She figured at least get to know this place. It was better than being cooped inside for long.

"Mom, Dad...I'm going out for a while..."She told her parents on her way out.

"Alright, Sweetheart, just be careful in case of ghosts..."Her mother called out.

"There's no such thing as ghosts, Mother..."The teenage girl said with an eye-roll.

Her parents really fell for the towns publicity stunt and Tinker wanted to see the ghost superhero.

"What is this? A comic book?..."She thought with mile amusement.

She just never had any belief in ghosts. Anyway, her dad spoke next.

"I trust you'll be home at a proper hour, Princess..."He said, he was still concern for hers and the town's safety but figured that she couldn't cause to much trouble on her first day here.

Hopefully.

"Okay, Daddy. I won't be late for curfew..."She said before leaving, since she at the very least, respected her father enough to follow the house rules.

She looked around this supposedly haunted town and so far wasn't at all impressed or even startled.

As far as she knew, there weren't any real ghosts and what her parents heard was just some hoax.

"Haunted town with a ghost playing superhero, yeah right..."She scoffed.

She decided to go and see if there was anything even remotely fun to do around this town. After a few minutes, she saw a nearby park and decided to go for a stroll and clear her mind.

Or at least, that's what she hoped would happen, since she saw nothing else of interest here and she noticed that she has yet to see any proof of this town being haunted in anyway.

"No ghost in sight, as expected. Tinker must be disappointed..."She thought, still convinced that this town is just trying to gain publicity with the ghost rumor.

However, instead of feeling mad that she is here and going into one of her tantrums, she felt something else. She was feeling sad at how lonely she is right now.

She already missed her old friends and school, even those weird dog-looking things in clothes that used to pass by her house and cause chaos and harassing local adult women.

She even starting to miss seeing that weird mime who does routines and got himself in accidents all the time.

"I miss home. I wish we didn't have to move here..."The blonde girl thought in a depressed way, wondering why she had to move and wondering if she'll ever get used to this place.

As she thought this, she continued her walk and failed to notice a fight nearby and in the air.

Meanwhile

Danny had captured the Box Ghost, who tried to steal a bunch of boxes from a truck. He had just defeated him and stuffed him inside the Fenton thermos again.

"That made me feel a little better..."Danny though as he put the thermos away.

Now he had nothing else to do felt bored again.

"Well, I just caught the Box Ghost for hundredth time this week and I haven't even worked up a sweat. This barely counts as exercise anymore..."He muttered as he glanced at his watch.

It was already 5:00pm and the sun was still out. He needed something to do in the meantime that wasn't boring to kill some time.

Since he still had 5 hours before curfew and because he doesn't want to go home yet, he decided to go to a nearby park and change back. Maybe the walk will do him some good.

"I guess a little stroll around the park could be a good way to kill some time before another ghost shows up..."He thought, still convinced that nothing interesting is going to happen.

He was wrong.

A little later

Danny had arrived to the park, hoping to get his mind off things. It's too bad that it not night out yet, if it was, he could be out star gazing with his telescope and watch all the stars in the sky but it's too early for that.

It was then that he found he wasn't alone as he ran into a familiar face from home. His sister Jazz had been out jogging and listening to music, and made a turn when she run into her brother.

"Hey there, Little Brother..."She said, panting and a little out of breath.

"Jazz! What are you doing here?..."Danny asked, surprised to see her right now.

"What do you mean? I always jog around here, it's the one place Mom and Dad haven't tried hunting ghosts yet..."Jazz said, as nodded at that. "By the way, how are you doing with both Tucker and Sam being out of town for the whole weekend?..."She asked with concern.

Her brother sighed before responding.

"I'm doing just fine, Jazz. I'm just here to kill some time, maybe wonder around, get some fresh air and enjoy the lack of ghosts for once..."Danny said, not wanting a sister to psychoanalyze him in a public area.

Jazz could see that her brother was in a mood and didn't want to talk about the subject any further. Despite her better judgement, she decided to let Danny be for now and continue her routine jog.

"Well, I'm going to finish up my jog. I'll be back home in an hour but if you need to talk, just remember that I'm just one phone call away..."She said as her brother nodded.

She turned and continued her evening jog...so it was just Danny on his own, all by himself with no but his own thoughts.

"Guess I better get going..."He thought as he got up from the bench and stretched out his legs.

He decided to go someplace else before Jazz came back and asked him more questions or give him an impromptu therapy session again.

He was unaware that a certain someone had also also come to this exact park from a different entrance, and they were about to meet.

Oh boy.

Meanwhile

A young blonde girl had arrived to the park. She looked around and noticed all the decorative foliage around her and smiled.

She thought that it was the best part of the move so far, with no sarcasm.

"This park is pretty nice, I guess...though, I still don't know about it being "haunted"..."She thought as she admired the scenery.

She decided to keep walking before she had to get back to her new house, still not sure about Amity Park yet and still thinking that they should've stay back in Acmeville since at least there, she had people to talk to but here, she knows no one.

"I wish I could make at least one friend here..."She thought, still bummed about being new in town.

That's when it happened.

Back with Danny

The ghostly boy was still bummed out that he was all alone without his best friends to hang with and he wasn't ready to have another "therapy session" with Jazz.

"Some fun weekend..."Danny thought, as his mind was too preoccupied to see where he was going.

Before he could do anything else, someone got in his way, nearly crashing into him. He stepped back, almost tripping a bit.

"Hey, watch it!..."Danny called out but this person didn't listen.

Apparently, this person was deep in thought and wasn't paying attention to where they were going.

Danny frowned as he approached the person who he almost hit, who also happened to be distracted by what she saw and she didn't hear him.

"Huh?..." She went and Danny got this girl's attention.

"Why don't you-..."Danny started but couldn't finish his sentence upon seeing who he bumped into.

Soon Danny and the girl were face to face and Danny froze when he finally got a good look at her.

"Whoa ..."He thought as he checked her out.

This girl is really cute...she's actually very pretty.

She is a who is about his height, with short blonde hair in a bob-cut, big, sparkly blue eyes, light, flawless looking skin and red lips. She is also dressed in a light blue sweater, pink jeggings and blue flats, giving her a perky kind of look.

At that moment, Danny smiled at her as the girl noticed him and she now had a light blush on her face.

"Oh...hi..."The girl said in an innocent sounding voice as she smiled at him.

Danny smiled dumbly and his mind was yelling at him.

"Say something dummy..."He thought as tried to snap back to reality.

"Uh, hey..."He said, feeling embarrassed now.

He couldn't think of anything else to say as he kept staring in her blue eyes.

The girl looked at him funny before accidentally tripping over some uneven cement on the sidewalk.

"Uh oh..."Danny thought as he leapt into action, kneeling down to help.

The girl was on the ground now and looked a bit embarrassed and maybe even upset before Danny offered some assistance.

"Are you okay?..."He asked as he held out his hand.

The girl, who seemed surprised, blinked and responded in an almost embarrassed sounding tone to the dark haired boy.

"I don't know. Do I look okay?..."She asked, as the boy helped her up.

Danny got another good look at her and besides a little bit dirt on her sleeves, she looked fine...actually, she still looked really pretty but he needed to play it cool or at least not sound like a dork.

"I think you look great..."Danny said sincerely, wanting not to upset her... especially since he felt bad for not catching her.

Despite his awkward response, the girl smiled at that, feeling flattered.

"I think you look great too..."She said quickly, making Danny blush at that.

The ghost boy is flustered but relieved she's okay and not reacting badly to him or anything.

"Thanks..."Danny said shyly before remembering to introduce himself.

"My name is Danny, Danny Fenton..."He introduced himself to her.

The girl still smiled at that, brushing some of her hair behind her ear before responding.

"Hi, Danny...My name is Katie...Katie Kaboom..."The girl introduced herself to boy in front of her.

That was the start of something, though whether it was good or bad ...

Well, we will have to wait and see.

1) Tal vez lo sean ... que es algo que Sam odiaría admitir.

2) Algunos padres son así. Prefieren culpar a los demás que admitir que las acciones de sus hijos son culpa suya.

3) Veremos si eso es cierto o no.

4) ¡JAJA!

5) Esperemos y veamos cómo resultan las cosas.
