chapter 2 - Dreamer

A/n Oh yeah this is set between S and SS so there are no Outers (at least not yet :) and I don't own sailor Moon. sighs But I wish I did (don't we all lol)

That night angain Makoto dreamed of him, of the strange cloaked man who would kiss her and leave her with nothing, giving only the person 'Medusa' for a reason, she (at least Mako assumed she was a she) was hunting him. Who was he? Who was Medusa? She had note told the other Senshi but surely they would noticeeventually, she had been sighing and starring into space much more often in glass and had barely written anything at all (which meant Ami at least would notice as she liked to compare what they had done in class so she could see who was slacking off).

But still…Medusa. She was the snake-woman in Greek myth, she turned everyone who met her hideous eyes to stone because she was so ugly. Was this Medusa a new enemy taking on the myth's name or was it just coincidence? It was silly, she'd never really thought about the word at all before in her life but now it sent chills down her spine and she didn't know why. How bad could Medusa be, after all? They'd faced down Beryl, death phantom and mistress Nine. Surely she couldn't pose a bigger threat than the ones theyd already beaten down.

Argh! This was all so frustrating, she'd ask Mars to try and figure out the dreams but they were kind of embarrasing and Usagi and Minako would never let her here the end of it.

"Mako-chan? Mako-chan? Are you in there Mako-chan?"

"Huh what?"

"It's luch silly, come on!"

"Oh, okay Usagi. I didn't notice."

"How can you not notice lunch!" Makoto smiled and followed the ranting Usagi outside into the sun, it as so nice not to be bothred by enemies every day of every week. Now they could finally relax, well as much as studying for entrance exams counted as relaxeing (Mako privaetly thought the word was a foriegn concept to Ami who was always etiher working frantically or she had her hed stuck in a book).

Maybe she was being stupid. They wrere just dreams, right? Maybe they didn't mean anything and she was just trying to escape to a fantasy world where mysterious handsome strangers loved her.

Maybe that wouldn't be so bad, she thought with a small smile as she stepped out into the sunlight. She could definitely cope with that.
