Chapter 15: After School
Several towns away from Amity Park, an angry goth girl was in yet another argument with her parents.
"I cannot believe that I actually missed class today because you two refuse to take a cab or a bus home!..."Sam shouted at her folks.
"Don't use that tone with us, young lady. It's not our fault that we got our flats in a town that's mechanics are subpar and that this place doesn't even have it's own limo rental service..."Pamela said.
"Besides, your mother and I wouldn't be caught dead taking public transportation with a bunch of strangers that we don't know..."Jeremy said in a defensive way.
"And don't think that this has gotten you off the hook for refusing to wear that pretty dress we spent hours shopping for you..."Pamela said while her daughter rolled her eyes.
"Unbelievable..."Sam muttered as she marched away from them, needing a moment to herself.
"I cannot believe that I actually rather be in Lancer's class right now..."The goth girl muttered before groaning.
"I wonder what Danny is doing right now..."She thought, wondering how her best friend and secret crush.
Unaware of what was REALLY happening in Amity Park in her absence.
After School
School had just let out and every was eager to leave and either get home or to their after school activities, hanging out with friends...or dates.
One ghost boy was getting his items from his locker, thinking about the fact that he has another date with Katie.
"That's the last of it..."Danny thought as he put the last of his items away.
Good news, after the monster incident, Dash was so shook up that the school sent the arrogant and self-centered bully home early due to still being freaked out from that experience, so he didn't have to deal with him antagonizing him for the remainder of the day.
"Still...why was that monster after Dash?..."He thought before sighing. "I really wonder where it is right now..."He mumbled silently to himself.
However, as he closed the locker door, he saw Katie was there, smiling dreamily, much to his surprise.
"Katie? You startled me..."Danny said.
"Oh, sorry..."She apologized before linking her arms with his.
"Now, how about that ice cream..."She said and Danny nodded his head.
They walked out of the school together and Danny noticed more looks, he however noticed Mikey was trying to look away.
He knew why and could hardly blame him to be honest.
"I still can't believe he caught us in the closet..."Danny thought, as he recalled a rather embarrassing moment when Katie had him alone in the janitor's closet.
FLASHBACK
Earlier that day
In the closet
It was about two minutes after Katie promised to "hold back" and she was still making out with him.
"MUAH! MUAH!..."Katie let out as she continued giving Danny big, Teen rated kisses on the lips.
Once she pulled away, she giggled as she looked deeply into his eyes.
"I have you all to myself..."She said flirtatiously.
"Yes, you do..."Danny said before she went back to kissing him again.
"MUAH!
"MUAH!
"MUAH!
"Mmmmm..."Katie moaned deeply, as they continued to make out.
"Oh man, I never thought I'd be in this situation... and for this long either..."Danny thought as he was currently stuck locking lips with a pretty blonde girl.
However, he suddenly heard what sounded like keys and the door suddenly opened to reveal Mikey of all people.
"What the-..."Mikey let out and Danny and Katie pulled away.
"Mikey?!..."Danny exclaimed, blushing while Katie now had a glare, not that the ghost boy noticed.
Mikey, who is this weeks hall monitor and had come here to get some paper towels, was surprised to see to see the two teens together like this in the closet.
Katie was irritated by his presence.
"Um...excuse me...can we have some privacy?..."Katie said, not happy about the interruption.
A blushing Mikey snapped out of it.
"S-Sorry...I just came to g-get...p-paper towels..."The boy stammered, clearly embarrassed.
Katie frowned but just grabbed them and handed them to the nerdy boy.
"There, now can you leave us alone? We're busy..."Katie said as she had her arms around Danny again.
Mikey nodded and took the paper towels, so he could get out of this awkward situation as fast as he could.
"Sorry..."Mikey said as he ran out of the closet, slamming the door shut.
All the while, Danny felt pretty embarrassed to be caught like this.
"Please tell me that didn't just happen..."Danny said, flustered over being caught like that, even if it was by Mikey of all people.
"Forget about him..."Katie said before she got all cute again. "Now, where were we?..."She said as she continued kissing the poor boy.
Unknown to them, Mikey was now in the hall and away from the couple, but he still sent an incredulous look in the direction of the closet.
So, it IS true...I can't believe it..."Mikey said, almost in awe.
Nathan, who had been just passing by with some more nerds, overheard him.
"Huh? What do you mean?..."Nathan asked and Mikey wasted no time in spreading the information.
"You're never gonna believe this one.."Mikey said as he whispered what he just saw to his fellow nerds
It didn't take long before it spread to the other students too, who all shared the same amount of disbelief.
End Of Flashback
Present Time
The ghostly boy shook his head at that.
"I still can't believe Mikey of all people saw us like that..."Danny muttered.
"What was that, Sweetie?..."Katie asked.
"Nothing..."Danny said.
"So, let's go..."He said, since he wanted to do this before he had to go on patrol tonight.
The couple soon left, while a certain nerd saw him and couldn't stop himself from saying this.
"First Paulina...then Valerie and now the new girl...some guys get all the luck..."Mikey muttered as he left the school before the football team spotted him for his daily "nerd-wailing".
Later
It was after seven and Tucker was now waiting at the entrance of Fenton Works for Danny.
After the monster attack, there were no more major attacks but they still had to go on patrol...However, a certain ghost boy was running a little late.
Tucker knew that after school, Danny took Katie to get some ice cream but he had promised to meet here at 6 as planned.
"Where is he? Did something hold him up?..."Tucker thought, thinking of Skulker or Technus, or something like that.
He was about to make a call to check on his friend, only to see the ghostly boy appear in his human form and he looked...freaked out about something.
"Sorry I'm late, Tuck..."Danny said, still overwhelmed by something.
The tech geek was concern now.
"Dude, what happened? You look like something nuts just happened?..."Tucker asked and Danny flinched.
"Nothing bad happened...I just walked Katie back home and...I just said goodbye to her..."Danny said, recalling what he just experienced a little while ago.
Something Katie said that still surprised him to say the least.
FLASHBACK
Earlier that day
Danny was surprised by how clingy Katie has been since school let out.
They had gone to get ice cream and she ended up playing footsie with him...something that was a little unexpected but he wasn't against it.
However, it was after that that she started wanting to get...cozy again.
"Pucker up, Big Boy..."She said flirtatious before she lunged at him again.
And now, as she was once again kissing him goodbye after walking her home, which is becoming her habit.
'"Mmmm..."Kaite said as her foot popped as she played tonsil hockey with him.
"Mm..."Danny let as he was getting use to this.
After another 10 seconds, they parted.
"MUAH!..."
"Wow..."Katie let out in a dreamy way.
Danny had a dreamy look too but recovered sooner and realized that it was getting late.
"Well, this was great but I better get going..."Danny said as he remembered that he had to get ready for patrol with Tucker.
However, he didn't get two feet away before Katie grabbed him and pulled him back..
"Oh, Danny. I'm not done yet..."Katie said in a coy way before kissing him again.
Danny was a little taken back by these actions.
"More?!..."He thought as she kissed him again
After she pulled away, she had a dreamy look on her face as her arms were still around him in a vice grip.
"Uh...Katie...that was nice but I really need to go..."Danny said but she didn't let go yet.
If anything, she held on tighter..
"I love you..." Katie said, hearts around her head.
Danny almost jumped back in pure shock.
"I'm sorry... WHAT?!..." He went.
"I said... I love you..." She repeated.
Danny's jaw dropped.
"Uh... Katie? We just had our third date. Don't you think, I don't know, that's too soon?" He went, feeling nervous.
"Maybe... maybe not. I think this is just like the romantic comedies I loved watching since I was 12. There's no time limit to true love..." She gushed.
Danny blinked as his hormones stopped. Except for the biological chemicals for nervousness, the boy felt nothing else.
Still, hearing that, Danny gulped in shock.
You... really think that?..." He asks.
"Yeah... after all, I love those movies and wish I could live through every scenario... well except two clichés..." She went, losing her lovesick smile a moment to do some criticism. "First is the tired old two best friends since before puberty falling in love, because it's such a lazy attempt at making a couple..."
"Uh..." Danny went, not sure how to respond.
"Then there's the tired old third act misunderstanding where one person or the other mistakes their love interest is cheating on them... but aside from that, I'm absolutely in love with them..."She explained
That so?,,," He asks.
"Yup, without question..." Katie said before planting her lips on his again.
Once she pulled back, Danny was able to voice his own thoughts.
"I wouldn't really know I don't usually watch those kinds of movies, so I don't know..." Danny commented, still unnerved by what she just said...not that she noticed.
"I get it but it doesn't change how I feel...especially about you..." Katie told him before giving him one last kiss for the night.
End of Flashback
Present Time
That was what had happened and the ghost boy is still couldn't believe it.
"I still can't believe she said that..."Danny thought, not sure what to do.
He might not have the most dating experience compared to most guys at Casper High but even he knew that it was too soon for the L word.
Katie, on the other hand, didn't think it was too soon and said she loved him.
"Love?..."He thought before noticing Tucker was staring at him.
"Let's just go look around for that monster..."Danny said.
He'll figure out what he'll do with Katie later...right now, finding and getting rid of that monster is his top priority.
Meanwhile
With Katie
The blonde girl was now in her bed, sighing dreamily as she looked at a picture of her boyfriend which she had taken on their second date.
Today was her first day at Casper High and while she didn't care much for some of the jerks she will not mention, she was there with Danny and it was great to be with him.
Even better, she got to say that she loves him today.
Sure, maybe it was soon but she couldn't stop herself from saying it.
Danny didn't say it back but she knew that he is just really shy and according to what she has heard, probably isn't used to having a girl as pretty as her into him.
"He did seem pretty shy...maybe I went a little fast but I couldn't help myself...Oh Danny..."Katie sighed as she kissed his picture.
She hugged it and stared dreamily at the ceiling as she thought of her man while she is alone.
Her parents had taken Tinker to see some kiddie-movie and Katie was alone...Sure, they probably thought she was still out with Danny but whatever.
She was here alone at home, thinking about the boy she loves.
"Oh, Danny~..."Katie sighed as she sighed dreamily as she thought of her man. "I wonder if he's thinking of me too..."She thought as she giggled.
With Danny
The ghost boy WASN'T thinking about her, since while they were looking for the big monster, they ended up running into a bunch of ghost eels that seemed mad.
"Any chance you two know where a big green monster is?..."Danny said as he sent more blasts at them.
"GRR!..."The eels let out as they tried to attack him.
Danny dodged them and sent more blasts at the creatures. However, it was then that his cell phone began ringing.
"Oh man...now?..."He thought.
Thinking it was his parents or something, he quickly answered.
"Hello..."Danny said as he dodged an eel.
"Hey, you..."A flirty voice was heard and Danny sighed.
"Oh...Katie...hey..."Danny said, as he realized that she called him.
"So.. what are you doing?..."Katie asked while Danny had to dodge another eel before answering.
"Oh...not much..."Danny lied, as he dodged more eels.
So, you got time to talk?..."She asked.
Danny had sent several eels back and heard what she said.
"I... guess..."He said as Katie began asking clingy questions like where he is and what he's doing.
So, it was time to lie.
"Uh...nothing...I'm...just helping Tuckers parents move some furniture..." Danny said, making an excuse while some eels hissed at him.
"What was that noise I just heard?..."Katie's voice was heard and Danny flinched.
"Uh...the TV. Tucker just put on his favorite movie and there are a lot of action scenes ..."Danny lied quickly.
"Oh..."Katie said, seemingly buying it before she thought to herself. "Hey, wait...shouldn't you unplug a TV before you move it?..."She questioned and Danny gulped.
"Yes, we should but we're just moving it a little bit..."Danny said quickly.
He then noticed the ghost eels lunge at him and realized that he has to end this.
"Look Katie, I gotta go. Tuckers dad needs help..."Danny said
"Alright, I understand my Pookie Bear. Bye-bye..."Katie said and Danny blush.
"Bye..."He said before hanging up.
Once Katie was unable to hear him, he groaned loudly.
"Who knew having a girlfriend would be so... stressful..." He thought.
He put the phone away and decided to take his frustrations out on the eels.
15 minutes later
Danny captured the last of the eels, taking a deep breath in relief.
"Finally..." He thought, groaning when he saw what time it was on an electronic sign for a nearby bank.
It was almost curfew and he needed to get home before he gets in trouble.
"No monster, no chaos and Katie's asking for me. What else can happen?..."Danny thought in disbelief.
Unknown to the ghostly boy, three non-ghostly figures heard him and smirked.
"Oh, he has no idea how things can get..."One figure said, already knowing how this will play out.
"Should we tell him?..."The female asked but her brother shook his head.
"Nah, he'll figure it out...eventually..."The tallest one said.
"And just wait until he finds out..."The first one said.
"I can't wait to see their kids..."His sister said.
"I can't until our names are actually said..."The tallest one said before looking up ahead at those who are reading this.
"Leave a nice review folks..."They all said as they began laughing madly as they made plans.
Meanwhile
A certain fruit loop was in his underground lab, looking over some footage that his spy droids had sent him.
Footage of a new creature appearing and causing havoc all over town, one that is most definitely NOT a ghost, that's for sure.
"Hmmm...now what have we here?..."The fruit-loop said before an interested smirk formed on his ugly face.
