More Than You Think

(Sequel to Goodnight, Sensei)

When Sakura woke up the apartment was otherwise lifeless. The blanket was folded neatly and resting on the arm of the couch. A little disappointed and worried, she began making herself breakfast. She soon noticed that the window was open for some reason, she didn't recall opening it. 'Maybe Kakashi-sensei opened it.' She decided. 'Wonder where he went. Hope he's feeling better.'

"Good morning." She started and looked over at the window. Kakashi was crouched on the windowsill. She noticed that the blood and dirt was gone so she assumed that he had gone to wash and get a change of clothes. She nodded her permission and he let himself in. To her relief, he was looking more like himself today then he did yesterday.

"Feeling better Kakashi-sensei?" She asked hopefully.

"Well, I'm not attacking people on the streets... and Sakura? Thank you."

"For what? I didn't do anything." She exclaimed. Kakashi looked at her, his expression very serious.

"Actually, you did more than you think Sakura."

She wondered a little at this, it sounded innocent enough but for some reason... Suddenly he leaned forward and brushed her cheek with his masked lips. " I don't hear "goodnight" that often."

She pulled back, blushing. " I thought that you were asleep!" She remembered that she had kissed him and her blush deepened. " I... you're not angry are you? For the ki...

"Kiss?" Kakashi finished. " I wasn't expecting it. Nor did I expect you to even invite me over after I attacked you. You're just full of surprises aren't you?" (Yes he went off topic ) He scratched the side of his head absently. "But... no. I'm not angry. If I was, I wouldn't have returned it now would I have? I'm not that eccentric."

"Kakashi-sensei..."

"Could you... just once... just call me Kakashi? You haven't been my student for awhile. It doesn't really fit anymore."

He does have a point. ' I know that.' Sakura took a breath, she had been kind of holding it. " Kakashi... you do realise that people usually kiss when they... like each other, or are really close. I mean... do you..."

"Perhaps." Kakashi said, not being very specific. "It depends."

Sakura looked at him. "On what?"

"You."

"Me?" Sakura was a little confused but Kakashi didn't say anymore. 'Why does it depend on me?' Duh. Kakashi must like you but doesn't want to hurt you.

Realising that her inner self might be right, she blushed a little, and slowly reached up tracing the fabric that hid her former sensei's face from everyone. He blinked a little but smiled and made no move to stop her. Swallowing a little, she slowly pulled the material down and leaned forward brushing their lips together.

The kiss remained short but nice. Pulling back, Kakashi smiled at her to which she returned and leaned her head agaisnt his chest. She may have given up on Sasuke... but it seemed that there had been someone else right in front of her the whole time.

Thoughts people? I noticed that I leaned more toward Sakura then Kakashi, so maybe my next fanfic I'll try to focus on him more. Anyway, sorry it took some time for the sequel to come out. I had a lot of crap to deal with.
