Chapter 18: Crazy In Love Part 2
It was the next morning and school was still out due to it STILL being packed to the brim with pudding of all things. Danny Fenton was now in the lab, trying to find something that could help him out with locating and stopping that monster.
After that very, very awkward dinner between Katie and his parents, he needed to think about where this relationship is going, as well as find that lousy monster before it causes trouble again.
The ghost boy sighed as he began to look in the lab while there was a news report on television that he had little interest in due to no ghosts or monsters being involved in it.
"Police are still baffled by the mysterious pudding attack that befell Amity Park but good news is...clean up continues and students should be able to return to school in only a few days..."Tiffany Snow said in a cheerful way. "And in other news...the Amity Park Zoo is acquiring two new, endangered hippos and the police are still baffled by the mysterious cases of random singing in the evening in the alleys, as well as sudden increase in non-ghost related property damage, especially near the park or areas that for some reason...have large numbers of pigeons or squirrels...wait, what?..."Tiffany read the report but momentarily seemed surprised by what she just sent.
Danny raised a brow at this.
"Weird..."He thought as he turned the TV off and kept looking.
However, since his parents focus on GHOST hunting, he couldn't find anything that could help find it.
"I've got nothing that could knock that thing out..."He muttered, as he decided to take a quick walk to clear his head.
All the while, he was wishing he had something to vent out some of his inner frustrations.
Unfortunately, there's never a ghost around whenever he wants there to be and he is alone at home right now.
His parents had gone out to chase after Klemper of all people and Jazz went to go tutor one of her clients who was failing one of their classes, who also happens to be one of Dash's football buddies.
Speaking of the blonde jock/jerk, the ghost boy hasn't seen much of him in days.
"I'm just glad Dash is still hiding in his house to avoid that monster to mess with me..."Danny muttered.
He knew Dash was still shaken up from that monster experience and even when Danny had asked why the thing was after him, the jock, while scared out of his shorts, was even more confused than he was at the time
It really is really perplexing.
"Oh well...it'll show up sooner or later and when it does, I'll catch it and get some answers..."Danny said as he was still determined to find it and get some answers.
Like what is it, where it came from, why it's here in Amity Park and why it disappears so fast.
"If only I could figure out why it shows up..." Danny said to himself.
He realized that staying inside isn't going to of any help abd he decided that he might as well as get some air.
As he saw on his way out, the doorbell went off.
"Who could that be?..."He thought as he went to answer.
The second he did, he heard an enthusiastic "Hi" and found himself being embraced.
"KATIE?!..."Danny exclaimed at her sudden appearance.
"Hiya Cutie...did you miss me? Cause I missed you..."Katie said as she then began to kiss his face.
He froze up a moment before finally finding the strength to pull away.
"What? What are you doing here?..."He asked.
"Just wanted to say hi. Plus, I like I said...I missed you..."She said.
"You were here last night..." He pointed out.
"Still..."Katie said before she wrapped her arms around him tighter.
"Now, pucker up, Stud Muffin..."She purred before she went back to her affections.
Danny couldn't even get a word in between Katie's constant kissing and the very tight hug she's giving him.
"Oh man..."He thought as she lip-locked him for a good solid minute before releasing him.
Once she released him, they both panted heavily, blushing heavily.
"She really likes doing that, doesn't she?..."Danny thought as Katie giggled.
"I really like doing that with you..."She said flirtatiously.
"I can tell..."Danny said, since it was obvious.
Katie giggled before placing a kiss on his forehead, giving him a cute look after she was done.
"Anyway, this wasn't the only reason I'm here..."Katie said as she pulled out some tickets.
"What are those?..."Danny asked.
"Tickets to some place called Flushing Waters...my mom won some raffle and since she was busy today, she said we could use them..."Katie said, leaving out the fact that her mother had left to get some more home insurance, as a precaution.
"Another date?..."Danny thought in disbelief.
As much as he loves going to the water park, and he wasn't against the kissing...at least, not when it was the right time for it but there was something Danny had to get something off his chest first.
"Katie...can we talk?..."Danny asked.
"What is it, sweetheart?..."Katie asked and Danny tried not to make a face at that.
"Look...Katie, I know we are an item and the dates have been fun but we have been out practically every day this week..."Danny said.
"So?..."Katie asked, not getting it.
"It's just that I do have homework to catch up on...and my friends might start to think that I'm ditching them or something..."He said. "Plus, I really gotta keep searching for that stupid monster before it gets someone hurt..."He mentally added.
He turned to the blonde girl and tried to explain this as gently as possible.
"Maybe we can go to the water park some other time..."Danny said but Katie pouted.
"But the tickets are only good for today..."Katie whined. "Come on, Danny..."Katie said, trying to convince him to go today.
"Sorry, but I don't think today is a good time for me..."He said.
Katie pouted, until she got an idea and knew how to get him to see things her way...by sweetening the deal.
"Well, that's too bad because I got this new swimsuit for the occasion and I couldn't wait to break it in..."Katie said as Danny froze stiff as he heard that.
"I was really looking forward to showing you how I looked in that new little number..."Katie said in a faux dissapointed tone and smirked when she saw Danny's eyes widen at that.
"New little number..."He repeated, his teenage mind going into overdrive imagining Katie in a swimsuit.
Katie nodded.
"Are you sure you won't reconsider?..."She said as she gave him a slightly sad look on her face.
Danny felt a little conflicted here.
Okay, he is still had to find that monster but he is still a teenage boy and clingy or not, Katie is hot and seeing his hot blonde girlfriend in swimsuit is every teenage boy's dream.
"I really shouldn't...I mean...I-..."He thought as the blonde girl was fluttering her eyelashes again.
The ghost boy gave in before he nodded.
"Okay, I guess I could ask my friends to reschedule our meet up just one more time..."Danny said, his hormones taking control of his common sense.
Katie squealed.
"Oh goody..."Katie said as she pulled him in for another kiss on him.
Danny was left a stammering mess as he found himself going on yet another date with a very pretty and very persistent blonde girl.
An hour later
Danny had arrived at Flushing Waters with Katie, who wore a pink sundress over her swimsuit.
"Well, this is happening..."Danny thought, unable to believe that she got him here.
Danny realized that he might've been tricked into another date, but didn't feel too bad about it since he figured that could always look for that monster after it was over. Plus, he'll get to see his hot girlfriend in her newly bought swimsuit and that's something.
"This is gonna be fun..."Katie said as she showed the tickets to the guy at the counter, who let them in.
Danny saw that the park was packed with teenagers. Since school was still out, it seems that everyone was taking advantage of the unofficial time off school to goof off here.
"This place is crowded...oh well..."Danny said as they soon arrived to the change rooms.
Five minutes later, Danny came out and is now dressed in his blue swim trunks and white tank top and began applying his sun screen as he waited for Katie.
As he waited, he was beginning to have second thoughts about being here.
"What am I doing...I mean, I do have to find that monster and fast. Besides, this feels really rushed and we did have a date yesterday and-..."He thoughts were cut off when he heard someone coming out of the changing room.
"What do you think, Danny hon?..."Katie's perky voice was heard.
Danny turned around and his eyes shot up at the sight.
Katie was wearing a cute, white polka dotted blue swimsuit that showed off her figure just right and the ghost boy found himself blushing.
"Wow..."He said, feeling some hormones again and Katie giggled.
"Aw, you're so sweet..."Katie said before kissing his cheek.
She then took him by the arm and grinned.
"Come on, we got a lot of rides to try..."She said as she dragged him to the rides.
"I guess the monster can wait a little bit. Besides, it's not like it's going to show up around here, right?..."The ghost boy thought, easily distracted by her and also thinking that this might be fun.
Danny's phone started ringing and he saw that it was Tucker.
"Uh...one second Katie... I gotta take this..."Danny said as he took a few steps away to have a private conversation.
"Hello..."Danny said.
"Hey man, where are you?..."Tucker's voice said. "I came over to see if you wanted to search for the monster again but no one was home..."Tucker said.
"Oh...uh...sorry Tucker but...something popped up..."Danny said.
"Ghost trouble?..."Tucker asked.
"Not exactly..."Danny sighed. "Katie showed up and invited me to the water park..."He said.
"Dude, haven't you guys been out practically every day this week?..."Tucker said.
Danny sighed.
"I know but she insisted...look, I'll meet you when the park closes at 5 and then we can go searching...promise..."Danny said before hanging up.
Once he was done, Katie went to him.
"What was that all about?..."Katie asked, due to not hearing him.
"Oh...uh...Tucker wanted to hang but I told him that we were here..."Danny said, being vague.
Katie smiled.
"Good, now come on, Sweetie...we got a fun date head of us..."Katie said as she took him by the arm again.
Meanwhile
Valerie Gray, who had taken up another part time job at the water park, renting out stuff to the customers. Since she had no school today, she decided to come here since she had nothing else to do and her shift at the Nasty Burger didn't start until 4PM.
It was pretty slow though but hey, it's to save money for college.
"Well, this new job at Flushing Waters isn't so bad. I'm almost glad that school is out but still, it can't be any more dull..."Valerie said, bored out of her mind.
She just can't believe this week. On Monday, she had to be absent due to a dental appointment and then the school gets closed down due to a pudding attack of all things...most likely caused by some ghost.
"And I thought that ghost in dark blue overalls who's obsessed with boxes was lame but who uses pudding as a weapon?..."She thought with an eye roll.
First it was a ghost Dog, then a ghost lunch lady who's obsessed with meat, a ghost in pink footie pajamas who desperately wants friends then freezes them, a blue flame headed ghost rock star diva who uses mind control in her music and worst of is that Danny Phantom.
Valerie frowned hard when she thought about him.
"I'm still betting that he's the reason that all these other ghosts are even here in the first place..."She thought, still upset with ghosts causing trouble in her town.
However, Valerie soon spotted a familiar face approaching and smiled.
'Danny..."Valerie called out.
Danny stopped and saw her.
"Hey Val...what are you doing here?..."Danny asked.
"I decided to take up another part time job, renting stuff out..."Val said.
"So, what brings you here? Are Tucker and Sam around here too?..."Valerie asked, wondering if he was alone or not.
"Uh...well, I-..."Danny was cut off when a perky voice called out.
"Danny, I got us some ice cream..."Katie said as she carried some of the frozen snacks with her.
However, she stopped and her perky smile dropped when she saw Danny was talking to Valerie, while Valerie seemed surprised to see the blonde.
"Danny sweetie...who is this?..."Katie asked, trying to sound normal.
"Oh yeah. I guess you two haven't met yet..."Danny said, feeling awkward as he is technically introducing his new girlfriend to his old girlfriend.
"Uh...Katie...this is a good friend of my, Valerie...Valerie...this is Katie..."Danny said, still feeling awkward.
Katie frowned inside when she noticed how Danny spoke about Valerie or how the other girl looked at him. She didn't need to be a genius to figure out that these two had some history together.
"What's going on here?..."Katie thought as she grabbed onto Danny's arm and stood close to him, using her best fake smile.
"Hi Valerie, its always nice to meet any friend of BOYFRIEND..."She said faux sweetly and emphasizing the last word.
Valerie noticed and tried to keep a neutral face at that.
"Yeah, nice to meet you too Katie..." Valerie said with her arms crossed.
Sure, she let Danny go and she did want him to be happy, but it didn't mean she had to like the fact that he's dating again...or that the girl he is dating is clearly feeling jealous and trying to hide it.
Katie, however, just kept her fake smile and her arms around Danny.
"So...Valerie...how do you know Danny?..."Katie asked in a controlled voice.
"Known him for weeks before we started being friends..."Valerie replied.
"Weeks?..."Katie thought before turning to Danny with a sugary sweet smile.
"Anyway, Danny...we probably should get to our spot before the ice cream melts..."Katie said in a patient tone.
"Uh...sure..."Danny said before turning to Valerie. "It was nice talking to you, Val..."Danny said as he left with Katie.
Valerie saw them go and frowned.
"Someone's defensive..."Valerie muttered as she went back to work, deciding to let them be.
With the couple
Danny was taken back by how Katie was dragging him fast, like she was in a rush or something.
"Katie, what's the hurry? The ice cream will be fine..."Danny said, being clueless.
Katie sighed as she tried to keep a patient look.
"Uh...Danny...sweetums..."Katie began.
"What is it?..."Danny asked.
"Uh...well, who exactly was that?..."Katie asked, trying not to look jealous.
However, even Danny could tell that she was feeling territorial and he sighed.
"Valerie and I...well...she and I...sorta used to go out...for a while..."Danny said.
He had no way of knowing that despite the calm smile on her face, Katie felt a spike of jealousy and anger but tried to keep calm.
"Control...control..."Katie thought before keeping a supposedly calm look on her face.
"Oh...really..."The blonde girl said.
"Yeah, but that was months ago...she broke up with me and now we're just friends, honest..."Danny explained.
Katie seemed surprised to hear that.
"She broke up with you?..."She asked, surprised.
Danny didn't like remembering that but nodded.
"Yeah, it didn't work out but it's cool now and we've been friends since..."Danny said.
Katie was going to question it but saw his expression and despite her suspicions she figured it was something personal, she knew he was being sincere and...well, he's her boyfriend and Katie wanted to trust him.
Besides, he's been utterly wonderful as a boyfriend so far, so she had to take his word.
"Wow... sorry... didn't meant to reopen a wound..."Katie said before she took his hand.
"It's fine... I'm over it." He assured.
"Now, how about that ice cream..."She said, going back to her happy and perky self, while her boyfriend blinked at how her mood changed now.
Later
After the encounter with Valerie, the two teens enjoyed their ice cream and then continued with their date.
Danny and Katie went on a few of the slides such as the vomit vortex, the water slides, the rafting roller-coaster and even swam around in some of the pools together.
However, as they got out of the pool together, the blonde girl noticed that Danny's white shirt was soaking wet...and it was practically see-through now.
"Oh my..."Katie thought as she blushed deeply.
She saw that despite being on the thin side, she noticed how surprising toned her boyfriend's body was, now that he was completely soaked from head to toe, almost like a pro swimmer or bicyclist.
Danny didn't notice her staring as he used a towel to dry himself off.
"So, wanna go on the water slides again or what?..."Danny said but Katie wasn't listening as something inside her start to heat up as her mind began to wonder
"Oh wow, I totally scored..."Katie thought as she then went to him and continued eating the eye candy.
"Katie, what is it?..."Danny asked as she had a strange expression on her face now.
"Pookie Bear, would coming with me for a moment?..."Katie said, her tone being strangely neutral.
Danny blinked but nodded as Katie grabbed him by the hand and began to drag him someplace.
She looked around for a private spot and soon found one.
"So...this will work..."Katie said as she dragged Danny to a secluded spot behind the changing rooms.
"Katie, why did you drag me here to-..."He was cut off when the blonde girl lunged at him and pressed her lips against him.
"Oh, that's why..."Danny thought as Katie wrapped her arms around him and started making out.
Danny, still caught off guard but feeling attracted, kissed her back and wrapped his arms around her waist.
Katie noticed and moaned deeper into his mouth and deepened the kiss after a minute had passed by.
"Oh, Danny baby...give me some sugar..."Katie thought as their continued to kiss.
Unknown to the couple, Kwan and some of the jocks (minus Dash who was still home with "a cold") had been walking by and tried to find girls to flirt with and nerds to wail on.
"So...first the vomit vortex and then the pool to check out some hotties..."Dale said, as he was leader when Dash isn't around.
"Sounds good..."Kwan said and the other jocks agreed.
"Hey, what's that?..."Steve questioned as he pointed up ahead.
The jocks spotted something that didn't make sense to them. They spotted their usual punching bag, Danny Fenton, who was making out with the school's hot new girl, Katie Kaboom.
"No way, is that Fenton with the new girl?..."Kwan said, surprised to see this.
"I guess that geek Mikey wasn't lying..."Steve said, scratching the back of his head.
"You gotta be kiddin' me! First Paulina...then Valerie and now that babe..."Dale muttered as he couldn't believe what he was seeing.
The other jocks were flabbergasted...and maybe slightly impressed too.
Katie is really hot...maybe not at Paulina's level of beauty but she is definitely close and the fact that Fenton is the one making out with her for an unknown amount of time.
"Should we say or do something?..."Kwan asked, not out of malice but curiosity, since he figured Dash would have wanted to do something but he's not here.
The football players, however, saw a group of hot girls in swim suits walk pass them and that got their attention more, for obvious reasons.
'Oh, whatever. Forget those losers, Dash isn't here to order us around and were here to have fun. So Fenton's off the hook for now..."Dale said as he decided to go hit on some other babes and his fellow football players followed.
Sure, Katie is hot but she's chosen Fenton for some reason and there are plenty of other hotties in the water park for them to talk to, anyway.
With the couple
Katie was still deeply lip-locking Danny, who was now having some trouble breathing due to their making out session lasting longer than usual.
"Air...need...air..."Danny thought as he tried to pull away.
"Katie, I-..."He was silenced when she kissed him again and squeezing him tighter.
Danny was squirming as she finally parted and he took several breaths as she giggled.
"Sorry, got carried away..."Katie said upon parting before going back for more.
She then stared at him chest and her smile became more lustful, making Danny feel a little self-conscious as the blonde girl kept looking at him like that.
"You should've warned me about how good you look when you completely soaked to the bone or how fit your body is underneath your clothes..."She said flirtatiously before going back for more.
The ghost boy, now as red as a tomato, was sweating hard.
"It's like she's gotten more...lovesick...today..."Danny thought as he didn't know what to do but the blonde girl kept smooching him.
Once she pulled away due to needing oxygen, Danny, while panting, noticed the time on a nearby wall clock and his eyes widen.
"Oh man, it's that time already..."Danny thought as he realized that the park will be closing soon and he did promise Tucker to meet up.
Katie, who still had his arms around him, didn't notice as she kept looking into his eyes lovingly.
"Katie...the park is going to close soon and I did promise Tucker that I'd...hang with him today..."Danny said, remembering his excuse.
Katie pouted.
"But Danny, I'm still here with you..."She whined.
"She's done a complete 180 since we met..."Danny thought before staying firm.
"Katie...this is fun...really fun but I did make a promise...remember.."Danny said and Katie sighed.
"Fine...I guess we can leave in a moment...after one more kiss..."Katie said as she went back to doing so.
"She's never satisfied, is she?..."Danny thought as the lip-locking continued.
Later
The couple, now dried up and dressed in their casual clothes, had left the park as it was nearing closing time and Danny had wanted to go back home to figure out his monster problem and maybe so some research, just as he had planned.
However, Katie had other ideas...ideas that involved lips, tongues and her cute boyfriend.
They were still several blocks away from either of their houses when the blonde girl, being hormonal, pulled him into a nearby alley and began kissing him again.
"Mmm..."She let out as she held him tightly and smooched him deeply...again.
"Oh man..."Danny thought as he pulled away.
"Katie, I really-..."He was silence when Katie giggled and gave him an eskimo kiss now.
"I know Pookie-bear but I can't help myself..."She said as she kissed his cheek three times.
"I guess I should be glad she at least didn't put on more lipstick after we left the park..."He thought as she began kissing his other cheek.
However, that is when someone appeared to the scene and cleared their throat loudly.
The two teens pulled away from their lip-locking and Danny frowned hard when he saw it was Vlad.
"Oh, great. It's the Fruitloop, what does he want now?..."The ghost boy thought in annoyance as his foe walked in.
"Why, hello Daniel." Vlad greeted in a faux-cheerful tone.
"Vlad?!..."The ghost boy exclaimed, not happy to see him.
Before Danny could say anything else, Katie tilted her head quizzically at this new face.
"Danny, who is this?..."The blonde girl asked, her arm still around his.
"He's-..." Danny's cut off by his arch-foe before he could finish.
"I, my dear, am Mayor Vlad Masters, a longtime friend to the Fentons ever since Jack and Maddie's college days..." He said.
"He's the mayor?!..."She thought before straightening herself.
"Hello, Mr. Mayor. I'm Katie Kaboom, Danny's girlfriend..."Katie said politely to the authority figure.
Danny glared at the mayor from behind her while Vlad put on a fake smile and smug smirk.
"Girlfriend?..."Vlad said, as if this is new to him as he looked at her and then his young foe.
"I must say Daniel, she is a lovely young lady. Quite the surprise someone like her would notice someone like you. It's quite the intriguing development..."Vlad said in a false-nice tone.
Danny narrowed his eyes at that.
"Well, I guess I'm lucky and it's not like we all end up being bitter old, single, all alone and resentful with nothing to do but be a pain to everyone around him..."Danny said, just as passive aggressively.
Vlad did a fake laugh at that before narrowing his eyes. He calmed himself down mentally, as to not stoop down to this teenager's level of maturity...yet.
"Always with a quip at hand..."
Danny just faked a smile and silently stare down at his older nemesis with a glare, while his blonde girlfriend was completely lost on what was happening.
"Am I missing something here?..."Katie thought as her beau spoke up again.
"You know me, Vlad..."He said as he sent a faux friendly smile. "Anyway, my Dad's not here... I assume that's why you're here. He's with my Mom... y'know, his wife, somewhere you're not." Danny said with an icy tone, something Katie noticed.
"Oh, I know...I was just taking a leisurely stroll around my town and then spotted you two and thought to myself, "why not pop in see what this little badger is up to?..."Vlad said before laughing while Danny frowned harder.
"What's with the way they're talking to each other?..." Katie thought, curious at how it seemed like the two didn't really like each other.
"Still, it is nice to meet my newest citizen Miss...what did you say your name was again..."Vlad said, faking politeness.
"Katie Kaboom..."She answered.
"Kaboom?..."Vlad repeated.
"Yes, sir...Kaboom... please don't ask why my last name is a sound effect, cause I don't really know..."Katie said while Vlad put on his best fake smile.
Well, what a fascinating name for such a lovely young lady..."Vlad said as he resumed his false charm. "In any case, Welcome to Amity Park, the most haunted place on earth. Here, we are quite spirited..."Vlad said as he tries out his new slogan for new welcome billboard of Amity Park.
Neither teen laughed or cracked a smile in response, causing Mayor Masters to frown at another failed attempt.
"Hmm...Back to the drawing board for a new slogan..."Vlad thought in a bit of disappointment, then faked coughed to quickly change the subject.
"I see Daniel has a unique taste in partners..."Vlad said to Katie, who seemed weirded out by this but kept a polite smile on her face since she didn't want to be rude to the mayor.
Danny felt nauseated just hearing Vlad being within six inches of his girlfriend but him acting nice made him even more ready to lose his lunch.
"What's he up to?..."The ghost boy thought.
"Well... can we help you?..." Danny questioned, really wanting him gone.
Oh, before I forget. This this is for you and the rest of your family Miss Kaboom..."Vlad said, as he produced a floral housewarming gift for the girl. "I hope that this welcoming gift will bring to you and your family must joy and satisfaction... happy days blossoming soon..." The Mayor said with a smug smirk on his face.
Katie was a little off put with this sudden gift from this town's mayor and how he just worded about it.
"Okay, this is kinda weird..."She thought as she eyed the flowers. "Still...they are pretty and smell nice. Plus, they are a gift..."Katie thought.
"Thank you, Mr. Mayor. I'll let my parents know..."Katie said politely..
However, Danny was still wary about Vlad's intentions are with that gift.
"My ghost sense didn't go off, so that's not Undergrowth or anything. What's he want with Katie?..."He thought suspiciously.
"Perhaps the two of you should check to see how well they smell?..." Vlad suggested.
The flowers then got in Danny's face due to Katie placing them very close.
"What do you think? Smell nice?..." Katie asks.
The pollen got on Danny's chest as she shook it, not that she noticed.
"Uh... yeah..." Danny said, unsure while Vlad just kept smirking.
"Well, I must be off. It was nice meeting you Miss Kaboom...we must get to know each other..."Vlad said in a sinister way, already making plans for the future.
Danny watched his arch-enemy walk away and eyeing him to make sure he didn't pull any last minute tricks.
"He's up to something, I know it..."He thought, suspicious.
The ghost boy wanted to follow after the older half and see what he had in mind but Danny's arm was tugged hard by Katie.
He also saw a look in her eyes and it actually started to get nervous and he knew what it meant.
"Now that that's done, let's get back to what we were doing..." She said, eager to get back to their romance.
Danny recalled that she doesn't know about Vlad or his ghost side and also doesn't know how evil he is.
"Uh... Katie? I need to speak with Vlad." He said.
"He's a family friend, you can see him whenever. Right now, it's our time..." She said, not seeing how insistent he was being.
She also didn't really like that weird mayor guy, something about him creeped her out and she knew Danny didn't really care much for him.
Anyway, Katie tried to kiss him again but Danny placed his finger on her lips, stopping her and making her confused.
"Uh... it's important. Something... family related..." He lied.
Katie raised a brow at that before conceding.
"I guess that's a good reason." She let go.
Danny nodded as he was finally released by her and tried to catch up with his foe. However the fruitloop was long done but Danny then made an excuse to be alone in order to have some privacy and go ghost
"I better get out of here..." Danny thought as he tried to morph and slip away.
However, to his surprise, the ring fizzled out.
"Huh?..." He went, trying again, but the same thing happened.
"What?..."He let out.
"Something wrong, Danny?..." He heard Katie call out.
"Uh... no!..." He lied.
Something was indeed wrong, as he looked down at his hands.
"What's going on? I'm not morphing? Why?..."He thought in a panic.
It was then he noticed something on his skin. It appeared to be pollen. He thought back and realized the flowers he saw were Blood Blossoms.
They must have been old and wilted, which explains why he didn't recognize them or felt extreme pain but it definitely had to be them and now they are affecting his powers.
"Oh no..." He muttered.
