Goin' KABOOM!
Chapter 19: Crazy In Love Part 3
Previously
"I better get out of here..." Danny thought as he tried to morph and slip away.
However, to his surprise, the ring fizzled out.
"Huh?..." He went, trying again, but the same thing happened.
"What?..."He let out.
"Something wrong, Danny?..." He heard Katie call out.
"Uh... no!..." He lied.
Something was indeed wrong, as he looked down at his hands.
"What's going on? I'm not morphing? Why?..."He thought in a panic.
It was then he noticed something on his skin. It appeared to be pollen. He thought back and realized the flowers he saw were Blood Blossoms.
They must have been old and wilted, which explains why he didn't recognize them or felt extreme pain but it definitely had to be them and now they are affecting his powers.
"Oh no..." He muttered.
Present Time
While Danny was dealing with his...issue...his arch enemy was now in his limo, smirking as he watched everything from his video feed his spy bots sent him, all on his laptop.
"Let's see how your new paramour handles being with you on the front lines, Little badger..."Vlad thought smugly as he decided to make things interesting between his young foe and Miss Kaboom.
He tapped a button on his watch and got in contact with a specific someone.
"Everything is in place, now you're good to go..."Vlad said fiendishly as he began to give his orders.
"If I time this right, it'll be a nightmare for their relationship..."He laughed wickedly as he watched his plan unfold.
With Danny
The ghost boy could not believe this.
He couldn't morph into his ghost form and his arch-enemy got him like this.
"Seriously, Vlad?! Now of all times?!..."Danny thought in a panic.
No powers for who knows how long and who knows what kind of ghost would show up to cause trouble.
"No powers and Vlad is up to something...this can't get any worse..."The ghost boy thought as he walked out of the bathroom, wondering what else could happen.
However, he was immediately ensnared by Katie, reminding Danny of her presence.
"Uh... h-hi..."Danny stammered as the blonde girl who gave him a love-filled look that honestly was starting to unnerve him a bit.
"Now...where were we?..."Katie said, while the ghost boy gulped.
"Uh...well..."Danny was cut off when she placed her finger on his lips.
"Oh, I remember...we were kissing...let's get back to it..."She said as she planted a kiss on him.
A very deep kiss she hummed into.
As passionate as the kiss was, Danny couldn't focus too much on it as he felt a familiar small chill start come up inside him. As they pulled away to breath, Danny's ghost sense went off, which meant that he didn't loose all his powers...he just can't morph.
"Oh man, a ghost..."He thought as he tried to go and find a secluded place to transform but Katie pulled him back for more.
"This really isn't the time for this..." Danny thought, pulling away.
"Katie...just a sec...I really need to get going..."He said as he tried to slip out of Katie's grip but she just re-positioned her arms and held him even tighter.
"Please..."He let out while the blonde girl just kept holding him, thinking he is playing hard to get now.
"Oh, don't think you're getting away from me this time, my little Pookie bear..." Katie said in a cutesy sounding voice as she held Danny tighter and almost hurting his ribs.
"I am so sick of that name..."The ghost boy thought as she puckered her lips and not showing any signs of letting him go soon.
"We're just getting started, Stud Muffin. Now, hold still and pucker up..."She said, trying to kiss him again
"Kati-MMMM!..."Danny was cut off when Katie lip-locked him again, holding onto him tight.
"Come on Fenton, try to resist the hormones and focus!..."Danny thought as he even heard her moaning again as she slipped in some tongue too.
She even began to feel his CHEST of all things.
"Whoa! Stop..."Danny said only for her to giggle of all things.
"Don't be shy..."Katie whispered as she began to keep doing that.
"Why is this not as amazing as I hoped it'd be?..."Danny thought in a panic as he knew he had to leave to find a way to go ghost and fast.
He pulled away long enough to speak but he is still in her grasp.
"Katie, you don't-... mmmm!..." Danny was cut off again by her lips on his.
It seems that Katie is still feeling lovesick and isn't going to let him go until she's completely satisfied
"There had to be some way out of this but what?..."Danny thought, while trying to break away.
He needed Katie to understand there was something serious going on and they needed to get out of here before any ghost shows up to attack them.
However, he then heard the sounds of screams from several blocks away which means a ghost was attacking but Katie didn't seem to notice as she kept on playing tonsil hockey with him.
"A ghost, I've got to think of something and fast!..."He thought as he tried to think of a plan to escape this and go ghost.
To his relief, the ghost made his presence known. Dozens of people came running, panicked and scared of the weekly ghost causing some mayhem. With so many people running in terror, a few had bumped into the kissing couple, interrupting their make out session.
"What the-..."Katie said as this action distracted her from from her relentless kissing long enough for Danny to slip away, much to her surprise.
"Sorry Katie, I gotta go take care of something. I'll be right back..." Danny called, quickly running off he went to find the ghost.
Katie blinked, surprised by his departure before thinking that this must be a game.
"Oh...I see...My little Pookie Bear wants to play hard to get now, huh?...Well, I'm more than gamed..."Katie giggled as she followed him by skipping instead of running like the scared crowd around her that she hadn't even acknowledged.
However, Danny quickly hid in the boys room again and immediately began to wash off the blood blossom pollen.
"Come on, get off me!..."He thought as his ghost sense went off again, meaning the ghost is closer.
After a few minutes, he washed all the pollen off and wasted no time in morphing into his ghost form.
"Finally..."Danny said in relief as he changed forms and phased outside.
Once there, he finally saw who was causing trouble.
It was one of Vlad's lower minion ghost animals, a ghostly wolf that was now causing a rampage a block from where he and Katie were.
"Someone needs obedience training..."Danny said as he went to deal with the ghost.
Danny appeared before the ghost wolf, who noticed him.
"Alright Fido, sit..."Danny said while the ghost wolf snarled at him.
"Grr..."It let out before leaping at him.
Danny dodged it and began fighting with it.
With Vlad
The evil halfa watched the battle with amusement, even more when he saw how difficult it was for Danny to get away, both due to the blood blossom pollen...and Miss Kaboom.
He saw that she seemed relentless in keeping Danny's attention on her while he did this little prank on them...and Danny seemed to have had trouble refusing her until he got desperate.
"Hmm...perhaps that girl will be of some use to me, after all..."He thought, already making more plans for her.
Back with Danny
It was thankfully a short battle with minimal damage. Vlad's ghost wolf wasn't THAT much stronger than the other average ghost's Danny faces and the ghost boy eventually managed to get the upper hand.
"See ya, Fido..."The ghost boy quipped as he finally sucked the ghostly wolf into the thermos and clasp it shut.
With the ghost now gone, Danny sighed as he changed back to his human form.
"Finally, a moment to take a breather..."Danny said, glad that was over.
However, it was short-lived as another voice called to him.
"Oh, Danny..."Katie's voice called with longing.
The ghost boy felt a cold shiver run down his spine upon hearing the other thing he was hiding from.
A very cute but crazy blonde who was getting closer
"Why did I have to jinx myself like that?..."He said as he had ANOTHER situation to deal with here.
Namely a very, VERY attached blonde girlfriend who now appeared, searching for him.
"Danny?! Where are you, Pookie Bear?..." She asked, looking for him.
Unknown to her, the object of her desire was closer than she thought, though she couldn't see him. Danny stood leaning against the tree, hoping his invisibility is enough to get him out of this.
"Please leave... please leave... "He thought in desperation.
That's when it happened.
"AHH!..."
A cry was heard and, to Danny's surprise, Katie snapped out of her hunt for him, looking alarmed at what she heard.
"Tinker?..." She asked.
The girl rushed over to the source of the noise.
Danny was curious and since he was invisible, decided to follow. He then saw the source of the scream, it was Katie's little brother, Tinker. It looked like he'd fallen to the ground and was holding his knee, which has a scrap on it after the nasty fall.
"Oh man..."Danny thought in concern.
Before he could do anything, Katie immediately rushed over as she began to look over Tinker.
"What happened?..."She asked.
"I was trying to see the ghost attack happened, when it actually happened...I got scared and then I fell down and hurt my leg!..."Tinker explained before breaking into tears.
Katie sent him a sympathetic look before kneeling down. Sure, he can be annoying at times but he's still her brother.
"Let me see..."She said as she got a closer look, at his leg. "It's not broken, thank goodness..."She thought in relief.
"It doesn't look too bad, but let's get you home..."She said seriously.
Tinker almost seemed surprised by how serious Katie was acting and not EXPLODING right now like she usually does.
"What about your boyfriend? I thought you said you had a date today..."Tinker asked as he wiped one of his tears away.
Katie shook her head and remained firm.
"Danny can wait, now let's go..." She said as she helped him up.
Danny felt bad and also knew that he couldn't just ignore someone in trouble, especially not a kid who just got hurt like that.
"I got to help..."He sighed as he regained visibility and ran over there.
"Katie!..." Danny called as he arrived.
Katie looked happy to see him but also confused.
"Danny, where'd you go?..."She asked, confused.
Danny sweated a bit and quickly came up with something.
"I...I... I was going to the bathroom again..."Danny explained and it wasn't totally a lie, just he didn't go into the bathroom.
"I came back as soon as I was...you know...done and found that I had missed all the excitement..."He added.
Katie seemed to buy the excuse though as she just smiled.
"Okay...well, I'm glad your not hurt either..."She said as she then turned to her brother.
"Come on, let's get you home, Tinker..."She said and Danny was relieved she bought it.
"Here, let me help..." Danny offered.
Katie smiled and together, the two helped Tinker to his feet.
Danny offered the carry the kid for a while and Katie agreed as they took him home.
A little later
At the Kaboom home
Danny and Katie made it to her house. Since Katie's dad is still at work and her mom is at the store, they were alone, so they used the first aid kit on Tinker. Good news, there were no sprains or broken bones, just some bruisers and scrapes but they already covered that.
"There we go, nice and safe. You're going to be fine ..."Katie said in a gentle way as she put the last bandage on him.
"Thanks..."Tinker said as he got up, feeling better.
"Here, ice cream always cheers me up..."Danny said as he brought an ice cream that had been in the freezer, thinking the kid could use something after getting hurt.
Tinker smiled and took it.
"Thanks, Danny..."Tinker said as he happily ate it.
Danny smiled.
"No problem, kid..."He said.
Katie sent him a smile as hearts grew in her eyes. However, before she could say anything, Tinker tugged at her leg.
"He's nice..."He said, taking a bite out of his ice cream.
"Yes…he is..."Katie said as Danny rubbed the back of his head.
Danny noticed the stares and rubbed his head. He felt popular for a moment, but shoved those thoughts away as he looked at a clock nearby.
He wasn't checking the time, but stared to focus his thought. Specifically of how things unrolled.
"She might be a little crazy at times but still...she is a really good big sister..."He thought as his girlfriend turned to her brother again.
"Tinker, you go lay down in your room, I'll check on you later..." Katie promised.
"Okay, Katie..."Tinker said as he soon went to his room.
"It was nice meeting you, Tinker..."Danny said.
"You too, Danny.. Bye..."Tinker said before going upstairs.
"Nice kid..."Danny said.
"He is..."Katie said before she smiled at him.
Despite it all, Danny smiled back...only to remember there was still a monster loose somewhere and he needed to go as he had his ghostly duties to uphold.
"I should... get going. You should make sure your brother is okay..." He said.
"Good call..." She responded...before she got an idea that made her grin.
"Before you go , one last thing..."She said in a flirty way.
Before Danny could leave, Katie gave him another big kiss on the lips, much to his surprise.
"You'd think she'd get tired of this at some point, I wonder how many kisses this makes, I've already lost count..."He thought as the blonde girl smooched him again.
All he did know is that she's given him more kisses this pass week than he's had my entire life...which, to be honest, wasn't a lot to begin with but still, it wasn't something he'd ever thought he'd deal with.
Unknown to them, Tinker, who had been on his way to his room, saw the kiss and cringed hard.
"Eww, gross!..." Tinker said, sticking his tongue out before going into his room to rest and to NOT see that.
Danny didn't notice as Katie is still kissing him deeply and using her tongue again as she went from caring older sister to looney and loving girlfriend very fast.
"How does she manage to switch modes so fast?!..."He thought as the blonde girl stole another kiss before pulling away.
''It gets better every time...want another?..."Katie said and Danny gulped.
"I...I really should get going..."He said and Katie giggled.
"Okay, see you later Danny..."She said before kissing him one last time.
Once she finally released him, Danny wasted no time in leaving and once he was sure she couldn't see him, changed forms behind a trash can and took to the skies.
Danny wiped the kiss off his face as he flew fast, he did not need his folks to see his kiss covered face. He already dealt with their ribbing last night and with a monster out there, it was already difficult as it is.
"Okay... she's pretty... but also clingy... she likes me... but also invades my space... but she cares about her brother so... she's can't be all terrifying..." He admitted, still confused about this whole thing.
Before he could think about it anymore, his ghost sense went off and he suddenly heard the sounds of screaming. He turned around and saw a couple of giant ghost squids causing trouble and smashing cars.
Danny sighed.
"Fight ghosts now, deal with confusing girl problems later..."He muttered as he went to go deal with the ghosts
Later
Danny just came home, tired after dealing with both ghost attacks and his overly affectionate girlfriend who he can't seem to decide if he still feels the same way anymore.
"This isn't going as I hoped...I mean...Katie is nice and funny...pretty but she's also clingy and today, she could've lost her head..."He said, not wanting her to get hurt.
Katie was being clingy but her not knowing he's Danny Phantom is a huge risk. Besides, she could have gotten hurt again and likely not survive.
Danny knew that there is no going around it, there will be times where he'll need to slip away to go ghost, but he knew that she'd follow him and might get hurt.
Danny felt a new wave of guilt thinking about what happened to her when that monster had showed up at the school. He was just glad that she didn't get seriously hurt but what if she had?
Or what if he has to go ghost again and she will do what she did today and follow him around, thinking he was playing some sort of game or make her think he's cheating on her?
"I waited all puberty for a girlfriend and now it's a nightmare!..."He thought miserably.
He went to his room and soon was talking to Tucker, over what just happened today.
That he ran into a few ghosts and how they were causing trouble, as well as dealing with Vlad's schemes. He also mentioned how...clingy Katie has been acting and how it nearly exposed his secret and got in the way of his ghost fighting.
"Are you serious?..."Tucker said, jaw dropped.
"As a shark attack..."Danny muttered, still recalling how Katie seemed uninterested or just didn't notice the ghosts as she was more focused on him.
"She was so into you she barely noticed the danger?" Tucker asks.
"She barely noticed the world around her..."The ghost boy groaned.
He knows that Katie means well, and yeah, a part of him is still attracted to her but this is too much. She literally chased him and even tried to feel his chest of all things and even BEFORE the ghosts attacked, she seems more focused on making out with him than anything.
If this keeps up, he was either going to go crazy or Katie might try and get pass first base with him...possibly while he's trying to keep her safe from a more dangerous ghost attack
He groaned again.
I just don't know what am I going to do with Katie?..."Danny said as he knew he had to make a decision.
"Who's Katie?..."A new voice said.
Both boys turned and saw, there, at Danny's bedroom door entrance, it was...
"Sam?!..."Danny and Tucker both said, surprised as their friend was back.
