"Hehe, two caught in our trap." one of them said as the chains pull, pretty much slicing Helios and Kakashi into pieces…
Most of the ninja were shock as Sakura froze.
"You bastards!" Naruto said as one Mist ninja laughed.
"Sticks and stones brat. I suggest you all surrender."
"Sorry but we still have a mission to guard the builder here… everyone, protect the builder if he dies this mission is pretty much failed… Naruto, Sasuke, lets kick these guys asses." Emerald said as he walked forward and he held his right hand out with his tattoos on his right arm glowing and he growls as his eyes glow for a moment and many mists flowed from his arm to form a massive greatsword that he weilded with one hand and he rests it on his shoulder.
"Roger that." Naruto said.
"You took the words right out of my mouth." Sasuke said as Naruto summoned a shadow clone and told him to summon spiders.
The clone nods and with Naruto tossing the clone some blood to use that he had stored for moves like this, the clone moved near the ladies and the builder and starts to summon a number of spiders, however after a couple spiders were summoned the Mist Ninja start their attack to stop the clone from doing that and to try and kill the builder.
Naruto made sure to shoot a few webs to stop some of the mist ninjas's attacks as he brings out that chakra dagger he got from Tenten and activates it.
Once that happened, Naruto used it to attack one of the Ninja, even if this one tried to block with the Kunai, Naruto's attack pretty much sliced through the Kunai like butter and well… Sakura was shocked to see the man get bisected and Naruto didn't seem phased by that.
Emerald used a similar tactic when he used his gauntlet to block some hits from some Shuriken but he shockingly tossed his Sword at one of the ninja… pretty much dicing him into pieces from the waist and while shocking, the other ninja thought Emerald was defenseless and tried to attack him, Emerald however held his right hand out and when the tattoos glowed the sword flew back from where it landed and well… a Ninja was bisected down the middle from head to toe from the greatswords return trip and Emerald caught the demonic looking blade.
Sasuke used a few disposable weapons on his end to deal with one of the ninja, when one got close, he blocked an attack with his Katana he got from Naruto and Emerald but used a old Katana to stab the guy in the stomach and the blade broke off pretty much having a piece of metal stuck in the Ninja's gut.
As the Ninja jumped back in pain, Sasuke chuckles and held a hand towards the man.
"Die!" Sasuke growls as he snapped his fingers and the piece of metal in the ninja sparked and the Mist ninja screams as he was electrocuted from the inside out… leaving a charred corpse in his place and Sasuke, Emerald, and Naruto all look at the remaining Mist ninja who pale as they see four of their allies getting killed in no time while the clone summoned more spiders and well… a freaking spider army was around Tazuna with Kurama, Lillum, and Sakura near him… instead of feeling fear… Tazuna mentally chuckles at how protected he was now.
Naruto grins.
"If I were you I would run. Otherwise… I may have to feed you to my friends." He said as he points to the spiders his clone summoned.
The spiders all lick their mandibles as the mist Shinobi gulp before they throw up hands with a smoke ball in each hand and they threw them down, a moment later after the smoke cleared they vanished and Emerald sighs as he looks to one side of the forest.
"Alright, Sensei's you can come out of hiding now." Emerald said as Helios and Kakashi came out from behind a few trees.
"Ara ara… looks like we were found out about Kakashi." Helios said when she rubs the back of her head.
"So it would seem, Helios." Kakashi said as Sakura was shocked.
"B-But how?… we thought you two were ripped to shreds."
"Substitution Jutsu mixed with Genjutsu, many of us noticed that the puddles were a trap and stuff, so we figured they would gun for us first." Helios said with a smile on her face as she and Kakashi approached the group.
"So this is the fabled summoning of Spiders… hehehe… they are cuter than they look." Helios said when she pets one of the fierce looking spiders on the head and it blinks in confusion when it was referred to as cute.
"I will say not bad. Naruto, Sasuke and Emerald, you three handled those Mist ninjas very well." Kakashi said.
"Thanks, not our first kills so when we saw what happened, we moved to have Tazuna protected, thought something was off when you and Helios-sensei didn't do anything given your skills… test I bet for most of us, shame Sakura, Kurama, and Lillum couldn't show their stuff yet… may let them take next time if we get ambushed again while we guard the bridge builder." Emerald said with an amused tone to his voice.
"Indeed… still Mr. Tazuna…" Helios said as she got an eyesmile on her face but a similar feeling to Kagome appeared when Helios walked up to the bridge builder.
"Given things… an ambush by this many Ninja… unless they were attacking us to mug us, which I doubt… they most likely would have been targeting you… mind explaining since this kind of mission goes way above a simple C rank." Helios said while she emits some killing intent towards Tazuna while she cracks her knuckles a few times in a threatening way.
Tazuna paled before he quickly told everyone about the situation in his village which is being held hostage by a dictator named, Gato.
Naruto blinked a bit.
"Wait, I heard of him. He was rich for doing shady deals and what not."
"Indeed… and given what Tazuna said… I would say this mission would be B or A Rank at least, he has enough cash to hire pretty much gangs of Ninja… or hire some better help than those guys… even if you wanted to hire Ninja Mr. Tazuna, faking a mission ranking is a serious matter, one wrong move and you and the team you hired would have been killed, I sympathize with you, I really do, but unless we have a proper plan, do you really think we would continue after you tricked us?" Helios said when she felt bad but she didn't want to endanger the others and Tazuna panicked at this.
"Please, you have to help. My bridge is the only way to stop Gato." Tazuna said.
"But you still lied to us. We may have to go back to the village." Kakashi said but Naruto wasn't having it.
"I'm not going back."
"What?" Helios said as Emerald placed a hand on Naruto's shoulder.
"Let me handle this… Sensei's, you heard Tazuna, he can't afford much right now… however try and read between the lines… Sensei said so herself, Gato can hire many Ninja, that is true or even stronger ninja who can pose a threat, but thats the key factor here… Tazuna was grasping at straws more or less… instead of just pulling out and stuff, why don't we at least get Tazuna back to his home and decide on what to do there, besides you saw what three of the six of us can do to normal ninja… do you really think we would have issues in at least getting Tazuna back home?, not only that… think of this… instead of risking Tazuna's life by going back and stuff, we could make a deal… after we help him, not only will he apologize in person to the third when things are better here… but he would pay installments to make up for the trickery he did… besides you two did leave things to us more or less so why not let us finish things somewhat with a majority vote here, we have two teams of highly trained Ninja, if we fall back, how would a different team do when two Jonin get traded for one most likely and chances are, possibly lowered skilled Genin, gotta admit even if Tazuna does do things slowly, what are the odds of him even coming back with the payment needed when he would most likely be targeted thanks to us killing some of Gato's goons… besides Kakashi sensei… you say so yourself… those who break the rules are scum… but those who abandon their comrades are worse than scum… shouldn't the client count while on mission?" Emerald explained when he looks at Helios and Kakashi.
Kakashi blinks a bit before rubbing the back of his head.
"Hard to believe what I preach will bite me in the ass."
"Yeah but while that may get Team 7 to stick around if its their call… why should I let my precious students take this risk?" Helios said as Emerald gave her a half lidded look.
"And you really want me to explain why in detail?… remember we have myself, Kurama-chan, and Lillum… you think we're a normal team?" Emerald said when he gave his sensei Helios a deadpan expression.
Kakashi chuckled.
"He got you there Helios." He said.
Helios on her end blinks, pinched the bridge of her nose and lost her smiles.
"Fine… alright fine… if most of us agree here to continue… we will… however Tazuna, if we somehow manage to get things in the land of Wave's settled… we will have you pay for the cost of this unexpected rank increase… after you get you home back on its feet." Helios said before she gave the Bridge builder a kind smile at the end.
Tazuna sighs.
"I'll accept that." He said.
"Good… well if we have that matter settled lets at least get Tazuna to his home first and we can make a plan of action later." Helios said when she looks at the younger members of her team and team 7.
"Right!" most said though Sakura looked a little nervous… though Emerald looks at her.
"Don't worry, we will make sure you and everyone else comes back alive…. As Naruto would say that is a promise, Dattebayo!" Emerald said while he made a Naruto impression making Lillum giggle and Sasuke chuckle a bit as Kurama looks amused.
"Hey! That's my line!" Naruto said, making the rest chuckle more as Sakura felt a bit better.
"Got a trademark?, pretty sure unless you do, anyone can say it, Dattebayo." Emerald said to mess with Naruto a bit.
"Indeed… Dattebayo." Lillum said as Kurama laughed as the many spiders vanished and Naruto looked stunned when Lillum used his line now.
"Really Lillum?" Naruto said as Sasuke chuckled while Sakura giggled.
Everyone else chuckles and the group continued on their way down the path towards Tazuna's home and everything.
They had to take a few days to get to the Land of waves and had to be careful on the boat ride to the land itself, after they got to land and what not in the mist filled area, they were walking along the path while on guard since this was Gato's turf… however Naruto surprised many when he threw a shuriken in one bush which got everyone on guard.
However, coming out of the bush was a white rabbit.
Sakura went to hit Naruto on the head as she berates him for almost killing it.
However Lillum got a guarded look on her face.
"Hold on Sakura… something isn't right… that is a snow rabbit… it only has white fur in winter climates… someone raised this…" Lillum said while many look on guard.
Though Kakashi yelling for everyone to duck and causing everyone to jump to the ground on their fronts did get them to barely avoid something flying over their heads… a massive sword that Naruto recognized as a deadly man appeared as he lands on the blade that was embedded in a tree for a moment.
"Hmmm… nice senses to let your group avoid that." The man said as he looks at the group with a cold look in his eyes.
Kakashi narrows his eyes.
"Zabuza Momochi." He said making Naruto and Sasuke's eyes widened when they heard that name.
"N-No way. One of the seven swordsmen of the Mist." Naruto said.
"Hooo… didn't expect a brat to know about me, though one correction brat… I'm a rogue Ninja from the Hidden mist now... and I must say, those idiots who got killed didn't exaggurate the numbers here… didn't expect Copycat Kakashi and Light Goddess Helios to be here with the group though." Zabuza said as he looked at the group with cold calculating eyes.
Sasuke narrows his eyes.
"Let me guess… you're obviously hired by Gato to kill the bridge builder."
"Bingo… though you brats better not think I'm the only one hired by Gato to end him… I maybe the strongest here so guess that means I get Kakashi of the Sharingan eye… but Light Goddess Helios as well… however… when did I ever come alone." Zabuza said as he snapped his fingers and behind the group, two Ninja appeared however after jumping into the air, one of them, a goliath of a man with a freakish size, a massive helmet of his head, and a mace for his left hand or at least had his hand sealed in it appeared while the other was a more normal sized ninja who looked like a man with one Katana on his side while he had a mask that looked like it had a Dragon pattern on it… and both had a feeling like they shouldn't be underestimated.
"Let me introduce you… the massive goliath of a man may not have much to say, but he is called Bruno the Earth Titan and has a thing for Earth Jutsu despite being a former Mist Ninja… in terms of Durability and strength… far outclasses me and can take a hit even from bladed weapons… and the smaller one is Grigori, a man who loves to wield swords more than even I… when it comes to their skills… I would put them close to my level so I would watch out… I brought them in because of the number of… Dangerous enemies here." Zabuza said as he used his foot to jump from the tree to the ground to remove his sword when he grabbed it and he lands on the ground a moment later with the blade on his shoulder with Sakura, Lillum, and Naruto getting near the bridge builder to provide support though no one moved a muscle yet from a distance while Emerald, Sasuke moved to get in front of Grigori and Bruno while Kakashi and Helios were between the teams and Zabuza and all look at the threatening trio while Kurama cracks her knuckles to help whoever depending on the situation.
"Alright. Finally a challenge." Kurama said while grinning.
"Hmph… doubtful." Zabuza said as he jumped back onto a nearby lake and after making a hand sign and holding a hand above his head, he said this as Mist started to roll in.
"Ninja art: Hidden Mist Jutsu." Zabuza said as he, Grigori, and Bruno vanished from sight as the mist got thicker and thicker which made it nearly impossible to see the trio and almost impossible to make out anyone around them and only those next to one another could see others fully… AKA… many were practically near blinded by the mist now.
"Damn… I can't see through this fog." Naruto said.
"Everyone stay close to Tazuna. We can't let Zabuza or his henchmen get to him." Kakashi instructed.
"Hehe, Oh Kakashi, you should know me better than this, I'm a master of the Silent Kill technique… do you really think even guarded people have a chance against me?" Zabuza said as his voice seemed to echo around everyone for a moment.
Kakashi however used a large amount of Chakra to disrupt the mist around them and when the mist cleared enough for the group to see Kakashi… to some shock, AKA Sakura's, for some he had a Sharingan in one eye.
"No way." Sakura said as she thought Uchiha's were the only ones to get the Sharingan.
Though before many could say much, Helios used a few hand signs and after drawing some Skuriken, she threw them in the air.
"Light release: Homing spotlight." Helios said as light emitted from the Shuriken and a moment later after the light seemed to lock onto something, Shuriken launched from the air, three to be exact from where Helios threw them and Zabuza and Grigori jumped from their hiding places in the mist and well… Zabuza shocked many when he had to avoid an attack right as he was in between Naruto and Tazuna without getting seen… if it wasn't for Helios… Tazuna wouldn't be there… Bruno… well guy just tilts his helmet-covered head when a Shuriken bounced off his bare skin.
Some were shocked that Bruno didn't get hit as Naruto quickly pulls out his chakra dagger.
Emerald however held a hand to stop Naruto.
"Hold on Naruto… I'll take this guy… Sasuke… you take that Grigori guy…. Sensei's… take Zabuza… you two are the only ones who can take him right now and if we panic we won't win this… Naruto, back us up with summons and whatever else you can think of… same with you Lillum… Kurama back up whoever needs help the most… Sakura, observe the opponents, if you find a weakness, let us know." Emerald said with a serious look as he tossed his cloak off finally showing his Ninja gear, aside from the gauntlet being on his left arm, his right arm had a long sleeved shirt, a vest with many pockets for tools and weapons he would need like Shuriken or Kunai, and he had his storage scroll on his side, he had long cargo pants with many pockets and instead of shinobi sandals, he wore black combat boots.
The group did nod as Kakashi and Helios went to deal with Zabuza.
Naruto decided to summon a few clones and had them help summon his spiders after giving them some of his blood.
Sasuke looks at Grigori with a serious look as Sakura analyze things while protecting the bridge builder.
Everyone stayed silent as the opponents stared one another down as Lillum made a web prison around the three and Tazuna… if anyone tried to get close they would either get caught or let Lillum know of an approach this time.
Kurama kept her senses alert, she knew she had to focus this time because these guys were not the normal fighters… they were more like assassins and stuff…
As dew dropped from a leaf… and as it hits the ground… the fight starts with Kakashi using a few Shuriken to attack Zabuza while Helios made another set of homing Shuriken that would track Zabuza if he tried to vanish again.
Grigori got in a well guarded sword stance as he waits for Sasuke to move… pretty much causing Sasuke to do the same and if either moved, it would be game over more or less thanks to how intense their killing intent was…
Bruno on his end roars as he charges Emerald with shocking speed and he uses his mace-covered hand to slug Emerald and Emerald got launched away from the group as Bruno gave chase and Emerald only got away damage free when he used his gauntlet as a shield… thanks to that hit though he knew one thing… Bruno was truly a powerhouse… if he wasn't careful a hit could be fatal and if anyone else tried to take him… well Emerald was glad he was the one fighting him as he flew out of sight of the others, same with Bruno leaving Zabuza and Grigori with the groups.
After summoning enough spiders, Naruto and his clones, along with the summoned spiders, split so they can help both teams while he and his clones brought out their chakra blades.
However to many's shock, when the clones tried to attack the Swordsman, he got in a drawing stance and as the clones got close, they suddenly vanished as Grigiori's arm attacked with such speed that Sasuke could barely keep up with his eyes, and the Spiders meant to attack were hasitant to do so since unlike they clones, they were not resummonable in a life sense.
Zabuza chuckles when he saw this.
"Don't underestimate Grigori… I said so didn't I… his sword skills surpass my own… and when it comes to being outnumbered he has a technique he learned from a different land under his belt… he uses Chakra to speed up the power of his draw and well… he mimics a technique called En… anything that enters his circle will be cut to ribbons with his Draw technique mixed in with it…" Zabuza said as he looks amused while he looks back at Kakashi and Helios.
Naruto cursed.
"Damn… we gotta be careful Sasuke." He said before tries to shoot some webs at Grigori.
Though like with the clones, once the web came within a certain distance, they were sliced to ribbons in an instant when Grigori's chakra spiked and his arm vanished and he already has his sword in his sheath as he silently stares at Sasuke and Naruto.
"Naruto… keep an eye on Zabuza… I'll take this guy… not sure how tough he is but I doubt he can slice through solid steel." Sasuke said as he drew his own Katana and got ready to attack in some kind of dramatic stand off.
"Alright." Naruto said as he watched Zabuza's fight against Kakashi and Helios as Kurama was focusing on who needed help more.
"Kurama-Chan… go back Emerald up please!" Lillum said when she worried for Emerald, she knew she couldn't go after Emerald and not seeing him near got her worried… more so when distant bangs were heard in the distance.
"On it." Kurama said before she quickly went to assist Emerald as Sakura kept analyzing for any of the enemy team's weaknesses.
She did see something though… whenever the sheath of Grigiori's was used… it seemed to have some glowing seals on them and it looked like he was charging his attack… could it be?..
"S-Sasuke-Kun!, you got to attack now, this guy is hoping we hesitate!... look closely at his sheath!" Sakura said when she looks worried.
Sasuke blinks till he noticed Grigori's sheath and was shocked when he saw the glow before he quickly went to attack him.
However this results in Sasuke getting pushed back when he was forced to block a hit from Grigori, but when he looks at the sheath… it seemed to have lost the charge… did it fuel the force of the Katana he used?
This caused Sasuke to frown and when he attacked again, this time he wasn't knocked back as he and Grigori start to fight with various sword styles to try and one up one another, Sasuke couldn't risk getting knocked away and while it seems to be slow, Sasuke noticed Grigori still charging at attack with Chakra being funneled into his sheath… slow… but a deadly pace because Sasuke knew his Katana wouldn't survive a full power charge and had to try and make this fast.
While this happened Kurama ran towards where the sounds of a high power battle were coming from and when she got to where the sounds were strongest, she saw Emerald using various Jutsu's to see if Bruno had a weakness from a Fireball Jutsu that Grigori walked through and a water Dragon that Grigori punched through as he continues to rush Emerald, thankfully Emerald was able to block and even not get knocked back this time when he used Chakra to stick to the ground but Kurama could tell in terms of raw physical power Bruno outclassed Emerald by a mile.
Kurama quickly went to Emerald's side.
"Hey, need a hand?"
Emerald takes a moment to breathe after he jumps away from Bruno and lands near Kurama.
"Not unless you got an attack strong enough that can even damage this guy… pretty sure anything low level won't work so the stronger the better." Emerald said as he kept an eye on Bruno to make sure he didn't sucker punch him or Kurama while the giant man stayed silent as he looked at the duo.
Kurama narrows her eyes at Bruno.
"Oh I'll give him something good." She said before she starts to power up.
Bruno saw this and was surprised when Kurama's fox ears and tail appeared, seems Naruto gave her enough energy for two tails because she had a confident grin when she stood there as Demonic chakra gave her one hell of a demonic look right now and Emerald had to used an arm to shield himself from dust and debris that was kicked up from Kurama.
"Hehe, get ready big guy, you're about to deal with the legendary fox demon!" Kurama said before she charges at Bruno.
Though all Bruno did was get hit in the stomach while he did get forced back… to Kurama's shock the massive hulk of a man looks at her while he rubs some steam from the impact from his stomach to show he barely had a scratch on him shockingly enough.
'Shit! That was my strongest physical attack!' Kurama thought.
However, before Bruno could do anything, he got pelted by some webs.
This confused the massive man for a moment and when he looked over to see where the web came from, he saw three shadow clones of Naruto that came by to support Emerald and Kurama.
"The Calvery is here!" One of the clones said though they jolt when Bruno just used his hand to pull the webs off his body… though they did stick to his hand as a result which caused him to hum… thats when he charged Kurama and oddly grabbed her pretty much preventing her from moving and no matter how hard she struggles she couldn't get free… one thing to get from a grip… but now thanks to the webs on Bruno's hand, well… she was now technically glued for a time and Emerald gave the clones a half lidded look like he was saying thanks for helping… the enemy it seems.
"Oops." The first clone said.
"Boss will not be happy." The second clone said.
"Then we better go and save Kurama-chan!" The third clone said.
A moment later they charged Bruno and a comical glent from his helmet caused Kurama to pale when Bruno well… he used her as a weapon when he tried to swing Kurama at the clones and they had to dodge the hit with surprised looks as Kurama screams from the unexpected move and Emerald facepalms at how rediculous this situation was.
"Crap! Regroup!" The first clone said before they quickly got to Emerald.
Emerald however said this to the clones.
"Narutos… just a quick question first… do your memories go to the original as intended?" Emerald said when he approached the three clones.
The clones blinked.
"Uh… we're not sure." The third clone said.
"I see… my apologize in advance if this doesn't but…" Emerald said as he clocked one clone on the jaw making him poof away while Emerald quickly gut punched another and finally hit the last one where the sun doesn't shine since he saw that one fire the most webs earlier and as the last clone starts to poof away with a pained expression on his face, Emerald said this.
"Sorry but I have something I can't have you know about yet…" Emerald said before the clone poofed away and well…
Back with the others as Sasuke was fighting Grigori, and Kakashi and Helios were fighting Zabuza… though at this time Kakashi was in a water prison and Helios had to fight a couple clones while Naruto, worried about Kakashi shuddered when he got some imaged in his head… mainly about their clones causing the situation to get worse when they pretty much caused Kurama to be made into an impromptu weapon, Emerald knocking the clones out rather painfully and those cryptic words with the last clone.
"Oh man… I don't know what Emerald is doing but… Kurama-chan is gonna kill me." Naruto said.
As Lillum and Sakura look confused, the scene went back to Emerald as Bruno and a surprised Kurama see Emerald taking the clones out though Emerald gave Bruno a cold look that oddly unnerved him and even Kurama as well since this look reminded her of some Root operatives that she saw in the past and Emerald placed an arm on his gauntlet covered arm as it starts to glow with some seals being seen and they start to crack a bit.
"Kurama… what I'm about to do… please don't tell anyone about what you see yet… alright?" Emerald said as the gauntlet cracked a bit like it was opening and a black mist emits from the gauntlet.
Kurama was very confused but she wanted to get out of Bruno's sticky grip.
"Y-Yeah sure. I'll keep it quiet. Just get me out." She said.
"Alright… and I'm sorry…" Emerald oddly said as some kind of mist shot from Emerald's arm and pierced Kurama's heart… if she was normal she would have been dead and while she still had a shocked look, her body poofed away like a Shadow Clones and her demonic chakra flowed out of Bruno's grasp towards Naruto while Emerald was quiet as that odd mist turned out to be very different as the gauntlet opened more.
"Sorry big guy but… seems we will have to end this fight soon." Emerald said as Bruno felt a little worried since he never saw something like this… the red chakra from Kurama surprised him but it wasn't as… twisted as what this mist was that emitted from Emerald's sealed arm… no… on closer inspection it wasn't a mist… it was demonic chakra… but before more could be seen, the scene went from them to Naruto who blinked in shock when he felt Kurama's two tails of chakra enter him and he heard her voice just now.
"Son of a bitch! He killed me!" Kurama said.
"Kurama-chan, what happen?... Are you okay?" Naruto said with a concerned tone.
"Are you kidding me!?, Emerald just killed me!, granted doubt he could get me out of that Bruno guy's grip but for fucks sake after he did something funky with that left arm of his he killed me without hesitation!, summon a shadow clone for me to inhabit and this time three tails, I want to knock that Bruno fucker out and teach Emerald not to fuck with the nine tails!" Kurama growls out when she sounded pissed.
Naruto gulped at the anger.
"O-Okay. By the way, sorry about my clones and the… mess they made. Wanted to make sure you were okay and had back up."
"Oh just skipped the apologize and get me out of here!, I'll even get Kakashi freed to make up for any issues I caused being a freaking Kurama sword and stuff but right now I need to hit something badly!" Kurama growled out when she was not happy.
"Okay okay… But I'll make it up to you later after this." Naruto said before he quickly summoned a clone.
A moment later, three of Kurama's tails went to the Clone in chakra form and well… Zabuza and Grigori were shocked to see Kurama appear with three fox tails and a pair of fox ears on her head, a moment later in her anger she moved so fast that she knocked Grigori away from Sasuke and through some trees and she moved to kick Zabuza from the water prison which freed Kakashi and Kurama looks at Helios in anger.
"I'll leave these fuckers to you… try and not fuck up again… I got a fucking earth titan to knock down and a fucker named Emerald to fucking beat down after!" Kurama said before she vanished before anyone could stop her.
Though as Kurama left… as she got close to the battle between Bruno and Emerald… she heard a scream and was confused… more so when she got to the battlefield and she saw Bruno actually retreating and the guy looked like he was covered in wounds and blood as Emerald's gauntlet seals and he looks at Kurama with a regretful look.
"Sorry… Kura… ma…." Emerald said as he starts to fall to the ground after his gauntlet sealed itself so Kurama had no idea what was under the seal Emerald had.
"Emerald!" Kurama said as she quickly gets to Emerald's body.
Though when she got to him, he had passed out and well… when she felt his forehead when he looked strained, she felt Emerald burning up with an intense fever.
"Damn… he's burning up. Gotta do something quick." Kurama said.
She picked Emerald up and starts to carry him back, however when she got back to the others, she noticed that Kakashi was down and was being carried by Naruto while Zabuza and Grigori were missing, Sasuke and Helios had an eye out while they defended the group.
"Hey where are those two fuckers?" Kurama said when she made herself known and they noticed the state Emerald was in when she was in Kurama's arms.
Lillum and Sakura look towards Kurama before Lillum immediately went to her after seeing Emerald.
"What happened to him?!"
"No clue, I went to help him but before I could do anything, I found that Bruno fucker running and his gauntlet sealing itself before I could see anything… after that he passed out and here I am… where are Zabuza and Grigori?" Kurama asked while she was filled in… after Kurama left, Kakashi beat Zabuza with some water dragon stand off and other stuff… a new ninja came in and supposedly killed Zabuza and Grigori got Zabuza's body and left the area though Helios thinks that the ninja supposed to hunt Zabuza was actually on his side and while it would take awhile for him to recover if he was put in a near death state, Zabuza would be back and if his allies, plus the new ninja wearing the blank mask, well… things just got more intense.
"Huh… so he wasn't so skilled after I left huh?, bet my attack really got him good." Kurama said as Helios shook her head.
"No… while its true he did slow down, his skills were so much that it took Kakashi overusing the Sharingan and me nearly running out of chakra to get him… one on one we would have had serious issues… and if we had issues… think of how the others would have lasted, Emerald may have put up the biggest fight given he can use a sword like Zabuza, same with Sasuke, but his sword may not last long… not even sure how long Naruto can last in a full on fight with his chakra sword but one thing was clear… we're at a disadvantage because were more or less on Mist Ninja turf… unless we train hard for Zabuza and his groups return, we won't last long." Helios said with a rare worried look on her face… more so when she looks at Kakashi and Emerald who were both out after going so far to just force away the enemy on their ends.
Kurama sighs.
"Fuck… seems this Gato guy is more trouble than we thought."
"Yeah… anyway Tazuna… your home should be near here right?... please lead us there, we need to get Emerald and Kakazhi serious rest, as for everyone else… we need to come up with some sort of plan… Sakura, this may be your time to shine since you watched the fights, pretty sure someone with your smarts already came up with a couple plans we can train for, you found out how Grigori was making such strong attacks so not too hard to see if you had other plans." Helios said when she smiled at Sakura after looking at Tazuna.
Sakura jolts.
"W-Well, when I watched Sasuke-kun's fight with Grigori, I noticed how Grigori's sheath had glowing seals on it and he would use it to charge his katana. So I'm thinking we should work on our speed so Grigori wouldn't have time to use it."
"Well… thats easier said than done… anything else Sakura-chan." Helios said as Sakura looks thoughtful.
"Well… sword styles aside I don't think Grigori's weapon is just a simple Katana to be used like that… did you notice anything when you fought him Sasuke-kun?" Sakura said as Sasuke was reminded of during his fight, even if it was slow, Grigori's chakra was still getting absorbed by the sheathe.
"Yes I have. Grigori may have been slow with charging but I noticed his chakra gets absorbed by the sheathe each time. Like he was storing it or something." Sasuke said.
"Hmmm… well I have a few theories but maybe he was either absorbing the attack you were sending his way and was using it as a substitute for his own chakra… he was charging his sheath to use for a quick draw attack… or maybe he has more techniques than we know of and he was getting ready to use if it Kurama didn't knock him away… what about that Bruno guy Kurama?, you went to Emerald twice, did you do anything the first time before you had to be resummoned and stuff?... did anything you do harm Bruno?" Sakura said when she looks really thoughtful now.
Kurama sighs.
"Sadly… no. Even when I used two tails of chakra, I barely made a scratch."
"I see… either he has a Jutsu for a defensive barrier so dense that it can even block a full power hit from a two tailed you… I'm guessing aside from improversation, he didn't use many Jutsu's and just used physical skills…. How was his speed?" Sakura asked since even if Bruno was a hulking titan, wouldn't matter if he couldn't hit someone.
"Well earlier I saw how fucking fast Bruno was when he fought Emerald. Emerald had a bit of trouble keeping up." Kurama said.
"I see… so two highly skilled Taijutsu users who have unknown Jutsus to use with one barely taking any damage at all from Kurama and we have Zabuza Momochi a former seven swordsman of the mist after us and now we have a possible unknown fourth maybe on Zabuza's side… Naruto you just had to get us in a situation like this by complaining about D rank missions did you!?" Sakura said when she gripped Naruto on the shirt and shook him a bit with many sweatdropping at the sight when Sakura shook him with such force that he couldn't fight back at all to get free.
Lillum tries to calm the situation.
"Sakura, you can be mad at Naruto but you forget that Tazuna was the one that lied to us."
Sakura however glared at Lillum with a comical glare making Lillum jolt.
"Yeah… and thats just it… if Tazuna hired an unprepared team they would be worse than dead because lets face it… even if I survive and train my fucking ass off, I'm still surrounded by monsters and people who have abnormal skills in battle… no offense to any with that monster comment… but it's thanks to Naruto complaining that we were given that mission in the first place, client lying or not!…. You hear that Naruto… if I die I can garuntee I'll haunt your ass until you die and everything!" Sakura growls out as she looks at the dazed but fearful Naruto when Sakura was really venting and stuff while Helios chuckles while she scratches her cheek… compared to Sakura, most here were monsters… pretty sure Sakura was in a lot of shock right now.
Sasuke sighs.
"Enough Sakura. I think he gets it."
Sakura lets Naruto go after that while he laid on the ground in a daze.
"Sorry… its just… this is my first C-rank… or at least it was suppose to be… how would I know I would get in this kind of mess?" Sakura said while she facepalms at how ridiculous this got.
"Look, no one's prepared for this. That's the thing of being a ninja. Anyhow, we can talk about this later since we still have to get the Tazuna's house so we can help Kakashi-sensei and Emerald." Sasuke said.
"Right… still you gotta admit… Zabuza Momochi… his goons… these attacks… and a unexpected rank up… you gotta admit for a first time mission out of Konoha its really not looking good." Sakura said as she looks at Tazuna.
"So… Mr. Tazuna… please… lead us to your home… despite my looks I am trained as a Kunoichi so unless you want to waste time… lets triple time it shall we?" Sakura asked with a scary smile on her face as she cracked her knuckles a few times.
Tazuna jolts at the look.
"R-Right." He said before having this thought.
'Her 'smile'… is exactly like Tsunami's smile.' He thought before shuddering which shows that he was remembering something.
Though what that thought was about was a mystery when Tazuna starts to lead the group away, Emerald and Kakashi were knocked out for now which left the rest of the team on guard and the scene fades to black on the battlefield where things took place.
