The moment he stepped into her personal space, all coherent speech and rational thought left her mind. The only thing she could focus on was that smirk on his lips and that glint in his eyes. How John Sheppard could reduce a diplomat/expedition leader to such a state was a question she would have to ask him later, because right now she was too caught up in the tingling feelings he sent through her body as he made feathery brushstrokes across her cheek.
His fingers went from caressing her warmed cheek to skimming lightly over her red lips. It drove her insane the way he dragged this moment on for so long. As if aware of her thoughts, John's smirk grew into a full-on grin. He was teasing her. She knew it, and while she hated the prolonged foreplay, she loved it all the same. That was Sheppard for you, make a girl's head spin around so much she didn't quite know where she stood on anything.
That's when she realized enough was enough. If John wasn't going to do something soon, she would be more than willing to give him a demonstration. And demonstrate she did.
With one step Elizabeth fully closed the gap between them, placing a kiss first on his cheek, then on his jaw, and when she knew John was completely entranced she gently laid one upon his lips. Her fingers were, all the while, tracing a path from his back, to his shoulders, until they met at his neck.
This embrace eventually dissolved, leaving one smirking diplomat/expedition leader and one smitten John Sheppard.
"How did you do that?" were the first words out of John's mouth.
"Do what?"
"One second I'm in control, and all of a sudden..."
"Let's just say our relationship has always been a struggle for control."
"You don't think that's a little unhealthy?"
"It probably is, but we have plenty of time to work on it. As of now though..."
"Yeah?"
"I win this round. That makes the score what 5-2?"
