Chapter 30: Dinner with the Kabooms: Home Alone
"Ugh... what happened?..." Danny asked, waking to see nothing but darkness.
The ghost boy reached out to see if anything was hidden, but caught nothing but air. It was odd.
''Even for my life, this is bizarre..."He muttered as he looked around.
Suddenly, the ground then shook violently in rhythm, and that's when he heard footsteps... loud, thunderous footsteps.
Then a roar.
"ROOOOOAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRR!..."
"What the heck was that?!..."Danny exclaimed.
Looking knot the darkness, a faint outline could be seen. It was large, hideous, and scarier than any ghost the boy had seen. All signs of trouble.
"I'm goin' gh-..." He's then hit in the back by something.
"W-WHAT?!..." He called out as he's shocked and forced to human form.
After patting himself down, the ghost boy looked up to see Vlad hovering over him. The older halfa was holding his Plasmius Maximus, a device for short circuiting ghost powers.
"Now now... don't want to be overdressed, don't you?..." Vlad asks.
"What are-..."Danny tried but his foe just laughed wickedly.
"I hope you name your son after me!..." Vlad said as he disappeared.
"What is he talking about?..."He questioned.
The ghost boy had more questions, but the footsteps were getting louder, flipping the boy off the ground from the force of each step. A giant foot stopped mere centimeters away from the boy's face. Danny looked up to see the monstrosity, leaning down, staring down on him with crimson blood red eyes.
He realized what, or more accurately who, this was
"No... please no..." He begged.
To his surprise, the monster didn't attack. No, instead it recognized him.
"Danny..."The monster's gruff voice said before it started to sound nicer... although, whether or not it was nice depended on who heard it.
"Please no..." Danny begged one more time but to no avail.
Soon, the monster in the dark shrank to a familiar form...and an arguably more TERRIFYING form.
The form of a blonde, lovesick girl who smiled at Danny. The form of a clingy girlfriend that he wants to be rid of.
"DANNY!..." Katie went, lunging at the boy.
"KATIE!..."Danny exclaimed, scared and confused as she clung to him.
The blonde girl wrapped her arms around him like elongated the rope, pulling him in.
"You missed French lessons! Oh well, guess I'll have to show you what you missed..." The girl leaned down with puckering lips, said lips seemed to be moving as fast as a hummingbird's wings.
The ghost boy gasped and shut his eyes tight as he felt his face getting peppered with kisses, feeling his face getting wet.
"No! No more! Please! I've had enough!..." He pleaded but she didn't stop.
She was too into what she was doing to listen and she was too strong for him to break free from her grasp. He wanted use his powers to break away with intangibility and want to escape but thanks to Vlad's interference, he couldn't get away from her.
He can't even get a word in edgewise anymore with how she was occupying his mouth against his will.
He was stuck with her!
"Kiss me, Baby!..."Katie purred as she continued her amorous assault.
"Why me?!..."Danny thought in dread as he was trapped with her with no escape!
In reality
With a loud gasp, Danny sat up, sweating.
"A dream? A nightmare?..." He thought, gasping for air.
Danny didn't know how long he had been out for, once he started to wake up.
"Mmm...what happened? What time is it?..."He muttered as he came to.
The ghost boy looked around to see if it was still morning, but had something or someone else instead.
"Hey there, sleepy head. Are you okay? Did I wake you?..."Katie asked as she appeared next to and Danny was completely shocked.
"K-Katie!..."Danny exclaimed, surprised and a little scared that she was here...especially given recent discoveries.
"Sorry, didn't mean to startle you..."Katie said in a soft and gentle tone as she moved some of his hair out of his face.
"Where am I?..."Danny asked, feeling nervous right now as he looked around.
"Well long story short, after you fainted, I brought you here to my house..."Katie said as she handed him a glass of water, thinking he needed some given how weak he suddenly got.
"She brought to her house?!..."Danny thought as he was still befuddled with this situation.
He reluctantly took a sip of the water and placed the glass on a nearby coffee table as some concerning thoughts raced through his head.
Why the heck was he in Katie's living room and why didn't she just bring him to her own house instead of his own?
However, he got no answer as he cute blonde had brought him more water to drink. She sent him an overly concerned look
"Katie?..." Danny asked.
"Are you okay? How are you feeling?..."Katie asked, looking worried.
Danny was taken aback from Katie's less emotional lovey dovey behavior and wasn't too sure how to respond, until he spoke the first thing he thought of.
"Uh, yeah...sorry about that..."Danny said.
"What happened exactly? I looked for you when you took off and I found you out cold and looking like someone dropped you from 2 stories up..."She said, not knowing how true that statement was.
"I...was really light headed..."Danny lied. "But I'm fine now..."He said, trying mostly the truth that time.
"You sure?..."Katie asked, looking like she didn't believe him.
It somewhat surprised Danny but he realized it probably shouldn't. Since she sees herself as his girlfriend and would be a little concerned about his well-being, especially since she found him unconscious...so that checks out.
"Yeah, I'm sure. Look, see...I really am okay now..."He said, showing he can move his arms up and down.
Okay, it was kinda a lie since he still doesn't have his powers and still feels roughed up from what Vlad did but he didn't want her to know that.
Thankfully, she bought it. Katie, being none the wiser, smiled and let her breath out.
"That's a relief, you had me scared there for awhile..."Katie said, relieved that the ghost boy was alright.
"How long was I out?..."He asked.
"About 10 minutes? I used my first aid kit and tried mouth to mouth. I even put some band-aids on your head. I was about to call someone when you woke up..."She said, gesturing to the nearby emergency kit and her phone.
Danny saw this and blinked. He saw her expression and realized how serious she was.
"When she's like this...she almost seems like a normal girl..."He thought, until a memory of her monster form flashed in his head a second later, reminded him otherwise.
"Except for one crucial detail but I gotta remember she doesn't seem to know about her other half..."He thought.
"Well... here, have some water..." Katie offered.
"Thanks..." Danny said, slowly sipping as he noticed the gentle expression on her face and how confusing it is.
He still remembered her monster half and there is still A LOT about her that terrifies him...but when she's like this...he can actually see her humanity, underneath the monster.
Danny thought back to the last few weeks of his life since he met her.
They were the wildest, craziest, downright most disturbing time of his life...and yet there were moments that he did enjoy himself...before he learned of her powers, that is.
Okay, while her monster form is terrifying and he can't fight it the same way he fights ghosts...Katie isn't in that form right now.
Right now, she is just that blonde girl who he met at the park and who also is dating him. Sure, her hormones are a major issue and she is really clingy...super clingy...but she has shown that she does care about him.
She stood up to Dash for him on their second date, she stuck by him even when she found out he was unpopular and she didn't make fun of him just because his parents are ghost hunters with wacky personalities.
She genuinely cared for him and accepted him.
"She's behaving a lot less obsessive, that's a good sign..."He thought.
Now that he wasn't worrying about provoking her...or suffocating from her kisses, he took the time to think back and recall how her monster form saw him as Danny Fenton.
"Come to think of it, even her monster form stopped attacking when it saw me, like she recognized me...she even smiled..."He thought as the blonde girl pressing some ice on his head in a bag.
The boy looked at her and felt a little guilty right now for some reason...maybe for assuming certain things.
If there is one thing that he knew, it's that she DOES like him...so...maybe she'd listen if he explains everything.
If she knew what was really going on, maybe she'd tone it down...she might even stop all together if she knew how intense she can be.
"Maybe I was overreacting or something...she might listen and this technically isn't the first time I had to talk down a girl with anger problems..."He thought, going over the options.
He didn't want to do Tucker's suggestion of just running away and overshadowing her didn't work...maybe, just maybe, he can try and reason her...get her to understand what is going on.
It might sound like a long shot, but it was definitely worth a try at least. It has to be better than just putting up with this toxic, so-called relationship or running away.
"It's worth a shot..."He thought as he took a deep breath and tried being honest with her this time around.
"Um...Katie..."Danny said with a nervous tone in his voice, looking her in the eye..
"Hmm...what is it, Danny?..."She asked as she had examined him for any other wounds.
Danny looked at her and took another deep breath.
"Here goes everything..."He thought as he prepared himself.
"There's something I really need to tell you..."He said, sitting up straight.
"What is it?..."She asked, giving him her full attention.
"No turning back now..."Danny thought as he continued.
"Katie...look...we have been going out for a while now..."Danny began.
"About two weeks by my count..."Katie said happily.
"Right..."Danny said, steeling himself for what comes next. "Well, there's something that I need to tell you...it's really important...and kinda crazy but I need you to listen..."He said.
He was about to speak, to tell her everything that's happened before she raised her hand.
"Danny, I think I know what you are trying to say..."Katie said, looking also serious.
"You do?!..."Danny asked hesitantly.
At first, it seemed she knew about her other half, then what she said proved that wasn't true when she said something completely out of left field.
"Yeah, I love you, too. You already know that..."Katie said, looking really happy right now.
Danny's eyes widen at that.
"SHE THINKS I WAS TRYING TO SAY "I LOVE HER"?!..."He thought in disbelief as the blonde girl misunderstood his intentions again.
Before he could say anything, she hugged him and nuzzled her cheek on his.
"Katie, please listen...I'm trying to tell you that-..ACK!..."Danny begged but the lovesick blonde girl interrupted him with an overly affectionate embrace and hugged him even tighter.
"Too tight, can't breathe!..."Danny thought in a panic as she kept squeezing the life out of him.
"Kat-..."He tried but she hasn't let him go yet as she interrupted him with a kiss this time.
"Aww crud!..."Danny thought in a panic as she pressed harder. "Mmm!..."He tried but she kept pressing hard until finally pulling away.
"K-Katie...please...I am trying to tell you that-..."He tried but she squealed in excitement, giddy over something.
"I know, I already got it. I got the lovely gift that you bought me! The delivery guy brought them a few minutes before you woke up. I just wanted to wait until I was sure you were okay before thank you for it!..."She said, looking happy
"My gift?!..."Danny exclaimed as he had a feeling this was Vlad's doing.
"I'm not sure how you can afford $300 necklace, but I love it! It's so beautiful and the beautiful letter you wrote was the loveliest thing I've read, Pookie-Bear..."She said as she revealed it, not seeing the look of dread on his face as she bopped him on the nose.
"L-Letter?!..."Danny repeated, hating this.
Katie looked giddy and she pulled out the (forged) letter.
"It's kinda corny and over-dramatic but so sweet, I love it so much..."Katie said in a perky tone as she opened it
Danny gulped and felt his face wet with sweat as the blonde girl held the letter in her hands.
"If I ever get Vlad into a thermos, I'm tossing it in the Arctic!..." He thought as Katie began reading the fake love letter.
"My dearest Katie... since the moment I gazed my eyes on thine angelic appearance, my dull life became much brighter. Like a pair of comfy socks, we fit perfectly together as we are so close. Every second without you is a second I feel nothing but depression and mediocrity. The moment I lay eyes on you is the moment I feel... complete. I only hope you love me as much as I love you~..." She read before hugging the letter.
"Does she really think I talk like that?!..." He thought in disbelief while making mental plans to get double the payback on his foe.
"You... actually liked it?..." He asked in disbelief while Katie nodded.
"Yeah, it's the so sweet of you to write me this love note...I really do love how spontaneous you can be. You're so romantic, like when we were still just starting out..."She said, being reminded of the last time Danny had been spontaneous and bold with her.
Such as the first time Danny had initiated a make out session with her, much to her delight and surprise. It was bliss.
"So wonderful...like the time we had been under the tree together...and that first time you french kissed me..."Katie said, reminding him of that moment. "That was awfully bold of you, Pookie-Bear..."She giggled, still blushing.
Danny gulped when he recalled that moment, sweating profusely while the blonde girl sighed again.
"I can still recall it..."Katie said dreamily as she recalled that magical moment, one she held close in her heart.
"Heh... yeah... me too..." Danny said, regretting what he did in hindsight.
It made him want to go back in time and prevent himself from ever initiating that kiss, even if he thought that it was such a great idea at the time.
FLASHBACK
Almost 2 weeks ago
It was a bright and sunny day and Danny and Katie were at the park together, the same one where they met. They were on another date and Katie was enjoying it, feeling totally in bliss as they were holding hands here.
"Oh Danny, isn't this place just beautiful?..."Katie said as they sat down a shady tree for a moment, cuddling against each other.
"Yeah, it totally is..."Danny said, blushing over her.
"So are you..."He added, trying to be suave.
The blonde girl blushed at this.
"Oh Danny, you sweet talker..."Katie giggled. "It's working..."She said, looking so pretty right now as she smiled.
Danny felt his heart skip a beat, still unable to believe that this beautiful girl truly wanted him and only him.
"I'm so lucky..."He thought, feeling his hormones rise up a bit.
Sure, things have been crazy but reminded himself that this is a good thing. While things seem to be moving a little too fast, Katie is still a very beautiful, sweet girl who sincerely likes him and only him.
Not Danny Phantom.
"I'll cross that bridge when I get there..."He thought as he knew someday he'd have to tell her if this relationship ever becomes serious.
Right now, he just wanted to enjoy this moment.
He was alone in the park, sitting under a shady tree with a very beautiful girlfriend who is in love with him...a fact that he was still...processing even now.
Still, it was real. He had a beautiful girlfriend who was into him and who has frenched kissed him too...all within a matter of days.
"This is a bit fast..."Danny thought, before looking at her again. "Still, this almost seems too good to be true..."He thought, feeling a little insecure right now.
"Uh, Katie..."Danny began but she held a hand up.
"Oh, one second, Sweetheart. Lemme check something..."She said as she pulled out her compact mirror to see her make up.
"I can wait..."The ghost boy thought, looking at her.
She really is beautiful, with her perfect skin, big sparkly blue eyes, perfect teeth, soft, shiny blonde hair and her perky, positive personality. The ghost boy unknowingly stared at her in an almost smitten way.
She is definitely out of his league but she didn't see that. She chose to be with him out of her own opinion of him.
He thought about these last few days and recalled all the kissing between them...LOTS of kissing, including the French kind.
Danny smiled wider as he got an idea.
So far, Katie seems to be enjoying herself. She seems to be forthcoming at the wheel and he was in the backseat. Not that he minded, but it was time for a change.
"Time to take the initiative..."Danny thought as he steeled his nerves and looked at his girlfriend.
While Katie applied her lip-gloss, Danny hurriedly fix himself as he quickly used some breath-spray that he got from Tucker...since the techno geek wouldn't find a chance to use it.
"I'm actually doing this..."Danny thought, feeling extremely shy and nervous, even if he knew he shouldn't be at this point.
She is his girlfriend and so far, she has initiated most of the kisses...so maybe this time, he'd give her a special surprise.
It was time to show Katie that this boy could take the lead too...and also hoping that he wasn't stepping out of bounds too.
"I hope I'm right and that I keep up with her..."He thought, still nervous but also kinda excited.
Especially as she sent him another flirty look right now.
"So, I take it you like this little outing?..."Katie said flirtatiously.
"Well, I agree. And let me show you how much..."Danny said, flirting back and wrapping an arm around her.
"Oh, Danny..."Katie said, looking pleasantly surprised by this.
Danny tried his look confident and not too dorky as he did this. He recalled something from a movie he wanted to try and hoped would work.
He was nervous, but then went in and kissed the girl.
It was chaste at first, but it had Katie enthralled, even more so as he kissed up her shoulder and cheek, making her shiver in excitement.
Each kiss gave her a jolt of joy as he continued.
"To make it clear, I really like it. I hope that didn't leave you too breathless to stop..."He said, hoping that sounded as smooth out loud, like it did in his head while the blonde girl swooned.
"Oh, Danny~..."She sighed dreamily, wrapping her arms around his neck as he continued and feeling pretty weak in her knees just now.
All the while, the ghost boy was hoping he doesn't overdo it as he made the next move.
"Okay, calm down Fenton. Just go slow and steady, then pick up the pace with whatever it is I'm doing..."Danny thought, feeling more confident to move in closer.
Leaning into each other, Danny and Katie kissed passionately, melting into the moment. The ghost boy waited patiently as he savored the feeling, before making his move.
"Here goes everything..."He thought before sliding his tongue through his lips and into his girlfriend's mouth.
Katie's eyes widen when she felt his tongue was now inside her mouth, dancing with hers quickly.
She blushed until her entire face was a brand new shade of red as she realized that this is now the first time Danny made the first move and showed off his boldness with a kiss, and a French kiss too.
She was surprised by his sudden move to French kiss...which she certainly wasn't going to complain or stop whatsoever.
"I...I...Oh, Danny..."Katie thought, before she melted more at the confidence and boldness the ghost boy was showing.
She had never seen this side till now, and was loving it. Danny was lost in the moment before his eyes widen as he realized what he was doing.
He pulled back and quickly stammered into an embarrassed stuttering fit. His concerns grew, noticing his girlfriend's daze expression as she panted deeply before looking up with bedroom eyes.
"Uh...sorry...I...wanted to show you...something...I didn't mean to be so forward without your permission I-i just-..."Danny said, blushing and hoping he didn't offend her or anything.
Katie saw this and giggled, before shushing him.
"Danny, relax ...it's okay. Besides, it's not like this is our first time making out..."Katie said, reminding them of their second date.
Danny's blush deepened and he gulped hard.
"I know but...well...you usually take the lead and...I thought that this cause be a nice change of pace if I did it..."He said, feeling so stupid and bashful.
Thankfully, Katie found his bashfulness to be adorable and liked it. She couldn't help but smile at how he was being right now.
"Well, I certainly wouldn't mind if you did that again..."She said before she fluttered her eyes at him.
She then sent him a seductive look and but her lower lip, looking cuter.
"So, why don't we go back to where we left off?..."She said as she motioned for him to come, wanting for him to continue.
Seeing that made him smile. Danny felt his heart race as he was about to be in Katie's embrace again, this time taking the lead...and frenching her again.
"So lucky..."He thought as he leaned in, pressing his lips against her and stuck his tongue again, exploring.
"Ooh..."Katie let out a small moan and Danny closed his eyes and braced it, claiming her mouth as his own.
The blonde girl squirmed out of excitement as she began to return it...more intensely as he was.
"She's really into this, into me..."Danny thought as she embraced him.
"I love you, Danny!..."Katie thought as wrapped her arms around him, pulling him towards her until she practically crushing him.
The blonde girl got really excited and got aggressive enough that she pushed Danny on his back as they continued to make out, pressing her body against his as the blonde girl purred as she kept showing him how much she loves him with her mouth.
Danny gasped and held on as she continued to practically suffocate him.
"If she keeps this up and I'll end up a full ghost..."The ghost boy thought as he found a little trouble breathing as this continued.
"Mmm?..." Danny went due to his mouth being busy.
"Mmmmmmmmmm!..."Was heard, coming from a blissful Katie.
This continued for another minute until it was finally time to part.
"MUAH!~..."
Soon they separated, their faces both deep red and they were panting heavily. Danny was practically out of breath as Katie was touching her lips with a dreamy look on her blushing face.
"That was... breathtaking..."She said, smiling.
All the while, Danny was smiling more weakly as he tried catching his breath, looking like he just ran a marathon.
"You're... not wrong..."He panted, taking a deep breath.
However, he soon found himself in her embrace again as she began kissing up and down his cheek.
"Oh, Danny. Let's not stop. Let's keep going..."An even more amorous than usual Katie said as she resumed.
The ghost boy found himself on his back and she resumed kissing him, not giving him time to kiss back or respond properly.
He managed to pull away for a moment to say the following.
"Uh...Katie...I don't mind a break..."Danny said but the blonde girl giggled again.
"But we just got started and I still want more. Besides, something is telling me that you liked what you were doing..."She said before locking lips with him again, thinking he was being coy again.
"She's really into this..."Danny thought as he found himself spending the next half hour in yet another intense make-out session with the blonde girl.
One that last longer than he intended.
Much, much longer.
End Of Flashback
Present Time
Katie sighed dreamily as she recalled that day. Danny only felt a shudder.
"To think I didn't know!..."He thought, unable to believe he let his hormones enjoy that.
He actually kissed her back after he got out of the initial shock she put him through, which he now regrets doing.
Katie, on the other hand, was happy and feeling amorous again.
"You know Danny, I was really hoping that we could have enjoyed some more time together at Chez Etoile...but this might be better..."Katie said.
"Huh?..."Danny questioned but before he could ask any further, she was in his personal space as she started making kissy faces.
"Muah...muah..."She let out as she learned forward to him.
Danny froze up upon realizing what she meant and slowly started crawling back while Katie giggled.
"Aww. He's playing hard to get again. That's so cute!..."She thought, in a smitten way as she giggled again.
"You know...it's been a while since we...kissed that way..."She said in a seductive tone.
"Huh?..." Danny asked, looking nervous as she got closer, making bedroom eyes at him as she playfully crawled towards.
"What do you think? Should we have a retry? Maybe we can review our French..."Katie said, hinting she'd want a repeat.
"Uh...well...you see..."He said, holding in his voice and nervous at what she is implying.
That afternoon under the tree had been one of the most intense moments with Katie and it somehow made her even more lovesick and crazy. He didn't exactly look back on it fondly anymore.
In fact, he wished he never took the initiative, but there's nothing he can do to change that now.
The ghost boy was frightful while the blonde girl was inching closer.
"So...let's have ourselves a little try while my parents are out..."Katie said, making her desire clear and the boy gulp again.
"Uh...Uh..."Danny stammered now.
"You're so cute but there's no need to be shy now. It's just us and that's just the way I like it!..."She said, giggling with glee as she slowly moved closer to him.
"Make my day, Baby!..."She said with hearts in her eyes, her interest in kissing Danny growing.
Danny flinched at her outburst and nearly jumped out of his seat from her sudden mood swing.
"Now I remember why I can't let my guard down around her...She's CRAZY!..."He thought in a panicked state and ready to make a run for it.
However, before he even had a chance to do so, the love crazed blonde girl pounced on him, catching the boy off guard as she landed on top of him. Katie dug her face on to the ghost boy's chest and felt how warm and surprisingly toned he was. She gave the ghost boy a much more loving expression and admiration for him.
Danny gulped as she felt her hand on his chest.
He felt like a mouse caught in a cat's grasp while Katie was on cloud 9 right now, not noticing the look on the ghost boy.
One of fright.
"I don't know what he does for exercise... but it's working..."She thought, as she felt his muscles, loving the feeling.
"Wow, feels like my man has been pumping iron in secret..."She cooed as she enjoyed this. "Were you trying to get ripped for little old me?..."She teased as she lightly pressed her fingers on his chest.
Danny, meanwhile, was red faced and still contemplating on what he should do now. He couldn't run without ticking her off. To his surprise, Katie just gave him bedroom eyes, inching closer to his face.
"Get comfy Danny, my parents and brother are out, so no one will disturb us..."Katie said, not realizing that was making Danny anxious.
"Are you serious?..."He said with an audible gulp as the blonde girl nodded.
"Uh-huh...my parents went to go get some extra groceries for tonight's dinner and they took my brother with them... that just leaves you and me all alone. How romantic..."Katie said in a coy sounding tone, not realizing Danny wasn't feeling the same about the situation.
"Uh...yeah that's one word for it..."Danny stammered as was trying to think of a way out of this.
A way that didn't end with more bruises and a wrecked town, courtesy of her monster form. To his dismay, the blonde girl was shooting another pair of bedroom eyes his way.
"I really don't like the way she's looking at me right now..."The ghost boy thought as the blonde girl wrapped her arms around him and started giving him loving eyes as she leaned her face closer to his, mouths inches apart.
She then whispered something in French to him that the ghost boy didn't understand, but felt like he didn't need to know.
The ghost boy tried to get up, but his blonde love-struck girlfriend had positioned herself on top of him in a way he couldn't escape from. He also tried to ignore some dangerous feeling that were stirring up inside as she began to move her hands across his body, feeling him up.
"I really hope that she keeps this PG!..."Danny thought in a panic, wishing that there was a safe way out of this.
"So, how do you want to spend our alone time together?..."Katie asked as she fluttered her eyelashes.
Danny heard this and gulped as he just processed what she just said...and how she was now on top of him.
"Uh...um...how about...we just...talk..."He suggested weakly as the blonde girl just giggled at his answer, thinking he was playing around when he really was hoping to avoid as much physical contact as he can
"Oh, we can do that after we have some fun..."Katie said as she reapplied her lip gloss.
"Think Fenton...think!..."Danny thought in a panic.
"Y-you won't happen to want to study, do you?..."Danny asked nervously and realized how lame that is.
Katie sent him a raised brow and he tried to save this.
"Uh...well, we don't wan to fall behind...even if there is no school..."He said weakly and the blonde just giggled, thinking he was joking.
"Don't worry, Pookie bear. Our private lessons start right now..." Katie said with bedroom eyes again, causing Danny to freeze up as she started trailing kisses and soon began to kiss him on the neck.
"NOT THE KIND OF STUDYING I MEANT!..."Danny thought, unable to move.
If he ever needed a miracle from the universe, it's now.
Before he could speak up, Katie suddenly head a rumbling coming from him. Danny suddenly opened eyes then looked down and the blonde girl id the same as she realized that he was hungry.
"You're still hungry after that lunch of Chez Etoile?..."Katie questioned.
"Uh...I guess I am..."He thought, partially to get her off his back, also because he didn't get to eat much due to his nerves and getting knocking out by Vlad.
The blonde girl heard this and suddenly got an idea, her face pulling away from his.
"Well...we can get back to that later, plus, I'm starting to feel a little hungry too. That food at Chez Etoile was good but the portions were too small..."She said as she slowly got off of him, much to his relief.
"Saved by my empty stomach..."Danny thought as the blonde girl sent him a sweet smile.
"I'll go pop into the kitchen for a bit, Sweetie and fix up some home cookin' for you..."Katie said before settling with kissing him on the cheek.
"You rest your sweet little head and I'll be right back..."She said in a playful tone before she ran to the kitchen, giggling.
All the while, Danny was flabbergasted at what just occurred, finding this whole thing weird and kinda nerve wrecking but was relieved that she was no longer pinning him to her couch.
"Okay...she's gone... What the heck do I do now?!..."He thought as he wasn't sure or not if he should stay or leave.
He decided to try and leave...unfortunately, he couldn't use his powers thanks to Vlad's last stunt...which means that even if he does manage to leave out the front door, he wouldn't be able to get far.
"I am so getting Vlad back for this one way or another!..."He thought before he accepted the reality of the situation.
If he leaves, she's either go looking for him or get mad and morph...but if he stays here, he's risking getting smothered by her again and he wasn't ready to deal with her family either.
"Talk about being caught between a rock and a hard place!..."He thought.
However, as he tried to get up, he could feel his head throb in pain from the fight he was in with Vlad and hissed. His hunger wasn't helping much either.
"Well... as dangerous as she is, for now, she has no reason to think I'm going to upset her..."He considered.
After some careful consideration, he decided that it wouldn't be too bad if he stayed here to heal up and wait out however long he can.
"I need to catch my second wind before making a daring escape..."He thought as placed a hand to his temple to ease the pain.
All the while, knowing that he's gonna be stuck here dealing with his "girlfriend" who still crazy about him but still had no idea how she made him feel.
"This would be so much easier if she was evil and using me...but things are never that easy..."He muttered as he was wondering what has become with his life.
Meanwhile
While Danny was resting in the living room, Katie was in the kitchen, trying to make something good to impress him.
The blonde girl began grabbing all the ingredients for the meal she wanted to make for Danny, completely confident that she could make something to knock his socks off.
"It's so nice to have Danny here and with no mom, dad or Tinker around. I'm actually cooking something for him... it almost feels like we're married or something..."She thought, blushing and giggling as she started to cook.
She sighed as she thought about Danny, feeling everything she has ever felt for him but it was stronger now. She was clearly falling for him more and more, unaware of how suffocating she can be.
To her, they were the perfect match for each other.
"We're so in love, I just know that we're meant to be..."Katie thought dreamily as she got lost in thought, her imagination going wild.
She imagined so many wonderful things that could happen between her and Danny, some of which so cutesy they border on unrealistic but she didn't care.
She started to picture what her life and their future could be like after high school. She remembered a dream she had last night, not long after she received her flowers from Danny and that admittedly weird but sweet message from him.
It became her favorite dream, which she thought more during this wonderful date with him, so much so that she almost wanted to elope with her boyfriend the second she got that beautiful letter but even she knew it was too soon for that...but maybe someday.
The blonde girl sighed as she recalled that dream from last night.
It was one where they they got married, had kids and grew old together and living happily ever after. Just them together forever, just like in the movies.
"Oh Danny~..."She whispered as she recalled that dream with a smile to her face.
She really loved the idea of falling in love and getting married one day, like she has seen so many times in movies or other couples she has seen. She knows that it's too soon to be thinking about that, that they are way too young for that but who knows...maybe one day.
A part of her wondered if Danny felt the same way...especially now more than ever.
The blonde girl soon realized that she was still holding on to the frying pan in her hand and losing focus. She shook her head to clear her mind and get herself ready to the task at head.
"Okay... that's enough daydreaming for now, I got lunch to make and a cute boyfriend to impress with my home cooking..."Katie thought as she turned on the oven. "Mom always says that the way to a man's heart is through his stomach. So I should work really hard on this..."She thought as she pumped herself up.
She started cooking, using the finest products she could find in the kitchen, all for her Pookie-Bear.
Later
After 15 minutes passed, Katie arrived with a plate of chips, a BLT sandwich and a soft drink, as well as some leftover pie for dessert. She presented it to her boyfriend.
"Lunch is ready..."The blonde girl said in a sing song voice. "I hope you like it. I know it's not as fancy as what they served at Chez Etoile but it should keep that stomach happy..."She added as she served him the food.
Danny saw that it was surprised by the spread of food and while he was skeptical at first glance, he was actually feeling pretty peckish right now. Plus, thanks to his experience with the lunch lady ghost...even he knew that it's not wise to refuse a girl's cooking when she presents it.
"Uh... this looks really good. I almost don't know where to start..."He said as he began eating it, mostly to keep her from getting angry.
He was quiet as he took a bite and began chewing. He was surprised by how tasty it is, a little too spicy for him, but still plenty edible as he kept on chewing with a smile on his face.
"Wow, this is pretty good..."He told Katie before the blonde beamed with happiness.
"I'm glad you like it..."Katie said, smiling as she watched him eat the food, fawning over the smile that showed off his dimples.
"He's so cute~..."She thought before giggling.
"Getting his heart through his stomach? Check..."Katie thought, with an excited grin, as she continued watching her boyfriend eat until she joined him seconds later.
Danny, on the other hand, still felt pretty tense to be here, but played along and took a bite of the piece of pie that Katie offered him. This continued until most of the food was eaten by both of them and there was nothing left, though he tried to keep his hand steady when Katie wanted to feed each other again.
However, as some time flew by and no unfortunate or uncomfortable moments happened. Danny was actually starting to calm down and dropped his guard a bit.
"This isn't so bad, I guess. At least, she's not trying to touch me or smother me in kisses..."He thought as she began to pick the empty dishes until he realized something.
"She IS calm right now. Maybe now I can talk to her..."He thought.
"Uh Katie...I need to tell you something..."Danny tried.
"One second, Danny. I'll put these dishes away in the kitchen sink..."Katie said.
"Let me help..."He offered, both to help and also to talk to her fast but she giggled, blocking his hands
"No worries. This isn't much, I'm glad you like my cooking but you're also my guest. I can handle this..."Katie said in a perky way.
"You sure?..."Danny asked and the blonde nodded.
"Yeah, I am..."She said before walking in the kitchen while the boy drank some more water. "I'll finish this and after I am done, I'm going to go and freshen up a bit..."Katie said with a wink.
Danny nearly did a spit-take at that, knowing full well what that tone of voice could mean.
"Wait, what does she mean by that?!..."He thought but she was already out of the living room and making the boy's imagination go wild.
She was going to change into something, a mystery outfit that raced across the ghost boy's mind...one that would normally make him excited but the person in question makes him terrified.
Not to mention, the way she just winked at him, spoke volumes too.
Danny was now in a nervous sweat, not knowing what was gonna happen next and having an idea on what she meant.
The ghost boy suddenly pictured the blonde gesturing him to come over to her bedroom with a rose in her mouth and left a "Do Not Disturb" sign on the front of her bedroom door that she would soon lock. Danny then shook his head to erase that thought from his mind.
Grabbing a nearby napkin to wipe the nervous sweat off his face, his hand shaking violently as he tried to think things through.
"Easy Fenton, I'm sure that I'm just jumping to conclusions. She's probably just going to wash up and put on a new shirt or something..."He said, wondering what she is up to.
The ghost boy tried his best to stay calm but couldn't.
"Wait...what the heck am I even still doing here?! I gotta get out of here!..."He thought, about to just run out of here, no longer thinking about a potential rampage.
Unfortunately, he didn't get a chance too as Katie was done a LOT sooner than expected and he stood up straight as be heard the blonde's voice.
Once the ghost boy turned around, he was stunned silent.
"I'm back, Pookie-Bear~..."Katie said in a sing song voice.
Danny almost had his eyes jump out of his head when he saw her appearance.
Katie had changed into a knee-length, blue dress with a pair of white glove and high heel stiletto shoes that perfectly matched her dress.
The ghost boy had his eyes unconsciously glued to every step Katie made, she slowly walked towards her awestruck boyfriend as her hips swayed in her movements. Danny would try to look away, but his eyes seemed to have a mind of their own, one in complete contrast to his actual mind.
"Oh my..."Danny let out, almost speechless.
Katie giggled at his reaction, finding him adorable before she gave him quick twirl to show off her outfit.
"I thought you deserved a little preview of what I'd be wearing to the dance..."Katie said as she struck a pose, obviously wanting a compliment.
"You look great..."Danny said, both meaning and also not wanting to anger her.
Katie smile.
"Aw, so sweet. I'm glad you like it..."Katie said as she sauntered over to him.
She wrapped her arms around him again and the ghost boy's breath hitched at the touch, feeling his personal space getting invaded by this blonde again, especially where her hands are going.
"Now, how about a sample of what we might try to do after the dance if you promise to be a good boy..."She giggled before she began kissing his temple.
Danny realized that he was in danger again...of being smother by love and affection from Katie
"Oh man, here we go again!..."He thought in a panic as Katie began her kisses, starting with the forehead and then moved towards his ear and placing a kiss there as she continued peppering his face.
"You really know how to make a girl feel alive, Danny...I bet you're wondering if there's anymore surprises but...well, you'll have to wait til the dance to find out..."She whispered flirtatiously.
Danny gulped as he felt his anxiousness and fear...and maybe some residual physical attraction towards the lovesick blonde girl who still terrified him beyond his belief.
"Darn hormones! Both teenager and regular!..."Danny thought as he felt his face burn red and his fear increase as Katie began to move her kisses downwards from his ear now and was trailing the pecks, making her way towards his own lips.
However, as the blonde girl was now kissing his right cheek again, Danny wasn't sure on what to do now.
He desperately wanted to talk to her about their problem and hope that she'd at least listen, but she's too lovesick and into what she is doing to even let him have a word in edgewise.
"Oh man..what now?!..."Danny thought as Katie playfully nuzzled his cheek.
"Oh, Pookie Bear...you're just so...lovable~..."She whispered as she began kissing his other cheek now.
"Then why can't I love this? Oh yeah...the monster and the fact that she's nuts. I've got to think of something and fast!..."The ghost boy thought in a panic, as he knew Katie won't let him out of this but he had to try and get away somehow.
"Uh...Katie...listen, I'd love to stay, really, but I think I hear my phone ringing. My parents must want me back right now..."Danny said as he tried to think of an excuse. "So I should probably go now..."He added quickly as he tried to get out of her grip.
Katie, however, just thought he was being bashful and giggled.
"Oh, Danny...don't go. We just got started..."Katie said as she wrapped her arms around him and pulled him back for more.
Danny was actually surprised by how strong she is but he really shouldn't be, considering that she transformed into a lot of crazy looking monsters with super strength and since none of those monsters were ghosts, his powers were of little help, even if they weren't shorten out.
"This is crazy clingy!..."He thought in a panic as he tried to push her off.
Katie held tight and Danny braced himself as she began kissing his face again and whispering sweet nothings in his ear.
"Oh Danny, I could never get tried of moments like this..."Katie said before stealing another kiss.
Danny was wishing that he could just use his ghost powers, so that he had to get away and just head back to his house, but knew that wasn't an option thanks to Vlad's meddling.
"I am SO getting back at him for this but first, I gotta get out of here!..."The ghost boy thought as he eventually managed to wriggle free of his girlfriends grasp.
"Look this is fun. I've really got to go..."Danny said as he tried to sneak off.
However Katie, being fast, caught up quickly to his side and smiled at Danny, thinking he was playing hard to get.
"Oh, someones being shy ..."Katie said in a coy way as she fluttered her eyelashes.
"SERIOUSLY?!..."The ghost boy thought, feeling her grasp tightened a bit harder this time.
However, he gasped and nearly hissed as the blonde girl began kissing his neck, leaving reddish marks on his neck and they weren't just lipstick markings either.
They were another kind of physical proof of what they were doing and ones that can't simply be washed away with soap and water.
"She's giving hickeys now?!..."He thought, dreading as the blonde girl kept her mouth on his neck, which will probably form a hickey soon.
"Oh, Pookie Bear. I love you so much. I can hardly contain myself..."Katie whispered into his ear before she worked on the other side of his neck.
The ghost boy froze for a second before pulling out of her grasp. The blonde girl had been briefly embracing the air before realizing what he did.
Danny ran off while Katie watched, confused but "figured out" what must be happening.
"Oh, so you want to play hide and seek..." Katie asked with a giggle "Okay, sounds like fun..."She said as she let her man have a head start
"One...two...three..."Katie began until she reached ten.
Once she did, she sported a determined, amorous look on her face.
"Ready or not, Pookie-bear...cause here I come!..." She said, running after Danny.
Fully intending to kiss him senseless once she caught him, with no intention of letting out of her arms at all.
With Danny
The ghost boy kept running in attempt to put some distance between them. All those years running from Dash had to pay off but right now, he was using it to try and get away from someone even scarier.
"Come on, I am definitely not some wimp when I do this..." Danny thought as he paused as he gave that some thought. "Am I?..."He wondered.
He could worry about his lack of physical training later, he had to leave. He's not safe here!
He tried to run but Katie caught up and blocked his path, She leaned over him with amorous eyes before squeezing him into a bear hug.
"Oh, Pookie bear. I've got you!..."The blonde girl blocked his path again, kissing him.
"This girl is nuts!..."Danny thought in a panic as she began playing tonsil hockey again.
He managed to pull away and backed up as she cornered him, he smiled nervously before trying to run again.
The blonde girl, however, was fast and light on her feet, catching up to him quicker than he thought and about to reach him. Thankfully Katie was a good sport and let he go to continue this fun game they're playing, only after a couple dozen kisses every time she catches him...much to the ghost boy's dismay.
"How can she keep catching me this fast?!..."The ghost boy thought as he kept running, wondering if that was part of her powers or something.
He needs to find a place to hide and fast. Someplace where she wouldn't find him so he can sneak out and think of a real plan.
If only there was such a place he knew of.
"I've got to hide somewhere until my powers come back..but where to?!..."He thought, trying to come up with an idea.
He looked over his shoulder and kept running, trying to think up a new plan until his powers came back and he can get away from Katie, find Vlad and kick his butt for putting him in this predicament.
He ran upstairs and looked around.
"Here!..."He thought looking at the next door he saw.
He found a walk in dresser and ran inside. However, he quickly ran out as there was something in there with him.
He ran out and once he felt something warm and surprisingly soft smothering him and instantly knew who was already in there with him.
"HOW'D SHE GET IN HERE BEFORE ME?!..."He thought in disbelief as he burst out, only to run into a nearby mirror that he didn't notice at first.
Danny gasped when he saw all the kiss marks in the reflection, the ones Katie had left across his skin, especially his face and he also saw that hickey forming on his neck.
"AH!..."He let out with a shuddered and kept running while Katie ran out of the walk in dresser and chased after him.
She was also wearing her casual clothes now, having put her dress away so that it wouldn't get wrinkled or anything. Anyway, right now, the lovesick blonde was in a "playful" chase with the boy who she loves.
"Come back, Pookie Bear. You can't run forever!..."Katie called as she practically skipped, still thinking that he is playing hard to get
"I can certainly try!..."Danny shouted, still running.
"No need to be shy..."Katie shouted.
"I'm not being shy, Katie!..."He shouted, running faster now.
"You're so cute!..."She shouted, still with hearts in her eyes and thinking he was being coy.
Danny panicked and was starting to wish he was actually in gym class since that was less exhausting then being chased around by her.
"I waited all puberty for a girl to chase after me and now I'm running from a crazy one. I can almost taste the irony in all this!..."He thought as he kept running.
He knew the first thing he'd do after this is go straight to a shower, to wash off the lipstick and the feel of her touch, as well as find a way to hide the other kind of markings that she left on him. However, he didn't see his shirt get caught in the door and he had been running so fast that he tore it by mistake.
"My shirt!..."He exclaimed.
Danny covered himself as he mentally cursed at his lack of awareness. The shredded remains of his shirt clung to the rest of him, while the rest fell to the ground as he stared.
"I should have worn a jacket or something..."Danny cursed, shivering.
But he had other problems as Katie's gasp caught his attention as she had caught up to him.
"Uh oh!..."Danny thought in a panic.
She was staring slack jawed at his chest. Her face turned as red as a tomato.
"I don't like where this is going..."He thought nervously as the blonde sported a coquette look on her face.
"Well now, look who's been working out even more than I thought..."Katie purred, eating up the boy's figure optically as she grinned.
Danny also turned red, but from embarrassment than attraction. He made a break for it.
"Vlad is so gonna pay after I get away.."Danny muttered, wishing away to go ghost. Not that he would have a chance.
"Danny?...Where ya going?..."Katie cooed, almost skipping after him.
"Uh… shirt! To get a shirt!..."He said as he kept running.
"I have some shirts for you! Although... they're mostly my dad's from when he was in his 20's... I doubt you'd like polyester though..." She said casually.
However, it was clear that she wanted to keep the boy shirtless, which even the "clueless one" knew.
Danny didn't stop as he kept running, trying to get away from her and her clingy ways. He managed to get into another room in the house and ducked for cover.
He kept his eyes peeled, feeling like a victim in a horror movie as he kept his guard up.
"If this is karma for the times I snuck into the girl's locker room, I will never do it again!..."He thought nervously as he tripped and soon found himself crawling on all fours and looking back.
"I really don't wanna know what she has plans to do to me after what happened on the couch earlier or how she reacted with me being shirtless, but I'm sure that it'll be one sided!..."He thought, nervously as he snuck around, looking back every few seconds.
He was worried she was right behind him or would suddenly appear out of no-where like she has had a habit of doing. Honestly, he didn't know if that was worse than her monster form or somehow connected to it.
Danny didn't see her and sighed in relief as he kept moving, he was feeling tired from all the running and needed to stop and breath for a bit. He stopped for a moment, taking deep breaths and kept looking back to make sure that his "girlfriend" doesn't jump on him again. He grabbed a hold of what he thought was a nearby hat-rack and lift himself up, still looking back and panting a bit.
He had been too busy looking back to notice that someone had snuck into this room before him...and he had been too busy looking back to see that he had grabbed onto Katie, who was right in front of him.
Yes, she beat him in here and just stood there with lipstick on her lips and a coquette look on her face as he unknowingly crawled to her and she helped him up.
Danny was still panting and looking back, that he didn't notice yet that he had placed his hands on her shoulder and was unconsciously bringing her in closer to him. Katie rolled her eyes playfully and played along with what she thought was the ghost boy pretending not to notice she was there.
Not that she'd let pretend she wasn't for long.
"If he wanted to kiss me somewhere more private, then he should've just asked me. Oh Danny, so shy yet so addictive..."She thought in amusement as she decided to play along.
She then kissed him on the cheek, which snapped Danny out of it and made him freeze up.
"Wait...was that-..."He turned and was soon facing the lovesick blonde girl.
He froze as he looked into her amorous blue eyes while Katie just sent him a loving look before kissing the bewildered boy on the lips again. Once that ended, Danny let go and ran out of the room.
Katie saw this and giggled, thinking it was all a game.
She simply thought the ghost boy now wanted to continue their couples version of "hide and smooch", not that she got tired of it.
"Boys are so silly sometimes!..."She said in amusement before she went after him, more than happy to obliged.
"Girls can be so SCARY sometimes!..."Danny thought in a panic as he covered his mouth, ridding himself of the lipstick and her touch.
He expected Katie to sneak up on him with another surprise smooch attack, so he quickened his pace.
Unfortunately, he ended up running again as the thought of Katie being near him was scary enough to make him move. Only he drove himself into a wall, literally.
"Oh, you have got to be kidding me!..."He cursed at the dead end but stop once he heard footsteps.
He turned around in slight dread as Katie caught up. She just stood there, completely blocking the way for no chance of escape and staring him down with her lovey-dovey eyes yet again.
"I found you again, Handsome. Looks like I win..."She said with a wink, unaware of how nervous she was making him.
Danny realizes that he has two options, he can either try to run again or keep making out with the cute but crazy girl.
"This isn't something I was expecting to have to deal with..."He thought, not knowing what to do.
The answer seemed obvious, but wasn't sure if he could go through with either option at this point with her like this as she cornered him and her making kissy faces.
"I got that shirt for you... but I'm in no hurry to give it to you..." Katie said playfully, making Danny feel more nervous.
"K-Katie...please...I..I feel cold..."Danny tried but the blonde girl didn't register his displeasure.
She thought he was being coy and he didn't realize that he would regret his choice of words until Katie responded.
"Then let me warm you up!..."She said in a lovesick way as she slowly walked towards him with amorous intent.
Danny wanted to escape but he was backed against a wall and anywhere he went, she was already there...she had the unfair advantage of knowing this house inside and out and how to get around. Still, he tried to find a way out of this.
"K-Katie, I really have to go..."He tried again but she didn't listen.
"Don't be shy, I'll be gentle..."She said before she suddenly got hungry for more.
"KISS ME, YOU FOOL!..."The blonde girl exclaimed before puckering her lips at him again.
She then pounced him and closed the gap between their mouths, the force sending both to the floor. Danny soon found himself on the ground, pinned by the love-struck girl who was eating him up with amorous eyes and kisses.
"This is just like last time...but worse!..."He thought in panic as he struggled to get out but she's too strong.
He was shirtless, without his powers, no one knew he was here and Katie seems to be getting even more amorous if that was possible.
This was his new nightmare, being trapped somewhere his friends didn't know where he was by the clingiest girl he has ever met and who knows what could happen if he stays here any longer.
He didn't want to think how it gets worse.
Unfortunately, he got an answer as Katie now smiled with wide eyes as she slowly touched his chest with her hands, making him shiver from the contact, but the girl saw it like she was sending a cool chill.
"W-What she doing?!..."Danny thought as Katie kept up these actions.
"Oh Danny, whatever exercise you do behind closed doors, don't stop!..."Katie purred as liked what she felt.
She loved the feel of his skin and the growing muscles.
"Oh man!..."Danny let out in a panic as she sent a smoldering look.
"I gotta say I didn't think you'd be so hunky when we first met but I'm not displeased. My man sure knows how to build muscle..."She whispered, loving this.
"Katie, I...I..."He gasped as she began kissing his neck again and feeling a shock go down his spine, feeling his hormones bothering him, despite the fear.
Her touch made him gulp. He did not want to enjoy this, no matter how soft and gentle her hands were, and he knew if he stopped then she might snap.
"I need...to think of...a way...out of this... fast!..."He thought as his breath hitched and he couldn't even think properly anymore as she trailed kisses on his torso.
His face turned a deeper shade of red and his heart started to race as time went on, he was being overwhelmed by her affections.
Danny may not be a straight-A student, but the boy knew biology enough to guess what would happen next. And if he did not stop her, a few laws might be broken and his worst nightmare could get even worse.
"Please let commons sense work!..."He thought in desperation.
He ran out of options and decided to try and stop her calmly.
"Uhh...Katie...I don't think I'm mentally ready or mature enough to do...that... sort of thing...can we please...not do that before we make a mistake..."Danny said, hesitantly and hoping that she'd finally stop and listen.
Katie paused, pulling her hand away. She stood up straight, crossing her arms as she stared at the boy blankly. The ghost boy blinked, noticing her stern stillness and scratched his head.
"Uh... is she mad?..."He thought, surprised by her silence.
"Katie?..."He asked.
To his surprised, the blonde girl now looked annoyed, even offended.
"Do you really take me as that kind of girl?!..."Katie's voice was neutral but had a cold tinge to it.
Danny's eyebrows shot up.
"Huh?..."He let out, confused.
To his surprise, she got off him and now stood, her arms crossed.
"Uh... what's wrong?..."He asked, confused and hesitant.
Katie rolled her eyes at that question, looking annoyed rather than angry.
"You just implied I was going to run the risk of something too many teenagers do behind their parents' backs. I admit, I can be forward sometimes and I do think you look hot...especially with your shirt off, but I do not give myself away freely! Anyone I give that to will be my husband...and only after the wedding. So, if you want that, you'd have to marry me first...got it?..."She said, sounding serious.
Danny held up his hand, seeing how bad he just messed up and misconstrued her intentions. He also tried to ignore how she called him "hot" and the idea of her marrying him since he did offend her.
"Sorry...I was getting... a little afraid there...with how you were...uh...into this...I'm sorry if I misunderstood..." He said, knowing it's strange that he is the one apologizing at this point but knew he unintentionally insulted her..
Katie sighed, sending an apologetic smile.
"No, it's okay... I guess I gave you the wrong idea there but I just wanted to be closer to you and I wanted to show you how much I appreciate how sweet you have been..."She said, meaning it.
She noticed him shivering a bit and realized he really might get cold right now.
"Sorry... here, lemme get you another shirt, on me..."She offered.
"Uh... okay. Nothing too fancy, just the style I always wear..." He said.
"No problem..." She said while on the inside, she thought this: "I think he could go for something other than the same red oval, but I guess he likes it simple..."
Katie managed to find a simple, old T-Shirt in a closet, one that seemed to fit a teenager.
"My dad wore this a few years back. My mom was planning on giving it to good will but that's been on her list for years. He'll never miss it..."Katie said confidently as she handed him the shirt.
"Thanks..."Danny said as he put the shirt on.
Once done, Danny took a moment to look over the style, it was old, but alright.
"It looks nice on you..."Katie said sincerely.
"Thanks..."Danny said, not sure how to take that compliment, but he did appreciate her words.
For a moment, he glanced at her like she was normal. However, it was short lived as the blonde girl wrapped her arms around him again.
"Now, where were we?..."She purred romantically, hugging the boy tightly.
"HOW DOES SHE GO FROM CLINGY TO KINDA NORMAL AND OKAY GIRL TO ACTING LIKE A LOVE CRAZED FAN-GIRL SO FAST?!..."Danny thought in a panic as the blonde girl lip-locked him before he could make any protests.
He shivered as the lips collided with his. This would have been more rewarding if he wasn't scared for his life right now...or the fact that Katie was interrupting him with her passionate acts too much that he couldn't get a word in edge wise either way.
"I should have just ran when I had the chance!..."Danny thought as his gears raced to produce an idea.
Thankfully, the sound of a car from outside could be heard and voices familiar voices got their attention.
"Katie? Katie-Darling..."Mrs. Kaboom's voice was heard as the door opened.
"We're home, princess..."Mr. Kaboom's voice was heard.
All the while, the blonde girl gasped and immediately got up, looking worried as she looked across the window to see the family car parked outside.
"Oh, no my parents!..."Katie said in shock.
She dropped Danny like a sack of potatoes as she checked outside. Sure enough, she saw her parents opening the door from the upstairs and gasped.
Katie picked up and ran Danny out of the room, going to the back door, while the ghost boy barely had time to react..
"What are you-..."He was silenced as she dragged him by the arm, interruption him again.
"We gotta go!..." She said as she tried rushing him out of the room.
Danny blinked at this startling development, wondering what got Katie in a panic but was thankful the kissing was over.
Still, he wondered what caused her current attitude.
"Uh...what's wrong?..."He asked and she sent him a "are you serious?" look.
"My PARENTS are here. If they catch you here, they'll think that we were making out or something!..."Katie said.
"Uh...isn't that what we were just doing?..."Danny couldn't help but say.
"Duh but we can't let them think that. My parents already like you, but I don't want to risk this good relationship you have with my folks, it's been working out so far..."She said, keeping an eye out. "I'll go distract them while you get out of here until it's time for you to come back at 6 tonight..."Katie said as she opened the back door, being careful to be quiet.
Danny saw the door opened and quickly ran out, but not before Katie whispered to him.
"I really did enjoy our date today with you Danny...not counting you fainting ..."Katie said, before giving another quick kiss on the cheek. "Let's do this again sometime..."She said, making it clear that an encore was expected.
Danny mentally groaned in disbelief and frustration as the blonde girl closed the door and then went to go distract her parents.
"Hello, Wonderful family. Back so soon..."Katie said in a false joyful tone.
"Hello dear, how was your date with Danny?..."Mrs. Kaboom asked her daughter, oblivious as to what has happened during the last half hour in her home.
Katie just sent an innocent look and gave a typical, teenage respond
"Eh, nothing much. We had some lunch and then went for a walk, after that, tried studying a bit..."Katie lied as she gave a convincing act.
"That's nice..."Mrs. Kaboom said.
"Well, now we need you to get ready. We still need to get this place ready for Tiffany and Mitch tonight..."Mr. Kaboom said.
Katie frowned at that.
"I SO rather go back to what I was doing with Danny..."She thought but did not say.
"Katie, why don't you help me set everything up for dinner tonight?..."Mrs. Kaboom asked, being careful as she usually is with her daughter.
Katie sighed and conceded.
"Coming, Mother..."She said as she went to go help prepare for tonight's dinner.
"At least, Danny will be here tonight...and it might give me another chance to continue where we left off..."She thought with interst as she went to change.
She was also glad that he'd be there and she won't have to suffer meet cousin Tiffany alone and single this time
Unknown to her, there was more in store this evening at her family's little reunion...much more.
