In another world...
The sky is only just starting to turn to a beautiful yellow orange as the Sun is beginning to go down past the horizon upon the Desert.
Two particular people though were in a strained situation however...
A fellow in a strange wide brimmed hat, was walking along two horses in tow, leading both of them by their reigns as he carried another person over his back, tan cape billowing in the wind as the desert air was getting colder...
Gyro P.O.V.
Well this was a shit situation, stranded on another world by Valentine's damn ability. Though they were lucky in all honesty, the moment the pillars of light disappeared, Valentine became much less willing to try and kill him and Johnny.
'Huh... well... mérida, this could be worse. Johnny's going to be extremely sour about this when he wakes up. We shouldn't be too far from some form of a town.'
Well luck seems to be on their side at this point, he remembered what region they were in.
'We're in the Colorado Plateau, if we head west, there's the Great Basin Desert and the Mojave Desert, if we go south there's the Sonoran Desert and the Chihuahuan Desert. Gotta head north east, if we do we can go past the Great Plains easily... Kansas is the best option to go to since it's the closest to us.'
They can't stay in any Desert like area. Though they both had wound's, Johnny's were quite bad, his own were just as bad but being able to control the spin helped him maintain his body much better than other's. His wounds were already mostly scabbed over, Johnny's however... he had to stitch up and he had nothing to do that with, he had some makeshift bandages of cloth already put on all of Johnny's wounds.
Being a savant in medicine, and biology, was quite useful, especially now...
'I'd rather not tire out Valkyrie and Slow Dancer anymore than we have, but at this point it's a necessity...'
"Chht! Come here Valkyrie, Slow Dancer!"
The horses both picked up their pace, instead of hanging back ten feet away, they were right upon him and Johnny in seconds. Both calmed down after being caressed by the side of their face's, there wasn't any rope or much else...
He hoisted Johnny on top of Slow Dancer without any effort, after doing so he undid his cape and tied it around Johnny's waist and Slow Dancer's abdomen.
"Ha! That'll teach those bastardi for calling my cape stupid! People just don't think of utilitarian purposes anymore!"
"Time to get a move on you two!"
He quickly got onto Valkyrie within less than a second and already had Slow Dancer following him because of his affinity to just be a charismatic fellow in his own eyes, at least that's what he would tell others, he honestly had no idea why horses and other animals liked him. Though nowhere near Mountain Tim's talent with horses, he had a more subtle affect on all animals it seemed.
He figured it was more than likely the Spin affecting them in some way shape or form.
He sighed exhaustedly quite unhappily at his and his friend's situation.
"Well Kansas, here we come!"
Back In the Root World...
Valentine P.O.V.
He opened his eyes groggily as he stirred himself awake. The light that was now coming in through the window was a beautiful orange, he got up slowly and put his feet on the ground, looking down to see that still there his Stand was, sleeping away what he could only assume what was the spiritual strain he put on both their bodies. A big smile went along his face as he looked at his stand as he thought
'D.4.C. is quite like a cat in how it acts isn't it? Huh, I suppose I have always liked cats more than dogs, I suppose it makes sense enough.'
After he stopped thinking on his Stand's antics, he moved over to the window that he jus used earlier today to hop to another world, he looked out and saw that the Sun was indeed on the horizon line, almost ready to go down past it fully. He realized two thing's he had slept much longer than he intended almost 9 whole hours, and that something could of happened within that time.
"Damnit! I shouldn't of been that tired!"
The utter anger in his voice seem to aroused his Stand from it's slumber, quite quickly as well. It was already right behind him as alert as ever, it's left arm hanging over his left shoulder and going right underneath his right arm, as though it was a sling for a gun.
It realized that they might be in for something again as it felt his mental state and what it was worried about.
He quickly brushed off his previous thoughts about their predicament and quickly made his way to the door, unlocking it and shutting it behind him making his way down his left side in the hallway. He checked every door that he walked past and shutting them, gradually calming down as he saw some soldiers in the bunks, or doing other things such as playing cards with one another.
He only saw about twelve soldiers in total, there were at least a hundred posted here, so everything seemed fine for the most part. He was less on edge than before but he was still worried that something could of happened right underneath their noses.
'Be ready for anything D.4.C. we both need to be alert and ready for the possibility of a fight.'
His stand fully understood his sentiment, and knew their situation could change in less than a second just as well as he did.
He made his way hurriedly down the hallway to the main entrance hall of the Safehouse, he looked seeing that there were still some soldiers about sitting in chairs and talking, as well as maids cleaning up after the soldiers as well. Three soldiers saw him and quickly rose to their feet gaining the attention of the other two soldiers sitting near them.
"At ease men. There's no need to be so formal with me when we are all in the house. We're all equal, no matter what station, or position, we serve at."
'That seems to have calmed them, good.'
"You can continue. Don't mind me, just going for a stroll around inside."
"Got it Mr. Valentine! We appreciate it!"
One of the soldiers said, they all sat back down and began talking once again. He gave them all a nod as he went down the stairs, and made a turn to the left into the Kitchen to see if anyone was there.
Some of the soldiers from the large Platoon that came with him on the train were inside making themselves and others some food. Thankfully none of them paid him any mind as they were too focused on making the food and not burning it or anything else around them. He made his way through the Kitchen calmly to make sure none of the soldiers would get worried about anything.
He was now in the dining room where he found both Lucy, and Steven Steel, sitting talking to one another with chairs pulled by each other at one of the round tables scattered around the dining room.
'If anything's happened Lucy and Steven must of noticed they've been around the supernatural event's in the Steel Ball Run race to at least pick up on the strange happenings that occur.'
He made his way, quickly too the both of them, his boots not even making a sound against the hardwood floor or the rugs put down underneath the tables. He was already across the room to them in less than a couple seconds, not even realizing that this might appear worrying at this point.
Both Lucy and Steven noticed him a second before he pulled a chair from another table and sat it down by them and sat upon it. Before he could ask anything however Steven spoke.
"What brings you along to us on this fine night Mr. President? Is there something we can do for you?"
Steven's voice appeared sincere though with some hint of worry.
'At least Steven appears to be easing up, the both of them don't need anymore stress than I already gave them before.'
He put his elbows on the table and his head in his hands, and just sat there and sighed and shook his head in his hands. He knew he couldn't alarm any of the soldiers quite yet, he needed to tell Steven and Lucy about the events that transpired earlier. But he was just as stressed even thinking about all the ramification's about telling anyone and not telling anyone. He needed to get them to a more private area so no one could hear what he was about to tell them.
"I've been doing quite a lot today, and I have the feeling I need to discuss some of it with you two. It's quite... interesting, to say the least. I'd truly be indebted to both of you if you would come with me to talk for a bit. I could use a friendly conversation right now."
His voice had the tell tale signs of someone who was worried about something or someone, he knew it did, but at this point he was too exhausted by everything mentally to try and mask it.
Lucy spoke up, and quite worried for him it seemed to his surprise.
"Of course Mr. President, whatever you need let us know."
He saw that Steven had grabbed Lucy by the arm, and whispered to her as quietly as he could.
"Lucy I don't think that's a good idea. We need to be careful, he could be planning something."
It seemed Steven didn't know that some stands had quite good hearing, and D.4.C. was one of them, but he decided against responding and waited to see if Lucy would say something back instead, he still held his head in his hands as he waited for an answer.
Lucy responded quietly as well much to Valentine's surprise once again.
"There's no point in making this any harder on ourselves Steven, he's promised us nothing but security, and seems to have hold true so far, so we can at least give him a little faith. Though I am still scared of him as well... he honestly seems, distraught, I've never seen a man like him be this troubled over something."
It seemed this caused Steven to at least relent somewhat, as he sighed and said "Okay." To Lucy in response, both Lucy and Steven got up from their sit and as they did so did I. 'I suppose it should be my office, that is the most private area I can think of for the time being...'
"Follow me... I truly do appreciate this... it means more to me than I can describe. I'll take you to my office, it's the best place to talk about what I'm going to tell you."
Though he knew the last part might seem a bit provocative to some, he said it quite a bit quieter than the rest of his sentence, he knew what he was going to tell them would make him sound like a raving madman, but if he needed to he could get proof.
But going back to the other world was something he'd rather not have to do quite right now especially in the stressed state he was in currently.
A bit later...
Valentine's P.O.V.
As he walked them into his office he made sure to quietly close the door and lock it behind him, they didn't need any distractions at this moment especially with what he wanted to talk to them about and discuss in full detail.
He motioned them with a wave of his hand.
"Please, take a seat on the couch. I apologize for the area looking a bit out of order, I just woke a while ago and had to check for some things I forgot about. If you want anything to drink let me know. I know for one I very well need a drink myself."
He saw that both Lucy and Steven had taken a seat on the couch as D.4.C. was still keeping it's eye's out for anything due to his current feeling's about telling anyone what he witnessed and found out first hand.
He made his way towards the back of the room and went through the cupboard once again and looked for something a bit less grating on the nerves and mind, he found some vintage red wine from over in Italy, he read off the name of the label, Scelta Del Diavolo, a strange name to be sure, but he got it from a friend over in Italy, his friend owned the biggest winery in all of Italy in Sardinia if he remembered correctly.
He took the bottle and closed the cupboard, and moved to his desk. He decided to take the chair from the desk and move it by the table in front of the couch so that Lucy, and Steven, could see him closer, face to face. This would be a struggle, he knew it from the bottom of his heart. This was a rare moment for him... he wanted to lash out at everything, to destroy, raze everything he could and couldn't physically destroy, even as he wracked his brain to try and figure out how to word what he wanted to say.
To say he felt slighted by everything to ever be, even by God himself, would be an understatement for the pure anger, grief, and irritation he felt currently. This was uncharacteristic of him, he could always hold a calm and level head and a façade that none could ever see past. This drove him into such a pit of pure frustration, that he could feel as he sat down into the chair, his right hand had crushed the entire wooden right arm rest in it's grasp.
He looked down to his right hand, to see the splinters that broke him out of his anger fueled mind.
"Oh... I'm quite sorry you have to see me like... this. I've had quite a few things pressing me this current day, I'm not quite sure if I can continue this charade of mine. My calmness that is... usually I can keep the farce up as though I was the Devil himself..."
He let go of the right arm of the chair, the wooden ball that once laid at the end of the chair's arm was compressed into the shape of part of his palm, creases of skin showing in it as well, it dropped to the floor as he fully let go of it, some of his anger subsiding with it.
Lucy and Steven both looked as though they wanted to say something but they didn't, he supposed his eyes were telling them to leave him be for the moment by the way they looked away from his face as he stared at them. He quickly glanced elsewhere as to not frighten them anymore. He went to speak but before he could even do so he felt his anger coming back tenfold.
He popped the cork off the wine bottle and downed a fifth of it as though it was the last drops of water he would ever be allowed to drink. His anger quickly dissipated for the time being, the wine's taste quickly throwing him out of his thoughts.
"I've actually never quite liked alcohol or it's taste in almost any form, though I've grown accustomed to it's disgusting and vile spectrum of tastes."
He gave Lucy and Steven another glance seeing that they had once again put their eyes on him to give him their full undivided attention, at least for the current moment.
"But, that's not what I came here to talk to you both about... though I wish it would of been something as simple as my preference of drink, or lack thereof."
He gave a tired sigh, one full of fatigue and soreness, and began speaking once again afterwards.
"I'll be honest, I'm not in the mood for games or any thing of the sort. I'm not going to dance around what I wish to tell you, this is both of your final warning that what I'm about to tell both of you, is deathly serious, I as well have disclosed with no one else what so ever what I'm about to say."
His thousand yard stare bore deep into Lucy and Steven's eyes, forcing them to look at him directly, unlike before making it so they have to look dead set into his eyes. He put the wine bottle down onto the table without ever taking his eyes off of either of them and spoke once again.
"The papers were right... we're under siege by foul creatures, vile things of pure evil. I've seen them with my own eyes, and even killed many with my own powers, I've even felt them. Cold lifeless husks made purely to destroy and devour everything in their path, and they work for something, something greater than themselves. In another world they're already here in America... this safehouse was destroyed and all the soldiers there were dead... there were no survivors."
He looked at both of them the entire time, his eyes boring into their souls, his eyes once again a raging ocean of blue much like they once were when he gave both of them the option to live or to die.
He made no attempt to hide his anger on his face as he told them what he needed to.
"Not, a damn... single, THING, is human about these hellspawn, they aren't natural, they're abominations to every single living thing in this world."
He Looked at both Lucy and Steven, resolving to speak his final piece.
"I've never rightly been a devout or faithful man... in the practicing sense, I've always felt that there was something that made us. Though... I suppose at this point I can no longer deny the truth of what or who it is... huh... it really does leave a pit in you, once you acknowledge all the wrongs you've done that is."
Both Lucy and Steven seemed perturbed by this, sorrowful in a way. If they wish to feel pity for me then so be it, he thought.
"I regret the decisions I've made... but I wouldn't change them, even for... no I can't rightly say even for God at this point... I would change my actions if I could, but it's a struggle, fighting for two things at once, that require such drastically different things. To do the right thing in the eyes of God and to do the right thing for the prosperity of America. I've had to kill, destroy, and ravage so many other people to keep the land safe, Huh at this point it would take days to even list off my sins."
He hated this feeling, the tugging on his emotions in every which way his conscious would allow, he had wronged the one who saved him in that desert years ago, almost every day. Yet he only realized the amount of remorse he felt that he always pushed down. He took a gift from God, his own heart, yet he spit in his face with his actions.
"I'm... not sure what to say Mr. Valentine... i-it sounds like you are telling the honest truth..."
He looked up to his left, and saw that it was Lucy, Steven directly behind her, sadness and apprehension glued onto both of their faces.
He exhaled deeply through his nose and mouth, feeling his anger rise at remembering what he once intended to do with Lucy. He was intent on making her regret crossing him, and he went to the furthest lengths he could think of to do so, he regretted all of it, but he didn't know if he would even undo any of it if he could.
"I'm truly sorry... Lucy Steel... for what I once intended to do to you, whether... you ever forgive me or not, is your own choice I can only tell you how sorry I am for what I did and would of done. I don't know if I even want forgiveness, all I know is that I want you to know how sorry I am about all of this.
What I've told both of you is very real, if you wish to see I can show you the lands that have been razed to the ground, and the creatures that inhabit theses areas now, I only fear that it might all come to pass here as well, I have something that you both might need in the future."
Catch the Rainbow, and Cream Starter, he gave Cream Starter to Lucy, and Catch the Rainbow to Steven. He had a begrudging feeling that they might just need those two objects in the coming days. He put his hand between his Jacket and his shirt underneath, he pulled out both objects he hid in another world. Though he did notice the wince Lucy gave when she saw the mask of the man he sent after her.
The looks of fright upon their face's did confirm what he was wondering, they can indeed see Stands now. He looked behind Him to see that D.4.C. was just laying it's chin on it's left palm while looking over both Steven and Lucy, he made sure to rectify their fears as quickly as possible.
"Don't worry about D.4.C., he means neither of you harm, he's been summoned by me for quite some time now. I've been keeping D.4.C. out since we were on the train, I've been on edge about all of the reports of things destroying areas in other nations and regions... and... well it seems that I was right to do so."
He gave both of them an honest glance of sadness and sorrow, he knew he had to get the area secured, and soon.
"Mr. Valentine what do you intend to do? I'm not quite sure how to take all this, but after the Race, and all the other events I have promoted... this doesn't seem out of the realm of possibilities. I've also never seen you so shaken, you... never really crack under any pressure... so as terrified as I am to believe any of what you said is true... I can only assume that it is."
He sighed once again and gave a sad laugh, knowing it's all to real, at least in other worlds.
"It is... and I told both of you, because you deserve to know... you're both under my custody and protection, and deserve the best from me. I can only tell you both that as American Citizens and as your President, I am to protect you and this country... even should it break me in every way it can. It's what I promised under oath when accepting this position... and it's the absolute least that I can do for causing all the strife throughout the race and beyond."
He stood up, D.4.C. standing behind him leg phased through the chair, and looked directly at Lucy and Steven and put a hand on both of their shoulders.
"It's time to get you both somewhere safe. I'm going to send soldiers with you to keep you both safe, Lucy, I trust you can tell Steven how Catch the Rainbow works. You already know how Cream Starter works so I have no doubts there. We will need to keep this quiet, I've noticed something strange earlier as well. The creatures could already be here.
We can't alert them, if we do we risk everyone's lives here, if they know we know about their presence they'll be much more likely to attack, if any attack you, hit them with the objects I gave you. They should emanate Holy Energy due to how their users obtained them. You both know why this would happen, don't say why."
Lucy and Steven gave him a nod.
"Follow me, we're going to get the soldiers that are going to escort you. Make sure that you manage to contact every single one of them physically every so often with the items I gave you, hopefully nothing will happen... but if it does, put down the monster in any way you can. I'm going to have D.4.C. touch everyone we go by, it's energy seems to be much more potent.
So should any of the creatures be present we'll know, I aim to keep the creatures out of sight, until everyone needs to know, if you come across one before me, get me to it immediately."
"Okay Mr. Valentine!" Lucy and Steven both said urgently.
He nodded to them, and walked to his office door, unlocking it, and giving a gesture with his hand for both of them to follow.
He spoke under his breath to both of them.
"I aim to do whatever it takes to keep you and everyone else safe, keep your thoughts on each other and staying safe. I'll worry about everything else. Stay very close behind me, D.4.C. will keep you both safe as long as you are close enough in it's attack range. It's time to get a move on."
3rd Person P.O.V.
The sun had set just a couple of hours ago, and movement could be seen inside the massive safehouse throughout many of the windows. Soldiers laughing and doing different things, eating, talking, playing games, gambling. Luckily for the three that were making their way around the building it made it all that much easier to not alert any of the Soldiers or Guards.
Valentine had been leading Lucy and Steven around for quite a while, making sure to have his Stand D.4.C. brush past multiple soldiers. Nothing had so far happened and Lucy and Steven every so often made sure to brush past some of the soldiers every now and then with the bound stands Valentine had given them.
All three of them were on edge but Valentine eased anyone that asked about the situation, assuring them that everything was fine, and that The Steels were just not very accustomed to seeing so many Patriots in one area.
No one batted an eye at this after seeing the charming smile Valentine always gave, quite easily lulling anyone into feeling safe and comforted by the man.
Lucy and Steven both agreed with Valentine's explanation whenever they were asked, they both gave smiles whenever they could as well to further sell Valentine's answer.
It had been about an hour of going through different rooms, checking, searching, and fixing anything that might be out of the ordinary.
They came across multiple blood stains in a dozen or so empty rooms, Valentine was quite calm, expecting that this might be the case, that the creature left behind some sort of evidence of being there.
Though Lucy and Steven retched at some of the more visceral displays of blood, though there were never any remains. Just Blood. Valentine himself wasn't having a great time since he had to make the blood and other indicators 'Disappear'. Though D.4.C. easily took care of that sending the liquid to different worlds.
Every time the blood had been removed from the root world, Lucy and Steven were still just as mesmerized by it as when they first learned what his ability was. To them it always looked so elegant, like a magician and his assistant performing a magic trick, instead of seeing a man break the rules of reality.
An hour later...
All three of them finally came to the destination Valentine had set them upon, a small room far in the back of the building, holding multiple items, all with white fabric covering and protecting them from the dust that would inevitably form on their surfaces.
"This is our stop. You both stay here while I go fetch the Soldiers that will accompany you."
Valentine waited a moment to see if either one of the Steels had any objections or questions. It didn't seem like it as Valentine made a move to leave but was interrupted by Lucy's voice.
"Mr. Valentine, how are we going to go anywhere from here? It hardly looks like any form of transportation that you told us about."
Lucy and Steven were both nervous and frightened by all the events that had recently transpired it would look like if anyone was told about what they had gone through during these past few months, especially what's happened in just the last week.
Valentine slowly traced backwards and spoke aloud to both of the Steels.
"Like I have said earlier, you two worry solely on yourselves and each other. You needn't worry about anything else, for that is my charge and labor, not yours. I'll explain once I return. You'll both be safe here, none come back here except for a very select few. Now I must be going, I wish to get you both to a safe haven as quick as possible."
As Valentine finished his decree of what he resolved to do, he made his way to the door swiftly and vanished from both Lucy and Steven's sight.
"Well, there's nothing we can do now but aught to wait for Mr. Valentine's return alongside whoever he brings with him."
Steven finished his sentence with a hint of reservation in his voice, more than likely because they both knew that Valentine was serious in his current doctrine to them.
Lucy herself was utterly exhausted by this entire fiasco, so was Steven. They both just sat themselves down against the wall of the relatively unknown storage room.
Valentine was going from room to room throughout the building finding the best soldiers that were posted in the Safehouse, swiftly every Soldier was told by the President to "Follow alongside me, I have something that requires some extra muscle, that I could use help with."
All of the Soldiers Valentine had accrued had listened to him without a single question or complaint, when asked by such a renowned figure as the President themselves who is also your acting Commander, you can't really push much room for any type of negotiations.
Valentine had made sure every Soldier was not one of the "things" he encountered in another world, Valentine's stand made sure of that, phasing it's hand through their bodies as well as touching any skin that was left to the air. None burst into flames or disintegrated upon the Stand's touch so Valentine was content for the time.
When they made their way through some of the back rooms of the building there were some that questioned why the President was being followed by twelve Soldier's. Every time Valentine somehow got them to forget the questions they had with just a few simple ideas.
"Ah, I've been meaning to show everyone of the Soldiers around all of the areas in the Safehouse, but I've started doing so in groups. It's been quite beneficial for morale. I saw no reason in sleeping tonight, so I wished to help everything stay productive."
The few that asked President Valentine in the current room had lit up at how Personable he was. Valentine's words seemed to sway everyone to see him as some form of Saintly man.
Some of the Soldiers eventually felt uncomfortable with the maids and others that asked these questions.
"Sorry Ma'am, but we have ta be off, The President wanted ta go for a stroll around the inside premises."
The Soldiers quickly pushed Valentine along whenever any tried to question them, the last Maid who asked was quite angry at how rude she thought the Soldiers were to her.
Though the group of Soldiers themselves were just as angry as the Maid, due to all of the other Soldiers giving them glances and questioning them, as well as any of the Staff doing so as well.
Though the only one who seemed quite happy was the President himself, Valentine was quite happy though surprised by how fast the Soldiers were to dismiss others questions as well as almost picking him up to get away faster.
To the President it was almost like being a child again he found it quite endearing at how much the Soldiers valued him.
Valentine P.O.V.
'Finally, we've made it back to the storeroom. Hopefully Lucy and Steven listened to my instructions. I'd rather not spend more time delaying their departure regardless of whether it's their fault.'
He opened the door slowly, though he knew that this was an anxious moment for all involved, they all needed to remain calm and collected. He gave the group that he had follow himself a wave of his hand, and gestured them to go through the door first.
"Are you sure you want us to go in first Sir?"
'Still as vigilant as ever. Good, they'll all need to be.'
He looked at the Soldier who looked quite worried, he knew he had to ease them into this task.
"Yes I am Soldier, you don't need to worry about me, you all go right ahead in and I'll be in right afterwards. You have nothing to worry about."
He noticed that the Soldiers nerves calmed down as they all went ahead of him into the storeroom. He followed after the detachment of Soldiers he sent inside quickly, though he was careful to make no noise what so ever his agility making it easier as well.
He closed the door behind himself as he made his way fully into the storeroom.
'Good, Lucy and Steven listened to my instructions. This will make it much easier.'
He made his way forward slowly, looking at each and every Soldier. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary to him, D.4.C. hadn't notified him either, so for now they were safe.
He continued on the short path he had, to get over to Lucy and Steven, who appeared to be content for the most part, though he wasn't quite sure whether the amount of Soldiers he brought would alarm them or make them feel safe.
Whatever the case it's best to be prepared.
He was now right in front of them after only seconds.
"I hope you two are quite alright, I didn't mean to be gone for so long, my apologies. But... I had to make sure everything was going smoothly, I hope you'll forgive me."
"It's fine Mr. President, we had no troubles."
It seemed to be the truth from what Lucy said as far as he can see.
"Thank you Mrs. Steel, well I do believe we should be getting this to ahead."
Before Lucy or Steven could respond he made his way to the corner he had just told them about, he felt around underneath one of the corners edges and pushed down on a indent in the wallpaper of the room.
From behind a cloaked wardrobe and armoire, the wall began to move downwards forming a pseudo staircase of red bricks.
'It's been quite a while since I've even thought of this passageway. It's a good policy to be prepared for anything you can be prepared for...'
"You've had this thang back here Mr. President!?"
He chuckled beneath his breath, not at all surprised that one of the Soldiers would be alarmed by such a precaution and measure he had in place. It wasn't every day you found out one of the secrets your Nation's leader is withholding.
"Yes this has been around since this building was first in the works. I've always had a fascination and endearment towards things of a nature like this, but that's neither here nor there."
He made a glance towards both Lucy and Steven and the Soldiers, making sure they all saw his eyes calmly looking at them for but a second.
"Men, you are going to be escorting Mr. and Mrs. Steel, they are important guests, and friends, of mine. Others are currently hunting them down... and no one currently has any clue as to why, you all are going to keep them safe and make sure they get to the Trinity Church in New York. They must get there at any cost, I have people there that can keep them safe."
"Aye Sir!"
'Well all of them agreed without question, that'll make my work much easier. I can only hope Lucy and Steven can keep up this charade I started. I'm going to have to give a notice to the men at New York, though... I'd rather not involve some of the agents there unless absolutely necessary.'
He motioned everyone to follow him as he slowly made his way down the recently formed brick stairs. D.4.C. was looking around everywhere as well much to his indifference at the current moment, he could feel the skin that D.4.C. had brushed it's own hands along as it checked to see if anything was one of the creatures they had encountered earlier.
Nothing had happened so far so it was unlikely their was one in their midst, D.4.C. was already checking once again so he just let it be. He saw no harm in his Stand's actions.
He looked back and saw that everyone was still accounted for, some of the soldiers made way closer to him as he looked back, probably because they thought he was irritated at their pace.
Lucy and Steven were only a couple feet behind him, with some guards on all of their flanks.
'Hmm, there should be some lanterns further down, no one should notice me opening another world then...'
He carefully put his left hand into his overcoat, and took a pair of matches from his coats inner pocket. He lit one of the matches and carefully moved down the stairs still, deciding not to light any of the lanterns, he'd rather not have to snuff them out when he came back up the stairs.
No one talked thankfully much to his content, they didn't need any distractions from getting to the underground than they already had.
'It shouldn't be much longer now.'
Some minutes later...
Valentine P.O.V.
"We're here, let me open the passage."
He made his way past the lights that none of the public had yet seen, powered by electricity, a gift from the Germans that he had been working with for the past years. That should keep them at least distracted from what he was about to do next.
Before any could pay him any heed, he pushed a brick and had it crack into place behind where it once was. He looked over to his left and saw that the brick wall was turning open, leaving a line in the middle.
"Men go up ahead, The Steels will be right behind you in naught but a second. Remember, get them to Trinity Church, no matter what, understood?"
"YES SIR!"
The chorus of the men echoed in the cold brick room they were in, he figured they would listen but he always felt there was a chance of any soldier going AWOL or rebelling against orders, the men still had faith, that was good, especially with what the nation might have to deal with soon.
As he saw the soldiers go on up ahead he made quick to discuss something with Lucy and Steven.
"I am... truly sorry... for everything I have done to you Lucy, I will never forgive myself for the act I committed, I wish I could take it back but... I can't take it back, all I can do is try my best to make amends... regardless of if I get forgiveness... Steven I apologize as well for all the harm I've done to you as well... my same promise goes to you as well. Lucy, your family will be safe, I promise that."
Both Lucy and Steven looked apprehensive, but he saw sorrow, compassion, and even understanding in both of their eyes, this deeply wounded his train of thought. He knew though... he had to accept that he can't have the World work the way he wants, but he knew he could try... try, and be a better person.
Before he knew it Lucy had embraced him, her head resting into his chest, he felt her tears wet his jacket, he actually felt hatred for himself, her tears are almost breaking him every moment. He could hear her barely audible whimper through D.4.C.'s hearing.
"I deserved the death you gave me Lucy, every bit of pain I felt, I deserved... never feel bad for what you did, I deserve your hatred, every single ounce of it."
His sentiment only made her embrace tighter, he wanted her to know that he was wrong, something he never admitted to anyone, not even himself.
He knew that almost none that were hurt in the way he was going to hurt Lucy rarely ever got closure or recompense, this was the least he could do for her in the current situation, give her an honest apology, and confirmation she was right, and confirmation that the one who wronged her is truly sorry.
He hadn't seen it but Lucy was looking up at him, his eyes were shut as he ruminated on how vile he was. What he would be willing to do to get his way, he knew so many things he did were wrong, but he didn't know what he would do if he could retry everything all over again.
A sole tear fell from his left eye, this was what caused Lucy to look at him, he knew he had shed a tear but he assumed it landed on his Coat Jacket.
"I wish you both safe passage, you'll be amongst those who can protect you in New York. Once all of the problems here have been dealt with I'll make my way up to both of you."
His eyes stared down at Lucy then to Steven, unlike what he held so many time's before within his eyes, there was no ocean anymore it was a blue endless abyss of conflicting emotions. Lucy had slowly let go of him and went back to Steven, he saw she held his hand, he was glad that she had someone that was good to take care of her.
"I'll see you both sometime again, be careful out there Steven, you as well Lucy, both of you stay safe."
He bowed his head down towards both of the Steels and they both nodded back, as he saw them both make past the brick passage way he made sure to push the wall back into place with all the strength he had eventually using D.4.C. instead and turning it and pushing it back like it was a toy all the while breaking the steel bars and mechanisms that would turn the door.
"It should be much harder to open now. Hopefully no one finds this area. Another precaution would be best though..."
He made his way up the stairs but stopped right as he reached the second step from the room.
"D.4.C.!"
His stand struck like a meteor! Collapsing the entire room upon itself, breaking even the one of a kind lights the Germans gave him. The thick steel supports were utterly decimated, brick, dirt, wood, and steel all collapsed like a mine unto itself, leaving no way to get to the passage way's brick door.
He was satisfied with the outcome and continued up the stairs, letting D.4.C.'s eyesight guide him up throughout the dark abyss that was the now lightless hidden stairway.
'They shouldn't need to turn back, these creatures don't appear to have much in the way of intelligence. I doubt they found any entrance to this passage.'
D.4.C. was ever alert as usual, the air was getting colder once again as he made his way up the stairs, his pace was the same, his movement silent as he walked up the brick stairs. There was barely any noise at all within the space of the stairway, he made sure his steps never made a single sound, with the agility he has garnered over the years. It was strange however, he suddenly felt as though his chest was being crushed by a sledgehammer was bashing his chest in.
'What's going on here?'
He looked down at his chest as his thoughts were running rampant, his entire chest felt as though it was going to cave in upon itself, he was already holding his chest trying to subdue the pain he was feeling, D.4.C. itself even trying to save him out of instinct. It went so far as to his Stand even phasing through him, trying to keep his heart beating a steady pace.
Even though he was fighting through the pain his eyes were almost completely shut.
'No! No! No! What's happening!? This can't happen now! There's too much at stake! This Country will fall without me!'
His own thoughts were frantic with worry about America, and what would happen should he die, especially in the current situation they might be faced with! He felt an overwhelming presence of sadness, grief, and love envelop him entirely, he felt at ease but was still in such pain that he could barely think.
"You are right, my son. This world needs you... not just your country..."
The voice came from right behind him!? How the Hell did someone even manage to make their way here, let alone from behind him!
"I'm... afraid you caught me at a bad time Soldier... please see me later, and forget about this passage way."
'None of the other Soldier's should of followed me here besides the single platoon! Who is it! D.4.C. damnit! I can't have D.4.C. let go of my heart or it'll stop beating! Damnit!'
"You're safe my son."
He could feel the pressure upon his chest... disappear entirely!? As though his entire body was completely fixed. He felt at his chest, his heartbeat was normal, with no abnormalities!? His fatigue gone as well too!
He felt a hand rest upon his shoulder, he felt content... at peace, with everything even his own actions no longer seemed to haunt him as this man's hand was placed on him. It felt as though he was enveloped by pure radiance, it was like nothing else he had ever experienced! He felt... pure love, he couldn't feel any other emotion besides happiness.
'This isn't... the work of a stand is it? No stand could... have such a sheer presence, not even Jokester's Tusk or Zeppeli's Ballbreaker with the Infinite Rotation felt like this I can... only think of one...'
"Don't be afraid, many forget."
D.4.C. lifted it's head up from Valentine before this new arrival could finish his sentence, there is only one 'Man' that could have this sheer aura of benevolence and power. D.4.C. had fully locked it's eyes on the man, he saw who it was through his stand... he could hardly believe what he saw.
"That I ere more on the side of forgiveness and love, than I do on judgement, my son."
He stumbled back just barely at seeing who this was, his stand quickly supporting him making sure he didn't fall down the stairs of the passageway.
'... This is too much.'
He locked his eyes onto the man trying to make sure he wasn't hallucinating all of this, he was still fumbling around barely able to keep his own composure.
"Is it... truly you, or is this the work of a Stand?"
The man simply smiled and began walking up the stairs, he beckoned him to follow. This was all so surreal to him, he couldn't even shake himself from feeling that this was all a dream.
He made his way up the stairs behind Christ, his stand supporting him to make sure he didn't fall as he walked up the stairs, D.4.C. was ready at a moment's notice to attack, still feeling his apprehension at seeing the Saint.
He made his way up to the back storeroom he was once in earlier, he saw Christ sitting on the floor with his legs crossed, waiting for him while slowly looking around at the room.
"Please, Lord... please sit in one of the chairs... you shouldn't debase yourself like this... if it's really you... this is..."
"It's fine don't worry for me, my son. I can see, that this is quite a lot for you. You are quite an articulate man normally, I'm sorry for causing you such stress."
'This feeling... this pure pressure of benevolence and power... this can't be a Stand.'
He quickly made his way over to Christ and sat on the floor hastily and bowed his head, before he spoke.
"Please Lord, don't apologize to me. It's hard to say this... but I know much of my actions are Sins... in your eyes. I've done so much wrong and have justified it to myself... there's so many."
"You are my son regardless of what you have done, I'll always love you. Just like everyone else, you may have sinned but I despise the sin, not you."
He looked up to see Christ's face illuminated by the moonlight, he had scars across his forehead, the crown still stuck atop his head, stubble all across his face, blood still dripping down his face and his light bronze skin his wavy hair a dark brown with a wooly look about it, but the most prominent feature upon his face was his gentle smile.
He could only feel guilt at what he was about to say but he had to say it, he wouldn't lie to Christ, he deserved his utmost respect and love. To lie to him... would be to deny the truth to himself and everything. He already knew his thoughts, why would he deny what he would do or think. He looked Christ in the eyes and resolved to speak the truth of his thoughts.
"I'm not sure I deserve your love, Lord... even if I could change what I've done, quite frankly... I'm not sure that I would change those actions if they meant the prosperity of America... it's hard to acknowledge, but I don't know if I can quite rightly look you in the eyes for much longer."
"I see... Valentine, do you remember that there has been... others much like you? Great men of power like yourself, Sins were still in their actions, no matter how great they are..."
He was at a loss for words he didn't know how to respond, he has always known a great deal about the nature of God to an extent that most Pastors had, but to behold it first hand and experience it was nothing short of life changing.
"Why do you still accept me me Lord? I... for lack of words I don't know how to say it but, for as much as I know about the Gospel, it's hard to not want to know more... I walk a path much like Adam in some aspects I'm sorry to Say...
I want to know why you still have love for me, even if I can barely fathom your reasons should you tell me. As selfish as it is... I want to know personally why God loves me..."
He felt melancholic in asking such things and being so selfish with the audience Christ has granted him, it was quite a grim realization at how he had not acted like the Leader he was meant to be, and wasted this time when others that needed the Lord more than he were out in the world.
"You're more troubled by your actions... more so than you will ever let yourself know... I will always love you.
Humanity is worthy of my love because I want to love you all. No matter the Sin I will always love the person, even those in Hell I love beyond comprehension.
I love you all... more than any can understand..."
He noticed The Lord stopped himself for a second. He could only assume to word it in a way he would understand better.
"Human's are my favorite of my children... more than any of the Angels or Animals that have ever existed... Human's are my pride and joy, because though you are capable of great evil, you are capable of much greater good..."
"Valentine I have revealed myself to you for a very important reason my son... This world will need you... you have the power to save it."
"Lord..."
"You've seen... your Stand is the battery of the multiverse... it sustains them all even should you die, the only realms it isn't apart of are Heaven... and Hell."
"Your heart..."
"It's part of you... you're strength, your power you have been granted by I is even beyond Angels... You don't realize it but you've only scratched the surface... of what D.4.C. is capable of."
He noticed that Christ stood up and moved to the window he pointed at the swampy marshland that was just a couple hundred feet away, he wasn't entirely sure what the Lord was going to do, but he waited with a profound interest.
"You must of noticed when you first used your power against Johnny... as saddening as that was for me to witness, it showed you it's potential.
It not only allows travel to other universes but can allow different realms to overlap in one area... see the tree, The broken one... use your power to overlap another world... have D.4.C. look for a world where the tree is healthy... and swap it."
He had almost never used that ability of D.4.C. after his first encounter with Joestar. It was true, when he first fought Johnny he had overlapped multiple worlds in one area, to allow every single possibility to play out at once.
He supposed he never thought it was truly necessary to use it again... but with the proposition the Lord gave him... it was exhilarating... any possibility that happens within the infinite multiverse... is his to command.
"D.4.C. Eclipse of worlds."
With just that simple sentence, the once broken tree had turned into it's once again former glory, leaves completely green as though it was taken from a beautiful summer.
"Do you see my child? No fort can be broken no place overrun... anything that is possible in an area you overlap... you can find and move it to the root world.
You've seen as well even the ability to travel to worlds, it has a farther range than you knew. Does it not, other thing's can come out from other realms around you from in-between objects."
He didn't know how to feel about all of this... he was equally in terror of what's to come and in awe, there was so many questions he still had and he had no idea how to ask them or even go forward further with the discussion Christ is allowing him.
"I see... Lord I have a question for you... regardless of whether you know what I will propose or not, I still wish to ask it regardless for my own contentment. I hope you'll understand..."
He could see Christ only gave him a kind light hearted smile, and nodded his head.
'There is no time like the present I suppose.'
In another world.
Gyro P.O.V.
"Not much longer now. At least I hope not, I don't think I can stand seeing anymore fucking sand in my damn life. At least you get to sleep Johnny, lucky bastard. I'm going to make sure you're fine..."
'You're my best friend, and I'm sure as Hell not going to lose you after all we've been through.'
Slow Dancer was still trotting alongside Valkyrie keeping the same pace. They were getting closer, but how close he didn't know, he saw wooden signs pointing to the east a couple times in the past few hours. Though all the damn signs were effectively useless in any way except pointing them in some direction since they were so damn weathered it looked like some sort of creature was eating at them.
"Chht! Slow Dancer move closer!"
As he commanded, Johnny's horse was only about a foot away from him. Johnny still looked worse for wear, but the cloth had stopped the bleeding quite a while ago. He carefully took his left hand off the reigns and put it on the side of Johnny's neck to check his heartbeat.
"Good he's at a normal resting rate, thank God... gonna get you right as rain Johnny, I promise."
He made sure to tighten the Cape a bit more around Johnny ever so slightly. Didn't need him falling off Slow Dancer anytime soon. Well this is what happens he supposed, they shouldn't of took the damn gamble of using the Infinite Rotation, Valentine completely blind sided them both by using a damn clone after the pillar of light left him. He knew Johnny wasn't going to let either of them live that one down.
"I wonder... can I summon Ballbreaker without the Infinite Rotation like Johnny did with Act 4...I can only hope... this should work. If I can just focus the Spin correctly."
He felt it, but little by little as he searched his mind and soul. He could feel the power of his Stand... the raw energy was astounding. It felt like he was a lightning rod conducting the energy of a storm. He looked down at himself and saw much like Johnny and his pink aura, he had a aura too.
"Green and Gold! Cazzo sì! I can't wait to show Johnny once I get him fixed up! Wait a minute... why do I get two colors Johnny only had one..."
He looked over at Johnny again but what he saw almost made him fall off Valkyrie in surprise.
"Figlio di puttana!"
What he saw shocked him to his very core... he actually fully managed it...
Ballbreaker had fully manifested itself. It was only about a little over a foot tall, it looked quite a bit smaller though as right now it was looking over Johnny as though it was a guardian angel.
Valkyrie and Slow Dancer were a bit startled but luckily they hadn't reacted much besides a bit of irritated huffing. He was glad he hadn't scared them to much he didn't want to have to round them up and risk Johnny getting hurt more
"Fucking Hell that scared me... next time get my attention, fuck..."
He looked and saw Ballbreaker gave him a slight tilt of the head as though it were a dog or cat.
"Huh you're somewhat sentient without me... that's gotta be rare for a stand... almost every other stand we've encountered never acts own. Though Tusk seems to have it's own personality and responses to things. I suppose Ballbreaker and Tusk are almost identical in function so it makes sense they share quite a few similarities."
'We're still heading west. We won't know if we're in Kansas until we find some more signs or if we find somebody who can tell us... Johnny might know but he needs to rest up, it'll make any procedures I need to do much easier.'
He looked over to his left and what he saw caused a large grin to plaster right across his face. Johnny Isn't going to believe this, he can't wait till he gets up to see this. Ballbreaker was completely carrying Slow Dancer with it's left arm and kept placing her right next to him just a foot away every so often. He decided he should probably see why Ballbreaker is doing this so much.
"Hey, Ballbreaker, what's going on why do you keep picking up Slow Dancer by my cape? Is she hurt?"
His stand just looked over at him and tilted it's head. It was heard to describe, but it didn't speak yet he could somehow understand it in his... heart and soul? It was hard to describe but it was a feeling and not one that could easily be explained, he just felt what it was trying to communicate somehow to him.
"Slow Dancer keeps falling behind? Is that why you keep dragging her and Johnny over to me?"
Ballbreaker simply nodded it's small head and kept hovering just right above Johnny while looking at him.
"Huh well... that's cool, but certainly strange that I can understand you..."
Wait... didn't Act 4 function differently without the Infinite Rotation...
'Johnny could summon Act 4 at any time once he unlocked, even without being on Slow Dancer and using his stirrups, but it didn't have the effects of the Infinite Rotation, it was for all intents and purpose able to function it just couldn't use the Infinite Rotation... Tusk and Ballbreaker are the same type of Stand it seems for all intent's and purposes Act 4 and Ballbreaker are virtually the same...'
"Hey Ballbreaker come here, I have a theory... no, would theory even be the right wording, it would make more sense to say question because I'm asking it something before trying it, but with discussing it, it would be a hypothesis...
but a hypothesis is just a theory...
Fuck it! I have something that I'm wondering and I need your help real quick."
His stand quickly made it's way over hovering from Johnny to him at quite a fast pace, though it was only a bit over a foot away.
"Do you remember when I first managed to summon you by using the Steel Ball against Valentine and missed him? You know what forget that last part, I should of hit him. Can you merge yourself into this Steel Ball in my right Holster, I have an idea.
That's what I should of said! I have an idea! Okay, so can you get into the steel ball like before during the fight against Valentine?"
Before he could even get a response from his stand it moved faster than even his eyes could perceive! He looked down at his right holster and saw what happened, Ballbreaker already put itself inside the steel ball, it was glowing a dark green and crackled with yellow lightning all around it. He felt the steel ball and felt the pure amount of energy his stand had imbued it with. He unclasped his holster and decided it was best to test his idea.
'Well here goes nothing.'
"Ora!"
As he threw the steel ball he saw Ballbreaker was gliding on the surface of it as it sailed straight into the sand more than a couple dozen meters away, though he noticed as it hit the sand it only had green energy and none of the crackling lightning.
Once the steel ball hit the sand though he saw Ballbreaker unleashed a single hit from hits fist and left a gigantic crater!
Right as Ballbreaker and the Steel Ball cratered the ground his steel ball came back just as fast with Ballbreaker inside.
"Well it seems like I was right on a couple fronts, you are just as strong as Act 4, and just like Act 4 as well you don't have access to the Infinite Rotation unless I use my stirrups and Valkyries optimal speed. Though it seems that the crackling yellow energy indicates the use of the Infinite Rotation to some extent."
His stand made it's way out of the steel ball and zipped right back on over to Johnny and hovered around him just like it had done before. Well this did confirm it really is a reflection of him, worried about Johnny just as much as he did.
He looked up to the sky and saw that the horizon was starting to get a orangish red as it almost always did when the sun sets on the horizon line. It'll make their travels just a bit more difficult, the desert and plains tend to be blazing hot during the day and freezing cold during the night.
'We should have some more cloth, there should be more than enough to at least cover Johnny a decent bit so he doesn't get a cold. We used the last of the Zombie Horse a while ago. I used a couple feet of cloth to bandage Johnny. There was a bit over twelve feet of cloth, we lost the damn sleeping bags. There should still be a spool of string and a needle as well as a pair of scissors. We have both canteens still, though not much water. Some bread and cheese as well.'
"Ballbreaker, check in Johnny's pack for the cloth. Once you find it wrap it around Johnny and make sure to cover all his exposed skin except for his face. Make sure it's just tight enough to not fly away but not enough to hurt any of his wounds, got it?"
His stand had given a little nod as it somersaulted in mid air making it's way just a bit back to the pack. It was meticulous in it's movement's as it made sure not to hurt Johnny, he had his eyes on Johnny's eyes and there was no twinges or facial expressions of pain as Ballbreaker wrapped him in the cloth.
"Huh that's a damn fine job considering what we have to work with! Well done Ballbreaker!"
He chuckled as he saw his stand give him a salute similar to the one's the guards in Napoli would give him as he walked by them, it was surprisingly well done too it's hand to it's head and it stood straight just on top of Johnny. He had a big grin spread across his face due to his stands antics.
The Horizon had just grown dark, he should of paid attention to that. He put his goggles on so that none of the cold wind would irritate his eyes. He pulled Johnny's Hat over his closed eyes as well so the cold wind wouldn't bother his rest.
Hours later...
Third Person P.O.V.
It had long since grown dark as the sun had set behind the horizon hours before as Gyro had set off into the west in search of Kansas, in order to find a town to get his compatriot Johnny Joestar fixed up from the battle against Valentine that they had sorely lost, Just a day before.
Unknown to Gyro they had made it into the state of Kansas just a hour ago, they were quickly approaching the break between the desert and the plains near the middle of the state itself. Though he paid little attention to the surroundings as he had traveled. It seemed like he would notice some deviations in the path every now and it seemed right now it had just happened to Gyro once again.
This time however he noticed a person up ahead, leaning against one of the thin trees characteristic of the plains of Kansas.
'Who the Hell is that up there? Are the wearing a dress suit... who the Hell would be wearing something like that out here in the middle of nowhere? Are they insane or just lacking mentally?'
Gyro himself was quite intrigued by why the Hell a person would be wearing such an expensive article of clothing out in the wilderness of America. He already didn't want to get close to this stranger, but he didn't want to go any further in a different direction than straight west at this point after travelling straight west for so long.
He sucked up his own dislike at the current situation and had his and his compatriot's horse continue along the path he had set on hours ago on a steadfast headstrong journey.
Though unknown to him the person ahead had already noticed him long before he ever saw them.
This man was Sebas Tian, the head butler of the Great Tomb of Nazarick and House Steward, and luckily for Gyro and Johnny, one of the most noble and kind out of all the still current members of the Great Tomb of Nazarick. One who as well didn't have a deep hatred against human's.
Though Sebas found himself was in quite an uncommon situation, as he could sense the strength coming from Gyro from hundreds of feet away, though he was able to do so through the ability of sensing other's KI, the things he had seen in this world never had any at least none he had come across.
Thus this was quite a rude awakening for him to sense such power coming from what looked like only a normal human.
'Well, this is quite different. This shouldn't be possible, his strength... far exceeds any of the Floor Guardians... I've never felt this amount of strength in anyone before not even... in Lord Touch Me. This will be something that Ainz-Sama will want to hear about. Especially if we can recruit his help, I'd rather not see what type of harm he could cause to Nazarick. Though there must be others that have some sort of KI like he does.
I can't sense anything from the one on the other horse, though he looks asleep if the fabric on top of him indicates anything.'
There seems to be quite a fowl wind for all involved currently.
Both sides should only hope that they don't have conflict on either side because it could spell disaster for who so ever loses.
Sorry everyone I'm trying my best to keep the story updated but some things have caused it to slow down however it I am slowly getting more ability to get more done and written.
It shouldn't be too long for the next chapter, the range is from a week to a month away. Hopefully it will be done in the week.
Ballbreaker caused the Stats for Gyro as seen by Sebas, although this is without any of the Infinite Rotation energy.
HP 500
MP 0
PHY. ATK 500
PHY. DEF 500
AGILITY 500
MAG. ATK 0
MAG. DEF 0
RESIST 100
SPECIAL 1000?
There is a very good reason the stats are so inflated, and that's because Ballbreaker is essentially the Spin and the Infinite Rotation given an actual form of some kind whether it be spiritual, metaphysical, physical, etc.
For all intents and purposes Johnny's stat's would be the same if he had Act 4 out without using the Infinite Rotation like Gyro was.
I also thought it would make sense because of how similar Tusk and Ballbreaker are it's fair to think that Ballbreaker could be summoned just like Act 4 without the use of the Infinite Rotation but would not have the effects of the Infinite Rotation just like Act 4.
I am planning to write more fight scenes but I felt as though I needed to expand on some more areas of the story before I continued with fight scenes and to those who wanted to see more interactions with the Floor Guardians and other residents of Nazarick, don't worry, we'll soon be seeing much more of them.
Who knows, maybe Gyro and Johnny could ally themselves with Ainz? As unlikely as it is it could happen if the situation calls for it on both sides.
Also to answer preemptively if Sebas tried to read the Saint's power, if he could even see the Saint, it would be a single word incomprehensible.
As for Valentine's Stat's, I'm not quite ready to reveal how strong or weak his stats are should Sebas or someone like Ainz view his stats or player info.
I also suggest going to read a Legacy to Protect by my friend Donuthair5618.
Until next time!
