Goin' KABOOM!

Chapter 33: Dinner Time Part II

Danny sighed as he didn't feel so hot right now. After his talk with Mitch, he started to feel afraid and was beginning to second guess some things.

"As if I didn't want to call quits already..."He thought, feeling nervous.

He excused himself in order to have a few moments to himself and analize the situation without a certain blonde "love-interest" getting crazy on him again.

Mitch obviously must know what's going on with Katie...but only assumed Danny didn't know yet.

"He obviously knows something...which means that no only Katie has powers...but Tiffany might..."He thought, realizing why Katie's family was so accommodating.

It made this situation even more creepy, like a movie mix of horror and family, and he was in a lead role.

"Great, a family with two crazy girls with tempers and monster powers. Why are things like this for me?!..."He thought as he placed a hand on his face and dragged it down. "It's almost like the world wanted my new girlfriend to be a monster... in more than one way..." Danny thought, stressed out.

This was worse than the time he took Paulina to the dance. At least then, he had a roar of a time that ended with the removal of that amulet but this monster girl experience isn't as easy as that.

He needed to find an answer to this situation, but nothing came yet.

He found himself eager to do some stress eating right now, which isn't a good sign.

"Is there anymore ice cream or cobbler?..."He muttered as walked but was distracted when he took a wrong turn.

He would have realized his mistake but Danny walked further towards another destination, one that he partially dreaded.

"Where am I?..."Danny asked himself.

Seeing a random door, he got his answer as he stopped. He saw Katie's room and thought maybe to try and talk to her now, since her folks were busy dealing with...I mean...talking to Tiffany.

"Katie?..." He asked, knocking but the door opened suddenly.

"Huh?..."He let out as he looked inside and saw Katie was not there...less she was gonna surprise him again...something she does a lot.

"I really shouldn't do this, but it might be better if I have an idea of where she is, or whatever..."He thought. "Plus, we'd be alone to talk...maybe I can finally get peace before any lip attack..."He thought as he took a step inside and looked around for his "girlfriend", seeing nothing.

"Katie?..." He asked for her.

No response, indicated by the vacant room. He looked around and saw nobody inside.

Danny looked at Katie's room and saw that it was almost like a normal girl's room, if it weren't for the fact said girl could mutate into a freakish monster. But still, it was odd for him to walk around when she wasn't there.

"I should get out of here before either she or her parents suddenly show up and get the wrong idea...and to think I was looking forward to being in my first serious girlfriend's room..." Danny groaned as he walked carefully.

He didn't need to leave any indication he was here, not if he didn't want to risk another monster rampaging across town or an EXTREMELY awkward conversation.

He slowly walked, careful to not step on anything as to avoid damage to her stuff or detection.

"I should go..."He thought as he tried to turn away.

He felt that staying inside any longer was a violation, both for her privacy and his sanity. Not to mention, it was risking his own safety if she transformed and he's powerless. The only thing keeping him alive is Katie's feelings for him, but he didn't want to risk it.

"Why do I feel like Ember's room would be less... dangerous for me?..." He thought, about to leave.

However, Danny soon tripped over a book that was now open as he saw the contents. He picked it up and recognized some of the words as personal.

Mostly since the words were very... romantic...and cutesy.

"Wait...is this Katie's diary?!..."Danny thought in a panic.

He started to worry. If she knew he read her diary, she'd be angry for sure. Normally, Danny wouldn't risk it but he had an idea.

"If I got to know the kind of guy she thinks I am... maybe it'll give me an idea how to make her lose interest if all else fails..." He thought.

"I really hope karma doesn't bite back..."Danny thought as he braced himself as he began reading the girl's most private thoughts.

Danny's eyes widen and the color drained from his face as she read the kind of things that blonde has written about him...especially with the page he first opened.

It was a page with a bunch of photos of him on it. The sight made him almost shriek.

Decorating the photos were hearts, glitter, and writings of love accompanying some kiss marks on the photos. If the boy didn't know any better, he'd say this was a mini-shrine out for him.

The ghost boy just stood there, staring in dread as he was practically frozen, unable to blink.

After a few moment, he felt his eye twitch, still looking like he had just seen something he will never be able to un-see.

"Okay... as soon as my powers are back, I'm going to take these to either be doused in holy water or tossed into a fire... He muttered quietly, his left eye twitching a bit.

The ghost boy felt his knees getting weaker, as if he'd fall any moment.

It was as creepy as the shrine Paulina keeps in her locker at school...and a big part of him didn't even want to think about the slight possibility of Paulina having the exact same thing or him as Danny Phantom in her own diary.

The ghost boy tried massaging the sides of his head while the very thought of crazy girls having shrines dedicated to him just creeps him out.

He wanted to stop looking at this but he soon saw a recent page in the diary that was talking about him...from Katie's point of view.

"Dear diary, I have had another wonderful date with Danny. My adorable little Pookie-bear and I have fun every minute with him...Oh, he was quite the gentleman at lunch and he was clearly such a shy little puppy today when we were alone together. He's the most adorable boy I've ever met, being so considerate, sweet and honest. I just want to eat him up everyday. With all the butterflies and rainbows I feel when I see him, and it's a sight I never want to stop seeing. I wonder what surprise he'll give next date..."Was written.

"Okay, this is getting creepier..."The boy thought, unnerved as he kept reading.

Danny then looked at the notes that Katie had placed on his friends and what she thought of them. To his surprise, she sounded annoyed when she mentioned Sam and seemed neutral to Tucker, even if she wrote that she found his way of eating rather annoying.

She also wrote a sentence about Jazz saying that she seemed nice and a little bit of a know it all.

"She's not wrong there..." Danny thought, shaking his head.

He would have gotten upset by that but his eyes landed on what she wrote about HIM and how she saw him.

It was official, he was going to make ghosts look colorful after paling from this read.

"Anyway...enough about them, onto my Danny..."He read, feeling like he was crossing the point of no return.

He kept reading the last few days from her point of view, especially the most recent events or "dates" from her point of view.

"She doesn't really think I'm like this, does she?..." He whispered to himself, hoping he won't have to find out in person.

He wanted to stop reading but he couldn't. It was very disturbing but he couldn't look away.

"He's the knight in shining armor I love so much. I look forward to be with with my sweetie-weetie love muffin again. I just wanna be with my sweet little pookie wookie bear all day long!~..."Was also written, doted in more hearts.

Danny felt like throwing up after reading that, but had to hold his gag reflex. He had to leave no evidence of his presence in here.

"Did I read that right?!..."He read again and the urge to throw up was getting stronger as he read the very, very, VERY creepy and lovey-dovey words.

"He's such a precious little thing. He's such a shy thing when he shows how much he loves me... oh, I just wanna cuddle with him all day long. Maybe even snuggle him on the the couch or on the floor again. It was so fun doing his way of physical intimacy, I can tell he loved it..."Was also written.

The ghost boy cringed at that, feeling uncomfortable as the diary in his hand felt like scolding hot metal.

Unfortunately his curiosity got the better of him and kept on reading, much to his dismay. He looked at some previous pages, including more flowery descriptions and misunderstandings.

All he could do was regret letting this whole mess get out of hand. He felt he could only blame himself for what's happened. Sure, he didn't have any idea of any of this monster stuff from the beginning but there had been red flags that he overlooked.

"Why did I ever flirt with Katie? I hate hormones..."He thought, regretting his actions that day and blaming his hormones being in control rather than his brain.

He pushed that out of his head, that won't help him right now. He kept reading and realized what it was about. He saw what happened in an entry from today.

"She must have wrote this before I got here..."Danny thought as he continued to read what she wrote

He paled even more when she wrote this time. He felt even more violated after reading what happened earlier today from HER point of view.

"Anyway, let's get back to what I just experience today. Danny took me to Chez Etoile and it was without doubt one of the greatest lunches of my life. When Danny wants to pamper me, he goes all out..."Katie wrote down, dotting some of her I's with hearts.

At first it seemed like it couldn't get more uncomfortable, and then Danny read what came next.

"Unfortunately, he felt light headed and passed out but not to worry, I took him home and nursed him back to health...and then we took the next step as we admitted our love for each other and kissed. He was so romantic, giving that beautiful love letter and necklace and acting all shy and modest. He got more comfortable as we made out...He even started this new game for us that was pretty fun, some kind of hide and seek as we went through the whole house...It was so fun and we kissed each time I found him, which made it even more fun.. Then it was his turn to find me. He even pretended to not notice me when he went inside the closet or when he actually crawled onto me just so he could kiss me all over. I beat him to it but he sure is one fun boyfriend..."Was written.

"She actually THINKS THAT'S WHAT HAPPENED?!..."Danny thought in utter shock as he recalled the experience from earlier.

He had been literally scared out of his mind, fearing the worst for his personal space but she thought it was just some kind of game. However, it got worse as he kept reading and soon got to a part he'd regret reading.

The part he felt most uncomfortable with that day. The one where he ended up shirtless and she put her hands all over him...and she wrote the experience in detail here.

"Our game was put on hold when his shirt came off and I got a good look at my Pookie-bear's chest...we soon ended up on the floor but that was fun too. Ohh... I have no idea what he does for exercise, but the feel of his muscle shows it works, giving me shivers that make me smile. I just wanna touch it so much... Just like his neck. All those little marks I left. Oh, he looks too good with his shirt off, I could watch all day. I don't know what he does but I wouldn't mind if he did it all the time. I would love to watch him exercise..."Was written as more hearts accented the dots of the I's.

Danny felt mortified and kinda violated that she described the way his body felt and almost condescended seeking a terrible diet, not that his folks would allow that.

"I need a shower..." He thought as he tried to block out the feel of her on his bare chest.

Even know, he felt her hands on his skin and it made him feel many uncomfortable things right now. It got worse as he kept reading her words.

"What a hunk, I so want another look at it and feel those tone arms of his. I love the feel of them and his abs, I just want to run my down them...My Pookie-bear looks so HOT without a shirt, he has such a nice bod. I didn't want to be too forward but I can't help but wonder what else is toned..."Was also added after that and in a suggestive tone.

That made him even more disturbed and kinda offended that she wrote that about him.

"H-How dare she!..."He said, feeling even more furious now.

He had to remind himself that she only thinks he's an ideal boyfriend, that he feels the same way, but it was hard to do so. She is pretty much obsessed with him now and that made him even more uneasy.

"Disappearing for years isn't looking so terrible right now..." He thought as he kept reading the diary.

"It was so exciting having in my arms and feeling all those muscles...though my little Pookie-bear seemed to get the wrong idea and actually thought we would go that far. I mean, don't get me wrong...I know that I love him... but he really shouldn't have thought we'd ever do anything like that before we're adults. Maybe when we're older...well...who knows?..." He read.

He shuddered.

He felt his blood go cold he began to sweat profusely as she pretty much just implied that she might want to take their relationship to that level someday.

"I never thought I'd ever consider this... but are those monks who remain abstinent their whole lives still a thing?..." Danny thought, wanting to be free of her as soon as possible.

"I should put this away..." He said before he saw the next page.

It wasn't text, but something else.

Danny's eyes soon found some doodles that she had and he saw what looked to be doodles of him... with Katie..

All of them holding hands, kissing, even ballroom dancing and even in places like Paris.

"You've gotta be kidding me..." He muttered with an eye roll.

Those images were pretty freaky but he nearly dropped the book when he saw the last page.

It was a doodle of Katie...in a wedding dress...and standing next to what looked to be him in a suit with top hat...and they were kissing as fireworks in the shapes of hearts went off behind them.

Next to it is pictures of eight babies laid underneath, each with blue eyes and they had either blonde or black hair. It didn't take long to realize who they're supposed to be.

He also saw hearts around them with their initials inside and also stuff like "Danny and Katie forever" and "Mrs. Katie Fenton".

"AH!..."Danny screamed as he dropped it and backed away, dropping the book.

He clapped his mouth shut, realizing how loud he was.

"Stupid!..."He thought in a panic.

"What was that?!..." Katie asked from what sounded like downstairs.

Thinking fast, Danny rushed out the bedroom and closed the door as quietly as he could. Just in time to be out of her room and close the door before she called again.

"Danny, what's wrong?..."She asked from downstairs.

"I tripped, I'm fine!..." He lied.

"Okay! Please watch your step!..." She responded.

Danny sighed in relief before recalling the pictures, drawings and words he saw.

Specifically of the drawing of the wedding dress and drawings of what he realizes would be the children she pictured.

The ghost boy gulped as he realized what this meant.

"She...she really wants me...and she's already planning our wedding..."Danny whispered, his previous fears now confirmed.

She's convinced he loves her very much and is set on marrying him when they are older, not to mention have kids together.

That was the most horrifying thing ever thought.

"I think I'd rather ask Skulker lock me in a cage..."He thought before shaking that out of his head.

An exaggeration perhaps, but Katie made him more accepting of his villains' presence than hers. Even the ones who want him dead the most. Danny walked away from her room and soon was face to face with her.

"Hey Sweetie, good you didn't get hurt..."Katie said, fluttering her eye lashes. She leaning in so close, she could give him butterfly kisses.

Danny gulped loudly before he leaned away, not wanting any affection right now. Especially after what he read.

"I just stumbled against my foot. No worries. So, why don't we get back to your folk?..."He said, maintaining a cool facade as she grabbed his hand, leading the boy to rejoin her family.

The ghost boy was more determined than ever to make sure that such that future she wants never happens.

He must tell her the truth... no matter what.

A few minutes later

Danny managed to excuse himself again and hid in a nearby closet. He was now hiding, away from Katie's family and spoke low so that they wouldn't be able to hear them as he tried to get reinforcements.

He took out the phone and started calling.

"Pick up, pick up, pick up..." He whispered harshly.

"Hello..."Was heard.

It was Sam.

"Guys, I need help!..."Danny whispered.

"Did you break up with Katie and did she morph?..."Sam asked, sounding concerned.

"Not exactly...I...uh...kinda hit a snag..."Danny said and the goth then sounded less than happy about this.

"So, I take it that you haven't dumped her yet and everything hasn't been destroyed by a rampaging monster yet?..."Sam said, partially in concern with the other being slightly snarky.

"Sam, I do not have the time for this..."Danny snapped. "This whole evening...this whole day...heck this whole experience is going to require years of therapy and lack of female presence to feel better..."He said, sounding harsh.

"Okay, monster side aside, how bad could it be?..." Sam asked.

"SHE HAS A TON OF PICTURES OF ME, AND I FOUND A DRAWING OF 8 BABIES SHE WANTS TO HAVE WITH ME!..." He whispered harshly.

There was a pause.

"Okay, that's bad..." Sam said.

"No duh! Even worse, I found her diary and her fantasy of me. Believe me when I said that what was written in it was a whole new mess of issues..."He added, sounding like he'd explode from the stress.

There was another silence and the ghost boy felt uncomfortable by it.

"Guys?..."Danny asked, hoping that they were still there.

"Sorry, but I'm wrapping my head around everything. This girl really is crazy..."

"Not to mention the fact that if you mess up, the town's in trouble, and if you don't, you could move yours and Katie's relationship up to a different level..."Tucker added.

"Not helping..."Danny said.

He was already stressed out. There was no need for more ideas, only action.

"Sorry dude, but what can we do?..."Tucker asked.

"Where are you?..."Danny asked, looking out a window.

"Um... around,,." Sam said, not telling him that they were close to the house at this moment.

"WELL THEN, GET OVER HERE AND HURRY BEFORE THEY MAKE ME A PART OF THEIR INSANE FAMILY!..."Danny shouted, hoping no one heard him.

He shuddered at the thought of being stuck with that girl and having a dozen of mini-Katie's surrounding him in the near future, all of whom would transform into ghoulish monsters.

Sam and Tucker, mostly the former, grimaced at the thought of their friend basically being pulled into a shotgun wedding.

"Danny?..." Katie called out.

Danny took a deep breath.

"Just try to come..." He said before hanging up.

The ghost boy then left the safety of the closet to rejoin the Kaboom family.

"Just play it cool..."He thought as he re-entered the room.

When he came into full view to the KaBoom family, he was then met with a smiling Katie, who grabbed his arm and brought him back to the seat next to her.

He felt his knees wobbling and his eye twitching. He felt the sooner he left, the better.

A few moments later

The ghost boy tried to keep the fake grin on his face as Mrs. Kaboom started offering more refreshments to her guests.

"I making tea, everyone..."Mrs. Kaboom said, having come from the kitchen.

Mitch soon rejoined the room and brought another drink to his wife.

"Here you go, Turtle Dove..."Mitch said as he handed it to her.

His wife took a quick sip, halted and frowned.

"My drink's too warm..."She complained.

"Uh...I'm sorry dear but it is tea..."Mitch stammered as his wife got up.

"Whatever...I'll go get ice myself..."She said as she got up.

As Tiffany took her drink inside to get some ice, Danny approached Mitch, who still looked nervous.

"You okay?..."He had to ask.

Mitch soon leaned closer and whispered to Danny.

"Run now...while you still can..."He whispered.

"I want to but I'm already too deep..."Danny thought, nervous.

Before Mitch could say anything else, Mrs. Kaboom stood up.

"Oh my, I think the tea is ready..."Katie's mother said as she was on her way.

"I'll get it, Mom..."Katie said, mostly as an excuse to get away from Tiffany.

The blonde girl went downstairs to obtain the tea, all the while Tiffany got a phone call and stood up. The dark haired woman saw the number and rolled her eyes.

"Ugh, it's Charlene from work...again..."Tiffany said as she went to the other side of the room to talk to her co-worker.

"Finally... a moment alone..." Mitch sighed in relief.

Relief that was short lived when 30 seconds later, she started yelling into her phone.

"What?! You tell me she had the nerve to say that to me?! OUTRAGEOUS!..."Tiffany yelled as everyone's eyes were on her.

Her eyes began to glow and she started snarling.

"What's going on over there?..."Danny thought as Tiffany seemed to be shaking for some reason.

However, before he could do something, Mitch suddenly went to his wife and...kissed her.

"Huh?..."Danny thought as that went on.

Tiffany stopped shaking and soon kissed him back. Once they parted, she just smiled.

"Mitch...honey...we're in front of family..."Tiffany, now calmer, chiding but her tone suggested that she wanted more.

"Uh...Sorry...Sugar...I...Uh...couldn't wait..."Mitch said nervously.

Tiffany just giggled and waved her hand at him.

"Silly..."She said teasingly, now in a better mood.

Danny was completely flabbergasted right now, it was obvious that Mitch didn't want her to be upset...and only two theories came to him as to why.

"Either she really does have powers too or their marriage is more wacky than I thought it was..."Danny thought, still unsure since he didn't have any proof but this situation was too creepy for his liking.

"Man... without my powe- wait a minute..."

He looked to the clock, realizing it's now past 15 minutes from when he should have his powers back.

"Could it be?..."He thought, hopeful.

With everyone not looking, Danny looked to his hand, it turned invisible, then he tested intangibility by punching himself in the gut. It wen through.

He smiled in relief, just as Katie arrived with the tea.

"I brought it... though we're out of this blend. I think we have more in the back..."She said while her mother checked.

"Uh oh...looks like we're out of my favorite too..."Mrs. Kaboom said, sighing in disappointment.

Danny then got an idea and spoke fast.

"Uh, Katie and I can go get it..."Danny said quickly, speaking for the both of them for once.

Katie blinked at that and thought. She then smiled and realized they would be alone.

"Finally, some alone time..."She thought in anticipation. "Yeah, Mom. Danny and I can go get it..."She said, smiling.

"Oh, thank you. Here's some money...now it's Jasmine Chamomile..."Mrs. Kaboom said as she handed her daughter the money.

"Got it, Mom..."Katie said as she took the money.

The two teens soon left while Danny mentally prepared himself for what he came to do.

"Finally, I can get her alone long enough to end all this..."Danny thought as he had no idea what she was thinking.

"Finally, I can get my hands on my Pookie-Bear..."Katie thought mischievously as they left through the front door.

They seemed eager to leave..."Mr. Kaboom said, clueless.

"Hormones..."Mrs. Kaboom said, slightly amused before recalling their guests.

"Excuse us, we need a little alone time too..."Tiffany said as she grabbed Mitch by the hand and led him to a more...private spot.

"Now? B-But this isn't our home..."Mitch muttered as she pulled him by the arm.

"Hey, I doubt they'll mind. Besides, I want a little more of what you just did..."Tiffany whispered as she lead him upstairs and out of sight.

"Weird..." Tinker said, not seeing what they're up to.

Outside

Sam, Tucker and Jazz watched Danny walk out of the house with Katie, the latter locking arms in an almost possessive manner.

They were going to create some kind of excuse to go inside and get Danny out...but before they could think of anything, they saw the two teens walk out.

"There they are..." Sam said.

"What are they saying?..." Jazz asked.

"I don't know... I can't read lips..." Sam said.

"Should we get closer?..." Tucker asked.

"No... we can't let her know we're here. Let's just follow them until we can figure out a way to get Danny away from her..." Jazz suggested.

The younger teens nodded as they soon followed them.
