Talk of Nickname Past Through Sunset Walk
"Oh, so we really aren't going to karaoke." Chopper saddens that the group decided not to karaoke today.
"Sorry Chopper, but it doesn't feel right to have fun without Jurai." Shiraoshi pointed out.
"Another thing to blame Ando for even when he's not around." Tomoyo annoyed that she didn't get to do anything fun.
"Hey come on, Jurai can't help but go do about whatever goes on his mind and feel excited for something that came from his favorite manga or anime. It may seem annoying, but that Chuni side is just so cute." Mirei believed.
"Oh please, even you think that cute then the bunnies are ugly now." Tomoyo rolled her eyes.
"Hmm, I wonder if that was who I think it was." Robin recalled seeing the person back at the school back.
"Is something on your mind, Robin-Sensei?" Sayumi asked, noticing that Robin appears to be thinking about something.
"Nothing to worry about. I just saw a person standing in front of the school gate and that one seems familiar, but I couldn't put my finger on it." Robin informed.
"Was he trespassing? Because if he is then I'm gonna have to report this to the school security and the principal." Mirei asked concern.
"I don't think so, he didn't seem to appear dangerous upon first glance and just seems to be looking at the school like he was a former student there." Robin stated.
"You got all that from just one glance?" Hakoto asked surprise.
"He did seem a little familiar though." Robin added.
"I wonder if some of us are going to do that once we graduated from high school?" Shiraoshi looked up at the sky.
"Maybe by the time it happens, Jurai won't leave his book in the classroom again." Rebecca joked and everyone laughs together.
"Yeah, he can be a scatterbrain sometimes, you know that." Hakoto chuckled.
"It's not like he needs to panic about a few nicknames, he'll come up with a bunch more in a few days." Tomoyo stated.
"Hey Hakoto, you've known Jurai the longest. Has he always been into nicknames like the ones we already know?" Shiraohi asked curiously.
"Oh yeah, you only known him through middle school when you got transferred." Hakoto remembered.
"Yeah, he's always been into nicknames and now I'm remembering the time in elementary school. We were in the same class back then, a lot of kids called me "Shish Kabob Girl" a lot." Hakoto mentioned.
"Shish Kabob Girl? It sounds like they thought you like barbeque a lot." Chopper puzzled of the name.
"In a way, but it's because of my last name being Kushikaw that not only does it kind of sound the same, but it roughly translates at Spear and Body." Hakoto explained.
"Oh, if I ever have a last name like that then I know I would be bother and angry for it." Mirei stated.
"That's how I felt back then, but then Jun-Kun came up to me and said, "You've been given a lousy nickname." So, he came up another one for me right then and there." Hakoto mentioned.
"Aw, how sweet of him." Shiraoshi smiled.
"But consider this is Jurai we're talking about, and his creativity probably wasn't much back then, he probably gave you something like Fire Phoenix." Robin guessed the nickname Jurai had in mind for Hakoto.
"Oh my god, that's exactly what he wanted my nickname to be! You hit the bullseye, teach!" Hakoto surprised and gave Robin a thumb up.
"And everyone else was like "You're kidding, right? It's gotta be some lame manga crap, then we'll just call you Hakoto." Anyway, turns out that was the end of Shish Kabob Girl." Hakoto finished her story.
"I can only imagine how sad Jurai must've been." Chopper commented.
"Hakoto, do you think there's a possibility that Ando had something else in mind for you? You know how he is." Tomoyo asked, wondering if Jurai was trying to make something more for the nickname.
"I don't think he was too deep into that." Hakoto chuckled.
"I mean, he got really sad when all the other kids say it sounds like it was something out from a bad manga, but it was just him." Hakoto said.
"But in a way, he saved you from being teased and made of fun for a long time if he hadn't done that. Saving you from the dark times like a hero." Shiraoshi believed.
"I don't know about being all heroic, but Jurai does seem to have his moments." Mirei said.
"He sure does." Sayumi agreed.
"We all know Ando is pretty much a bonehead and everything, but he's a really good guy when you take the time to think about it." Sayumi stated.
"When I first got my power, the Root of Origin, the power to restore anything was really intriguing to me. And naturally, the first thing I thought of was probably the first thing anyone would think… Could I use this new power of mine to bring people back from the dead?" Sayumi revealed of the thought she once felt of doing.
"(Holy shit, I didn't even think about that. Could that power really work?)" Mirei thought shocked and worried.
"Ando stops me from the temptation of actually trying it." Sayumi revealed another fact as she remembers that day.
(Flashback)
Jurai walks up to Sayumi who was sitting at her chair and looking up to him.
"Listen, Sayumi. Whatever you do, don't try bringing any people back to life. Seriously! Don't even try it with animals. Whether you can do it or not doesn't make a difference, it shouldn't happen." Jurai advised.
Sayumi looked a little confuse from the way he sounds and looks worry for her.
(Flashback End)
"I didn't understand then, but I do now." Sayumi nodded.
"Resurrecting the dead is not right. It's a power no one in this world should have, even if I try it and success, I'm not sure if I can cop with what I might unleash." Sayumi stated.
"Hey, I just remember that Jurai was also giving you warning about your creation power." Chopper realized.
"That's right, he told me that I should never use my power to create life. It made me scared of what I could have done if I really wanted to create something." Chifuyu explained, hugging onto her stuff squirrel.
"To be honest, if either of you have done something like that then I'm not sure if I should continue my path of becoming a doctor and the meaning to face death and helping life would be pointless for me." Chopper hoped strongly of becoming the world's greatest doctor.
"I was always taught to always be strong to protect the weak, and I was really worried when I got my super strength until Jurai told me something similar and to be careful not to hurt anyone." Rebecca remembered that time.
"In fact, I think that was the first time I have ever seen Jurai being so serious about something and not saying anything stupid." Rebecca chuckled.
"That's because Jurai has the biggest heart than anyone in the world, he's always looking out for us in his own special way to keep us safe like studying our powers and even giving us cool names for them to make us feel more special than we ever felt before!" Shiraoshi said strongly in belief of her love Chuni.
"I have to say, I didn't really think much about Jurai for some time before the whole misunderstanding with the letter, but for some reason I felt like I was drawn to him." Mirei chuckled.
"The names were Chuni and weird, but he's very sweet. And he's shouldering our burden." Sayumi added.
"Yeah, I even like the ones he gave me for my new forms." Chopper nodded.
Tomoyo have thought about this for a bit thinking Jurai does have his little moments of being serious about something and maybe a bit cool, but the rest are still the stupid Chuni guy she comes to know since the day they met.
"Oh please, you're overthinking this. We all know Ando doesn't have that much mental capacity." Tomoyo reminded everyone.
"Yeah, yeah, the only thing Ando thinks much about are the settings for all of his weird fantasies." Sayumi nodded.
"Ando is Captain Chūnibyō." Chifuyu said.
"Yep, you got it, Chifuyu. He's a big dingle berry." Hakoto smiled.
"Oh come on, you guys were just thinking of Jurai being cool and stuff!" Shiraoshi pouted causing everyone in the group to laugh.
"I'm sorry, I know he's my boyfriend too, but even I couldn't help but see him so funny like that." Mirei laughed and hoping the laughing tears won't come out.
"I just hope he knows we're always there for him even when he's the one feeling sad in the darkness." Robin said out loud getting everyone's attention.
"What do you mean by that?" Chifuyu asked.
"Jurai has always shown to be the one with the most positive and bright soul than anyone I know wanting to bring some joy, but this also got me concern that he may also feel sad like he's been alone and may never truly feel like he belongs anywhere." Robin concerned.
"Not to mention he may also have his own mental limit like if something were to make him snap and suddenly loses control of his power, sucking everything into his darkness." Robin said.
This made everyone worry for Jurai as they haven't thought of him going through some hard things by himself and there is also his darkness power, everyone knows even himself can be very dangerous if use wrong and out in rage or whatever which got his first two girlfriends very worry for him.
"Like I said, you're overthinking this way too much." Tomoyo chuckled.
"It's like you just said, Ando is stupidly positive that it's like he doesn't know of the meaning negative. So, the chances of him EVER being all sad and down angry is like slim to none." Tomoyo pointed out.
"This is Jurai Ando we're talking about." Tomoyo smiled, feeling her heart beating a bit faster for some reason.
"Yeah, you're totally right." Shiraoshi nodded as everyone else agrees.
"I'm going back to school!" Shiraoshi turned around towards the direction of the school.
"Hold on, I think Jurai may have already left by now!" Mirei stated.
But before Shiraoshi could respond to that, she heard her phone buzzing from her schoolbag and pulls it out to see that Jurai just send her a text message.
"Oh, Jurai just said he already found his book and has left the school." Shiraoshi informed.
"Huh, I was worried that he would be locked away inside the school and turned the Literature Club into a barbaric fort." Robin said.
"How can you say that with a straight face?" Rebecca asked shock.
"Oh, he also says that he just met someone awesome and is hanging out with him now." Shiraoshi mentioned.
"I wonder who could that be?" Tomoyo asked raising an eyebrow.
(With Jurai and Kiryū)
Jurai and Kiryū are seen sitting together at a little restaurant which the latter asked for him to come so they can have more darkness talk about sins and all and talking about how cool with their nicknames have meanings. And Kiryu's first name is actually Hajima.
"Heldkaiser is a play on Hell and kaiser, the Emperor of Hell or Hell Caesar if you prefer. Luci-First is Lucifer the Morningstar, loved but eventually a Fallen Angel. Every part of that name is symbolist is the rebellion against God." Jurai read over Hajima's book.
"Magnificent!" Jurai amazed of having to read such an amazing book.
"You're pretty cool yourself. Goodness, I thought I was just gonna play with you guys, but instead I found someone who got it." Hajima chuckled.
"So, think it was a coincidence we met, Guiltia Sin Jurai?" Hajima asked with a smirk.
"Now that you mention, it was predestined, wasn't it? Master Kiryū Heldkaiser Luci-First!" Jurai excited.
"Wait, what did you mean play with us? What are you visiting the Literature Club for?" Jurai asked.
"Well, I was a member when I was at that school and not only that, but I also happened to be the former homeroom student of Nico Robin." Hajima revealed.
"No way! That it is destiny for us to meet!" Jurai excited.
Then a ringing sound can be heard from Hajima's jacket as he pardons himself to answer the call as he can probably tell who that might be.
"It's me, what do you need?" Hajima asked.
"Now hang on a second, isn't that something your people on the war management committee are supposed to be taken care of on your own without getting my people mix up in your mess?" Hajima asked, feeling annoyed.
"You're obviously not trying to negotiate with people who could be a threat to your little war council. You're going to crush them the first chance they get you, you're not fooling anyone and it's disgusting." Hajima angered.
"Whatever, I was probably gonna have to take out those little fools myself the longer all this went on. They need to know the real emperor of this battlefield is, I think they need a reminder." Hajima said.
"(I have no idea of what he and other person he's talking to is going on about, but it's so cool!)" Jurai thought amazed.
"Power like God? Can I stop you if I heard that one before? No, seriously, the bigger the mouth the more I want to put my fist right through it. They can kiss my ass!" Hajima snapped a bit before hanging up.
"Apologizes, some pigsty business back at the office." Hajima smiled.
"Okay, we'll just leave it as that." Jurai chuckled, feeling like he doesn't want to know what Hajima was really talking about on the phone.
"Now, where were we? Oh yeah, giving chuni names and things." Hajima just rememberd.
"Y-Yeah, that's right." Jurai said though look a bit down.
"What's the problem? You look a little depress." Hajima asked.
"It's kind of… hard to say." Jurai said while quickly thinking of something to talk about.
"So, huh, Kiryu, do you really think a guy like me is a chūnibyō?" Jurai asked. This got Hajima by surprise a bit and interest to hear what this kid has to say.
"Well, let me ask you this." Hajima took out a cigar and light it.
"How would you divine chūnibyō?" Hajima asked.
"I guess I would say… It's me not lying about the person I wanna be." Jurai answered in his own way.
"Okay, I'll buy that. A little small, but I'll buy that." Hajima grinned a little.
"There are different ways of being chūnibyō, but they all start the same. The root is self-denial, it involves a person creating different versions of themselves and a different world for themselves to live in." Hajima started his thoughts on chūnibyō.
"But here's the funny thing, it's because you want other people to accept you. You wanna be someone else, but you want everybody else to like who you truly are. Bitter self-denial with a bitter hope of creating a perfect version of yourself." Hajima explained.
"So, it's an unresolved paradox." Jurai figured out where he is going with this.
"An Endless Paradox." Hajima said shocking Jurai that he heard of those two words before.
"What do you mean?" Jurai asked.
"Ando, is that you?" Tomoyo asked.
Jurai looks up from Kiryu to see that it's Tomoyo here along with Shiraoshi and Mirei.
"Whoa, what are you girls doing here?" Jurai asked surprise.
"I drop by to get some studying this afternoon, this restaurant is always pretty calm and quite." Tomoyo answered.
"I'm here because I needed help with my studies a couple of certain subjects." Shiraoshi explained her side.
"I'm also here for some studying time and helping these two out, figure I could use a little free time before heading more." Mirei explained herself.
"So Jurai, did you managed to find your Bloody Vivre book?" Shiraoshi asked.
"Yeah, he found it and was also in our clubroom too." Jurai gestured his hand to Hajima.
When Tomoyo turns her head to see the person who found Jurai's book, her eyes widen of shock and her hands loosen letting her bag drop to the floor.
"Long time no see, Endless Paradox." Hajima smirked.
"How do you know my brother?" Tomoyo asked.
"What? He's your brother?!" Jurai gasped.
"You have a brother?!" Shiraoshi and Mirei gasped as well.
KO a new chapter is done and hope you all enjoy it!
Well, the girls certainly had an interesting conversation about Jurai and his chūnibyō way that he is cool in a way but also a dork while Jurai has also done some deep talking with Hajima and more shocking to discover that he is the older brother of Tomoyo.
