Disclaimer: I do not own Fairy Tail.

AN: Just something short and fluffy. My brother unintentionally was the inspiration for this. Also, the song Faithfully by Journey inspired this as well. When he goes to the gym to work out, he has a work out playlist. As always, I apologize for any spelling or grammar mistakes. I'm open to requests or ideas you would like to see, although I can't guarantee I can get to all of them. I think it would be an enjoyable challenge for me and it will make me push myself. As always, enjoy and I love hearing any feedback.

Laxus was currently out on a mission with the Thunder Legion. He said that he would be back later that day to help Lucy clean his attic. Decluttering things, he needed no more and organizing whatever was left that he wanted to leave in the attic. Whatever was in excellent condition would be donated to those in need.

Lucy brought down another box from the attic and let it down with a groan. She hoped Laxus would get home soon. There was a lot of stuff to go through and her back was hurting from all that carrying. She was about to head back to gather another box when her leg bumped into a CD storage rack. The CDs went spilling on the floor. Lucy whimpered because she knew she made more work for herself.

Lucy picked up the CDs one-by-one and took the time to look at the cover at each one. Most of the CDs comprised rock and heavy metal (ranging from classics to more modern). She smiled fondly at each one. She had to admit Laxus had good taste in music. She was skeptical at first when he offered to show her the songs on his soundpod because Laxus had a questionable taste in things. Prime example being that horrible animal print shirt he wore when they first met each other, back when he was a jerk. Lucy shuddered when she recalled that shirt. What on Earth was he thinking when he bought that? First thing she did after they moved in together was make Natsu burn that shirt. Something like that should not exist in this world. Luckily he had better taste in music and he got Lucy on board with all of his favorites.

Lucy started to slide the CDs back into place in their slots. She paused in her task when she saw something scribbled on the cover of one of the cases. Her eyebrows rose when she read the name on the disk and giggled. No freaking way, she thought, her eyes wide in disbelief. It said, Battle Entrance Music.

No wonder Laxus always has his sound pods on before a battle or when shows up to a fight, she thought amusedly. An idea went through her head and she snickered. "Let's go see what's on it."

She headed downstairs to the living room and popped the disk in the music player. Music started to play and the instruments of a familiar song came on. "Of course he has Eye of the Tiger by Survivor as the first song," muttered Lucy and rolled her eyes. "Who doesn't?"

Lucy pressed the next button to skip the current song and play another. Lucy deadpanned when she heard the familiar sounds of a guitar and cymbals being played furiously. It was AC/DC's Thunderstruck. "Why am I not surprised? My boyfriend's ego is that big," she mumbled under her breath. I wonder if that's his catchphrase when he hits people with his lightning, she thought and giggled when she pictured the scenario.

Her boyfriend with his imposing figure standing over his defeated opponent who was on the ground unconscious. His arms crossed over his chest, his coat swaying with the wind. He opens his mouth to say to his defeated enemy. "You've been thunderstruck," he said in a serious tone.

Lucy fell on the ground laughing her butt off. She was too busy laughing or else she would have heard the sound of the front door opening.

Laxus POV:

Laxus just finished a mission with the Thunder Legion and was on his way home. The Thunder Legion tried to come with him, but he said he had personal errands to run first and they left him by himself. Their mission was in Acalypha, something Laxus chose on purpose. There were some people he had to talk to and meet.

He headed to the Heartfilia mansion and headed towards the graves marked Layla and Jude Heartfillia.

Laxus stood there staring at the graves feeling nervous and wondered what he should say. Finally, he took a breath and talked.

"I stand here before you to ask for your daughter's hand in marriage and receive your blessings. I care about her deeply and want to spend the rest of my life with her. I know that I am a flawed man who has made mistakes, but Lucy still chooses to be with me despite knowing everything I've done. She makes me strive to be a better man and continue to be one. I promise you I will love and protect her till my last dying breath because she means everything to me. I can't imagine being in a world without her." He closed his eyes and continued with a soft smile, "You can rest easy now. I assure you she is in capable hands."

Laxus opened his eyes and saw a flower petal get dropped in front of him. He smiled. It was as if the universe listened to his speech and gave him the answer he needed. He whispered a thank you and left the mansion, feeling an intense urge to see Lucy and her bright smile. Although it was something that would have to wait because he had to make another stop.

After finishing what he needed to do, he teleported to their house.

He patted the object in his pocket for safekeeping and to make sure it was actually still there. He took a deep breath to calm his nerves and entered his home. It did not surprise him to hear music blasting throughout the house. Ever since he got Lucy on board with his favorites, music was constantly put out loud.

What did surprise him when he entered the living room was seeing Lucy on the ground laughing at one of his favorites; AC/DC's Thunderstruck. He has heard that song thousands of times and not once did he find anything humorous about it.

To each their own, thought Laxus, trying to fight back the smile that threatened to form on his face. Seeing that Lucy still hasn't noticed him, he went up to the music player and paused the song.

Lucy looks up to see Laxus crouching down, and he says, "What's so funny?"

"Ah it was nothing," she panted slightly out of breath from all that laughing. "I found this album and had a funny thought, that's all." Lucy bit the side of her mouth to prevent a smile from forming.

"You found AC/DC's album Razor's Edge funny," asked Laxus, perplexed. The song Thunderstruck was a single from their album Razor's Edge.

Lucy shook her head no. "The name of this album isn't named Razor's Edge. This album happens to be a special one," Lucy says as she fought the urge to laugh.

This confused Laxus. If the name of this album wasn't Razor's Edge, then what was it? He ejected the disk from the music player and felt his face grow hot when he recognized his handwriting and the name of the playlist. It was something he put together a long time ago when he first achieved S-Class, back when he was a teenager. He thought listening to music during battles was cool, and it was something he still did today.

"What song did you listen to today when you battled that Dark Guild," teased Lucy and snickered when she saw a pink tinge form on his cheeks.

"It pumps me up, babe. It makes me feel badass," he mumbled as he stood up and faced the other direction. He felt his face grow even hotter in embarrassment. Out of all the things she had to find, she found one of the few things he didn't want her to know about. So what if he enjoys having entrance music before his battles? It makes the fights more epic.

Lucy stood up and wrapped her arms around his waist, him still facing the other direction. "Hey entrance music or not, I still think you're a badass," she said, consoling Laxus. She also added to lighten the situation, "And you'll still have the best ass."

Laxus turned around to embrace Lucy. "Nah, when it comes to the best ass, you have us all beat," he countered, giving her a wolfish grin.

Lucy smiled back at him, and with her fingers, traced circles over his hips. As she was feeling him all over, she felt something in his pocket and got curious.

"Hmmm, what you got there in your pocket," she inquired. She wondered what it was since it was in a small box.

Laxus looked like a deer caught in headlights when Lucy asked him that question. He actually wasn't planning on a proposal until much later, wanting to plan something special. He racked his brain to find an excuse but decided to throw caution to the wind. He loves her. She loves him. What could possibly stop him from proposing? He was 99% sure she would not turn him down.

Although there was that 1% of doubt in the corner of his mind that listed all the reasons she should reject his proposal.

Screw it, he thought, moving away from her and taking the box out of his pocket. What matters is her saying yes.

Lucy felt her heart stop for a moment and then pump blood into overdrive when she saw Laxus get down on a knee. She was bursting with excitement, bouncing in place, impatiently waiting for Laxus to say the magic words.

He got down on one knee and opened the velvet box, which contained an engagement ring. "Lucy Heartfilia, will you… mmph.."

Laxus's proposal gets muffled when Lucy flings herself towards him and kisses him deeply. He was caught off guard and she almost knocked them both over. Before he could respond to the kiss, Lucy breaks it off.

"So, is that a yes," asked Laxus, wanting to hear confirmation from her mouth. For all he knew, she probably really liked the ring since she didn't hear the rest of his proposal.

"Yes, yes, yes, a thousand times yes," screamed Lucy in delight, practically ripping the box off Laxus's hand and putting the ring on.

Laxus held back a chuckle. He was worried for nothing. He gazed fondly at Lucy. He felt like the happiest man in the world.

Lucy holds her hand up toward the ceiling, gazing at her new engagement ring. She was staring at it with tears in her eyes, as if it was the most precious thing in the universe.

"So, can I choose the song when you make your entrance, walking down the aisle?"

Lucy smacked Laxus's arm as he let out a boisterous laugh.

"I'm serious. I was thinking of using Journey. Imagine strolling down the aisle to Journey."

"No, Laxus."

"What about Queen?! They have great songs. We can use We are the Champions!"

"For the last time Laxus, no!"
