Chapter Fourteen: The Tournament of Water-
Part 5- The Final Round
The Charizard and the Machoke stood on opposite sides of the arena and prepared to end the tournament of water. Everyone in the stands were sitting on the edge of their seats and waited to see what would happen with this battle. The Butterfree flew over the ring once again and looked to the contending Pokémon and looked to Blitz first, "Contender, are you ready?"
(Cue Kakarot vs Broly from DBS)
"Hm." Blitz nodded and the Butterfree seemed to like the answer this time. Turning to Barry he asked, "Contender, are you ready?"
"Yep." Barry answered and started loosening himself up for the match. The Butterfree quickly took off as he knew that it was about to get intense. Blitz flared out his wings before letting loose a loud roar that made the ground shake.
Blitz the Charizard
Barry laughed before deciding to play that little game. Like a wild Rillaboom, the Machoke started pounding his chest. When he finished, Barry took a stance as he looked to the Charizard.

With a yell the two then launched forward before lashing out a fist. They came together in an epic clash and they ended up sliding backwards. Barry dropped down and did a wide spin kick while standing on his hands. Blitz had to raise his hands to try and block the kicks. The Charizard was able to block a few before backing up and using a strong flap of his wings to create a gust of wind that knocked the Machoke off balance. Barry rolled backwards before standing upright again. He pulled off a series of striking poses before standing at the ready for his opponent.
Sayonara!
"The battle seems to going a lot differently than the other fights." Brock observed from the stands. Cynthia looked to her brother and said, "That's mostly because the other fights were mostly between Pokémon who didn't know each other that well. Even though they've only known each other for only a day, they're on better terms."
"I guess you could say that they're sort of friends." Bonnie shrugged with a grin. Sam laughed a little when he put in, "But they're more like rivals during this match."

They all cringed when Donna shushed them, and became quiet again when they looked back down to the arena. Barry brought his hands together before firing a Focus Blast attack at Blitz. Quickly turning around, Blitz threw an Ember from his tail. The fire hit the blast before it could hit the Charizard and created an explosion between the two fighters.
Blitz!
The crowd was starting to get excited and started cheering for either of the two Pokémon. Blitz looked about for his opponent when he saw Barry emerging from the air through the cloud of smoke and came down at him. Blitz moved out of the way when he came down and Barry landed in a superhero pose. The impact created a crater and cracks into the ground. Rising to his feet, Barry stood at the ready as Blitz took to the air and flew at him. His wings glowed and he tried to use Wing Attack on his opponent. The Machoke Bulked Up when he crossed his arms. The attack made Barry slide a little and he looked to the Charizard as the Flame Pokémon landed again.

Barry rushed forward and started lashing out punches like crazy and it put Blitz on the defensive as he backed up. He started off well of blocking the blows, but one was able to sneak past him and smacked into his snout. Blitz's head snapped from the blow and Barry came at him. He got an arm around the Charizard's neck and put him in a headlock. Blitz struggled to get out of the Machoke's grip but was finding it a little difficult. Then opening his jaws, Blitz unleashed a small stream of fire that circled around him and Barry. Barry became worried as Blitz was using a Fire Spin attack. The flames came around and Barry cried out from the searing pain. But when he loosened his grip, Blitz jerked himself from Barry's grip.

Then grabbing Barry from behind, Blitz opened his wings and took to the sky. Barry cried out as he was lifted higher and higher into the sky. Blitz started flying in circles and it ended up making Barry dizzy. With a sharp turn of his body, Blitz held onto his opponent's wrist before flinging him down with Seismic Toss. Barry ended up crashing into the ground with a hard bang. Everyone in the stands winced from the hard hit as Barry shakily started to rise up again out of the crater.
Blitz turned and flew straight towards the Machoke. Barry clutched his head before looking up into the sky just in time to see the Charizard coming down at him. Acting fast, Barry leapt up into air with a spin kick that knocked the Flame Pokémon off course. Blitz was able to right himself and landed with a slide. Blitz gave another roar before charging at the Superpower Pokémon. The two fighting Pokémon entered another power struggle ad tried to push each other each other over. They both tried to get an advantage by using Scary Face and it only caused them both to start laughing.
"How much longer do you think they'll go at it?" Aurora asked Donna. The Bastiodon shook her head, "Only Arceus knows how much longer this will last."
A little ways away from Blitz's friends, Tar was once again sitting by Dragara and Drudd's side. The Tyranitar looked to the Druddigon and said, "They seem to be evenly matched."
"The Charizard should have finished it by now." Drudd said and scoffed. Dragara spoke up, "Blitz knows that he doesn't have to go all out against a friend."
"There are hardly any friends in this competition." Drudd glared, surprising his adopted sister. Even Tar gave him a questioning look and the Cave Pokémon just turned his attention back to the fight.
Both Blitz and Barry shouted as they reared a fist back. But when they launched them forward, the fists didn't hit each other and up smacking the other Pokémon in the face. They both stumbled back from each other. With a determined look, both Pokémon looked like they were ready to end it.
Sayonara!
Barry brought his hands together and built his energy before jumping into the air and firing a Focus Blast. Quickly spreading his wings, Blitz took off to the side and the blast hit the arena instead. Blitz flew around the Machoke and fired his Dragon Breath attack. Barry made a comically panicked face before jumping out of the way.

After a tuck and roll maneuver, Barry jumped up at the Charizard and powered up his fist for a Dynamic Punch. The fist hit its mark and sent Blitz falling to the ground. The Flame Pokémon landed in the ground with a boom.
Blitz
Barry landed on the ground and rushed at Blitz who was just starting to pick himself back up. Holding his hands up, the Superpower Pokémon started Cross Chopping like there was no tomorrow. Blitz winced from each blow as they knocked him back. But Blitz was also using it to his advantage, for each hit he took it built up one of his special abilities.

The Charizard scooted back enough to open his maw and fired Rage at point blank. The Machoke was very surprised by this as he was hit by the blast. Barry tumbled away from Blitz and quickly got back up on his feet. He winced from the pain from the attack and gingerly rubbed the inflicted area. When Barry tried to go for another attack, he grunted in pain before falling to his knee.

Blitz took the opportunity to rush forward with a fist raised. Barry winced when he saw the attack coming. But as the Charizard drew closer, he remembered his and Barry's words after the free for all. And just when he lashed his fist out, Blitz stopped himself just a few inches from Barry's face. This greatly surprised all the Pokémon in the stands.

When he didn't feel any pain, Barry slowly opened his eyes to see his opponent, no his friend, withdrawing his hand a little. Opening his talons, Blitz turned his hand around and said, "Whose to say that it can't end in a tie."
The Superpower Pokémon looked to the Flame Pokémon with great surprise. Then a smile grew on Barry's face as he took Blitz's hand. The Charizard helped the Machoke back to his feet before turning to the crowd of Pokémon. Looking together they shouted in unison, "We're ending this match in a draw!"
This caused a little confusion in the others as they looked and talked to each other. The Butterfree flew down to them and asked, "Are you sure you want to end it this way?"
"We are." Blitz nodded his consent. Barry wrapped an arm around his friend and squeezed a little when he said, "We both agreed that this whole fighting for the water thing is stupid."
"So, since we're technically both the winners, we decided to let everyone have a shot at the water." Blitz said loud enough for all to here.
This caused some happy chatter amongst the Pokémon and they agreed to this. Blitz looked to where his family and friends were and could see them proudly smiling at him. And though he wasn't looking in her direction, Dragara was also looking to the Charizard with a proud and surprised smile.

A great deal out from the oasis, the Tyrantrums were still walking through the large desert. They were following along the trail before them and could tell that the scent of all the Pokémon ahead were getting stronger with each step. But a new scent came to the bigger Despot Pokémon and he looked about. He spotted something a distance away from them and it was in the opposite direction of where they were going. The bigger Rock-Dragon Type gave a nudge the other one. The smaller Tyrantrum looked to his comrade and the bigger one motioned with his head to where the scent was coming from. The scent was coming from a bunch of rock formations that would tower over a majority of Pokémon.
The two Tyrantrums looked to each other before changing course to see what this new terrain held; whether it be some water, or prey.

Author's Note: And with that, the tournament for the water is over. I did enjoy writing that and I know that it wasn't a tournament like you were expecting. In the next chapter, everyone gets to have a little relaxation and a few big things are going to happen as well. I look forward to reading your reviews.
