Paw Patrol- Pups help a Saiyan

After an experiment that went horribly wrong, Goku finds himself whisked off to another world; one that had a team of talking pups. Goku will team up with the Paw Patrol whether it be for missions or upcoming threats. And remember, whenever you're in trouble, just yelp for help.

5. Chapter 5: Goku's Origin Part 2

Disclaimer: I do not own the characters of either Dragon Ball Z or Paw Patrol, only how the story goes. The characters of Dragon Ball Z belongs to Akira Toriyama and the characters of Paw Patrol belongs to Nickelodeon and Nick Jr. The only thing that I do own are the OC's of the story. I apologize for any errors in grammar and/or if I was not accurate in reference to something.

A/N: And now we get to the Z story of the backstory. I might have to ask for some help of deciding how the Paw Patrol was formed.

Chapter Five: Goku's Origin Story- Dragon Ball Z (Well a good deal of it)

"You have a bwother, Goku?" Zuma asked with wide eyes. Goku nodded and said, "Yeah, I did. But I'll get into that part soon." Then he said, "But let me go back a little to before I met my brother.

"It mostly started on a sunny day four years after the tournament." Goku started, "I was tending to a few chores and had just cut down a big enough tree for firewood. When I got back to the house, Chi-Chi had been looking for Gohan for a little while. He had promised to be home by the time I got back so we could go and visit Master Roshi after so long, but he must have lost track of the time.

"So hopping on to the Flying Nimbus I went out to search for him." Goku was stopped when Marshall raised his paw. Then Goku said, "What is it, Marshall?"

"Uh, who exactly is Gohan?" The Dalmatian asked, feeling a little lost. Goku then said, "Oh, Gohan is my son back on my Earth. I had named him after my adopted Grandpa."

"Aw, how sweet." Skye said with a grin. Goku then continued his story, "After trying to save Gohan from a raging river and going over a waterfall-"

The news caused everyone to gasp, but their fears were calmed when Goku told them, "But he actually jumped incredibly high to a tree branch above the waterfall. It had surprised me a good deal since he was so young at the time, but after calming him down and having some lunch we set off for Master Roshi's island."

"Ooh." The pups said, thinking that a martial arts master lived on his own island. Goku then said, "When we arrived at the island, Master Roshi, Krillin and Bulma were all there and were so surprised to see me after so long. They were even more shocked to see my son in my arms. Then they got really surprised when I told them that he was my son."

They all started to laugh at this. Goku then continued, "But as we were all having fun, I sensed a large power level coming right at us. At first I thought it was Piccolo coming to exact his revenge, but I was way wrong when a man in strange armor dropped from the sky.

"All four of us were shocked to see him and he stood across the small beach. Me and my friends and Gohan were really shocked to learn that he was my older brother. He said that his name was Raditz and then he started to ask me all these questions that I didn't really understand." Goku said. Then he added, "He became really shocked to learn that I didn't have my tail anymore. It was then that I learned a little of how my Grandpa Gohan had found me. My brother apparently was telling the truth about me being an alien coming to Earth. He had come looking for me to help him and a few of his buddies try and conquer another world. But me and everyone on the beach could apparently feel that my brother was evil."

"Like, evil twin sort of evil, or just evil-evil?" Chase asked. Goku then said, "The second one."

"Oh." Chase said as his ears fell against his head. Goku then said, "After some words between us, my brother gave me a choice to prove my loyalty."

"What was he wanting you to do?" Rubble asked, feeling fearful of the answer. Even Goku didn't like it as he said, "He wanted me to kill a hundred humans and have their bodies on the beach by the next morning."

Everyone went green to hearing that. Goku then said, "But when I refused to join him, he didn't take too kindly to that and went after my son to try and convince me."

Again the pups gasped at this. The Saiyan then said, "I tried to fight him off, but he was actually in a league much higher than me. He was able to knock me aside and grabbed my son.

"After he flew off with Gohan, my friends tried to tend to me. But I didn't want to stay down. Calling on the Flying Nimbus, I was about to go off and try to get Gohan back. But they were right to tell me that I was no match for my brother."

"So what did you do?" Rubble asked. Goku then said, "Well, as we were trying to come up with a strategy, it turns out that Piccolo had somehow arrived to the island."

"Piccolo?!" The pups all questioned. Goku nodded and chuckled, "Yeah, it turns out that he was one of the first few to run into Raditz. But he came up with the plan for the two of us to work together in order to fight him. With not a lot of options, me and Piccolo teamed up to fight my brother."

"But how were you able to go after Raditz?" Skye asked. Then she pointed out, "He could have been anywhere on your Earth while you were talking."

"That is true, Sky." Goku nodded in agreement. Then he said, "But luckily, I had put the Four-Star Ball on my son's hat. And Bulma just so happened to have the Dragon Radar with her at the time."

"And so you could track the Dragon Ball since it was with Gohan." Chase deduced. Goku nodded again to confirm this and continued his story, "So, the two of us made our way to where my brother's pod had landed. He was surprised to see us, but seemed to be disappointed when I wouldn't go along with him."

"Why did your brother want you to help him conquer worlds, anyway?" Ryder asked. Goku gave a shrug as he said, "He said that it was how the Saiyans had done to gain their business finances, even though that kind of stuff alludes me."

Ryder and the pups gave him deadpanned looks but somewhat smiled from it. Goku then continued, "So me and Piccolo started fighting my brother. And it wasn't easy, I can tell you that. My brother was more than a match for the both of us. We were barely able to hit him since he was so strong, and he was able to destroy Piccolo's arm." A gasp came from his audience, "But Piccolo was able to hit him once with his Special Beam Cannon. Even though it only grazed his shoulder and destroyed his armor, the beam was strong enough to make a hole through a mountain."

"Wow." The pups and Ryder said in amazement, even though they were unsure of how to think of Piccolo at the moment. Goku then continued, "But since he had moved out of the way, he looked to get serious in the fight. But I was able to get the drop on Raditz by grabbing his tail."

"And since it was a major weakness, you had him beaten." Zuma said with wide eyes. Goku nodded and said, "Yeah, and all I had to do was hold him until Piccolo charged up his attack again. But then my brother tried to convince me that he would change his ways if I were to let him go."

"You didn't believe him, did you?" Rocky asked, but feeling that the answer was one that he wouldn't like. Goku nodded and said, "Yeah, I kind of did. I loosened my grip on his tail, much to Piccolo's disbelieving anger and to my own foolishness. Raditz rose up on his feet and used his elbow to knock me back. When I hit the ground, I found my brother standing over me and he started stomping hard on my chest."

The pups all winced from this while Goku continued, "But while I was crying out in pain and Piccolo couldn't do anything to help without being killed himself, the strangest thing happened, my son burst out of Raditz's pod with incredible power. All three of us were shocked to see Gohan displaying such power through his anger. And then like a rocket Gohan flew at Raditz before dealing a good blow to my brother's chest."

"Good one, Gohan!" All the pups howled in excitement. Goku smiled and continued, "But after that one blow, Gohan's power seemed to drop back down to normal and Raditz was still kicking. He swatted Gohan away and it knocked him out." Another gasp came from the pups, but let Goku continue his story, "Raditz was more than willing to kill all three of us, but in a desperate act since he had been dealt a serious blow, I was able to grab him from behind again and hold him in place. I yelled to Piccolo to hurry up and get his attack ready."

"And then you'd be able to jump out of the way. Right, Goku?" Marshall asked. But Goku shook his head and then told them, "No, I had sustained to much damage from the fight and used all my strength to hold Raditz in place. Piccolo told me that he had come up with the move for our next encounter and said that the moment was perfect for his revenge."

"You got to be kidding me. He was still thinking of revenge?" Chase questioned. Rubble shook his head and said, "The guy needs to learn to let some things go."

"I know right." Goku said with a grin. Then he continued, "So he fired and the attack went straight through me and Raditz. It was enough to stop Raditz and the two of us fell to the ground. But as we lay on the ground dying, Raditz then informed us that two other Saiyans on a faraway had been listening to the battle and heard about the Dragon Balls when Piccolo talked about them."

"I can imagine that it didn't mean anything good." Ryder said while tightening a bolt onto the back. Goku shook his head and said, "Nope. Raditz informed us that the other two would more than likely arrive on Earth in one year's time. And after he breathed his last, Bulma, Master Roshi and Krillin arrived on the scene. But it was basically too late for me as I was starting to fade."

The pups started to whimper at the news, but Goku reassured them and said, "Hey, don't be like that, you guys. Remember that there was a silver lining."

"Oh, yeah." Marshall said as he started to remember. He looked to the other pups and reminded, "They already had the Four-Star Dragon Ball, now all they needed to do was get the other six and they were able to revive Goku."

"Oh, yeah." The other five pups and Ryder nodded. Goku then said, "But after being brought to Otherworld by Kami, I was instructed to receive new training from a master there. I was told that he lives at the end of a path called Snake Way."

Skye shivered at the name, but Goku alleviated her fears by saying, "Don't worry, it wasn't an actual snake, but it was long and curvy like one. Anyway, before making my way across, I had asked the person who brought me to Snake Way to give a message to Fortuneteller Baba, saying that I needed my friends to hold off on bringing me back to life until a year had passed."

"How long was it gonna take you to get acwoss Snake Way, Goku?" Zuma asked. Goku then said, "Well, it took me about… six months to reach the end, but that was mostly because Snake Way was a million miles long."

"A million miles?!" All the pups and Ryder asked with shocked faces. Ryder then asked, "Has anyone ever made it across before?"

"Maybe a few others, but I do know that King Yemma did." Goku nodded as he remembered what the guide had said. Rubble arched a brow and asked, "King Yemma?"

"Yeah, he's the guy who checks souls into either Heaven or H.F.I.L." Goku informed while pointing up and then downward. The seven all went, "Oh."

"So after making my way across Snake Way, and I had to be careful so I didn't fall off and get stuck in H.F.I.L. I finally made it to the end." Goku continued. Then he said, "But at first I was confused since there was nothing at the end, but when I looked up I could see a small planet in the sky. I jumped towards it but when I was really close to it, my body got heavy and was pulled down, or up, to the planet's surface."

"Why was that?" Rocky asked. Goku then said, "I'll explain in a minute. I tried to push myself up but found that it was extremely difficult. When I was finally on my feet, I looked up and saw a little brown monkey standing there and at first I thought he was King Kai."

"Really?" Chase asked while arching a brow of his own. Goku chuckled and he said, "Yeah, but after imitating the monkey, I heard a voice to the side and when I looked I saw a man with blue skin and antennae standing there."

"And that was the same King Kai that we heard, right?" Skye asked, remembering the voice from earlier. Goku nodded and said, "Yep. That was him. King Kai, the watcher over the North Galaxy."

"So, you started training with him?" Chase asked. Goku gave an awkward look as he said, "Not exactly at first. First I had to prove myself to him. The first thing he had me do was to make him laugh."

"Make him laugh?" The pups asked before looking to each other. Goku nodded and then said, "Yeah, I had to think hard about the jokes, but when I told them I got a reaction from him. By the second joke, King Kai had busted out laughing."

Ryder and the pups all started laughing as well at the thought. Goku then said, "Then he said that I had to catch Bubbles the monkey as my next task."

"The monkey from eawliew?" Zuma asked. Goku nodded and said, "But it was much harder than telling jokes. Bubbles had been accustomed to living on King Kai's tiny planet for so long that he was able to move a lot quicker and easier than I could. King Kai told me that since the planet was so small, the gravity had to be ten times as strong as Earth's so people didn't jump off and float away. I tried to make myself lighter by taking off my heavier clothes, but King Kai said that I would do better if I kept them on.

"So after a little more time of chasing Bubbles, I was able to catch him." Goku said, "Then my next task came by having to chase a talking cricket by the name of Gregory. And he could fly very fast."

"What did you have to do?" Ryder asked. Goku then said, "Well, the only tool that I could use was mallet that King Kai had given me."

"He wanted you to hit a cricket with a mallet?" Marshall asked, finding it a little weird. Goku then said, "He didn't say to hit him hard, which I didn't. But after chasing Gregory for a little while, I decided to do it a little differently and threw the hammer hard so it would fly across the planet."

"Across the planet?" Ryder asked. Rocky then took up by asking, "How exactly big is King Kai's world?"

"Uh…" Goku said as he tried to think about it. Then he said, "Think of this island like a miniature planet, but maybe a little bigger."

"Now that's a small planet." Rubble commented. Goku chuckled and said, "Yeah, it is. But after throwing the mallet, I turned around and ran in the opposite direction. When I could see Gregory and the mallet I was able to grab the mallet and lightly tap the cricket on the head, and I completed that task."

"It sounds like those tasks were to help you adjust the gravity of the planet." Rocky observed. Goku nodded and then said, "It actually was. He said that it was necessary for teaching me."

"So, you were basically being trained without realizing it?" Chase asked. Goku nodded again and then said, "Yeah. And after that part of the training, he began to teach me two of most powerful techniques: the Kaio-ken and the Spirit Bomb."

"Ooh, what do those do?" Rubble asked in amazement. Goku then said, "Well, the Kaio-ken acts as a power multiplier. It increases one's strength, speed and power. But it can be a double edge sword as well."

"What do you mean?" Ryder said as he stopped what he was doing to listen. Goku then said, "Well, the body can only take so much strain. And the higher one should go using the Kaio-ken, then it's liable to do some pretty bad damage to one's body. So the person using it should only go as high where they won't strain themselves. My limit then was up to at least three."

"And how do you do the Spiwit Bomb?" Zuma asked. Goku then explained, "To perform the Spirit Bomb you have gather some energy from the living things around yourself. Just enough to where you can form a ball of energy that's strong enough to vanquish evil foes. But the down side to it is that it takes a little while to gather enough energy."

"Huh? Powerful, but techniques of last resort." Ryder said as he thought about the two techniques. Goku then continued to tell his story, "So after a few months to learn and perfect the techniques, it was almost time for the Saiyan's arrival. But unfortunately, they were actually going to arrive sooner than we thought."

Another gasp came from the pups and Ryder. Goku then said, "But King Kai reassured me that with my new speed after the training then I would be able to get back to the Check-In Station a lot quicker, but it would take some time. So after contacting Master Roshi on Earth, they used the Dragon Balls that they had gathered over the year to prepare to wish me back to life. Once my halo had disappeared, then I knew that I would be able go back to Earth.

"So I quickly made my way back across Snake Way at a fast pace. And while I hurried back, my friends were currently dealing with the Saiyans when they arrived." Goku told them. Chase then asked, "How did they fair against such powerful warriors?"

"Well, they tried their best, but Yamcha, Tien, Chiaotzu and Piccolo all fell against the Saiyans." Goku sadly told them. The pups all started to whimper to the terrible news. But Skye then asked, "Wait, who all was fighting against them?"

"Well, there was Yamcha, Tien, Chiaotzu, Piccolo, Gohan and Krillin during the beginning of the fight." Goku said as he tried to remember. Then he said, "When I finally got back to the mortal world, picked up a few Senzu Beans I made it, they were going up against the Saiyan called Nappa. The guy was huge, even taller than Piccolo, and he was taller than me.

"While Krillin and Gohan stayed on the sidelines, I went up against Nappa. Thanks to my training from King Kai, I was able to fight against Nappa." Goku said, "But when I was just able to avoid and fight back, his partner, Vegeta, decided to step in."

"I'm guessing that Nappa didn't take too kindly to it." Chase guessed. Goku nodded and then said, "And you're right. Of course, since Vegeta was wanting to fight me, Nappa tried to attack Gohan. Acting fast, I used the Kaio-ken in order to catch up to Nappa before he could reach them. With a good punch to his back, I was able to paralyze the Saiyan. But that was the last thing I did to him and gave him to his partner. I told the two of them to leave.

"But instead of going, Vegeta took Nappa's hand before flinging him into the air." Goku told them, making them gasp. Goku then said, "Vegeta stated that Nappa had become useless to him and with one blast destroyed Nappa."

The pups' eyes were wide to this betrayal. Chase then said, "Man, Vegeta sure sounds heartless."

"He was, and I had told Gohan and Krillin to get to a safe distance." Goku said as he continued to tell the story, "While they were heading in one direction, me and Vegeta moved the fight to another area. After a bit of flying, we came to a more rocky terrain, had a few words and then began the fight. And Vegeta was even tougher than Raditz and Nappa combined."

"Was he really that skilled?" Marshall asked. Goku nodded and said, "Yeah, I almost couldn't keep up with him. So taking a chance, I went up to Kaio-ken x 3 in order to push him back.

"After a few good blows, Vegeta jumped into the air and prepared a powerful attack of his. And so I prepared my Kamehameha to meet him head on. Our attacks collided and we were at a stalemate. Our powers were basically equal during the struggle and I knew it was risky, but I went up in the Kaio-ken."

The pups all gasped when they heard that Goku had pushed himself when he had told them otherwise. But they continued to listen when Goku said, "With the boost, my Kamehameha was able to overpower his attack and sent him flying up into the sky."

"Was it the end of the fight?" Rubble asked as he was curious. Goku shook his head and said, "Not even close. 'Cause after Yajirobe showed up-"

"Wait, Yajirobe showed up right then?" Chase questioned. Then he asked, "Why didn't he help out when the Saiyans first showed up? He could have made a difference."

"Yajirobe's not the kind of fighter to get into a situation that seems to much for him." Goku said with a shrug. Then he said, "Anyway, as we were talking, Vegeta comes back and Yajirobe quickly runs to get out of sight. Vegeta then gathers some energy in his hand to where it was to mimic the moon."

"Because he still had his tail and it would allow him to transform?" Skye asked. Goku nodded and then said, "Yeah, he said the energy would allow him to transform himself since he couldn't use the Earth's moon to transform."

"Since it had been destroyed by Master Roshi a good while ago?" Chase asked. Goku shook his head and then said, "Actually, when I went to train with Kami, he had cut off my tail again so that way he could recreate the moon. But as Piccolo was training Gohan for the fight, Gohan had transformed into a Great Ape and Piccolo destroyed it this time."

"So your moon's been destroyed twice?" Rocky asked as he and Ryder had moved away from the bike. Goku nodded and then continued, "Mm-hmm. So after throwing the ball of energy into the sky, Vegeta started to transform into his Great Ape form. When it was complete, I was in real trouble."

"Why was that, Goku?" Ryder asked. Goku then told them, "Well, whenever Gohan or me transformed, we couldn't control ourselves and destroyed everything in sight. But when Vegeta transformed it was the exact opposite."

"And that made him a tougher opponent." Zuma guessed. Goku nodded and then said, "So the battle kept going and I was on the losing side as though while he was much bigger than me, Vegeta was able to knock me around a lot. There was only one thing that I could think of to beat him; the Spirit Bomb."

"But didn't you say that it takes a little time to make one?" Ryder asked. Then he added, "How were able to make a Spirit Bomb if you were in the middle of a fight?"

"Well, I used the Solar Flare technique that my friend Tien knows." Goku said, "I was able to get in front of his eyes and blind him for a bit. I knew that I needed to act fast, so after gaining some distance between me and Vegeta, I was able to find a spot and began. Lifting my hands up to the sky, I began to draw the necessary energy to me. I had gathered a good deal to me, but then I ran into a problem."

"Vegeta was starting to regain his eye sight and began looking for you." Chase guessed. Goku nodded and then said, "Yeah, he was, and I hadn't completed the Spirit Bomb yet. And I wasn't able to, for he came flying at me and unleashed an energy blast from his mouth. It knocked me from the rock and I had only gained enough energy from what I gathered. Vegeta then started to torture me with his monstrous size and I thought that I was a goner."

"How did you escape?" Zuma asked. Goku then said, "Well, lucky for me, Gohan and Krillin came back to help me and tried to cut Vegeta's tail off, but he had jumped out of the way when Krillin tried to use his Destructo Disk technique. Even though it looked like Vegeta had us beat, Yajirobe came in and used his sword to cut Vegeta's tail off.

"With his tail gone, Vegeta turned back to normal and his power was greatly reduced, but he was still fighting strong. Gohan started to fight him while I called on Krillin to help me. I gave him the energy for the Spirit Bomb and told him to carefully aim it. He jumped up on a rock pillar and waited for the right moment." Goku said. Zuma then guessed, "And when he thwew it, it collided with Vegeta."

"Not at first." Goku said, making them confused. He then said, "Vegeta had sensed the attack coming at him and jumped out of the way."

"How many times is he gonna jump out of the way?" Chase questioned. Then he commented, "Sometimes these bad guys just aren't playing fair."

"Ha, ha." Goku chuckled before continuing, "Anyway, the Spirit Bomb was heading right for Gohan, but I was able to telepathically tell him that if he didn't have any evil thoughts then he could just rebound the Spirit Bomb at Vegeta. And he was able to do so, and that's when Vegeta got hit with it.

"It sent Vegeta flying high into the sky again and we had thought that it was over. But just our luck, Vegeta fell back down to Earth and was still kicking." Goku said, much to the pups' and Ryder's shock. Rubble then asked, "He gets hit with your most powerful technique and he's still being evil? How?"

"Well, either he was much stronger when he got hit or since I used a little to blast him in the eye it wasn't strong enough." Goku guessed with a shrug. The pups all looked at each other before shrugging as they accepted the answer. Goku then said, "So after getting up and swearing that he would destroy us all, Vegeta unleashes a devastating attack that blew the three of us all over the place. When it was over, Gohan was the closest to him and tried to take him out first. But Vegeta was shocked when he saw that Gohan had regrown his tail."

"Now Gohan regrew his tail?" Chase asked as they all got wide eyed. Looking to the other pups he said, "But if Vegeta's orb was still in the sky and kept acting like a moon, then…"

"That's right." Goku nodded. They were all confused by this, but listened as Goku continued, "So just as Vegeta was about to cut off Gohan's tail before finishing him, Yajirobe comes in with another save and slashes Vegeta in the back."

"Go Yajirobe!" Marshall barked with enthusiasm. Goku smiled but continued, "But Vegeta didn't take too kindly to that and started to take his anger out on Yajirobe."

"Ooh." Ryder and the pups winced as they thought how that might have went down. Goku then told them, "So while Vegeta was busy with Yajirobe, I contacted Gohan with my mind, telling him to look up into the sky, which he was able to do so."

"But if Gohan had transformed, wouldn't that have put you and the others in danger, even if there was a chance for you to beat him?" Skye asked, sounding a little worried. Goku nodded and then said, "And you're right about that. For when Gohan had transformed, he went on a rampage. But luckily, me and Krillin were able to reach him and direct his rampage at Vegeta. Gohan chased after Vegeta and the tables were somewhat turned on the invading Saiyan.

"But once again, Vegeta was able to turn those tables by cutting off Gohan's tail." Goku said. But before the pups could comment or ask a question he then said, "But it turned out to be his undoing when Gohan came crashing down on him and crushing the Saiyan as he turned back to normal."

"Well, that's a win for Gohan I'd say." Chase said with a smirk. The other pups nodded in agreement and Marshall asked, "So what happened next, Goku?"

"Well, after our battle, Vegeta didn't have much energy left so he decided to retreat and fight another day." Goku started. Then he continued, "But Krillin had other ideas as he grabbed Yajirobe's sword and met Vegeta at his pod. But before Krillin could strike Vegeta down, I contacted him with my mind to stop him."

"Why?" Rubble asked. He then added, "Wasn't Vegeta one of the reasons that you lost your friends?"

"Well, since it was mostly Nappa and a few plant men that fought at the beginning, Vegeta never did take any of my friends' lives." Goku admitted. Then he said, "But you are right, letting Vegeta go didn't seem so smart, but I have to be honest and admit that I wasn't impressed by his power and I kind of wanted a rematch to beat him on my own. So I promised Krillin that when Vegeta and I did fight again, I'd be the one to win."

"I guess that somewhat makes sense." Ryder shrugged, even though he too was against it. Goku then continued, "Vegeta launched off in his pod, and since the battle was over our friends came to get us all medical attention."

He chuckled even though he still thought it was scary, "You should have seen the look on Chi-Chi's face when she came running from that plane. She had been so made since we had trained Gohan to fight that she almost didn't speak to me for a few weeks."

"Why wouldn't she want Gohan to fight? Especially if it was for a good cause?" Chase asked in confusion. Goku then said, "Since before the Saiyans arrived, Chi-Chi wanted Gohan to study and become a scholar. And she was strict about it too."

"That makes a lot of sense." Rocky said. Goku then continued, "So after getting us and the bodies of most our friends onto the plane and into some preserving chambers, we took off to a hospital. We began to make a plan for what to do next.

"Well, apparently, Gohan, Krillin had overheard the Saiyans talking about Piccolo and said that he belonged to a race called Namekians. We figured that if Kami was able to make Dragon Balls on Earth, then maybe they had their own as well." Goku said, "Then during a visit from Mr. Popo, he told us of a spacecraft that the being that was originally Kami and Piccolo before they split. The group thought that it was the best idea since Bulma blew up the other Saiyan pod."

"She blew it up?" Rubble asked and tilted his head. Goku then explained, "Well, on the battlefield, Bulma had found the remote Vegeta had used and tried to use it to call the Saiyan space pod, but it ended up blowing it up."

The pups slightly snickered from the embarrassing setback, but kept listening. Goku then said, "So, after fixing up the ship and convincing Chi-Chi to let Gohan go on the journey, he, Krillin and Bulma all took Kami's old spaceship to journey to planet Namek. I wasn't able to see them off or go with them since I was still bedridden, and I may have laughed at the haircut that Chi-Chi had given Gohan before he left."

"What kind of haiwcut?" Zuma asked. Goku then said, "It was a funny looking bowl cut." Then he said, "So after they had left, it took them a little while to get there. But when they had reached Earth, Bulma had contacted us with troubling news."

"Uh-oh." The pups all said. Even Ryder looked a little worried to what the news might be. Goku then said, "A little after their own landing, Gohan and Krillin felt Vegeta's energy just as he dropped down on the planet as well."

"That was some fast healing." Marshall commented, judging by the kind of fighting he imagined went down. Goku nodded and then said, "But there was still nothing I could do. So while I was still bedridden and covered in bandages, I kept on training just in case."

"It's called bed rest for a reason, Goku." Marshall commented with a deadpanned look. Goku laughed a little and then said, "Yeah, but I'm not really the kind of guy to sit still. But I didn't have to wait much longer as Yajirobe stopped by and gave me a Senzu Bean."

"You sure do use those beans a lot, Goku." Ryder said as he thought how many they had gone through. Goku shrugged and said, "That is true. But thanks to that Senzu Bean, I was finally ready to head off to Planet Namek. And luckily, Bulma's dad was able to find the pod that I came in. He was able to reverse engineer the tech and turn it into a much bigger space ship. It was equipped with both flight controls, a gravity machine and a sleeping area."

"I would ask what the gravity machine was for, but I think I already know the answer." Rocky said as he remembered Goku's training on King Kai's planet. Goku then continued, "So I blasted off and made my way to Planet Namek. It took me a little while to make it, but while I was on my way, King Kai had contacted me and informed me that I should only get Gohan and the others and leave Planet Namek."

"Why?" Skye asked, not understanding the problem. Goku then said, "Well, while Vegeta was one problem, there was a much bigger problem also on Planet Namek. King Kai informed me that there was an evil warlord named Frieza searching for the Namekian Dragon Balls as well."

"Hey, a question just occurred to me." Ryder said. Goku looked to the boy as Ryder then asked, "What exactly were Vegeta, Nappa and Frieza planning to wish for?"

"To be immortal." Goku plainly said. Ryder, Chase, Rocky and Skye all said with an eye roll, "Of course."

"I did promise to try and steer clear of Frieza when I got to Namek. I also learned that my friends who had fallen against the Saiyans had made their way to King Kai's planet for training." Goku told them. Zuma then said, "At least thewe keeping themselves busy."

"That's true." Goku nodded. Then he said, "When I finally touched down on Planet Namek, I could feel Gohan, Krillin and Vegeta all loosing their energy as they were fighting some of Frieza's guys. Quickly acting, I made my way to help them.

"They were just about to be defeated by three of Frieza's guys called the Ginyu Force. There was a really big guy called Recoome, a big blue guy named Burter, and a red guy named Jeice." Goku told them. Then he continued, "Thanks to my training, I was able not only beat Recoome and Burter, but I was able to give Gohan, Krillin and Vegeta a Senzu Bean."

"You gave Vegeta a Senzu Bean?" Chase asked, wondering what Goku had been thinking. Goku saw the look on Chase's face and said, "I know what you're thinking, but to be honest, the four of us teaming up to stop Frieza from becoming immortal was somewhat smart. Me, Gohan and Krillin provided the numbers to fight against Frieza's guys and Vegeta could provide intel since he had worked with the guy."

"That does make sense." Marshall said as he looked to the other pups. Goku then said, "But as Gohan and Krillin went off to find the Dragon Balls that the bad guys took, Vegeta ditched me when their remaining members showed up."

"Uh, bad guys." Chase groaned. Goku chuckled and said, "Yeah, it was a dirty move on his part. And I do wish that he had fought alongside me, for Captain Ginyu was a really tough opponent. Even though we were somewhat able to keep up with each other, Ginyu was a really good fighter. Not to mention that he knew when he could fight his battles by himself."

"What do you mean?" Skye asked. Goku then explained, "Well, when I was starting to gain the upper hand a little, Jeice butted into the fight and it distracted me and it allowed Ginyu to place me in a hold. I could barely escape and was about to use the Kaio-ken technique to break free, but he let me go and scolded Jeice for butting in."

"I'm not sure what to make of that." Chase admitted. Goku shrugged and said, "It just means that in a one-on-one battle, the fighters prefer not to have the fights interrupted."

"But you were fighting bad guys." Rubble pointed out. Zuma then added by asking, "Yeah, wouldn't you take evewy advantage you can get?"

"Sometimes." Goku nodded. He then chuckled when he said, "But sometimes I like to have a good fight that's just between me and my opponent too. Anyways, the two of us were about to continue our battle, and I used my Kaio-ken technique. And I must have surprised him since he used some sort of gadget to read my battle power. He seemed to be impressed by how much power I was generating and said something about a being called a 'Super Saiyan'."

"Uh, what's a Super Saiyan exactly?" Rubble asked, very confused about the concept. Goku then said, "Don't worry, I'll tell you in a minute. So after being impressed with my power, Captain Ginyu did something that I didn't expect; first he injured himself for some odd reason and then used some sort of bizarre technique to swap bodies with me."

"That's a thing?!" A surprised Ryder asked. Goku nodded and then said, "Yeah, it was. And it was really bizarre too. I had no idea how Gohan or Chi-Chi would react when they saw me in another's body. Though Ginyu somewhat had a feel for my own body I was in a lot of pain and couldn't chase after my body with the injury Ginyu had given himself. I was able to fly around and try to look for my body, but I was having a hard time doing so. But then I figured that since I was having such a tough time, then Ginyu wouldn't know about how to use my body properly either."

"That does make sense. It would be hard to adjust to a new body quickly." Ryder deduced. Goku then said, "Yeah, eventually, I came across Ginyu in my body and Jeice fighting against Gohan and Krillin. I had been able to convince them that it was me in Ginyu's body and told them not to hold back.

"And while they were going up against Ginyu, Vegeta was fighting against Jeice and done away with him." Goku stopped to take a breath. He looked to the seven and said, "Sorry, we've been going on with my story for so long that I kind of need to take a breather."

"Don't worry, Goku." Marshall said standing up. Then he offered, "Do you need some water?"

"That would be nice, thanks." Goku nodded. Marshall then turned and ran into the Lookout. It didn't take him long to come back out with a water bottle in his mouth. But as he ran back over, he accidentally tripped over his paws and sent the water bottle flying towards the others. Goku quickly reacted by jumping up and grabbing the bottle to where its contents didn't spill out on everyone. Ryder then said, "That was some quick moves there, Goku."

"Thanks." Goku nodded with a smile. Then he looked to the Dalmatian and asked, "Hey, Marshall, you okay?"

"Yeah, I'm good." Marshall said as he stood back up. He walked back over to the group and said, "I tend to do that a lot."

"Well, as long as you're okay." Goku said as he sat back down. Marshall rejoined them and sat back down as well. Goku opened the bottle and took a few sips of the water. When he stopped, he sighed with a grin and said, "Man, that was refreshing."

Ryder and the pups all giggled from it. Goku closed the bottle and then said, "Anyway, since Vegeta had defeated Jeice, he turned his attention to Captain Ginyu and was able to easily overcome him since he was in an unfamiliar body. And man, did my body go through such a beating. It was a little weird watching myself get beaten up, I'll tell you that."

"I can only imagine it." Skye said with a shake of her head. But then Goku said, "But when Ginyu was on the ground, Vegeta lifted himself into the air as if to finish the job."

The seven gasped at what this could have meant. Goku then said, "But Ginyu quickly acted and tried swapping bodies with Vegeta since he was much stronger."

"It sounds like Ginyu jumping from body to body is some cheap way of becoming stronger." Chase theorized. Goku nodded and said, "And you're right. Real strength comes from one's on work. But when Ginyu did the same thing he had done with me, I acted quickly by jumping in the way of the technique and was back in my own body. But my body was beaten so badly that I couldn't join in the fight like I wanted to.

"Ginyu gave it one more shot to try and swap bodies with Vegeta. But I acted quickly when I saw a Namekian Frog next to me. Picking it up, I threw the frog right between Vegeta and Ginyu, making the surprised captain swap bodies with it." Goku said. Ryder and the pups somewhat laughed at Captain Ginyu's misfortune. Goku then said, "Though Vegeta wanted to destroy Ginyu, I was able to convince him that Ginyu wouldn't be able to bother us anymore and he spared the frog body that contained Ginyu."

"Well, I guess that even bad guys can have their moment." Chase said with wide eyes as he looked to the others. Goku continued, "With Ginyu defeated, all that was left was to find a way to beat Frieza."

"Wait, I thought that you promised King Kai that you wouldn't try to fight Frieza." Skye recalled. Goku nodded and then said, "I did. But I also said that I would try to avoid him. But with my body so banged up, I couldn't really do anything. And Vegeta thought that by having me fight alongside them he thought that we might have a chance. He told Gohan and Krillin to bring me inside of Frieza's ship and they took me to a room that had a healing tank."

"Healing tank?" Rubble asked while tilting his head. Zuma then asked, "And you went inside Fwieza's ship?"

"It was the only place where I could be healed since I ran out of Senzu Beans." Goku explained. He then continued his story, "When I was placed into the chamber, they strapped on an oxygen mask so I could breath while being submerged in the healing liquid. It took a while and I could feel a lot going on outside, but couldn't do anything until my body was healed. After somehow sensing Piccolo's energy on Namek, I could feel someone, or maybe two someone's energies fade."

"What happens when someone's energy is gone, Goku?" A worried Ryder asked. Goku frowned and said, "It means that they're gone. As in, they died."

"Oh." Ryder and the pups said as they all looked to the ground. Goku then said, "But I don't know whose energies had faded, all I know is that when they did, I could feel Frieza's right outside with Gohan, Krillin, Vegeta's and someone else."

"Who was the fourth?" Skye asked. Goku tried to remember and then said, "It was a Namekian that Gohan and Krillin had befriended some time before I had arrived on Namek. Anyway, I could feel a fight going on as Vegeta and Frieza's energies spiked. But then I felt as Frieza's energy skyrocketed dramatically. I felt Krillin's energy start to fade and wished that I could have gotten there sooner, but I had to be patient."

"Well, you can't rush the body when it needs something like rest the most, Goku." Marshall pointed out. Goku nodded in agreement and then said, "That is true, Marshall." Then he continued, "But while I was waiting, I could feel Gohan's power spiking from his anger for whatever happened to Krillin and could feel him doing a number on Frieza, even though it didn't do much to him. Then I soon sensed Piccolo's energy joining the fray and I felt he was doing pretty good so far against Frieza. But then Frieza's power once again went through the roof and Piccolo was starting to be overwhelmed by Frieza. I could feel that they were trying to put up a good fight against Frieza, but once more I felt his power reach new heights."

"How many times is this Frieza guy gonna get stronger all of a sudden?" Chase questioned. Goku remembered and then said, "Only once more, Chase. But that happens a little later. Any who, after the third major rise in power, I could feel Gohan and Krillin's Namekian friend's power fade…"

This earned a few sad gasps from the group. But they did their best to listen while Goku said, "I could feel the battle still going on, and this time I felt Vegeta losing to Frieza."

"Was he fighting Frieza all by himself?" Rocky asked. Goku nodded and said, "Yeah, he kind of was."

"That's a little reckless." Ryder commented. Then he asked, "What made him think that he could take on Frieza if Frieza was so powerful?"

"Well, Vegeta thought that he was strong enough to be that Super Saiyan thing that he and Ginyu were talking about, but it turns out that he was the Super Saiyan." Goku explained. Then he continued, "But luckily, my healing was done and I burst out of the pod. Quickly getting out of the ship, I made my way to the battlefield where a battered Vegeta lay on the ground. Noticing my dramatic increase of power after I had been healed, he started to boast about it to Frieza."

"What does healing have to do with your power, Goku?" Rocky asked, becoming very curious about the capabilities of Saiyans. Goku then said, "You see, when a Saiyan sustains a near death experience in battle and is then healed, they get a lot stronger."

"How does that work exactly?" Rocky then asked, not understanding it. Goku looked up to the sky and tried to think of it. But he looked to the grey mixed-breed with a smile and said, "You know, I'm not entirely sure how that really works. It never occurred to me."

Rocky just looked at the Saiyan with wide eyes. Goku then continued, "Vegeta continued to taunt Frieza about the whole Super Saiyan thing, and I guess that the tyrant had enough of it, cause he fired a beam of energy that went right through Vegeta."

They all gasped at how brutal Frieza could be. Even Goku looked upset by and said, "I scolded Frieza that it wasn't necessary for him to have done that. But Frieza commented that Vegeta was like common dog that needed to be put down.

"Vegeta then told me that Frieza was the reason as to why the Saiyan race was all but extinct. He said that it was because of Frieza's fear that the Super Saiyan would appear one day and defeat him." Goku then remembered how Vegeta had started to sob as he had told Goku everything. Ryder, Marshall, Rubble, Chase, Rocky, Zuma and Skye all noticed that he had gone silent for a moment. Marshall then broke the silence by asking, "You okay, Goku?"

"Hmm?" The Saiyan said and looked to the Dalmatian. Goku then nodded and said, "Oh, yeah, just remembering how it went down. Vegeta had told me that he had become so cruel under Frieza's tight fist and that was mostly why he did the things he had done. Tears fell from Vegeta's eyes and he told me that I couldn't hold anything back while fighting Frieza. That if I did it would cost me. Vegeta continued crying until he had passed on."

"Now I don't know what to think of Vegeta." Rubble said as he was now at a loss. Marshall shushed the Bulldog so they could hear the rest of the story. Goku then said, "My battle against Frieza had begun and though I was a little outmatched against him, he was kind of impressed by my fighting skills. Then he, like the leader of the Red Ribbon Army, offered me a job."

"And-" Ryder started to say because he and the pups hoped that he didn't. Goku alleviated their fears by saying, "I turned it down too. And Frieza didn't look to happy about that. And so our battle continued. I was able to push him back a few good times, but he was so much stronger than me. I was able to catch him off guard with my Kaio-ken x 20, but Frieza was just as strong after words."

"Your training allowed you to go up to at least twenty for the Kaio-ken?" Ryder asked in amazement. Goku nodded and then said, "Yeah, but it wasn't enough. I fought with all that I had, but when it seemed that it wouldn't be enough, I still had one last trick up my sleeve."

"The Spirit Bomb!" All the pups shouted in excitement. Goku nodded and said, "Yep, although I wasn't able to it like I had when I fought against Vegeta. The attacks from Frieza didn't help when he was annoyed with what I was doing, but on the bright side, I was able to gather plenty of energy from not only Planet Namek but a few other nearby planets as well."

"Man, that must have been a lot of energy." Rubble guessed. Again Goku nodded and then said, "But just as it was nearing completion, Frieza had knocked me into the water and I still wasn't done. He noticed a light reflecting in the water and looked up to catch on to what I was doing. Seeing that I wouldn't be able to use the element of surprise anymore, Frieza was prepared to finish me right then and there."

"Did your son and friends help?" A worried looking Chase asked. Marshall looked to him and said, "I'm willing to bet that they did." Looking to Goku he then asked, "Right?"

"They did." Goku said to confirm it. Then he said, "Piccolo was able to intervene at the right time just before Frieza could make his move. But he wasn't enough to take on Frieza, let alone beat him. But he did buy me a little more time to work on the Spirit Bomb. And while they were fighting, Gohan and Krillin spared what little energy they had left to try and contribute to the fight. When I finished the Spirit Bomb, I threw it at Frieza, but he was so strong that he was able to catch it and hold if off for a little bit, but ended up being flattened before it detonated."

"That sounded like a tough battle, Goku." Ryder said. Goku nodded and said, "It was, and the four of us reconvened on the island. We were making plans on how to undo what Frieza had done to the Namekians when Krillin burst out with a scream. When we had asked what was wrong, he said that Bulma was still lost somewhere. And it had scared me cause I thought that Frieza had popped back up."

Goku's face fell as he remembered what had happened next. Knowing that something bad was about to happen, Ryder and the pups had guessed it and Chae shook his head, "No, no, no! Frieza was still alive?" Then he commented, "When is your Spirit Bomb ever gonna vanquish an evil force, Goku?"

"Chase!" Marshall said and nudged his friend. Chase then realized what he had said and apologized, "Sorry, Goku. I didn't mean to sound like that."

"It's okay, Chase." Goku promised. Then he said, "And you're right, two of my Spirit Bombs hadn't worked out like I had hoped." Then he continued the story, "But Frieza did survive, and he came back angry. We were all shocked to see that he was still alive, even though he was looking worse for wear. The Spirit Bomb had done quite a number on him.

"Extending his finger, he sent a small technique that attached itself to Krillin." Goku became silent again as he remembered the whole thing. This time, everyone was respectfully silent and waited for Goku to continue. He did when he said, "Frieza lifted him high into the air and then when he clenched his fist…" He looked to the group and then said, "I don't know if I should tell you this. I don't want to exactly give you all nightmares."

"You can just say that Frieza killed Krillin." Ryder offered. Then with a swipe of his hand he said, "And we'll take your word for it."

Goku nodded in appreciation to this before continuing, "Krillin dying again was hard for me, mostly because that he had already been revived with the Dragon Balls on Earth, so he couldn't be revived again by them."

"How come?" Rubble asked, confused as to why he couldn't. Goku shrugged as he admitted, "I'm not really sure. All I know is that when someone is brought back to life with the Earth Dragon Balls, they can't be a second time." But he shook his head and said, "But after killing Krillin, Frieza launched an energy beam at me, but Piccolo moved in front of me and took it."

They gasped in shock to his, for they knew what would happen if Piccolo were to die again. Goku then told them, "I then felt something inside of me snap. My anger had built up so greatly from the deaths of my friends. Though I wasn't aware of it, lightning struck all around us, my hair and eyes started to change color and with an angry yell I transformed."

"Into the Super Saiyan?" Rubble asked with wide eyes. Goku nodded and said, "Yep."

"Can we see it?" Zuma asked, wanting to know what the form looked like. Goku looked to Ryder and asked, "Would that be okay with you, Ryder?"

"As long as its just a small look." Ryder said. Then he asked, "But are you certain that nothing will happen?"

"I promise." Goku nodded with a smile. Ryder then gestured for Goku to show them. Goku stood up and took a few steps back. Ryder, Marshall, Rubble, Chase, Rocky, Zuma and Skye all watched as they leaned forward. Goku had a stoic expression on his face as he gathered his energy. The air started to swirl and the nearby trees began to rustle from the changes in the air. Another moment later, and Goku transformed; his normally spikey hair stuck up skyward, his hair and eyebrows turned a yellow color while his eyes became a teal blue. And surrounding him was a golden aura that looked as if Goku were on fire. The boy and his pups were amazed by the Super Saiyan transformation as they all said, "Wow."

Goku then dropped the form and his hair and eyes turned back to normal. Looking to Ryder and the pups he asked, "Shocking, right?"

"Uh-huh." The boy and his pups said as they nodded only once. Goku then continued the story as he rejoined them and sat back down, "So after transforming into the Super Saiyan, I prepared to fight Frieza once again and give it all I had. But I must have felt that Piccolo was barely holding on, so I told Gohan to take him and find Bulma before blasting off. At first, he was a little frightened by my anger and I sort of snapped at him for not listening to me."

"Why did you get so mad at him, Goku?" Rocky asked. Goku then said, "I guess that since I had lost Krillin and nearly lost Piccolo, I didn't want to lose Gohan either."

"That does make sense for a parent wanting to protect their child." Ryder nodded. Goku also nodded in agreement and then said, "So was Gohan was leaving with Piccolo, Frieza tried to stop them, but I moved with speed that I never had before. Caught off guard by it, Frieza was slightly afraid of it but the two of us continued our battle.

"While Frieza had me outmatched before, my transformation had reversed it to where now I had him on the ropes apparently." Goku said, "And just when I thought that I was going to win, Frieza pulled a really risky move."

"What did he do?" Marshall asked Goku. Goku then said, "He unleashed an attack that went down to the core of Planet Namek, and it caused the whole planet to become unstable. And thus the whole planet became like a huge bomb."

Ryder and the pups gasped to this, thinking just how desperate Frieza would go just to win a fight. Goku then said, "And to make matters a little more out of my favor, Frieza got me interested when he said that he wasn't fighting at full power."

"You didn't let him reach full power, did you?" Chase asked as if he couldn't believe it if Goku had. Goku nodded and said, "Yeah, I did. Even though I was greatly angry with him, I always like to fight my opponents when we're both giving it our all. All that really happened was that his muscles started to bulge out and his power increased dramatically.

"But during the fight, King Kai had come up with a plan to get everyone to safety. He had been in contact with Kami ever since he had come back to life and they decided to use the Earth Dragon Balls to bring back all those who had been killed by Frieza and his men." Goku told them. Skye then asked, "So, if Kami was back on Earth even though Piccolo sustained a wound, then he was still alive?"

"Apparently." Goku nodded with a grin. Then he said, "They made the wish and a could feel a punch of power levels popping up all over the place. I even felt Vegeta's energy pop back up as well, not to mention Gohan and Krillin's Namekian friend."

"Wait, how did Vegeta-" Chase started to ask. Then he remembered how the wish was made and then said, "Oh, now I remember, never mind."

Goku, Ryder and the other pups all chuckled from this. Goku then continued, "I could hear the conversation between King Kai and the Namekian elder about getting everyone but Frieza off of Planet Namek before it would explode. But I didn't want to go with them."

"Why not?" Skye asked. Rocky was in agreement and said, "Yeah, if you and the others left before the planet exploded, then only Frieza would have been caught in the blast."

"That is true, but if our battle had been interrupted like that, then it wouldn't have felt right to me." Goku explained. Then he continued to tell the story, "I told King Kai not to allow me to be teleported off the planet so I could continue the fight. We argued about it, and I said that I would never forgive him if he did so he complied. The wish was made with the last wish on the Namekian Dragon Balls and everyone vanished."

"Wait." Chase said as he was confused by something. Then he asked, "How many wishes do you get from the Dragon Balls?"

"Well, on Earth, there's a limit of one wish when you summon the Eternal Dragon." Goku remembered. Then he said, "But when I had felt Piccolo's energy on Namek, that must have been one wish granted, and then the one where everyone was transported off of Planet Namek. So maybe a few I guess.

"So when the whole planet had been cleared except me and Frieza, we resumed our battle. Him battling at a hundred percent even the odds for him a little and it was once again a tough fight. But as time winded down on the dying planet, his attacks grew more desperate and Frieza then threw what looked like Krillin's Destructo Disk at me.

"I was able to dodge them even though he was able to make them follow me wherever I went and a plan came to me. I flew right at him to try and make him lose his concentration to where his attack would stop but he jumped out of the way. But it turned out to be his undoing when he came back down as one of the attacks went right through him."

They all gasped and Skye cringed at the thought. Goku then said, "Feeling as if Frieza would pay for all that he had done, I started to leave the battlefield. With my anger slightly subsided, I turned back to normal. But as I turned to go, I heard Frieza asking for help."

"And let me guess." Chase said, "You gave it to him."

"Yeah, I did." Goku nodded. Then he said, "When I gave a little energy for Frieza to get off the planet before it exploded, he ended up trying to use that energy against me in a single shot. But all it did was graze me a little and I turned around to him while transforming back into a Super Saiyan. I fired a beam right at Frieza and an explosion resulted. When the dust cleared, all I could see was a hole where Frieza was laying and water pouring into it."

"So does that mean that Frieza's gone?" Rubble asked. Goku then said, "No." They all gasped again, but then Goku said, "I'll explain in a little bit. So, as I tried to make my way back to my spaceship, I realized that I was too far from it and I had spent most of my energy during the fight. But then I remembered Frieza's ship and thought that it might still work.

"So heading over there, I went into the main control room and tried to get it started but it was dead." Goku told them. The seven's eyes grew wide when Goku told them, "And as the planet started to break apart, the ship started to fall into an ever-growing crevice. But as I started pounding the controls in an attempt to get them to work, I saw one of the pods that they used a lot. Deciding to try that, I flew out of the ship and managed to get into one.

"And though I didn't exactly know how to work it, I must have pressed the right button cause the pod was able to escape before the planet exploded." Goku said as he finished that part up. Marshall, Chase, Rocky, Zuma, Rubble and Skye all gave cheers to hear that Goku had made it off world. Goku then continued, "So after making my way off of Planet Namek, the pod had crashed onto another world and I was discovered by an alien race called the Yardarats."

"Were they friendly?" A hopeful Rubble asked. Goku nodded and said, "Yeah, they were super nice. They gave me some new clothes, helped me to heal. They even taught me a new technique."

"Ooh, what's it called?" Zuma asked with a wide grin. Goku then told them, "It's called Instant Transmission and kind of acts as teleportation in a way. The way it works is that you have to lock on to someone's energy and then you'd vanish before reappearing next to them."

"Can you show us? Please?" An eager Marshall asked, his tail wagging from the excitement. Goku smiled and said, "In a minute, we're getting close to the end of the story."

Ryder and the pups all listened to him as Goku continued, "So, after learning the Instant Transmission technique, I was finally ready to go home. So after bidding the Yardarats goodbye, I blasted off with the pod and headed straight for Earth.

"It took me a little while to get there, but as I was approaching the galaxy, not only could I feel Frieza's energy, but also another huge battle power as well." Goku said. Chase then commented, "And let me guess, he was on his way for revenge too, right?"

"I get the feeling that that was the reason." Goku nodded. Then he said, "But then I felt another huge power, almost like another Super Saiyan was fighting against Frieza."

"Another Super Saiyan?" Skye asked. Zuma then asked, "Was it Vegeta?"

"No, I don't think it was Vegeta, he hasn't unlocked the Super Saiyan transformation yet." Goku told them. Then he scratched his head and thought, "At least I don't know yet. I have no idea what kind of training he's been putting himself through."

"So, what happened then, Goku?" Ryder asked. Goku then said, "Well, after feeling the power of a Super Saiyan from deep space, I felt Frieza and whoever else was on Earth's power disappear soon after.

"It took me about three hours after that, but I finally crash landed back on Earth. And when I had stepped outside of the pod, I found my friends, Vegeta and some kid that I had never seen before waiting for me." Goku said with a grin, "And while we were catching up a little, the strange kid asked me to talk with him for a moment.

"He said that he could only tell me in private and we flew over to the other side of the crater to talk. The kid said that his name was Trunks and that he was from the future."

"Future Trunks?" Chase asked as the name sounded a little odd to him. The other pups shushed him, even though they slightly agreed with him. Goku nodded and then said, "After a bit of a demonstration of our Super Saiyan forms, Trunks then knew that I would be able to help him. Trunks told me that the future that he came from was in complete ruin because of two monsters called the Androids."

"What are androids?" Rubble asked, feeling that it was lost on him. Ryder then explained, "An android is a person that is half-human and half-machine." He looked to the Saiyan and asked, "Right, Goku?"

"That's what I think that Trunks said." Goku said as the explanation was somewhat lost on him as well. Then he continued, "Trunks said that the Androids had managed to destroy most of the Earth, its inhabitants and most of my friends including his father, Vegeta."

"He's Vegeta's son?" A wide eyed Rocky asked, confused as to why someone would have a child with someone like the Saiyan prince. Goku nodded and said, "It was pretty odd thought to me as well. But there were a few similarities between the two when you looked at it."

"We'll take your word for it." Chase nodded. Goku then said, "Well, Trunks told me that since that most of Earth's warriors fell to the might of the Androids-"

He was cut off when Marshall raised his paw and then asked, "What about your future self, Goku? Why wouldn't you be helping against the Androids?"

"That is a good question." Zuma said as he looked between the others. Goku then explained, "Well, I wasn't in on the action mostly because I had been told that my future self had died of a heart disease."

"All those fights of life and death, even though one did result in death, and it took that to keep you down." Chase commented. The others said, "Chase!"

"What?" Chase said and looked to them. Then he pointed out, "It was a good point."

"It kind of is." Goku admitted. Then he said, "But since it was more of a natural cause of death, then I couldn't have been revived by the Dragon Balls of Earth or New Namek."

"Why?" Skye asked. Goku then said, "Well, since being struck down is a little more unfair than that of a natural cause of death, I guess it makes it a little more fair." Then he added, "And when it's your time, it's your time."

"That does make sense." Rubble said with a nod. Goku then continued, "After Trunks gave me the medicine he told me that perhaps with me in the game, I would hopefully change the future."

"So where did the Androids come from?" Skye asked. Goku then said, "Do you remember the Red Ribbon Army I talked to you about?"

They all nodded as they did remember. Goku then said, "Well, their chief scientist, Dr. Gero, had created the Androids as a way of getting their revenge on me for destroying their forces."

"Another revenge scheme." Chase said, getting tired of the cliques of defeated villains. Goku chuckled and said, "Yeah, another one. But I was confident that we could change the future by stopping the Androids. Even Trunks' own mom believed that it would work out. She believed in me so much that she worked so hard on the time machine."

"Whoa, Trunks' mom built the time machine and had a child with Vegeta." Ryder said, surprised by that. Marshall then said, "She must have been a strong woman." Then the Dalmatian asked, "Did Trunks ever say who she was?"

"Boy, did he. And it was a doozy for me when I learned it too." Goku said as he rubbed the back of his head. Then he started laughing when he said, "When I said that his mom had been a genius just like Bulma, he pointed to the group behind me and said that Bulma was his mom."

All the pups suddenly cried out in surprise and fell onto their backs. One of their back legs twitched while hanging in the air. Though he didn't fall, Ryder did look at Goku with wide eyes. Zuma then cried out, "So, it was Vegeta and Bulma who had Twunks?!"

"Yeah." Goku nodded. Then he added, "And that was practically my reaction too. But I couldn't say anything, 'cause if things got weird between Vegeta and Bulma, then Trunks might fade out of existence."

"I guess that does make sense." Ryder said as he calmed down. The pups all started to sit back up when they calmed down from their shock as well. Then he added, "I wouldn't want to purposefully try and cause someone to cease to exist."

"You guys wanna see how my reaction went?" Goku said as he thought about it. Thinking that it might be just as funny as theirs, Ryder and the pups nodded. Goku then stood up and started where he had said to Trunks, "So you're mom is the one who built your time machine, so that means…" The Saiyan looked really impressed as he said, "She must be a genius just like…"

"Right." Ryder said, imitating Future Trunks as if knowing what to say. Then he mimicked pointing behind Goku and said, "She's my Mom."

Goku let out a surprised scream and flailed his arms before falling onto his back. One leg stuck up into the air and twitched a little. They looked at him with wide faces before trying to hold in their laughter. Goku then said what Zuma said earlier, "So, Vegeta and Bulma…"

Goku then sat up and Ryder and the pups started laughing at the reaction. Goku laughed a little too before continuing his story, "So with the medicine for my heart disease and the news about the Androids, Trunks decided to return to his own time period."

"Did you have to tell the others?" Ryder asked, curious as to how the others might react. Goku then said, "While I was a little hesitant to talk about everything that we went over, Piccolo was able to put it to where Trunks' existence wouldn't be put at risk. Namekians have really good hearing and had heard the entire conversation. With the group aware of the Androids coming, we all agreed to meet together on that day. We all devoted ourselves to training. We had all come a long way during our training, and me and Piccolo managed to get our drivers licenses."

"Your drivers license?" Chase asked. Goku chuckled and then said, "Yeah. I hadn't needed much for one, and Piccolo either since we could mostly fly everywhere. But Chi-Chi was getting slightly fed up with having to walk everywhere. So she forced me and Piccolo to get drivers licenses before we could resume our training."

"She sure sounds stwict." Zuma commented. Goku grinned and said, "Yeah, she sure can be when she wants to, and it's almost difficult to convince her." Then Goku said, "After about a year of training, Bulma had called us to West City to show us a new invention of hers. She said that she had built it to help us in our fight against the Androids, but it didn't turn out quite the way she was hoping."

"And it was her invention that brought you to our world." Rocky deduced. Goku nodded and said, "That is correct. So now you know pretty much everything about me."

"I do kind of have one more question." Skye said when she raised her paw. Goku nodded and she asked, "When we had found you on the beach under the bridge, we had mentioned the word 'hospital' a couple times and your body twitched. Why was that?"

It raised a good point as Ryder and the other pups looked to the Saiyan. Goku laughed as he rubbed the back of his head and then told them, "Well, I'm not a big fan of hospitals because doctors have shots and I kind of hate shots, so I avoid doctors."

This caused Ryder and the pups to all start giggling to this. Goku then said, "So since it looks like that I'm gonna be stuck in your world for a bit, I have got to ask…" Ryder and all the pups leaned forward to hear his question. Goku then asked, "Do you have any places good to eat at, I'm starving!"

This caused the seven to fall onto their backs with their legs sticking up in the air again. Goku started chuckling to himself as the group picked themselves up.

Author's Note: Man, this part of Goku's origin story took much longer than the Dragon Ball story, and I can't really wrap my head around why exactly. I decided to stop the chapter here because it's gonna take me some time to think of some good origin stories for the team. And I'll try not to put off on the action for too long, I want to see Goku's reaction and help for much harder missions during the story. Plus, I have some great plans for future chapters.
