Chapter Eight: Team Up Mission- Rocky and Goku
Narrator: Last time on Pups Help a Saiyan,
The Paw Patrol and Goku had been called away for a construction rescue. But based on what the construction crew had said, this was no ordinary accident. And during the repairs, Goku felt an unusual presence near the construction site. What could the strange disturbance, and will it cause another catastrophe. Find out now!

It was a brand-new day in Adventure Bay as Goku had woken up before any of the Paw Patrol did. The Saiyan had walked a good distance from the Lookout and the sleeping pups. He decided to do the bigger stuff later when he didn't have to be really quiet. Goku decided to get in some sprints first and started running around the Lookout. His training, though wasn't loud, did make a certain Dalmatian pup lift one of his ears. Opening an eye, Marshall looked to Goku as his new friend was making his way around the Lookout. Marshall got up and came out of his pup house and waited for Goku to come running around again. When he could see the Saiyan coming up, Marshall then asked, "What are you doing, Goku?"
"Keeping up my training. Right now I'm jogging." Goku said as he passed him by. Marshall then decided to jog alongside his friend. The two didn't say anything, but it did catch the attention of the other pups. Skye was the first to ask, "What are you two doing?"
"Just getting our exercise in." Marshall said. Then he added, "It's important to get your cardio in."
"Can't argue with that logic." Chase said with a nod. Rubble then asked as the two passed by him, "Can we join in?"
"Sure. I don't see why not." Goku said with a passing glance. All the pups barked in agreement to this and started jogging out of their pup houses. Chase started a small army march chant, "I don't know what I've been told!"
The pups all smiled and joined in, "I don't know what I've been told!"
Chase then said, "Goku's hair can turn to gold!"
The pups laughed and repeated, "Goku's hair can turn to gold!"
They all started laughing from this. Rocky then asked, "So, what are you training for exactly?"
"Mostly to keep in shape." Goku answered and glanced down to the mixed breed. Then he said, "And don't forget, my friends and I are gearing up for a fight back home."
"Oh, yeah, the Androids." Rocky remembered. Marshall then said, "I wish that there was a way for you to settle this without having to fight."
"While I too wish that every major problem didn't have to be solved that way, sometimes there's no way around it." Goku said. Then he added, "I mostly fight to see what my limits are and break past them."
"Huh, that seems interesting." Marshall said as he kept up with the Saiyan. It felt a little relaxing to them all even though they were working out. From up at the top of the Lookout, Ryder watched as the pups were having fun with the Saiyan.

Elsewhere at the Adventure Bay Recycling Center, it seemed like a normal day for the workers as they were processing the materials that came through. They had a few conveyer belts. One of the workers took something that didn't belong on the belt and didn't notice it when a quick blur went behind him. He walked over to the trash compacter and placed it down. The worker suddenly gasped when he felt something throw him onto the conveyer belt. He screamed when it started moving and was about to get off when suddenly the blur came back and hogtied him. The worker cried out, "Help! Help me!"
"Hang on!" Another worker shouted as they started running over. But before they could even help their friend, the same blur came upon them and repeated the steps. The worker who was running for the controls saw that all his co-workers were all on the same belt and hogtied as it was running. Feeling really scared for himself and his friends, the worker quickly made for the controls but was shocked when he saw that they had been smashed. The worker pulled his phone and said, "I need the Paw Patrol!"
He pushed the button and waited for the call to get through.

Back at the Lookout, Goku and the Pups were still getting their exercise in. Up in the Lookout, Ryder was trying to think of a way to help Goku. He was brought out of his thoughts when his pad went off. Opening it up he answered the call.

Down below, Goku decided to take a break and sat down. The pups all sat around him and Skye asked, "Hey, think that you could show us some moves?"
"Maybe." Goku said before all six Pup Tags started to glow. They then heard Ryder call out, "Paw Patrol! To the Lookout!"
"Ryder needs us!" All six pups shouted. They all started running towards the Lookout. Most of the pups were in front with Marshall behind them. But as the others entered the elevator, Marshall came running up but accidentally tripped over his own paws. Chase, Rubble, Rocky, Zuma and Skye all gasped when he came flying at them and crashed into them. Goku stuck his head through the door and saw that the pups had fallen into a pile with Marshall sitting on their backs. Marshall looked down and joked, "Well, it seems that my flying could use a little work." Then he looked to the Saiyan and asked, "Right?"
"Heh, I guess." Goku agreed with a grin while the others just laughed. The elevator closed up and lifted the team to the top. It stopped behind the Paw Patrol logo and it flashed. When the elevator started moving again, the pups were in their gear once more and waited to get to the top. When it stopped the doors slid open and all six ran out of the elevator. Chase and Marshall noticed that they were wearing their respective spy gear and medic uniform and knew that something was up. They sat in their usual spots and Chase said, "Paw Patrol ready for action, Ryder, sir!"
"Thanks for coming so quickly, pups." Ryder said before touching the pup pad. The screen lowered itself and displayed the images while Ryder informed, "Something really bizarre is happening at the Adventure Bay Recycling plant."
Child renderings of the workers bound to the conveyer belts appeared when he said, "The workers have mysteriously been tied up onto the conveyer belts and they could get hurt if they aren't pulled off."
"Why don't they just turn off the machine?" Rocky asked the obvious question. Ryder then told them, "They would, if the controls were smashed."
"Oh, no!" Skye said with a worried look in her eye. Ryder started swiping through the symbols before it landed on Rocky's. Ryder then said, "Rocky, I'll need you to try ad get the controls to work enough to where they can turn off the belts."
"Green means go!" Rocky said and stood up. With another swipe he landed on Marshall's symbol and said, "Marshall, I'll need you to bring your med-kit to see if anyone's hurt."
"I'm fired up!" Marshall shouted and rose up on his paws. Ryder made one more swipe of the pup pad and it landed on Chase's symbol. Ryder looked to the police pup and said, "Chase, I'll need you and you're spy drone to see if you can find out what did this."
"Chase is on the case!" The German Shepard said with a grin before becoming serous again. Rubble then asked, "Shouldn't Goku go with you? He was a great help last time."
"We'll call Goku if we need to." Ryder said, feeling like the job might not need the Saiyan's help. Then raising a fist in the air and shouted, "All right! Paw Patrol, is on a roll!"
All the pups started howling as Ryder ran past them and to his fireman's pole. He held on tight as he slid down to get to his ATV. Rocky and Marshall ran for the slide before the mixed-breed went down first. As Rocky slid down the slide he scratched behind his ear. Marshall went down next and tried to slow himself as he cried out. Chase came down last and let out a howl.
Rocky reached his vehicle and it transformed into his recycling truck. He gave a howl when it finished and drove away from the spot. The parking lot of the Lookout rotated and Marshall's truck pulled up. Marshall landed in the seat and it transformed into his firetruck. Chase landed in the seat and it transformed into a spy mobile. He sped after Rocky and Marshall just when the doors for Ryder's ATV opened up. All three drove down the road and over the bridge to get to the Recycling Center.
The rest of the pups came down from the Lookout and stood next to Goku as they watched the four go. Goku then looked to the three remaining pups and asked, "Just in asking, where are getting the money for all this stuff?"
"Uh…" Rubble, Skye and Zuma all said as they tried to think of what to say.

Ryder, Rocky, Marshall and Chase arrived at the Recycling Center in no time at all. Rocky jumped out of his truck and took a deep breath. Looking to the other three he said, "I do love the smell of recycling in the morning."
Ryder, Chase and Marshall all started laughing. Ryder looked to the police pup and asked, "Chase, spy drone, please?"
"You got it, Ryder." Chase said before running to the back of his spy mobile. Then with a bark he commanded, "Spy Drone!"
The drone rose up from the back of the vehicle before launching into the air. Chase stayed by the monitor and looked through the screen while Marshall remained with the other two as they rushed in.

As the three rushed through the building, a figure watched them from the rafters above before moving in another direction.

The entered the Recycling Center with no opposition and came to the control room. The worker was trying to get it to work again, but he couldn't get into the controls. Ryder said, "We're here. How can we help?"
"I need some help getting into the control panels. Once I deactivate it, we can get the guys off the belts." The worker said. Ryder looked Rocky and said, "Rocky, you help him get into the panel with your tools. Marshall, remain on standby."
"Yes, sir." Both pups said. Rocky leaned ran over to the control panel before barking, "Ruff! Screwdriver!"
His pup pack opened up and the arm with the screwdriver extended out. Rocky started to move it towards the control box. But before he could, sparks started to fly over the console. Rocky and the worker moved back from it as it continued to spark. They watched as the arches of electricity flowed from the control console and down to the floor. It flowed over a few pieces of machinery and the belts stopped. Though everyone was a little relieved for the workers still trapped, they began to worry when pieces of machinery such as sorting arms and other parts were ripped out before being placed together. Ryder, Rocky, Marshall and the workers all looked in shock as a large robot made from the parts stood up before letting loose a mechanized roar. Marshall leaned his head to Ryder and suggested, "Uh, Ryder. I think that it might be time to call Goku."
"I think that would be wise." Both Rocky and the worker said when the robot started walking towards them. But before the boy could even touch the pup pad, the robot lashed out its arm and smashed through the glass. All four ducked down and the metallic hand passed over them. Ryder shouted, "Run!"
They all turned tail and ran for the exit as fast as they could. The robot let loose another roar as it tried to reach for them. Ryder was nearly to the door when another lash from the robot caused him to stumble and drop the Pup Pad. He was about to go back for it when the claw-like-fingers of the robot came down over the pad. Knowing that it wasn't worth the risk, Ryder turned and kept running.

Outside the Recycling Center, Chase could hear the sounds coming from inside and questioned, "What is going on in there?"
He continued to steer the drone around the building until it came to an open window. Flying the drone into the building, Chase's eyes widened to see what was going on. A giant robot was chasing around his friends. He wondered why Ryder hadn't called for help when he saw the shattered pieces of the Pup Pad on the ground. He looked away and said, "I've got to call for help."
Placing the drone on autopilot, Chase hopped down from the spy mobile and activated his Pup Tag. Then he said, "Guys, are you there? I need help!"

Back at the Lookout, Goku was currently doing pushups with the three remaining pups on his back. Goku pushed up and said as he went up and down, "Two-hundred ninety-seven! Two-hundred ninety-eight! Two-hundred ninety-nine! Three hundred!"
"Are you sure that we're not hurting you, Goku?" Skye asked, not wanting to hurt him. Rubble then waved a paw and said, "Aw, this is nothing for him." Looking down he asked, "Right, Goku?"
"You got it, Rubble." Goku said as he kept going. But before anymore training could be done, the three's pup tags went off. Zuma said, "Oh, the team needs us."
"What do we need to do?" Goku asked after they had hopped off his back. Rubble then said, "Let's get to the top of the Lookout and fast."
"Right." Goku said before following them inside. They all stepped into the elevator before going up. When they reached the top, they walked into the room and Sky ran over to the console. She pressed a button and Chase's face popped up on the screen. Goku waved and said, "Hey, Chase! What's up?!"
"Trouble, that's what." Chase said with a worried look. Then looking away from the screen he said, "Ryder, Marshall, Zuma and the workers are trapped in the Recycling Center by a giant robot."
"Giant robot?" The four in the Lookout asked. Chase then made the feed from the drone appear on a separate screen. They all gasped when they saw that there was indeed a robot chasing after their friends. Chase then said, "We need some back up right now!"
"We're on our way, Chase." Goku reassured with a smile. The transmission cut out and Goku looked to the three, "Grab a hold of my legs. We don't have much time."
"Uh, okay." Skye said as she, Rubble and Zuma all grabbed hold of Goku's leg. Goku placed his two fingers up to his forehead. Rubble became excited, "Is this-?"
"Yep." Goku said before performing Instant Transmission and the four disappeared from the Lookout.

Chase was pacing outside the Recycling Center but could still hear the sounds coming from inside. He didn't have to wait for much longer as Goku, Zuma, Rubble and Skye all appeared out of nowhere. The sudden appearance made Chase yelp and jump back a bit. But then he became glad to see them, "You guys made it!"
"Of course we did." Rubble said with a wave of his paw. Chase rolled his eyes and they all ran for the door. Goku pushed the doors open and they all gasped to see that the floor had been destroyed by the robot, but luckily the belts with the trapped workers were intact. Goku looked to the pups and said, "Rubble, you and Zuma work to free those guys while me, Chase and Skye go and look for the others."
"And try not to get crushed by the robot." Zuma said. They nodded and headed off in directions. Rubble and Zuma hopped up on the belts and set out to work.
Goku, Skye and Chase ran to another part of the Recycling Center. They came across their friends who were gathered in a corner by the robot. It raised its metallic hand to strike them, but Goku acted quickly by leaping up into the air and landing a kick to the robot's back. He landed on the ground again and the robot turned to him. Goku smirked and said, "How about you pick on someone else for a change?"
The robot obliged him by lashing a fist at him. Goku jumped out of the way while everyone else stayed back. As they watched Goku dodge the robot's attacks, the worker looked to Ryder and asked, "How is he able to go against that thing?"
"Uh, mostly 'cause he knows martial arts." Marshall shrugged. Goku continued to avoid the robot's attacks. When he had led it away from them he yelled, "Hurry up and get out of here! Now!"
"Oh, right." Ryder said before grabbing the worker's hand. They and the pups all started running for the exit. The robot turned to see them running, but Goku was quick to fly in and struck the robot in the knee with a kick. The machine fell to one knee but was able to backhand the Saiyan away. Goku was able to land on his feet and looked up to the robot when it faced him. Goku smirked before leaping at the robot again and lashed out a fist.
Ryder, the pups and the worker made it back to the main floor. Ryder saw that Rubble and Zuma had freed a few of the workers while working on the last of them. Looking down to the pups beside him he said, "Chase, Skye, Marshall, you go help Rubble and Zuma free them and see if they're okay."
"On it!" The three of them said before rushing off. Ryder looked to Rocky and said, "We're gonna go and see if we can't lend Goku a hand."
"Maybe if I can find a weakness, I can let Goku know." Rocky said as they made their way back.
Speaking of Goku, he was dodging the robot as best as he could, but knew that it was able to keep up with him to a certain degree. He thought to himself, This thing seems to learn as it fights. I'd go Super Saiyan, but it might end up doing more harm than good. But I do have to try something.
(Cue Run Around by Jason Radford)
Jason Radford: Things are starting to accelerate into something never
Stopping always trouble out but
Ryder and Rocky made it back to the other room and saw Goku backflipping away from the robot as it tried to stomp on him. When he had moved far enough back, Goku launched a few small orbs of Ki at the robot. The orbs hit the robot in the chest and midsection, causing it to stumble back. Goku then rushed forward before disappearing into thin air. The robot was a little confused at first before Goku reappeared behind it and brought his fists together and used his Double Axe Handle to knock it forward. The robot turned around and this time it launched its hands forward but with chains. Goku looked a little shocked that it displayed its ability but ducked down. The hands flew over him and Goku looked up again. The robot was starting to retract its hands and was able to return one while Goku caught the second hand.
Jason Radford: Now I think I'm getting dizzy too much spinning pace my
Patience line is thickening, quickening
It proved to be a mistake on Goku's part as the robot started spinning around with Goku along for the ride. Goku yelled as he held on tight to the robot's chain arm. The robot then made a whipping motion with the arm and it slammed Goku into the floor. Ryder and Rocky winced from the blow and looked to see if Goku was all right. Luckily, the Saiyan was okay as he groggily sat up. Ryder then said, "Rocky, see anything that might help end this fight?"
"Um, give me a minute." Rocky said as he quickly looked over the robot. Then he narrowed his eyes when he thought he saw something. Pointing with his paw he said, "See that piece on the robot's neck?"
Jason Radford: I's getting too insane, I'm trying to maintain
Woah, woah, woah, woah, woah, woah, woah
"Yeah." Ryder confirmed when he saw the thing that Rocky was pointing too. But they had to duck when the robot turned while following after Goku. Rocky then said, "That might be how it transfers energy from the brain to the rest of the body."
"So if Goku were able to hit it in that spot…" Ryder started. Rocky nodded, "Then the robot should shut down."
Jason Radford: You run around, I run around
We're all gonna run, run, run around
"It's worth a shot." Ryder shrugged. But then the boy asked, "But how do we tell Goku without drawing attention to ourselves?"
"If only we could speak to Goku with our minds like how King Kai did yesterday." Rocky wished. Ryder then got an idea, "Rocky, does the Recycling Center's P.A. system still work?"
Jason Radford: You run around, I run around
We all run, run, run around
"Maybe, but we'd have to get back to the control console in order to activate it." Rocky said. Ryder then said, "Use your Pup Tag to contact Chase and the others and tell them to go step by step on what to say."
"You got it, Ryder." Rocky said before activating his Pup Tag. They both winced when the robot uppercuts Goku and he hit the ceiling. Ryder looked to the mix-breed and said, "Hurry!"

Chase, Marshall, Skye, Zuma and Rubble had finished freeing the workers when Chase's Pup Tag went off. Chase looked down at it and said, "Hello?"
Jason Radford: It is getting closer
More tense ever spinning, twisting, turning roller coaster
"Chase, we need your help!" Rocky's voice said over the Pup Tag's transmission. Chase then said, "What is it?"
"We need you guys to get to the control console and activate the P.A. system to get a message to Goku." Rocky told him. Chase then nodded and said, "We're on it."
Jason Radford: Inch by inch the gap is
Closing pressure, building temperature, rising
"Come on." Marshall said before the five ran for the control console. They quickly made it and while the other four acted as a base for him to stand on, Chase quickly activated it.
Jason Radford: It's getting too crazy I wish I could maybe
Woah, woah, woah, woah, woah, woah, woah

Goku redirected a strike from the robot and its hand crashed into the floor. Goku then used his hands to grab onto the stuck arm of the robot before spinning around and kicking the robot in the face. The blow knocked the robot back while freeing its hand. Goku then leapt up into the air before lashing out with a punch, but at the last moment it was able to grab his hand. Goku became worried as he once again was sent flying across the room. He crashed into the wall before looking up and gasped when the robot's fist came right at him. Goku quickly dropped down from the wall and the robot smashed into it. Goku was about to go on the attack again when he heard a noise coming from the ceiling, "Goku!"
Jason Radford: Run, run baby

"Chase?!" Goku yelled and wondered if the pup was up there. But the pup's voice said, "Goku, you got to hit it in the back of the neck!"
Jason Radford: Like a rocket (Like a rocket)
Never stopping (Never stopping)
"Do what?" Goku asked as he wasn't understanding. Chase's voice then said, "You have to hit the robot in the back of the neck. There's-"
Jason Radford: You run around, I run around
We're all gonna run, run, run around

We all do a run, run, run around
But it was cut off when the robot hit the P.A. speaker and destroyed it. Goku saw that the robot had its back to him and did see something. He figured that Chase and the others were wanting him to hit it. The robot turned its attention back to Goku when it lowered its hand with the sparking machinery in its fist. Goku then started running towards the robot with Rapid Movement and it lashed out its fist again. Goku somersaulted over the fist before running up its arm. He ducked and slid under the other arm when it tried to get Goku off before jumping over the robot's head. He grabbed onto a wire attached to its head before looking down at the part. With a swift chop of his hand, Goku knocked the part out of place.
Jason Radford: You run around, I run around
We're all gonna run, run, run around

We all do a run, run, run around
(End of track)
The light in the robot's eyes faded and it fell to the ground. Goku cried out as he fought to keep himself steady during the drop. It crashed to the ground with a loud bang and Goku jumped off of it. Ryder and Rocky ran up to Goku and the pup exclaimed, "That was incredible, Goku!"
"I'll say." Ryder agreed. The sound of running paws and feet made them look to the exit as the rest of the team and the workers reentered the room. One of the workers said, "Man, I'm surprised you took on that thing and are still alive."
"Eh, not really the first robotic bad guy that I've fought." Goku shrugged. Rubble remembered the story, "Oh, yeah, you've fought against guys in robot suits, right?"
"Yep." Goku nodded and then added, "And they weren't that easy back in the day."
"But I still don't get how this happened." Rocky said as he looked over the broken robot. With a shake of his head he said, "It doesn't make sense for these parts to become a robot. And I'm still wondering about who put these guys on the conveyer belts."
"It's a mystery, there's no doubt about that." One of the workers said. Goku looked down at Chase and asked, "Were you able to find anything?"
"Oh, right. I forgot." Chase said before running back to the spy mobile. They watched him go and Skye then asked, "Did you sense anything when we came in?"
"Funny thing is, I didn't." Goku shook his head. Ryder then said, "Let's go and see if Chase has found anything."
"I'll help these guys clean up." Rocky said. Then looking to the construction pup he asked, "Rubble, would you-"
"Say no more. I'm willing to lend a paw." Rubble said and went with them. Ryder, Goku and the other three pups walked to the outside of the building. They saw Chase looking over the drone's feed and he looked a little perplexed. Ryder saw his face and asked, "What is it, Chase?"
"That's just it, Ryder." Chase said and moved to where they could see. They looked at the video feed and saw an infrared video of the inside of the building. And while most of the halls were clear of debris, only a few had a long trail of prints going through it. The trail even went up the wall and into the rafters. Chase shrugged and said, "Whatever was in here was moving very fast. And I doubt it was Harold or the Copycat, since we haven't seen the latter in a while and the former went on vacation with his uncle."
"Who are they?" Goku asked. Marshall looked to him and explained, "They're a couple of villains whom we tangle with every now and again."
"Both can be very frustrating to deal with." Skye said with a sigh. Goku then said, "Well, we just have to be a little more vigilant the next time something like this happens."
"That's pretty insightful, Goku." Ryder said, impressed that Goku had thought of it. Ryder then said, "Let's go help Rocky and Rubble clean up the Recycling Center and then go get breakfast."
"You had me at breakfast." Goku said before following after the team. This caused them to start laughing as they walked back inside.

Narrator: The group battles a bizarre robot and manages to make it out unscathed. But all they are left with is a multitude of questions from both missions. When disaster strikes again, will Goku and the Paw Patrol be able to handle it. Find out on the next Pups help a Saiyan!
