Paw Patrol- Pups help a Saiyan

After an experiment that went horribly wrong, Goku finds himself whisked off to another world; one that had a team of talking pups. Goku will team up with the Paw Patrol whether it be for missions or upcoming threats. And remember, whenever you're in trouble, just yelp for help.

11. Chapter 11: Tracker and Goku

Disclaimer: I do not own the characters of either Dragon Ball Z or Paw Patrol, only how the story goes. The characters of Dragon Ball Z belongs to Akira Toriyama and the characters of Paw Patrol belongs to Nickelodeon and Nick Jr. The only thing that I do own are the OC's of the story. I apologize for any errors in grammar and/or if I was not accurate in reference to something.

Chapter Eleven: Team Up Mission- Tracker and Goku

Narrator: Last time on Pups help a Saiyan,

A nasty fall sent Goku and the Paw Patrol to go and rescue young Alex from a flock of angry eagles. But as Skye's fears of the giant birds of prey hindering her, a few inspirational words from Goku was able to help her get the job done. What new adventures will Goku and the Paw Patrol go on next? Find out now!

It was a foggy early morning within the jungle not too far from Adventure Bay. The only sounds that could be heard were the sounds of insects, nocturnal birds and other animals of the jungle. But soon the sounds of nature became silent when the sounds of vehicles ran through the trees. A few trucks and jeeps sped through the paths of the jungle. They soon stopped in front of a large cliffside. When the people stepped out of the vehicles, one was wearing nice looking set of clothes. Looking amongst the people he said, "Vamanos, mi amigos. I want the opening found as soon as possible. I will not lose another artifact or such to that Niño Carlos and his mutt Tracker."

"Si." The workers nodded and moved along the wall.

From a distance, two pairs of eyes were watching the small army of men. A young man, named Carlos wearing a beige fedora, an orange shirt, blue jeans and brown boots was looking through a pair of binoculars. Next to him was a Chihuahua breed pup named Tracker. The pup was wearing a red collar with a green Pup Tag that has a picture of a compass with a red needle around his neck. On his head was a dark green hat and wore a dark green vest. Both boy and pup were laying against the ground. Tracker looked to his boy and asked, "Que ves, Carlos? What's going on down there?"

"It's not looking good, Tracker." Carlos shook his head and lowered the binoculars. Looking to the pup he said, "I think that they're searching for the cursed Temple of the Dead Place."

"Oh, no! Eso es realmente malo." Tracker said, somewhat knowing that going to a place like that would be very bad. Tilting his head he asked, "What are we going to do?"

"We'll do a little more recon. Then we're going to contact the Paw Patrol." Carlos said and lifted the binoculars again. Then he added, "We're going to need some backup for this one."

"Dime que esta passando alli abajo. I want to know, Carlos." Tracker said as he moved a little closer. Carlos lightly chuckled as he kept looking. He gasped when he saw something. Tracker looked to his friend and asked, "What is it?"

"It's Professor Hernandez." Carlos told him. Tracker once again gasped from the news. Carlos quickly backed slowly down the hill with Tracker following right behind him.

A small dust cloud was made when they slid down the rest of the way. When they reached the bottom, both boy and pup ran a small distance away from the hill and the men on the other side. When Carlos stopped, so did Tracker. Carlos looked down to Tracker and said, "This is getting worse by the minute."

"Me lo estas diciendo." Tracker shook his head. Looking up to his boy again he asked, "Do you think that the Paw Patrol can really help us?"

"It's something that they've never really done before, but we'll need their help for this one." Carlos said before whipping out his phone. He swiped through the facial contacts before coming upon Ryders. He pressed the button and waited.

The sun was starting to rise over Adventure Bay when Ryder's Pup Pad began to ring. Ryder sat up in his bed, yawned as he stretched and picked up the device. Answering the call he said, "Ryder, here."

"Ryder, it's me, Carlos." The explorer said. Rubbing his eyes, Ryder greeted, "Hey, Carlos. How are you and Tracker doing?"

"We're fine." Carlos nodded and Ryder noticed that it was still dark in the jungle. But he was really serious when he said, "But we've got a bit of a problem over here."

"What kind of problem?" Ryder asked, noticing how worried his friend looked and sounded. Carlos then asked, "Do you know of Professor Hernandez?"

"He's a brilliant archeology professor in the big city." Ryder said of what he remembered of the man. Carlos then informed, "Well, apparently, he's being held hostage by the thief Hector Diaz."

"I've only heard of him." Ryder said as he didn't know much about the treasure thief. He then asked his friend, "Do you need us to come and help?"

"Very much so, por favor." He heard Tracker say in the background. Both Ryder and Carlos chuckled from this. Ryder then reassured the two, "Don't worry you two. No job is too big, no pup is too small."

He ended the call before pulling out the pad's extension part. He pressed the button in the middle and said, "Paw Patrol, to the Lookout."

Outside in their pup houses, all six pups were sleeping peacefully. That was until their Pup Tags went off and they heard Ryder's voice, "Paw Patrol, to the Lookout!"

"Ryder needs us!" All six pups said and rose onto their paws. Each of them yawned and made their way to the door. As the other five walked through the door, Marshall was slightly dozing as he walked. When he walked in, he tripped over a chew toy and was sent flying to the elevator. Everyone grunted when he collided with them. Marshall got back up and said, "Sorry guys. Guess I'm just dead tired."

"Eh, not your best one, Marshall." Rocky said as they all stood up again. Rubble nodded, "But we do get what you mean."

The elevator doors closed and they rode up to the top. They stopped behind the sign and the elevator doors to that floor opened. Goku walked in wearing his Gi and yawned while stretching. He looked down to the six and greeted, "Hey there, pups."

"Morning, Goku." They greeted back. They then continued riding up to the top. When the elevator stopped and the doors opened, everyone stepped out. The pups noticed that they weren't wearing their usual gear. Chase looked to the pups' owner and said, "Uh, Paw Patrol somewhat ready for action, Ryder, sir."

"Thanks for coming so quickly, everyone." Ryder said as he pushed a button and the screen lowered itself. He then informed, "We just got a call from Carlos and Tracker saying that they need help."

"What kind of help, Ryder?" Skye asked. Ryder was about to answer when Goku raised his hand. The boy allowed the Saiyan to speak, "Uh, who are Carlos and Tracker?"

"Carlos and Tracker are our friends who live in the jungle." Rubble said with a grin. Zuma added, "They mostly help take care of the animals and pwants down thewe, but they awso go awound seawching for wost tweasures too."

"They sound pretty neat." Goku nodded. Ryder then said, "They are. And they told me that Professor Hernandez is being held hostage by treasure thief Hector Diaz."

"Oh, no." Most of the pups said. Ryder gestured to all of them and said, "So for this mission, I'm going to need all paws on deck."

"You can count on us, Ryder." Goku said with a thumbs up. Ryder smiled and said, "Okay, everyone let's get to the Paw Patroller."

"Paw Patroller?" Goku asked, wondering what that was. Ryder then said, "Come on and we'll show you."

He pushed a button and the entire Lookout tower started shaking. Everyone slightly stumbled from the shaking. When it stopped, Ryder said, "Everyone, into the elevator, please."

They all walked back to the elevator and when the doors closed they were lowered. Goku wondered about what it was when the elevator went down to the first floor. When they walked out of the Lookout, they saw a large hole in the ground as something came up. Sitting in the middle of a platform was what looked like a huge red, grey and blue bus. The Paw Patrol logo was on both sides of the vehicle. Goku looked to the boy and asked, "So, where do you get the time and money for all of this?"

"Uh…" Ryder and the pups once again said. Rocky asked, "Shouldn't we go and get the vehicles, Ryder?"

"That's a good idea." Ryder nodded. Looking amongst the pups he said, "I'll bring the Paw Patroller out. You pups better hurry."

"On it, Ryder." All six pups said before heading outside. Ryder gestured for Goku to follow after him. One of the walls to the Paw Patroller lowered itself and they both entered. They walked up to the head of the vehicle and Ryder said, "Son Goku, meet Robo-Dog."

The driver's seat swiveled to reveal a grey robot dog with blue ears, paws and an orange collar, shoulder pieces and tail tip. The Pup Tag on the collar was a grey star with a neon blue background. The robotic pup had a glass dome with holographic eyes. Robo-Dog looked to Goku and gave a robotic bark, "Arf! Arf!"

"Open up the back, Robo-Dog." Ryder commanded. Robo-Dog barked again before pressing a button on the steering wheel. The back door opened up and waited for the Pups' vehicles to drive in. Ryder and Goku looked to see the pups' vehicles coming up behind them. Pressing the button, Ryder said to the pups, "Get ready to bring your vehicles aboard, Pups."

Each of the pups barked in acknowledgement before the Paw Patroller started moving again. The back door opened and one by one, the ground vehicles came in. The first one in was Chase followed by Marshall, Rocky, Zuma and Rubble. Once all five were in, the door closed and the roof opened up for Skye. She carefully landed her helicopter into the Paw Patroller before hopping out of the cockpit. All six pups joined Ryder, Robo-Dog and Goku at the front. They hopped into the seats on the side of the cabin and were automatically buckled in.

"So, how long until we reach the jungle?" Goku asked them. Ryder sat down next to Robo-Dog and said, "It shouldn't take more than a few hours. I just hope that we're not too late."

The Paw Patroller zoomed out of the town and down the highway to the jungle.

After about two and a half hours, the Paw Patroller finally made it to the jungle. The sun had long since rose into the sky. The large vehicle came to a screeching stop. The group all came walking out of the Paw Patroller and looked about the jungle. The sound of another vehicle came to their ears and they all looked to see a jeep pulling up. Ryder and the pups all shouted with joy, "Carlos and Tracker!"

"Hola, everyone!" Tracker said as he stopped his vehicle. Carlos smiled, "It is so good to see you guys."

That's when Tracker noticed that the Paw Patrol had an extra. Gesturing to Goku with his paw he asked, "Who is your new amigo?"

"Tracker, Carlos, this is Son Goku." Ryder introduced the Saiyan. Goku waved and said, "Hey there."

"Look, pleasantries later." Carlos shook his head. Pointing behind him he said, "We need to work fast if we're going to save Professor Hernandez and stop Hector."

"What exactly are they looking for?" Marshall asked. Tracker looked vey worried when he said, "The only reason as to why they would have the professor, is to find the Temple of the Dead Place."

"I've never heard of that." Rocky shook his head. Ryder then said, "Not a lot of people or pups do. It's supposedly a mythical place."

"But if they have Professor Hernandez, then they must be on to something." Carlos said as he though about it. Ryder asked his friend, "What's the plan, Carlos?"

"Well, first…" Carlos said looking to the pups, "You all might want to get your gear."

"Right." All the pups said before running back to the Paw Patroller. They went inside and ran behind the Paw Patrol logo. When they came back out, they were wearing their jungle gear. Goku was impressed by the gear and said, "Wow! You guys are prepared for just about everything."

"And that's not all, Goku." Ryder said. Goku looked to the boy and asked, "If you wouldn't mind doing the same."

"Uh, okay." Goku said before walking back into the Paw Patroller. Everyone besides Ryder was confused by what was going on. Goku stepped into the Paw Patroller and walked behind the logo. Suddenly, a machine came down and Goku was scanned by a green light. Then a cylinder like box came down upon Goku with a clang.

Everyone was wondering how it was going. Soon, the Paw Patroller door opened back up and Goku stepped out. All the Pups were amazed by Goku's new set of clothes. They looked a lot like his normal Gi, but the design was made more for the jungle since it was made of the same material as the other Pups. On Goku's overshirt, the symbol of the Paw Patrol was placed over his left shoulder as well as on the back.

"Wow! This is an awesome looking Gi, Ryder." Goku said as he looked over himself. Even the pups were barking in approval. But he was a little confused and asked, "But why did you make me a new Gi?"

"Mostly for all the help that you've given." Ryder said. Then he added, "But also for mission's such as these."

"I guess that makes sense." Goku nodded before joining them. Carlos then said, "First, we need to a little more recon. Then we'll make a plan to rescue Professor."

"Sounds good." Chase said and they all made their way back where Carlos and Tracker came.

They came back to the hill where Carlos and Tracker saw Hector and his men with their captive pull up. Carlos, Ryder and all the Pups stayed low to avoid suspicion. Marshall looked back and saw Goku still standing. Then he suggested, "Uh, Goku? You might want to get down."

"Oh, right." Goku said before lowering himself. They all came to the top and made sure to stay low. When they looked, they could see that there were a lot of men holding clubs and various other weapons.

Goku looked to his right and asked, "Is that that Hector guy you were pointing at?"

They all looked as he pointed and saw an open tent with a man inside. Carlos nodded, "Yeah, that's him all right."

"So if he's there, then where is Professor Hernandez?" Tracker asked. Goku thought for a moment before saying, "Give me a minute."

They all watched as he backed up a bit before sitting in a meditative position. He closed his eyes and got to work. Carlos looked to Ryder and asked, "Um, what is he doing?"

"Long story short, he's sensing for the professor's energy." Ryder said to him. Both Carlos and Tracker were confused, "Huh?"

"Let's just wait and see." Skye said as they all looked to Goku.

Goku focused on all the energies surrounding Hector Diaz. He soon found a much older energy than all of the others in a tent closest to the wall. He could only assume that this was the professor that they were looking to save. Opening his eyes he said, "I think I found him."

"You did?" Carlos and Tracker asked. Goku nodded and said, "He's in the tent closest to the wall."

"But that's probably heavily guarded. We'll never be able to sneak past all of those guards unseen." Chase shook his head. Rocky then suggested, "What if Goku used his Instant Transmission technique to go and get the professor? Then we could just sneak back to the Paw Patroller and get out of here."

"Great idea, Rocky." Ryder commended. Looking to the Saiyan he asked, "Think you could do that, Goku?"

"No problem, guys." Goku nodded before placing his fingers to his forehead. A moment later and he vanished from the group's sight and Tracker and Carlos gasped. Tracker said, "Increible, como hizo eso? I've never seen anything like that."

"Think that Goku'll mind if we tell 'em?" Rubble asked. Ryder then said, "We'll tell the more important details."

Goku reappeared just outside the tent and almost gasped when he found himself behind two of Hector's men. But he was able to quickly clamp his hands over his mouth before quietly sneaking backwards into the tent. When he was behind the flaps he gave a sigh of relief. But a gasp from behind made him turn around to see an old man in an archeologists outfit sitting at a table. Goku raised his hands and quietly said, "It's okay. My name is Son Goku and I know Carlos and Tracker. I'm here to rescue you."

"Really?" Professor Hernandez said in astonishment and started to rise. But then his eyes widened before shaking his head, "But I can't leave, not now."

"What, why?" Goku asked as he didn't understand. Hernandez lifted a piece of paper from the table and said, "This book contains the map to the entrance of the Temple of the Dead Place."

"So, you're wanting to stay to find some kind of treasure?" Goku asked, finding it a little ridiculous. Professor Hernandez told him, "I shouldn't be bothered for quite some time. Could you take me to Carlos and Tracker. I must speak with them."

"Uh, okay." Goku said as he placed his fingers to his head again before holding out his hand. Professor Hernandez took the hand and they disappeared through Instant Transmission again.

"And that's pretty much Goku's story so far." Ryder finished the tale. Both Carlos and Tracker were amazed by it and the former said, "I guess we'll just have to talk to Goku when this is over."

"Si." Tracker agreed with him. Suddenly, both Goku and Professor Hernandez reappeared in the middle of them. Carlos and Tracker said at the same time, "Professor Hernandez!"

"Ah, Tracker and Carlos." The professor greeted them. Carlos grabbed the older man's hand and said, "Let's get you out of here."

"I'm afraid I can't, my boy." Professor Hernandez shook his head. This confused the majority of the group. Carlos asked him, "But why?"

"Si! Why would you want to stay here when you are a prisoner?" Tracker asked as well. Professor Hernandez said, "Because though while I am being held prisoner by Hector Diaz, I must do what I can to at least and try to keep them from the treasure of the temple."

"But professor, there is no treasure." Carlos shook his head. But Hernandez disagreed, "No, my friends. The treasure is indeed real. And with it comes a terrible curse."

"A curse?" All the pups gasped. Ryder then asked, "What kind of curse?"

"Thanks to what I was able to decipher from the map, a doorway into the Dead Place will open." Professor Hernandez told them. He sighed when he also said, "And with or without my help, they would have been able to find the entrance. My only hope is that I can find a way to stop their plan."

"Then we'll help you." Ryder promised. Hernandez nodded, "Thank you, my friends."

Reaching into his shirt pocket, he pulled out a piece of paper and handed it to Carlos. Pointing to the paper he said, "This is a replica of the map that I was able to draw in my spare time. I thought of leading them in the wrong direction." He looked to them all and said, "But with you all here, you can look in the right direction."

"Sounds like a plan." Chase agreed. Professor Hernandez looked to Goku and asked, "If you wouldn't mind taking me back to the tent? I need to start getting ready for my part of the plan."

"Sure thing." Goku said before placing a hand on the professor's shoulder before doing Instant Transmission again for the third time that day. It didn't take long for Goku to reappear again without the professor.

"Let's get a move on." Ryder said before they were heading back down the hill. They were unaware that one of Hector's men had happened to see them leaving.

The group reconvened back at the Paw Patroller and went inside of the vehicle. They went into the cabin and Ryder said, "Robo-Dog, get us a table, please."

"Arf! Arf!" Robo-Dog barked and complied by pushing a button. A table rose up from the middle of the floor. Carlos set the map down on it and he, Ryder and Goku looked it over. Carlos noticed something right away. Pointing to the map he said, "These red X's indicate where Hector and his men have been looking. But there are a few spots around the cliff where they haven't looked yet."

"Well, didn't he say he was planning on stalling them?" Goku asked. Ryder nodded, "He did. But now it's up to us to find the entrance and make sure that Hector and his men don't get in."

"There looks to be at least three different spots." Carlos pointed to the spots. He then suggested, "I suggest we make teams of three."

"Okay. Carlos and I can lead two teams." Ryder decided. But he was at a loss when he said, "But I don't know who should lead the third."

"Why not let Tracker or Chase lead?" Goku suggested with a shrug. They all looked to the Saiyan and he said, "Seems to me that between Chase's nose and Tracker's ears that they could lead a team."

"Okay, then, Tracker and Chase will lead their team." Ryder nodded. Carlos then said, "I guess that I'll take Rocky, Zuma and Skye on my team."

"And I can take Marshall and Rubble on my team." Ryder said and nodded to the two pups. Chase then looked to the last one and said, "Then it's me, Tracker and Goku for us."

Ryder quickly whipped out his Pup Pad again and took a picture of the map. Pressing a few buttons on the pad, Ryder explained, "I'm sending a photo of Professor Hernandez's replica map to the Paw Patroller's main frame. That way, Robo-Dog can help guide each group."

"Good thinking." Rocky nodded in agreement. Ryder then said, "Now let's get into our vehicles and head to the spots."

"Remember to not to go so fast. We don't want to attract any attention." Carlos reminded them. Goku scratched the side of his head and asked, "Should I stay amongst the tree tops or something?"

"I think you'll be fine sticking with us." Chase said as they walked to their vehicles. He and Tracker hopped into their respective vehicles before taking off. Goku followed after them by running behind them.

"You think that they'll be okay?" Carlos asked, mostly worried about Tracker and Chase. Rubble lightly nudged the boy's leg and said, "Don't worry. Goku can protect them. Especially after everything that we told you two."

"I just hope that we can hold them off." Marshall said with a sigh. Ryder then said, "Let's get a move on, Pups."

Everyone hoped into a vehicle before driving off.

Chase made sure to keep the siren's turned off as he and Tracker went through the trees. He glanced back and saw Goku was keeping up with them just fine. As they drove, Chase contacted the Paw Patroller for the coordinates. It took a moment, but Robo-Dog was able to relay the coordinates from the replica map into his Pup Tag.

"Follow me, guys." Chase said over his shoulder. He followed the directions that his Pup Tag would give him, turning left or right when they were told.

They soon stopped when they came up to the cliffside. There were hundreds of holes littered across it. Chase and Tracker hopped out of their vehicles and Goku jogged up to them. Goku then asked, "So, what exactly are we looking for again?"

"Mostly to see if there's some kind of way to get into the temple." Tracker said while Chase started sniffing around. As he walked along the wall, Chase raised his head and asked, "Hey, Goku? On your hunt for the Dragon Balls, did you ever find any treasure?"

"Only the one time." Goku said as he remembered. It made both Chase and Tracker look to the Saiyan. Then he revealed, "Yeah, in my younger days, me Bulma and Krillin had to go to an underwater pirate's lair. We had to go through a few traps, fight a robot guard and fought one of the guys from the Red Ribbon Army.

"We ended up finding the Dragon Ball amongst the treasure too." Goku finished and started brushing his hand against the wall. Chase went back to sniffing around. Tracker listened closely for anything that sounded out of the ordinary.

Carlos, Marshall and Rubble arrived at their section of the wall. It was practically covered with either trees on the ground or vines on the wall. Carlos climbed out of Marshall's firetruck before the Dalmatian hopped out of it. Rubble jumped out of his rig and joined the two at the wall. Looking about he asked, "So, what is it that we're looking for exactly?"

"Mostly like a clue on how to get in." Carlos said as he looked over the wall. Marshall looked about as well on his left while Rubble looked to the right.

After a few minutes of searching, Carlos asked the two, "So, your friend Goku…

"Just how strong is he?" He asked while feeling along the wall. Marshall glanced back to the boy and said, "Well, he's able to save a group of construction workers, stop a giant robot, stop a tsunami with an energy wave and help out with a flock of angry eagles. Plus he can go super."

"Go super? What does that mean?" Carlos asked, not fully understanding. Rubble smiled when he said, "Basically that's when he transforms. His hair stands up, turns gold and can fight against an evil warlord capable of destroying planets."

"Wait, what?" Carlos asked, but quickly quieted himself. Marshall then said, "If we get the chance, maybe Goku can show you."

"Okay." Carlos said before going back to searching the wall. All three of the group continued their searching.

Ryder's team made it to their section of the cliff far from their friends and Hector's men. It was mostly bare rock except for a few rocks jutting out of the wall. Everyone got out or off their vehicles and began searching the wall. Rocky looked to Ryder and asked, "Do you think that the others will find the entrance, Ryder?"

"I'm not sure." Ryder shook his head. He thought back to their meeting with the professor, "Hernandez didn't give many clues as to what to look for."

"So I guess we'll just have to search for entrance the old fashion way." Skye said as all the Pups started sniffing around while Ryder carefully searched the cliff face for anything.

But all three groups were unaware that they were being watched from a distance. One of the men raised his radio and said in Spanish, "Tenemos invitados sin invitacion. Y parecen estar buscando entrada."

"Cuidado por ahora. Informe si encuentran algo." Someone on the other line said. The man nodded, "Si."

They continued watching the Paw Patrol work.

Over with Goku's group, they continued searching for the entrance. Tracker's ears started twitching and turning when he passed by a hole in the wall. Looking to the others he said, "Senior Goku! Chase! Ven aqui."

"What's up?" Goku asked as he and Chase came running over. Tracker then said, "There's something about this hole here."

"I'm on it." Chase said before moving in front of Tracker. Glancing to his Pup Pack he quietly said, "Ruff! Flashlight."

The compartment opened up and the flashlight extended from it. Moving it to where he and Tracker could look, it turned and they saw something like a stick standing up right in the hole. Tracker looked to the police pup and said, "I'm willing to bet that's a lever."

"I think that you'd win that bet." Chase nodded. But when he looked at how far it was he said, "But it's too far for either one of us to reach."

"Well, we do have someone who has a longer arm." Tracker reminded. They chuckled as they turned to Goku who was cleaning out his ear with his pinkie. He looked down at them and asked, "What?"

"Think that you could reach in the hole and pull the lever, Goku?" Chase asked him. Goku nodded before kneeling down and sticking his hand inside. He felt his fingers touch the lever before grabbing it and pulling it towards him. They all heard something click and backed away in case something happened. But they became confused when nothing did.

"I'll send a message to Ryder and Carlos and tell them that we found." Goku said before concentrating his mind.

Ryder and his group were still searching when he heard a voice in his head, "Hey, Ryder!"

"Goku?" He said, making the others look to him. Goku then said, "Me, Chase and Tracker found something on our end. A lever, but when we pulled it, nothing happen."

"It could be one of three unlocking mechanisms to opening the entrance." Ryder guessed as he stroked his chin. He then said, "Thanks for the info, Goku."

"No problem." Goku said before his voice cut out. When he didn't hear his friend's voice anymore, Ryder said, "Okay, we're looking for a hiding place for a lever. Look for holes, or something."

"On it, Ryder." The three nodded before continuing their search. Zuma walked along the wall before noticing a strange rock protruding from the wall. He said, "Wyder! I think I found something."

Ryder came running and Zuma pointed with his paw to the rock. They looked to each other before Ryder walked up to the rock. Gently placing his hand against the rock, he jiggled it and found that it moved a little. Then he pulled it down and a click could be heard but nothing happened on their end. Ryder looked to all three pups and said, "I'm guessing that Carlos' group are the only ones left to pull their lever."

"Let's just hope that we'll be able to stop Hector." Rocky said.

Hiding in the trees, the two men had heard everything. Lifting the radio he contacted, "Hector, Carlos y la Patrulla Paw estan cerca de abrir el templo. Que quieres que hagamos?"

"Get back here and no me hagas esperar." Hector said over the radio. Then he said, "We'll give those chicos and their mutts a reason to back off."

Carlos, Marshall and Rubble reconvened together and Carlos asked, "You guys find anything?"

"Nope." Both the Dalmatian and Bulldog shook their head. They were stumped and Carlos said, "How are supposed to find how to open the door?"

"You need to look for a hidden lever." Goku's voice said in his head. This freaked Carlos out a little before looking to the Pups and said, "I just heard Son Goku's voice in my head."

"Yeah, he can do that too." Rubble said with a chuckle. Marshall then said, "Just answer him."

"Okay." Carlos said, still a little weirded out. He looked up into the sky and said, "Uh, hi, Goku."

"You guys need to find the hidden lever in order to open the door." Goku told him. He heard Goku said, "Ryder and me have probably pulled ours. All that's left is yours."

"Okay. We're going to look for it." Carlos said before the voice stopped talking.

"Let's get to looking." He told Marshall and Rubble. They started searching the wall once again.

As he searched, Marshall accidentally tripped on a vine and cried out as he fell. Carlos and Rubble ran over to see if he was okay. Marshall sat up and said, "I'm okay."

But suddenly, they heard a loud click coming from the wall and looked down to the vine wrapped around Marshall's leg. Carlos helped to remove it before they all looked up to the wall. Two waterfalls started pouring down from the top of the cliff. Carlos was somewhat amazed when he said, "We did it. We found the entrance."

"Better call Ryder and the others." Rubble suggested. But before Carlos could take out his phone, a voice said, "Yes, call the boy and his band of mutts."

Marshall and Rubble started growling in the direction of the voice. Hector Diaz stepped into the light and said, "But I'd think about it before you do."

"And why is that?" Carlos asked while the Pups remained defensive. Hector gave a dark grin when he said, "Because I don't think that you want anything bad to happen to the professor."

With a snap of his fingers, two men brought Professor Hernandez forward and held him still. Looking to the young explorer he said, "I'm so sorry, Carlos."

"Stand aside." Hector demanded of the three. Carlos looked to the two and said, "Just do as he says."

"No, Carlos." The professor pleaded. He reminded, "He cannot unleash the curse."

"Oi! You and your superstitions, Professor Hernandez." Hector shook his head. But Carlos, Marshall and Rubble all moved out of the way just when the ground started shaking. A large entrance opened up as the two stone doors slid apart. The ground stopped shaking when the doors stopped moving. Hector looked to the three and said, "Gracias for all your help, my young amigos."

"What about the professor?" One of the men asked when Hector started moving. Hector looked to the older man and said, "Bring him along. He'll be able to help us get through the traps. Either with his mind or his life."

The professor, Carlos and the Pups all gasped at what the thief said. Hector looked to a few others and said, "Get them and their friends out of here. I don't want to lose another artifact to el chico."

"Si, senor." The guards said before starting to move the three along. But they didn't go far when they heard someone bark, "Ruff! Tennis Ball launcher!"

A yellow ball came flying from the trees and struck one of the men in the face. Something came swinging from the trees and all three were surprised to see Tracker using his cables. Tracker was able to grab one of the men with a cable before causing him to hit a tree branch and the man became stuck. Something moved really fast on the ground and some of the men grunted before falling to the ground. Hector became both irritated and concerned. Quickly grabbing the radio on his person he shouted, "Necesito a todos los hombres a mi posicion! Tenemos intrusos!"

He grabbed the professor before quickly going through the doors with a few men by his side. The other men were having a difficult time against their foes as Carlos, Marshall and Tracker joined in. Marshall glanced back and barked, "Arf! Arf! Water cannon!"

The cannon rose over his head before firing a stream of water and it formed a mud puddle. Rubble was able lead a few men chasing after him to it before quickly turning right. The men were confused before they tripped and landed in the mud puddle.

Others of Hector's men joined them, but Ryder's group also arrived on the scene. Rocky used the arms on his recycling truck to toss a few into the air while Skye scared some with her helicopter.

Everyone in the Paw Patrol was able to gather at the wall and looked back to the large army behind them. Not looking back, Goku told them, "You guys go on ahead. I'll take care of these guys and catch up to you."

"But there are so many of them." Carlos said when he looked over at the army. Tracker was in full agreement and said, "Si. How do you plan on beating all of them?"

"Don't worry about that." Goku said. Glancing back at them he said, "Just go and stop that Hector guy."

"He's right." Ryder said before all nine of them started running into the entrance. Goku turned his attention back to the mercenaries and said, "Look, fellas. I'm going to give you one chance to walk away from all of this. I suggest that you take it."

"Like we'll ever listen to you." One of the guys said before the others started chuckling. Goku shrugged and said, "Okay. But I did warn you guys."

The guards whipped out whatever weapons that they had on them before rushing at Goku. The Saiyan stood absolutely still before taking a step forward and vanishing from where he stood. Hector's men stopped and one asked, "Where did he-"

He didn't get to finish his question when a fist slammed against his gut and sent him flying. The other men looked about as Goku reappeared in the middle of a few before dropping down and sweep kicking them. When he rose back up, a mercenary tried to swing his club, but Goku was able to sense it coming before catching the club with a hand before using a palm strike to send the guy flying backwards.

More and more of the mercenaries kept coming at him, but Goku was able to block or counter their attacks. A large number of them jumped him and formed a pile around the Saiyan. But Goku was able to push them off when he unleashed a little of his power.

The mercenaries started raining down and laid on the ground groaning. Goku looked about and when he was sure that they weren't going to be a problem anymore, he turned and ran inside of the tunnel.

Up ahead of both Goku and the Paw Patrol, Hector, his remaining men and Professor Hernandez were walking through the tunnel. Hector glanced back and warned, "This treasure had better be worth something, Professor. For your sake."

"I did say that it was worth something." The professor nodded as he remembered what he had found out. But then he shook his head, "But it's not worth it due to the curse."

"And what kind of curse would that be?" Hector questioned. Professor Hernandez recited, "'The curse of the Dead Place will consume the land when one with a dark heart opens the doorway.'"

"Well, the doorway has already been opened." Hector pointed out. But Hernandez shook his head, "Not that one. The other door is deeper into the temple."

"Then you better pray that we never find it." Hector chuckled. Hernandez sighed and muttered, "I can only do that and hope that you don't."

"But I am mostly interested in the lost book that is associated with this place." Hector told him. Hernandez was the one to be a little confused by this, "Book?"

"Yes. The people that once came to this temple created a book that holds many secrets." Hector explained. With a chuckle he said, "While I plan to sell most of the treasures, I will be keeping the book for myself."

The group continued walking through the tunnels of the temple. But as they walked, Hernandez glanced back and prayed that Carlos and his friends would catch up to them.

Ryder, Carlos and the Pups were running behind Hector and the professor when the sounds of footsteps came from behind. They looked back and couldn't see who it was after turning one of the many corners of the place. They waited and remained on the defensive just in case that it was one of Hector's men. But they all breathed a sigh of relief when they saw that it was Goku. He saw them and said, "Oh, good. You guys are okay."

"Yeah, we're fine, Goku." Ryder nodded. Carlos then said, "Come on. We need to catch up to Hector and the professor."

"Well, maybe that's not such a good idea." Goku shook his head. Everyone looked to him with bewildered looks and he explained, "I was mostly thinking that they might hear us coming and do something to the professor guy."

"What if you just use that teleporting move again?" Tracker asked while tilting his head. Goku shrugged and said, "I can do that, but I did use a good deal of my power back there fighting those guys. I'll need every ounce of my power to face the bad guys and what we might face in here."

"Looks like we're on foot guys." Chase said. Neither Carlos or Tracker liked the idea, but they didn't argue and they started walking. Goku looked to Carlos and Tracker and asked, "So, if you don't mind me asking, how do you know Ryder and the Pups?"

"Well, since we're going to be walking for a while, I guess we can tell." Carlos shrugged. Rubble excitedly jumped and said, "And we can help out too."

Ryder and the others started chuckling from this. Carlos started the story, "Me and Ryder are pen pals and we talk to each other a lot. But the day that I met Tracker is when everything really changed…

"I was currently digging around a different temple to see if I could find anything valuable." Carlos continued, "I had found a statue with a golden crown of the monkey queen hidden in the scepter. I called the Paw Patrol to come and help me take the statue to the museum, but a silly monkey named Mandy swiped the crown.

"I tried to get it back, but after chasing after it I fell down into a deep hole." Carlos stopped and Ryder took over, "Seeing that he was in trouble, we quickly got into the Paw Patroller and headed this way."

"Meanwhile, I heard Carlos' cries for help and quickly rushed over to see what the commotion was." Tracker took over. He slightly shuddered when he said, "I found Carlos in the deep dark pit. It was a little scary, but I was able to help find Carlos' phone and gave the Paw Patrol some directions. I told them to turn left when they saw a big, scratchy palm tree, then they needed to go down to the stinky bush and make a right."

"Why was it called the stinky bush?" Goku wondered. Both Tracker and Carlos shook their heads as the former said, "You don't want to know."

"Trust us, you're better off not knowing." Carlos added. Goku just shrugged and decided to follow their advice. Ryder took back up where Tracker left off, "We put the pedal to the metal to save Carlos."

"And I had to defend Carlos while he was stuck in the hole from a large snake and other animals." Tracker added. Ryder laughed a little before saying, "When the snake had cornered Tracker up onto a rock, a horn blast by Robo-Dog sent the giant serpent slithering away."

"We worked together to get Carlos out of the pit and make sure that he was all right." Chase said. Carlos then said, "After that, me and Tracker got to know each other a little better."

"And thanks to Tracker's help during the rescue, we made him a member of the Paw Patrol." Ryder said while Carlos scratched behind Tracker's ears. Tracker looked up and said, "Si! And I got my own uniform and vehicle that you've already seen."

"And that's how we met them both." Ryder finished that part of the story. Carlos then added, "But what happened next was just as crazy."

"Really?" Goku asked. Skye nodded with a laugh and said, "We had to go on the hunt for Mandy since she had the crown. Me, Chase, Tracker, Carlos and Ryder all went to search for her while the others stayed behind."

"We found her up in the tree and were able to get the crown back from her." Chase took up. But with a shake of his head added, "But it was getting late and we were far from the Paw Patroller. Our group decided to camp out in the jungle…"

"While the rest of us stayed with the Paw Patroller." Rocky added. Tracker then took over, "But as we were sleeping, I heard something in the jungle, and due to my being afraid of the dark, got nervous."

"It turns out that a band of monkeys came and stole the crown form us." Ryder said. Remembering what happened next he said, "We followed them to this other temple to where we had to go in and try and find the crown."

"We got separated for a bit and ran into some booby traps." Rocky said. Marshall quirked a brow and asked, "You guys ran into booby traps?"

"Weird. We didn't." Skye shook her head. Chase nodded and said, "Yeah. There was a trap door and a gigantic coconut."

"It was really tasty too." Zuma added with a smile. Another round of laughter went through the group. Goku then asked, "So what happened next?"

"Well, we found where the monkeys were and they set off some kind of mechanism and it made the whole building shake." Rocky remembered. Ryder then said, "We tried to call for help, but my Pup Pad ran out of power."

"But thanks to my great hearing, we were able to find them." Tracker said. Then glancing back to his Pup Pack he said, "And with my cables, I was able to open the door."

"The building suddenly stopped shaking as a really tall pedestal revealed a golden banana." Chase said. Skye then took over, "We watched Mandy pull the golden banana out and became the monkey queen."

"Huh, that sounds neat." Goku said. He smiled when he said, "I just hope that she doesn't monkey around a lot."

Another round of laughter went through the group as they found it a little funny. Rocky looked ahead and said, "Uh, oh. It seems that the tunnel gets a lot darker up ahead."

"Darker?" Tracker said, becoming a little nervous. He backed up while saying, "Oi, oi, oi."

"Don't worry, Tracker." Chase said before glancing at his Pup Pack, "Ruff! Flashlight!"

It once again extended from the pack and turned on. Both Ryder and Carlos brought out a flashlight as well. Goku then offered, "And maybe this will help."

Holding out his hand, he created an orb of ki that helped brighten the room as well. Everyone, boy and pup, all went, "Ooh."

"Now, let's get going." Carlos said and they started walking again.

The group came upon an intersection in the temple. They all looked down the tunnels before Zuma asked, "Which way did they go?"

"I'm not sure." Ryder said as he tried to think about it. Goku looked down to Tracker and said to the others, "Give us a minute."

Tracker looked up to the Saiyan and instantly knew what he meant. Both took a moment to either use their ears or senses. Soon both Goku's head and Tracker's ears turned the same way and it was the tunnel to the left. Goku pointed while Tracker said, "This way, mi amigos!"

All the Pups howled their cheers before everyone started running down the hall again.

They soon came upon a large chamber and could see Hector, Professor Hernandez and the mercenaries all standing in it. All ten friends watched from the door as they looked about the chamber. Several pedestals were positioned in front of a giant hole in the wall. On two of the pedestals looked to a bowl filled with something and a book. The rest had a jewel on them. Hector walked up to the pedestal of the book and said, "After all the searching that I've had to do. It's finally within my grasp."

"Please! I beg of you not to do it." Hernandez pleaded. But Hector didn't listen to him as he picked up the book. Opening it he flipped through the pages. But before he could start reading it. A chitter came down from above. Everyone looked up to see a monkey wearing a golden crown on their head drop from the ceiling. Hector cried out when it landed on his shoulders and started pulling on his hair, beard and mustache, "Ah! Get it off of me!"

"Excellente! Go, Mandy!" Tracker cheered and it caused all the mercenaries to turn to the group. Everyone said, "Uh-oh."

But even more chittering came again and even more monkeys dropped down and attacked the mercenaries. Ryder said, "Quick! While they're distracted, let's get Professor Hernandez."

"On it!" Chase, Rocky and Tracker said before racing forward. They weaved past the distracted men as they fought to get the monkey's off of them. The three Pups came up to the professor and said, "Professor! Let's go!"

"Right." The professor said before moving along with them. But a screeching monkey made everyone look to Mandy as Hector ripped her off of him. Glaring at the little primate he said, "Filthy animal!"

Then he threw her away from him. Skye acted fast by barking, "Arf! Arf! Wings."

Her Pup Pack transformed into a jet pack and she quickly took off. She flew right up to the flying monkey and caught her in her paws. It caused them to tumble backwards before Skye was able to stabilize herself.

The other monkeys stopped their attack while everyone watched Hector once again pick the book up and started to look through it. He stopped at a certain page before looking to the professor, "You wanted to see if this place was cursed, didn't you."

"Hector! No, don't!" Hernandez pleaded. Hector returned his gaze to the book before reading in Spanish, "Puerta de los condenados, abran sus puertas. Permita que el Lugar Muerto abra y libre la oscuridad desde dentro."

Suddenly, the wind blew heavily from the large hole in the wall just as sparks of lightning filled the middle. A black void opened up in the middle of the hole before expanding. Hector raised his hand when he felt a little odd. He gasped when he saw himself turning into mist. He cried out as his misty body was pulled into the void while the book fell to the ground. Everyone was surprised to see that it was actually happening. A red light appeared in the black portion of the portal and a silhouette soon appeared. High pitched laughter came from the figure before they walked through. Goku's eyes widened as did the newcomer. Pointing to the person, Goku questioned, "Garlic Jr.?!"

"Who?" Everyone else questioned. Garlic Jr. narrowed his eyes when he caught glimpse of Goku and said, "Well, if it isn't the father of the punk who seems to keep besting me."

"I thought you were once again stuck in the Dead Zone after what Gohan, Krillin and Piccolo told me about their last encounter with you." Goku said as he glared at the Makyan. Rocky looked to the Saiyan and asked, "Goku? You know this guy?"

"Yeah, we met once when he was using the Dragon Balls to make himself immortal." Goku explained. Garlic Jr. smirked and he said, "And what a wonderful wish it was too."

"Yeah, except you being stuck in the Dead Zone for all eternity and not being able to die or escape." Goku pointed out. Garlic Jr. shrugged and admitted, "That much is true. But now that I am once again free, I will conquer the universe. Starting with this alternate Earth."

"Not likely." Goku disagreed with a smirk of his own. Gesturing to himself he said, "We haven't been in a brawl in a long time and I've come a long way since then."

"I wouldn't get so cocky, Son Goku." Garlic Jr. said as he gathered his energy together. Assuming a stance with an arm facing out he was ready to fight. He grinned when he said, "I may have been stuck within the Dead Zone for quite some time, but I haven't lost my touch when it comes to combat."

"We'll see about that." Goku said before the two launched themselves at their foes. Their fists clashed together before they entered a rapid series of blows against the other. The entire chamber shook from the two's clashing. Everyone had to dodge when a large boulder came crashing down.

"Come on, we need to get out of here." Carlos said and pulled the professor along. But the professor removed his hand from Carlos' grip and said, "We cannot go. Not yet. We must send this Garlic Jr. back to the Dead Place. Or zone as I now am aware of it."

"But how are we going to be able to do it?" Carlos asked. Hernandez looked to where the portal was and saw the book lying on the ground. Pointing to it he said, "We need to get that spell book."

"Unfortunately, I can't and won't allow that to happen." Garlic Jr. said when he backhanded Goku away. He glanced to the two, apparently hearing everything. He disappeared from the air before reappearing beside the book.

Everyone watched as the little man flipped through the pages and found it a little odd to make sense. But seeing one of the mercenaries he said, "You there. Come and tell me what these words mean."

"It's probably written in really old Spanish or some other language." The mercenary shrugged. Garlic Jr. groaned in annoyance before staring hard at him hard. The mercenary cried out when the force of the Makyan's stare sent him flying and crashing into a wall. Everyone watched as the man slid down the wall before falling to the floor and not getting back up. Looking to the others he questioned, "Any other smart or unhelpful remarks?"

All the mercenaries quickly shook their heads and it sounded like a whole bunch of maracas. Garlic Jr. then decided, "I'll try and figure it out myself."

Looking down into the book he looked upon the words. He growled in annoyance when he couldn't figure it out. But Garlic Jr. looked back at the door way that brought him into the temple and saw that a red orb still sat in the middle. He walked up to the door before raising a hand to it. Taking a moment to look at his appendage, Garlic Jr. then placed it against the red orb. A small surge of red lightning came from the orb before vanishing into the Makyan's body. He smirked when he said, "Excellente. No hay nada que pueda impeder que aprenda los secretos de este libro."

"What?" Everyone gasped, not knowing how Garlic Jr. learned the language so fast. Garlic Jr. turned to them with a wicked grin and ordered the late Hector's former minions, "Atrapenlos!"

The men turned to the team before raising their weapons. Ryder looked to his Pups and said, "Looks like we're going on the offensive you guys."

"We need to get that book away from him!" Carlos reminded before pushing the professor out of the way of a mercenary when they came at them. Everyone got into action.

Goku blocked a guy's club before delivering a kick to the guy's gut. Another raised his gun and opened fire. The Saiyan quickly rolled out of the way while Chase jumped in and barked, "Ruff! Net!"

The cannon shot the next and it knocked the guy down. Some of the mercenaries were chasing after Mandy and a few other monkeys when Marshall stood at a convenient spot and barked, "Arf! Arf! Water Cannon!"

The cannon rose up before unleashing a small blast of water that turned the ground into mud. It caused the mercenaries to yell out as they slipped. From up above, Tracker was swinging around on his cables and dropped down between two of them as they were running. He shot the cables to where they caught their ankles. With a tug, Tracker caused them to trip while being launched up into the air again. With a laugh he fired the cables and started swinging again. Skye was flying around a few of the mercenaries and as they followed her, they became very dizzy. Zuma was leading a few of the mercenaries to where a trip wire was being held by both Rocky and Rubble. When he was clear over the wire, Rocky pulled back on his claw while Rubble pulled his shovel back. Ryder was putting what self-defense skills he had by blocking a few blunt weapons with a stick while moving out of the way from fists or legs.

Garlic Jr. sweat dropped from the sight of his new hench men losing to a group of kids, dogs and a single Saiyan. Clenching his eyes, fists and gritting his teeth for a moment, he looked upon the sight again and said, "If you want something done right, then you have to do it yourself."

A blood red aura surrounded the little man and he let loose loud growls. Everyone stopped what they were doing to see Garlic Jr. raise his clenched fists into the air. When he threw them down again, he suddenly his entire being grew. He became really buff; his shirt was completely ripped off when his muscles became huge. His skin turned dark green and he towered over everyone in the room. Looking to the heroes he said with a deeper voice, "Now, you all will have to deal with me. Ha, ha!"

"Just what can't this guy do?" Rubble asked as everyone had wide eyes. Chase and Rocky then took a chance by saying at the same, "Dying apparently."

"That's right, my little canine friends." Garlic Jr. said before leaping into the air. Goku was quick to jump up and meet him head on and the two once again entered a frenzy of blows against each other. Marshall, who had climbed onto a part of the ruin, looked over to where the portal was and said, "Hey, someone grab the book!"

Everyone happened to look and see that Garlic Jr. had indeed set the book down for some reason. Everyone currently not fighting looked to each other before making a mad dash for the book. Even Goku and Garlic Jr. stopped their brawl to see the commotion. Garlic Jr. quickly kicked Goku away before commanding, "Don't let those brats or mutts get their hands or paws on that book!"

"You should really focus on your opponent." Goku said before reappearing behind Garlic Jr. with Instant Transmission. He landed a roundhouse kick to the villain's head. The blow sent him flying through the air and Goku flew to help Ryder and the others.

Chase and a few mercenaries were able to get ahead of the others and made a dive for the book. One of the mercenaries was able to grab on to the book, but Chase was quick to snarl at the man. The man screamed and dropped the book. Chase jumped up and grabbed it with his mouth. Turning tail, he quickly made his way back to the guys, but stopped when he saw the crowd of people and pups coming right at him. He whimpered in fright before running around the mercenaries to get to the others. One of the mercenaries grabbed Chase with one hand before trying to wrestle the book out of the German Shepard's jaws. As he was running to help his friend, Marshall tripped over his paws and was able to knock a few mercenaries off their feet. Skye came flying in and snatched the book from both Chase and the mercenary. She turned and flew off, but before she could get very far, Garlic Jr. appeared in front of her and raising his hand he blasted a small wave of ki that knocked her back while dropping the book at the same time.

Garlic Jr. was able to grab it in midair before a cable suddenly yanked it from his hand. Garlic Jr. looked around before glaring at the one who took it. Tracker laughed as he swung away with one cable while holding the book in the other. Garlic Jr. created a small energy disk in his hand before throwing it after Tracker. Tracker yelped when the energy disk sliced through the cable and he fell to the floor. Carlos was able to run and catch the falling Pup. Both went tumbling across the floor and the book fell away from them.

Goku landed on one side of the book and leaned down to pick it up. But a kick from the side by Garlic Jr. sent him flying backwards. Goku came flying back up to him and struck the Makyan in the jaw. Garlic Jr. growled before grabbing the hand before striking Goku in the gut. Goku yelped in pain from the heaviness of the blow before Garlic Jr. effortlessly raised the Saiyan with one arm before flinging him across the room. Garlic Jr. then turned to the book on the ground.

"The time for games is over." The Makyan said as he leaned down. Rubble came running between Garlic Jr.'s legs and knocked the book away with his paw, 'Not yet it isn't."

"You stupid mutt!" Garlic Jr. shouted before knocking the Bulldog away. Rubble yelped as he was sent tumbling. The others looked to their friend before looking to the towering menace. Marshall, Rocky and Zuma all shouted, "You leave our friend alone!"

They all charged for the green giant but were blasted back by a wave of Ki. While Garlic Jr. was distracted by the three, Ryder was able to run by and grab the book. He quickly ran with it towards the professor. Garlic Jr. turned and was about to chase after them, but a few tennis balls to the head caused him to stop. He turned to see Chase firing another one and it hit him in the nose. The Makyan groaned in slight pain from the ball, but the pain didn't last long.

Ryder made it to the professor and handed him the book. As Hernandez flipped through the pages, Ryder asked, "So, what do we need to do, Professor?"

"Here it is." Professor Hernandez said when he stopped flipping through it. Pointing at a phrase written in Spanish, he then said, "Only through a canine that speaks in Spanish next to the gate, can the spell be performed."

"A canine?" Ryder asked, slightly confused by what the book said. But the lightbulb went off in his head and he said, "Tracker! It has to be meaning him."

"He should be able to do it." Hernandez nodded. Looking around he asked, "But where is he?"

Both he and Ryder looked about before the latter finally spotted the Chihuahua Pup rising to his paws. Quickly whipping out his Pup Pad, Ryder contacted him, "Tracker!"

"Si, Ryder." Tracker answered. Ryder informed him, "We have a way to end this fight. But you've got to be the one to read the spell."

"I'll try my best. Just tell me what I need to do." Tracker said to him. Ryder then instructed, "Make your way to the opening and we'll try to get the book to you."

"Si." Tracker said and they watched him make a run for the opening. Pressing the button again, Ryder said, "Pups, we need to get the book to Tracker. Only he can send Garlic Jr. back through and end this nightmare."

"On it." All six of them said at the same time. Ryder looked about and wondered where Goku was. He saw the Saiyan starting to fly over and waved his arms to signal Goku. He thought it was lucky that Goku had noticed him and landed. Goku asked, "What's up, guys?"

"We need you to distract Garlic Jr. long enough for Tracker to read the spell and send him back into the Dead Zone." Ryder told him. Goku looked to Garlic Jr. and saw that he was trying to grab Chase, Marshall and Skye as they ran or flew around him.

"I'm thinking that going Super Saiyan might not be such a good idea." Goku deduced. Deciding that a different approach is in order. Looking to Ryder he said, "You can count on me, Ryder."

The Saiyan flew off and went up to Garlic Jr. The Makyan became confused when the Pups left him alone and turned to see the Saiyan coming at him. Garlic Jr. laughed and said, "You won't be able to defeat me. My invincibility makes me impervious to any attacks you dish out."

"Then I guess I'll just have to give you everything I got." Goku smirked before bringing his arms close and hunching over a little. Then with a glare he said, "Kaio-ken!"

A red aura flared up around the Saiyan and it startled Garlic Jr. a little. Goku then charged for him and they were once again trading a series of blows against each other. The entire started shaking from their battle.

Seeing that Garlic Jr. was distracted, but there were still mercenaries to contend with, Ryder raised the book in his hand and shouted, "Chase, catch!"

"On it!" The German Shepard said as Ryder threw it. The book spun as it flew through the air and Chase was able to jump up and catch it in his mouth.

Garlic Jr. had happened to take a glance and saw that the heroes once again had the book. He sensed a punch from Goku and moved his head out of the way just in time. Goku was surprised and it left him open to an elbow to the face from Jr. As the Saiyan fell to the ground, Garlic Jr. took off after the book. Chase saw the Makyan coming and threw it, "Skye, it's coming to you!"

"I've got this one!" The Cockapoo said and took to the air again. She flew up to the book and was able to catch it before tossing it away. Skye looked over to the next Pup, "Rubble! Heads up!"

"Oh, okay." The English Bulldog said and was able to catch the book by extending his shovel. He gasped when he saw Garlic Jr. and the band of mercenaries coming at him. Rubble quickly ran the other way before flinging the book with his shovel, "Marshall!"

"I'm on it!" The Dalmatian said and started to run to where he could catch the book. But as he ran, he yelled as tripped over his paws and his hind paws kicked the book further across the chamber. Marshall looked up and shouted, "On it's way to you, Zuma!"

"I got it! I got it!" The Chocolate Labrador shouted before catching the book in his jaws. Then with a twist of his head Zuma threw it further, "Over to you, Wocky!"

"Thanks, Zuma!" The Mixed Breed shouted and caught the book with his claw hand from his Pup Pack. He took off when he heard Garlic Jr. growl in annoyance.

Tracker had made it next to the opening and looked a little nervous when he looked up to the red orb still there. But with a shake of his head, he readied himself. He saw Carlos running up to Rocky and the Mixed Breed handed the boy the book. Carlos came running up to him when Garlic Jr. suddenly dropped down in front of him. The Makyan gave a dark chuckle and reached for the boy. But Goku came flying in and grabbed Carlos' shoulder before disappearing with Instant Transmission behind Garlic Jr. Goku pushed Carlos forward and said, "Hurry, you guys!"

He rushed forward and met Garlic Jr. head on. Carlos quickly ran to Tracker and knelt by him. Tracker asked, "Which page is it?"

"Hang on." Carlos said as he flipped through the book. While he was doing that, Tracker was watching the fight between Goku and Garlic Jr.

The Saiyan was currently on the defensive as Garlic Jr. used his large fists to rain down punches on Goku. Goku was able to grab Garlic Jr.'s fists, but the Makyan was quick to deliver a quick to the Saiyan's gut. Goku fell to the ground and Garlic Jr. fired an orb of Ki. Goku cried out as it hit him and exploded. Everyone held on or ducked down as the explosion rocked the place.

"Come on! Come on!" Carlos said and returned to flipping the book. He turned to the right page and said, "Found it!"

"The book is useless to you." Garlic Jr. laughed and turned to them again. Pointing to the duo he said, "That book is useless to a boy and his mutt."

"But not to a Pup who can speak Spanish." Carlos said with a smirk. Tracker also smiled as well. Garlic Jr. started to look a little worried and said, "I'll destroy you before you can utter a single word!"

Leaping off the ground he flew right at them. Holding the book to where Tracker could see, Carlos pleaded, "Hurry, Tracker."

Looking down at the page Tracker was reading, "Alma malvada del Lugar Muerto, vuelve al lugar donde viniste." The book started sparkling as he continued to read, "Solo el bien puede retribuir por el mal que has hecho. Vuelve a donde has venido!"

Garlic Jr. came upon them just when Tracker finished saying the spell. A boom came from both the book and the gateway and sent a bolt of electricity at Garlic Jr. The immortal Makyan screamed in pain before being hurtled across the large chamber. Carlos dropped the book when it started to shake violently. Both he and Tracker moved back as it moved away from them and a blue dome of energy appeared around it. Garlic Jr. happened to rise to his feet when a sudden wind kicked up and gasped at what was happening. Small rocks and debris from the fighting were suddenly starting to be pulled into the red orb. The mercenaries started to run away as the wind intensified. Professor Hernandez shouted, "We've got to get out of here!"

"Let's go!" Goku shouted and the group started to run to the entrance. Garlic Jr. was fighting to keep himself from being sucked back into the Dead Zone. He noticed that the group was making their exit when he saw Rubble behind the others. Making a leap he grabbed the English Bulldog with one hand while holding onto the ground with the other. Rubble shouted, "Guys, help me!"

"Rubble!" The others shouted in fear for their friend. Garlic Jr. looked to Rubble and said, "I won't go back. Not alone at least."

Rubble gasped at the thought of being sent to the Dead Zone. Marshall, Tracker and Chase looked to each other before nodding. With his remaining cable, Tracker started swinging towards Rubble and Garlic Jr. Chase once again raised his tennis ball launcher and took aim while Marshall raised his water cannon high. Marshall fired a huge glob of water and Chase followed up with a tennis ball. The glob of water landed at Garlic Jr.'s feet and made it slippery while the tennis ball smacked against his face. Garlic Jr. cried out and clutched his face with a hand. Tracker came in and was able to grab a hold of Rubble by the fabric of his gear with his teeth and yanked the English Bulldog away. Seeing that there was nothing between them and Garlic Jr., Goku quickly fired an orb of Ki at Garlic Jr. The Makyan happened to look up and gasped when the orb of Ki hit him in the face and exploded. He took a step back, but the wet floor was slippery enough to make him lose his footing and he started tumbling towards the opening. He screamed as he was once again sucked back into the Dead Zone.

As Tracker swung across the ceiling, Rubble happened to take notice of the bowl on the pedestal and grabbed it with both paws. They landed amongst their friends and Ryder urged, "We need to get out of here!"

"No argument here." Carlos said and they started running again. The Dead Zone book's sphere soon stopped as its pages started to shred from the high winds and being sucked into the opening. Rubble grabbed the bowl with his mouth and started running with the others.

The group continued to run through the temple as it continued to shake. Large rocks started falling from the ceiling and Goku was able to save them with a blast when the big ones came at them. Knowing that the place would collapse on them at any moment, Ryder said, "Goku! We need to get out, fast!"

"On it!" Goku said and placed his fingers to his forehead again. Everyone grabbed on to him or one of the others before they disappeared by Instant Transmission.

They reappeared just outside the temple entrance and turned to watch. They covered their faces as the entrance crumbled and the running water started covering the ruined entrance. They looked up and the sound of rumbling made them look up to the mountain behind the cliff to see a section of it collapse as well.

Everyone took a deep breath and Tracker stood on his back legs and started to sing as he danced, "Me encanta el sol. Oh, how I love the beautiful sunshine."

A round of laughter went about the group at his silliness. When the laughter was over, Professor Hernandez looked to his rescuers and said, "Thank you, mi amigos. You helped save my life and stop both Hector and Garlic Jr. from wreaking havoc on the world."

"I'm a little surprised that this place was even connected to the Dead Zone." Goku commented as it confused him. Rocky then said, "Well, it's closed again and Garlic Jr. is once again inside."

"How's everyone feeling?" Ryder asked them. Goku and the Pups looked to each other and said, "Other than a few bruises here and there, not that bad."

"What's Rubble got there?" Carlos asked and they all looked to see the English Bulldog set the bowl down. Everyone looked into the bowl and Rocky said, "They look like some kind of root."

"Let me take a look at one." Professor Hernandez said and picked up a root. Taking a close look at it he said, "It do believe that this is a Healing Root."

"Healing Root?" The others all asked in curious astonishment. Hernandez nodded and said, "From my studies, it is an ancient root that has great healing qualities. While it is ineffective on curing diseases such as the likes of the common cold or such as it, it's able to heal injuries."

"Huh, sounds a lot like a Senzu Bean." Goku said when he looked at the root in the professor's hand. But Hernandez shook his head and said, "But these things must be so old that they're no good."

"I'll try one." Goku volunteered. His intentions didn't sit too well with his friends as Ryder said, "That may not be such a good idea, Goku. What if they don't work, or end up hurting you more than helping?"

"Well, there's only one way to find out." Goku said before taking the root in the professor's hand. He took a deep breath and said, "Whelp. Here goes nothing."

He placed the root in his mouth and started to chew. A smile adorned his face and he said, "Hey! It's chewy!"

His comment caused everyone to chuckle a little. When he swallowed the root, his eyes widened and he said, "Man! I feel a whole lot better after taking that."

"It really worked?" Tracker asked with a curious look. Goku nodded and said, "Yeah. Maybe you Pups should take one since you got roughed up too."

Each of the Pups took a root before eating it. When they swallowed they had the same reaction and Chase said, "You were right, Goku."

"We do feel a lot better." Skye added. Tracker looked down into the bowl and said, "And look, there's still some more in the bowl."

They looked and saw that he was right. Carlos then said, "Maybe you guys should hold on to them. You might need them a lot more than we do."

"Really?" Rubble asked. Carlos nodded and said, "Yeah. I mean it."

"So, Professor Hernandez." Ryder said to the professor. Hernandez turned to him and Ryder asked, "Should we give you a lift back to the big city?"

"Just to Adventure Bay will be fine." Hernandez nodded. Then he said, "From there, I'll catch the train back."

"Care to join us, guys?" Chase asked Tracker and Carlos. The boy shrugged and said, "After a day like today, I could go for a little rest and relaxation."

"And remember, Professor Hernandez." Ryder said. Then he said one of his catchphrases, "Whenever you're in trouble, just yelp for help."

"I'll keep that in mind, Ryder." Professor Hernandez said as they started walking back to the Paw Patroller.

Narrator: With the help of Goku and the Paw Patrol, Carlos and Tracker were able to avert a huge disaster. And with the acquirement of the Healing Root, the group will be able to heal after their more tougher missions. Who will be the next Pup to team up with Goku? Author's Note: Don't know if this will be my longest chapter, but we'll just have to wait and see. The Healing Roots, didn't have a better name, was totally intentional. We'll just have to see where the story goes. And I do apologize if the Spanish is not that great. I look forward to reading your reviews.
