The third chapter of Whiteout is here. Now, this chapter is jumping to episode three, but has a few changes to fit Brightburn. Enjoy. Disclaimer: I do not own Brightburn or The Loud House.
At Royal Woods Elementary School, Lincoln was opening his locker while thinking about a very special event tonight, but stopped when someone pantsed him. The other kids laughed at him and started to take photos of his expense, but he has no reaction. During class, Lincoln is writing something in his notebook. It was a symbol with a backwards L with his first name on the left and a regular L with his last name on the right inside a circle. After, Lincoln gets out of his desk, but the same kid tied his shoelaces together and he trips and falls. The other kids laughed and photographs this, too and still nothing from him. Then at lunch, Lincoln sits down in his favorite lunch seat only to make a fart noise and find that he sat on a whoopee cushion. The other kids laughed and photographs again with him having no reaction again. Finally, the bell rings and he checks his locker only for a pile of garbage to fall onto him. The kids do what they did before again. Lincoln opens up a door from the trash, and then breathes in and out. "All right. It's okay" Lincoln mutters to himself.
Lincoln walks home from school saying to himself, "It's okay. Tonight is a special night and I'm not gonna let this day ruin it." Lincoln grabs his head to calm down, but felt something on his head. He pulls it off and it was a note. "Lame-O" He reads it and sighs. He then felt something else on his head, something wet and squishy. "Ew, gum!" He said in disgust. "Well, I better get home soon. Maybe mom and dad can help me." Lincoln goes into his house, walks to his parents' bedroom door, and knocks.
"Who is it?" Rita answered
"Mom, it's Lincoln. Could you let me in?" Rita then opened the door and was shocked of what was on Lincoln's head.
"Lincoln what happened?"
"Can we talk inside?" Rita nodded, but was unaware Lynn Jr. was listening.
Inside, Lynn Sr. saw what was on Lincoln's and was stunned. 'Woah. Son, what happened?" Lincoln sat down on his parents' bed and started to talk about what was happening at school, while Rita was cutting the gum out with scissors.
"And that's what happened" Both parents were speechless at what Lincoln explained.
"Well, I just don't know what to say" Rita said throwing away the cut out gum.
"I do" Lynn Sr. said. "You should report this young man to the principal."
"It's not a young man dad" Lincoln sighed. "It's a girl."
"Still doesn't make a difference. You should go report to the principal, boy or girl." Lincoln nodded. "Hey, why don't you start mowing the back lawn. It could take your mind off it."
Lincoln sighed, "Okay dad." Before Lincoln goes, Rita held his shoulder.
"Don't worry" Rita reassured. "We're still celebrating something very special. We can do it at, say, Gus's Games & Grub?" Lincoln eyes widened and nodded fast. Rita smiled. "Good. Now go on." Lincoln left and Rita turned to her husband. "Mow the lawn? Seriously?"
"What?" Lynn Sr. said in defense. "Like I said, it'll take his mind off it and helps with chores." Rita only sighed.
As Lincoln went to the back door, all the girls except Lisa gave him a big group hug and suffocated him (metaphorically). "What's going in?" Lincoln asked perplexed.
"Lincoln! Why didn't you tell us you had a girlfriend?!" Luna said excitedly.
"She sounds so pretty!" Lola also said excitedly.
"Seriously, what is happening?" Lincoln asked, still perplexed. They all release Lincoln from their hug.
"Lincoln, we over heard you talking with mom and dad" Lori said. "When a girl picks on you, that only ever means one thing: she likes you!." The girls all squeal again and Lincoln is just completely dumbfounded at this explanation.
"It does?" Lincoln asked in disbelief. They all nodded. "But dad said I should go the the principal."
"You should go and kiss her" Leni said.
"Really?" Lincoln asked. Lily makes kissy faces in agreement. Lincoln thinks about it and says, "Okay, i'll think about." The girls all squeal again. "But I need to mow the law, so could you all move?" They all moved and Lincoln went into the backyard. He goes down the steps and sees the lawnmower already out. He goes and pulls the cord, but it wouldn't start. "Come on" Lincoln said in frustration as he pulls it multiple times. With one last go, he pulls the cord so hard, it flew behind him far away from his house. Lincoln was both surprised and confused, so he decides to follow it.
The lawnmower landed in an open field and the blade was turning. Lincoln walked slowly towards it and started to hear the voice in his head. He looked at his hand and slowly reached the blade. He got closer, until he stuck his whole hand in the lawnmower and the voice stopped, however, he looked at the blade and it bended. He then looked at his hand and it was completely fine. Lincoln was still confused at this dilemma.
Tonight
The Loud family we're all at Gus's Games & Grub, celebrating the special event, Lincoln's 11th birthday. With Lori working as an employee, getting tokens was no problem. Lincoln played various games with his mom and after that, they started cake.
"Happy birthday Lincoln!" The Loud family shouted. Lincoln blew out his candles and everyone cheered. Everyone ate their slice of cake and it was about time for Lincoln to open his present.
"Pop-Pop couldn't make it, but this is from him" Rita said, giving Lincoln a big box. He unwrapped it and it was an actual sniper rifle.
"Wow" Lincoln said excited. "I wish Pop-Pop was here. This is so cool." Lincoln was smiling wide, but Lynn Sr. was worried.
"Um honey, don't you think that's a bit dangerous?" Lynn Sr. asked his wife.
"Don't worry, it's perfectly safe" Rita reassured, but Lynn Sr. didn't believe it.
"No, I don't think so" Lynn Sr. said, taking away Lincoln's present. "I'm confiscating this." Lincoln was not pleased at this.
"Give it to me" He demanded.
"I'm sorry. What did you just say?" Lynn Sr asked sternly.
"I said, give it to me!" Lincoln hit his fist on the table, which made the game screens flicker. Lynn Sr. did not like this attitude.
"Lincoln Loud, don't you dare talk to me like that" He said, grabbing Lincoln's arm. The rest of the Loud family was getting worried, but Rita splits the two up.
"Settle down you two" Rita said. "This is supposed to be Lincoln's. Can't he have fun."
Lynn Sr. sighs and says, "Maybe I should go wait in the van." He takes the sniper rifle with him, making Lincoln upset.
Rita touches Lincoln shoulder and said "Don't worry, why don't we play some more games." Lincoln nodded. Lincoln and Rita got up to the games, but Lori was concerned. As Lynn Sr. left, she decides to use her break and follow her dad.
Outside, Lynn Sr. was putting away the sniper rifle in the trunk of the van, but a voice spoke up to him. "Dad?"
He turns and sees Lori and says, "Oh, hey Lori. Why aren't you inside?"
"I'm on my break. I needed to tell you something about what happened last night." Lynn Sr. was listening about what happened last night. At the end, he was stunned.
"Did he find it?" Lynn Sr. asked worried.
"I don't know, but we should tell mom."
"Good idea. After this, i'll tell your mother. Now, go before your break is over." Lori went back inside, while Lynn Sr. was scared. "I hope tomorrow will go well."
Sorry, but Clyde is not Lincoln's friend in the story. Lincoln is a bit of a loner, like Brandon. But whatever happens next, well Lincoln is about to see his bully. Hope you enjoyed it.
