" We're here Blitz, everyone ready to head out? " Lily asked as she and Loona entered the conference.
As she did, she saw the three imps were checking over their weapons of choice from a small spread of various weapons laid out on the conference table.
" Almost, we're doing some final preparations, well be ready in few minutes so if you need to piss or something now's the time. " Blitz said nonchalantly while checking his rifle's scope.
" Okay, I'll be right back then. " Lily informed n her co-workers as she turned to leave the room.
" Hmm, hm, hm hmm ~ " Lily hummed as she finished washing her hands in the sink I.M.P's girls restroom.
After getting a paper towel and drying her hands, she left the restroom and headed for the breakroom's kitchen.
" Hmm, ah there they are, these will be helpful for this job. " Lily said as she finished looking through some of the kitchens cabinets.
She had collected four items, a cheap lighter, a metal spoon, a Ziploc sandwich and gallon baggy, she then approached a kitchen counter and placed them down on a paper towel.
After she finished measured a few lines, she filled the spoon with the powder then flicked her right thumb, igniting a bright flame on the tip of her thumb.
After melting down it into a liquid, she filled the syringe with the liquified powder, then put the syringe cap back on.
After she threw away the paper towel in a trash can, she stuffed the items in an interior pockets of her jacket, then headed back to the conference room.
" I'm back. " Lily said casually as she entered the conference room, seeing Blitz and the others finishing up equipping their gear.
While Loona sat lazy in a office chair with her feet propped up on the table, doing something on her phone as she looked at the screen in boredom.
" Good timing, we're ready to #$%&ing roll out, Loonie the book please. " Blitz said as he stuffed his guns into one of his jacket's magic storage pockets.
" Yeah, I'm on it. " Loona said as she pocketed her phone and stood up from her chair, grabbing the grimoire as she did.
" So how does this all work, we need to set up a ritual or something? " Lily asked, curious as how they were going into access the living world.
" Nothing like that $#%&, we just read the spell and bam, we've got ourselves a #$%&ing free way to the surface world." Blitz said as Loona walked up to the wall with the grimoire in hand.
As Loona stood near the wall, she opened the grimoire where a bookmaker was, and began silently reading the magical texts.
As she did, the arcane texts and symbols began to glow a twilight purple and night blue, a second later a portal with a dark red edge opened on the wall.
" Wow Loona, you managed to open a portal to the living world, that's #$%&ing amazing! "Lily said as she marveled at seeing the hellhound accomplish such a feat.
" Thanks, though I'm just reading the spell, the book does all the work. " Loona said as she subtly looked away, hiding her smile as she faintly blushed at the compliment.
"Hey, you learned to read a spell from the personal grimoire of the head of the Goetic family, that's pretty amazing on its own. " Lily said sincerely as she walked up beside Loona with a smile.
" Well thanks Lily. " Loona said softly with a faint chuckle, her tail slightly wagging happily at hearing Lily praising her.
" Alright folks, let's hurry this $#%& up, we don't got all #$%&ing day. " Blitz said as he walked up and stepped through the portal.
" We're right behind you boss, come on Mox! " Millie said excitedly with a smile as she hopped through the portal with Moxxie following after her.
" Well I'm off on my first assassination job on earth, wish me luck." Lily said as she turned and smiled at Loona.
" Good luck Lily, and don't worry you'll do great, and be careful out there, okay? " Loona said as she looked at Lily, not wanting to lose her dear friend again.
" I will, see you when I get back Loona. " Lily said happily as she waved at the hellhound, before stepping through the portal.
After Lily stepped through the portal, she was met with cold chilling wind hitting her as she entered the living world, and felt cold concrete as her feet touched the ground.
As soon as she was completely through the portal, the portal closed behind her, and she instantly began surveying where they were at.
She saw she and three imps were in a back ally behind some apartment buildings, thankfully with no humans around to see them.
" $#%&, it is #$%&ing cold here!" Blitz said as he wrapped his arms around himself for warmth, exhaling white clouds of clearly visible steam with each word due to the cold air.
" W-Why is it so cold here, w-where'd are we in the human world? " Moxxie asked through jittery teeth, as he Millie held each others hands for warmth.
" We're in Chicago, no wonder its so cold here." Lily informed her teammates as she looked at a GPS map of Earth on her IPhone.
" The portal opened in an alley right beside a place called, Windy heights apartments, must be where our targets is currently. "
" Next time Blitz, have the clients tell you any info about where the targets lives, so we can be prepared better for situations like this. " Lily sad as she pocketed her phone in one of her shorts pockets.
" Y-you $#%&ing b-bet I will, w-wait how are you not c-cold. " Blitz asked as his whole body shivered, noticing how Lily seemed to not be effect by the cold.
" I am a bit cold, but I'm a Hellcat Blitz, my body temperature is higher than yours, plus nmy whole body is covered in a natural coat of fur. " Lily stated flatly as she gestured at her fur covered body.
" M-Mind if I hug you for warmth L-Lily, I'm f-f-freezing over here. " Millie said through jittery teeth as she shivered like a leaf in wind, wearing the least amount of clothing out of all of them.
" W-Well I don't let just anybody do that, but for you Millie I'll make an exception, just watch oof-! " Lily said, as Millie rushed over and hugged the Hellcat before she could finish.
" Wowee Lily your really warm, your like a full body hand warmer, and your fur's so soft and fluffy, and really silky smooth. " Millie said as she leaned further into Lily's fur, enjoying it's wonderful warmth and feeling of it.
" T-Thanks, j-just watch where you place your hands. " Lily said with a slight blush as she wrapped her arms around Millie's torso and her tail around her legs to help warm the Imp up.
" Alright let's #$%&ing hurry and find this #$%&er fast, I can feel my #$%&ing tail going numb. " Blitz said irritability as he rubbed his tail to warm it.
" Okay, you feeling better Millie? " Lily asked as she and the imps broke the hug.
" Yeah I'm a bit better now, thanks Lily. " Millie said gratefully as she wrapped her arms around herself, now feeling a bit warmer after the hug.
" Your welcome. " Lily said with a smile, glad she could help her coworker.
" Alright, here's the #$%&er's name Lily, do your thing. " Blitz said as pulled out a slip of paper from one of his jacket's pockets.
Blitz then handed Lily the slip of paper, and after taking it, she closed her eyes as she took a deep sniff of the paper before opening her eyes again.
" Alright Lily, lead the way, let's #$%&ing find this #$%&er. " Blitz said as he said as he rubbed his hands together for warmth.
" Ah Blitz, I can't find him as is, since I can't visually see them. " Lily said flatly to the tall imp like it was an obvious thing.
" Wait what, I am thought you said you could track like a hellhound. " Blitz said as he stared at Lily in shock of this news.
" If a Hellhound or Hellcat only have a name, then they can only identify the target If they visually see them. " Lily said defensively as she stated her tracking abilities limitations.
" Oh. " Blitz said in understanding.
" I thought you'd know something like that, considering Loona is a Hellhound. " Lily said as she looked at Blitz curiously.
" Well I obviously didn't, so how are we going find this #$%&er, we can't search the whole #$%&ing building. " Blitz said as he gestured at the large apartment building.
" I have just the thing for when situations like this happen. " Lily said as she placed a paw like hand under the the fur above her collarbone.
She then pulled out a necklace made of woven blood red thread, and a palm sized black oval shaped locket attached to it from underneath her fur.
The oval shaped locket had red runic markings engraved across it, and a red demonic eye with a black slit pupil on it.
" How'd you do that, was that some fancy magic trick? " Blitz asked, curious how the Hellcat pulled out the necklace from her fur.
" Just one of the magic abilities I inherited from the Zelramortas, it works the same as how a magic pocket works, but I'm using my fur to do so. "
" There's a storage limit, and I can't store living things, but it certainly helps with carrying around and hiding my gear. " Lily said as she explained her fur's storage ability.
" Huh neat, so what's that babble you got for? " Blitz asked with a raised eyebrow as he saw the necklace, curious as to what it was for.
" This is a tracking talisman, their pretty handy for situations like this, if you know how to use them. " Lily said as she flipped the locket open.
She then placed the slip of paper with the target's name in it and closed it, a second later the eye on the locket glowed a faint bright red.
Then a the locket suddenly began floating and pointing up at the second floor of the Windy Heights apartment building.
" There we go, these things only need something belonging to the one your wish to track, like some hair, some torn cloth, or something with their name. "
" And the eye on the talisman will glow a brighter red the closer you are to the target. " Lily said as she explained how the talisman functioned.
" The downside is, they can only track one target for one hour, then they stop working, and then the talisman destroys itself. "
" Another downside about them, is that even the cheap ones like this one here are very expensive. " Lily explained.
" G-Great, so now so now what's your plan to take this $#%&head out? " Blitz asked a shivered a bit from a cold breeze.
" Well you said the target was a drug addict, so I figured the best way to kill them was with drugs, this way the humans won't suspect anything. " Lily said as she explained what she wanted to do.
" Wow, so did ya bring anything to use? " Millie asked, impressed with th Hellcat's way of thinking.
" I did, brought a syringe of Snow angel dust before we left. " Lily said as she informed them.
" Huh, that's really clever ." Moxxie said, amazed by how prepared Lily was.
" Thanks, I've done similar stuff like this on a few jobs before, so I thought of this when I heard the target was a drug user. " Lily said as she pocketed the drugs and baggy in her jacket.
" So how do we get inside, back door, the rooftop? " Blitz asked, curious as how they'd processed.
" We'll use that fire escape stairway on the back of the building to get up to the second floor, then we'll enter through the apartment's window near the fire escape. " Lily said as she pointed to their way up.
" Sounds good, okay let's #$%&ing hurry this up before we get turned into #$%&ing popsicles out here. " Blitz said, eager to get inside and out of the cold.
" Hold up, we all need to put silencers on our guns before we go, just in case we need to use them to kill the target. " Lily said as she addressed her co-workers.
" Ah, good point. " Moxxie said as he pulled out his guns and attached silencers to them.
" Fine whatever. " Blitz said with groan as he did the same to his guns.
" I don't really use guns, it okay if I use a knife? " Millie asked, pulling out a hunting knife from one of her pant's pockets.
" Sure, but make sure not to go overboard, we need to make it look like a human did it, but hopefully we won't have to resort to that. " Lily said as she attached a black silencer to her Deagle
" Sounds good to me, now let's go #$%&ing kill this #$%& and get out of here. " Blitz said eagerly as they set out after their target.
With their plan decided and everything ready, Lily and the three imps silently made their way up the fire escape stairways to the second floor.
They came to a stop at a window on the second floor, to which the magic talisman was pointing directly at, indicating they found the target's room.
" Alright, this is the place, he's somewhere right in this apartment. " Lily said as she peered through the window.
" This looks like this leads into the apartment's bedroom, give me a sec so I can check to hear if anyone's coming. " Lily said as she pocketed the talisman and leaned her ear close to the window's glass panel.
" Hear anything? " Millie asked curiously after a few moments had passed.
" Hmm, I faintly hear a TV from another room further in, I don't hear anything else though, so we can go in. " Lily said and she stepped back from the window.
" Good, Moxxie get the break-in-kit. " Blitz whispered as he turned to bowtie wearing imp.
" Got it right here sir. " Moxxie said as he pulled out a small red canvas roll up toll bag from inside his coat.
" There's no need to bother, I can easily get a window like this open without tools. " Lily said as she unsheathed a single 7 inch dark purple claw from her right index finger.
Her claw then began to faintly glow with a dark crimson aura around it, as she used her shape-shifting powers to alter the shape of her claw.
Her claw began to extended to 12 inches long, and became flat and metallic, becoming a claw shaped blade when it was done changing.
" Wow, that's a #%&ing nice trick. " Blitz said in amazement as he, Moxxie, and Millie saw Lily's claw morph.
" Yeah it's pretty handy, now let me focus and I'll have this window open in a sec. " Lily said as she began to work her blade like claw straight in between the sash and the window.
* Click. *
" There we go. " Lily said with a triumphant smile, as the four demons heard a soft click as the window latch was opened.
As they stealthy entered the building through the opened window, Lily silently closed the window after they entered into the apartments bedroom.
The bedroom was average looking, it had medium dark brown wooden flooring, a closet, a double bed, basic bedroom furniture, and soft pale blue walls.
" Hold up, I'm smell something, a single male human scent, I'm pretty sure it's our target's scent. " Lily said softly as she sniffed the air.
" Alright let's hunt this #$%&er, lead the way Lily. " Blitz said as he and Moxxie pulled out their guns, while Millie pulled out her knife.
" Alright, follow me. " Lily said as she lead them further into the apartment.
As the four demons stealthily ventured further into the apartment, Lily lead them through a hallway, and right outside of an arched doorway.
It lead into what looked like the apartment's living room, where they could hear the sounds of a TV coming from.
As they lined up and leaned on the wall beside the entrance to the living room, Lily raised her hand and used a tell them to hold their position.
She then leaned her ear close to the wall, listing for the slightest sound, other than the noise of the TV in the living room.
" I don't hear anything, but he's in the living room or close by, cover me while I take a peek to see. " Lily whispered softly as she turned to her teammates.
" We gotcha covered girl, don't worry. " Millie said softly with a cheerful smile.
" Alright, here I go. " Lily said softly, before getting closer to the edge of the archway and leaned her head into the next room.
As she did, she saw the small living room walls were a light grey, the floor had dark brown tile flooring, with a medium size dark beige rug on it.
The room had a 35 inch flat screen TV, sitting on a black wooden TV stand, and was currently showing a advertisement about skin care.
There was also a small, short, dark wooden four legged coffee table placed in front of a dark beige brown couch,with two beer bottles sitting on it.
Sitting on the coach was a lone human man, looking to be in his mid to late thirties, with his head leaning back against the coach with his eyes closed.
He wore a black t-shirt, a pair of dark gray cargo pants jeans, and grey wool socks, he had a bald head, a dark brown goatee, and a black spade tattoo on his rights hand.
Thanks to Lily's tracking ability, the human was glowing with a red aura around him, confirming he was the target they were after.
Using her sharp hearing, Lily heard the sounds of soft slow breathing coming from the human, indicating he was asleep.
" Okay, our target is in the room sitting on a coach and looks sound asleep, now's our best opportunity for this. " Lily said softly as she turned back and informed her teammates."
" Great, now let's end this #$%&er and get out of here. " Blitz said softly with as smile and his thin tail wagging happily.
" Alright now follow me, and only step where I step, we don't want someone tripping, or a squeaky floorboard to wake him up. " Lily said softly before she entered the living room.
Silently as a ghost, the four demons slowly made their way to their target step by step, as Lily lead the way with the three imps following behind her.
As they finally reached the coach, the imps stood nearby with their weapons drawn, watching their target as Lily got to work.
She pulled out and put on a pair of white latex gloves, and then pulled out the medical syringe filled with clear liquid in it.
She then pulled out a rag and wiped the syringe clean of prints, then she took off the syringe cap, and gently and carefully turned the man's left arm over to find a vain.
Once a vain was found, Lily carefully and slowly stuck the needle in, while periodically glancing at the sleeping target's face as she did.
Once the syringe was emptied, the needle was carefully and slowly pulled out, before being placed on the coffee table.
She waited for a few seconds to let the drugs take full effect, then she pulled out a gallon size Ziploc baggy and silently opened it.
She then gently lifted the human's head up, just enough to slid the baggy completely over the human's head.
Once that was done, Lily then gently laid the human's head back on the coach, and then placed her paw like hand over the human's nose and mouth.
After a few seconds, she could feel the man's breath slowing down through the baggy, getting slower and shallower as the seconds passed.
The man then began to twitch, and appeared to be choking, till he eventually stopped moving altogether and ceased breathing.
" Alright, he's dead. " Lily said after carefully checking for a pulse and signs of breathing, feeling nothing as she did.
"#$%&ing finally, that took #$%&ing over three minutes. " Blitz said as he looked the time on his phone.
" Well sorry, this method it's the fastest to kill someone with. " Lily said with a annoyed scoff as she took off the gallon baggy and stuffed in on of her jacket pockets.
" Are you sure he's dead? " Moxxie asked as he looked at the motionless human.
" Yep, I injected more than enough for an overdose, and I hear no breathing and feel no pulse. " Lily said after checking again for confirmation of death.
" Alright let me finish setting things up, and we can can get out of here and go back home. " Lily said as she pulled out another baggy from inside her jacket.
" Alright, do your thing Lily. " Blitz said as he pocketed his pistol and watched Lily.
Lily opened the baggy and took a palm sized unlabeled bag of Snow angel dust, along with a metal spoon, a lighter and wiped them clean of prints.
She then placed them down on the table near the syringe, once done with that, she took a step back to make sure nothing stood out of place.
" We all set to go now? " Blitz asked as his tail swished lightly, ready to be done and gone.
" Yeah, I think so. " Lily said with a nod as she took off and pocketed the gloves, satisfied with her placement of the items.
" Alrighty, let's vamos out of this #$%&ing $#%&y dump. " Blitz said happily, glad to hear they were ready to go.
" Y'all don't have to tell me twice, though I'm none too excited about heading back in the cold and wind. " Millie said with a shudder.
" Well the bright side is thankfully we don't have far to go to get back to the portal. " Lily said as she patted Millie's shoulder sympathetically.
" Right, now let's get our a##'s out of here. " Blitz said as he and his team head to apartment's bedroom to leave the building.
" #$%&, it's even #$%&ing worse out here than before. " Blitz said as he and his team stepped out of the apartment's bedroom window and on to the fire escape stairway.
" You almost done with that $#%& Lily? " Blitz asked impatiently, looking over at the Hellcat fiddling with the window, as he, Millie, and Moxxie shivered from the cold.
" Almost, and done. " Lily said a second after having finished locking the window back from the outside.
" Good, now let's get the #$%& out of here! " Blitz said energetically, as a they all made their way down the fire escape stairway.
" Alrighty everyone, Loonie will have the portal open in a sec. " Blitz happily announced as he pocketing his phone after ending a call.
" Good, I'll be glad to get out of all this cold wind. " Lily said as her fluffed her fur while her tail softly swished from side to side.
A second later, a portal with dark red edges suddenly opened, appearing on the alley wall where they first entered the surface world.
On the other side of the portal, was the reception room of I.M.P, with Loona standing in front of the portal with the grimoire in hand.
" Whew, I am glad to be back. " Millie happily said as she rushed through the portal, shortly followed by the rest of the I.M.P team.
" Your telling me, I felt like my hands were going numb. " Moxxie said as he walked after his wife.
" Well it could have been a lot worse than that, but hopefully next time we'll be more prepared. " Lily said as she shook herself off and fluffed up her fur.
" Oh I'll make sure we don't get #$%&ed over like that again. " Blitz said said as he straightened out his jacket collar.
" So, how'd the job go? " Loona asked curiously after she closed the portal.
" Oh it was #$%&ing awful, we practically walked out into a #$%&ing freezer, my #$%&ing tail felt like it was going to freeze off my a## " Blitz said shivered a bit from still feeling the cold.
" Yeesh, where'd you all ended up going to? " Loona asked as she sat down at her desk chair, placing the grimoire on she did.
" We went to Chicago. " Lily said simply as she sat on the office chair next to Loona at the reception desk.
" You all went to Chicago, dressed like that? " Loona said with a raised brow as she looked at the Imps attire
" Yeah, well we weren't expecting to, but next time we'll be more prepared. " Blitz said as he crossed his arms with an annoyed huff.
" Oh and Lily was #$%&ing amazing, she had a whole #$%&ing plan and everything ready, did the whole job single handedly nice and clean. " Blitz said as he instantly cheered up and he patted Lily on the shoulder.
" Thanks Blitz. " Lily said with a happy smile, glad she impressed her boss on her first job.
" Now I'll be in my office, gotta tell the client job's done, check the rest of this week's appointments and all that $#%&. " Blitz said happily before heading off for his office.
" Well we'll be heading ta our office after we put our stuff back in the armory, see ya two later. " Millie said as she and Moxxie headed out of the reception room.
" So now that your back, you still interested in watching those videos? " Loona asked as she gestured to her desk computer.
" Yeah, hopefully this time without interruption. " Lily said with a smile, happy to have the chance of hanging out with Loona after so long.
" We usually only do one assassination per a day, but on the occasions we do more than one a day, Blitz will take breaks between jobs. " Loona said as she tuned on computer monitor.
" That's good to hear. " Lily said with a sigh of relief, glad that was the case.
" Yeah, hey can you go get our snacks while I find the videos, I put our drinks in the fridge and the snacks in the cabinet on the left of it. " Loona said as she searched for the videos to watch.
" Sure thing. " Lily said as she hopped up from her seat and headed to the breakroom kitchen.
" Alright, lets see what we got here. " Lily said as she sat down in her chair after placing two beer bottles and chip bags down on the reception desk.
Loona then clicked on her computer's keyboard, the video started with showing a skating park in the pride ring from the color of the sky.
From the looks of it, the one recording was standing in middle of a slope, then video's point of view shifted to a tall concrete stairway.
At the top of the stairway, was a slightly taller than average young adult male imp with thick goat like horns standing a few feet from the stairway.
He was wearing a black t-shirt, torn dark blue jeans, and red sneakers, and had a black skateboard with dark red flames across it.
" Alright I'm recording, go for it dude! " Came a young male voice from the one recording.
Hearing this, the goat horned Imp hopped on his skateboard and raced towards the stairway, and jumped high and landed on the handrail.
He did good, until he reached the midpoint of the handrail, his skateboard began to wobble, then it suddenly slid from underneath his feet.
He fell backwards while going forward, hitting the stairs feet first, but was unable to stop due to the forward momentum he had generated.
" Augh, guah, ugh! " The goat horned Imp yelled as tumbled down the stairway
Hitting a several stone steps and the metal handrail a few times as he did, and face planted as he reached the bottom.
" Augh. " The goat horned Imp groaned loudly as he rolled on to his back.
He had survived the fall, but was pretty badly hurt, covered in several small and big scrapes, scratches, and bruises across his body.
" Yo dude, are you okay?! " The demon recording asked as he rushed to his injured friend just before the video ended.
" Oof that's gotta hurt, he went rolling down those stairs like a tumbleweed. " Lily said with a soft chuckle before she took a drink of her beer.
" Yeah your right. " Loona said with soft laugh at the comparison as the next video loaded.
" Hey M&M and Lily, we've got another job to do! " Came the sound of Blitz's voice booming as he walked out of his office while using his megaphone.
" Ugh, #$%&ing really? " Loona asked as she irritably groaned loudly as her ears folding back in annoyance.
" Apparently so. " Lily said with a sign, hopping up from her seat and walked over to Blitz.
" Another job already, it hasn't even been an hour since the last one sir. " Moxxie asked as he and Millie walked into the reception room.
" Well just checked this week's appointments and saw we had one more job scheduled for today. " Blitz informed them as he looked his phone.
" By that, you mean you forgot about it? " Moxxie asked dryly with a raised eyebrow whole looking at Blitz.
" Yeah, yeah no need to be such a #$%&ing nag Mox, this is the last job to do for today, so let's get our $#%& and get it done already. " Blitz said as he walking off towards the conference room.
" Huha. " Moxxie groaned as he pitched his brow in annoyance while Millie and him followed Blitz
" Huha sorry Loona, at least this is the last job for the day. " Lily said as she smiled at the hellhound receptionist.
" Yeah, hopefully this will be over quick like the last one. " Loona said as she got up and grabbed the grimoire.
" Hopefully, then we can head to that bar you mentioned and hang out after I get back. " Lily said as walked beside Loona.
" Sounds good. " Loona said with a smile as they headed to the conference room.
