Greetings to all you reading my fanfic, I hope you had a very merry Christmas! Now instead of doing what I said I was gonna do, I decided to just make it a two part endeavor for Finn because I'm lazy and I don't want to write several chapters worth of monster mashing. In this chapter, part two of two by the way, Finn shows the people of Ooo the real Finnegan Campbell.

Chapter 11

Finn's Endeavor (part 2)

After Finn and Jake left Jake's half of the treasure at Lady's place, (much to the delight of Lady) they made their way to the Wildberry Kingdom. Lady used some Rainicorn healing on the two boys so they didn't look so beat up, but when Finn saw the monster he figured they would be back at Lady's place in no time.

The beast was huge, bigger even than the shadow giant had been. It looked like a pair of siamese twins that molded into each other at birth, one head had three purple eyes and the other had one green, diamond shaped eye. It wore brown fur shorts over it's blue skin and it was currently advancing towards the Wildberry Kingdom, which looked like a kingdom sized bush sculpture seated in a canyon. From the outside of the kingdom everything looked to be made of green plantlife, like they had hired the best topiarists in the world to make a fancy looking kingdom.

The giant hadn't reached the kingdom yet, they seemed to be having trouble walking through all the vegetation outside of the kingdom. Finn and Jake watched as it slowly made its way to the kingdom.

"Rawww! We're evil!" said the one eyed head.

"Yeah, we're totally evil!" said the three eyed head.

"We're gonna eat so many Wildberry People!"

"Yeah, so many!"

"... Dude ya gotta stop that."

"Stop what?"

"Repeating everything I say! They already heard me say it, there is no reason for you to repeat what I just said like, two seconds ago."

"Well if you won't let me do that then can we at least do the thing where we each take turns saying a word in a sentence?"

"No, that's stupid! And besides, do you have any idea how difficult that would actually be? We would literally have to rehearse nonstop, otherwise it would just sound ridiculous."

As the two heads argued, Jake stretched himself into the same size as the giant with Finn on his shoulder. Big Jake ran up to the two-headed behemoth and kicked them right in the boingloings.

The giant went down on their knees, holding their junk. "AHHHHH! Our crotch! Our evil crotch!" the two heads shouted in unison, they even started crying.

Once they were down, Finn jumped from Jake's shoulders and landed in between the giants' two heads. They both turned their heads and looked at Finn, only to each receive a flurry of ice ninja stars in their eyes or eye. The giant brought a hand up to each head's eyes or eye and screamed in pain. Jake brought his hand down for Finn to jump on, standing on Jake's open palm Finn looked at the monster sternly and pointed a finger at them.

"You two aren't eating anybody today, or any other day!" Finn shouted. "If I hear you two are causing trouble again, I'll slice you two in half! Might actually be doing you a favor! Understand?!"

The two-headed giant whimpered. "Yes sir." they muttered.

"Good. Now scram!"

The monster got up on shaky legs and walked away, they started sobbing once they thought Finn couldn't hear them, but he could. Jake brought Finn up eye-level to him.

"Noice! Now let's go see if the Wildberry People will reward us with some meat pies!" Jake carried Finn to the Wildberry Kingdom where they were greeted by cheering, sentient berry people. Seeing the Wildberry People for the first time was exciting for Finn, they were various berries of different color and size. They stood in the streets cheering for Finn and Jake, Jake shrunk down in the center of the crowd and set Finn right next to him. Wildberry Princess, flanked by a pair of Berry Guards, walked up to the two saviors.

"Finn the Human and Jake the Dog!" the princess exclaimed in her high pitched voice. "I thank you for saving my kingdom and my people from that dreaded monster!" There were some cheers from the crowd.

"Yeah you two were awesome!"

"Especially you Finn!"

"You guys rule!"

Wildberry Princess raised her hand for silence. "To show our gratitude for your heroic acts, I bestow upon the two of you… twenty five percent off at any fashion boutique in the Wildberry Kingdom!"

"Aw, dangit." Jake muttered.

"Also some meat pies to take home with you."

"Woooo-Hoo!" Jake shouted. "I love ya Wildberry Princess!"

A Wildberry Guard came up and handed Finn and Jake each a bag of meat pies and a gift card. "Finn, look in your bag." Wildberry Princess said. "I left you a little something extra."

Finn looked in the bag curiously, on top of the pie containers sat a pink note. Finn took out the note and read it. It read 'Call me' followed by her number, followed by 'XOXO'. Finn looked at Wildberry Princess, who in return smiled and batted her eyelashes at him.

Finn put the note back and cleared his throat, a light blush formed on his face. "Uhhhh. Thank you princess. I… uh..."

Jake's ringing phone saved him, Jake answered with some meat pie in his mouth. "Hullo oo dis… mmm-hmm… Uh-kay, be dere soon." Jake hung up and gulped down his pie, then ate his other two pies quickly enough to set a record. "Hey man, we got another job. Hot Dog Princess is being attacked by some whywolves, we better hurry, she probably won't last much longer if we don't. Her knights are kinda useless."

"Huh… busy day for monsters." Finn commented. "You think we could at least stop by the treehouse so I can put these pies away?"

"Nope not enough time, so I'll just do this." Jake vacuumed up Finn's pies right out of his hands bag and all. Jake belched and the bag and WP's note flew out of his mouth.

"Ah dude! What the heck!" Finn exclaimed.

"Hey like I said, no time." Jake replied innocently.

"Finn from now on, you get free meat pie whenever you visit the Wildberry Kingdom." Wildberry Princess declared. "You however Jake, now must pay double for meat pies."

"AH WHAT!" Jake cried.

"Triple."

"FINN LET'S GET OUT OF HERE!" Jake quickly grabbed Finn, grew big, and ran out of the kingdom before the price for pie could be raised any higher.

"Hot Dog Princess?" Finn asked as he rode Jake across the Grasslands.

"Yeah, she's one of the lesser princesses of Ooo." Jake explained. "Her 'kingdom' is basically just a doghouse and a fenced yard. Real friendly though, she gets along with just about everybody. She has this group of Hot Dog Knights that are supposed to be her protectors, but in all honesty, BMO could probably take them out without a sweat. So we better hurry, whywolves are as vicious as they are boring. No joke, they're probably giving Hot Dog Princess a well presented powerpoint on how she's gonna be eaten."

"...Oh."

When the two of them arrived, it was exactly as Jake had described it. A small and simple doghouse in the perimeter of a circular wooden fence. A pair of man-sized wolves with midnight black fur stood outside of the doghouse. The wolves weren't attacking though, they both wore well-fitted grey business suits and shades and one of them was knocking on the door.

"Excuse me ma'am, I apologize for dropping in unannounced but my associate and I think you would be very interested to hear what we have to offer." The one knocking at the door said in a formal, businessman voice. A trio of small, hot dog guys wearing armor were attacking the whywolves legs with tiny weapons, but the wolves paid them no attention.

"Help! Somebody Help!" a feminine voice shouted from inside the closed doghouse.

"We think you would just love to hear this. See, my associate and I are going to devour your flesh and chew on your bones and we want to make this as painless for you as possible." the whywolf continued. "Why don't you step outside so we may properly discuss the details of your cooperation?"

"Dear glob, somebody help!"

Finn jumped off of Jake and landed in front of the whywolves and Jake stretched down to Finn's side. "Back off ya filthy animals!" Finn shouted.

"Filthy? Well now that is just rude." said the whywolf. The two wolves then began to shake and their suits and shades disappeared. "Maybe we should just devour you two instead!" the wolf suggested in a more savage voice.

Finn and Jake both rushed a whywolf. Jake morphed his arm into a hammer and beat one wolf into the ground like a nail, leaving the wolf buried neck deep and seeing stars. Finn gave his wolf a flying kick in the face, sending the beast through the fence. The whywolf picked himself up and snarled at Finn, he rushed at the human baring his teeth. The wolf took a swipe at Finn's head but Finn managed to duck and counter with a powerful elbow jab to the ribcage, there was a crunching sound and the wolf let out a howl of pain. Finn finished the whywolf off with an KO uppercut, the beast fell on his back and didn't get back up.

While they were down, Jake picked up the two whywolves and stretched his hand into a big slingshot, which he promptly used to send the beasts flying off into the distance. Once they were gone Jake walked up to the dog house door and knocked. "It's safe to come out now Hot Dog Princess, the whywolves are gone!"

The door opened and a red wiener dog with furry ears and a crown on her head walked out. She looked around before letting out a sigh of relief. "Oh thank goodness, thank you Jake, thank you-" the princess let out a gasp. "Oh my, Finn the Human! I've heard about you, it's an honor to finally meet you!" she exclaimed with a giddy tone.

Finn rubbed the back of his head. "It was nothing, taking down that whywolf was a piece of cake your highness."

"Oh I bet it was, I heard you know how to kick butt like no man's business! Oh I wish I could've seen it."

Jake walked up to Finn. "Okay dude, let's call it a day before we get another-" Jake's phone rang in his tummy. "Oh come, really?" Jake pulled out his phone and answered. "Hello? Uh-huh… uh-huh… okay be right there." Jake hung up. "Man three jobs in a row, I never get this many calls in one day."

"Who was it?" Finn asked.

"Breakfast Princess, she said a dragon was attacking the Breakfast Kingdom. Hope you don't mind the smell of burnt toast." Jake grew big and placed Finn on his back. "Alright let's go."

The Breakfast Kingdom looked like a simple enough kingdom, a large tower made of pancakes and coffee mugs surrounded by an orchard of orange trees sitting in a large crater. A stream of coffee sprayed out of the giant coffee pot that made the top of the tower into a pond of coffee below, the dragon was circling the tower in the air belching fire. Finn expected the dragon to look… well, like a dragon. It looked more like a tan leech with large, pink sacks on the sides of its neck, a tiny pair of wings kept it airborne. Finn and Jake made quick work of the monster when Jake tossed Finn in the air and Finn, with his ice katana, sliced the monster's head clean off. The dead beast and it's head crashed into the ground.

Jake caught Finn in an inflated palm as he fell, once the dog set Finn on the ground in the tower's courtyard Breakfast Princess came out to greet him. BP was accompanied by a small strudel girl in a blue dress with a tiny diamond crown on her head, they were flanked by a pair of maple syrup guards. They all looked like they might have gotten a little singed by the dragon.

Finn raised a hand in greeting. "Hey Breakfast Princess, hope you guys are okay."

BP waved it off. "Oh don't worry Finn, we're all just a little burnt." The strudel girl coughed up some smoke. "This is my sister by the way, Strudel Princess."

Strudel Princess raised a hand. "Hello, my sister has a huge crush on you."

Finn blushed a bit. "So uh, do you guys need any help cleaning up or anything?" he asked politely.

"That's quite alright Finn, aside from a few burns the dragon didn't really do a whole lot of damage." Breakfast Princess said, she then walked up a little closer. "Your welcome to stick around for as long as you like though." BP added batting her eyelashes.

Finn gulped. "Uhhhhh…" Fortunately for Finn, Jake chose that time to join the party. He stretched down into the courtyard, phone to his ear.

"Okay, be right there." Jake said before hanging up, he sounded a bit annoyed. "That was Bubblegum this time, apparently some creepy deer has kidnapped almost all of the Candypeople and it's holding them hostage in the sewers. Geez Finn I might have to stop hanging out with you, I never got this much work in one day before you showed up."

"Well tough luck bro, we got Candies to save." Finn replied with determination.

"Yeah, yeah." Jake inflated himself big enough to ride. "Hop on."

Finn took two steps towards Jake when he heard Breakfast Princess shout, "Hold it!" Finn turned around only to receive a smooch on the cheek from BP. "My way of saying thanks." she said with a smile. "Also my way of saying I'm free whenever you are."

Finn's face reddened. "Uh… uh… uh…"

"No time for your awkwardness Finn." Jake picked the Human up and placed him on his back. "Let's go before I get an angry phone call from PB shouting at me in that weird language I can't understand." with that said, Jake ran off to the Candy Kingdom with Finn on his back.

Breakfast Princess watched as Finn and Jake left, she let out a sigh. Strudel Princess started giggling at her sister, earning her a glare. "You be quiet."

After Finn and Jake crawled into the Candy Kingdom sewers, beat up a buck, and freed the kidnapped Candyfolk from a sticky prison, Finn and Jake crawled out of the sewers with the poor sticky Candypeople in tow.

Bubblegum and the Candies who didn't get kidnapped were there to greet them. "Thank you Finn and Jake, I'm sorry I had to call on such short notice but I was afraid of what would happen if I sent any Banana Guards down there to save them." BP said.

"Don't worry Peebles." Finn said between exhausted pants of breath. "Happy to help."

Bubblegum tilted her head. "You two look exhausted, that buck must have really put up a fight."

Jake waved his hand. "Nah it's not that, we've just been running all over Ooo doing hero duty right after we scored some loot from a cursed dungeon." the dog pointed a thumb at Finn. "This donk's got me running all over the place."

"Well well, it seems your reputation is spreading quite rapidly Finn." Princess Bubblegum commented. "The denizens of Ooo know you've partnered up with Jake, so the people are evidently more eager to call on him for help."

Finn's exhaustion seemed to disappear and was replaced by excitement and wonder. "Today was awesome PB! We fought monsters and shadow demons, we saved the lives of three princesses, we scored a butt-load of underground booty, it was awesome!" Finn exclaimed. "I have never felt so alive in my life!"

Bubblegum chuckled at the boy's enthusiasm. "Glad to hear you're enjoying yourself Finn, you're gonna have one heck of a story to tell when you get back to your island."

"Speaking of which, how's that project coming along?" Finn asked.

"It's slow going I'm afraid." PB responded. "It's incredibly difficult to lock on to a signal with your island being so far away. Don't worry I'll get a communication link up and ready, it just won't be complete for a while is all."

Finn's excitement died down and he looked at the ground at bit crestfallen. "Oh."

Bubblegum looked like she was about to add something else to comfort Finn, but a chocolate malt ball with a big mustache and a blue hat walked up to Finn. "Excuse me good sir." the candy said. "I'm Starchy the Gravedigger, host of the late night, radio talk show The Graveyard Shift." Starchy took off his hat and held it against his chest. "It would be an absolute honor if I could get an interview with you at tonight's broadcast, whaddya say Mr. Finn?"

The idea of being on a radio talk show sounded kinda fun to Finn, so he gave the malt ball a smile. "I would love to."

"Hot dog! Be at the radio station at nine o'clock sharp Mr. Finn, you won't regret it!"

(Later that night… nine o'clock to be exact)

"Good evening ladies and gentlemen and thank you once again for tuning in for The Graveyard Shift. As always I'm your host, Starchy the Gravedigger. Tonight's show is brought to you by Laffy Taffy Larry's House of Wonderful Junk. If it's from Laffy Taffy Larry's, it's no joke. Tonight ladies and gentlemen, I have a very special surprise for you all; with me tonight is Ooo's guest of honor, the man who can stop wars as easily as he stops hearts, the brave and bold with stories untold, Finn the Human!"

Starchy pressed a button and a recording of an applauding crowd played into the mike. "Finn I have to say, it's good to have you here with us tonight." Starchy said when the applause died down.

"Well it's good to be here Starchy." Finn replied into the mike.

"Tell us Finn, how long have you been here in Ooo?"

"Oh about a week."

"Well ding dang! Only been a week and you're the most popular guy in Ooo! You oughta pat yourself on the back Finn."

"Hey now, I'm no one special. I'm just a guy, same as any other guy." Finn said.

"Ho-boy, as modest as he is brave folks. Now Finn from what I've heard, you've been a globsend to quite a number of people in Ooo." Starchy commented.

Finn rubbed the back of his head. "Well, I wouldn't say 'globsend'."

"Oh really? Let me just take a look at these here reports." Starchy picked up a pile of papers and placed them on the table. "Now let's see here, well I don't think I need to remind the good people listening in that you stopped a glob darn war between the Candy and Fire Kingdom."

"Well I mean… all I did was talk to the Flame Princess." Finn said.

"That certainly did the trick now didn't it? Next up, it says here you beat up an ogre that was harassing the beloved pie baker Tree Trunks." Starchy continued.

"Oh yeah, Donny the Grass Ogre. Good guy, just a little rough around the edges."

"Well good to hear you pounded those edges smooth. Next up, oh this is a good one, you saved the Wildberry Kingdom from a two headed giant. Sent him running away crying from what the report says."

"Jake was the one who kicked him in the groin."

"Oooo, that would definitely make me cry. Now let's see here, it says you rescued six princesses from the Ice King and have been learning some ice magic of your own ever since."

"Fridjitzu yes, ice ninja stuff. I've been getting pretty good at it." replied Finn.

"Yeah I'll bet, it also says here you took down a whywolf that was bent on eating Hot Dog Princess and you sliced off the head of a dragon that was attacking the Breakfast Kingdom." Starchy stated.

"That is correct."

"And in more recent events, you and Jake the Dog saved nearly the entire Candy Kingdom populace from a sadistic, sap-tongued stag."

"Oh yeah, that was gross, sent the dang deer down the drain though."

"Well good riddance." Starchy folded his hands together. "Now Finn, you have done quite a few incredible things for the people of Ooo in the short amount of time you've been here. So far from home, yet you aid these lands as if they were your home. Anything to say to the audience my good man?" Starchy asked.

Finn didn't respond right away, he gave it some thought first. "Well." he finally said. "I guess 'thank you' is all I all really have to say."

Starchy eyes widened. "Thank you?! It seems ya got it backwards Mr. Finn, it's everyone else should be thanking you."

"Hold on, let me explain." Finn said. "I have quite a few people to say thank you to…"

(LSP's campsite)

LSP was listening in on a little portable radio as she laid down in her sleeping bag.

"I wanna say thank you to Lumpy Space Princess, for being the first friend I made in Ooo."

"Oh my glob, Finn." LSP said, sounding touched.

(Marceline's house)

Marcy was sitting on her bed tuning her bass and listening to the radio.

"I wanna thank Marceline the Vampire Queen for being so cool to me and even giving me a place to stay."

Marcy smiled. "Awwwww."

(Bubblegum's lab)

PB was installing some wiring in a telecommunication device, she had the radio on and tuned into The Graveyard Shift as she worked.

"I wanna thank Princess Bubblegum for her kindness, and for helping me find a way to contact my home."

PB looked at the radio and smiled.

"Oh Finn."

Sparks flew out of the device she was working on.

"Oh dang it!"

(The Fire Castle's study)

Cinnamon Bun, Flame Princess and her two little brothers were playing a board game on the floor while listening to The Graveyard Shift.

"I wanna thank Flame Princess for hearing me out and giving me a chance… and Cinnamon Bun for stopping her from incinerating me on the spot."

CB and Flame Princess smiled at the radio.

"I'm really glad I didn't kill him." FP stated.

"Yeah, me too." said CB.

"It's too bad Flint is probably gonna kill him at the Fire Festival." FP's little brother Randy commented.

Flame Princess frowned in worry.

(Ice King's depressing bachelor pad)

IK was sitting on his throne with Gunter on his lap listening to the radio.

"I wanna thank Ice King for giving me his book of fridjitzu."

"Oh goody, I was afraid he was gonna skip me."

"Wenk."

(Tree Trunk and Mr. Pig's house)

Tree Trunks and her husband sat at the kitchen table and listened in on the radio.

"I wanna thank Tree Trunks for baking me some apple pie when I was feeling hopeless."

Tree Trunks smiled. "Oh what a nice young man that Finn is."

(Lady Rainicorn's place)

Jake and Lady were snuggled by the fire, Jake made sure to tune in to The Graveyard Shift to listen to what Finn would say.

"And I especially wanna thank Jake the Dog for everything he's done for me. He's been the best friend I've ever had, in Ooo or back home. When Jake invited me to his home to eat with his family, it gave me a sense of belonging in this foriegn world, made me feel like I wasn't really alone. He's had my back for nearly the entire time I've been in Ooo, him just being there for me has given me the strength to press on. Just about everybody I've met in Ooo has been exceedingly kind to me but I'll never be able to repay the kindness that Jake has shown me. If you're listening to this Jake… thanks man… for everything.'

Jake sniffed. "I'm not gonna cry, I'm not gonna cry." he sounded like he was about to cry though.

Lady gave Jake a kiss on the forehead. "Gwaenchanh-a nae salang ul-eodo dwae."

(Back at the radio station)

"Back on the island… life is simple." Finn continued. "No kingdoms, no adventures, few parties, we do more surviving than living..."

(Back at LSP's campsite)

"Oh my glob! He so stole that from me! I'm calling my lumpin' lawyer!"

"… as LSP once commented."

"Oh okay that's better. Good thing too, 'cause I ain't got no lawyer."

(Okay back to the radio station, sorry about that)

"But here in Ooo… it's fantastic, a world worth protecting even if it isn't my world. I could get all poetic about it, but I would be here all night. I know I'm still a stranger to these lands, but I promise I'll do whatever I can to repay the kindness you've all shown me. And besides, I'm a Helper. It's just what I do, simple as that."

Starchy stared at Finn for a bit, then cleared his throat and spoke back into the mike. "Well Finn, that was quite the speech you gave. I think I speak for everybody listening in that you are more than welcome in our wonderful land of Ooo. Keep up the good work Finn, we're all rootin' for ya!"

"Thank you Starchy."

"Heh heh, one more 'thank you' to knock out of the way huh? Ladies and Gentlemen, this has been Finn the Helping Human of Ooo live on The Graveyard Shift. Now a word from our sponsor. Are you tired of the same boring action at home? Then come on down to Laffy Taffy Larry's House of Wonderful Junk! Grab my junk, bring it home, and go to town with… oh dang… saying it out loud like that, I may need to consider cutting Laffy Taffy Larry from the sponsor list. Anyways, good night everyone and tune in tomorrow night for The Graveyard Shift. I'm your host, Starchy the Gravedigger signing off.

When he returned to the treehouse, Finn had taken three steps inside when BMO came sliding down the ladder and running up to Finn. "Finn! I heard you on the radio! What you said was beautiful!" BMO then pointed an accusing finger at Finn. "But I am mad at you."

Finn tilted his head. "Aw dang, what for little guy?"

"You included the stinking Ice King but you did not mention me at all in your thank you speech!" digital tears fell from BMO's eyes. "I am hurt inside."

Finn smiled and picked BMO up, he cradled the little robot in his arms. "BMO, it should go without saying that I am very thankful that I have you to keep me company." Finn gave BMO a kiss on his screen and the robot smiled and blushed.

"Do you really mean it Finn?"

"Absolutely." Finn said before setting BMO down.

BMO looked up at Finn. "Okay. Now that we have shared this tender moment, I can now tell you that I broke the mirror in the bathroom."

"What?! BMO!"

"Football won't leave me alone!" BMO cried. "I can't get rid of him!"

Finn let out a sigh, 'I wonder if robots can receive therapy, I should ask PB if she can help.' "It's fine BMO, I'm just gonna kick it for tonight. Today was a busy day."

BMO gestured to all the loot surrounding them. "A busy day is a productive day."

Finn chuckled. "Yeah, guess your right."

"Would you like to play some video games before you go to bed?" BMO asked.

Finn yawned. "No thanks BMO, I'm gonna just go to bed."

BMO frowned and his lip began to quiver. "But you haven't played with me for so long, you keep reading that book the stinking Ice King gave you."

Finn sighed. "Okay fine but just for a little while, go upstairs and pick a game for me."

"Hooray!" BMO exclaimed before hurrying upstairs.

Finn smiled, he was about to follow BMO upstairs when he heard a knock on the door. Finn turned around and looked at the door curiously. "Who could that be?" Finn wondered out loud, he walked to the door and grabbed the handle. 'Is it just me or did it just get a little warmer in here?' Finn opened the door.

And saw Flame Princess standing in front of him, she had her hand raised for another knock but when she saw Finn she put her hand down. "Finn, hey!" she greeted.

Finn blinked in surprise, Flame Princess was one of the last people he would have expected to come knocking on his door. She didn't have any armor on like last time, instead she wore a beautiful red hot, sleeveless dress. A ruby decorated the chest area of the dress that matched the red diamond in her forehead. Finn had to remind himself to breathe, she looked stunning.

Finn felt his heart start back up. "Uh, hey Flame Princess! I wasn't expecting to get a late night visit from you."

"Oh if this is a bad time then I can just-"

"Oh no! No no no! Please come in." Finn responded a bit awkwardly, he stepped aside to let FP in.

"Thank you." Flame Princess said as she stepped inside. "I'll try to be careful, you live in a treehouse and I'm literally made of fire." FP lifted her dress up a bit to reveal her tinfoil boots. "I've got these though, so I'm good with standing."

Finn closed the door. "So what brings you to my humble home away from home your highness?" he asked.

"Well first off, call me Phoebe." she responded with a smile, making Finn blush a bit. "Second… well." Phoebe brought her hands together and tapped her thumbs against each other anxiously, she was blushing a bit now. "After I heard you talk on the radio… I thought… you know… maybe I could go and pay him a visit and see how he's holding up."

'Breathe damn you, breathe.' "Th-that's… very thoughtful of you, thanks."

Flame Princess looked around at all the treasure. "Seems like you're doing pretty good here though, where'd you get all this?"

"Dungeon crawl, battled a bunch of shadow monsters, nearly died, beheaded a mummy. You know, a day just like any other." Finn responded.

FP snorted with laughter. "Oh glob."

Finn joined in on the laughter. "You're telling me."

The two of them laughed together for a bit, Finn thought she had a really cute laugh. When they got their laughs out they looked at each other and smiled.

Flame Princess looked off to the side and rubbed her arm. "Listen Finn… I also came here to tell you that, if you don't want to go, then I can just take your name off the guest list for the Fire Festival."

Finn was a bit disheartened at that. "Oh. Well if you don't want me to come then I don't want to be a burden."

"No no no that's not what I meant!" Phoebe shouted, waving her hands in front of her. "I just meant that… well as the invite Cinnamon Bun sent you may have said, just about everybody in my family and all the other officials… really do not like you."

Finn nodded. "Yeah, CB mentioned that in the letter."

"I just don't want you to feel like you have no choice but to go, if you feel like it would be safer to just not go then I understand." FP's tone suggested she wanted Finn to be there though.

Finn looked at Flame Princess for a while, then smiled. "That's really considerate of you Phoebe, but I think I'm still gonna go to the Fire Festival. It sounds like it'll be fun, despite the fact that everybody who works for you wants me dead."

Joy shone in Phoebe's eyes, as well as a touch of worry. "Okay, then I guess I'll see you at the festival."

"Yup." Finn answered.

"You know what time you have to be there?"

"Four days, few hours before sundown."

"You still have the necklaces I gave you?"

"Of course."

"I'll make sure Flint and the rest of my subordinates and family understand that no harm is to befall you during your time in the Fire Kingdom."

"Most appreciated."

Flame Princess smiled, she then looked to the ground in thought. FP met Finn's gaze. "I thought what you said on the radio was beautiful Finn, Ooo really got to know the real you. And I think I-they like you." The fiery royal's cheeks reddened a bit at her slip up.

Finn blushed a bit as well. "I… I'm glad to hear it."

Phoebe opened her mouth to say more but changed her mind before any words could come out, she then walked to the door and opened it.

The princess turned her head to Finn and smiled. "See you at the Festival Finn." she said before she firebolted away.

Finn walked up to the open door and watched as Phoebe's fire faded off into the distance, 'Damn.' he thought before closing the door.

Finn turned around to go upstairs, only to find BMO standing in front of him looking a bit ticked. He had his arms crossed and his foot tapping. "You chose to chat with a pretty girl instead of playing video games by yourself, pitiful."

Finn rolled his eyes, to make it up to BMO he spent the night playing video games until he passed out on the couch. He dreamt he was on fire.

Okay there we go, hope you guys liked this chapter. The Fire Festival doesn't happen in the next chapter, I decided to have a little fun with the next chapter and let Ice King have the stoplight.

Till next time!
