Night Light
This is the first document that I have posted on this website. I wrote it a
while ago based on what I had just read in my Bible, "The people who walked
in darkness have seen a great light" Matthew 4:6
Lying awake in the dark,
So scared of the unknown,
This emptyness is stark,
Unsure and so alone.
-
Crying out for something more,
A vision in the night,
Longing for something to live for,
A beautiful shining light.
-
Over the course of the hours,
A host of angels there,
With love and faith their powers,
Beauty and grace; so fair.

And now in my room,
Lays a lasting glow,
Ever out-shining the gloom,
A constant thing to show.

The saviour's love for me,
Lights up the ink black sky,
For everyone to see,
The end is never nigh.
I would really appreciate some feedback for this, particularly on my
spelling and my style of writing. Do people think that stanza four sounds
wrong (I have changed it slightly, does it sound any better)? Let me know, but only constructive criticism please. Ta very much :)
