Hi everyone! This is my first story…. I hope it's ok. As the description says, it's Sokeefe, but it might take time to build up. I will try to post a new chapter as soon as possible. Happy reading and stay safe!
What if…Fitz hadn't let Alvar go/The warden had worked.
Warning! This is only if you have read Flashback of the Keeper series
Disclaimer: I do not own Keeper of the Lost cities, that honour belongs solely to Shannon Messenger :)
I am starting this when Sophie and her friends go to the Celestial festival and split up.
Sophie POV
"Hurry up!" Sophie told her group as they tramped through the crowd on their way to go back to the picnic mat. She felt something drop, but was too anxious to worry about it. Fitz had just told her about Alvar's suspicious nighttime wandering, and she had just barely convinced him to wait for her.
Her. Sophie was still processing the term. She knew how Fitz felt about …..them….but she was still new to this whole matchmaking thing.
As the picnic mat came into sight, Sophie could see the other group, more importantly Fitz's group waiting for them. He was nervously, no, agitatedly pacing around with Dex, Linh and Biana standing off to one side, looking unsure of what to do.
As soon as he saw them, Fitz rushed over, dragging Dex over by one hand.
"Look!" he practically yelled.
The green dot that signified Alvar was moving around was approaching ominously near the emergency override. It moved closer, closer, until he was nearly there.
"Press it!" Fitz demanded. Dex shakily looked at all of their friends in turn, begging them to help him before slowly pressing the button. The screen glowed green and the dot disappeared.
"Was that supposed to happen?" Fitz demanded again.
"Y-yes" Dex stammered, and even Sophie was a bit shaken. Fitz had just hurt his brother. It took a new kind of bravery to do that.
Suddenly, the bracelet on Dex's wrist started glowing again, but this time there was no green light. All it said were two words: User Terminated.
