Hi everyone! This is the second chapter, and I hope you guys don't hate me for the horrible ending to the last chapter. *cringes. Most of my chapters will probably be short, because I am very busy with school and activities, etc. Anyway, I hope this chapter will be better! :)
Sophie's POV
"What does that mean?" Fitz shouted at Dex, who was staring, puzzled, at the Warden.
"I don't know….."
"Well then, don't you think we should, I dunno, GO THERE AND CHECK?" Fitz yelled.
Sophie took a deep breath and told Fitz: "Why don't we wait a little while and check if it does anything else, then we can go to Everglen."
Fitz looked ready to explode with anger and frustration, so Keefe (lol!) stepped up, saying "Woah! Those are some pretty intense emotions I'm feeling."
Sophie took the hint and transmitted: I know you're angry about Alvar, and I don't blame you, but please wait. For me.
Fitz sighed and looked at Sophie. He debated for what seemed like an eternity, then said "Fine. I'll wait."
His perfect teal eyes glanced at her again, and he transmitted; But only for you.
Sophie didn't know what to do with that information, so she tried to convey her gratitude in her eyes.
"Umm…there's a lot of Fitzphie eye staring going on. Care to fill us in?" Keefe tried to hide behind his joke, but Sophie could see he was a little hurt for some reason. She wondered what that meant…nope, she would put that in her mental box of things to deal with later.
They all agreed to wait for five minutes, and by the end of it, Fitz was pacing around again. Finally, when Sandor declared that the time was up, Fitz held up his home crystal and lightning speed. Sophie tried not to notice how Fitz held her hand as they stepped into the light and how Keefe stared at their joint hands like it was a gorgodon.
Okay... So I know that not a lot of stuff happened in this chapter, and it was really short, but it was necessary to build the plot. (Sorry!)
