Hi! Thanks to those who reviewed, I hope you enjoy this chapter too!

SOKEEFE FOREVER: Thanks so much! I'm really glad you enjoyed the first few chapters of my story. :)

Someone: That's fine! I'm just happy that you liked it. :)

Sophie's POV (Ok, I know that it has just been her POV for a while now but in the next chapter I'm planning to have Keefe's and Fitz's as well.)

As they reformed at Everglen, there was a collective intake of breath. Alvar was being held at melder's point (gunpoint sounds better though..) by Gethen. The Warden had been yanked off Alvar's leg and was lying on the ground. Fitz glared at Sophie, and she shrunk back into Keefe's arms.

She knew what he had been thinking without needing to enter his mind. They should have never waited for the other group.

Keefe whispered something in her ear: "I'll deal with the Fitzter, don't worry. Right now, we need to deal with them".

Just then, Sophie realised that Keefe must be feeling a million times more hate or pain than she was, knowing that Lady Gisela might have planned this. She went closer to him and squeezed his hand.

"It's okay, Keefe."

"I know, I'm fine".

She highly doubted that Keefe was fine, as his hands were shaking, either with horror or disgust.

Gethen finally opened his mouth to speak.

"The moonlark is still relying on her friends to keep her safe, I see. When will you learn that you're better off alone?"

"Strange words coming from a member of the Neverseen." Sophie was proud of her voice for not shaking.

"Ah, but we do not rely on each other to survive. How many times would you be dead if not for your friends? Anyway, let's get back to business. As you might be able to tell, we have your little friend here-"

"He's not our friend." Fitz spat.

"Fine, your acquaintance is in a little bit of a problem."

"What do you want?" Surprisingly, this sentence came from Keefe, who was glaring daggers at the shadows, at what appeared to be nothing.

"Ah, you have sensitive eyes, I wasn't sure you would notice." Gethen looked surprised.

"Now that you mention it, I see it too." Tam nodded his head.

He narrowed his eyes and moved his hands in an opening motion. The shadows moved away to reveal….

Okay, I know that was a wicked cliffhanger, but it will be worth it, I promise! Once again, Thanks to those who reviewed! Stay safe and keep reading :)
