Hi! I'm back! I did my jab, thanks so much to KOTLCfan49, your advice really helped! I'm so sorry f this is another kinda short chapter, but I put it together right after I finished a hike, and I still have homework to finish. sighs*. I've decided that my next story will be a KOTLC react, but I have no idea what ships to put, except SOKEEFE OF COURSE. :). Also, I would like to give a special shoutout to Sokeefe4Evar (Did I get your name right? ) for always mentioning me. Your stories are great! Also to KOTLCfan49 and Luna2023, thanks for following me! I can't believe that I've gotten over 400 views! Enjoy the chapter! This chapter will be a bunch of Fitz's POV and Sophie's, but in the next chapter I might put in the less important characters as well. This chapter might be a bit boring, because it's mostly a jumble of thoughts, BUT the next chapter will be really exciting….. No spoilers, but Little Miss Obliviousness will finally realise something…
KOTLCfan49: Thanks so much for ur.. Support? Idk XD. I tried to do as you said, and ur right! It barely hurt. I was definitely sore for a day though. :)
sniel-isabella: That's a great idea! How can I help?

The last thing I remembered seeing were Sophie's terrified eyes as I fell to the ground. After that there was pain. So. Much. Pain. I knew Keefe teased Sophie about almost dying, but now I finally understood how she felt.
It was like I was being stabbed with a million shards of glass, tearing down my mental barriers and extracting my worst nightmares. It was even worse with my echo, putting my heart into so much pain I nearly couldn't breathe. I only remember flashes of what happened next.
Gethen, leering above me. A bright flash of light.. Cracks in the ground. The Neverseen and Black Swan fighting. Warm arms embracing me. A flash of light as someone must have light leaped me somewhere. Frantic running…. To where? The last thing I remember thinking before I slipped away, was Sophie.. Then the darkness pierced through.

Fitz's POV (This was kinda hard to write for some reason. I guess i'm not used to just writing about thoughts…does that make sense?)
I woke up to light. So. Much. Light. It was choking me, blinding me, drowning me, until someone poured something down my throat. Then there was relief. I wanted to stay in that safe corner in my mind forever, but I knew I had to face reality. I tried to pull myself back, but I wasn't strong enough. I felt myself slipping away….until a trail lit up inside my mind. I followed it until it ended. There, I could finally pull myself away from that fuzzy space and face the real world.

Sophie's POV
Although Fitz said he was fine, I didn't believe him. He was still with Elwin, who was running more tests on him with Tam to make sure the melder didn't do anything to his echo. After I woke him up this morning, I was drained, so I left the Healing Center to go back to Havenfield. The Collective and the dwarves had somehow gotten away after capturing Vespera and Gethen without any injuries. Lady Gisela had escaped using a blue crystal, which meant she had a hideout in the Forbidden Cities.
I thought about how Keefe had reacted after we realised what had happened. He hadn't done..anything. He had just looked empty. I would never forget that sad mix of desperation, anger, and concern on his face, which was quickly replaced by a half-hearted smile. My heart ached for him. His whole life had just been one let down after another. Just before Lady Gisela had fled, she had slipped me a note. On it were a time and place to meet. Bring Keefe, it said. (Ok, I know it isn't very clear where she is right now, so to clarify, Sophie's in her bedroom at Havenfield.) I stepped out of my huge room, and hit a wall of goblin muscle.
"Sandor!" I groaned. Could I go anywhere without him?
"I go where you go." He said firmly.
"Fine" I knew there was no use arguing, so I stomped down the stairs to the living room and out the door, with him close behind.
Grady and Edaline were busy taming Verdi, so I slipped out of the Cliffside gate and stood facing the sea.
Sandor said, "Whatever you think you're doing. I highly suggest you go back now."
"I have to do this." Keefe and I were going to meet up at "The Waves of Wimpiness" (I LOVE that name.), and teleport to Venice, Italy, where Lady Gisela had told us to go. I took a deep breath and stepped forwards. This could be our big chance at catching her.
I feinted right and dove off the cliff to evade Sandor, and slipped into the void.
That's it! I'm sure you're thinking that I wouldn't have another cliffhanger, but I have to keep you guys on your toes! Winks as the readers glare* I'm sure you're all tired of me saying this by now, but thank you, thank you, for reviewing! I probably would have given up a logn time ago if not for the reviews. I might write another chapter tomorrow, depending on if I get reviews, and I'll probably start my new story after I finish this one. Stay safe and keep reading! Also review :)
