Hi everyone! I finished quarantine…and my school just reopened… :( I hope you guys enjoy this chapter! I'm sorry about the length, but I was running short on time and wanted to write another chapter for you guys ;). Also, I'm gonna update KOTLC React (Harry Potter!) soon, so keep a lookout for updates on that. We're getting close to the halfway point of the story, but I plan on having around twenty to thirty chapters…..Let's see if I finish.
Luna2023: Thanks! I might add another one after the next few chapters :).
Me284: Thanks so much! It's great that you enjoyed my story, I hope you'll like this chapter as much as the last ones.

I was stuck in an impossible decision.
On one hand, I didn't want Fitz to join the Neverseen, but the consequences of not transmitting to him could be even worse. I know Keefe told me to do it, but still…..
Fitz? FITZ!
Sophie? Sophie? What happened? Everyone's looking for you.
I need you to come here. The Neverseen captured Keefe and I had to go and save him.
I knew it had something to do with Keefe.
What doesn that mean?
Alright, I'll come, but let me get Biana and the others.
NO! Come alone. The Neverseen have told me to contact you, and if you don't come, I'm sure people will get hurt. They have Ro, and I'm pretty sure they also have the Collective.
What? How?
No time to explain. Time's running out. You HAVE to come.
"Hurry up," The voice said, "We have a schedule to keep."
Keefe squeezed my hand and sent a blue breeze to clear my mind. I glanced at him gratefully and tried to listen to what Fitz was transmitting.
Sophie? Are you still there?
Yeah. The voice just told me to tell you how to get here.
Voice? What voice?
I told you, I'll tell you later. Go to Atlantis, next to the statue of Linh, Keefe and me. They'll get you from there.
I could tell he was battling many thoughts, but in the end, he transmitted that he would get there right away.
"Done. He's going there right now." I said flatly.
"Good. We'll get back to you with more tomorrow." the voice said, and disconnected.
There were a few moments of silence, and then I said "What do you think they'll do to Fitz?".
Instead of the reassurance that I knew would never come, Keefe said "I don't know.".
We sat there, never really sleeping because of the hard, uncomfortable floor, staring at the walls, always wondering what would happen.

Sophie's POV
We waited for an eternity, the silence only ever interrupted by the occasional movement by Keefe or I, so when Lady Gisela's familiar voice blared out, I jumped to my feet.
"Missed me?" she said.
I shuddered at how similar her voice was to Keefe's. I glanced next to me, and found he was in the same position I was, standing up.
"Good job obeying my orders so far," she said.
"I thought your creepy friend was the one behind the operation," Keefe said.
"Trying to trick information out of me? Funny how you're still trying to do that." Lady Gisela said.
"Just get to the point." Keefe snapped.
"Fine, Fine. Well you see, there were a few….problems regarding the Vacker boy. Believe it or not, he refused to join us!" she said.
"Wow, never guessed that would happen,"I told Lady Gisela, voice dripping with sarcasm.
"I know, right?" she either didn't care or didn't realise.
She didn't speak for a few moments more, but just when I thought she had left, she said " Anyway, please tell the Vacker boy to cooperate, or there will be consequences.".
Even though I hated being the puppet she was playing on a string, I transmitted to Fitz.
Fitz? You have to listen to them. Something bad's gonna happen if you don't.
Sophie? WHAT? No! These are the people who killed Kenric and Forkle, Sophie, you really think I'll just give up and join them?
Please. I really think something bad's gonna happen.
No. That's all I'll say, so don't bother changing my mind.
I frowned, and tugged out an eyelash.
Keefe reached forwards, smoothed out the wrinkle between my brow, and said "What's wrong, Foster? Don't say nothing. I'm an Empath, remember?".
"Yeah…..Fitz…isn't listening."
"That's unfortunate." Lady Gisela said.
I had forgotten she was there, but when I remembered what she had said about consequences, a fresh wave of dread washed over me.
"As I said before, there will be consequences. Let this be a lesson to the Vacker boy not to defy us." with that bombshell, she disconnected, and Keefe and I were left to our vivid imaginations.

A thump interrupted my dream-like daze. It was followed by another, and another.
"What was that?" I asked Keefe.
He frowned in puzzlement. "I don't know."
The thumps kept getting louder, until they weren't really thumps anymore, only loud clangs.
Suddenly, the wall to the right of us collapsed, and the smoke cleared away to reveal….
A man with an azure eye and an eyepatch, dressed in black leather, who looked like he had come straight out of a human rock concert, and a red haired girl with aqua eyes who was dressed like a forest nymph.
"Come on. We have to go. Our comrades cannot battle the Neverseen for long." the girl said. She looked about fifteen and had a dream-like voice, her accent was strangely not like the elves' accent. I got a funny feeling that she didn't belong here. But then again, no one did. (And yes, for those of you wondering, I did base her off Luna Lovegood. Shoutout to all my fellow Luna fans out there!)
"Excuse me? You just expect us to follow you like that without any sort of introduction?" Keefe asked.
"I'm Damon. And this is Brenne. That's all the introduction you'll need. If you want to get out alive, you'll follow us." The man's hoarse voice was unmistakably American, and I could hear his Southern drawl when he spoke the Enlightened Language.
But if they were human what were they doing in the Lost Cities? Were they the Triumvate? If so, why were they helping us? I shoved that to one side of my mind, and instead focused on present matters.
"Fine. Let's go." I said.
We'll figure out what to do later. I transmitted to Keefe.
I could tell he still didn't want to leave with them, but he listened anyway.
I could tell Brenne, the girl, was pleased with my decision, but the Damon remained unreadable as ever.
As we left the bare white room where we had been held captive, even though I didn't know where we were going, I sensed that we had made the right decision.
Okay, that was it! From now on, I'll either update once a week or once in two weeks, but the chapters will be longer. Also, if you were wondering, the reason Sophie and Keefe could survive for a day or two without anything to sustain them is because the Neverseen provided them with meagre portions of food and water. I didn't include that in the story because I felt it would be too boring, but anyway, hope you enjoyed!
Stay safe, happy, and keep reading!
