Hi! It's been a while since I last updated, so this chapter is quite long and in this chapter there are SO many surprises and revelations! This story is progressing really fast, I'm probably going to starta new story after this one, but for my other story, KOTLC React, it's ongoing, so there isn't exactly a "ending", I'll always be open to suggestions for that one.
Luna2023: awww thanks so much! I'm so happy you enjoyed it! You always bring me so much happiness and joy when you review and let me know how you feel :) Now that you know about how I made the names, you can try it too XD!

A thump interrupted my dream-like daze. It was followed by another, and another.
"What was that?" I asked Keefe.
He frowned in puzzlement. "I don't know."
The thumps kept getting louder, until they weren't really thumps anymore, only loud clangs.
Suddenly, the wall to the right of us collapsed, and the smoke cleared away to reveal….
A man with an azure eye and an eyepatch, dressed in black leather, who looked like he had come straight out of a human rock concert, and a red haired girl with aqua eyes who was dressed like a forest nymph.
"Come on. We have to go. Our comrades cannot battle the Neverseen for long." the girl said. She looked about fifteen and had a dream-like voice, her accent was strangely not like the elves' accent. I got a funny feeling that she didn't belong here. But then again, no one did. (And yes, for those of you wondering, I did base her off Luna Lovegood. Shoutout to all my fellow Luna fans out there!)
"Excuse me? You just expect us to follow you like that without any sort of introduction?" Keefe asked.
"I'm Damon. And this is Brenne. That's all the introduction you'll need. If you want to get out alive, you'll follow us." The man's hoarse voice was unmistakably American, and I could hear his Southern drawl when he spoke the Enlightened Language.
But if they were human what were they doing in the Lost Cities? Were they the Triumvate? If so, why were they helping us? I shoved that to one side of my mind, and instead focused on present matters.
"Fine. Let's go." I said.
We'll figure out what to do later. I transmitted to Keefe.
I could tell he still didn't want to leave with them, but he listened anyway.
I could tell Brenne, the girl, was pleased with my decision, but Damon remained unreadable as ever.
As we left the bare white room where we had been held captive, even though I didn't know where we were going, I sensed that we had made the right decision.

Biana's POV
"Where are they?" I groaned, frustrated.
Keefe and Sophie had been missing for 3 days now, and we still had no clue as to where to find them. Sandor had checked their trackers so many times i had lost count, and now FITZ was missing? Could this week get any worse?
We had gathered at Havenfield that morning with everyone who was involved, mainly my family, Grady and Edaline, and everyone else. Dex, Linh, Tam, Marella, Wylie, Maruca and I were trying to brainstorm ideas to find them, but we were starting to get really frustrated.
"This is impossible." Maruca whined, falling back with a thump onto the warm grass.
"Yeah, we've gone through every idea that pops into our minds, and we STILL can't find them." Dex agreed.
Suddenly, I had a thought. Would it work? There was only one way to find out….
"Guys, I have an idea." I announced.
The others perked up.
"What is it?" Marella asked. "Spit it out, cuz I'm bored of sitting around and doing nothing."
"Well….." I explained my plan, and everyone agreed it was the best anyone had had so far.
"So should we try it?" I nervously asked.
"Might as well." Wylie said.
My plan was to get Tam to try and sense the others through their shadowvapour, but I had no idea if it was gonna work.
Tam spread out his hands in an opening motion, and as we held our breath, I prayed it would work. I needed my best friend back.
Keefe's POV
"Soooooo where are we going?" I whispered.
"Be quiet, the Neverseen can hear us" Damon growled.
"We're going to our headquarters. We'll explain everything there. Thanks for trusting us." Brenne replied.
"No problem, but-" Sophie stumbled, and I caught her by her elbows. After I helped her regain her balance, I thought I saw a flush bloom across her cheeks, but it was probably just wishful thinking.
"But will we get to see our friends?" Sophie asked.
"We'll leave that up to you. Now be quiet!" Damon whisper-yelled.
We continued walking down the long passageway from where the two Triumvate members had appeared, away from our cell, upwards. Did that mean we were underground? Flashbacks to when I had been captured confirmed it.
When we had nearly reached the end of the passageway, I finally mustered up the courage to speak.
"How about Ro?" I asked.
"Who?" Brenne questioned.
"His Ogre bodyguard. We can't leave without her." Sophie said.
"There can be arrangements for a second team to extract her." Brenne replied.
"Bu-" Sophie protested.
"NO." Damon interrupted. "Our members are few, and whomever we have are invaluable to us. We cannot risk it."
Sophie and I could tell there was no arguing with him. Not like the Black Swan.
We reached the end of the hallway, and what I saw astounded me. Lush valleys of green, blue, red, yellow and purple rolled out in every direction, seemingly without a way out.
Then I heard it. A thump behind us.
"Guys. We have to go." I warned.
"He's right. Danger approaches." Damon agreed."Brenne, you know what to do."
She took a deep breath in and out and nodded. Brenne raised her hands in an upwards motion, and all four of us flew into the air.
I clutched Sophie, and she held onto me tight as we travelled faster and faster. But not fast enough. A shape appeared in the hole that we had emerged from, and I saw that it vaguely resembled my mom. Another figure appeared beside her, but this one was unfamiliar. I didn't get close enough to see her, but my mom raised a melder, and fired.
I slumped forwards, and Sophie and I had swapped positions. She was the one holding me, as I became paralysed. We speeded up, until the canyons were a dot in the distance. Brenne and Damon who were floating near us set us down about twenty minutes after we started, in a dark forest.
Damon strode briskly until we were in front of a large tree. It's brown leaves and creamy bark were not Pures or wanderlings, so I assumed that this was a "human tree", and we weren't in the Lost Cities. But i reconsidered after Damon uttered something, a password maybe?- and the tree had a door in it. He opened it, and we walked slowly down a dark corridor.
I heard something behind me, and I turned around to see Brenne slumped against the wall.
"She's really tired from using her ability." Damon explained.
Sophie sucked in a breath, and whispered something that sounded like "what?".
"Boy, you carry her." he told me.
I picked her up easily and saw a flare of what looked like jealousy in Sophie's eyes. Could it be? This time I let my mind wander until we stopped.
Damon opened the door to an amazing mix of a lagoon, a meadow and a cave. Glittering jewels hung from the ceiling, and a huge lake shone in the middle, Damon rushed in and shoved us to a comfortable beanbag chair. He then picked up Brenne and lay her gently on a bed-veranda mix.
"Now," he said, "What do you want to know?"
"Everything." Sophie and I answered in unison.
Okay, pretty sure you're all hating me for that cliffhanger, and what you need to know WILL be answered in the next chapter, I promise. I'm really sorry if I don't update till my exams are over, but this time round my exams will be really important, so I'm so sorry! Lastly, KOTLC react will be updated soon, I'll update this in about two and a half weeks in my best guess? Stay safe, happy, and keep reading! (Fun fact: While I was writing that, I accidentally wrote "Keefe" instead of "Keep" XD)
