Author's Note: Sorry that this is a bit late. Lost motivation for this story again for a little while, but now it's finally back and here is part 2 of Beating Robotnik! Here we go!

Episode 12: Beating Robotnik-Part 2.
Last time, the President has ordered an all out attack on Robotnik's Island Base, with Rouge the Bat put in charge of a Special Forces team to sabotage the evil doctor's base from the inside.
Meanwhile, as Sonic continues to try and find the Iron Empire's base, Chris and Tails locate the third Chaos Emerald only to be confronted by Dr. Robotnik and Sonic learns of his friends being in danger and he hurries to save them.
Will our heroes get the Chaos Emerald and find Cream's mother, or will Dr. Robotnik's new robot blow them away and will Julius capture Cream and Cheese?
Everyone in Station Square was going out of their business until a special announcement by the President was seen all over the TV networks across the city, and even other parts of Mobius, including South Island in Green Hills Zone. The people including Danny, who had been left behind and hoping that his friends were okay, and Ferrell, who decided to visit the town, saw what was going on as the President made his announcements.
"My fellow citizens, and people of Mobius. The assault against the headquarters of Dr. Robotnik has begun. Our military forces will press on until Robotnik is no longer a threat to the world. We will not fail. Dr. Robotnik must be stopped now." Just as the President finished his speech, the footage then changes to the fighter jets attacking the evil doctor's base, much to everyone's astonishment.
"Whoa...This will be a heavy-duty fight." Danny murmured in shock.
Ferrell on the other hand, folded to arms to his chest while the other two were placed on his hips, scoffing. "Give me a break. Why wait now of all times? I don't think those guys will get the job done. If anybody's going to stop Dr. Eggman, it's that kid, Sonic."
While most people knew that the Government decided to try to take it into their own hands, they were all foolish to believe that this was the end of Robotnik's evil ways and that only Sonic can keep on stopping the evil scientist.
In the Iron Empire's base under the sea, Julius and his men were also watching the main events and the announcements which only made the twisted, cruel leader to laugh darkly.
"Foolish Government. They think that defeating Ivo Eggman will give them free access to defeat me. They haven't said it yet, but I can hear it in the President's voice. This will only give me another chance in getting what I want. Once I get that girl and her Chao and all of the Chaos Emeralds...the world will be within my grasp." Julius sneered with an evil, dark grin.
He still had to get rid of Sonic, but Julius "Iron" Robotnik was a patient man. Not like his brother Dr. Ivo Robotnik.
Back into the battle between the military and Robotnik's army of robots that was getting more and more intense, with more fighter planes and battleships emerging to join the battle while the robots continue to defend the base, Knuckles was still waiting for his chance as he held onto the missile, deciding to try and infiltrate the base himself and join the battle since he wanted to get some pay back on Robotnik himself.
'If Sonic isn't here soon, guess it'll be my turn to be the hero of the day.' The red echidna thought to himself, and that this could be his chance to get the stolen Chaos Emerald back. It might also help him to get a lead on where the Iron Empire have taken Angel Island and the Master Emerald.
Finally after what seemed like forever, the storage unit opens up and at the signal from the pilots and whatnot, the missile that the Guardian of the Master Emerald was on was launched which allowed Knuckles to be flown into the air. He stood up and sailed his way on the missile, smirking as he laughed and cheered in excitement, flying past the base's missiles. It's been ages since he had this kind of thrill and while he took his job seriously, this sort of thing was actually kind of fun.
Once he was close enough, the red echidna jumped off the missile where it collided with another robot and he punched his namesakes into the fortress tower's walls and then began to climb his way to the secret entrance.
Meanwhile, inside the base, Rouge, Topaz and the Special Forces squad were sneaking their way through to the generator room to begin phase 2 of the mission, when the bat agent/thief noticed something and stopped in shock and surprise.
"Hold it!" She ordered the group of humans to stop, which they did, baffled.
"Why did we stop?" Topaz asked, confused.
"Because we're about to get a visit from Robotnik's welcome wagon." Rouge answered as she sensed and looked up to see something coming towards them from ahead.
True to her word, a large robot suddenly appears, known as the E-12 Behemoth, forcing the group to quickly stand back to avoid in getting hit. It leered at the squad before Rouge decided to take it into her own hands.
"I'll take it!" She declared with determination, not willing to let this get in her way in(secretly) taking the Chaos Emerald or letting the Special Forces fail their mission to plant the explosives to destroy the base.
"Rouge!" Topaz cried out as the albino bat flew off to fight the large robot, not willing to admit that she was worried about her partner's safety.
Back at Tingalin Valley, while Mr. Stewart was still inside his car struggling against the currents from Robotnik's FunFun robot and worrying about Chris and the other children, the group were still struggling against the winds themselves as the situation was increasingly getting more and more hopeless. The X-Cyclone landed roughly onto the ground with Tails now unconscious upon impact, the giant robot takes a step closer to the group and overwhelming them with it's power.
All the while Robotnik was laughing evilly and victoriously, believing that the Chaos Emerald would soon be his and his enemies will be finished.
"We can't stay here!" Francies screamed, and attempted to try and get up, but the winds were just too powerful that it really was like a tornado happening around here.
"Just hang on!" Chris exclaimed.
"Frances, get down now!" Amy shouted, then gasped when the twelve year old human girl was lifted into the air and screamed, about to be blown away before the eleven year old pink hedgehog quickly grabbed her and with a bit of a struggle she successfully pulled one of her new friends back onto the ground and had her lay there. "Stay down and don't try anymore stunts!"
"Sorry!" Francies cried out, deciding that what she did was a bad idea.
Amy then gazed at Chris while exclaiming worriedly. "I hope Tails is alright!"
Inside the X Cyclone, Tails begins to regain consciousness after hitting his head during the impact of the hard landing, only to feel the vibrations of something huge coming towards him. When he looked up, he gasped in horror to see FunFun approach, his heart leaping into his throat and he could barely hear Chris calling out his name in complete worry and horror while the two girls gasped as they saw what was about to happen.
Too late, the giant robot lifted it's foot and began to stomp and crush the two-tailed fox's plane, making the seven year old whimper in fear as he quickly tried to crouch down as much as possible to avoid in getting squashed. He whimpered and began to realize that this was a battle he was going to end up dying in.
"Heh heh heh heh heh! That's right, Funfun. Show that furry wretch who's in charge! Put your foot down!" Robotnik laughed evilly.
At the same time approaching the area and running past Mr. Stewart's car, Sonic came racing as he could see leaves and grass flying everywhere and a giant Fan-shaped robot causing havoc along with the evil scientist hovering above it laughing evilly. The blue hedgehog could make out the X Tornado's surprisingly and very impressive transformation getting crushed and his heart froze, letting out a soft horrified gasp.
'No...! TAILS!' The fourteen year old thought, fearing for his adoptive younger brother's life before narrowing his eyes and sped faster to save him.
Tails in meantime screamed as the pressure was about to make him become squeezed that he began to cry, the realization that he was going to die, Sonic wouldn't make it in time, Robotnik will ending getting the third Chaos Emerald and the failure to stop the evil scientist from getting one again hit him full on, the words of Knuckles' disappointment and anger filled his mind.
'Sonic...!' The guilt-ridden, terrified and upset fox cub thought, squeezing his eyes shut while bracing himself for his resigned fate.
"Ha ha! Ta-ta, Tails! It's crunch time!" Robotnik laughed, only for him to spot someone he hardly expected and gaped in shock.
Sonic, determined to save his friends, stood in front of the surprised Chris, Amy and Francies and surprisingly unaffected by the powerful gusts of winds as the hero of Mobius folded his arms with a smirk, unbeknownst to everyone else that it was to hide the fact that he was furious with the evil scientist for attempting to kill his best friend/little brother and fearing for said two-tailed kit's life and safety. He was also confident that he can save the day again and stood proudly at his enemy.
"Ergh! It can't be!" Robotnik exclaimed in shock, wondering how his young enemy managed to find them and get here so quickly even though he was once again sadly reminded that the blue hedgehog was born with unprecedented speed.
Sonic just chuckled to himself with a grin before he leaped up and immediately tackled FunFun forcefully back, shoving it off of the X Cyclone which saved Tails from getting squashed and causing the giant robot to fall onto it's back right underneath the evil scientist. To make things worse for the mad doctor, since it's fan was still on and no longer blowing at the ground or the group, it blew upwards in a powerful gust and to Robotnik's dismay, it began to blow him away.
"There he goes." Chris remarked as he and the girls stood up as the make-shift tornado was now finally over.
"AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH! Stop it, FunFun! Shut down your motorrrrrrr!" Robotnik screamed as he was blown away, disappearing into the distance of the sky.
"Everybody okay?" Sonic asked as his friends approached him after he landed, and Tails climbed out of the X Cyclone, feeling relieved that they were all safe.
"Sonic!" Tails cried out, leaping into his adoptive older brother's arms and the two immediately embraced. The seven year old was feeling so relieved and glad that his big brother came to the rescue.
"It's gonna be okay, li'l bro. It's okay, it's okay." The blue hedgehog whispered comfortingly, feeling utterly relieved that his younger adoptive sibling wasn't too badly hurt and was safe. He felt tiny prickles of tears form in the corner of his eyes but managed to hold them back. When he felt Tails shake even as the young fox tried not to cry, Sonic rubbed the younger Mobian's head. "Shhhhh...It's alright, Tails. I'm here. You're safe now."
Even though Tails's intelligence was higher than Robotnik's, it was still clear to everyone that he was still just a child himself, and to Sonic, his younger brother he loved so much that he would do anything to protect him. Amy tearfully smiled before she hurried over to her friend and 'boyfriend' despite not wanting to interrupt the brothers' moment but she had been so worried about the two-tailed fox and hugged both of them, surprising Sonic and Tails but quickly didn't mind and allowed their friend to join in.
"Tails, are you okay?" Chris asked as he and Francies, who both felt so happy and felt their hearts warmed up at the bonding moment the blue hedgehog and the two-tailed fox were sharing, approached them.
"Yeah, I'm fine." Tails replied, sniffling a little before he, Sonic and Amy, who tried to kiss both of them on the head, reluctantly let go and he beamed at the blue hedgehog. "You've saved us all!"
"Yeah, yeah. I'm just glad that you guys are okay. I was really worried." Sonic replied, before asking. "But Tails, why'd you wind up way out here?"
"We've found out that the third Chaos Emerald is here." The two-tailed fox shrugged sheepishly, before realizing it was still in the ground. "Woah, that's right, I almost forgot!"
He quickly went to dig it out with his gloved hands as Sonic chuckled, "Easy, pal!" while the others laughed. "Still, you guys gotta be careful. It's not just Eggman to worry about. The Iron Empire are still out there."
Realizing that the blue hedgehog was right as they didn't even realize that the Iron Empire posed as a bigger threat than Robotnik, all four of the younger ones lowered their gazes in guilt, which Sonic noticed and sighed. The cobalt speedster knew that he should probably take up his own advice, but he had been so worried, he'd blame himself for the rest of his life if he lost them.
"We're sorry, Sonic." Chris muttered.
"Hey, don't worry about it." Sonic quickly said, smiling. "All that matters is that everybody's safe."
Unfortunately before the conversation could continue and Tails could get the Chaos Emerald out of the ground, they heard rumbling which alarmed all three Mobians and both human children. They looked up to see that FunFun wasn't out of commission yet as it began to stand up, causing most of them to gaze on in shock and panic while the blue hedgehog was very annoyed. Tails flailed his arms in panic and fear, not wanting to confront it again right now.
"Cool your jets, big guy! Just let him dig up what he came here for and we'll all go away!" Sonic yelled at the giant robot which towered over him and his friends.
The robot refused to listen and began to power up it's fan to blow away the group and take the Chaos Emerald.
"Guess I'll have to knock the wind out of ya!" Sonic declared jokingly. He smirked before racing over quickly after telling his friends to stand back and performed his Homing Attack. The blue hedgehog spun straight through the giant fan-robot and destroying it while launching himself out.
With a massive hole and it's circuits cut off, FunFun fell back and it's fan finally coming to a permanent stop. While the hero of Mobius landed on the ground successfuly, Tails, sighing in relief, finally saw something glowing slightly and shiny within the soil and breathed in awe. It was a yellow Chaos Emerald.
"Oh, wow!" The seven year old breathed, pulling it out and stood up while gazing at it happily.
"Oh, Tails, you shouldn't have!" A familiar mocking voice spoke.
Blinking in confusion at who spoke to him, Tails looked around only for a red machine claw to take the Chaos Emerald right out of his hand and when he saw this, he screamed in horror. He and the others looked up to see that Robotnik was back and had taken it away from them. The evil scientist laughed evilly as he then flew away back to his base with now two Chaos Emeralds in his possession.
"NO!" The seven year old shouted, dismayed and unable to believe that he failed again. The Chaos Emerald was gone and he just let 'Eggman' take it. He kicked the ground in frustration and guilt. He was so close, and just like before, Tails just lost the Chaos Emerald, only this time it was an easier way for their enemy to do so.
"Don't worry, Tails. It's not your fault." Sonic reassured, placing a comforting hand on his brother's shoulder, making the younger Mobian to look up at him in surprise as the blue hedgehog smirked confidently. "Let's go get it back!"
Even though Tails still felt guilty for the slip, he realized what Sonic was saying and that this was the best and only chance they had in getting not just the yellow Chaos Emerald back, but now also the previous one Robotnik stole. Feeling his own confidence return and knew that the blue hedgehog was right, the young fox smiled and nodded while following him quickly back to the X Cyclone, as Francies began to climb up since they had to get going.
"Francies!" Chris exclaimed, shocked that his friend was actually wanting to go, causing her to stop and gaze at him in confusion.
"What?" She asked.
"Umm... I think... it might be better if you stay here." The boy suggested nervously and worriedly.
"Huh? How come, Chris?" The twelve year old girl asked.
"It's gonna be dangerous!"
"Hey, Chris!" Amy called out as she and Tails had both already climbed in and Sonic stood waiting.
"You're not staying behind, are ya?" The two-tailed fox asked.
Realizing that there was no getting out of it and his childhood friend was braver than he was, the twelve year old boy sighed in defeat and climbed in. "Alright! Let's just go!"
Sonic did feel that for putting his friends into this, but they were running out of time and he did admire Francies' bravery and admired Chris not wanting his friend to get hurt considering what happened. But he knew that everybody would be safe in the X Tornado now and Tails was an extremely well talented pilot that would put pilots that had spent years in training out of their jobs. The hero of Mobius just hoped that Julius and the Iron Empire won't attack now of all times as well.
Once his friends were inside and ready to go, Tails switched the X Cyclone back into the X Tornado and Sonic jumped onto the nose of the plane and declared with a smirk. "Let's go get 'em!"
At Sonic's signal, the X Tornado took off to reach Robotnik's base to finish the job and reclaim the two Chaos Emeralds, unaware that Mr. Stewart watched them leave. While the spy-teacher still worried about the children, he was glad that the teenage Mobian had rescued the younger ones and was with them to protect the four youngsters.
He just hoped that they would succeed.
Meanwhile, Rouge jumped away from the E-12 Behemoth and avoiding all of it's attacks until she decided to end things with her human partner, calling out to her. "Hurry, set the charges!"
"Okay!" Topaz responded after planting the explosives and once her Mobian partner was in the safe distance, the female agent pushed a button which caused the explosives to go off and create a hole underneath the large robot who then ended up falling to it's demise.
The two smirked as Rouge rejoined her companion's side and they shared a high-five before hurrying with the Special Forces squad to reach the generation and destroy Robotnik's base once and for all.
Decoe and Bocoe were starting to get very worried as the situation for them was getting worse. No matter how many robots they sent out to stop the invasion, the army wasn't stopping their attacks at all.
"Our situation is becoming dangerous! Those soldiers have us outnumbered!" Decoe cried out, as he and his fellow robot were so focused on the screen that had the military and soldiers that they failed to notice Rouge, Topaz and their group racing down the corridors.
"We must formulate a new strategy quickly before they deactivate us!" Bocoe cried out in a panic, just as they then noticed something else beginning to approach the base on the radar. "Another enemy ship is approaching! This one must not get through!"
"Blast them!" Decoe screamed out.
Unfortunately what the two dumbots didn't even realize was that the thing that was approaching the base now was Dr. Robotnik who was just returning with the yellow Chaos Emerald. While he was admiring his second emerald he had just stolen, the evil scientist then noticed missiles being fired from his own base...and straight towards him!
"AAAH!" He screamed in surprise before narrowly dodging the attacks and then realized Decoe and Bocoe mistook him for the enemy. "Cease fire! It's me, you scrap heads!"
As Robotnik was busy dodging the missiles from his own base, he finally noticed the military firing at his 'home' and growled, realizing that they attacked while he was away getting the Chaos Emerald. "Ergh... the President thinks he's got me in his sights! Hah! Well, I hope you didn't rehearse a victory speech because I'm back in command now!"
Suddenly he was forced to dodge more missiles and shouted. "Hey, those are my missiles!"
Eventually he managed to sneak back into his base, not only to take command and destroy all of his enemies, but also give his two idiotic minions a good piece of his mind for almost killing him.
"Bwahahahahahahaha! Ah ha ha ha ha ha ha!" Julius laughed evilly and hysterically as his monitor was the only one that caught sight of his brother's embarrassing moment of almost getting killed. "It's too bad that Ivo is still alive! Getting attacked by his own minions! He's more second-rated than ever before! That pathetic dimwitted fool!"
"Sir! We have an incoming aircraft heading straight towards Dr. Robotnik's base!" One of the Iron Empire soldiers reported as the radar picked up another sight of something approaching said base itself.
"Another one of the Government's crafts?" The evil man asked, taking a breather and frowned as this was starting to get boring.
"Uh...actually..." The soldier began nervously, looking up at both the monitor as well as the live coverage that was happening.
Becoming quickly impatient on what was going on and expecting that it was just another fighter plane or battleship, what Julius saw made him grin.
"The attack on Robotnik's base appears to be failing." Scarlet reported worriedly as everybody in Station Square and around the world continued to watch. She then noticed something new and muttered in surprise. "Wait, what's that? A new aircraft is on the scene. Is that one of ours?"
"Huh?" Danny asked, before he and Ferrell noticed something different about the airplane coming into view; a large white plane with four wings and he exclaimed in relief. "It's the X Tornado!"
"Tornado!?" A man asked, bewildered.
"Where did it come from?" A woman asked.
"There's something on the nose of the craft. It's a blue-it can't be!" Scarlet exclaimed as the screen then revealed the familiar blue hedgehog. "It's a Mobian blue hedgehog! Could he be-!?"
"It's Sonic!" Danny cheered.
"Sonic the Hedgehog!?" A teenage boy exclaimed in shock and awe, never having thought of seeing the teenage hero of Mobius live and quite close to Station Square.
"Ha! Nice entrance there, kiddo!" Ferrell encouraged, smirking at his old friend's teenage son.
In Green Hill Zone in the Hedgehog Residence, Jules and Bernadette were watching the news when they too saw the X Tornado and while they had heard of it given their two sons' latest phone-call, never had they seen it before, or even expect to, until they saw their biological son on the plane's nose, ready to take action and finish the job.
"It's Sonic!" Bernadette exclaimed as she and her husband were sitting on the couch, both worried as well as amazed to see their heroic child once again there to save the world.
"And that must be the X Tornado he and Tails talked about." Jules added, shocked and in disbelief.
Sonic chuckled as he and his friends finally joined in the battlefield, ready to finish off the job and get the two Chaos Emeralds back. While the hero of Mobius did kind of doubt that this would be the end of Robotnik's conquest, that didn't mean he didn't want to join in on the fun in kicking the evil scientist's butt again.
Julius grinned wickedly when he saw Sonic fly on the X Tornado came into view.
"Perfect. Now it's a matter of waiting until Sonic dies within that base along with my brother, and then we move on to claim the Chaos Emeralds before getting that little girl and her Chao." The evil Iron Empire Leader chuckled darkly.
Things were finally starting to go according to plan.
Back inside the base, Rouge's group were getting closer to where she and Topaz discovered the generator room and finally found the door. But before they could get in, another E-12 Behemoth came crushing in through another wall to block the squad from entering. They all gasped in shock.
"There's another one!?" Topaz exclaimed in disbelief.
"Don't sweat it, sweetie, I'll handle this robot." Rouge reassured before ordering the group. "You lead the team to the generator room and set the charges!"
But as the Mobian Bat was leading this robot to a hiding place to distract it while Topaz, in agreement, quickly attempted to lead the soldiers into the room, they are suddenly ambushed by more robots, these ones being known as E-13 Guardbots and started firing at them, forcing the human soldiers to quickly dodge and attempt to fight back, but they were just too strong as only Mobian abilities can combat against Robotnik's creations.
"Missed me, slow bot!" Rouge taunted, only to get caught by the large machine's grasp. Grunting in discomfort and growling in anger, kicks it super hard and destroying it while freeing herself. But when she turned to see what was going on, she was shocked as Topaz and her men were forced to duck to avoid in getting shot at by the robots.
Just as the female bat was about to go in to help her human comrades, suddenly the floor cracked open and a surprisingly familiar red echidna emerged, much to her surprise as she recognized him. It was Knuckles who, seeing the people in trouble and already wanting to take action since Sonic wasn't here, immediately charged and jumps from the wall and jumps forward, destroying the bots. He smirks as the last one goes down. When the squad saw this and stood up, they were quite stunned to see the Mobian echidna actually here.
"Wow, thank you! You're one of Sonic's friends, aren't you?" Topaz said in gratitude and surprise.
"We're not friends!" The red echidna protested, despite that he did had some admiration for Sonic, but as far as he was concerned, they were more rivals than anything else even though the younger teen seemed to admire him as a friend.
"But you do know him, don't you?" The female agent asked.
"Maybe..." The fifteen year old admitted, reluctantedly.
"Well, well, well. Never thought I'd see you here." Rouge commented as she landed next to Knuckles who, surprised to see someone seemingly unfamiliar at first, almost instantly recognized her voice and his eyes widened.
Memories came flashing back at him as he knew who this was; a year ago, when he was guarding the Master Emerald, an albino bat thief came attempting to steal the giant gem and while Rouge had been a decent fighter, Knuckles still managed to drive her off the island, but then ended up encountering her again a few months later and the cycle repeated on and on until the recent events that drove him away from home.
"...You!?" Knuckles growled, glaring at the bat thief.
"Aw, so you do recognize me, don't you, Knuckie?" The bat agent smirked behind her mask.
"My name is Knuckles, not Knuckie! Never thought I'd see you again, Rouge, you batty thief!" The red echidna growled in irritation. He then questioned her and the rest of the squad. "By the way, what are you and your crew trying to do here anyway?"
"We're came here to destroy Robotnik's base. In fact, we're on our way to sabotage the generator room right now." Rouge explained while a bit miffed at the rude greeting she was receiving from the Guardian of the Master Emerald.
Knuckles just scoffed as he pointed out while folding his arms. "There's no way you could do it. That room will be impossible to get into."
"Really..." The female bat said dryly.
That shocked Topaz as she protested, not wanting to give up after coming this far. "We have to try!"
"You'll fail." Knuckles responded, silently volunteering to help as he smiled while pumping his fists. "Unless you have me along! I can't wait to see the look on Sonic's face when he finds out that I helped to defeat Dr. Eggman while he missed out on the glory! That'll mess with his ego!"
While everyone else were surprised to see the echidna willing to help, some of them, even Topaz and especially Rouge couldn't help but chuckle over what is said about Robotnik.
"Did you just call Robotnik "Eggman"? I hate to admit it, but that actually suits him." Topaz tried not to laugh, while the rest of the soldiers chuckled in amusement.
"I agree. We should call him Eggman from now on." Rouge snickered.
"I hate to admit it, it was Sonic who came up with his new nickname. Before, he would call him Robuttnik." The red echidna grudgingly lamented.
"Well, it sounds like you've got an inferiority complex!" The Mobian bat teased, making the younger Mobian gaze at her with wide eyes over what she said, baffling him.
"Huh? I...have a what?" Knuckles asked, really confused.
Rouge just giggled as she walked past him. "Oh, nothing. Never mind, Knuckles."
Blinking in confusion, Knuckles decided to forget about it for now and joined the group to take out the generator once and for all.
"THAT WAS ME!" Robotnik shouted furiously at Decoe and Bocoe, after having returned to the command room and was yelling at the two robotic minions for almost killing him when he was explained what was going on. "You tin-canned turkeys nearly wiped out the evilest genius in the universe! Bah!"
"Sorry, doctor." The two robots replied apologetically, while Robotnik turned his attention to what was going on outside, and to his frustration, saw Sonic and the X Tornado approach, the teenage blue hedgehog still holding that confident and cocky smirk on his muzzle like the fourteen year old always did.
"I'll wipe that smirk of Sonic's face!" The evil scientist growled after he zoomed in on the young hero of Mobius, before firing a flurry of missiles to destroy the Mobian hedgehog and his friends. "This time, I'm not holding back!"

As the X Tornado began to reach the base, the five young heroes saw more missiles being fired at them while the military nearby were still attempting to attack but seem to be failing hard and most of the group gasped while Sonic narrowed his eyes.
"What's that?" Chris asked, nevously as he held onto the straps of his seat as tightly as he could, his heart beating wildly in fear.
"Hang on tight, Chris!" Tails instructed as he, Sonic and Amy who was also clinging on fearfully, knew that this was a tough battle and Robotnik really means business this time.
"Here we go!" Sonic declared, bracing himself.

"Uh oh...Look out!" Decoe gulped nervously, as Robotnik strapped himself into his seat which was attached to his Egg Mobile and to the yellow robot and Bocoe's fear, their evil creator madly pushes buttons and spins around in his seat.
"This time, the doctor means business!" The shorter grey robot yelped. The two robots began to panic as a lever appeared in front of the evil scientist and Robotnik chuckled evilly before pulling and, firing even more missiles to destroy the five children.

Outside, Tails narrowed his eyes as he was unwilling to fail again before he used his skills to evade all of the missiles while Francies screamed in fear and Amy crying out. "Be careful!"
"Everything's gonna be okay!" The two-tailed fox promised, this time braver since, even though he tried to be brave without Sonic, was much easier with his big brother around to act as a spirital support.

Robotnik began laughing madly as he continued to push more buttons which made both Decoe and Bocoe back away and hold onto each other, terrified that the mad doctor was really losing his mind now.

Chris screamed as he held on for dear life. "We're gonna craaaaaaash!"
"Relax. We're fine!" Tails reassured, doing a spin around with his plane as the Missiles began to follow them.

"Ha ha ha ha ha haaaaa! This is the end of the line for you and your friends, Sonic!" Robotnik declared, grinning like mad.

In Green Hill Zone, Jules and Bernadette watched on nervously and worry for the children's safety when they and pretty much everyone all around the world watch the airbourne battle become much more serious.
"Sonic...Tails...! They're going to get hurt!" Bernadette muttered fearfully, afraid that her son and adoptive son will die and she and her husband would never see them again.
"Relax, Bernie. Everything's going to be fine." Jules attempted to comfort his wife, holding her in his arms and chest. "They're our boys, after all. They'll be alright. They always are."

In the Thorndyke Mansion, Chuck, Cream and Cheese were watching on also in great worry, hoping that Sonic and the others would be alright and make it back home safely, even with or without the Chaos Emeralds.
"Please be okay, everybody. You can do it." Cream whispered in prayer and encouragement.
"Chao..." Cheese whimpered.

Within Station Square, Danny, Ferrell and everyone else watched on in fear as they saw the missiles chase after the X Tornado, fearing that this was going to be the end of the brave hero Sonic the Hedgehog.
"They're done for!" A man shouted in fear.
"No, they're gonna make it through okay!" Danny yelled with determination, seeing the X Tornado fly by and he knew that his friends, both old and new, were going to be alright.

Amy then notices something and warned the seven year old pilot. "There's more coming!"
"Well, watch this!" Tails responded, smirking as he then turned the X Tornado around and firing lasers to shoot the missiles down, while Sonic jumped and used Homing Attack to smash a couple more before tricking the rest to fire onto each other, the blue hedgehog landing on one before leaping off just as another was heading straight towards him. He landed back onto the nose of the plane while the two missiles destroy each other, all of the missiles now gone thanks to the efforts of both adoptive brothers.
"YAAAAY!" Francies cheered happily and excitement, while Chris cringed and looking like he was ready to pass out from all the intense fear and battle.
"Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!" Sonic laughed in delight, happiness and excitement, his arms spread out with his eyes closed, before placing his hands on his hips with a wide smile.

"Pretty cool, huh?" Sonic asked which was shown on TV everywhere.
"Go Sonic!" Danny cheered happily, joined by everyone else who could now see the true heroic looks on the blue hedgehog who for three years had protected them and the planet from the evil of Dr. Ivo Robotnik.
"Nice work, kiddo! Keep it up!" Ferrell congratulated, smirking.

"Oh, Sonic..." Bernadette sighed in relief, even though she and her husband knew that it wasn't over yet. "And Tails..."
"Atta boys!" Jules cheered in relief and excitement.

Julius saw what was happening and began to frown slightly before smirking again. "Not bad, for children, Sonic and Tails. But let's see how you can handle Ivo and then recover in time to deal with me."

Sonic stood ready with a wide smirk as he felt pumped up to handle this on solid ground or at least solid floor. Tails fired more missiles at the Base's tower, forming a circle around the hard glass wall.
"Hey Sonic! Will that work?" Tails asked, smiling hopefully.
"Perfect!" Sonic replied in agreement. "I'll take care of the rest! Be back soon!"
The blue hedgehog then leaped off from the plane and while his friends flew away to the safe distance, he crashed straight through the wall in a newly made delicate part and made it inside in one of the higher corridor levels. Smirking as the dust cleared, the hero of Mobius then raced towards where he hoped he could find Robotnik or perhaps the Chaos Emeralds first and then deal with his enemy once again. Once he made it to another door, the fourteen year old smashed his way through and made to continue, only to hear the evil doctor's voice.
"That's close enough!" Robotnik declared from above having appeared in the room in his Egg Mobile, making Sonic skid to a stop in surprise as well as noticing another giant door while the evil man continued. "It was a fluke that you pushed it this far, but now your lucky streak is over!"
The huge doors then slid open and Sonic felt his heart stop for a second or two when they revealed something that made his eyes widen in shock, his mouth gaped open in disbelief. There inside another room was another, even bigger giant, humanoid robot with thick and muscle like arms and legs, leering eyes and was about at least 80 or 90 feet tall and on top of it's head was a command attachment.
"Whoa...! This thing's...this thing's huge!" Sonic whispered to himself, feeling a little bit frightened and intimidated by this enormous machine. "Talk about a mechanical monster...! But I can take this thing on!"
The blue hedgehog then narrowed his eyes and smirked to hide his slight fear, as Robotnik flew his Mobile right to the top of his latest creation, the E-18 Guerra-Hard.
"Ha ha ha ha ha ha HAAA!" Robotnik laughed as he attached his Mobile to the robot's head, instantly in command to control it remotely and leered down at his opponent. "Ready, hedgehog?"
"You bet, Dr. Eggman!" The hero of Mobius replied, clutching his fist and showing no fear.
"Then let's get started! And for the last time, its. Dr. Ivo. ROBOTNIK!" The evil scientist roared, controlling his giant robot who swung a punch at him.
But Sonic easily dodged the attack and leaped straight towards him with debris flying everywhere, zeroing him for a Homing Attack and bashed into the robot who stumbled back and Robotnik yelped before forcing his creation to reposition itself. The blue hedgehog landed and then speed away to avoid a powerful kick and punches the E-18 attempted to hit him with.
"Hold still, you little brat!" Robotnik shouted.
"You're too slow as always!" Sonic taunted with a smirk.
Now the battle was really heating up.
Meanwhile within the generator room, Topaz and the Special Forces squad were planting all of the demolision charges all over the generator under the floor that still remained opened since the last time.
"The demolition charge is all set, ma'am." One soldier reported to Topaz with a salute.
"Good work." She saluted back, before turning to inform that the mission was complete. "Well, looks like we're ready, Rouge." But her confusion, the Mobian Bat wasn't there. "Huh? Hey, where did Rouge go?"
Knuckles approached her and pointed upward to the hole above them. "I saw her go that way."
Confused, Topaz looked up and wondered aloud. "What in the world is she doing there?"
Sitting on the edge of the hole, Rouge, who had been trying to find the light-blue Chaos Emerald, moaned in disappointment while rubbing the back of her head and came to an annoyed conclusion. "Aww...Robotnik must be keeping the Chaos Emerald someplace else, now."
"Hey, Rouge!" Topaz called from below.
"Yeah?" The Mobian bat responded, a little bit exasperated for the interruption.
"Get down here! We've gotta go!" The female human agent informed.
"Go on, I'll catch up." The female bat responded.
Shocked, Topaz yelled urgently as there wasn't much time. "We need you!"
"There's something I've gotta take care of first!" Rouge replied, unaware that she, her group and Knuckles were all being watched by the hidden cameras they failed to spot.
With Robotnik busy taking care of Sonic, Decoe and Bocoe were once again left on their own and had finally spotted the intruders but didn't recognize them or even Knuckles, especially since the last time they saw the red echidna on Seaside Island with the whole dinosaur situation.
"They appear to be working on opposite sides, but are any of them working for us?" Decoe questioned with unease, before suggesting to his 'brother'. "You should lock them all in until we can figure out who is who."
"Good idea." Bocoe agreed, pressing a button to lock up the generator room and trap the group.
Hearing a banging sound behind her, Rouge yelped in alarm before looking over her shoulder and to her horror and dismay, several thick doors close in and sealing the generator room shut, trapping her, the squad and Knuckles.
"Uh oh! Not good." The female bat muttered worriedly as she stood up.
"Hey, what are you up to, Rouge?" Topaz asked as she, Knuckles and the men climbed up to where the seventeen year old Mobian girl was at, before they all saw the problem.
"They locked us in." Rouge announced, before turning back to the doors as she wasn't willing to remained locked up and she wasn't going to let her fellow agents or even Knuckles get blown up to kingdom come either. "But not for long!"
But as she kicked at the doors hard to try and bust her way out, she only managed to make her leg sore and landed back on the floor, unable to even make a crack.
"I can't kick through."
"Leave it to me!" Knuckles declared, knowing that he was most powerful Mobian on the planet in strength, a construct to Sonic's speed. The red echidna yelled out a battle cry as he charged and punched at the doors...which did nothing, much to his bewilderment. "Huh!? I didn't even make a dent."
He then tried again several times, but only managed to make a small dent. Knuckles grunted and growled in aggravation and beginning to slightly panic with a sweat drop. What did Robotnik use for these doors, super strong Mobian-resistant metal!?
Topaz began to worry and grow nervous as they didn't have much time to escape and if Rouge and Knuckles couldn't break through before the nine minutes were up, they were all as good as blown up along with the base. She gazed at her watch with her eyes shaking before turning to one of the soldiers.
"Is there time to defuse the charge?" She asked immediately, but the man only grimly shook his head in silence, much to her and everyone else's shock and dismay. Horrified and crushed with defeat, Topaz slumped to the floor with complete loss of hope, her heart sinking as she muttered, resigning herself to their fate. "Well, that's it..."
"We're not giving up yet!" Knuckles grunted, not willing to lose hope and was determined to get everyone out of here.
"He's right." Rouge agreed, sharing the echidna's courage and strong will. "Together, we've got a fighting chance!"
Mentally, Knuckles was quite surprised that the bat thief, who was also a GUN agent with a strong love for jewels, shared his determination and even though he disliked her a whole lot, suddenly he felt that he could trust her...at least this once, so he smiled at her and behind her mask, she returned it before the two turned back to the door.
"Ready?" Rouge asked, and as Knuckles nodded, the two kicked and punched as fast and hard as they could, combining their abilites break out of the generator before the explosives went off.
Sonic kept on fighting against the giant robot with Robotnik attempting to kill him once and for all. The blue hedgehog was determined to finish this fight once and all and find the two Chaos Emeralds, but he was quite shocked just how powerful this thing was and wondered what was making this machine so strong and frightfully fast. He was slumped against the wall slightly after being punched, wincing in pain before recovering quickly but gasped in shock and slight fear as the giant robot made to grab him.
The fourteen year old quickly sped away before the E-18's enormous hand could capture him, taunting. "Missed me again!"
"Yes, but how long will you keep this up, Sonic?" Robotnik challenged evilly, feeling that he was at full advantage.
"You know me, I'm not one to give up!" Sonic responded with a smirk, leaping up to attack with either his Spin Dash or Homing Attack again.
"Well, neither am I!" The evil scientist shouted, commanding his robot to attack again.
The giant robot successfully stopped Sonic's attack and kicked him so hard that he went flying towards the ceiling.
"AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!" Sonic screamed in pain before hitting the ceiling hard and began to fall but was kicked once more and crashed into the wall with dust flying everywhere.
"Ha ha ha ha ha! He's crushed!" The evil scientist laughed, enjoying the moment of finally putting an end to Sonic the Hedgehog.
As the dust cleared, Sonic was in a large dent in the wall when he crashed into it, wincing as his eyes were closed shut, panting a little but refused to give up. He opened his eyes and grinned while declaring. "Not yet!"
The blue hedgehog then leaped off of the wall and made to try and attack again, only for Robotnik to declare evilly, seizing his chance. "The pressure's on now, Sonic!"
Sonic then saw too late as the Guerra-Hard instantly reached out it's massive hand, and before he could even react even with a soft gasp and his eyes widening in now complete fear, the giant robot grabbed him. He winced in pain at the pressuring strength as he was trapped and clasped within the giant hand. The blue hedgehog felt his heart race in panic as he then tried to pull himself free.
Sonic grunted, trying to hold back his fear as he struggled in a futile attempt to escape the giant grip while trying to ignore Robotnik's delighted evil laugh to see him within it's robot grasp. The blue hedgehog then cried out in alarm as E-18 then shoved him against the wall, pinning him between it and now underneath it's hand, leaving him trapped while being squeezed between the two.
"Ugh...! I've gotten out of tighter squeezes...!" Sonic winced, cringing as he tried to hold on and figure out a way how to get out of this before he was squashed flat like a pancake.
"That's true, but this time, you've finally met your match! Guerra-Hard's the ultimate combat robot because it's got the ultimate power supply!" Robotnik declared, announcing the power source of his machine. "Two Chaos Emeralds!"
Within the giant robot itself were two small capsules that were used as a power supply for it, the yellow Chaos Emerald as well as the light-blue Chaos Emerald which he moved since Rouge's failed attempt to steal it just days ago and had ultimately decided to use two Emeralds to power up his robot which left Sonic powerless to fight it since he needed the Chaos Emeralds to defeat it but since the hero of Mobius had none, he was at the complete disadvantage.
The fourteen year old, hearing this, was shocked. This thing was powered by two of the Chaos Emeralds Robotnik stole? That explained why this giant metal monster was so powerful and why he had a hard time in defeating it. Sonic attempted to squeeze his way out, but only managed half way, peaking out from underneath the Guerra-Hard's hand.
"So that's it...!" Sonic whispered in realization. 'I gotta figure out how to get the Chaos Emeralds out of that thing? But how? I can't just give up! Everybody's counting on me!'
Robotnik grinned evilly, excited at this was the moment he has been waiting for the last three years; the ultimate crushing end of Sonic the Hedgehog, the hero of Mobius. "I've been looking forward to this Sonic-"
However, before he could continue his speech of victory, the phone on his Egg Mobile rang and despite being annoyed, he answered after the first ring. "Hello?"
"Sorry to bother you, doctor, but we have a problem. A group of intruders is locked in the generator room. We're unable to determine on who's side they're on." It was Decoe, who was reporting the problem with the intruders.
Shocked to hear that Sonic and his friends weren't the only ones having made it inside and realizing that it could be the government forces that sneaked in, Robotnik quickly turned on his security feed on his Egg Mobile's controls and saw that not only where the Special Forces there, but a familiar red echidna who was still punching his way out.
"Knuckles!?" Robotnik exclaimed in shock, before yelling angrily at Decoe. "Those are our enemies, you dumbot!"
"Then we will eliminate them." The yellow robot declared.
"What are they doing in the generator room anyway?" The evil scientist demanded, wondering how they managed to get in.
"I am not certain." Decoe admitted, and what he sent next sent in shock waves into his creator. "But they did mention something about demolition charges."
"THEY WHAT!?" Robotnik screamed in anger and horror.
Demotion charges!? That meant only one thing: His base was going to be blown up...with him and Sonic inside!
Knuckles and Rouge were still punching and kicking their way through the door as hard and fast as they could, even as the timer had now reached to just five minutes left.
"We're running out of time!" Topaz exclaimed, hoping against hope that they could get out of here before the bombs went off.
Sonic, sensing that something was wrong and knew that he had to get the Chaos Emeralds and get out of this place, attempted to figure out something to beat this thing, before an idea formed in his mind. 'If I can get inside that thing, I can snatch the Chaos Emeralds and maybe use their power to beat it. I've never used just two of them before, but if they can make a giant robot this strong, then maybe they can do the same for me too. Heh, Sonic, you blue daredevil.'
"This will be a cinch." Sonic muttered to himself, smirking as he saw that Robotnik was still distracted. He knew what he had to do and he was going to do it.
So the blue hedgehog turned again and with as much strength as he could muster, he pushed himself with a strain, pushing back the giant robot's hand off from the wall before finally pushing back away and ran to the left, now free from the massive grip and landed to the floor. Robotnik, seeing this and felt the pressure of E-18's grip on the teenager gone, saw that Sonic has, to his fury, managed to escape.
"Get Sonic!" Robotnik commanded in anger.
Landing safely on the floor, Sonic turned and dashed straight towards the giant robot once more.
"Run all you want! Guerra-Hard will still pulverize you!" The evil scientist shouted, piloting his machine to kick the teenager.
But this time Sonic just laughed thought ahead and skid to a stop, ducking just in time to avoid it's leg and then jumped up.
"Get him!" The evil man shouted, while Sonic landed on the leg, yelping a bit as he almost lost his balance before running straight towards the giant mechanical monster's chest and yelled out a determined cry as he leaped into the air, much to Robotnik's shock as he began to panic. "Stop him!"
The cobalt teenager continued to yell as he blasted his way straight through the giant robot's chest and successfully broke through the capsules, grabbing the two Chaos Emeralds and smashed his way out via the other side and leaped into the air, maneuvering himself to turn around and was now above his evil enemy who looked over his shoulder, seeing what happened and was horrified.
"Yeah-heh-heh!" Sonic shouted in victory.
"No! Bring them back!" Robotnik exclaimed, unable to believe that the tides have now turned against him and wondered how the teenager was able to do this.
The blue hedgehog narrowed his eyes before trying out the experiment, knowing that he had to be careful and clutched the two powerful gems tightly. Like with all seven, the Chaos Emeralds connected with his body, heart, mind and soul, turning his thoughts to a bit of a weaker but still strong power. He began to glow in a white and yellow aura, not fully transforming into Super Sonic, but still able to fly with their power. Sonic then charged and flew straight through the Guerra-Hard's chest and emerged easily on the other side, beginning to destroy it.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Robotnik screamed in complete panic and fear with the horrified realization that he was losing again, before crying out and yelping as his robot reacted somewhat comically in pain when Sonic repeatedly smashed his way in and out of the giant machine.
Finally Sonic smashed it enough before taking his leave and smashed his way out of the door, while the E-18 robot began to spark and explode.
"Oh no!" The evil scientist exclaimed in horror, knowing now that he lost and had to get out before he ended up dead. So he quickly de-attached his Egg Mobile from the giant robot and flew away to escape, not just from the exploding robot, but also his base which was soon about to be destroyed due to the efforts of Sonic, his friends and the Government.
The E-18 Guerra-Hard robot in the meantime soon exploded, and Sonic, still using the power of the Chaos Emeralds, began to destroy the base by flying in and out of it to ensure that Robotnik wouldn't be using it again or hopefully cause anymore trouble anytime soon.
Back inside the generator room, with only just a few minutes left, everyone began to feel the rumble of the base that began to crumble and come down.
"Ah, there's not much time to get out of here!" Topaz exclaimed.
"We're still locked in!" Rouge exclaimed as no matter how hard she and Knuckles tried, they weren't even out yet.
"Don't worry, I'll punch us out!" Knuckles declared and with a mighty yell, he punched one last time and finally made a hole through the doors. He smirked, "Alright!"
Rouge, suddenly seeing a huge beam of light coming straight towards them, immediately shoved Knuckles to the floor while crying out. "Look out!"
Just in time as they fell onto the floor, Sonic came blasting through the door and completely smashing it wide open before he burst through the generator room and smashed his way out through the ceiling, seemingly unaware that he just passed the Special Forces and the red echidna.
"What a show-off." Knuckles grumbled, very annoyed that Sonic did come after all and just saved the day once again and would get all the glory. He then glared at Rouge who was lying on top of him. "Get off! I wanna fight too!"
"Don't give me orders!" Rouge snapped as she pinched the younger teenager's head before standing up while the men raced out of the room and the tower. "I'm in charge of this operation! You follow my lead!"
"Yeah?" The fifteen year old growled as he stood up and argued. "Well, following you is what got us trapped to start with!"
As Topaz approached the arguing Mobians, Rouge teasingly snickered. "The last echidna in the world, you're cute when you're ang-"
"WE HAVE TO GET OUT OF HERE NOW!" Topaz finally snapped to stop the fighting, making the two widen their eyes with slight fright and startle, before they decided to agree and all three of them raced outside to escape.
Just in time as Rouge, Topaz, Knuckles and the Special Forces squad made their exit, the demolition charge finally reached zero and self-destructed, creating a massive explosion and when the trio looked back once they made it outside and in a safe distance on the beach, they all fell to the ground and braced themselves as the entire tower was engulfed in huge yellow fireball, vanishing from sight and sand and dust blowing over the three harmlessly.
In Station Square, everyone saw this and all cheered in relief to see that Robotnik's base was completely destroyed. All except a couple.
"But...where's Sonic?" Danny asked, worriedly.
"Hmm...Just hope the kid managed to get out of there." Ferrell muttered in concern. He really liked Sonic. The teenage boy reminded him so much of Jules, yet it was clear that the fourteen year old also shared some of his mother's kindness and deep care for others.
"That fireball's huge." Chuck remarked as he, Cream and Cheese saw the tower being destroyed. "I hope Sonic wasn't still in there..."
While Cream was gravely worried about the kind and heroic hedgehog, she heard many stories of how the hero of Mobius managed to get out of many situations and after seeing it in person, felt hope and full trust in her friend.
"I bet we'll see him any second!" The five year old girl reassured, turning to Cheese. "Right, Cheese?"
"Chao!" Cheese squeaked in agreement as he floated up into the air.
"And thus ends the pathetic lives of Ivo Eggman and Sonic the Hedgehog." Julius declared darkly as he saw the events unfold. "Now we move to Station Square and capture that little brat and her Chao."
"But sir, what if Sonic has managed to survive?" One of the Iron Empire soldiers questioned doubtfully.
"Even if he does survive, that blue child will be too weak to defeat us." The evil leader chuckled.
"Uh...Sir? I wouldn't say that just yet." An assistant muttered, pointing at the screen.
Growling at the doubt his men were casting, when Julius looked at the monitor and news again, what he saw made him utterly shocked and dismayed.
"...What!?" He exclaimed, unable to believe what he was seeing.
Over the ocean in the safe distance away from the island were Robotnik's base was now completely destroyed, the X-Tornado hovered until a trail of smoke flew up into the sky and thinning to reveal a fully alive, healed and victorious Sonic who held the two Chaos Emeralds in his hands, laughing happily before landing on the nose of the plane.
"Yeah!" Sonic cheered as he turned to face his friends, mission accomplished.
"Sonic!" Tails, Amy, Chris and Francies cheered happily, not only delighted to see their older friend safe and sound, but also having got the two Chaos Emeralds back.
"We did it!" Sonic celebrated as he turned again, the Emeralds held up above his head. "Take that, Eggman!"
Seeing Sonic happily cheering on the screen everywhere, everyone celebrated to see the young hero victorious once again defeat Dr. Robotnik and had claimed two more Chaos Emeralds.
"Way to go!" Danny cheered happily.
"Atta boy, kiddo!" Ferrell smiled in relief and joy, smiling warmly as he folded all four of his arms. "You really are your father's son...and Charlie's nephew. They'll be so proud."
In fact, the Mobian Spider was definitely certain that Sir Charles Hedgehog would be very proud of his nephew's accomplishments and strong-willed bravery.
"Oh, thank goodness!" Bernadette breathed a sigh of relief as she and Jules saw their son alive and well, and as usual, having saved the world. "Our baby's really growing up."
"See? I knew Sonic would come through." Jules smiled warmly as his wife as they shared an embrace of relief before turning back to the TV and gazed on proudly at their son. "We're very proud of you, son. And we'll always will be."
Julius on the other hand, was anything but happy. Not only was Sonic alive and well, but the teenager looked as though he hadn't been fighting at all. The blue hedgehog was cheering happily with his friends and with two Chaos Emeralds in hand, and it didn't take long for the evil man to realize how the hero of Mobius had pulled this off.
"That...little...infuriating...MOBIAN BRAT!" The evil man roared in pure anger, his face turning as red as an apple, boiling as hot as a teapot, and flung his desk over before smashing and punching everything in sight, while the people in the room quickly dodged and fled for their lives and out of the room, fearing to be hurt by their twisted leader's fury.
"That Sonic the Hedgehog used the Chaos Emeralds' power to destroy the tower and they healed his wounds because he is the chosen one! I will not stand for this!" Julius roared as he destroyed almost everything in his office.
After a good solid fifteen minutes of fury, he panted heavily to calm down after another five minutes of doing that, with a heavy realization that as long as Sonic had the Chaos Emeralds, it was even more difficult to capture Cream and Cheese, Julius stormed over to his destroyed desk and yanked open it's still intact drawer before snatching the toy of the hero of Mobius, clutching it in his hand.
"I'll get you for this, Sonic...I swear to Chaos, you will be crushed...in the palm of my hand!" The evil Iron Empire Leader vowed, squeezing the little doll and imagined the teenager crying out for help and pleading to be let go.
Julius will get what he wanted, one way or another.
After successfully defeating Robotnik and taking back the Chaos Emeralds, Sonic and his friends returned home to the Thorndyke Mansion where Tails landed the X Tornado and the five of them headed to the garage where Chuck, Cream and Cheese greeted them, the little five year old rabbit girl raced over and hugged Sonic, Amy and Tails who all laughed as did Chris and Francies who joined in on the group hug.
"Mr. Sonic! Miss Amy! Mr. Tails! Mr. Chris! Miss Francies! You're okay!" Cream squealed happily as her friends hugged her and Cheese back.
"Cream! We're sorry that we worried you." Amy replied, hugging her newest best friend back.
"We're so glad to be back home." Tails added, now relieved that they had three Chaos Emeralds in hand and one step closer in solving the mysteries.
Sonic laughed before handing Chuck the Chaos Emeralds and hugged his friends back while saying to Cream. "See? I told ya' we'd be back before you know it, didn't I?"
"You sure did." Cream beamed, giggling.
"Chao chao chao chao chao!" Cheese squealed, hugging Sonic on the face and nuzzling onto his left cheek.
"Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha! Aw, thanks guys!" The blue hedgehog laughed, and while he knew that there were going to be more dangerous adventures up ahead, and he still vowed to find Cream's mother Vanilla, at least they now had three Chaos Emeralds while Robotnik had none, and the Iron Empire still had the Master Emerald as well as Vanilla, and the other villagers.
"You all had me worried, but it looks like you really are the hero of Mobius, Sonic." The elder Thorndyke remarked proudly.
Sonic smiled and corrected. "Tails and the others helped in that part, Chuck. As far as I can see, we're all heroes of the day. Even the government forces helped out."
"But...do you think Eggman will be back, though?" Amy wondered, unable to stop herself from worrying.
That caught everyone's attentions even as Tails added. "Yeah, just because his base is destroyed, I don't think he's gone for good."
"You mean he'll keep on coming back?" Francies asked, worriedly and shocked.
"Does that mean he got out somehow?" Chris asked, nervously.
"It'll be fine. Sure Robotnik's one tough egg to crack, but we can beat him. I've done before lots of times. I know one thing that's always much stronger than even his most powerful giant robots and not just the Chaos Emeralds." Sonic reassured, smirking. "It's our friendship, love for each other and our families, believing in the good of the people, never giving up hope or determination, and doing the right thing that makes us strong. Even without the Chaos Emeralds, it's the strength in our hearts that keep us going. At least, that's what I figure."
All of his friends gazed at him with such admiration over his speech, the truth in his words and powerful believes on what he saw was the truth of how their lives worked and all beamed smiles and expressions of awe at him and all agreed. Especially Chris who, after the events today, decided that in the future he would work hard to be braver and try and do the right thing himself.
'I'm going to keep helping everybody here and maybe help other people too. Just like Sonic.' The twelve year old boy decided in his mind.
"It won't be easy, but together, I know we can win. We've beaten Eggman today, and someday soon, we'll beat the Iron Empire and get Cream's mother and all of the other people back." Sonic declared.
Everyone cheered in agreement, as now that they had three Chaos Emeralds, they only had four more to find.
As their adventures in Station Square continued.
Later that afternoon on Robotnik's now desolate island, the evil scientist, having survived and hidden himself from sight as his base was completely destroyed by the efforts of Sonic, his friends and the government, the latter group foolishly believing that the man himself was gone for good until everybody was gone before he slumped himself onto the beach with the sun setting. Decoe, Bocoe and Bokkun, also having survived, laid against the rock wall behind them and moaning.
"You think you've defeated me, but I'm still alive. I'll get you all for this, Sonic the Hedgehog. You haven't seen the last of Dr. Eggman yet!" Robotnik shouted, before realizing what he said in the last part of his sentence and groaned in dismay, facepalming himself. "Oooh! Now I'm calling myself that horrid new nickname!"
"Actually, Dr. Robotnik, I think the name is starting to sound better than you original one." Decoe blurted out.
"It could give you a new identity to hide the fact that you share the same name as your brother Julius." Bocoe added.
"YOU IDIOTS! I refuse to change my name just for that!" The evil scientist yelled out, before standing up and began to charge straight towards them. "This is all your fault that my beautiful base is ruined!"
"AAAAHHHH!" Decoe and Bocoe both screamed in fear, before stumbling up and ran away to escape from being dismantled from their creator while Bokkun sat back nervously as he watched the three of them run all over the beach.
"I think I'd better go hide somewhere else before Dr. Robotnik gets to me." The messenger robot suggested to himself and flew away to the top of the island, while Robotnik shouted angry insults at his creations.
Yet despite his latest loss against Sonic, this wasn't the end of Robotnik yet. Soon he will return and continue his plan in the near future. One way or another.
No matter what, he will get the Chaos Emeralds. Thus Sonic's battle against his enemy wasn't over.
A/N: Another chapter completed and Robotnik's base is finally destroyed! But the adventures of Sonic and his friends still continue as they have to find the rest of the Chaos Emeralds as well as locate the Iron Empire's base. What will the next adventure be, only time will tell.
