Sounds of bird Pokémon tweet outside as the sun breaks its rays of sunlight through the window and onto Vincent's face which is now a young man. It's been several years since he first moved away from his friends to a city called 'Solwille city,' he now has medium-length black hair. But one thing that still eats at his heart is that he never got the chance to say goodbye.

Vincent now works for his parents' company since he is at the proclaimed age to work in their offices. They kicked Vincent out of their house into his own house which he honestly thinks isn't that bad at all since he gets so much more freedom within his free time. Even though one key thing he would rather spend that time is with his sweet Fennekin Aurora. Being able to play all day without restrictions.

He finally got up from his bed and sat on the edge of the bed, looking around at the white-painted walls that always remind him of Aurora. "Sigh, I always feel so dreadful whenever I think about her. Why did my parents even want to move in the first place? It's not like there was anything wrong with Longmeadow, at least... I don't think so...?" Vincent quietly said, talking to himself.

Deciding to finally get up and get ready for work Vincent walked toward the walk-in closet on the far side of his room slightly in the corner he entered grabbing plain black slacks and a plain white long-sleeved dress shirt completing the set with a thin jacket, and without wasting any time he removed the sleep ware he wore and threw them into the hamper that was sitting by a corner in the closet. Swiftly putting on his work clothes he exited the closet and straight out of his room not before grabbing his phone. Vincent went down the hallway with fancy portrait pictures of his parents along with their achievements. After shortly admiring the pictures, he headed down the curved stairs and entered a clean kitchen by the left of the bottom of the stairs. Having looked at his watch saying it was 7:37 AM knowing he had less than half an hour to arrive at work without being late, he simply made a slice of toast along with a cup of coffee when he was done with the small breakfast it was 7:42 AM. Quickly acting he went to the restroom to brush his teeth. Lastly, Vincent finally made his way to the front door to put on my shoes and exit out to the great outdoors and into his refined car upon starting the car the steel gates that were in front of the large house automatically opened and he made his way down the sloped downhill road since the house was built atop of a hill.

About over ten minutes passed, and he officially made it through the big city and to the office building where he'd work. It was pretty tall, about over thirty floors at least that's what Vincent thought. Either way, he drove his car to the underground parking lot that was somewhat below the tall skyscraper office building and parked at one of the open parking spaces.

Walking out of the parking lot into the sunlit sidewalk. Vincent fixed the sleeves of his shirt and walked to the glass front doors of the office building. When entering the building, he was met with the secretary at the end of the room.

"Oh, Mister Garrison! Lovely morning, isn't it?" Hearing the woman's voice Vincent stopped in his tracks before going into one of the elevators on the right or left far side of the desk where the woman worked, Vincent said his hellos before proceeding.

"Hey there, indeed it is. It's bright today, but I guess that's spring for ya heh-heh." Vincent nervously scratched the back of his neck, he then headed for one of the elevators. "I better get going before I'm late. I don't need a visit from my mother because I was tardy. See you tomorrow though." Without further delay, Vincent said his goodbyes and went into one of the elevators pressing one of the many buttons to reach the floor his team was assigned.

Reaching the floor Vincent worked on he was immediately greeted by two co-workers "Eyy! Vincent took you long enough!" A male co-worker greeted him.

"Sorry heh-heh, I had to stay after work to finish up yesterday's project." Vincent remembered that he had to stay over the night which was probably why he was almost late to work today. Then to the left of him, A female voice spoke up.

"Well thanks to you Vincent we were able to finish the project before the deadline, but we still got some small paperwork to get done" Vincent simply nodded knowing that his parents wouldn't give them any breaks in-between projects.

"I better get into my office then and get to work, I'll speak with you guys later." Walking away from my two co-workers he entered his personal office and sat on the chair by his desk. Looking at all of the work papers he decided to get working as he didn't want to have to extend his work hours.

About two hours after starting Vincent had removed a little less than half of the pile of paperwork. "Uuggghhh how much work do my parents want to be done?" While he complained about how much work he had received, he felt his phone rumble in the pocket of his pants. "what could that be?" Vincent said questioning, taking a small minute break to check the notification on his phone. It was a text message from an unknown number.

?: "Hey is this, Vincent?"

Vincent: "Yeah? Why? Who is this?"

?: "Oh! Good! Do you at any chance remember a girl named Clare?"

"That name... My childhood friend, I haven't seen her in years, but who and why is mentioning her?" The confused young man was left pondering thinking about Clare before answering.

Vincent: "Indeed I do. She's an old childhood friend of mine. Why do you ask?"

?: "Because you're speaking to her silly! I can't believe I found your phone number!"

Vincent: "Wait, really? No way! I can't believe it's you, Clare!"

Vincent was left shocked but ecstatic at the same time finding out he actually might see Clare again

Clare: "You better start believing it because it's true! Oh, we sooo gotta meet up sometime, will you be free tomorrow?"

Vincent: "Yes, of course, I'll be free! I just need to finish up work beforehand and I can meet up with you. Where do you plan on meeting? I didn't know you moved here

Clare: "I didn't move here silly, but I am going out exploring the world though I just somehow managed to find myself here and found your number through your workplace"

Vincent: "Damn didn't know you were doing that, makes sense though because I haven't seen you since I moved. Anyways, let's not get sentimental. Where do you wanna meet?"

Clare: "How about that one café that's nearby? heard they sell good drinks and, food"

Vincent: "The cafe that has a logo of a Sinistea?"
Clare: "Believe so, you better not be late! someone has been dying to see you!"

Just like that Vincent couldn't help but have a big goofy smile on his face knowing who she was talking about.

Vincent: "Aurora?"

Clare: "Guess you'll have to wait and see! I'll see you soon, ok? byeeeee!"

Vincent: "Man… Alright. I'll see you soon Clare"

After Vincent finished messaging his old friend, he'd knock himself out of his thoughts of the chance to see Aurora again along with Clare as well. The young man went back to work on the several papers that still need to be done after he escaped his thoughts. "Alright… Let's at least finish this before we start thinking about tomorrow."

By the time Vincent had finished the last pieces of the work papers, he checked his watch. It has already been past 8 PM usually, all his co-workers leave an hour earlier than he does since his parents give him a bigger workload within the whole team. Vincent doesn't mind though he would tell himself it isn't anything bad, he doesn't mind doing a little extra work, and he does get paid after all if he didn't, he probably wouldn't even work for his parents. Once again Vincent was left in his indefinite lasting thoughts, quickly he shook out of his thoughts and pushed the office chair back then he got up making sure he had everything including his car and house keys. After confirming that he did, he pushed the chair back below the desk and finally left the office heading straight for the elevator pressing the ground floor button as he entered. Reaching the ground floor, the only thing that accompanied him was the moonlit lobby. In Vincent's thoughts, it was extremely peaceful… Strangely sorrowful also… Just being in the presence of the moon-filled light room feels like it's trying to tell him something, something… important. "Ughhh…" Violently shaking his head so he could leave the captivating thoughts he pushed open one of the duel windowed doors locking them behind himself so no one unwantedly curious wanders in, possibly stealing something worth value. Turning his body towards the parking lot he continued a silent walk hearing only faint atmospheric sounds of the city. Reaching his car, he started the engine finally making his way home for a good night's worth of sleep. On top of that, maybe eat dinner… He only ate a slice of toast after all.

Upon reaching the road where his house sits, he eagerly drove up the hilled curved road spotting the same metal fences he saw this morning waiting for them to automatically open. He drove into his driveway shutting off the engine. Exiting the car, he followed the smooth stone path which started from the driveway to the front door, using his keys to unlock the front door. When stepping inside his home he could already feel the warmth of comfort take its place in his heart. Shutting and locking the door behind him, he flicked the shoes he wore off his feet. Looking to his right he spots the kitchen and immediately his stomach growls. "Shit that's right, I still haven't eaten anything…" Walking towards the spacious clean kitchen he began searching the cabinets for anything which could quickly be made. "Instant ramen? That could work." Grabbing the serving of ramen, he set it down on the counter searching for a kettle to heat water. Finding the kettle, he filled it up with tap water and set it on the stove to boil. A few minutes later the water was hot enough, so Vincent tore open the ramen cover and poured the boiling hot water into the cup then grabbed a fork from a drawer to stir around the ramen. Vincent let it sit for a bit to cool down then soon after he dug in curing his hunger.

After finishing the cheap small dinner Vincent headed up the same curved stairs, he went down this morning. Soon Vincent met with his bedroom door. Opening the door, he set his eyes on his bed, quickly changing into more comfortable clothes to sleep in before laying down. Vincent would then stumble towards the bed preparing to rest. Laying down on the bed he could only think about the event that'll happen later in the evening. "Arceus. I can't believe I have a chance to see them again… Clare… Aurora… We have lots of lost time to make up." Vincent said with high hopes. Checking his phone, it was close to 9 PM. "Better get as much sleep as possible, I need to finish work early for that chance to see them again." Fully closing his eyes, deep depths of sleep consume his conscience waiting for the next day to come.

-

Shining light tries to enter the cracks of Vincent's eyelids, still exhausted he slowly opens his eyes to face the bare ceiling, then out of nowhere a surge of energy would fill his body. "Aurora...!" Vincent loudly whispered as he remembered the important event he had planned with Clare. Eagerly getting out of bed he went through the same morning routines as any other workday, get dressed, eat, brush his teeth, then head to work. Once again driving his way into the city he reaches the same office building, parking in an open space, and finally enters the building.

"Mister Garrison, you seem in a good mood today." The same secretary attending the lobby noticing Vincent's good mood greeted him as she does every day to anyone. "Oh? Do I?" The man said, scratching his cheek. "Hopefully it helps me out today heh-heh, anyways I'll see you tomorrow." Both waved bye to each other as Vincent went inside the elevator.

On my work floor, Vincent tried his best to ignore any type of conversation by speed walking to his own office hoping he could finish work as quickly as possible. Opening the door to the office room he'd slip through and close the door behind himself and immediately sit down in the chair by the desk. He looked at the piles of paper that were already sitting on the desk he was set to do and went to work swiftly completing each paper one at a time not caring if any mistakes messed up his pay grade.

After about 2-3 hours Vincent would once again feel his phone rumble in his pocket. Grabbing the phone, he was met by an incoming call from Clare. "Oh shit, she's calling me. Now that I think about it, I haven't heard her voice since we were kids…" Accepting the call my ear heard familiarity in her high-pitched voice but one that was full of heart.

"Heyyyyy! Vincent, you actually answered! I thought you would be busy with work."
"I believe I can spare at least a few minutes of my time to talk with you, Clare." Vincent rolled his eyes.
"I'm just teasing, I'm just teasing. I just wanted to make sure you weren't thinking of bailing on us."
"I wouldn't dream of it." Vincent smiled slightly.
"I know you wouldn't, Vincent, you're not like that after all."
"You're my friend Clare, I would just feel like a complete dick if I forgot about meeting up with you."
"I would never forgive you if you ever did. Hihi~ Anyways, are you free at the moment?"

Vincent looked at the small pile of work he clearly still had left.

"Yeah… I'm free…" he replied shoving the work for another day even if it meant extra work
"Oh? Really? I honestly thought you were still working, but this works out so well!"
"Yeah, I finished not that long ago before you called." Vincent said not trying to sound guilty.
"Great! You still know where we plan on meeting right?
"Yeah, Yeah, Yeah, I know, it's that nearby café I'll see you there"
"Alright! I'll be sitting just outside waiting for you Vincent!"

As she hangs up the call Vincent starts cleaning the desk preparing to leave work early. The young, excited man followed the same steps when he entered the building, reversing the order from his office to his car. Starting the engine and setting the destination for the nearby café Clare planned for them to meet. Vincent left the parking garage and plucked at his memory trying to remember where the café was in the big grand city called 'Solwille.'

A few minutes of mindless driving occurred while Vincent was trying to find the nearby café but didn't last long the moment, he turned a corner spotting a big circular sign with the Pokémon Sinistea. "Ah, there it is." Vincent simply said looking for a place to park. Parking on the side of the road Vincent stepped out of his car and towards the café, he didn't see anyone that could look like Clare so he decided to sit in the outdoor area so he could easily spot at least some familiarity from any passerby. "I am at the right place right…?" Vincent said, looking at the sign again. "She said it was this one, I guess I got here before her then." Vincent silently told himself. After waiting for a few minutes, a waitress stepped outside walking to Vincent's table. "Hello, there sir! What could I get you today?" The giddy joyed voice knocked Vincent out of his thoughts "Oh! Uh…" Vincent was stumped at first but decided on a simple glass of water. "I'll just have a glass of water at the moment, I'm currently waiting on a friend heh-heh…" Vincent said, a little embarrassed. "I'll go get your water right away!" The still giddy joyed women went back inside to retrieve the requested water and came back within a few minutes with Vincent's water. "Here you go sir, I'll be around if you need anything else!"

"Ah, thank you miss" Vincent thanked the waitress then after the woman left Vincent was back left to his thoughts and a mere glass of water. Vincent was left with more waiting until he heard someone yelling out his name from behind.

"Vinnnncennnnt!" Vincent turned his head to the source of the yelling and then was met with a shortish woman with blonde hair in a ponytail waving in his direction. Vincent waved back, noticing Clare's blonde hair which he remembers from childhood along with a timid purple coated Braixen following behind her. "Aurora…?" Vincent mentally questioned. Clare then reached Vincent's table taking a seat in front of him with the Braixen sitting next to her still seeming timid trying their best to avoid any kind of eye contact. Vincent was looking at the nervous Braixen with many things on his mind but without getting the chance to say something Clare raised her voice interrupting Vincent's thoughts. "Sooooooo, this is what you look like after all these years!" Vincent was caught off guard. "O-Oh hey long time no see!" The Purple shaded color Braixen perked her head upon hearing Vincent's voice. "What have you been doing all these years?" Vincent questioned stealing a glance at the nearby Braixen.

"I told you silly! I'm adventuring in the big, great world! Hihi~" Vincent grew embarrassed for forgetting what he had been told not that long ago

"R-Right, I forgot you already told me heh-heh," Vincent nervously chuckled. "You doing that Pokémon Trainer thing?" Vincent reasonably guessed.

"Nope! Just plain old adventuring seeing all kinds of things, old and new." Clare said, clarifying Vincent's question.

"Sorry heh, I only guessed because of Aurora. Look how tall she grew." Vincent then smiled looking at the unnaturally tall Braixen who he thought was Aurora who blushed once she realized Vincent was staring at her.

"No problem at all! Speaking of Aurora… You haven't said anything since we got here, my little girl. Hihi~"

"B-Brai… Braix, Braixen…" Aurora grew more flustered as her name was called out from Clare. Upon hearing Aurora's voice Vincent went into his thoughts again. "Her voice is strangely beautifully sweet sounding…"

"Aww, I didn't mean to make her feel embarrassed Aurora I was just guessing Vincent wanted to hear your voice." Clare said reassuring Aurora.

"Brai…?" Aurora then looked at Vincent who was still looking at her with a small smile on his face. "B-B-Braixen…" Aurora blushed brighter having Vincent gaze at her, she then tried covering her face with both ear tufts though she couldn't avert her own gaze from Vincent's face.

"There's no reason to feel anxious about your voice Aurora," Vincent said, still smiling. "I think your voice is quite beautiful. " The man said, smiling brighter, Vincent's smile made Aurora blush red, collectively his complement also.

"I think she's just shy," said Clare trying to clarify. "After all, she hasn't seen you in years, Mr. Businessman." Clare said, teasing Vincent.

"B-Braixen, xen." Aurora spoke, nodding still hiding her flushed face.

"S-Sorry I just wanted to make sure she's fine." Vincent said nervously, admitting.

Then another waitress came to the group's table cutting the conversation. "Hello, there you three, what can I get you today?" The waitress asked, awaiting their orders. The two adults both grabbed the menus on the table with Aurora peaking at Clare's menu

"Ummm can I get two Vanilla Gâteaux? As well as some lemonade and water, please?" Clare placed her order as the waitress wrote Clare's and presumably Aurora's too. When the waitress was done writing she turned to Vincent.

"And what about you sir?" The waitress said with her pen still on the notepad she used.

"Let's see… Could I just get a plain cheesecake and a refill of water, please?" Vincent asked as the waitress wrote his order down as well.

"Will that be all?" The two adults in unison both say yes, confirming for the waitress to go inside the building and give in their orders. As the group waited Vincent struck a conversation with the two across from him.

"I'm guessing you feed Aurora whatever?" Vincent asked, tilting his head.

"Yup! She is another being and isn't just some pet, she has feelings too y'know?" Clare said confidently.

"Of course, she is, I just didn't know she could eat anything without it harming her." Vincent said in a worried tone.

"Don't worry, I made sure to take her to a doctor frequently just in case. I didn't get any bad news whenever we went." Vincent sighed in relief.

"Braixen!" Aurora announced which Vincent thought she said something to reassure him.

"Alright that's good, I was just making sure is all." Said Vincent

"Y'know you worry a lot, hihi~" Clare teased. "You're still the same old Vincent I knew back then." Clare smiled.

"W-What's that supposed to mean?" Vincent said confused and worried.

"Nothing bad! It's good that you're the same caring guy from all these years." Vincent was a little embarrassed scratching the back of his neck. Finally, after Clare's comment, the waitress came back with the ordered food.

"Wow, this looks amazing!" Clare said with an amazing look and tone.

"Braix, Xen!" Aurora said in her native tongue, agreeing.

After minutes of chatting and eating the group finally finished their meals.

"I'll pay for the bill," Vincent said immediately after. "It's the best I could do."

"You sure? I could pay for half." Clare said considerably.

"Yeah, it's alright," Vincent said, defusing Clare's offer. "I don't spend that much money anyways so it's fine." Vincent confidently said.

"If you say so," Clare said, knowing arguing wouldn't change Vincent's mind. "Hey before I take off," Vincent after hearing her words grew sorrowful. "Would you like to take care of Aurora while I'm away?" Upon hearing Clare's offer, Vincent's eyes widened.

"B-Braixen!?" Aurora said confused all the while blushing.

"I would love to…! But are you sure? You have been with each other for the longest time, I would feel bad if I just took her away." Aurora's face would sadden with her ears drooping worrying Vincent would decline.

"Don't worry you're not taking her away, plus I think she would love to spend more time with her, isn't that right Aurora?" Aurora's ears perked up when she heard her name she would then blush when hearing Clare's proposal she then turned to Vincent.
"B-B-Brai, Braixen, x-xen." Aurora Timidly said, nodding. Vincent blushed at the fact that Aurora didn't mind staying with him

"Well, if she's fine with it then I am too." Vincent said unhesitatingly"

"Alright, good! Also, before I go make sure you take care of yourself, ok? Make sure you're eating properly and all that. If not, I'll barge into your home!" Aurora seemed worried about Clare's behavior

"I am, I am don't worry about it, is there anything I should know about Aurora before you go?" Vincent said questionably, making sure he'll take care of Aurora the best as possible.

"Not that I can think of, she is a smart girl after all just make sure you treat her right, ok? Mr. Business Boy?

"I will, you know I care about Aurora as much as you." Vincent said with a reassuring tone.

"Welp if you two are all set I'll be off! Also one more thing…" Clare turned to Aurora. "You take care of him well you girl?" Aurora hearing Clare's words made her flustered but she had a determined look. Vincent looked confused about what Clare meant.

"B-Braixen!" Aurora said with the same determined look she had before

"Welp! Now I'm leaving. I'll see you two later alright? I'll call or text you Vincent or check up on my little girl. Clare said slowly walking away waving

"No problem, talk to you soon Clare" Vincent waved goodbye along with Aurora.

"Braaiiix!" Aurora said her goodbyes as well.

When the three said their goodbyes Clare was already on her way going to wherever her heart took her. Vincent then looked at the tall Braixen who stood by him feeling a little embarrassed that it was just the two of them together.

"I guess I should take you to where my home is now, huh?" Vincent said, scratching his chin and looking at the setting sun. "It's getting pretty late, c'mon take my hand." Vincent then offered his hand to the shy vixen.

"B-Brai" Aurora then hesitantly took Vincent's hand unsure if she was allowed to hold it with her paw despite Vincent giving permission. After Aurora took his hand, Vincent took themselves to his car bringing Aurora to the other side of the car to sit in the front with him. Entering, Vincent then started the car and went his way to his home.

The car ride home was awkwardly silent, the only sound being light breathing. Vincent peaked at a nervous Aurora from the corner of his eyes.

"Aurora," Vincent said her name making the purple-coated Braixen jump. "There's nothing to be anxious about, I know it's a big change living with someone new but I'll try my best to take care of you so if there's anything wrong please don't hesitate and tell me I want to make this as comfortable as possible for you." Vincent says lightly smiling still looking at the road in front of him.

"Brai…" Aurora faintly said she then smiles being fond of Vincent's same kindness he still has from back then. "Braixen." Aurora said in a confident tone.

"Heh-heh alright, my house isn't that far now," Vincent once again saw the same road he lived on driving up and going through the opening metal gates parking in his driveway. Aurora was in awe of the big home. "Well, here we are." Vincent then stepped out of the car helping Aurora out of the car with her following behind him to the front door. Vincent opens the door holding the door for Aurora. "This is it, my humble abode," Vincent then extends an arm out showcasing the entrance hall. "Hope you like it." Vincent said, looking over to the curious Braixen.

"Xen, Braixen!" Aurora held her paws and smiled at Vincent nodding.

"Would you perhaps like a tour?" Vincent smiled back at Aurora which made her blush.

"M-Mhmm!" Aurora hummed, nodding again.

"Well as you can see to our left is the kitchen so whenever I'm not here maybe you can find something to snack on." Vincent said, taking Aurora over to the kitchen and showing her all the possible snack choices. Vincent then took her to the lounge room.

"Then here is the lounge room, you can either watch TV or maybe read a book." Vincent showed Aurora the bookshelf standing tall by the wall with a variety of books.

"Braix…?" Aurora walked up to the bookshelf with curiosity, taking a book with her paw and opening it before Vincent could see the title. "Mmm… Xen…" Aurora was trying to sound out a word on the page she opened to.

"Whatcha reading?" Vincent then looked over Aurora's shoulder.

"Braixen?" Aurora then pointed to the word 'learn.'

"Learn? Do you want to learn how to read?" Vincent questioned.

"Mhm! Braixen!" Aurora nodded with a big smile

"How about we start when I come home from work tomorrow? Sounds good?" Vincent then pets Aurora's head making her blush.

"B-Brai!" Aurora said eagerly then leaning further into Vincent's hand.

"Tomorrow it is! How about I continue showing you around? Vincent said confirming and continuing the tour of his house with Aurora nodding as to agree. Vincent would then show the first-floor restroom and other rooms like the dining room, a guest bedroom, and a small library. Vincent then took her to show the remaining rooms upstairs.

"So we got at least three more rooms without counting the attic," Vincent said pointing at the ceiling which had an outline of a ladder with a pulley hanging down. Vincent then walked inside his office. "First is my office which I honestly don't use heh-heh…" Vincent rubbed the back of his neck. "If you want there is a computer so if you want to use it go ahead." Vincent then walked to his room. "Here's my room so If you ever need anything overnight you'll find me here," Vincent explained to Aurora who seemed to be lost in thought. "Aurora?" Vincent waved his hand in slow motion in front of the vixen's face. "You alright?" Vincent said in a worried tone.

"B-B-Brai! B-Braixen…" Aurora sheepishly smiled nodding while twiddling her fingers with a bright blush on her face.

"You might be tired huh? We have one more room left then I can prepare a room for you." Vincent then went to the last room that was slightly across his room, an empty bedroom with only a bare bed, dresser, and a standup mirror. "This room isn't as fancy as the others but it's a nice clean room," Vincent looked at Aurora who looked like she had stars in her eyes with her paws clasped together up to her chest fluff. "You like this room?" Vincent asked.

"Xen!" Aurora simply said with a nod.

"Glad you like it Aurora," Vincent smiled with Aurora looking away with a blush. "I'll go find some spare sheets and pillows for the bed, I'll be right back." Vincent then left Aurora alone with her thoughts and the quiet room.

"Braixen…" Aurora looked around the bare room and walked up to the mirror glancing at herself she then put a paw through the tuft of fur placing her paw over her heart. "Brai… Braixen." she then smiled confidently with determination then behind her she heard the door open spooking her and making strands of fur stick up upon hearing Vincent's voice.

"Hey Aurora, I'm back with some sheets and pillows," Vincent was carrying two pillows with sheets and a blanket, Vincent then looked over to Aurora realizing she had a shocked face along with her fur still sticking up. "Heh-heh… Sorry, I didn't mean to startle you" Vincent said apologizing.

"B-Braixen, xen…" Aurora tried to tell him it was alright despite the language barrier.

"I'm going to set up your bed now alright?" Aurora then walked up to Vincent, grabbing the pillows. "Oh, do you want to help?" Vincent asked.

"Mhmm!" Aurora hummed, then Vincent and Aurora together fixed the bed. After they were finished they gave each other high-fives.

"Thanks for your help Aurora, it means a lot to me." Vincent then pats her head.

"B-Braixen, B-Brai!" Aurora once again leaned forward into Vincent's hand enjoying his affection.

"I better get to bed now, you should too my little Braixen," Aurora blushed at Vincent's words. "Sweet dreams Aurora." Before Vincent could turn around Aurora hugged him nuzzling her blushing face into his chest and catching Vincent off-guard. Vincent then surrendered to the hug wrapping his arms around Aurora's back and slowly petting her; the only sound they could hear was their breathing all the while feeling their pacing heartbeats.

"Her fur is still incredibly soft from back then…" Vincent mentally said. After a minute of the silent hug, Vincent pulled away. "Thanks for that, I really needed a hug" Vincent then smiled at the flustered vixen. Aurora hid her face behind her ear tufts too embarrassed to say anything, yet she still had a small smile on her face. "I'm going to bed now alright? If you need help with something, remember you can always wake me up for anything." Aurora only nodded, still hiding her bright red flustered face. "Good night, Aurora." Vincent still smiled then exited the room closing the door behind him and proceeding to his room.

Vincent entered his room firstly changing into more comfortable clothes before laying down on his bed. "Jeez… Why is my heart beating so fast still?" Vincent's conscience questioned, Vincent couldn't get the thought of the sudden hug out of his head, why was his heart reacting this way over a hug? More thinking went through Vincent's mind before he brushed the thoughts away. "Ah whatever I can think about this another day I got work in the morning as well as teaching Aurora how to read can't be wasting rest over something so simple." Vincent fully closed his eyes to skip through the night and straight to the morning of the next day.
