An Envious Wolf Final Chapter

Summary: After discovering her girlfriend cheated on her, Bella reluctantly decides to spend her summer in Forks. It might not be such a bad decision after all.

Bella/Leah

"So, how is Leah?" Bella did not miss the scorn his tone held.

"I don't know what your problem with Leah is, but whatever it is, it will be best if you do not inquire about her. You have been nothing but contemptuous and disparaging every time someone mentions her name. She is my imprint, and if you are going to be disrespectful to her, don't do it in front of me if you value our friendship." Bella warned. This has been going on all summer, and Bella has had enough of his bullshit. Leah and Sam had sat her down and explained the situation. Jacob had no claim on her, and even if he had imprinted on her, their relationship would have been that of sibling love. Bella could not remember a time she wasn't attracted to women. Neither Charlie nor Renee had been the least bit surprised when she came out. Jake, though hadn't said a word to her about it.

"If your imprint has a problem, she can come and talk to me about it." He blustered.

"Leah doesn't give two shits about what you have to say. Your pettiness is beneath her. I am the one asking you to stop. I have politely asked you several times, but clearly, that was a waste of time." Bella threw her can of coke aside and stormed out of his garage. No one could accuse her of not trying to salvage their friendship. Billy had pleaded with her to be patient with Jake, give the boy time to get over his disappointment. It was clear, he had no intention of getting over anything. No, instead he was attacking Leah. What he hoped to gain from it, Bella had no idea nor did she care.

"Bells, I'm sorry." He ran after her.

"Go fuck yourself." The bite in her voice rooted him to his spot. She'd never responded this angrily before.

Billy watched as Bella stormed off towards the Clearwater's with a shake of his head. "I know, I know," Jake murmured as he saw his father's reaction to his actions. "I will apologize, and it will all be right as rain," Jake said flippantly. Having heard their argument, Billy knew this was the last straw where Bella was concerned.

Jacob soon learned when his numerous phone calls to Bella went unanswered. All attempts to see her also ended in failure. When Sam organized a bonfire to celebrate Jared's birthday, he saw it as his chance to talk to her. "Bells, what the fuck. I've been trying to call you for over a week now." He shouted angrily.

"Which part of go fuck yourself did you not hear?" Bella asked, barely looking at him.

"Are you serious?" He asked with a mirthless chuckle.

"Fuck off, Jacob. Is that serious enough for you?" Bella attempted to walk away. Jacob gripped her arm and dragged her back; she lost her footing and hit the sand. Leah was on him before he could do anything else.

"ENOUGH." Sam barked. Leah let go of Jacob, both on the verge of phasing. "Jake, you should know better than to grab another's imprint when they have made it clear they want nothing to do with you. You have outstayed your welcome. Leave." Sam ordered. Jacob glared at the lot of them, then his attention turned to Bella, who Leah was diligently looking over for any injuries.

"We will talk when you come to your senses." He threw at Bella, walking away.

"Over my dead body." Bella snarled. Jacob Black realized at that moment, not only had his plans to disparage Leah in Bella's eyes failed. He would have to work a little harder to earn back her friendship. Time for Plan B. Bella would be his if it was the last thing he did.

Charlie's jaw clenched in anger when he stared at the boxes in his hallway, Renée without a word, had packed Bella's stuff and shipped it. "Dad, it's fine." She meant it too. Her summer in Forks had been nothing short of brilliant. In truth, Bella had decided to stay in Forks; she had intended to ask Charlie to enroll her in high school for her senior year. She'd taken most of the summer to come to that decision. Thanks to Renee's selfishness, it was set in stone.

"This is wrong Bells, she should have had the decency to at least inform us. I suspected you might have wanted to stay, but still." Charlie groused. "Why don't you call your girlfriend to help you unpack. I will call Harold and get you enrolled." He grumbled as he settled in his favorite chair with the phone in hand.

Bella wasn't complaining, any excuse to spend time with Leah. She bolted to her room and grabbed her phone from the bedside table. "Hey babe, want to come and help me unpack?" Bella said the second Leah answered her call.

"Unpack what exactly." Bella smiled at the hope in Leah's voice.

"The rest of my things arrived this morning from Phoenix." She moved the phone away from her ear when Leah squealed in delight.

"Holy shit, Bells, that is the best news I've ever heard… well, second to you agreeing to become my girlfriend." Leah cheered. This part of Leah Clearwater was not one many people saw. Leah was seen as the loyal and uncompromising beta to Sam Uley. The two also happened to be the closest of friends. "I will be there in a couple of minutes." Bella laughed as the call ended. She fell on her bed with a smile a mile wide on her face; Renée had actually done her a favor. Bella had thought she would have to make the trip back to Phoenix to pack and ship her things, but now it was sorted. Bella felt like sending a sarcastic message thanking Renee. She knew it would go right over her head and actually think Bella was genuinely grateful for her actions. She couldn't help the scoff that left her as the doorbell rang.

She stood at the top of the stairs as Charlie opened the door. "Hey Leah, looking rather happy." Charlie teased.

"Uh-huh." Was Leah's only response, and she took the stairs two at the time to reach Bella. Bella dragged her to her room and shut the door.

"Open that door," Charlie yelled, earning a chuckle from both girls.

"I can't believe you are moving here for good," Leah murmured, her face buried in Bella's kneck.

"Let's get my things unpacked before you get carried away." Bella tried putting some space between the two.

"I'm a multitasker," Leah said as she held on tight, her lips trailing a path from Bella's kneck to her lips. Whatever protestation Bella had was swallowed up by the kiss. She gripped Leah's hair deepening the kiss; a loud moan left the she-wolf as she walked Bella back to her bed.

"I see the boxes are still here," Charlie shouted, putting an end to the kiss. Both giggled as they pulled away from each other.

Leah left Bella's on cloud nine, and it would take an invasion of leeches to bring her down. Her joy was soon snuffed out when Sam invaded her thoughts. "We need to talk, it's about Jacob, and it's not good."

"Let's meet at the usual place." She grumbled, shifting, and quickly got dressed. Sam showed up seconds later.

"Jake now wants his birthright," Sam mumbled.

"Bella," Leah said with a humorless chuckle. They had expected something, but she would admit this was not it. His position as alpha did not change the fact that Bella was her imprint, nor could he keep her away from Bella. Then it hit her. "He thinks he can use his position to separate Bella and me." Leah actually cracked up laughing.

"Well, I'm glad to see you find it amusing." Sam chuckled. He had expected her to go off on a rampage. The last couple of months with Bella had indeed mellowed Leah out, not that anyone knew that. "I've had all summer to prepare for something like this." He had not hidden his anger at her imprinting on Bella. In fact, his behavior has been so atrocious he has destroyed his friendship with Bella, who had been extremely patient with Jake much good it did her. Of course, he blamed Leah for it; as far as Jacob Black was concerned, Leah was responsible for every negative thing in his life. Even if he got Bella away from her by some miracle, Bella would still want nothing to do with him. A critical fact Jacob seemed to be either ignoring or had overlooked.

"So, you have no problem with me handing the reins over to him," Sam asked.

"None whatsoever." Leah chuckled.

The pack's unhappiness about the change in leadership could not be misconstrued. "Why now?" Quil asked, surprising everybody. "Last I checked, you wanted nothing to do with being the alpha, and just when we've got a routine down…" he growled, annoyed. Everyone had expected Quil and Embry to back Jacob without hesitation, but it seemed they were the most disgruntled. Neither Leah nor Sam was surprised. After all, their imprints, Lauren and Angela, were very close to Bella. She had told them everything about Jacob's behavior, information that certainly got back to both Quil and Embry.

Leah suspected they sided with Jacob initially, that was until they found their imprints. The two were at one point sympathetic to Jacob's feelings, he was alone, and that must be hard. They all were, but his actions made it hard to care anymore. The boy was being an asshole, plain and simple.

"It's my birthright," Jacob argued weakly.

"Yeah, whatever," Jared grumbled. "Are we done? I promised Kim I would help her clear her parent's backyard."

"Yeah," Jacob mumbled. He had expected some support, and the fact that not a single wolf had supported his claim hurt. Of course, he refused to recognize that his behavior over the summer was the cause.

"I guess this meeting is over." Sam murmured standing up.

"Erm, Leah, can I talk to you." Those words had not surprised her in the least. Most of the wolves hoped he was at least apologizing for his behavior. Soon it would become clear it was far from it.

Jacob Black expected his father to look at him with pride and admiration, not disgust with a hint of sadness. In fact, the whole mood in the council hall was somber, and the looks he was getting did not make sense. He happened to catch the smug look Leah was giving him, and the anger Bella was barely controlling, and his stomach sunk. Somehow Leah had managed to defy his alpha orders and told Bella everything. It was evident because Leah was standing close to Bella, not just standing close but had her arms around her. The other wolves heard his sudden rapid heartbeat, who had no knowledge of what had transpired. "What the fuck did you do?" Paul growled under his breath.

"I am deeply hurt and saddened by a recording I heard this morning." Billy barely managed to get the words out, his voice hoarse with grief. "I think it's best if I just play the recording." He mumbled, barely above a whisper.

"What did you want to talk about," Leah asked with a sigh.

"Nothing, you are simply going to listen. You will end your relationship with Bella…" Growls reverberated through the room. Jacob swallowed down the bile that had worked its way up.

"You will break her heart, and you will do it in the most hurtful manner imaginable. You will not tell anyone about this conversation; you will not think about it. The only thing you will think about is how better off you are without Bella. You will make it clear to everyone that Bella was better of with me after all. Is that understood?" There was no mistaking how triumphant he felt as he spoke.

"Yes," Leah answered without hesitation.

"I loved her before you even knew she existed." Jacob snarled. "You should have stepped aside; I don't give a shit about any fucking imprint. Bella is mine, and the minute you and your disgusting perversions are out of the way, she will see sense."

"Care to explain what we've just heard?" Old Quil asked. All Jacob could think about was why his alpha commands did not work. "Jacob." Old Quil barked, getting his attention. "Explain yourself."

"I've been in love with Bella since I was old enough to know what love was. I just wanted a chance…" His voice trailed off.

"And the fact she was already imprinted on meant nothing to you, so much so, you tried using an alpha order to separate them. Thank heavens, you had no idea that an alpha order did not work in regards to imprints." Jacob's eyes widened, and he actually had the audacity to glare at Sam. Sam glared back, disgust clear on his features.

"You fucking asshole." Bella snarled, and before anyone could comprehend what was happening, she had picked up a folded chair and crashed it against Jacob's head. The wolf in question fell to the ground holding his head. Leah managed to get the chair away from Bella before she brought it down on Jacob's head a second time. "I fucking hate you, you fucking piece of shit," Bella screamed. "You mean nothing to me. You mean less than the dog shit I scraped off the bottom of my shoe last week. Had you turned out to be my imprint, I would have headed back to Phoenix so fast it would have made your head spin. Thank heavens the spirits knew better. I wouldn't spit on you if you were on fire, more or less be your imprint." Bella was incandescent in her rage, and Leah loved every minute of it.

"I will be taking back the position of alpha. It's safe to say, no wolf here wants you as their alpha." Sam said as he stared down at Jacob, who had remained on the floor.

"We didn't before he pulled this shit. I knew something was up when he suddenly decided he was ready to be alpha." Jared groused.

The stench of humiliation clung to Jacob Black with no chance of abating. Staying on the res had become untenable. The meeting room emptied, leaving him on the floor as he ruminated on his failure. Both Sam and Leah had known what he planned from the get-go. It was why Sam had given up the position without argument and why Leah had said yes to a downright useless alpha command. Now Bella hated him; her words had hurt, but what hurt worse was the look of utter hatred in her eyes when she glared at him. Those warm brown eyes were cold when they turned in his direction. He'd always found a way to earn her forgiveness no matter his actions. This time, he knew it would not be possible. He had lost it all, and he knew…"

"Take a seat." Sam instructed. Jacob moved without hesitation. If he needed confirmation that he was longer the alpha, this was it. "I wish this could be a conversation between brothers because the truth is we had that conversation months ago." Sam sighed. He was in a precarious position. No one in the pack wanted Jacob around, and his horrendous actions could not be overlooked. "Did you truly believe Bella would have looked your way if Leah had broken her heart as you wished?" Jacob just stared at the ground. "Answer me." In the cold light of day, he was beginning to see the holes in his plan. Chances are Bella would have wanted nothing to do with the pack had Leah broken her heart in the manner he wanted. He had simply wanted to sully Leah in Bella's eyes and hadn't thought beyond the breakup of the two. He had not thought beyond his wants. Not even what Bella wanted mattered to him. He would like to think he would see his mistake eventually and correct it, but he knew better. What he would give to go back to the day Sam talked to him and listened.

"I will leave…"

"You will do no such thing. You are staying, and for the foreseeable future, you will patrol alone. You will attend all pack meetings and gatherings. That Jacob Black is your punishment." Jacob stared at Sam in horror. Spending time with the people he had hurt, who more likely didn't want him around, was horrifying.

"Sam."

"It's done. Go home." With that, Sam walked out, leaving a dejected Jacob staring after him.

"Food is ready, everybody," Emily called out.

"Why don't we head to Sam's while everyone is busy stuffing their faces," Bella murmured as her lips brushed over Leah's

"If we make a move towards the house, Charlie is going to come after me." She whispered. After all, there were people at the bonfire with incredible hearing.

"Is my fearless beta afraid of my dad?" Bella teased.

"No, there is a difference between fear and showing my imprint's father the respect due to him," Leah said haughtily.

"You are full of shit." Bella retorted. Those that could hear the exchange cracked up laughing. "Mind your own business," Leah growled, not that anyone paid attention to her.

"Well, you can feed me then, but later, I can guarantee you are eating me out later." Bella moaned, shutting down the laughter. Much to Leah's exhilaration, Paul started choking on his burger as Rachel rolled her eyes at him. Bella didn't miss the way Rachel's eyes would ocassionaly drift towards her brother's, and dim slightly. His actions had hurt so many, especially his family. The boy in question was sitting by Charlie and his dad, looking thoroughly dejected. It was hard to feel sorry for him when you remembered what he had intended to do.

"Of course, right this way," Leah said with an exaggerated bow. Bella laughed as she joined Lauren, Angela, and Jessica. Apparently, Jessica had had a temper tantrum about her two closest friends abandoning her. With the celebrations about Bella's permanent move to Forks, they felt it would be alright to invite her. With Jacob dealt with, they were sure no issues would arise.

Bella was pulled back to the conversation taking place next to her when she heard Edward Cullen's name.

"For the love of all that is holy, Edward Cullen is not a fucking God." Lauren sneered. She was getting tired of Jessica's obsession with the boy. Lauren had admitted, she'd admired their beauty and perfection until she imprinted on Quil and her eyes were opened. One minute the Cullens were the epitome of perfection. Next, all she could see was just how deadly they were. In truth, there had always been something off about them that made her wary.

Bella, on her part, like all the rest of the student body, had never had any interaction with the Cullens, and she would prefer it stayed that way. Unfortunately, she had also noticed their constant stares in her direction, especially the object of Jessica's affection. She feared it would not be long before he tried talking to her. Leah had assured her the treaty meant he would stay well clear of her, Bella though did not hold out much faith on him staying away.

Before she could add her two cents, she noticed Leah carrying a heaping plate of food towards her. "I hope that is a sharing plate," Bella said.

"It is." Leah laughed at her look of relief. Bella hated wasting food, and most of that would have gone to waste.

Bella watched as Leah studiously selected what she thought was the best of everything and put it aside for Bella. She was used to it at this point and didn't argue the point anymore.

Oh god, fuck… Leah… oh." She gripped Leah's air as Leah's tongue relentlessly fucked her. The she-wolf's tongue was unremitting in its determination to bring her lover pleasure. Her fingers curled inside Bella, brushing against that spot that made it near impossible for her to stay on her feet. Leah slowed when she realized was Bella close to her release. The growl that left the human amused Leah greatly, who chuckled as her three fingers slowly pumped in and out of Bella. "Leah… please." Her voice was barely coherent in such a state. Having mercy on Bella, she increased the speed, her fingers becoming resolute in its action. Just when Bella thought it couldn't get any better, Leah's tongue again joined the action, sucking merciless on Bella's clit. She felt her toes curl, her legs starting to shake as her orgasm crept up on her. "Fuuuck." She damn near screamed as she came. Leah held on fast, her tongue drawing out Bella's release.

Leah gently removed Bella's leg from her shoulder, holding on as it was clear Bella could not hold herself up.

"Fuck, babe, that was…" Bella mumbled, still breathing heavily.

"I know." She purred proudly. Bella was too far gone to adequately roll her eyes. "Come on, let's get back before Charlie notices our absence. With her imprint's hand in her's they made their way to the bonfire. Leah kept an eye on Bella in case she tripped. There was barely any visibility in the woods.

"That tree has all of a sudden become my favorite." Bella teased. Leah laughed, knowing the human could no more tell the difference between the tree she'd been fucked against and any other in the forest. Leah, though, would be able to tell, which put quite the smile on her face. God, they could be such dogs sometimes.

"God, I hate Mondays." Bella groaned, stumbling out of her truck. After the weekend she'd had, she truly loathed having to spend several hours away from Leah. From the corner of her eyes, she caught Edward Cullen walking toward her. Well, fuck.
