"That was a fun duel," said a young boy as he gathered his cards into a pile and arranged them into a single deck. "I never thought I'd get the chance to duel someone of your skill level. I saw your duel with Insector Haga on TV the other day; it was great!"

Ryuuzaki sneered. "Whatever."

"Anyway, thanks for dueling me, it was fun. Of course, if I'd just drawn my best card, then you would've been in trouble." Ryuuzaki rolled his eyes. "I'll see you around?"

"And where do you think you're going?"

The boy turned, blinking. "I'm sorry...did you want to duel again? I'd love to, but I have to get home, so..."

Before he could finish, Ryuuzaki snatched the deck from his hands.

"Hey...!"

"I think you owe me something."

"W-What?"

"Your rarest card. Loser forfeits his rarest card."

"Wha...I never agreed to that!"

Ryuuzaki laughed. "You said you wanted to be like me, didn't you? Wanted to play like a pro-league duelist? That means you gotta play by pro-league rules."

"But..."

Ryuuzaki ignored his feeble protests as he continued to shuffle through the deck. Weakling, weakling, weakling, wea—wait a second...what was this?

"Red Eyes Black Dragon?" he read in disbelief. "You mean to tell me that you have a Red Eyes?"

The boy's eyes widened.

"W-wait a minute..."

Ryuuzaki whistled loudly. "Well, well, it looks like I've won something of merit after all," he said smugly, snatching the precious card from the deck and shoving the rest of the rejects into his opponent's hands.

"Wait! Give that back, it's mine!"

Ryuuzaki chuckled, waving the card in his face. "You'll get this back when you learn to play a decent duel, Kid," he said, then slid the card into his pocket and walked away, humming to himself.

"Smell you later!"

He stood there in utter shock, watching Ryuuzaki leave. It was gone...his treasure was gone! Just like that! It wasn't fair...

As he fell to his knees, Shogo could do nothing more than sit down and cry.

I apologize to all the Ryuuzaki fans out there.
