Wind, Sand, and Stars
A collection of drabbles—exactly one hundred words—about various characters from various books.
Because I love L.M. Montgomery, her books, and especially her characters and her language. Title is borrowed from the beautiful book by Antoine de Saint-Exupery (the man who wrote The Little Prince).
Disclaimer: I do not own any of L.M. Montgomery's creations, nor any of the books or characters hijacked herein, nor am I making any money off of this writing.

The Sun If by Day…
She's so bright, so shining, like she is the sun, exploding with fire: beauty, temper, talent.
It scared him, when they were together, so different from Emily's constant moonlight. It's why he picked her: the sun overshadows the moon.
But the moon is still there, turning the tides.
There were days when she was calmer, like sunlight through mist, but after the fog, the sun is more brilliant in its fury. And he was scared that one day she would burn herself away, explode into a starburst of shattered light and fire torn asunder.
He prefers to travel by night.
