Sometimes, House liked the cane. Well, perhaps like was too strong of a word. More tolerated, in a halfway congenial fashion. It could be useful, after all.
You could use it to hit particularly annoying or dense people. It became quite a formidable weapon when swung with enough force. (Upper body strength was not something House was lacking.)
You could use it to poke people too far away to reach without getting up. You could use it as a distraction, when you were thinking, or bored.
There were other, more interesting uses as well, like using it to pin Wilson to the wall so he didn't squirm while you were ravishing him…
Yes, sometimes House rather liked the cane.
