One Shot—The Naval Base—Part Two

A/N: For those that read the first part of the one shot, I had some thoughts on continuing it. It's not too long an update, but this is just to relax my mind while I take a break on Love Beyond the Scars. I will post an update to that next weekend. If you read the first part of this story, happy reading part two. Please, if you can, leave a review. Thank you and stay safe.

Olivia peeked into Brielle's room. Her little girl was tossing and turning, when she should have been asleep hours ago. Something was on her mind, and Olivia tapped the door to let her five-year-old know she was coming in.

"Hey, Boo, what's going on, why can't you sleep? I thought when I left you before you were almost out. What is on your mind?" Olivia was rubbing her forehead, trying to comfort her.

"Daddy isn't here. He's always here when I go to sleep to tell me a story. Why isn't he here tonight mommy? Is he on a plane going to the war? Liza is in my class and her daddy is a Marine, she said he had to leave last month and go fight in a war. I am scared daddy has to do that too." Brielle's brown eyes were staring wide eyed back at her mother. She sat up and held her arms out to be hugged.

Olivia gobbled up the little girl in her arms, picking her up to her lap. She began to slowly rock her cuddling her close to her chest. "No sweetie, your dad didn't go to fight in a war. That's not his job. His job is to make sure anyone who does go fight in the war is well prepared. He makes sure the airplanes are safe and the Navy pilots who go over are trained properly to fly them. Does that make any sense?"

Olivia felt Brielle's little head nod that she understood. "Why isn't he home then mommy? He always tells me a story before I go to bed."

She was so curious and always so alert to things going on around her. Olivia was so proud of her independence but sometimes wished she didn't worry so much for such a young girl. "Well, there have been problems over where the soldiers are so daddy is going to stay later for a few nights to make sure everything is ok. It really is nothing to worry about honey, you are safe here, so is daddy and mommy. I can tell you a story if you would like. What would you like to hear?"

Brielle climbed out of Olivia's lap. She placed her head back on her unicorn pillowcase covered pillow. She pulled her little "Tiger", the one Fitz won for her three years ago at the fair in Virginia close to her. Liv cringed when she looked at that thing. It was so worn, but it was her comfort and she only slept with it now. For two years, Brielle wouldn't let it out of her sight. The poor stuffed animal was showing it's wear and tear. "Can you tell me what happened after you and daddy left the cemetery where Grandpa Gerry is? Remember? He told me the story of when you met."

"Of course, Boo, I can do that." Of course, Olivia would leave out the adult parts, as Fitz had done when he told her the story of when they met. Liv took a deep breath, remembering the days after finding Fitz again and began to tell the story.

Six years ago

Fitz grabbed Liv's hand and led her to the town car. He instructed the driver to head back to the hotel where he was staying. Liv sat quietly next to him in the back seat. She really didn't know what to say. They had spent one beautiful night together, but since that night, she couldn't take her mind off him.

She glanced over at him. He looked as though he was in mental pain, having just buried his father. His jaw was clenched, his hair a bit wet from sweating, standing in the hot sun in the cemetery, and his hands were resting in his lap. He was staring out the window watching the buildings as the car passed each one.

Olivia looked down at her hands. She had felt embarrassed having told him that she lied about who she was. In her defense, though, he had done the same thing. It really didn't matter to her, the feelings she had for him wouldn't change just because his name did. While she was looking at her hands, his went over hers and he gripped them.

She looked back over at him, and he had moved closer to her. When she turned her head, they were inches apart. He looked, sadly, into her eyes. "I dreamed about you every night, Livvie. From the moment I left the base until today when I saw you again, you are all I could think about. Even my father dying, I dreamed you were by my side. I will be completely honest, I fell in love with you that night, and I never thought I would ever see you again."

Before she could respond to his words, his lips covered hers, and she melted with his touch. Her hands reached up around his back, and he pushed his body, so now she was in the corner of the back seat, their tongues dancing with one another and Liv could feel her body responding in such a sexual desire for him.

The car came to a stop in front of the Ritz Carlton. Fitz pulled back, let the driver open his door and he led Liv out, through the lobby, and up to the presidential suite on the top floor. Once the door closed, Liv looked around. Fitz's hand went to her chin. He turned her face to him. "Wait for me, I just need to change out of uniform." He placed a gentle kiss on her lips, and she walked over to the desk and sat down.

He came out of the bedroom, wearing his NAVY t shirt she had met him in and just his boxer shorts. She stood up as he entered, and he walked over to her smiling. "You know, I am missing one of my NAVY t shirts, you wouldn't know anything about that would you?"

Liv's head bowed down in shyness. She shrugged. "I may have taken it, putting it in my purse accidentally." Liv slept in it every night, until she wore out his smell from it. Then she just kept it in her drawer as part of her t shirt wardrobe.

"An accident, huh? I could have you arrested for stealing, but then that would mean I wouldn't see you again, while you made your home in a prison." He joked.

"It was the only piece of you I had left. I had the shirt and the note, that was it. I thought of you just as much as you thought of me. I did try to call the base, several times. Admiral Thomas didn't exist. So, I guess you had the same reasons to lie as I did."

Fitz nodded. He too felt embarrassed not being up front with her when they met. He never thought he would fall as hard as he would for her, but he did, and he was so sorry for doing what he had done.

"Let's talk after." He said.

"After what?" She asked.

Fitz didn't answer with words. He grabbed the dress she was wearing by the skirt. Having noticed it had no buttons or zippers, and in one motion pulled it over her head. There she stood, unashamed, in a black lace, strapless bra and black lace underwear. Fitz took a step back just admiring her body. He shook his head in disbelief. "You are so beautiful Olivia, so beautiful, and I am sorry I never got to taste you that night."

Liv closed her eyes as he approached her, and kissed her neck first, nibbling at her skin and working his way down. He reached her stomach and put warm kisses all around her navel, and she felt him wrap his hands on her ass and lift her in the air. She gripped the back of his neck for leverage, and he carried her to the bedroom.

The king size bed was soft and welcoming as he lay her down and pulled down her black lace panties. Before he did anything else, she felt his lips on hers. "I. Want. To. Make. You. Feel. So. Good." He said each word as he kissed down, releasing her bra on her left breast and took it her mouth. Liv's head went back in weakness, and he kissed his way down to her inner thigh where she felt her underwear come off.

She felt his warm tongue, after his kiss on her clit. She had nothing to do except put her hands on his large biceps and simply go with the feeling. He was so gentle, so soft, as his tongue gently caressed her all around. He made his way towards her entry and before he continued, he said in a whisper, "you taste so good."

Liv's eyes remained closed the whole time. The feelings this man brought out in her, she was lost. Her thoughts went back to the night, and she remembered him inside her. She began to moan, as his words kept playing over in her mind.

She felt him grab her hips and pull her closer, diving his tongue deeper in to her and then release to slide it up. Liv couldn't take it much longer. Her desire for him growing deeper her need for him, what she's missed for almost a month, came crashing back. She gave one louder moan, and Fitz never let his mouth or tongue stop.

She gripped his hair as her orgasm hit, and while her body was still coming down from it, he wasted no time to put himself deep inside her. Liv opened her eyes, and he was staring down at her, as he thrusted slowly, but deeply in and out.

She pulled him down to her lips, using her tongue in his mouth to stifle the moans, her body still trying to recover from the first climax. Fitz pressured down on her mouth and Liv was completely lost in this kiss. She had never felt what she was feeling for anyone like she was feeling for him.

As Fitz kept on thrusting, he picked his head up to look at her. She closed her eyes once again, as she felt her body weakening once again. "Livvie, open your eyes, look at me Livvie, let me see what I've missed. Let me see those eyes."

Liv's face weakened and she scratched his back, unknowingly, as her body shivered under him. Watching her reach her climax, and feeling himself so deep inside her, Fitz gave a final moan and finished, holding their position for a few moments before releasing.

They lay in silence for a few minutes. Then Fitz said "You are still amazing. I hope you feel what I feel for you."

She knew she did, but she couldn't bring herself to say it, not just yet. She stared at the ceiling and took a hard swallow. "I was in the relationship with Russ for 3 years. It was horrible. It was one fight after another. We were just so toxic to one another. The day I wanted to break it off with him, he got down on one knee to propose to me. I couldn't commit myself to him. I never loved him, and he knew it."

When Fitz didn't respond, she continued. "That night we met, I had set out with my two friends just to be someone else for one night. When I met you, first saw you, you made my heart skip a beat. After we made love, the feeling I had was amazing. In my three years with him, I never once felt what I felt with you. I figured we would meet up at the bar later and the truth would come out. Abby got sick and needed to get back to see a doctor, so we never made it back to the bar."

"Abby?" Fitz asked. "I only remember Lindsey and Amanda, which one was Abby?"

Liv laughed. "Abby was the redhead. The one who couldn't talk because she was so drunk."

"Ahh, I see. Well, if you asked any one of those Navy soldiers in the bar, they would have told you what a playboy I was. I didn't love women and leave them; it wasn't like that. Women…. well….dating never came difficult for me. I didn't want to walk away and then you asked someone about Admiral Grant, and you heard it from someone else, so I disguised my name."

Liv turned to face him now and watched as he continued. "I left that morning to do my lecture and I got the news about my father. They had gone to clear out the cabin but when I didn't hear anything about you being there, I figured you had left already. Like you, I thought we would meet up at the bar and the truth would come out."

"I guess we both made poor assumptions. We were headed to DC to start a business with a friend. We saw the news story about your father on television and found out where the burial would be and now, here we are." Liv stopped as he turned and faced her.

''I guess it was meant to be then. I had tried so hard to find Carolyn Perkins. I am not the one to chase women and look for them, but here I was looking up every Carolyn Perkins, none as beautiful as you."

"So, we can't live on love making alone, as good as you are at it, so what now?" Liv blinked as she waited for an answer.

"We get to know one another. Let's start there. What would you like to eat? I will order room service and we can just stay here tonight." Fitz picked up the phone and ordered the food.

After dinner, they sat up talking until the early hours of the night. Liv found out Fitz wasn't sad about his father. They didn't have a good relationship. They respected one another, having both been officers in the Navy. Fitz felt his father felt a bit of jealousy that Fitz made the ranking of Admiral, something his father never accomplished. Rather than be proud of his son, he was bitter.

Fitz found out Liv had a good relationship with her parents, but they only spoke on the phone. They had retired and moved overseas to Italy. They didn't settle down in one city yet as they were still touring the country. She usually spoke to them once a month.

By 2 am, they were both exhausted. They had made plans to go meet up at Huck's office and she could formally introduce Fitz to her friends. Afterwards they would spend the day on the National Mall taking in the sights of DC.

Liv woke up, having fell asleep topless, feeling gentle rubbing on her back. She was lying on her stomach, and Fitz couldn't help but feel her smooth brown skin. She was perfection. When he saw her eyes open, he said "Hi." Good morning gorgeous, how did you sleep?"

Liv didn't want him to stop rubbing her back. "Hi" she repeated back. "Keep doing that, that feels so good, Fitz. I slept fine. Best night of sleep I've had in a month. It was nice not to only dream of you, it felt good knowing you are now my reality."

"Abby, if you don't close your mouth, something is bound to fly into it, will you stop." Abby couldn't stop staring at Fitz. "You're going to embarrass Olivia." The last thing Quinn wanted was Liv to be embarrassed after thinking about him for so long.

Abby blinked. She snapped out of it after Liv had introduced Huck to Fitz and Abby saw them head towards them in the conference room. Abby jumped up. "Hi Admiral, how are you?"

Liv smiled. "Actually, Abby, it's Lt. General now." Liv said proudly as she rubbed his arm.

"Wow," Abby said, "and who took your place as Admiral, is he as hot as you because I would love to meet him."

Liv looked at Quinn for some help. Quinn swallowed and said "Hey, General, um, so are you in DC for good?"

Fitz shook his head, "Yeah, I have a job now with the Pentagon. I am assisting with the conflict overseas in Iraq and Afghanistan. I am overseeing the aircraft designs and giving lectures to the pilots."

Fitz looked back at Abby. "So, I take it things didn't work out with Captain David?"

Abby looked confused at first then she laughed. She waved her hand. "Oh, him, yeah, he never called." She shrugged. "His loss."

Quinn laughed. "You think I actually gave him your number?"

"Bitch," Abby snapped back.

"At your service." Quinn answered.

"Ok," Liv grabbed Fitz's arm. "We are headed around town to the National Mall. I already cleared it with Huck. I'll be gone for a few days. You girls play nice while I'm gone."

"Bye ladies." Fitz said as he and Liv headed out.

They had a great time having started with MLK Memorial and ending at the Lincoln Memorial. They walked around and found a small pub to have some fries and burgers. Liv couldn't remember the last time she felt so carefree, and Fitz was so comfortable with Olivia.

On their way back to the hotel, Fitz admitted to her what he did to the three women the night they met. 'You see, I am not proud of it, but that's what it was like for me. The reason I am telling you is because I am done with that. It's just you now Livvie." As they were walking, he leaned in and kissed her cheek.

When they got back to the hotel, they took a shower, and just as the first night they spent together, they took a shower together. It was just as sexy and hot as the first time, washing each other's hair and kissing and feeling one another through the steam.

When they were dried off, looking at the view out the window, Fitz asked her. "Come with me tomorrow. I am heading to Silver Spring in Maryland to look at houses. I would love your input." Fitz waited anxiously for her answer.

Present Day

"So that's where we live now, right Mommy? I live at 236 13th Street in Silver Spring, Maryland.

"Yes, you do, Boo. You are so smart." Liv said, as she rubbed her nose.

"This is where daddy asked you to marry him right?"

'Right again Boo, right out there in the backyard. But that is a story for another night ok. You need to get to sleep."

"Oh, I can't wait, can daddy tell me that story? Do you think I will meet a prince like daddy?" Brielle asked through her long yawn.

"I am certain you will meet your prince one day if that's what you want, Boo." Liv looked at Brielle who had finally turned her head and her eyes were closed.

Liv took a deep breath. She stood up, after lifting the covers to Brielle's shoulders, and walked over to her dresser. She picked up the picture of her family. Her, Fitz, and Brielle all smiles. Brielle with her arms around the two of them as they both held her up in between. Brielle's cheeks connected to both of theirs. God, how Liv loved that picture.

"Hey beautiful", Fitz's words startled her. "Is Brielle ok?" He walked towards Liv in the room.

"Yeah, she was missing her daddy tonight, so I had to tell her the story of what happened after we left the cemetery. I stopped before we found the house, so it's your turn next."

Fitz walked over and pulled Liv into a hug. "Remember what we did after I told Brielle the story about how we met? Can we repeat that? I will get in bed first if that helps." Fitz leaned in to kiss her.

"Fitz, that was three months ago."

"Yeah, and?" Fitz continued to kiss her on both her cheeks and stopped to wait for an answer.

"And, in six more months, you're going to have another child to tell stories to, because of that night three months ago." Liv smiled ear to ear and rested her head on his shoulder.

He pulled her from him and looked at her, mouth wide open. "Liv, you're?..."

She nodded in pure happiness, "pregnant" she finished.

"I knew we picked the four bedroom house for a reason," Fitz said as he scooped Liv up kissing her all the way back to their bedroom.

Before they entered the bedroom, Liv stopped the kiss. She looked deeply into his eyes. "I love you so much General Grant."

"And I love you, Carolyn Perkins." They both laughed.

They were laying happily in the bed, Fitz's hand rubbing Liv's stomach, as they fell asleep, no doubt dreaming of the addition they would soon have to their little, but growing family.

A/N: So obviously there will be more to come, but this was on my mind, so I wanted to update it. I hope you enjoyed the read. Thank you.
