Sundays: The Day That They Judge Their Life Choices

By: M14Mouse

Summary: Every Third Sunday, Vlad and Shouta have a long-standing coffee date where they bitch about the students, other teachers, and crazy villains.

Disclaimer: Don't own them.

"So…do I ask about the giant hole on the side of your students' dorm?" Vlad said as he took a sip of the best coffee in the world.

It was their long-standing coffee date. It wasn't too close or too far from campus. It had the best coffee and baked goods on this side of town. It was the one day out of the month that they carve out for themselves aways from their families, friends, patrols, and school duties to allow themselves to bitch about their students, their principal, their crazy ass villain attacks, and their fellow teachers. Sometimes, they will talk about their newest heroes who try to make their lives difficult or cases that they are working on.

Mostly, it is their students and their co-workers.

Shouta sighed as he set down his cup on the table.

"You should ask your problem child."

He frowned.

"Midoriya wasn't even in your dorms. He was studying with his friends," He noted.

"It is always your problem child's fault," Shouta remarked.

"How?"

"He gave them ideas."

He grumbled. He wasn't going to argue there. Midoriya is very intelligent (whoever wrote in his school records that said he was slightly above average is a liar). His little hellion's brain is always thinking and he always seems to have some idea to do with quirks.

He may or may not be slightly smug about beating Class 1-A because of that brain.

They are working on the mumbling. It isn't a bad thing for your allies to hear your thoughts. The same can't be said for the villains you fight.

"How…?"

"I have no idea. He gave them that feral kitten look when he told them his idea. They follow it"

"My hellion isn't a feral kitten. He is more of a puppy."

"Feral kitten."

"Puppy."

"King, I saw your student perch on a pole with the feral kitten look while glowing green. So, feral kitten."

He frowned.

"Okay…I'll give you that. Still…I'm not sure how that apply to your students doing stupid crap?" He said.

"Will you tell the kitten no?" Shouta mumbled.

"….Midoriya isn't a kitten…"

"No, he is a problem child."

He rolled his eyes.

"He is a good kid that draws people in and treats everyone with respect. We know how it is as much as we try as teachers. There are divisions and rivals between the departments. Midoriya has no problems making friends from different departments even if I wish it wasn't the explosion girl and the management girl with questionable connections."

"That is Exoplasm's problem child," Shouta remarked.

"And he's sort of smug about it," He said.

"Unlike Power Loader….I know that he isn't just drinking coffee in that mug. Probably whiskey. I heard him say once that it was non-alcoholic Irish coffee. I'm not sure who he is trying to fool."

"Not us and as long as the principal has no problem…then we shouldn't worry about it. Besides, I think that he needs it more than us," He grumbled.

"Until tomorrow," Shouta mumbled.

"I believe that was All Might's idea."

"All Might can be an idiot."

"He is trying. He has been reading up and taking classes. Hell, remember our first years as teachers? You kicked out everyone in your class before the first day of class," He said with a laugh.

"I still do that."

"Shouta…you don't do it as much anymore. Only two this year. That is a record."

"…And you and your bleeding heart."

"Okay…I have one especially for the kids. Our jobs aren't easy. We are training some of these kids who don't have a choice in an occupation but to be a hero or a villain. Blood quirks freak people out. I lost count on how many people called me a freak or vampire. Your quirk scares people because a quirk has become a crutch."

Shouta sighed.

"I'm not going to deny that. Still you could be a little harder on them."

"You don't have to be an asshole to yours."

"Different opinions. Besides causing havoc in my class, your problem child can float now? When did this happen?"

He sighed.

"During his internship and…every damn time he is happy which is a lot. We are trying meditation and mindfulness. It works…for the most part. You're going to add your name and quirk to the current betting pool?"

"Of course. Teleportation. Not that he needs…bounces around like a damn feral bunny. What happened to the management one we had?" Shouta grumbled.

"Still going. Midnight says we should be eying some third years. Exoplasm says that a few first years have a good solid business plan. It should be interesting. Mine is some type of radar…at least, I hope there is one because the hellion needs for how much trouble he gets into," He mumbled.

Shouta chuckled.

Evil bastard.

"You choose the problem child."

"Well…I'd rather have him than the explosive kid. That kid is on the path of being another Endeavor."

Teachers spend 4 days looking over students: General Education, Support, Hero, and Management. While they may not teach them in their specialties, they do have some of these kids for general education. They get to spend hours going over their classes. Who to keep? Who to reject? Who can be the maybe? Who would be better suited for this track? Did they have alternate routes? Shouta almost put Midoriya in General Education because of his lack of control. He took him instead because he had been there. He lost count on how much blood he lost and how many trips to the hospital because of his control.

How he struggled with control…How….

Shouta's voice cut into his thoughts.

"He is actually getting better…marginally. He is working with others now which is impressive."

"If you say so…"

He guessed that Shouta had a point. The explosive kid seemed to have his act together a little more during their annual class versus class thing.

At least, no one got injured unlike before.

"So, the giant hole in the wall?" He asked.

"As it was explained to me, your problem child suggested something about Kirishima hardening one part of his body instead his whole body would make that part more durable."

"Well? Did it work?"

"Somewhat….he couldn't focus that long but still enough to make a hole in the wall."

"…."

"I told you…problem child."

"Still isn't his fault."

"His madness spreads."

He rolled his eyes at Shouta's comment.

"And yet…You haven't kicked him out."

"Eri likes him."

He smirked behind his coffee.

"You like the hellion."

"I know where all of my problem children are when he is around," Shouta said.

"And mine…"

Shouta snorted.

"Which explains the fireworks incident…"

"Which wasn't my hellions' fault."

"No…it was the damn explosive girl and her inventions."

He hid his face behind his cup. He didn't want to give Shouta the bad news that he heard about Midoriya's drafts and the management girl's statistics on its success rate.

"Think of this way…you are prepared for next year when we have the explosive kid and management kid in our classes."

"No."

"Yes."

"No. I will resign."

"I don't think Nedzu will take it. Hell, I tried once when they rigged the sprinkler system," He remarked.

"I know," Shouta sighed.

"This is why we spent our third Sundays questioning our life choices." He chuckled

"We need to start making better ones."

"Probably. At this rate, it isn't going to be some villain."

"It is going to be our problem children that bring us down."

"Probably. At least, everyone is going down with us."

Shouta cracked a small smile.

"Agreed."
