CHAPTER 2: THE HALE'S
The Hale's were a large family in Beacon Hills preserve. They had lived there for many generations without really any problems, until six years ago. In the late evening when almost everyone was at home or just coming home, smoke could be seen rising from the preserve in the direction of the hale house. It wasn't till about an hour and half later that my dad got the call that would change four people's lives forever.
That night when my dad left with a grimm expression on his face I knew it was going to be a long night. What I didn't know was that the fire that I had heard my dad talking on phone about was actually a house fire. That night the Hale family was wiped out by an unknown arsonist. My dad had suspected foul play was involved but couldn't prove it. So now all that remained of the Hale's was a man named Peter who was stuck in the long term care ward at the hospital, a 18 year old Laura and brother Derek, and the youngest hale a girl named Cora. Laura and Derek left after making sure there uncle was taken care of at the hospital unknowingly leaving Cora to fend for herself.
Now six years and a body later the last male heir of the hale family has returned, thinking he is all alone. So he thinks.
CHAPTER 3: WHAT'S GOING ON WITH ME Purview "What is that smell?" I asked Scott when I got to school the next morning, he paused and looked up from where he was chaining up his bike and asked what I was talking about. I just looked at him and said "you can't smell that?" he looks at me like i'm crazy and says "what smell? I don't smell anything other than the usual high school smells".
