This is the next arc people. This chapter is not really going to have any action in it, but it will be adding stuff into the story that will take place in future chapters. I hope you guys enjoy it, and I do not own anything in this chapter.

"How much longer do we have to wait for the plane to get us to New York?" An orange hair male teen asks impatiently.

"If you paid attention, we would be landing in just a few minutes!" A blue haired girl angrily replies back at the teen as she turns around in her seat to look at the orange teen behind her.

"Don't try to endorse it Debbie. Howard is just letting out his frustration since he was denied traveling the NYC as my partner." A purple haired male teen tells her. "Besides I would complain too if I wasn't threatened with detention."

"I thought both of you were threatened with detention." Debbie counters narrowing her eyebrows at the purple haired teen.

"We are, but you know how Howard tends to make things overdramatic." The teen explains shaking his hands in the air in a dramatic fashion.

"I do not make things overdramatic." Howard replies instantly pointing his thumb at him. "I was thinking rationally for our need Cunningham. It's always been you and me not you and Theresa."

"You should be happy you were able to come at all." Cunningham counters at his best friend. "You almost blew it when you thought it would be a great idea to miss school to go see the new Grave Puncher movie, and you didn't even invite me to join you!"

"I was going to, but you were distracted with your 'extra-curricular' activities." Howard says putting up quotes when he says 'extra-curricular.' He crosses his arms over his chest and looks out the window. "You were probably going to shoob it up anyway."

Cunningham and Debbie roll their eyes at Howard's mood and go back to what they were doing. "Hey Randy," the purple teen looks back up in front of him to see a teen in a cheerleader outfit smiling at him, "are you excited to look around New York?"

Randy Cunningham smiles at Theresa and puts his right hand on his chest. "You bet the ninja I am. The ninja might be only local in our hometown, but you know what I mean."

"What do you want to see when they allow us to go sight-seeing."

Randy taps his chin and looks up in thought. "Honestly, the main things I'm excited to see are the superheroes like: Ironman, Phantom, Angelic Code, and people like them."

"Can't argue with that reason." Howard cuts in getting the two to glance at him. He elbows Randy playfully and says, "We've been planning to see at least one of those heroes before we head back to Norisville, and I do not want that to be the one who doesn't see one."

"You do know the chance of seeing them in action is incredibly small." Debbie points out without turning back around in her seat.

"That might be true, but it would be worth the trip to see one of them. Right Cunningham?" Howard asks his best friend.

Randy chuckles and puts his fist out to his best friend. "You got that right buddy."

"Oh yeah!" Howard gives his best friend a fist bump followed by their signature movements of their "handshake" while staying in their seats.

"This trip is going to be so bruce!" Randy says putting his hands up in the air with his index finger and pinky out on both hands.

"Still wish we were partners though."

Theresa rolls her eyes at their behavior and sits back down on her seat with a smile on her face. She looks over at Debbie as Debbie stares at Theresa questionably. "Why did you volunteer to be Randy's partner? You know that I wanted to team up with you and find those heroes without anyone bothering us." Debbie asks her best friend.

Theresa waves it off with a small smile. "Relax, if Howard wants to see those heroes, then you should be just fine. Besides, I actually want to talk Randy about some things."

Debbie blinks a couple times processing the words Theresa just said and smirks when she catches the real meaning. "You're planning on asking him out on a date, aren't you?"

"It is supposed to be 'are you not,' but yes, I want things to go in that general direction if Randy is willing to." Theresa admits sighing happily.

"I still don't have a clue what you see in him." Theresa giggles in response getting Debbie to roll her eyes at her best friend's behavior.

"We can still ditch the girls to find the heroes." Howard whispers to his best friend.

Randy puts his right hand in front of Howard and says, "Normally I would agree, but you are already five detentions away from getting expelled from school, and we cannot risk it no matter how bruce our situation is."

Howard sighs in defeat and leans back on his seat. "Fine, but you can't leave Theresa alone to go ninja. The nomicon cannot distract you this time, because Theresa does not know about your secret."

Randy hears the nomicon in his bag and pulls it out of his bag. "I'll be right back." Randy tells his best friend. He opens the book and immediately groans as his mind goes into the nomicon and his face slams into the nomicon.

Howard stares at his best friend and looks out the window of the plane just in time to see the city come into view. 'You better hurry Cunningham. We're almost there.'

Randy falls through the nomicon and lands on his feet right on a flower field. "Oh yeah, I landed that one." He says before looking at his surroundings. He stops when he sees five gem stones lying out on five separate tree stumps in front of him and raises an eyebrow in confusion. "Ok, I'm seriously confused about this one."

"That is because I never revealed anything about the gems."

Randy turns around to find the first ninja walking up to him and asks, "Ok, what's all this about then?"

The first ninja stands next to Randy looking over the five gem stones. "These gem stones you see here are known as the elemental gem stones."

Randy turns around and raises an eyebrow at the first ninja. "Ok, what do you mean exactly?"

"You do know about the five elements, right?" The first ninja asks the current ninja holder.

Randy taps his chin in thought and says, "Uh, are those water, fire, wind, earth, and lightning?"

"Close, but they're actually fire, water, earth, air, and metal."

"Oh, I always thought…"

"You never really knew, correct?" The first ninja asks getting Randy to smile and shrug nervously. "I should have guessed since it isn't taught to many people in your time."

Randy turns his attention back to the gem stones on the tree stumps and asks, "What were you going to tell me about these gems?"

'He actually seems interested in this story.' The first ninja thinks feeling a little proud of how far Randy has come to his duties as the ninja. "The five elemental gems are not ordinary gems ninja. They are the carriers of the five major elements that we just talked about."

"Wow," Randy looks at the gems wondering how much power they have behind them, "that's actually pretty cool."

"Cool, but it is extremely dangerous. The five elemental stones have the power to transform a normal person into a ninja."

"Wait, they could become a ninja like me?!" Randy yells surprised by the sudden information.

The first ninja sighs, "Yes, but what I'm about to tell you is complicated."

"How complicated is this story going to be, since I don't have much time left on the plane before we land in New York?" Randy points out.

The first ninja rubs his chin in thought. 'He's right. I should have pulled him in earlier to explain everything properly.' "Then I guess your plans for New York will have to wait, but I don't mean in the nomicon."

"What are you telling me?"

"The story is a long story ninja, and everything connected to it will be a long road for you and the friends you will make in the future."

"Now I'm just confused." Randy admits scratching his head in confusion.

"You'll understand later, but when you find the time, I will need you and your friend to find the Sanctum Sanctorum."

"The what now?"

The first ninja turns to face Randy and says, "The Sanctum Sanctorum, it's a place where only magical beings can normally see, or it can be seen when it wants to be seen. It's a sacred place ninja. You do not want to have the current resident to be angry with you or your friend."

Randy rubs the back of his neck and asks, "Are they going to tell me about these elemental gems or something?"

The first ninja chuckles, "I might allow them, but you need to find this place."

"Is it really necessary for me to find this place? I mean Howard and I aren't even partners on this trip so…" Randy trails off hoping his mentor understood his predicament.

"That actually complicates things, but it shouldn't be hard for someone like you." The first ninja admits.

"What should I do even if I decide to go to this Sanctum place?" Randy asks knowing that this would complicate his plans to see the heroes. "Why do you even want me to go there?"

"Everything will be explained when you get there. I need you to trust me on this."

Randy sighs in defeat. "Ok, I better get the full story about all of this. I doubt you would have me come here for no reason."

The first ninja nods his head and smiles beneath the mask. "It's nice to see how serious you've been taking this even though I haven't explained anything yet."

"Thanks, but I better get the full story when we get there." Randy says narrowing his eyebrows at the first ninja.

"You will get it. I give you my word."

Randy nods his head and smiles, "Good, I'll see you later today." He turns around to walk away but stops when he notices that he wasn't leaving the nomicon. "Why am I not going back to my mind?"

"Do you know what the Sanctum Sanctorum looks like?" The first ninja asks the current ninja.

Randy turns around and rubs the back of his neck. "Honestly…ok, I got nothing."

"I'll bring up a picture for you to look at along with the address for where it should be."

"Thanks ninja."

"Don't mention it." The first ninja watches as Randy disappears then turns his attention back to the five gems on the five tree stumps. "Randy Cunningham, the time has come for us to go beyond our normal duty. Let's hope that the gems are not in their hands." He makes the five gems fly up into the air and pulls them to him.

"You didn't tell him." A figure in a blue robe with the hood up says as he walks up to the first ninja.

"There wasn't enough time." He makes the gems disappear and turns to the person walking towards him.

"Was he in a situation where you couldn't explain everything?"

"Yes, but he'll be told everything later today."

"I still don't see why he should be told at all. He's still too immature to be the next major holder of the ninja mask."

"Everyone grows up Plop plop, and the elemental gems cannot be avoided since the sorcerer is gone."

Plop plop lowers his hood and frowns, "You never told any of the previous ninjas about the elemental gems though."

"You should know that the Sorcerer was my main concern, since the gems were powered down by his magic."

"Now you're concerned that they are back at full power for evil purposes." Plop plop finishes sighing in defeat. "Do you think those two are up to finding the gems?"

"Let's just hope none of them are active at this very moment."

"Now remember, you guys should go ahead and try to get some rest before we head out tomorrow to explore the town." A grayish-black hair man says as the teens were leaving the group to head to their rooms.

Randy and Howard walk away and head into the elevator without anyone in it. "I still can't believe we are not travel partners." Howard says as the elevator doors close in front of them.

"You should be happy they allowed us to be roommates. I know I am." Randy counters getting his friend's mood up a bit. "Besides I actually have somewhere to be tonight, and I am thankful that we were told not to leave tonight."

"How long will you wait to leave, and where are you going?" Howard asks raising an eyebrow.

Randy puts his right hand on Howard's left shoulder and whispers, "I'll leave after an hour has passed. By then everyone would be asleep or passed out long enough for me to put on the mask and slip out."

The elevator doors open for them to exit on their floor, and they exit the elevator and walk to their room. "Whatever you say man, but you should bring me along."

Randy rolls his eyes. "If we both leave the room, then both of us would get in trouble. I shouldn't have to remind you how many more detentions you are left with before you get expelled." He glances at his best friend and frowns, "Besides what I'm going to be doing isn't really interesting."

"What are you doing then?" Howard asks narrowing his eyebrows as Randy walks up to their hotel room.

Randy pulls out the key card and swipes it saying, "Relax, I'm just going to learn some history." He opens the door and enters the room with Howard following. "The nomicon wants me to learn about some type of mystical gems." Randy half-lies leaving out specific information that Howard might actually like to know.

Howard shuts the door behind him with his right foot and says, "Oh, why couldn't you just say that in the first place?"

Randy sets his bag down on the bed closest to the window and asks, "Do I have to remind you about my secret identity?"

Howard shrugs, "Maybe." He puts his suit case down on the other bed and sits down on the bed. "Anyway, what do you want to do until you leave?"

Randy jumps from rooftop and lands on the next rooftop not stopping his feet from moving. He repeats this process for a couple blocks but stops when he sees a specific building in the distance. He pull out the nomicon from his ninja suit and opens it to the page showing what the building will look like that the nomicon explained to him earlier. He looks at the drawing then back at the building a couple blocks away seeing the exact design that the first ninja gave him to look at. "Good, I'm almost there." Randy puts the nomicon back in his ninja suit and looks at the distance. "Would it be safer for me to go by foot or as the way I am?" He wonders putting his hand against his chin.

"I was wondering the same thing."

Randy turns around to see a blonde hair girl in a dark blue track suit with red boots and red fingerless gloves. He takes notice of the black mask over her head showing only her eyes and hair and asks, "Uh, who are you?"

"You could call me Force." Force tells him as she narrows her eyebrows at Randy. "Now who are you and why are you hopping across the rooftops of New York City?"

"I am Ninja, and I am the protector of those who are endangered by others who use other people for evil purposes." Randy explains hoping this would get the girl off of him but frowns beneath his mask when he notices the girl glaring at him.

"Are you mocking me?" Force asks not liking his explanation at all.

"What?!" Ninja yells in surprise with wide eyes. He put his hands up in front of him and shakes his head. "No no no, I'm not doing anything like that. I originally protect another city. I'm only here to visit someone at the moment. I promise!"

"Force, what are you doing? We need to be heading back home." Another female says as a pink haired girl lands on the roof.

"I'm dealing with someone here Angelic Code." Force explains pointing her hand over at Ninja who was standing there staring at Angelic Code with wide eyes.

Angelic Code looks over at Ninja and glances over his ninja suit. She turns her attention back to Force and says, "When was the last time you looked up anything about ninjas?"

"Where are you going with this?" Force asks getting a feeling in her gut that Angelic Code already knew who the person was.

"That's the Ninja, and I don't mean any ninja. He's a ninja who's been around for over eight hundred years." Angelic Code explains.

Force puts one hand and slaps her other hand over her face as she looks away from Angelic Code. "Wait a minute," she turns her head back to Angelic Code, "you mean to tell me he's eight hundred years old? I don't believe it one bit."

"It's true." Ninja says deciding to be professional at the moment instead of going out of his mind with someone he was hoping to meet as a civilian. "I've been protecting Norisville from the Sorcerer who was sealed up until a few months ago."

"What happened to the Sorcerer?" Angelic Code asks curiously.

"All I'm going to say si that he's no longer a threat to society." Ninja tells her before turning around to look at his destination. "Now if you excuse me, I have somewhere to be." He jumps off the roof and disappears into the dark surprising both females.

Force moves her left foot forward about to go after him, but Angelic Code puts her arm in front of Force. "Let him go."

"He barely told us anything, and you're just letting him go?" Force asks.

Angelic Code turns around and narrows her eyebrows at Force. "There are times when someone is being secretive and when someone is being protective. He might not have told us anything, but he was doing it to protect us."

"You're going to hack the security cameras again, huh?" Force asks crossing her arms over her chest.

Angelic Code giggles, "No, the ninja is entitled to his secrets, besides he's more skilled than we are anyway." She turns around and flies up into the air. "Phantom is waiting for us so we can go home. We can't keep Professor Xavier waiting on us."

Force sighs and runs after Angelic Code making invisible barriers for her to run on as she goes across the rooftops. 'Whoever this Ninja is, Aelita knows about it. I'm guessing she hacked S.H.I.E.L.D. again, but knowing her she could have done anything to get that knowledge.'

Randy lands on the ground a block away from his destination and looks around the area carefully. He removes the mask and walks out of the shadows of the street with a cautious look in his eyes. He sees no one around and starts casually walking down the sidewalk acting like he was not jumping from rooftop to rooftop. He stops in front of the Sanctum Sanctorum and pulls the nomicon out of his jacket. He opens the nomicon and asks, "Do I knock or walk on in? You never specified if I could do either."

The words in the center of the page move around and stop to say, 'You can just walk on in.'

"Sweet." Randy shuts and stuffs the nomicon into his jacket and walks up the stairs to the building. He grabs the doorknob and enters the building shutting the door behind him. He looks around the area noticing how the inside looks way bigger than he thought when he looked at it from outside. "Ok, this seems pretty normal." He mutters as he walks by multiple magical artifacts unaware that they were magical. "Why would the nomicon bring me here?"

"I'm actually curious myself." Randy jumps in fright and turns to the voice to see a figure walking down the stairs. He notices the cape but was unable to figure anything else out about the man. "Why would a normal teenager come to the Sanctum Sanctorum? Most teens would stay away from a place like this or want to trash the place just for fun."

Randy gulps as he feels the atmosphere around him become a little heavy. He rubs the back of his neck and says, "Yeah, I'm still a bit confused why he wanted me to come here, but he said it will have something to do with the five elemental gems."

The figure walks out into the light revealing his face and black hair and looks down at Randy with a curious gaze. "How do you know about the elemental gems?" The man asks curiously.

Randy pulls the nomicon out of his jacket and says, "I was told by my mentor who is inside the ninja nomicon." The man pulls the nomicon from Randy's hand and has it fly into his right hand catching Randy off guard by the sudden movement. 'I was definitely not expecting that.'

The man opens the book and feels the energy given off the book as it the pages flip and stop on a certain page where he sees a ninja meditating. "I see."

The ninja opens his eyes and looks at the figure holding the nomicon. He stands up and makes a group of words appear above him. 'Do you have the spell to allow me to talk to the current ninja out there?'

The man raises an eyebrow and releases the nomicon leaving it floating in the air in front of him. The man takes a few steps and mutters some words getting the book to glow. Randy watches in surprise and covers his eyes with his right arm once the light became super bright. He lowers his arm a bit and squints his eyes to see what was happening. He watches as the light dies down and the first ninja comes out of the book in a physical form.

Randy blinks a couple times and stares at the first ninja in surprise. "Wait, there is actually a spell to bring you back to life?!" Randy asks his mentor.

The first ninja shakes his head. "No ninja, this is only me in spirit. How long do I have?" He asks the figure.

"You have a couple hours at least. With it being night time you might have more than you naturally would, but I would advise you not to leave the Sanctum or to fight anything. It will shorten your time." The figure tells the first ninja.

The first ninja nods his head. "Thank you."

"I'll see if Wong will make you guys some tea." The man says before walking away leaving the two ninjas alone in the room.

"Let's go somewhere more comfortable. The story is going to be a long one." The first ninja tells Randy who nods in agreement.

"What were you planning on telling me about these elemental gems? You never mentioned anything about them until recently which is weird." Randy admits as he leans forward on the couch he was sitting on.

"I am surprised that you are even telling him about the gems." A Chinese monk says as he puts down a tray with four cups and a pitcher on the table in the living room. "Whatever happened to the Sorcerer?"

"He has finally been taken care of by the current ninja." The first ninja answers as he walks by the fireplace.

"Yep, I removed the orbs that made him evil and sealed that stuff back up so no normal human could become evil again." Randy explains as he leans back putting his hands behind his head. "Then the good and evil halves rejoined back together, and his spirit moved on in peace."

"That's actually good to hear. It is one less evil sorcerer for the world to worry about." The black hair man says as he sits down on the chair near the fireplace.

"It is, but his power on the elemental gems would have released after his disappearance which worries me." The first ninja admits.

"There's that term again." Randy says putting his hands on his legs. "What are the elemental gems, and why did you decide to tell me about them now?"

"What I'm about to tell you is going to change your life forever Randy Cunningham, and no one else will be able to handle it more than you."

"Ok…"

The first ninja nods his head. "Back before the mask was created, there were five humans that were gifted with the five main elements to protect the world. Each of these warriors were gifted these powers without any type of containment, and over time they lost control of their powers."

Randy winces at the idea of losing control. "How much power did they have to lose control?"

"Too much I'm afraid." The Chinese monk admits as he hands Randy a cup filled to the brim with tea.

Randy watches the Chinese monk walk over to the other figure then turns his head back to the first ninja. "He is correct. They had too much power, and if their power wasn't contained then people would die because of it. It was only a couple hours later when the Sorcerous Supreme showed up and saved them from their eternal doom by sealing the elements into the gems. The consequence of doing so was also sealing up the five beings into them as well."

"What?! But that's just wrong!" Randy yells in surprise.

"Indeed, but they agreed to it to save their world. Once they were sealed up they were put in safe keeping making sure nothing bad like that would happen again, but something did happen that caused many people to die." Randy takes a sip from his drink as the first ninja takes the cup of tea from the Chinese monk. "An evil man found the gems and took them for himself. Many people died fighting him to get the elemental gems back from his clutches. It wasn't until the Sorcerous Supreme interfered that the man was taken down."

Randy whistles impressed about the Sorcerous Supreme. "Who is the Sorcerous Supreme anyway?" Randy asks curiously.

"The Sorcerous Supreme went by the name 'The Ancient One' and was alive for a long time until recent events." The man on the chair says as he accepts the tea given to him by the Chinese monk. "Thank you Wong."

Wong gives a small bow to the man and says, "You are welcome my friend."

"Who's the current Sorcerous Supreme then?" Randy asks curiously.

"You're looking at him." The man says as he sets the tea down on the coffee table next to his chair. He gets up on his feet and gives a small bow. "I am Dr. Strange, the new Sorcerous Supreme."

"I guess his age and fighting must have gotten the better of him." The first ninja says setting the tea down on the table. "I knew it would have happened at some point, but I wasn't expecting someone young to take his place."

"Yes, but perhaps we could talk about this later. You were explaining about the elemental gems and the man who took them." Dr. Strange says as he sits back down on his chair.

The first ninja turns his head back to Randy and says, "Yes, he was taken down, but the people inside the gems lost their lives, but the elements were still contained inside them. The Ancient One thought it would be best to use a small part of the power from those gems to create a failsafe in case something like that would happen again." Randy's eyes widen in realization, and he pulls the ninja mask out from his jacket. "Yes Randy, he created the mask."

"How long did it take for the mask to be used by you?" Randy asks his mentor.

The first ninja chuckles, "I was given the mask when the Sorcerer attacked the grounds. No one used it before then, and nothing really happened with the elemental gems until the Sorcerer came to life." Randy's curious face became serious at the mention of the Sorcerer. "He wanted more power and servants powerful enough to conquer the planet. His first choice of attack was our secret training grounds where we train to become sorcerers of the mystic arts to protect innocent people from the demons from the other side."

"Was Tengu one of these demons?"

"Yes, but he's a complete different story." The first ninja sighs remembering the events of the old days. "Many of my friends were killed or turned by the Sorcerer. The Ancient One gave me the mask to fight the Sorcerer, but I doubted I could even do it at the time since I was still young at the time. Because of my doubt the Sorcerer got his hands on the elemental gems and left us to take down those people he has transformed into what you called them today."

"They were stanked."

The first ninja nods his head. "Yes, we didn't know how to defeat them at the time, but the moment we did, I decided to after the Sorcerer to stop him from causing any more trouble. My friend Plop plop went with me to ensure nothing bad could happen or would happen."

"I read about Plop plop actually." Dr. Strange speaks up. "He barely had any talent for the mystic arts to begin with."

"I'm not going to deny that." The first ninja admits knowing that his friend was terrible using magic. "Plop plop wasn't the best, but he was still loyal which is rare in these times."

"Agreed." Wong says.

"We found out later the Ancient One put a spell on the elemental gems that would deny access to their power for anyone with knowledge on how to use magic."

"What happened to the gems?" Randy asks curiously.

"After you and your friend returned back to your time, I assigned Plop plop to protect one of the four orbs which you know, and I decided to activate the security spell which would scatter the elemental gems across the world."

"So all we have to do is find those gems then. That sounds easy to me."

The first ninja shakes his head at Randy's simple idea. "There's more to the story Randy." Randy frowns at that statement. "Before we got the elemental gems back, the Sorcerer put a curse on them. Whoever activates the gem for the first time, the person would be influenced to do dark things."

"That gives me an uneasy feeling." Dr. Strange admits not liking what happened to the gems.

"Wait, what would happen if the gem was already activated, and no one is using it now?" Randy asks trying to find out if the gems could be used for good purposes.

"It's likely, but the gems were also cursed to be extremely weak if the person was able to push away the evil influence from inside the gem. The downside was that curse was only active while the Sorcerer was still around." The ninja explains not liking how the situation went. "If the person has found a gem, they are most likely still alive since the gems can slow down the bodies aging process. For how long is something I don't know."

"Is there any way we could track them?" Randy asks curiously.

"In order for us trace the gems we need a part of each gem's energy to locate it." Dr. Strange explains hoping Randy understood what he meant.

"What about the ninja mask? Shouldn't have traces of the energy from the gems inside of it?"

"It could be possible." Wong admits looking at the mask in Randy's right hand. "The mask was created with their power, but it has been a long time since it happened."

"It is always better to try than do nothing at all." Dr. Strange says as he gets up from his seat. He reaches his hand and pulls the ninja mask out of Randy's hand. The mask floats over to Dr. Strange and stops a few feet. Dr. Strange closes his eyes and looks for traces of gems' energy inside the mask. "Hm, it seems there is energy still inside the mask, but it isn't enough to trace the gems."

"It was worth a shot." The first ninja admits as Randy gets up off the couch. "Now all we need to do is hope no one has found those gems."

Randy walks up to the first ninja and says, "We'll find them, but I have one question about all of this." The first ninja nods his head allowing Randy to ask his question. "Why did you wait to tell me about this now?"

The first ninja sighs, "I knew you were going to ask that, but the answer is actually simple. Out of all the people who became the Ninja, who was it that fixed some of the mistakes from the previous ninjas?"

Randy rolls his eyes. "I made my own mistakes too. You should know that." Randy crosses his arms over his chest not getting the real reason for the question.

'He's still clueless and stubborn, but he wouldn't be the ninja if this is all he was.' The first ninja thinks. "You know what I mean."

Randy sighs, "Fine, I fixed some of their mistakes and made sure that one of the past ninjas lose his memories. What are you getting with this?"

"Have you ever wondered why the mask was passed down?"

Randy rubs the back of his neck and says, "I honestly have not thought about it. I guess I just thought it was tradition."

"It became tradition because not one of the previous ninjas could handle the job without thinking about themselves, and I honestly thought history would repeat itself with you until you went into my past." Randy blinks a couple times feeling confused on why the first ninja would bring up that incident. "When we officially met I saw someone not worthy to wear the mask. After time you finally proved that you are worthy to wear it, and after you guys left I realized that you were the next actual chosen one to wear the mask to be the true ninja just like I was."

"Wow, that's…wait a minute, are you saying that I'm actually keeping the mask after I graduate from Norisville High?" Randy asks feeling extremely happy inside his mind.

The first ninja smiles beneath his mask and nods his head. "Yes, but keeping the mask also means more responsibility along with more training."

"This is so bruce!" Randy yells happily putting his hands up in the air excited that he gets to break the tradition. "I get to keep the mask and learn stuff most other ninjas never got to learn…" Randy stops his sentence when a specific thought entered his mind. "Wait, would I be learning stuff the other ninjas never learned?"

"I think we should be able to arrange some stuff for you to advance with your abilities." Dr. Strange answers. "He'll have to go through some specific tests before we could enhance his training."

"You can leave training him with his elements to me in the nomicon. The suit has him automatically know how to fight, but he barely knows how to do it properly without the suit." The first ninja explains to the Sorcerous Supreme. "He will learn with the right motivation."

"Wait, what do you mean by that?" Randy asks pointing his right index finger and raising an eyebrow at his mentor.

"Don't worry about it." The first ninja replies back getting the subject to drop immediately.

Randy shrugs his shoulders and asks, "When do you want me to start?"

"Meet us here tomorrow. Then we'll take you to where your test will begin." Dr. Strange answers. He walks and hands the ninja mask back to Randy.

Randy takes the ninja mask back and puts it in his jacket. He looks at the first ninja and asks, "So what will you do now?"

"I'll stay here until my time is up. You have some tests to take tomorrow, and I doubt you would want to be tired for these tests." The first ninja tell his heir.

"You know. This might actually be the first test I actually want to take." Randy admits. He walks over to the table and grabs his cup of tea. He gulps the tea down his throat and sighs in delight. "That should give me enough energy to get back to my hotel." He sets his glass down on the tray and turns to Wong. "Thanks for the tea."

"You are welcome." Wong replies back giving the boy a smile.

"I'll see you guys tomorrow then." Randy gives them a small wave before running out of the building. He goes into a dark alley and puts the mask on allowing the ninja suit to cover his entire body. He swings his scarf out onto the lamp post and pulls himself up to the roof. He starts running across the rooftop wanting to tell his best friend everything that just happened.

"I'm surprised he stayed calm during all of that." The first ninja admits as he walks up onto the third floor with Dr. Strange.

"Most kids his age care more about their technology than anything else. I'm surprised he's excited to do this." Dr. Strange replies back.

"We'll see how he does tomorrow. What were you able to find out about the elemental gems?" The first ninja asks changing the subject to the real reason why he was here.

"The energy from the mask was not enough for me to track them as I mentioned earlier, but I was able to find out that three of them are currently active: fire, earth, and air." Strange tells the first ninja as he pulls a book out of the bookshelf that had information about the elemental gems. "Honestly, I was surprised that I never read up on these gems before."

"Not surprising, the gems were under lock and key, and the Ancient One never told anyone about them until the Sorcerer came after them, but with fire, earth, and air active I will have to start teaching Randy the water techniques."

"Has he unlocked anything with the mask?" Dr. Strange asks as he flips through the pages of the book.

"He has unlocked ninja rage which would be useful for him against the air, but he still has yet to unlock the second form to it. He might unlock it soon though, and with the proper training he'll start unlocking some of hidden techniques."

"Does he know the art of healing?"

"He does which should surprise me, but he learns with the right motivation. He might be still new to all of this, but he has learned so much in such a small amount of time. None of the other ninjas have learned as fast as he has."

Dr. Strange finds the page about the five elemental gems and nods his head. "That's good." He turns his head to the first ninja only to see him fade away. "I'll be seeing you later then."

The first ninja nods his head and gives a small salute before fading away saying, "Don't break him."

Dr. Strange chuckles at the small joke and turns his attention back to the book in his hands. "There is always something out there that people would want, but how could something like these gems stay hidden so well from our eyes?"

"Maybe they are waiting to be found by those they believe are worthy of their power." Wong suggests as he walks into the library.

"That would make sense, but there has to be more to it than we know." Dr. Strange says feeling like there was more to the story.

"If there was, he would have told us after the current ninja holder left." Wong counters not wanting to see his friend stress over about the elemental gems, even though he was curious himself.

Dr. Strange sighs, "You're right." He shuts the book and sets it down on the table. "I'll look over it in the morning. I'm certain you know how to test the boy."

"I can come up with some tests that will show us his limits."

Dr. Strange nods his head. "Good, if our first ninja is right about the boy, we don't want to make the test easy for him." Dr. Strange walks out of the library with Wong following him and says, "Tell me when he arrives. I want to see how well he does on the test."

Wong smiles and stops as Dr. Strange walks into his room. "I'll be sure to let you know."

"Good night my friend."

"Good night." Wong watches his friend shut the door then walks to his room to get some sleep for the next day.

Randy jumps through the open window into his hotel room and shuts the window behind him moving the curtain in front of it. He removes his mask and looks at his best friend sleeping on the bed that was closer to the bathroom. 'Goodnight Howard.' Randy thinks giving his best a friend a small smile. He grabs his pajamas from his bag and changes his clothes from his black slacks to black shorts and his red shirt to a black t-shirt with a picture of the ninja mask on the back. His shoes and socks were tossed to the side, and the jacket was tossed onto the only chair in the room, but the nomicon was set down on the desk next to his wallet. 'Hm, I better get Howard and me a snack for later. Don't want to get behind because of his hunger.' He thinks.

Randy grabs his wallet and exits out of the room quietly. He walks down the hall and stops in front of the vending machine to see that the snacks were a bit pricier than he was thinking. "Randy?" Randy turns his head to see Theresa walking up to him in a blue robe and furry slippers. "What are you doing out here?"

Randy smiles at her feeling a little uneasy inside his stomach. "Oh Theresa, I'm…" He clears his throat and says, "I'm out here getting Howard some snacks for tomorrow. I don't want him to have us get behind because he couldn't choose his snacks. Besides…he was going to use my money anyway." He opens his wallet and sticks the dollar bill in the machine. "What are you doing up?"

"Would it be wrong to admit that I wanted a snack before going back to bed?" She asks him her cheeks turning lightly pink embarrassed that she asked him that.

"I don't see anything wrong with it." Randy admits as he puts another bill in the machine. He puts in the code for the snack and glances over at her. "I'm surprised you're even up this late, but I guess this makes it easier to talk to you without everyone around us."

"What do you want to talk to me about?" Theresa asks feeling super excited that Randy wanted to talk to her.

"There's a place I want to go to tomorrow, and I know that we made plans to walk around looking at the sights…"

"Sure Randy."

"…But I…did you just say 'yes?'" Randy asks his brain registering the words she just said.

Theresa puts her right hand up to her mouth and giggles at his surprised response. "We can go where you want to go Randy. What is this place you want to go to?"

Randy gives her a sly smile. "Now that, Theresa, is a surprise. It isn't exactly something most people know about, and you don't have to worry. The place isn't illegal or anything like that. It just wouldn't be something you would expect." He tells her not wanting to spoil the surprise.

Theresa smiles, "Cool, I'll see you tomorrow then." She turns around and walks away leaving Randy alone to get more snacks for Howard. She enters her hotel room and shuts the door sighing happily. 'He's taking me out somewhere secretive.' She thinks as she leans against the door sighing dreamily. 'This is going to be awesome.'

'I'm an idiot!' Randy thinks as he smacks his head against the vending machine. 'Howard is going to laugh at this, and I don't even know what the first ninja thinks about it. I wonder if Dr. Strange has a magic spell or something that could wipe her mind if she finds out about me being the ninja.' He removes his head and grabs the last snack from the bottom of the vending machine. He walks back to his room thinking, "Either way tomorrow is going to be a long day.' He enters his room shutting the door behind him planning to get some sleep for his test tomorrow.

Well, I know not many people were expecting this, but the next two chapters are going to be connected with the Randy Cunningham arc. If you did notice, Randy is actually maturing as the ninja. I know it is a trend for Randy and Howard to act immature at almost anything – to an extent of course – but if you haven't already guessed Randy and Howard are in tenth grade. If you have not read my side story where other characters are getting recruited to stop the invasion, then you would know Randy was going to be included and he promised his parents that he would start being more responsible or something like that.

Anyway, Aelita and Rachel make a minor appearance, and Danny was only mentioned. I never thought they would have a small role in this chapter to be honest. Unfortunately, they might not be in the next chapter either, but they will be in the third chapter where Randy will join them to fight a villain. Who is the villain? I'm not going to spoil it.

Will Theresa find out Randy's secret?

What kind of test will Randy go through?

Is Howard going to break the rules and see what Randy is up to?

Howard: You bet the cheese I am!

I guess we'll find out the next chapter. I hoped you guys enjoyed the chapter, and I hope you guys leave a review on what you think about this chapter. R&R
