"Do you want to explain why you wanted me to help?" Ladybug asks as she gives Phantom a harsh look. "I have the people in my country to protect as well Phantom. You can't keep calling me to help you guys out with every problem you have."
"Stop pretending that you're mad." Phantom says not really caring for her words. "You only get to fight the same type of opponents every time you're on the field. Do you get tired of your villain's stunt after stunt?"
Ladybug sighs knowing that he hit the nail on the head. She looks away and gives a small shrug. "Yes, but someone has to protect the citizens. I can't let evil destroy the city and win the fights after all." She glances at Zeke then at Ninja not sure why Phantom needed her for. "Why did you want him to bring me here anyway?" She asks turning her eyes back to her friend.
Phantom glances at Ninja and waves at him to tell Ladybug the situation. Ninja nods his head and looks at Ladybug who moves her attention to him. "There's a magical orb known as the Chaos Pearl. This orb can give anyone incredible power, but there's a drawback."
"It turns them evil." Ladybug mutters not liking where this was going.
"Yeah, the last time I saw any of these orbs was when I sealed them back up away from anyone's reach." Ninja continues knowing that he could trust her since Phantom recommended her to be here. "I don't know how, but someone got their hands on one of the chaos pearls and used it to put a group of people to sleep."
Ladybug blinks a couple times in surprise. "Why would something so powerful be used to put people to sleep?" She asks finding the sudden information a bit weird.
"We don't know." Phantom admits as Zeke walks up next to Phantom. "What we do know is this man could become even more dangerous if he figures out how to use the orb."
"The energy can turn people into monsters, and if he had all of them, he could control space and time if he knew how to use the power." Ninja explains getting the others to look at him shock.
"You could have mentioned that earlier!" Phantom says.
Zeke closes his eyes and balls his hands up not liking how dark the situation was becoming. "How do we find and defeat him?" He asks Ninja.
"We need to take the orb from him, and he should return to normal, but without the proper protection you could become possessed by it." Ninja explains not really liking the fact that someone had gotten their hands on an evil magical item.
"Do you have a way to find him?" Ladybug asks her joking idea with Phantom completely gone from her mind.
"We could bate him out." Phantom suggests getting the others to look at him wanting to hear what his idea could be. He looks over at Zeke and asks, "How do feel about acting as bate to get the man to come out?"
"I'm not sure asking a kid who isn't even a teenager to do something so dangerous is a great idea." Ladybug points out disagreeing with Danny's idea.
"It's not the age that needs to be worried about." Ninja counters getting Ladybug to look at him with a raised eyebrow. "This guy attacked his kind, and he's one of the people who wasn't put to sleep. We involve anyone else, and his superiors will make us leave since they don't know what we're about to do."
Ladybug turns her head back to Danny and asks, "Did you purposely leave out the fact that we're doing this as a small team?"
Danny smirks at her and asks, "Would you still have come?"
Ladybug gives him a soft glare and crosses her arms over her chest. "That would depend if you thought you could trick me into coming."
"I'm seriously getting some weird vibes from this conversation." Ninja mutters.
"Can't argue there, and I barely know anything about relationships between the opposite genders." Zeke says agreeing with Ninja. "I'm still confused on why he wanted me to get her though."
"It's because she isn't known to people outside of France." Phantom says getting a soft gasp from Ladybug.
"Are you saying that people from America do not know who I am?" Ladybug asks feeling a little worried about her heroic image.
Phantom shakes his head and chuckles at her sudden worry. "You really need to have your priorities straight sometimes Ladybug."
Ladybug makes a cute pout with her face and mutters, "It would have been nice to know what people think of me in other countries."
"Could we get back on the problem we got?" Zeke asks feeling a little frustrated at how easily distracted the others were getting. "This guy could be coming up with ways to use my people, and you guys are joking around!"
"You have a lot to learn Zeke." Ninja says getting Zeke to glare at him. "If we always worry about the situation, we could end up doing some things that could end up biting us back in the behind."
"He does know that's not true right?" Ladybug asks Phantom quietly.
"I honestly have no clue what goes on in Ninja's mind." Phantom mutters.
"Right…Let's just go over the plan and save those people." Ladybug suggests before they find themselves talking about something that they did not need to talk about.
"Alright," Phantom claps his hands getting everyone to look at him, "the plan is simple. We need to find him and figure out what his goal is, and the only way that we can pull it off is to have Zeke or Teddy become bait."
"I'll do it. Teddy will be caught up with the Tutors, and I doubt he would be much use to gather information." Zeke says knowing how his friend would act in the situation.
Ladybug nods her head. "Ok, I might not like it, but it's possibly our best bet. The rest of us will stay in hiding waiting for the man to fall for the bait."
"Once we got the information we needed, I will be the one who takes the orb from him. The suit will protect me from the evil influence allowing nothing bad to happen to the rest of the people." Ninja finishes explaining.
"If he starts making any moves with the Chaos Pearl, we make sure that he doesn't do anything that could affect Zeke's friends and family." Phantom reminds everyone. "Let's move!"
Zeke walks through the forest and keeps a serious look on his face. 'All I need to do is get this guy to come out of hiding and gather some information. A lot harder than it really is.' Zeke thinks as he keeps his eyes on his surroundings.
"Now why would you be all the way out here?" Zeke hears behind him.
"I'm here to stop you." Zeke answers turning around to see the hooded figure with the Chaos Pearl in his left hand.
"You couldn't stop me the last time I attacked your kind young tamer. What makes you think that you have a chance now?" The figure asks not really believing that the kid could defeat him.
"I have my reasons, but I don't know why you attacked my people. Why would you do something to us?"
The figure chuckles evilly, "Do you really think that I'm that stupid kid?" Zeke narrows his eyebrows at the man not liking the question. "I know what you are doing, and I don't intend to tell you what I am up to."
"Why not?"
"You have a lot to learn about interrogating kid. My master has so many ways to get what he wants, and once I finish the collection, he will have all the dom energy he will ever need!"
Zeke crosses his arms over his chest and frowns, "What does your master want with our dom energy?"
The man chuckles, "What did I say kid? I'm not stupid enough to give you the answers…right now anyway." He pulls out a rope and has some of the energy from the orb cover it. "Now, be a good boy and let me catch you."
Zeke makes his hands glow with his energy dom and growls angrily at the man. Zeke watches as the man throws the rope at him and fires his energy dom at the rope. The energy bounces off the ropes surprising Zeke, and the rope raps around his body tying him up in a knot. Zeke looks at the rope and tries to break himself free but realizes that he could not reach his tamer powers. "What did you do to me?"
The man chuckles and snaps his fingers allowing the rope to tighten around Zeke. "You'll be finding out soon enough." The man tells him before lifting Zeke over his shoulder. He walks away not noticing the three figures following his trail.
'This better work.' Zeke thinks not liking the idea that he was being held by the hooded figure. "Where are you taking me?"
The man rolls his eyes and makes the energy enter Zeke getting the boy to become unconscious. 'Let's just get this over with. I got to meet the boss before having the others come to the base to get their powers drained.'
The three heroes follow the figure from a distance and stop when they see the man enter an abandoned warehouse near the body of water they were at. They stop on top of another warehouse and stare at the abandoned warehouse with narrowed eyebrows. "Ok, he's inside." Ladybug mutters.
"Why does it always have to be somewhere in the middle of nowhere?" Ninja asks curiously.
"It's just how some people work Ninja." Phantom answers not really caring about the situation on how villains like to work.
"Yeah, but if his boss wants their energy or whatever they have, why would they come here?"
"The machine might take too much power." Ladybug answers as she looks over the warehouse carefully. "If I wanted to use a machine that uses too much electricity, I would do it where it would be easier to get away. If you do it inside the city, they will track everything to you and make it so much harder to escape."
"That might be true, but it doesn't make sense why this man would want their powers." Phantom points out as he scans the specific parts of the warehouse. "Zeke explained that his powers are meant to tame and protect the monsters, but what else could it be used for?"
"I rather not wait and find out." Ninja says giving a strong point for the others to agree.
"Let's go." Phantom leads the group to the warehouse and leans up against the wall with the other two right behind him. He sticks his head through the wall and looks around the area carefully. He stops when he notices the big tube with an unconscious untied Zeke lying on the ground inside of it. He pulls his head back out and says, "Ok, I'll faze us into the warehouse, but we're going to need to hide in different places if we want to stop him."
"Let's do this." Ninja says seriously.
"I'm surprised you captured the boy." A figure says as a shadow covers him not allowing anyone to see who was speaking.
The hooded figure kneels down on the ground in front of the figure and says, "Yes my lord, I have started to learn much more about the Chaos Pearl. The power is enthralling, master. I feel like I can do so much more, but I held myself back to keep the attention off us."
"Good, we cannot afford anything to go wrong with the current plans." The figure tells his servant. "Have the others start coming to our location. Once the boy's powers are drained, the others will be soon to follow."
"Yes master." The hooded figure says. He pulls the orb up in front of him and commands the tamers in the Ancient Armory to come to their location. The man lowers the orb and his head saying, "They are coming."
"Excellent, start the power extraction. We cannot afford to waste any more time." The figure commands his subordinate.
Phantom watches as the figures walks out into the light and widens his eyes when he sees who it is. 'No, what is he doing here? Why would he be here?' He thinks as he stares at the man walking out in his metal armor with the green cloth covering his body not including his arms and legs, a brown belt holding the cloth in place, and a green hooded cape being held by two gold metal pieces connected with a small gold chain.
Ninja stares at the figure in confusion trying to figure out who he was staring at. 'Why can't I figure out who that is? I know that it's on the tip of my tongue. He's too familiar that he can't be easily forgotten.'
Ladybug stares at the man keeping a straight face as she does not recognize the important figure in front of her. She notices the man's armor and mutters, "I don't think this man is an ordinary villain." She gazes over the man's armor from her hiding spot then turns her head to the man with the orb. 'I need to get that orb away from him, but Ninja will need to be the one to grab it since it might have a negative influence on me.'
The leader steps up to the chair connected with the machine and sits down on the seat as his subordinate finishes typing in the commands. He hears something fly at the machine and turns his head to see a chain sickle come straight at the control panel. "Poor choice." He raises his hand and fire a blast of energy knocking the chain sickle away from the machine.
Ninja pulls the chain sickle back and grits his teeth on how his weapon was easily deflected by the man in his armor. "Sir?" The hooded figure asks turning his head to his master.
"We got some unwanted company." The man stands up from the chair and raises his hand straight at Ninja in his hiding spot.
"Oh man, this is going to sting." Ninja mutters as the man fires a blast of energy at him. Ninja jumps down from his hiding spot and lands on the ground barely avoiding the blast of energy. He looks straight at the man and mutters, "Phantom is going to give it to me for shoobing this up."
"That idiot." Ladybug mutters not liking the idea of Ninja giving away his position. "You really had to screw things up…huh?" She looks at the man who was pointing his other hand straight at her. Her eyes widen as she realizes that he knows where she is hiding in the warehouse as well, and she jumps away from her hiding spot barely avoiding the blast of energy that was shot at her.
The man fires another blast getting Ladybug to jump to the ground to avoid the blast. The man points his hand at Phantom who stares at the man with disbelief in his eyes and fires a blast of energy at Phantom. Phantom makes himself intangible allowing the blast to destroy the boxes he was using to keep himself hidden and sighs in defeat. 'I should have known we couldn't stay hidden from him.' Phantom thinks as he walks out of the dust created from the boxes that the man destroyed.
"Now our guests have arrived and shown their faces." The man says keeping his gaze on Phantom. "Hm, this is definitely an interesting development."
"Doctor Doom, your attack on these people will end today." Phantom tells Dr. Doom.
Doom chuckles at Phantom's statement finding it hilarious that someone who is barely registered as a hero would threaten him. "Foolish child, you and your friends are the ones that will end today." Doom tells the teen.
Phantom glances at Ladybug then at Ninja. "You guys save Zeke and his people."
Ladybug nods her head, but Ninja's eyes widen behind his mask. "Phantom, have you gone bonkers?! You're going to fight Dr. Doom alone?! He's one of the best super villains in the world! You wouldn't last a second!"
"Now isn't the time for questioning Ninja!" Phantom yells back at Ninja.
Ladybug looks back at Dr. Doom when she heard Ninja mention that he was one of the best super villains in the world. She stares at the armor noticing the fine detail to it and gulps when she realizes that his armor looks powerful. 'Ninja is right. Phantom wouldn't last a second, but he isn't doing it for the glory.' She turns her head to Ninja and yells, "Ninja, we need to get Zeke out of there before they drain his powers!"
Ninja glances at Dr. Doom then back at Phantom and mutters, "Don't you dare die on me man."
"I wouldn't dream of it." Phantom replies back before the two leave him alone with Dr. Doom.
Dr. Doom glances at the two not really interested in them or what they were planning to do and turns his attention back to Phantom. "Do you really think you could take me on by yourself?" Doom asks Phantom.
"It doesn't matter if I can or not." Phantom mutters. He creates a sword out of ice getting Doom to raise an eyebrow under his mask. "I just have to make sure I can get us to fight long enough for my friends to finish the job."
"You will soon learn why no one crosses paths with Dr. Doom." He raises his hand and fires his energy at Phantom who turns intangible allowing the blast to go through him. Doom lowers his hand slightly and fires a blast at the floor Phantom was standing on.
Phantom jumps into the air and swings his foot at Dr. Doom avoiding the blast. He feels Dr. Doom grab his foot and makes his foot filled up with his ghost energy. "Have fun with this!" He shoots his ecto-ray from his foot getting Doom to let his foot go and take a couple steps back from the recoil of the blast.
Doom stares at Phantom raising both of his hands up at the teen. "Show me what you really got Phantom." He fires multiple blasts of energy at Phantom who makes a force field to block all the shots being fired at him. Phantom turns intangible, lets the force field down, and throws his ice sword at Doom who stops firing his blasts of energy. Doom grabs the ice sword and gazes over it before flipping it for him to hold the handle. "Nice try kid, but something so trivial doesn't work on me."
"It's a good thing that it isn't trivial then." Phantom replies with a smirk on his face.
Doom looks back at the sword and crushes it when he feels the cold seeping into his armor. "Well, it seems I have a little upgrading to do." Doom mutters not liking the idea of Phantom's ice seeping into his armor.
Phantom makes an ice sword appear in each hand and asks, "Tell me Dr. Doom. What do you have to gain by stealing people's power to protect monsters?"
Doom chuckles, "A lot more than you can even think about." He points his fingers at Phantom and has the fingers open getting Phantom's eyes to widen in surprise. "Let's see you handle this one."
Danny turns intangible and flies at Doom who fires his finger lasers multiple times at the teen. "I think I can handle it." Phantom swings both swords down and makes himself tangible last second allowing both swords to hit their target, but he did not expect them to be grabbed by Doom's hands.
"Foolish child." Doom crushes both ice swords and kicks Phantom in the stomach getting to gasp in surprise by the sudden force of the hit. Doom grabs Phantom's neck before Phantom could fly back from the force of the kick. He slams Phantom into the ground and raises his left hand at Phantom's face. "You were never worth my time."
Phantom keeps his mouth shut and puts both of his hands on Doom's arm's armor activating his ice powers. 'Let's see you handle the cold.'
Doom feels the cold enter his armor and grits his teeth. "You're still foolish." Doom fire the energy from his left hand, and Phantom goes intangible last second getting out of Doom's grip and barely avoiding the attack. Doom watches the teen go through the floor and narrows his eyebrows. "Your power can only save you so many times."
"That might be true, but I will use it how many times I will need to." Phantom comes out of the ground behind Doom with both of his hands glowing green. He fires both blasts at Doom and widens his eyes when Doom turns around and absorbs the energy into his armor. "Oh no…"
"Did you seriously believe that would work?" Doom pushes his energy back at Phantom who stops his attack and puts up a force field to block the attack. "Foolish child!" The energy blasts right on the force field getting it to blow up on Phantom.
Danny flies back from the blast and crashes into the wall behind him and groans in pain. 'I hope the others are having better luck than I am.' He thinks.
'This guy is terrible at using the orb.' Ninja thinks as he stares down at the unconscious hooded figure. He grabs the orb from the man's hand and shakes his head. "How did Zeke have any trouble with you?"
"Don't start Ninja." Ladybug says as she looks at the buttons on the control panel. "Not everyone has battle experience. We're just lucky you knew how the energy works."
"Right…I totally knew how to take the man down so easily." Randy says sarcastically. He twirls the orb on his index finger and glances over at Ladybug. "He thought he knew how to use the orb, but he failed to realize that he didn't even scratch the surface."
"Forget about that. We need to make sure that…" Ladybug turns her head to the crashing noise to see Doom standing in place with both of his hands up. "How dangerous of a threat is this Dr. Doom anyway?"
"If we fought him right now, we have a pretty good chance at never being alive in the next twenty seconds." Ninja admits gulping in fear.
"What does that make Phantom then?" Ladybug asks as she watches Doom walk over to Phantom.
"A dead man." Ninja answers. He pulls his sword out and walks up to the tube putting the orb under his scarf.
Ladybug watches Doom pick Phantom up off the ground and punch Phantom in the gut. "We need to help him."
"Yeah and get ourselves caught freeing Zeke before he is even free. Phantom is distracting him, and we need to finish our job before Doom finds out his follower is already down. I thought you knew this already." Ninja stabs his sword into the glass and kicks the glass breaking it into many pieces.
"I do, but I feel like Phantom will die if we don't do something."
"Then you help him." Ninja puts his sword away and puts Zeke over his shoulder. "I need to get Zeke and the others free from the evil energy before they arrive."
"Then go. I'll help Phantom." Ladybug jumps towards Phantom and Doom while Ninja jumps to the ceiling wanting to leave the area to free Zeke from his unconscious state.
"You should have allowed them to help. You would have had a better chance at beating me." Doom tells Phantom as the teen gets up off the ground green blood falling from his mouth.
"Yeah, then it's a good thing I have more energy to go around." Phantom makes his hands glow blue and slams them into the ground getting the ice to cover the ground beneath him and Doom.
"Are you really becoming that desperate Phantom? My knowledge is beyond what you can comprehend."
"Then it's a good thing I wasn't planning on trying to make you fall." Phantom tells the super villain. Danny starts absorbing the ice through his feet and has it go through his whole body giving him a nice chill to his core. He shuts his eyes and reopens them to reveal ice blue eyes instead of glowing green eyes. "Now I'm full of energy."
Doom crosses his arms over his chest and stares at Phantom with a calculating look. 'This teen might be worth studying after all, but it's too bad that he has nothing worth studying.' He raises his right hand and asks, "Do you think some simple trick will fool me?"
"Now, who ever said it was a trick?" Phantom asks getting his hands covered in ice. "My cryokinetic powers have been getting a lot stronger as we fought."
Doom chuckles as he puts together the meaning behind Danny's words. "I see. You've been using those swords to gain more energy. I guess you are a bit cleverer than I thought."
"Technically I'm a C+, but I am an ace at battle strategy."
"Prove it."
Phantom runs at Doom and swings his fist which connects with Doom's fist. Danny smirks and has the ice start growing onto Doom's armor getting the man to push Phantom away and raise both his hands at the hero. Phantom turns intangible allowing the energy blasts to go through him and flies through Doom allowing his ice core to start freezing the inside of the armor.
'I might actually be fighting a powerful teen. Too bad he's still a rookie.' Doom activates the heating inside his armor and turns around grabbing Phantom's head before the teen could attack him. "Rookie mistake kid." He slams Phantom into the ground and raises both of his hands together. He brings his enclosed fists down at Phantom but sees a yo-yo wrap around his wrists getting them to stop moving down. "It seems we have an unwanted visitor."
Phantom fazes into the ground, and Doom turns his attention to Ladybug who was glaring at the man. "I will not allow you to harm Phantom anymore." Ladybug says feeling a bit protective of her friend.
"You have a lot to learn Miraculous wielder." Doom yanks his arms getting Ladybug to fly straight at him in surprise. Doom swings his fists up and hits Ladybug right in the stomach getting the girl to gasp at the pain in her stomach. He grabs the string and pulls Ladybug onto the ground then slams his foot on her back getting her to scream at the sudden pain on her back. "You shouldn't have interfered."
"And you should pay attention to what I'm doing." Phantom slams his fist into Doom's armored face and gets Ladybug's yo-yo off Doom by turning it intangible for a quick second. Phantom turns around and swings his foot with ice covering the heel of his boot. He slams it right into Doom's stomach and pushes the man a few yards away from Ladybug. He glances down at Ladybug worried about her condition. "Can you stand?"
Ladybug grunts in pain and tries to pull herself up off the ground. "I can try." She admits as the pain in her back did not feel good at all.
"Find Ninja and make sure the others are free from the energy inside the orb. Right now you have no way to fight this guy, and I'm not saying that to stop you from interfering."
"I get it." Ladybug grunts and swings her yo-yo up to the ceiling. She swings away trying to push through the pain in her back. 'I should have listened to Ninja.' She gets up on the beam and glances back at Phantom and Doom as they continued attacking each other. 'After this is over I'm going to be needing a lot of training.'
Ninja sets Zeke down on the ground and pulls the orb out of his scarf. "I hope this works." He mutters looking at the orb not liking the idea that he must use the orb to save the tamers. He closes his eyes and looks for the energy inside of Zeke. He feels the energy inside of Zeke and directs the energy to come out of the preteen's body. He opens his eyes to see the energy come out of Zeke's body and directs the energy to flow back into the orb in his hand. "Well, that's one down and many more to go."
"Ugh, what happened to me?" Zeke asks as he slightly opens his eyes from his unconscious state.
"You were unconscious because of the chaotic energy that was used to put you to sleep." Ninja tells the blue hair preteen.
Zeke leans up on the ground and looks at Ninja with a raised eyebrow. "Did you guys stop him?"
"We stopped the guy who had the Chaos Pearl, but his master is on another level of power." Ninja looks back at the warehouse then back at Zeke. "We don't have much time. Your friends and family are on their way here, and I need to get that energy out of them things get even more shoobed than it is."
"What does shoobed mean anyway?" Zeke asks as he gets back on his feet.
"It means messed up."
"Then why not say messed up instead of shoobed?"
"It sounds cooler."
Zeke allows the words to settle in his mind and shakes his head in defeat. "I will probably never understand what goes on in the mind of heroes."
"That's probably for the better." Ninja admits. He walks a couple steps away from the factory and stops when he hears a familiar noise behind him. He and Zeke turn around to find Teddy, Dr. Strange, and the two cats Jeremy and Timothy behind them. "Oh good, you guys are here."
"We figured something was going down when our friends and family started to wake up and leave the Ancient Armory." Teddy starts explaining.
"We figured you had something to do with it, Zeke, since you disappeared along with our other surprised guests." Timothy says as he walks up to Zeke. "You're in trouble for leaving and planning something without telling us."
"Don't blame him." Ninja says before Jeremy could speak his thoughts. "Phantom and I thought of an idea that could lure the guy in and stop the evil plan. Unfortunately, the plan got really complicated when we found out who the boss was."
"You mean he wasn't alone? Who was it?" Jeremy asks wanting to know everything he could about the situation.
Ninja looks at Dr. Strange and says, "Dr. Doom."
Dr. Strange's eyes narrow at the answer. "Why is Dr. Doom here?" He asks cautiously.
"To drain their powers." Ladybug answers as she walks up to everyone making a small wince from the pain in her back.
Everyone turns their attention to Ladybug, and Jeremy and Timothy widen their eyes when they realize who was standing in front of them. "What is a Miraculous wielder doing here?" Timothy asks turning his head back to Zeke and Ninja.
"She's here because Phantom believed she could help us." Zeke tells his friend. He turns his head to Timothy and asks, "Is there a problem with that?"
"Yes, the Miraculous wielders are supposed to keep the balance of those who use them wrongly not help other people with other people." Timothy explains.
"Sorry I'm not up to your standards." Ladybug mutters not liking Timothy's tone. "Some of us are willing to go out of our way to protect the people of this planet."
"Let's worry about saving the other tamers before they get inside the warehouse where Phantom is fighting Dr. Doom." Ninja says getting everyone to look at him. "How far away is everyone right now?" He asks wanting to get an answer from the group.
"If our trackers are correct, then we only have a couple minutes before they arrive." Teddy answers Ninja. "How far do they need to be for you to gather the energy from the others?"
Ninja smirks beneath his mask and tosses the orb up in his right hand. "I don't know honestly, but if they should be here soon, I should be able to gather the energy now." He takes a few steps forward and closes his eyes to focus his mind. 'Focus the mind and command the sorcerer ball to absorb all the energy that was put inside the tamers.' He thinks as he raises the orb above his head.
Everyone watches as the orb starts to glow brightly and has the energy move around inside the orb. They watch as green energy starts to appear from in front of them and goes straight into the orb in the Ninja's hands. "Is he really doing it?" Jeremy mutters finding that the masked vigilante was absorbing the evil energy.
"We won't know until we see the others." Timothy reminds his fellow tutor.
"True, but this energy feels the same as to what that guy used on them."
"I know, and it worries me that anyone could use that orb."
"We'll have to worry about who will have it once this is all over."
"Agreed."
Ninja feels the chaotic energy all around him as it enters the orb and finds himself staring at his dark self in his mind. "You know you want to use the power Randy." The dark Randy tells his holder.
Randy stares at his dark self and asks, "Are you certain I want to use it? I mean foreign power can't help you defeat me."
The dark form grits his teeth at Randy's remark. "I will beat you one of these days."
"Yeah, if I actually come back. I'm only here because of the Sorcerer Ball, and we know what will happen to us if takes control."
The dark figure frowns and crosses his arms over his chest. "Don't think I'll help you because I want to."
"You got no other choice." Randy snaps his fingers and his dark self disappears in a puff of smoke. "I can't become the greatest ninja if I let the darkness control me. I guess my battles are just beginning." He mutters not liking the idea one bit.
Ninja opens his eyes and lowers the Chaos Pearl as the rest of the energy enters the orb. He stares down at the orb and was about to tuck it under his scarf when a force of energy blasts the orb out of his hand. Everyone watches the orb fly up and into Dr. Doom's right hand surprising everyone at the sudden turn of events. "Where's Phantom?" Ladybug asks immediately.
Doom looks at the orb in his hand and chuckles, "He's fine for now. I had another urgent matter to take care of, but it seems I was too late to stop you from freeing the others." He turns his attention to Ninja who was glaring at Doom with his sword drawn. "I thought you guys would have been an easier fight, but I guess you and Phantom have a lot more worth than I anticipated Ninja. I will see you around."
"I can't allow you to leave with the Chaos Pearl Victor." Dr. Strange says as he starts calling upon his magic.
"Let him go." Ladybug tells Dr. Strange surprising everyone except for Dr. Strange. "We can't afford unwanted attention."
Zeke and Teddy grit their teeth not liking how their situation went south in just a couple seconds. Jeremy and Timothy glance at each other then at Ladybug who was staring at Doom's back with a blank look in her eyes. Dr. Strange and Ninja withdraw their hostile stances and watch Doom walk away with a chuckle. "I guess you're a little smarter than I gave you credit for Ladybug."
"You're right." Ladybug mutters. She swings her yo-yo straight at the orb surrounding it with the string and pulls the orb back into her hands in just a few seconds. "I am smarter than I look." She tosses the orb back to Ninja who catches it with wide eyes.
Doom stares at Ladybug and frowns beneath his mask. "I will get that orb back."
"I like to see you try." Ninja counters as he puts the orb in his ninja suit.
Doom turns back around and walks away saying, "You better watch your back kids. Don't let a petty victory go to your head, or you will regret it."
Phantom sits against the wall and sighs, "I wasted my energy. I really need to train some more." He hears a noise to his left and turns his head to see a giant clock appear out of nowhere. He stares at it in surprise and mutters, "What the…Is that a person coming out of there?"
"It's good to see you survived the battle."
Danny stares at the hooded figure not sure how he should react to the situation. "Uh, who are you and what is going on?"
"I don't have time to explain Phantom, but someone will be in danger in a couple hours, and you, Ninja, and Ladybug will be needed to save this person."
"Now I'm even more confused." Phantom mutters.
"You'll see soon enough." The figure raises its hand and blasts Phantom with some energy making the teen disappear like he was never there. "Now I need to get the others who should be arriving in a couple seconds."
"Phantom!" Ladybug and Ninja yell as they run through the door.
They look around the area frantically and stop when they see the hooded figure. "Who are you, and where it Phantom?" Ninja asks as he pulls his sword out.
"Phantom is fine, and you guys will be seeing him again in a few seconds." The figure answers raising its right hand at them. "As for who I am, I am a Time User, and you guys have someone I need you to save before this person becomes erased from history."
"What do you mean?" Ladybug asks cautiously as she narrows her eyebrows at the figure.
"I wish I could explain more Ladybug, but I have a job to do." The figure blasts energy from her hand and hits both teens before they could react to her attack. "There, that is done. Now I need to get one more person. I wish Professor Paradox and Clockwork would be a bit more specific when they have me do stuff like this. I have finals to study to graduate high school." The figure walks back to the clock and disappears in a flash leaving behind no trace of its presence.
Phantom opens his eyes and sighs when he feels the wind blow on him. He leans up and widens his eyes when he realizes that he was not inside the warehouse anymore. He gets up on his feet and looks around to find Ninja and Ladybug on the ground near him in their civilian forms. He looks down at his body and notices that he was in his human form. He hears the two teens groan and watches them as they lean up trying to get their bearings together. "Are you guys feeling alright?"
Marinette looks up at Danny and mutters, "I'm fine." She blinks a couple times when her brain processes that Danny was in his civilian attire. "Wait, why are you not Phantom?"
"Probably the same reason why you are not Ladybug and he is not Ninja." Danny says pointing at Randy.
Randy looks around carefully and stops his eyes on Danny and Marinette. He looks the over carefully and asks, "Are we in our normal clothes?"
"Yep, that person must have done something to make us turn back to normal." Danny points out.
Randy gets up on his feet and stretches his limbs feeling like he just woke up. "Man, I feel like I just got a reset or something."
Marinette rubs her back and notices that the pain Doom left there was gone. She gets up on her feet and makes sure the pain was gone. "Huh, whatever that person did, I no longer feel the pain Dr. Doom inflicted on me from the fight."
"What happened to us anyway?" Randy asks curiously.
"That's what I want to know." The three teens turn around and find a red-haired teen girl walking up to them.
"Uh, who are you?" Randy asks getting a smack on the back of the head from Marinette. "What the cheese?!" He looks back at Marinette and says, "I don't even know what to call you since I only know hero identity."
Danny rolls his eyes at Randy and turns the teen saying, "Sorry about him, I'm still wondering if he's mentally stupid. I'm Danny Fenton."
The teen watches Danny reach his hand out to shake and decides to shake it while saying, "Hey Danny, I'm Wilhelmina Vandom, but you can call me Will."
Danny nods his head as they remove their hands from each other. "It's nice to meet you Will. Did you meet some weird person in a cloak before getting here?"
"If you mean 'getting here' by waking up without knowing a single thing going on, the I can definitely say 'yes' to that question." Will admits crossing her arms over her chest. "I'm guessing this person met you guys as well."
"Yes, and we were in the middle of finishing something when this person came out of nowhere and brought us here." Marinette tells the girl. "I'm Marinette by the way."
"You can call me Randy." Randy says as he puts his hands in the pockets of his jacket. "I would brag about myself, but we got other things to worry about."
"He's right." Will says not sure where she and her three companions were. "We need to find out where we are, why we are here, and how that person brought us here."
Randy pulls his phone out of his pocket and brings up the location on McFist map app his parents had him install. He zooms in on his phone and says, "Ok, my phone says we're in Royal Woods, Michigan."
"Ok, so we're back in the U.S." Danny says feeling relieved that he was in his home country.
"Wait a minute, we're in the United States of America?" Marinette asks Randy.
Randy nods his head and glances at the time blinking a couple times in surprise. "Hey Danny, what time was it when we went to go help Teddy and Zeke?"
"I don't know…noon I guess. Why do you ask?" Danny asks Randy.
"Because my clock says that it is only ten a.m."
The hooded figure walks down a hallway and ignores every door that it passed by. The figure walks into the room at the end of the hallway and looks up at the person with a purple hood floating in the air while looking at a video of the four teens that were recently transported to their location. "You did the right thing." The purple hooded figure says.
"I still don't like this plan Clockwork." The first figure says.
"You still have a lot to learn about time, and when the time comes you will be joining them out there as well."
"When do you want me to get the last member?"
Clockwork glances back at the hooded figure and smiles at the person. "You can go retrieve her now and arrive at the time the fight starts." He instructs the hooded figure.
"Ok." The figure leaves the room leaving Clockwork alone.
"Time has a funny way of working, and the four are about to become something bigger in the future. What they decide now will affect how they work later." Clockwork smirks, "It will only be a little longer until we finally meet Phantom, but you got someone else to meet first. Your adventure has barely begun."
Oh man, Clockwork has made his second appearance after so long, and who was that mysterious figure?
Wilhelmina Vandom has officially made her appearance but at the most random time. Everything will be explained later why she is here though. If you do not know where she is from, she comes from the show W.I.T.C.H. and is the leader of her team who call themselves the Guardians.
I will probably make the next chapter first before making the two side-stories. I did mention that Randy will be getting his own small story that follows him up to the invasion, and other characters will be making appearances in his story as well. I will not reveal who will be showing up besides Phantom and Dr. Strange since they were obvious to start with, but if anyone asks for the Secret Trio to have a couple of chapters, I will put my foot down since I'm not building a story on just them.
I will mention that Will's role in the story will become way bigger after the next chapter. If you have read the recruitment side-story, you should know what I'm talking about.
Aelita will be taking a back seat for a bit since I tend to make her the main female protagonist of the story, but you guys already know why she has this all of this on her. Randy will not be making any more appearances after the next chapter until the invasion though.
If you haven't guessed where our heroes are…never mind. We're going to involve the Loud House next, but the person the heroes will have to save will not be someone most of you will expect. I actually planned for this next chapter for months, and I am finally doing it.
